Chapter 3

Chapter 3 on the New Lobby

During the first part of this chapter, you try to escape this ship. There are several pages which can be found on the ship; they are non-interactible. These pages contain tiny bits of lore which all give a backstory of the twisted world of the game. To escape, you have to find a code to open the door. After escaping the ship, you end up in a Sakura forest. There is a monster (Kaito) in this Sakura forest, in addition to several lanterns aligning the path to important areas in the forest which have a 50% chance in protecting you from the monster (Nightmare Mode only). In the forest, you find a small hut which has a small puzzle in it. Once you complete this mini-puzzle, a cabinet opens, revealing a blade which you must give as an offering in the well to open the seal in the cave. Once you break this seal, you get Teleported into a watery area with hands coming out from each side. You have to avoid these hands, as you die if they touch you. During this, Kintoru asks if you are still trying to find your friends or if you are just trying to survive. After you complete the puzzle, the witch tells you that the butterfly spirits are the souls of your friends, and that using the butterfly spirits destroys your friends’ souls too. To move onto part 2, you have to go on top of the tree and find a butterfly spirit to put on a pedestal, which opens the door that leads to part 2 of chapter 3. Once you complete this task, the lady chases you for using the butterfly spirit, even though you know that they are your friends’ souls and using them will destroy your friends’ souls. After this, you teleport to the second part of chapter 3.

Now you are in the room of a house, where you have to find a key to get out of. After you exit the room, you enter a hallway, and you are tasked to find a blade, a rose and a corrupted spirit. The blade is in the first room to the right. The second room to the right contains a key, which opens to a room at the end of the hallways. The rose is in there. The third room to the right has the corrupted spirit. Go back to the main room with the statue that has pedestals near it. Once you put all the items inside their respective pedestals, the locked door (which is down the hallway, take a right turn) opens and walk forward to it. You are transported into a hallways with the words, «Am I pretty?» written on them. At the end of the hallway, you find an entrance to a house with many rooms. There is a statue behind a pot emitting smoke. There is also a blocked-off door in that room as well. You have to click 5 bells throughout the house while avoiding the monster, Mihari. She can’t enter the room with the statue and smoke pot. One bell is behind a fallen wardrobe, another is under a table, one is inside a cabinet, one is next to the TV, and another is next to a plant. Once you finish this task, you will have to grab the soul from Mihari herself and burn it in the object emitting smoke. To grab her soul, you must be near her (without dying) and there will be a pop up that you can press. There are times when she disappears from view, but you can still grab the soul from her. (Tip: the best method is to lead her into the room with the statue and try to grab her soul right when you enter since she can’t go into that room.) A cutscene comes up of the blocked-off door opening. Go inside and you will be teleported to part 3.

In this part, you are teleported back to the house, but everything is disturbing and is darker. A monster lies dead on the floor; there is a locked door, and a key that opens the door near the dead monster. It leads to a passageway with jumpscares that trick you by turning you the other way. The passageway leads to a cave with a giant centipede-like creature in it (Omukade). There are four pillars in this cave, all of which are red and must be turned green by clicking on the skulls and forming the correct pattern. These patterns are randomly generated, so there is no set pattern. While doing these, you also have to be aware that the centipede monster will attack you. Unlike other monsters, it is not a one-hit kill; instead, it drains your health, depending on how many times or how long it touched you. I recommend using the Ancient Fan or the Corrupted Lantern. Upon completing the puzzle, the exit will open up, and you’ll find yourself in a hallway; when you walk through the hallway, the Witch will tell you that the monsters are your ancestors. At the end of the hallway, you find your house, and go inside it. That is where Chapter 3 ends. In the end screen, it will reveal that the witch (Sama) is actually the Centipede Monster (Omukade) and that she is controlling every monster like a puppeteer and his puppets.

Nightmare mode differences: Monsters will be faster and have higher vision, the skull maze will be extended and some of the skulls will be placed differently. Upon completing Nightmare Mode 3, you will be awarded with the Corrupted Lantern which gives you more light and regeneration.

After getting teleported to the La Quinta high school, you find out that your father(mother in nightmare mode) is there. You must find 13 butterfly spirits inside the school all while avoiding the monster. after collecting the last butterfly, you get teleported to a village.

After getting teleported to the village, walk till you find a door and enter. There will be a statue in the center of the room with the code-2573. Find a butterfly spirit and use it against the spirit door. Continue along the path till you see a cabinet. Use the code seen on the statue on the cabinet to unlock a key. Use this key to the door across the spirit door and you will be teleported to a cabin. Open the door and you will be in a forest maze. Find 6 cursed items and burn them in the white flame in the center of the map next to a huge tree. After burning the 6th item, a cutscene plays and then teleports you to the final part of the chapter.

After being teleported, you receive a blessed blade to end Sama once and for all. Keep going straight until you see a spider web with all of the Masashige family members. A red door will appear. Go towards the red door and you will be teleported to Sama’s lair. Sama, who has morphed into Saigomo, will try to kill you. Destroy all seven hearts in order to receive two choices: Kill Sama or Save your parents. Kill Sama gives the good ending whereas save your parents gives you the bad ending.

Monsters

There are 5 monsters that you encounter in Chapter 4.

In Chapter IV Nightmare, all monsters have a increased speed of 25%.

Tokito is the first monster that attempts to kill you in Chapter IV. They appear in groups and are scattered around the cursed swamps. The Tokito(s) are mannequins that the Player encounters in a swampy environment. They are tall and are made of wood. Tokito(s) just acts like The Shizus, they only move when it is not looked at and when spotting the Player, the Player will get a stamina and speed boost as he will try to catch up and kill you.

It is better to go into a classroom if possible to avoid Daku, since he can’t enter the classrooms.

The 2nd monster you encounter (In Nightmare Mode), is Keiko, a woman that appears to be tall, with a dirty gown. She have a long black hair, Her head seems to be covered in chains, just like her husband Daku. Keiko is an alternative for Daku and will only appear as a monster in Nightmare IV, she acts just like him but replaces him by a lot. She will have her own model, her own jump scare and even a spotlight. In Normal mode, she only appears as a harmless monster other than having the most jump scares. Another about this is instead feeling the ground shaking, she will play music which covers some sounds of her come by but does not cover the sound of her loud pitches which can be taken advantage of when listening carefully.(best with headphones).

Kusunoki Masashige makes an appearance in Chapter 4 after Chapter 2. Kusunoki is faster and harder to avoid, he has the same appearance as his Chapter 2 variant, but different clothes. He retains his hands on his back but holds 2 katanas, wears larger clothing and a larger hat. He appears in Part 2 after completing the objectives in the La Quinta High School.

Sama has morphed into Saigomo and her name has been revealed to be Kintoru said by Kusunoki. Saigomo is a form of a spider and a woman. After crossing the bridge, you shall be brought to a cave, It’s best to run before the chase sequence will start. Once it does you shall now be chased by Nure-Onna, you have to touch the black wall at the end of the cave before she catches you to get to the village.

Part III

When you spawn, go straight until you see a house/minka. Open the door and go straight down the hallway, you will then get a jumpscare of Senzai walking in you. Keep going straight until the game teleports you to the following point. You will be told by an NPC to talk to old man Keneo. Go through the little village and talk to Keneo, He will then task you with retrieving a seishin orb for him. You must find 5 paintings and memorize what they are, using the overhangs on the porches for safety from the monster (aka Kurobozu). The paintings are all in different doors and 1 door has a puzzle to retrieve the painting while another has the key for part 3.5. After finding all paintings, make your way to the locked door to retrieve the orb for Keneo.

Part IV

You will spawn in a vent. I recommend you to crouch immediately and go forward, because, once again, a chase sequence. Tenome will chase you in vents.

And straight to the vine here, unwield your lamp. Wait for her to pass, and then return to the room with hands.

Chapter 1 on the New Lobby

Yasu is at the main entrance of his old highschool, both front doors are locked so he has to use the back door. He follows bloody footprints which lead him to a small shed with paranormal activity occuring. In the middle of it, is a key. He uses this key to open a door which would lead to the Chapter 4 Class Building, but it was blocked off by wooden barricades. Yasu finds a large sakura tree, with a picture of Taka-Onna.

The House of Death

After getting out of the school, Yasu comes across a town-like area. He finds a particular house called «死の家» or «House of Death».

Keep walking down the path until you reach a small village. Talking to the farmer is optional. Avoid all the statues (most statues near lanterns are safe and will not attack you.) and sprint from lantern to lantern. Keep going until you reach a gate with a lever. Pull the lever to open the gate and go inside. Drop through the hole in the first floor and take a left until you reach a door. Use the key on the door and continuing to part III.

The Mimic is a ROBLOX adventure horror game made by MUCDICH.

Set in Japan, there are going to be approximately four books, each likely to have at least four chapters, and featuring one beast to be the main antagonist, along with many other monsters in the game, each with a different storyline.

The Mimic also has an extra gamemode called The Witch Trials. It is a prequel to the main events of the game and partially to Control’s Book. It has four phases and an ending, as well as an exclusive lantern for completing it in Nightmare Mode.

A survival spin-off game of The Mimic, titled Yōkai, is currently in development. This is a survival game which has mechanics that are a mix between Piggy and Flee The Facility.

Plots

Overall

Four stories created from Japanese history and urban legends with a twist. In each book, you will find yourself as different characters venturing into the unknown depths of mysterious worlds and facing the entities who started it all.

Control’s Book

A former high school graduate named Yasu Masashige goes back to his old high school in search of his missing friends. Eventually, he ventures into the depths of an unknown dimension of his home country, and meets a demonic entity responsible for cursing his ancestry. He shall continue his path and defeat her once and for all.

Jealousy’s Book

A younger brother named Isamu Uchiumi sets out on a journey to an island to investigate his older brother Senzai Uchiumi’s death case. Unfortunately, a huge Umibozu knocks him out as he then explores the mysterious world under the sea to face it.

The gm_bigmaze_without_stalkers does NOT have a navmesh, therefore npcs cannot navigate it, theres 3 stalkers and 1 gman present on the map, get the original version and using VJBase, use the «Remove All NPCs» command at the start.

Chapters

A chapter is a main division of a book, typically a number or title. The Mimic has 4 books with four chapters each, featuring one of The Four Beasts as the main antagonist. So far only Control’s Book has fully released, while Jealousy’s Book has just begun, and the rest of the books are yet to be announced later in the future.

Gameplay

Control’s Book

Chapters I-IV in Control’s Book involves Yasu finding his way through mazes while avoiding his cursed ancestors, family members, and the beast, Kintoru. The majority of mazes requires collecting or Butterfly Spirits to access doors or passageways to proceed to the next and/or room of the chapter. There are also puzzles that needed to be solved throughout.

After getting caught by one of the many monsters in the mazes, the player dies and will respawn at the start of the maze. The player will no longer respawn in Nightmare Mode, unless they purchase the revive gamepass or another player revives them.

Jealousy’s Book

While the entire storyline for this book is still incomplete (as of now), Chapter I-IV of Jealousy’s Book involves Isamu finding his way through different parts and places, all while avoiding different antagonists and Enzukai. Unlike Control’s Book, though, there is a lack of the iconic mazes and the gameplay is more focused on exploring in order to escape. It can include collecting keys, lighting up candles, collecting orbs, and so on.

As usual, getting caught by one of the monsters will result death in-game (though in some cases, you will only get knocked out and will have to be revived by another player unless you’re playing solo or are fully dead). Nightmare Mode logistics will retain in this book.

MIMIC Code Repository

The MIMIC Code Repository is intended to be a central hub for sharing, refining, and reusing code used for analysis of the MIMIC critical care database. To find out more about MIMIC, please see: https://mimic.mit.edu. Source code for the website is in the mimic-website GitHub repository.

Cloud access to datasets

The various MIMIC databases are available on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). To access the data on the cloud, simply add the relevant cloud identifier to your PhysioNet profile. Then request access to the dataset for the particular cloud platform via the PhysioNet project page. Further instructions are available on the MIMIC website.

Launch MIMIC-III in AWS

MIMIC-III is available on AWS (and MIMIC-IV will be available in the future). Use the below Launch Stack button to deploy access to the MIMIC-III dataset into your AWS account. This will give you real-time access to the MIMIC-III data in your AWS account without having to download a copy of the MIMIC-III dataset. It will also deploy a Jupyter Notebook with access to the content of this GitHub repository in your AWS account. Prior to launching this, please login to the MIMIC PhysioNet website, input your AWS account number, and request access to the MIMIC-III Clinical Database on AWS.

To start this deployment, click the Launch Stack button. On the first screen, the template link has already been specified, so just click next. On the second screen, provide a Stack name (letters and numbers) and click next, on the third screen, just click next. On the forth screen, at the bottom, there is a box that says I acknowledge that AWS CloudFormation might create IAM resources.. Check that box, and then click Create. Once the Stack has complete deploying, look at the Outputs tab of the AWS CloudFormation console for links to your Juypter Notebooks instance.

Anyone got any hints on the skull portion? People are saying it’s one NPC with a programmed path but I think we have a glitched server. Either A, she can teleport, or B, We have a double NPC glitch. We both die at the same time on opposing paths far down the hall.

@Bullet Basilio Yes, but its not a spider, its an black centipede who is based on a yokai name «omukade» but in game her name is omukade/kintoru, she have her own pathway ai so she cant go anywhere or follow you.

here’s a trick: after you get the blade, you can get out of the house and go to the right then stick to the walls. eventually, you’ll find the place you offer the blade and the seal where you can get out.

He can’t get you when you’re at the walls?

My opinion on chapter three:
Chapter Three added good lore to the story, but the gameplay was honestly not good for me. The part with the crusty lady (aka the lady in the part where you put the skulls in the hands) was nearly impossible only because she always knew where you were and camped. The only thing that saved me was her glitching out so she couldn’t move. Not to mention, it wasn’t that much of a scare. The jumpscares didn’t improve if I’m being honest, but their module designs did. All in all, the scariest parts for me was the background music in the crusty lady (because of how suspenseful and stressful it made that part) and the part where you walk through the hallway with all of the paintings of that one portrait. (That part was beyond unsettling for me, lol.)
In conclusion, probably a solid 5/10 because it wasnt that fun for me. Chapter Two was honestly more fun for me, haha

Me and my bro had seen a strategy where she goes around each skull pillar in a certain pattern and that there is a sweet spot to where one can camp, once we figured that out, everything just clicked, also the jump scares we’re honestly scary but funny😭

For me Chapter 3 is a solid 8.5/10
It’s scary in some parts but definitely under chapter 4 and Hallowean Trials for me- Those were good

Chapter 2

Chapter 2 on the New Lobby

Book I: Chapter II or Control’s Book: Chapter II is the second chapter of The Mimic: Control’s Book.

In the first part of Chapter 2, you spawn where you had left off in Chapter 1, In the Imperial palace. In this Part, You have no sprint and have to use clever tactics to flank the monsters. The First Monster that you face is the Rokurokubi, a yokai with an extended neck. You will have a few safe spaces where the Rokurokubi can not come. The Rokurokubi (Megumi) has a certain path but will pursue you if it sees you. You must go upstairs for the first part to get the key to the downstairs room on the right which has a lever to open a gate upstairs. The Rokurokubi cannot get you when you are upstairs in the rooms. It can get you on the stairs though. You must go to the room on the right upstairs to find the key. (The other room [the room on the left] holds a garden which is insignificant to progress.) The key lies on the table in the room on the right. Once you have the key, you must return downstairs to open the room on the right’s door (from the main entrance). The Rokurokubi will not get you in the room. You will find the lever in the room which you need to press to open the gate upstairs. You must make your way upstairs again and enter the hallway behind the gate. In the Hallway, the witch confronts you saying that she devoured your friends and that now she is them. Then, the Rokurokubi peeks its head out and then disappears. After this the hallway ends and you find yourself in a series of islands in a dark void which have bridges to one main island. When you make your way into this island, you find a gate with a lever next to it. Once you click on the lever, the gate opens revealing a hallway which leads to a room with a mini garden with a throne with a samurai statue sitting on the throne. Then, a gigantic samurai with multiple arms starts pursuing you and you must go through a passageway. There are small hiding holes on the walls of the passageway where you can hide in to avoid the samurai monster. Once you are at the end of this passage, there are two doors which you must open to get to a room which leads to a spirit door which requires you to get a butterfly spirit to open it. The butterfly spirit is in the door to the left. The door to the left has a mini garden which contains a butterfly spirit, you must now return to the spirit door and open it. Then you must make your way forward by going straight and open the door that goes straight. Then go straight and go left to find the blue butterfly spirit. Now go back and go left and open the spirit door, a hand will try to grab you but it can’t kill you. Once you make your way through the spirit door you will be teleported into part II.

You are now teleported to the Realm of The Forgotten. You must now follow the butterfly spirits which align the path. You will eventually find your way to a river with a bridge. The samurai will appear and will go across the river vertically. Once you cross the bridge, you will find the tree where the witch was once sealed. The seal had been taken off. Now go right and find a butterfly spirit and go back and then go straight. You will find the spirit door which leads to a passage. You must go right and find yourself in a hallway which mimics all the places you went through in Chapter 1 like the School and the Hotel. At the end you find the entrance to the hospital. You must now go front and then go left. Then go up the steps and go right. Then wait until the monster, Shaku, is distracted and then get the key and return. Go left and straight and left now and open the door in front of you. And go downstairs. You will now be in an area filled with water. Now go straight then right then straight then left while trying to avoid being seen by Shaku. (Shaku cant get you in the land, only in the water) and you will find the butterfly spirit. Then make your way back once you make sure Shaku went the other way. Then go straight and then right and open the spirit door and you will be teleported to Part III.

You are now in a maze. Go straight and then right and you shall be confronted by the witch who tells you that they finally meet now. Now you are finally at the entrance of the maze. The entrance is marked by 2 lanterns. You must try to escape this maze by finding a butterfly at one of the gardens in the maze. Only one garden in the maze has the butterfly in it. There are 3 gardens. The garden in between the two others is has the butterfly. There are many safe houses along the way which you can enter to hide from Sama and the witch. Now from the entrance, go right, then go left, then go right again then go left again and then go left and then go right and then go left again and you shall be at the garden with the butterfly. Collect the butterfly and go to the right and then go to the left then left again then right then right again and right again then again right and you will see the exit. Once you open the spirit door/exit, You go through a passage and you ask where the witch will be taking you now. And with that you reach the end of Chapter 2.

Nightmare Mode Differences: Monsters are faster and have vision range. Reaching the end of Chapter 2 will award you with the Spirit lantern which gives more light than the regular lantern.

Chapter III: House Maze

The House Maze is a stage in Chapter III, serving as the third stage of the aformentioned chapter. It features Mihari as a hostile character, unlike in the previous stages.

Storyline

After Yasu went through the banging door, he walks into a narrow hallway with the words «AM I PRETTY?» written on the walls. When he walks to a window, Mihari attempts to attack him but fails, and she went back into the dark forest.

Yasu opens another door to a maze that resembles a house, where he has to ring 5 bells in order to unlock Mihari’s corrupted spirit while trying to avoid her hunting him down. After successfully ringing all 5 bells, he is tasked to get her spirit and put it on an altar. When Mihari’s spirit is burned, she screams miserably while Kintoru taunts Yasu, calling him a murderer as Mihari is burned to death by an abnormally white flame, unlocking the door to Omukade’s Lair.

Objective

Your objective is to ring 5 bells that are found around the maze while evading Mihari. Some can be seen in plain sight, while others are more hidden.

After ringing 5 bells, you can now take Mihari’s spirit. You will then have to get the spirit from Mihari herself before going back to the entrance and placing it on the altar.

After burning Mihari’s corrupted spirit, a cutscene of her burning to death plays, which also shows the door to the next stage opening. Proceed to the door and you will be transported to Omukade’s Lair, the final part of Chapter III.

In-game Information

The maze resembles a house, except it’s like a labyrinth, with toppled over and misplaced furniture. Portraits of Kintoru can frequently be seen all over the house.

Bells

There are 5 bells in total that is needed to ring in order to unlock Mihari’s spirit. When a bell is ringed, it turns black and emits some white flames.

Corrupted Butterfly Spirit

Mihari’s corrupted butterfly spirit is needed to unlock the door leading to the next stage. Players must ring all five bells first in order to unlock it, then they must get it from her directly. Once it’s stolen, you must put it at the altar to burn it.

Altar

The altar is used to burn the corrupted butterfly spirit of Mihari. It’s placed at spawn.

Easter Eggs are little cool things that aren’t from the canon game, usually depicting from different popular franchises.

Sneak Peeks usually get shown from The Mimic Discord. This page shows multiple of the sneek peaks that MUCDICH made during the past, or present.

What is The Mimic?

The Mimic is a Survival horror ROBLOX game created by the user MUCDICH. There are a total of 4 books consistent of Rebirth, Jealousy, Rage and Control. Each having their own protagonist and antagonist.

In the first Book, you go back to your old high school to find your missing group of friends. The twist is, there is an entity lurking in the school. The name she goes by is Hiachi. Sama is one of the 4 World Devourers, being the Beast of Control. She controls people who were cursed by her, treating them like puppets on a string. However, you are special and has managed to overcome the curse. You soon travel in her twisted realm and explore the mystery.

Book II, III and IV haven’t been released yet.

Book II is most likely focusing on Enzukai, with a different protagonist than Book I.

For Book III and IV, we haven’t seen any clues for knowing what they are about.

The first thing you will need to do is equip the candles.

You have to open the door. There will be a long stairway right after this.

You enter this dungeon with statues, and you will find some of them are moving.

So you have to face them once you hear the Shaku-like footsteps. They’re afraid of the light.

Just walk until you reach the dead-end and teleport.

After that, move to the left side, there’s a door, and you’ll get teleported again.

You will arrive at the school in chapter 1, follow the same route you did there.

Instead of a door, it’s a garage door of another school building.

What you need to do here is collect the dead butterflies.

After that, you will need to hide in the classrooms or lockers. You have to close the lockers. Heartbeat, footsteps, and shaking is a sign; he’s near.

You need to collect two keys downstairs and Key 3 upstairs. Doors to be opened are upstairs.

After that, go back to the main entrance and open the locked door across.

You will be teleported there. Now you have to collect six items and burn them in a white flame. After that, you have to hide in the bushes.

Sama (様) also known as Kintoru (金とる) is one of the monsters (Enzukai, Netamo, and Yuma) and the primary antagonist of Book 1. She is one of the four beasts that rampaged across the earth. She is recognized as The Beast of Control.

Appearance

Sama appears as a tall, black humanoid, resembling a woman with slightly monstrous features. She has long, sharp nails, a socialite hat, a white mask, long black hair, a black dress, and what appears to be long black feathers, hanging from her shoulders and boots.

Omukade is a giant centipede-like creature that has a segmented black body and a swinging tail. She had several arms sprouting all over her back. She also had medium-length dark hair and wears a white porcelain mask with red lips and pink blush. She appears in the final area of Chapter 3 and is the first boss you will encounter without a health bar.

History

A bored eldritch God created Kintoru, Enzukai, Netamo, and Yuma due to wanting tools/puppets. They became the 4 beasts. The four beasts rampaged across the earth, Control, Jealousy, Rage, and Rebirth. For ten days they raged against their gilded cage. And for ten nights He fought against our people’s plight. The earth shook and our oceans burned. As he fought for hours, his back unturned. Control was sent to the east, where she was trapped in a cage, unable to feast. Jealousy was sent to the bottom of the sea, part of a forgotten legacy. Rage was trapped in his strongest cage, seething with wrath and counting her days, Rebirth was forced deep into the Earth, endlessly watching the world in reverse.

Later, Yasu ventures back in his school, not knowing that he entered Sama‘s dimension. Sama had already devoured Yasu’s friends and turned them to butterflies, they were the butterflies Yasu sacrificed in Chapter 2 & 3. Throughout her dimension, Sama taunts Yasu and chases him multiple times through a maze, her lair, and her labyrinth.

In chapter 3, She is the final monster we meet, in which she has morphed into a giant centipede-looking form named Omukade, meaning «Giant centipede», a Yokai in Japanese Mythology. You are required to turn all of the pillars from red to green in order to escape her lair, be cautious as Omukade roam the area. Once you turn all of the pillars green, a gate will open leading you back to your house.

The final time you meet Sama is in Chapter 4, where you see her in a spider form. You are tasked to destroy all of her 7 hearts while she roams the area. Once all of her 7 hearts are destroyed, you will get two choices. If you choose to Kill Sama, you will remove the curse and free your ancestors as her corpse is dragged to an unknown area by the Eldritch god. However, if you choose to Save your parents, you will become one of Sama‘s puppets, as she has tricked you into thinking that you would save your parents.

Jumpscare

In The Witch version of Sama, she shakes her face left and right very fast. In the Omukade form, she shakes her face violently with arms and the top sides. In her Saigomo form, her mask is shaking uncontrollably upside-down.

Book I

Book I is the first book of The Mimic which focuses on Yasu Masashige (The main protagonist) trying to find his missing group of friends at his old high school. Book 1 contains four chapters with a good and bad ending. It is noted that books will not be the only source of content in the mimic as events (such as the Halloween Event) and game modes (Such as The Witch Trials) do exist and they will have other content in The Mimic.

Plot of Book I

Chapter 1

You go back to your old high school, La Quinta Aztecs, to find your missing group of friends. Eventually, you notice your old high school has sightings of paranormal activity, and then venture into a mysterious world. After passing many monsters, you go through an elevator lift that takes you to an ancient palace that Sama made. (work in progress)

Chapter 2

After entering the palace, you start to uncover the secrets of the palace, and where your friends went. then a cave leads you to a forest with glowing blossom trees with the middle being a Large tree with a seal then behind the large tree you stumble upon a hospital with dolls then after finding a spirit door and a spirit to use it on the spirit door then Sama Leads you into a town after finding a spirit on one of the gardens and use it on a spirit door

Chapter 3

After Sama leads you to the ocean in which there is a boat nearby, and you decide to go on it and enter the mansion. You uncover some of the backstory of Sama, and the deal she made. As you explore the mansion, many monsters await your arrival. You are then lead to a submerged section of the mansion which Kaito is guarding the entrance of a sealed door. After escaping Kaito and opening the seal, you enter a split ocean and hands try to reach for you within the ocean. After managing to escape, you reach to a large sakura tree where Sama climbs on it only to dive back into the water. You climb up the tree to retrieve the butterfly spirit and place it on a pedestal. You are then sent to a house and collect certain items (a rose, a blade and a corrupted soul) to open a locked basement which leads into the Skull Maze. As you enter the entrance of the Skull maze, Mihari tries to grab you only to fail due to the boarded up door. After witnessing Mihari, you enter the into the Skull Maze where she awaits you there. After completing the Skull Maze, Sama leads you to a lake that she designed. You unlock the door towards the Ancestor Hallway, and then you get sent to your house. You are finally home, but something isn’t right.

Chapter 4

After heading inside your house, you head upstairs to your room, in which you see your mother hanging. The door closes, and you walk to the master bedroom. You collect the key located in there, and head into the basement. You collect a crowbar, destroy the barricades, and get the key inside of it. you head further down the basement, to see a giant lake of mannequins there. Some of them move, and once you get past the lake, you get sent back to La Quinta High School, and find out that your father (Mother in Nightmare Mode) is inside of it. You collect the butterfly spirits desperately trying to avoid him, and you then enter a large mansion. You enter the building, unlock the safe, and open the key to the 2nd locked door. You follow the path, leading to Cursed Kusonoki’s forest. You collect all of the cursed accessories, and burn them. Kusonoki(your great-grandfather) thanks you for freeing his soul from Sama and gives you his blessed blade. After that, you get teleported into Sama’s Seal, in which you use your blade to destroy all of her hearts. Which path will you choose?

Gameplay

The basic gameplay involves many twists. Each puzzle will become more difficult as the game progresses compared to the previous one as the monster will gain more speed. Endings

Good Ending

If the player has decide to kill Sama, they will have a cutscene where they can hear the Evil God saying «What a useless tool» to Kintoru. The player’s parent doesnt have any memory of what happened. Everything is normal, at least for now.

Bad Ending

If the player has decide to save their parents, they will be decived by Kintoru. Kintoru will tease them by saying «Wonderful, another one added to my collection. Humans are so easy to deceive.» Kusonoki already warned you.

Saigomo

Saigomo, also known as Sama or Kintoru, is the final boss of Chapter 4.

Saigomo is a half-woman and half-spider monster that has long, messy hair with long, sharp claws.

History

Control was sent to the east, sealed to a sakura tree and unable to feast. Jealousy was forced into the deep sea, part of a forgotten legacy. Rage was trapped in Kusunoki Masashige’s strongest cage, seething with wrath and counting her days. Rebirth was forced deep into the earth, endlessly watching the world in reverse.

Sama was an entity sealed to a Sakura Tree thousands of years ago, due to escaping a cage she was assigned to be trapped in forever after causing havoc on Earth. Years later, Sama was confronted by a young girl named Hiachi who soon became her best friend. They would talk to each other everyday. One day, after telling the young girl to take off the paper from tree, Hiachi did what she said and that made Sama even stronger, causing Hiachi to turn into one of Sama’s puppets.

Later, Yasu ventures into Sama’s dimension in the search of his friends, not knowing that they were the butterflies he sacrificed. After entering the Akuyami Village, Sama chases him throughout the area.

When you escape, Sama continues to taunt you until you meet up with her once again in a rocky cave flooded with water. Sama has morphed into a form named «Omukade», meaning «Centipede» in Japanese. When escaping Omukade, you are warped to your own home. When entering, you see Omukade with strings hanging from her hands, showing that she is the one in control of everyone else.

The final time you meet Sama is in the 4th part of Chapter 4, where she is morphed into a spider. You are tasked to destroy all of her 7 hearts while she hunts you. Once beaten, if you choose to Kill Sama, you will end her life as her corpse is dragged to an unknown area by the eldritch god. If you choose to save your parents, your avatar will appear in alot of strings with your parents in a cutscene. As that happens, Sama taunts you one last time by saying «Humans are so easy to decieve»

The Witch Trials

The Witch Trials on the New Lobby

The Witch Trials is a prequel to the events that take place in the regular chapters of The Mimic. It is found in the Game Modes section of the game.

The Witch Trials

Part I

You are in a forest and there’s a village behind you. You must follow the path. A cutscene will play while you are walking through the path, it tells the story of the main character’s great grandfather, Kusonoki Masashige who defeated 4 demons after battling them for 10 days and 10 nights, and sealed them all around the world and returned from the battle seemingly unscathed, it is then revealed that you are a descendant of the warrior. You then follow the path or follow the butterfly spirits, past the fallen tree (Maybe that’s a sign so you don’t go into that area). You then cross the bridge and then there’s a jumpscare from Kazeko, hanging on the roof. Keep following the path until you see fireflies. Approach the firefly until you see the butterfly spirit on the tree stump. Or you can just go into the woods on the right until you see the butterfly spirit on a tree stump. Take the butterfly, continue following the path or butterfly spirit until you see a giant butterfly spirit door. Approach the giant door. Open the door and you will find yourself in a maze like building. Go straight ahead and you will find a dry sakura tree ( The sacred Tree ). The dried tree is surrounded by 4 different lion statues, each with different colors. You will need to take 4 scrolls from The Fleshbags and bring it back to the sakura tree and walk toward one of the lion statues that match the scroll. (For example, if you have a Rebirth scroll, walk toward the statue that also says Rebirth at the bottom left of your screen, if the scroll matches the statue, you will see a light coming from that lion statue). There is a total of 4 Fleshbags in the maze, 2 roam the left side, the other 2 roam the right side. Each have a scroll titled Control, Jealousy, Rage, and Rebirth. Getting these scrolls may be a difficult task as you need to get close to the monsters to interact and take their scrolls and they are very likely to kill you. Some of them are a little bit glitchy too (Rebirth mainly) so be careful. The exit will open once you put in all of the scrolls. A way to get to the exit is to go to the opposite side of the entrance and turn left and keep going straight until you see another path on the right wall. Touch the wall at the end and you will be teleported to the next part.

Part II

You are in a hilly area, follow the path and you will find a house. Go inside the house and go into the room with a Buddha statue, and take the butterfly spirit in the hands of the Buddha statue. Open the door using the spirit and go into another hilly wooded area. There are many wooden toriis in the hilly forest. Once you go through the first torii, the monsters will be able to kill you. There are two monsters in this area. The first one is Kazeko, a tall, slender woman with facial markings. The other is Hanzu, a skeletal monster that walks on four legs. If you hear footsteps, you can hide in one of the bushes which act like safe spaces, but they won’t always protect you. Shutting off your light with Hanzu while he is passing helps protect you.He can also get into the bushes,so if he is chasing someone into the bushes he will start chasing you to if he sees you).Your goal is to open the exit at the start by offering a white katana and a black katana at a giant building (on the left of the entrance). The white katana is inside a house (on the right of the entrance) although it is inside a locked cupboard, the key for opening the lock is under the tatami on the left of the cupboard. You will also find two digging spots, one contains a blue butterfly spirit, the other contains a skeleton holding a key. You will need to dig both out (Although it is very risky, as the digging takes some time.) The black katana is inside a locked cupboard which is inside another house (on the left of the entrance and next to the giant building), which requires a blue butterfly spirit to enter (The monsters can’t get you when you are under the roof of a house unless it’s the Giant Building) After offering both katanas, you must return to the beginning (One way is to let one of the monsters catch you, but this only works if you aren’t playing on Nightmare difficulty unless you have enough robux to revive) and escape.

Ending

You see that Futaomote is being controlled by Sama, it is then revealed that The Control Demon is Sama freed from the place it was sealed in.

Normal Ending

If you complete the normal mode of The Witch Trials, you will get this ending where Futao says that she isn’t a bad mother:

«I’m not a bad mother.»

«She|Sama did this, she|Sama planned it from the start.»

«She|Sama made me this way. «

Nightmare Ending

If you complete the Hardcore/Nightmare Mode of The Witch Trials, you will get this ending where The Evil God recites a poem in a red text:

«Jealousy|Enzukai was sent to the bottom of the sea, part of a forgotten legacy.»

«Rage|Netamo was trapped in His strongest cage, seething with wrath and counting her days.»

🗡1st blade location🗡
-At spawn go to the right of the light boxes and when you see a house connect the butterfly lines and get the blade. Offer the blade to the well by keeping following the lights and then go to the gate
🤲Hand obby🤲
-Go against the wall and you will glitch out, just do your thing and when you reach the dead end you will be teleported (Developer might remove the glitch soon just saying)
🌸Sakura Tree Part🌸
-Climb up the tree and you will see a butterfly spirit, go to the red door and insert the spirit
🔑Key II location🔑
Go downstairs and you will see a table, next to the left there will be an outdoor, the key will be in front of you. Use the key for the locked bedroom
🗡2nd blade location🗡
-After going inside the bathroom go to the left bedroom, behind the changer the blade will be there. Insert it on the display case at the dinner table where you got the Key II
🌹Rose location🌹
-After using Key II for the locked bedroom a cutscene will happen, you see snow outside, you climb through the window and go in the tunnel and the rose will be there. Insert the rose on the display case in the dinner table like 2nd blade location.
🦋Corrupted Soul🦋
-It’s in one of the bedrooms and it is very dark and blends in with the surroundings. It’s on the ground and once you’ve found it do the same thing like the other 2 above me
💀Skulls Location💀
-The color of the statue hands needs a skull that matches them. Go inside the room and don’t run into the lady and make your way to find them. The locked door will open and another teleportation will happen.
🔑Key III location🔑
Go downstairs again and you will see a dead dude, don’t walk into him and get the key and insert it into the locked room
🐍How to avoid the snake like lady🐍
-Don’t run directly in the middle as she will come by, her head kills you and the tail will only damage you a little. Go against the wall/barrier and when you found one of the pillar hurry and make it turn green. When you hear a slimy noise you know that she is near. Back off of the pillar and come back when she disappears. You will only have approximately 15 seconds until she comes back again
🧪4 pillars🧪
-There are four pillars, to make them turn green. Some of them can be activated by making the 2 skulls red and the other 2 green but the pattern changes for other games. Just mess around with them for a while and it should turn green
🏠House part🏠
-You will be blocked off by the barrier but wait for a while then the barrier will be gone. Go to your house and click the front door and you have completed Chapter 3

Hiachi

Prototypes

Hiachi Masashige is a major character in The Mimic, and is a character adored by players. With her iconic pink hat and white dress, Hiachi is very recognizable even to players outside The Mimic.

Hiachi’s first prototype looked slightly closer to Hiachi’s signature look. However, she was much shorter and had pupils. If you look carefully, her hair glitched through the torso. Overall, she looks really weird and odd-looking. So, MUCDICH came up with her outdated model.

Kintoru

First Model

There was a scrapped model of Kintoru before her actual model was finally made. Many fans think it is Hiachi, but it isn’t. In this model, she has a black hood, a dirty mask, black messy hair and a blocky body.

Scrapped Remodel

The picture shown below is an unused version of Kintoru’s upcoming remodel before the Halloween Update. It was shown in the sneak peeks channel of the official Discord server, but was then deleted. It was remodeled to the current one through a voting whether to remake the design or not in which a majority of the members voted to remake Kintoru’s design. She appears to have smaller lips.

Naku was originally going to appear as an antagonistic monster in Chapter Ⅳ of Control’s Book. However, due to how complex her model as well as the number of polygons on her, it made the gameplay extremely laggy. So, she was replaced by Tokito. However, she later appeared as a lifeless, overwhelmingly gigantic statue in Jigoku, as a way to still let her appear in the gameplay.

The Witch Trials

Prototypes

The Witch Trials characters all look chilling. They once had their own prototypes, but got changed to look more terrifying.

Hanzu

Hanzu’s scrapped model was the same as her current model, except for the fact that in her scrapped version, she has a skirt and her hair is covering the entirety of her face.

She also had her own jumpscare, but it was scrapped due to it causing too much lag. Thus, it was replaced by Kazeko instead.

Futaomote

Futao in her scrapped version is the same as her old model; except she had a cracked porcelain mask with lipstick and a slightly wider nose. Interestingly, the cracked porcelain mask was also used for Kintoru and Shaku’s previous model.

Mote looked nearly the same as her old version, except that she had a mask with a wide smiling mouth, red cheeks, and hollow, black eyes. Mote also appeared to have thick eyeliner in the shape of flames. The mask looks similar to the mask that The Marionette from FNAF wears.

As you explore deeper into the town you notice 3 hallways right next to each other, you decide to go into the only unblocked hallway.

Entering the hallway, it reveals a dimly-lit unkempt park that stretches for miles. You explore further until you notice a path, you follow that path and notice an anthropomorphic “tree” mumbling inarticulately, so you decide to interact with it and it talks back.

You seize the opportunity and venture off trying to find an item that could free Amazea from her rooted legs.

Detective’s Room: Alternate Location [ ]

You find a pre-punched card whilst exploring the landscape and decide to go back to the city where you found a locked door, you used the pre-punched card on the door and it opened up. In the room, every door is locked except one and you decide to enter, there, you find a paper about killing Doom (the ferocious yak) and a display case for a katana above it, you place the katana in your pocket and decide to go back to the eerie landscape to explore it even further.

The Ferocious Yak [ ]

As you explore the vast landscape, you find a well missing a handle, you look down the well to see a bucket holding a saw, you assume the saw is used to cut off Amazea’s rooted legs and attempt to find the missing well handle. your so not slaying this

You look around and find an abandoned-looking area with a structure, the structure held a «statue» that looked like the ferocious yak Amazea had mentioned before. You walk over to a table near the structure and grab the handle, not knowing that the «statue» had risen from its sleep and created a loud bang, signaling the ferocious yak’s arrival. You run from the yak as you snatch the well handle and place it on the well, you spin the well handle and the bucket rises with the saw, you grab the saw gently and walk over to Amazea, cutting off her rooted legs.

Amazea thanks you and mentions the code, you stop for a second and think about your two options, either kill the yak to keep harm away from future adventurers, or leave with the boat.

Death to Doom: Option 1 [ ]

You decide to kill the ferocious yak and hope that future traveler would have the chance to explore the area much further and ponder the beauty of the landscape. You head over to the boat and open up the lock, you board the boat and head off to your next destination. dont gaf :3

Inescapable Wrath: Option 2 [ ]

You decide to run away from the yak and instead dock the boat, hoping that future explorers stay away from the wrath of the ferocious yak. You put the code, shivering from fear, you board the boat and head off to your next destination.

Linda’s Lighthouse [ ]

Whilst boating to Amphitrite Island, you spot a lighthouse and assume that’s where Judy wants to meet up; you arrive at the island’s dock and notice a path, you follow the path and end up at the lighthouse. You try to open the door but you notice that it’s locked, you try the other door but it’s covered in vines that keep it shut, so you try the backdoor and it opens, from there you enter the lighthouse and try to find Judy’s spirit.

The Drawing Room [ ]

An odd sensation creeps you out as you explore the interior of the lighthouse. As you walk around and cluelessly open doors, you stumble upon a room, upon entering the room a sudden bang and loud weeping noises are heard, you quickly go back into the hallway and hide until the statuesque creature teleports away. You find a roll of tape placed on the tape, you assume the tape is used for something useful and place it in your pocket. After exiting the room, you walk over to what seems to be a clutter of kitchen furniture, you look closer and find a packet of fireworks and assume that it’s used on the exit door. You head over to the fireplace and light the firework, whilst it’s being ignited, you place tape on the exit door and adhere the explosive onto the exit door, causing it to explode and open.

The Kitchen [ ]

Next, In the kitchen you, get jump scared by The Ghost Descendant. You look around a find and find a puzzle that is locking the door. Behind the door is Shoebill, a bird who kills you. If you don’t feed him a fish, he will kill you.

The Lighthouse Staircase [ ]

After you use a fish, you are able to go into the room and get the key going into Linda’s Lounge but first, you need to climb the stairway. You encounter the Leatherman and meet Judy and talk about how we, the player has to get her body.

Linda’s Lounge [ ]

As you go into her lounge, you meet Linda and she tells you that she is going to sacrifice Judy’s body into the put if envy. So, we look around to try and find an alternative staircase to her body but Linda has already beaten us to it and sacrificed her body already. But Judy tells us that we have some time before it reaches envy. So we decide to go into Linda’s Bedroom to reach envy.

Linda’s Bedroom [ ]

As we go into her bedroom, we find two descendants of envy, Descendant VI who is in the vents, and Descendant IX who roams the bedroom. After solving another puzzle you can go to the boiler room or stay to kill Descendant IX. descendants? that you?

The Boiler Room [ ]

As you enter the boiler room, you find the guardian’s furnace who tells you to go past you need to feed him something innocent. As you walk around you get chased by the Furnace Guardian. As you run away from him a little jackalope which you feed to the furnace. After he decides it was alright and lets you leave.

The Lookout Area and Research Center [ ]

You burst through the doors of the boiler room, finally able to be free from this madness. You hear breathing on the other side only for the Cloaked Hellion to appear in front of your eyes. You take a few more steps but then the wall with spikes start coming at you. You realize the lighthouse is filling with toxic gas so you decide to find a gas mask. You push away some old bed and a chair and grab it only to alert the Leatherman and get chased down. You managed to escape just in time before the toxic gas fills up the lighthouse.

The Island [ ]

As we leave, a mutated walrus that seemingly washed ashore tries to kill us while we escape back to our boat. We avoid it and flee on our boat. End of Part 1.

Part II [ ]

Phase 1: Envy’s Hedge Garden [ ]

Chapter III Part 2 starts with the player arriving at Starz island. They are on a mission to find envy’s passage to rescue Judy. As they go further they meet Emperor Warmblood.

«Welcome to the Hedge Garden of Envy.»

«I am the XXIII Envious Descendant, I go by Emperor Warmblood.»

«Those who trespass against the Hedge Garden never returned home.»

«I am not who you should worry about, though I have killed many in the past.»

«The Protracted Man lurks these words, if you are caught by him it’s over for you.»

«I used to be something similar, I was more terrifying, but now I am harmless.»

«He was duplicated from the chest up upon entering the vortex without protection.»

«He’s left horribly deformed. His bones are hard as steel.»

«But his flesh is comparable to butter, it peels off with the most gentle touch.»

«He screams, but his vocal cords are stuck in his second stomach.»

«They are muffled, animalistic, and gut wrenching. All of the animals have been scared off.»

«I had betrayed Envy, and now I’m like this forever. Stuck in the shell of a hedge horse.»

«I can feel my limbs, but I cannot move them. The pain is unbearable.»

«Attempting to move my legs feels as if they are being pressed against a wall of nails.»

«My vision is gone, but I can sense an outline of your figure. Though, I cannot see you.»

«All I have is a painful blurry mess of a mind. Although, I know you are here for a reason.»

«If you are looking to find Envy’s Passage you must adventure further into StarZ Island.»

«You may leave through the hidden pit ahead, but be cautious, it leads to LoveLand.»

«I’m not sure where the pit is located, but I’ve heard the best emerged from it many times.»

«It’s a new project, a deadly one. Many have died there, and it hasn’t launched yet»

«Linda has started to collect even more young spirits for her anti aging treatment.»

«I wish you luck and I hope you do not end up like me, I’ve never been more unhappy.»

After Emperor Warmblood wishes you luck on your quest, you search the area for a chain and two hooks. The Protracted Man spawns where the passage is as you walk and collect the chain. As you try to dodge him, you realize you’ll need two hooks, so you take one from the Pirates’ hand.

Phase 2: The Pit [ ]

You return to the pit after retrieving it and walk through it. Linda does her best to keep us focused by keeping the pit off bounds. Spike balls try to kill you as they jump and finish the first portion, but you dodge them and make it to the next obby. You beat it by jumping on these platforms that move every 5 seconds and arrive in Love Land.

Phase 3: Love Land [ ]

You enter Love Land by turning a corner and entering the facility. You discover where the power is stored, so you move some shelves and unlock the door; the power switches on, but the third one is missing. So you look around and discover it, but when you turn the switch on, the intensely annoying Toy Monkey scares and chases you, forcing you to run back. Now that you’ve activated him, you must get a tea kettle in a locker and dash across Love Land to the chess room through a garage door with chess pieces around it. The Leatherman keeps an eye on you in the chess room. If you step on a tile that does not correspond to the color of the animal on the board, he will kill you, signaled by an abrupt clicking noise. After that, you place the tea kettle on the stove to start the next part.

Phase 4: The Fun House Mirror Hall [ ]

As you descend into the Mirror Hall, you hear footsteps and realize that Linda is back, literally guns blazing. You eventually locate a way out after looking around every corner. You walk through the only doorway in the room, surrounded by bricks, which leads to the next section.

Phase 5: The Fun House Movie Set [ ]

You must search the Fun House Movie Set for 10 darts to shoot 10 balloons. These darts spawn randomly in various places. To beat the minigame, you must pop all the balloons while avoiding Imitation Judy. This will allow you to go to the next section.

Phase 6: Envy’s Passage Entrance [ ]

After escaping that horrific mimic of Judy you walk up to the Passage and get chased by The Ripper of Envy’s Passage until Linda pops up and says:

«I can’t believe you’ve made it this far. «

«You seem to have gotten past all of my traps so effortlessly, however you stand no chance in Envy’s Realm.»

«Envy is a spirit of all spirits, goddess of all goddesses, you’ll never see Judy alive ever again.»

«There is nothing you can do to stop us now, Judy will be stuck in the beyond realm forever. It’s over.»

«Follow me if you dare, your future is non-existent.»

Phase 7: Envy’s Castle [ ]

You take a chance and follow Linda into the passage. Everything is outgrown, and there is a purple mist enveloping you. You ascend a hill and take a step forward, ready to confront Envy. As you travel forward, Vignei appears from the ground and tries to murder you. You rush up to Vignei’s head and take the weapons impaled on its skull as it slams its palm into the ground.

Option I: Remnant of the Past [ ]

You have an option to kill Vignei and easily leave its castle. After killing Vignei you escape into Envy’s Chamber.

Option II: A Swift Exit [ ]

You could dodge it and leave swiftly in order to retrieve Judy’s corpse as fast as possible. After running away, you enter Envy’s Chamber.

Finale: Envy’s Chamber [ ]

You enter Envy’s Chamber with your weapons drawn and your confidence high, ready to save Judy, Envy appears and jumpscares you as you go higher. Even though you don’t think you can kill it, you dodge its blows and kill Envy with a few hits. After eliminating Envy, you travel across a bridge in search of Judy, until Linda appears with the Chamber. You must shoot the Chambers’ eyes which saves Judy. Judy expresses her gratitude by saying:

«Oh excellent, I can feel again!»

«Thank you! I’ve never felt so. ALIVE. This has been an amazing journey. You’re a star.»

«I never thought I’d be back to my old self. I will return to Hollywood and be me again»

«Once we return to earth you will be given the cash prize for stopping Linda!»

«Now that I’m free from the incomprehensible beyond, I will be the most famous woman on earth.»

Envy takes control of Judy because we only eliminated envy’s body, not the spirit.

«You thought it was this easy? Wake up, this is real life!»

«The biggest mistake you’ve ever made on this adventure was killing me.»

«You beat the spirit out of me, which gave me the opportunity to enter Judy’s body.»

«I can feel Judy’s presence, but I am much more powerful than her, she’s nothing.»

«I am now in complete control, My goddess-like energy will power me and Linda»

«And with this comeback, we will own Hollywood, and become the most famous people in history.»

«Good luck finding a way out of this realm, Linda and I will be back on earth shortly.»

«I can’t believe you thought you could stop me. Judy was wrong. I am not the devil.»

«The devil is envious of me.»

A cutscene plays in Hollywood where «Judy» and Linda return to earth. End of Part 3.

Tricks with Map – The Mimic Chapter 2

This guide will provide you with easy tricks with a map for The Mimic Chapter 2.

Mannequin part

You have to walk straight and look down when you reach the end.

But first, check on the right and listen if she’s there, if she quickly returns to the middle, and sprint straight.

The Cursed Forest is a location and the third part of Control’s Book: Chapter IV. This is where Kusonoki liberates from Kintoru’s curse after Yasu burns his cursed armor pieces and tells the story behind this whole phantasm.

Story

After finding all spirits, Yasu is then teleported to a village similar to «Kyoto Town» that his cousin came across. He finds a house and inside, he a statue of his great grandfather, Kusonoki, riding a galloping horse with the Roman numeral code, II V VII III (2573) pasted onto the base. Yasu later goes upstairs and finds a butterfly spirit stuck on a plant. He goes downstairs and unlocks a bright white door. As soon as he unlocks it, he goes through a long hallway with a red atmosphere.

As the atmosphere becomes more red and eerie, he finds a vault that requires him to use the Roman numeral code. He enters the code into the vault present in the room, goes back, and opens another door using a key from the vault. Yasu enters a misty forest and is tasked to burn all of his ancestor’s corrupted armor using in a white flame near the cursed tree. However, he must also avoid Kusonoki, who is now after Yasu, forcing him to hide in the bushes. He goes back to the tree and burns all of them, freeing Kusonoki at the end.

Kusonoki thanks Yasu for freeing him from The Witch’s curse. He then explains to the latter that the reason behind Kintoru chasing Yasu was because of a deal he made long ago after the Beast of Control captured his daughter, sacrificing his life in the process as well as becoming one of her puppets. He then tells him that Yasu is special and that the curse hasn’t affected him yet. Kusonoki then gives him a blessed blade and instructs him to use it to end Kintoru once and for all. However, Kusonoki also warns Yasu to play wisely as she will find a way to deceive him in the end.

In-game Information

Features

The mist is one of the features visible of the forest. The mist seems to be smoking a foggy gray color laying on the ground.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere of the forest is red. It gives and eerie and intimidating ambience as Yasu finds the samurai armor pieces despite being chased by his own ancestor at the same time.

Guiding Butterfly Spirits

One of the types of butterfly spirits in The Mimic, which is distinguished by its yellow tint and travels in groups of 2-4. They guide the player to the cursed armor that Kusonoki is wearing in his second form. This feature allows the spirits to help Yasu in his quest more easily.

Skull Tree

This is the indication where the white flame is located. It is a dead tree that has skulls on its branches and the white flame in front of the trunk. It is also noted to have white ropes/strings around the tree.

The Cursed Armor Pieces

There are six pieces of cursed armor that Kusonoki once wore and found near the guiding butterfly spirits. They are scattered across the forest and can be burned at the white flame to escape the forest.

Nightmare Mode

Nightmare Mode is a mode in The Mimic where it will only give the player one life upon playing. The monsters also have increased speed. It also has a darker ambience. After you have completed a Nightmare Mode, you will receive a badge and a lantern. However, this does not go with beating Chapter Ⅰ of Control’s Book on Nightmare Mode, which only gives you the badge for completing it.

Changes In Death Screens

If you die, there will be a prompt that allows players to buy another life or go back to the lobby. If you don’t have any Robux or cannot afford it, you will have to go back to the lobby. In some nightmare chapters, you can spectate other players, and if they get teleported to the next part successfully, you will automatically be revived, unless you died at the last part of Nightmare Ⅱ, Nightmare Ⅲ and The Witch Trials. Other players can also pay robux to revive you.

Changes

Control’s Book

Chapter I

In the school gym in Nightmare Ⅰ, Shiniachi appears, which seems to be guarding the door to the Sakura Tree area, making it harder for the player(s) to get across.

Chapter IV

Keiko replaces Daku in the school with different sound cues and chase theme.

The Witch Trials

In the ending of The Witch Trials, the dialogue in Nightmare Mode changes from Futaomote (as Mote) saying she isn’t a bad mother to a poem:

«Control was sent to the East, where she cannot feast.»

«Jealousy was sent to the bottom of the sea, part of a forgotten legacy.»

«Rage was trapped in his strongest cage, seething with wrath and counting his days.»

«Rebirth was sent deep in the Earth, watching the world in reverse.»

Halloween Event 2021

In Jigoku and Hiachi’s Request, it is automatically set to be Nightmare Mode once you enter; you have only one life. However, if you die, you can spectate your teammates, and if they complete it, you will still get the reward. (Only Hiachi’s Request will not comeback as it is only a one time event.)

Christmas Trials 2021

In the Christmas Trials, the map of Krampus’ Cabin has major changes such as the shed being destroyed, the elf being put somewhere else instead of next to Santa’s cage, the absence of tunnels, etc. which makes the event in Nightmare Mode even harder. Additionally, Krampus’ head is replaced with his skull. (Obtainable during Christmas.)

Jealousy’s Book

Chapter I

In Nightmare Ⅰ of Jealousy’s Book, All antagonists (excluding Nagisa / «The Great Nure», and Rokurokubi), have differences between their normal mode variants, and some enemies are smarter such as Tsukiya (or The «Blind» Witch), and The Three-Eyed Monster (or Kishin). However, the antagonists in chase sequences doesn’t have differences in Nightmare Mode:

Maps are a core mechanic in The Mimic. They are useful, as they are mainly used for exploration to find puzzles, mazes, objectives, et cetera. A part of the fanbase have made a few maps, which are very useful for the ones who have a rusty memory, or just don’t know what they’re doing. Some of the maps include AI paths for the monster lurking throughout a location, especially in Mazes. Jealousy’s Book is the second book of The Mimic, and is the second book to the 4 books that will be added. This book is based on the Beast of Jealousy, Enzukai.

Main Characters

Isamu Uchiumi

Isamu Uchiumi is the main protagonist of Jealousy’s Book and the character you also play as. He is the younger brother of Senzai Uchiumi and the pathologist of the same character.

Enzukai

Enzukai is the main antagonist of Jealousy’s Book and the Beast of Jealousy. They are one of the four beasts who fought Kusonoki.

Monsters

Rin is the 1st monster that Isamu encounters in Chapter I (Excluding Umibozu). She is the older sister of Mio and the one who cannibalized her.

Nagisa

Nagisa, referred to Keneo as «The Great Nure» is the 2nd monster that Isamu encounters in Chapter I. She is the guardian of Yoki Town.

Kurobozu

Kurobozu is the 3rd monster that Isamu encounters in Chapter I.

Rokurokubi

Rokurokubi (Not to be confused with Megumi) is the 4th monster Isamu encounters in Chapter I.

Tsukiya

Tsukiya, referred to Keneo as «The Blind Witch» is the 5th monster Isamu encounters in Chapter I.

Hyakume

Hyakume is the 6th monster Isamu encounters in Chapter I.

Tenome

Tenome is the 7th monster Isamu encounters in Chapter I.

The Three-Eyed Monster

The Three-Eyed Monster is the 8th and final monster Isamu encounters in Chapter I.

Tofu-Kozo

Tofu-Kozo is an NPC who tells Isamu about what he needs to do. You aren’t required to talk to him, so you can skip his interaction.

Keneo

Keneo, referred to Tofu-Kozo as «Old Man Keneo» is an NPC. You are required to talk to him so that you can activate the objective to get the Seishin orb from Tsukiya.

Kodama

Kodama is an NPC. You aren’t required to talk to it, so you can skip its interaction.

The Witch Trials, also known by its acronym, TWT, is a gamemode and a prequel to The Mimic that takes place in Japan’s Edo Period set thousands of years before the main events of the books.

Part II

Juno enters in a meager quiet setting with a Minka across her. She passes into an empty house splattered in maroon blood and groups of skulls which she is being taunted by some entity. The house then precedes a forest beyond. While looking for a way out of the forest, she must hide in the bushes to avoid being attacked by Kazeko and Hanzu. Juno’s task is to offer a white and black blade on an altar in order to break through the chained cave. Though, there were things she needs to acquire.

Part III

A cinematic plays, showing Futaomote, Hiachi’s mother. Futaomote was an abusive mother due to her impulsive disorder in which she described herself as «unnatural.» She and her daughter were shunned by their neighbors as a result. Futaomote then made a pact with the «demon» [1] one day to end her burden. The demon told her that if she ate a Butterfly Spirit, her desires would be fulfilled and would become normal. Futaomote, however, fell into Kintoru’s trap after consuming the Spirit, believing that her wish would actually come true. Kintoru split her soul in half, dividing the two figures and personalities, and turned her into her own pawn.

Juno is tasked to solve two skull puzzles in the neighborhood with Futao and Mote mindlessly roaming the area. She must also obtain the two various Butterfly Spirits, which are inside them. Futao bears the normal spirit, while Mote carries the corrupted one. After taking the spirits from them, Juno must burn the spirits to two fire pits in a cave near the exit in order to escape.

Ending

Normal

If the player completes the Normal Mode of The Witch Trials, they will get this ending where Futaomote claims that she is not a bad mother and realizes she is under control:

Nightmare

If in Nightmare Mode, the player will get a different dialogue where Kintoru recites a poem in a red text :

Chapter II

Chapter 2 | Part 1: You are at a place called the Imperial Palace. If you get close to the entrance door, it will automatically open. a monster roams around 2 sides going back and forth. You first have to go upstairs and turn right. There, you’ll find a door. Enter through that, and you should find a room. There’s a key on the table somewhere, grab it then head down to the entrance.

Then, once you’ve reached back to the entrance WITH the key, wait for Megumi (THE MONSTER ) to turn left. Then, head right, and open the door somewhere. Once you’ve opened the door, make sure to turn on the lever, then run up the stairs, this time into the MIDDLE door.

The left door has a room full of skulls. Usually it is pretty useless so I don’t recommend going there unless you’re trying to explore the whole thing.

Nicknames given to Megumi (The monster) by most players: Long Neck Lady | Giraffe Head | Musty Crusty Lady

Part 1.2 | Chapter 2 | Once you’ve went into the MIDDLE door, you will see some sort of hallway. Just follow the hallway, and at the end will be another door (CLICK TO OPEN). Once you’ve opened, you’ll see some floating islands including the one which you are on. Follow the bridges, then once you have, you should find another lever and a door. Click the lever, and it should open up into a massive hallway. In there will be a monster with many arms and it will be big. It’s a bit slower than you, though. Just run through the middle (WATCH OUT FOR THE MONSTER) and then you should go into another hallway. In there, there should be a glowing door. Don’t go to the glowing door, though. Instead, go to the RIGHT door.

Part 1: You are at a place called the Emperial/Imperial Palace/Castle, but the exit was not opened, as soon you enter near the closed door it’s opened, A Monster roams around 2 sides, Left and Right, You are supposed to run to the middle and run back to the Entrance of the Emperial/Imperial Palace/Castle, There are 2 doors of where the monster Roams, One leads to a lever, Another one leads to a place where there are skulls, When you have Opened the lever to the door where you get the key, You end up in a Hallway, Next you open a Wooden door, You appear at a floating rocks place with planks you have to becareful on, You appear at some place with a lever, You have to open the lever to open the door, You are at some hallway and you see a Monster with arms, After you escape the Hallway maze, You end up in a place with a glowing door, There are 2 rooms, One leads to a place with a sakura tree, The other one leads to a garden ritual place with a spirit, You have to pick up the spirit in the 2ND Room, You open the spirit door with the spirit, You are in another hallway with 3 doors. Меня настолько завораживают игры с Брайном, что кроме него становится не интересно наблюдать за хоррорами у других, такая магия и у Куплинова, настолько они уютные, что не хочется от них уходить, спасибо Брайну за это.

Очень рада когда Макс выпускает видео, обычно после выхода видео пересматриваю его много раз) А еще хотела сказать что смотря на то как он проходит хорроры становится уютно. The Hotel is the stage and a location in Chapter I. This is where two friends, Biwaki and Kuriko are featured.

Storyline

Yasu wonders why a hotel is beyond the cave. Going ahead, he sees a person and talks to her.

«This is all her doing man..»

«Who is she you might ask? Well I don’t know either, all I do know is that she is some sort of evil entity.»

«It was related to a Japanese myth I have heard about. I don’t recall much but I do know she can bring you whenever she pleases.»

«Eventually those targeted by her fall into madness.»

«I’m sure by now you would have heard her mimic people. However we don’t really know much about this woman. «

«I have been here far too long. You can’t escape I have already tried many times.»

Despite what she has said, Yasu still looks for an exit. Going ahead into the elevator leads him to the hotel. He sees a little girl playing the Biwa, and tries to kill him but fails to do so. Later on, he uses an elevator to go to another floor with vines. A crawling girl chases him and tries to kill him but was unsuccessful doing so, letting Yasu slip away. He finds an elevator and escapes the hotel, ending up in front of an ancient-like building. A voice in his head informs him that he is at the Imperial Palace.

That reminds me of a story I heard once. There was this hunter who had stopped at a cabin in some woods for the night since he was of course tired. He said that there were paintings inside of the house and every time the hunter made movement, the paintings would follow his movements. He went to sleep, and when he woke up the next morning, there were no paintings… only windows in their places.

This monster, who can also be called «Black Witch» or «Sama», can be considered the «Leader» of the «Monsters», since she looks like the one thats making this monsters, or at least the one making them do what she wants for an unknown reason for now. She has some big red lips, a very long hair, a black hat, and also some black eyes. You can find her in many places, starting with the end of the Chapter 2, where you can find her in the Maze trying to kill you. You can find her in the Chapter 3, at the end of the hallway with the pictures of a lady.

You were able to find her in the Chapter 2, in the «Room with Chains», at the lower left corner.

If you look closely, you can find her behind the Tree at the Start Menu of «The Mimic».

Books

A book is a series of chapters that takes place in The Mimic’s storyline. Generally, each book features different protagonists played by the player and features one of The Four Beasts as the main antagonist and different storyline.

Control’s Book

The first book of The Mimic focuses on Kintoru, the Beast of Control. The main character of Control’s Book is Yasu Masashige.

Chapter I

Part I: La Quinta High School

Yasu Masashige went back to his old high school to search for his lost friends, only to encounter an entity lurking in the school. He finds a key that leads down to the basement and goes into it. Once Yasu goes into it, he finds Hiachi crying. once he goes near Hiachi, She disappears and the door has a red glowing. Once he opens the door that is glowing red, he finds a city in the basement where ahead Hiachi chases him. After he finds the key, Yasu finds an exit and escapes the maze. He then teleports to The Arari Village.

Part II: Arari Village and The Hotel

He goes further and notices a young girl playing the biwa, who disappears. He sees a farmer and talks to them. The farmer tells him that they have not seen him before, that his brother has not returned, and that she’s probably watching them as they speak. They tell him that if he has seen a lady playing the biwa, it’s already too late, and finally inform him that they have something upstairs he might need later on. He takes the key upstairs in the attic of the farmer’s house.

Yasu then goes further from the village and stumbles upon caves with multiple statues. Some of them can move and will try to kill him. He eludes them by running and finding a gate, pulling a lever to open it, and walking over to the Minka ahead. Yasu finds an underground he can check, finds a door and unlocks it.

Yasu wonders why a hotel is beyond the cave. Going ahead, he sees a woman and talks to her. The woman says this is all her doing, and no one knows about her but only that she is an evil entity. It was related to a Japanese myth, but she doesn’t remember much about it, and that he has probably heard her mimic people. She has already been here for too long, and he can’t escape.

Yasu goes into the elevator which led him to a maze with vines. He sees a lady playing a biwa. She tries to kill him but fails to do so. After escaping her, he reaches another floor. Two crawling ladies, one on the ceiling and one on the ground, try to kill him. However, he finds an elevator and escapes the hotel.

Part III: Entrance to The Imperial Palace

After he escapes, he is taken to somewhere. «Where am I?» he wonders. «THE IMPERIAL PALACE,» a voice inside his head says. He continues walking to find a huge building.

Chapter II

Part I: The Imperial Palace

Yasu asks who the person is and walks further into a library. He sees a lady with a long grey neck who will try to kill him. He goes up the stairs, finds a key, and unlocks a door. In the room, there is a lever that he pulls. He goes upstairs again, and the door is open. He goes down the hallway where someone says they ran away just like him. He asks the voice what they did to them. The voice says, «Devoured, I am them.» He opens a door leading outside. There are planks he needs to walk across. When he gets up, he sees a lever and pulls it.

He sees a samurai who will also try to kill him. He opens the door and escapes the samurai. He finds a butterfly spirit door and looks for one to unlock it. He finds the door again and uses the spirit. He goes down the hallway, and sees a blue butterfly, and takes it. He finds a door where he can use the spirit to escape.

Part II: The Realm of The Forgotten and the Hospital

He teleports to a place known as «The Realm of the Forgotten.» After some time, when he is about to cross the bridge, the samurai passes by. He does not attack or inflict any harm. After crossing the bridge, he sees a Sakura tree with chains. After reaching this area, he goes to his right and finds a spirit butterfly perched on top of a stone. He takes it with him. He sees a door that needs a spirit and uses it.

There is a hospital and goes down the hallway. The voice again speaks to him and says, «Everything has been a mimic of your reality since the beginning.»

He goes ahead and finds the place where he needs the key. While he tries to get the key, a doll chases him. A door, which is next to the other door, needs a butterfly spirit. Yasu goes in thinking he could find what he needed. The doll again chases him. He gets out once again and escapes the hospital.

Part III: Kintoru’s Maze

Yasu is now in some maze after escaping the hospital. His flashlight dies, so he sticks with a lantern. When he goes ahead, a voice says, «So we finally meet. » as a figure runs in front of him. Yasu gets confused and asks who was the lady in the white dress, but the voice does not answer. He goes ahead, finds some spirits, uses them as his guidance, finds a map. With the help of the map, he soon finds a butterfly spirit which he could use in one of the gardens of the maze. After hiding in the safe houses from the figure chasing him, he finds an exit and escapes.

He again sees the samurai, but this time, they are coming out from the water, and are saying, «You will never escape the curse of the witch.»

Chapter III

Part I: The Sakura Swamp

Yasu walks ahead through an ocean and finds a place where he can go in. He goes inside and explores it. He soon finds a code which is «3015«. He later finds a door that needs a code and enters it. The door opens, and he finds a crowbar. He turns around after using it, and he sees an unnaturally tall man, who soon disappears. After more exploring, water starts flowing in. In the closet seems to be a woman who also disappears. He goes into the room next to him, where is a board with a math code upside down. The unnaturally tall man who Yasu saw earlier seems to be there, and the door closes. After some time, the man is gone, and the door opens. He solves the code that is «8749«, finds a door, and enters it. The door opens. It leads outside, where the tall man Yasu saw chases him. He soon finds a house, which has a butterfly puzzle.

After completing it, a chamber opens that has a wooden sword and takes it. Yasu soon finds a place to offer the blade and also a cave where he can go. He goes ahead to a tunnel full of chains and falls. There is another tunnel under, but this one has hands sticking in and out and will kill anyone. After Yasu escapes these hands, next seems to be a place with a Sakura tree with chains. A centipede on the tree says to him, «Have you ever wondered what happened to all those butterflies you sacrificed for your selfish needs?» and falls into the water.

In the middle of the place seems to be a stand. Yasu climbs the Sakura tree and finds a butterfly. He places it. Someone starts to laugh while he goes ahead. The voice says to him that he has sacrificed another one of his friends. Yasu refuses to believe it.

Part II: Biwaki’s Minka and the Skull Labyrinth

He then teleports to a Minka, where he finds a key in a drawer. He opens the door and goes downstairs. He needs to offer a rose, blade, and a corrupted soul. After he finds them all, he places them. He opens up another tunnel and goes down. Yasu teleports to the Skull Labyrinth.

The place had four hands. The hands were red, black, grey, and white. Yasu goes into a maze with vines where the woman he saw earlier chases him. Hiding from her with the help of vines, he finds four skulls and places them on the hands. Someone, again, starts laughing as he escapes the place.

Part III: Omukade’s Lair

He again comes in the Minka, but this time, when he goes down, he sees the tall man who chased him in the swamp, dead. On his legs is a key. Yasu picked it up and found that the entrance to the tunnel was gone.

He finds a door and uses the key. Yasu goes down the hallway to an enormous cave and soon finds some red pillars. He turns them all green. Turning all the pillars green indicates that he has solved the puzzle. He hears a weird noise and explores around while trying to avoid the centipede. He soon finds an exit and escapes to a hallway.

As Yasu walked, he heard: «These are my puppets, your fellow ancestors who blinded you to this curse.» The voice once again said. The hallway was the masks of the monsters he was chased by, «What do they have to do with me! Why am I suffering?» Yasu says. The hallway leads to his house. Suddenly, it starts to rain. «It’s my house. but how? Am I finally home? I wonder if there is anyone home.» He thinks and goes in.

Chapter IV

Part I: Yasu’s House

Yasu is back at his house and decides to go upstairs, «I need to find my parents quick. Mom. Dad. Are you guys home? The note said they went back to my school? The parent-teacher conference was years ago when I was still in high school. » As he walks ahead, he sees a woman floating in his bedroom. As he goes to it, the door closes and opens. The woman is gone. He thought it was his mom at first and decided to check his parents’ bedroom. As he goes there, he opens the drawers and finds a key to use. He heads downstairs and uses it. Ahead, he goes straight outside and finds another key. He takes it and goes back in. He uses the key downstairs.

When he went to the basement, he found planks blocking off a door. He finds a crowbar and breaks down the planks. He goes through the tunnel where a lady was lying down. He thought it was a Halloween prop and saw a key on the crates next to the lady. He takes it. He goes back and unlocks a door in the basement. He goes down some stairs with chains. As he goes ahead, there’s a bunch of mannequins ahead with trees. As he tried to pass them, some of them tried to chase him but failed to kill him. He goes to the other side, opens a door and goes there.

Part II: La Quinta High School

He gets ‘teleported’ somewhere, where there is another door. He opens it and is at his school. «I’m getting déjà vu. I never found my missing group of friends. » He thought. As he goes ahead, a bunch of dead crows falls from the sky. He goes ahead to his school and finds butterflies and keys around the school. After hiding in the classrooms and lockers, trying to avoid another monster, he escapes the school.

Part III: Kusonoki’s Cursed Forest

He gets teleported to a village. As he goes ahead, he goes through other houses and climb ladders leading to a house. He went inside. At the center is a statue with the number «2573» is roman numerals. He goes upstairs, finds a spirit, and also finds a door on where to use it. As he goes through the door he unlocked, music starts playing. He found it strange that the music was his mother’s favorite song. As he goes through, he sees a case locked. He puts in the code which he saw earlier, it opens. Inside is a key, and he takes it. He goes back and finds a door on where to use it.

He ‘teleports’ outside. He thinks it’s too much of a coincidence, and those monsters might be his parents. He went ahead and decided to explore the place, looking for items. After some time, Yasu finds six cursed items, that look like samurai equipment, avoids a tall samurai by hiding in the bushes, and finds a place where he might need to burn them. After he does so, someone starts speaking.

«You did it. You freed me from the witch’s curse. My name is Kusonoki Masashige. I am also your great grandfather. The reason why the witch was targeting you this whole time was because of a deal I made long ago. I sacrificed myself in order to set my daughter free but in the end I was tricked regardless. The witch turned both of us into her servants and cursed our entire bloodline. But you. you are special. The curse has not affected you yet and you still have time. Use my blessed blade and destroy the witch once and for all. Heed my warnings don’t be tempted to think hard. She will find a way to deceive you in the end.»

Part IV: Kintoru’s Final Lair

After getting the blade from him, Yasu is somewhere which seems like Kintoru’s seal. He goes ahead and sees some of the monsters he was chased by hanging from a web. «These must be my ancestors that Kusonoki was talking about. I didn’t understand back then but now I know what I must do.» he says, as a red door comes up from the ground. «I’ll definitely save you mom and dad.» He goes through the red door, teleporting where Kintoru is. Yasu must destroy all seven hearts of hers. After hiding in the cabinets and destroying all seven hearts of hers, he finally gets to decide if he should save his parents or kill Sama.

If Yasu chooses to save his parents, he will get tricked. «Wonderful, another one added to my collection. Humans are so easy to deceive.», Kintoru says. This gives the bad ending.

If Yasu chooses to kill Kintoru, she will die and get dragged by some hands into the water. «WHAT A USELESS TOOL,» someone says. «You wake up in panic, running down the stairs to see your parents alive and well, they don’t seem to remember anything about the occurrence, everything seems normal for now, at least.» This gives the good ending.

Jealousy’s Book

The second book of The Mimic focuses on Enzukai, the Beast of Jealousy. The main character in Jealousy’s Book is Isamu Uchiumi. Its main storyline is currently undiscovered as the book was recently released.

Chapter I

Part I: The City

Isamu was in the city when he approached his office, he goes inside and opens up a locked room, the room contained Isamu’s brother, Senzai, laying on a stretcher. As Isamu looks at his brother, he deeply mourns him and promises that he’d find out what really happened to Senzai in Aogashima.

Later on in the dead of night, Isamu boards his boat and comments on how the moon looks strange. Just as he was about to proceed in the middle of an ocean, an Umibozu appears and knocks Isamu off his boat and gets dragged to a Minka by The Worshipper.

Part II: The Sister’s Minka

Isamu is all of a sudden inside an unknown Minka. Isamu decided to explore the minka, trying to find the owner and to ask about where he was. He found a room with a book. He decides to read the book learns about the orphan sisters that owned the Minka. Mio, Rin’s younger sister, seems to be very joyous, and Rin, the older sister, becomes skeptical about her sudden happiness. Rin suddenly thought that her sister, Mio, was eating well without her. Driven by jealousy, she killed and cannibalized her own sister, and that’s when she found the money in her pouch that Mio was saving up for the both of them. The discovery makes Rin gain extreme guilt over her actions. This guilt stuck with her throughout the years and the guilt got so severe that Mio’s Mouth popped out of the back of Rin’s head and if Rin didn’t eat, she would experience severe headaches. As Isamu discovers this information, he is tasked to get four rats, poison them in the old well, and prepare the rats to the bell, all the while he hides from Rin who appears right after Isamu reads that book.

After Isamu feeds Mio’s mouth 3 poisoned rats, Rin finally realizes that Isamu is trying to trick Mio’s mouth using rodents. Out of anger, Mio’s mouth chases Isamu down the long hallway with various haybales and strands of Rin’s hair strategically placed to slow down the speed of Isamu. He manages to escape and appears in a hallway with floating heads.

Part III: The Nure’s Zone

After Isamu escapes the Minka, he is led to a mysterious area, with glowing fungi, okibus, and a fallen gashadokuro, after Isamu traverses up the stairs, Isamu is forced to hide in the grass of under and behind boulders from Nagisa, also known as “The Great Nure” Isamu hides until Nagisa goes back into the waters and runs across to the other patch of grass. But Nagisa hears Isamu and goes back up to check, once she goes back down, Isamu runs across the bone bridge and is teleported to another cavern.

While Isamu is walking through the cavern, Nagisa feels his footsteps and rises back up to chase Isamu through the cavern, but Isamu outruns Nagisa and is teleported to a unknown village.

Part IV: Yoki Town

Isamu is now in Yoki Town, the village Nagisa was guarding, he goes through a Minka and gets jumpscared by The Worshipper, Isamu keeps walking through when he encounters a farmer, Tofu-Kozo, he tells Isamu that if he wants a boat, he can speak to old man Keneo, so Isamu sets out to find him.

Isamu is now in another part of the town, he sees Keneo sitting by a river, he talks to him and tells him if Isamu wants a boat, he would have to steal a Seishin orb form The Blind Witch (Tsukiya) and warns him that the Kiiroibara Cult is ruthless and always watching.

Isamu now has to remember paintings in gold frames in each Minka guided to you by weeping angels, and needs to obtain a key from one of the Minkas, all while Kurobozu is hunting him down, also to find one of the paintings, he has to paint a kanji character, watched over by Rokurokubi, and if you run out of time or mess up the kanji, she will kill you, after Isamu has memorised all the paintings he unlocks the puzzling Minka, and lights the candles respective to the paintings in the Minkas, all while avoiding Tsukiya, and after he lights all the correct candles, the Seishin orb appears on the hand of an Enzukai statue, Isamu retrieves it gives it to Keneo and is teleported to the ship he promised.

Part V: The Broken Ship

At the entrance of The Broken Ship, Isamu talks to a Betobeto-San, it laughs at him for falling for Keneo’s trick. Isamu also gets jumpscared by an Umibozu, once Isamu has entered the ship, he is warned that the air is thin, and that he should utilise his crouching, and he must light up many amounts of candles each phase, with the number of candles increasing on each phase, first on the main floor, he encounters a groping monster called Hyakume, but Isamu avoids him easily, he then goes upstairs.

Upstairs there is the control room and a ruined dining room and kitchen, the Three-Eyed Monster roams the level and tried to stop Isamu from lighting the candles, but Isamu lights up all the candles refilling his oxygen with the many oxygen tanks scattered around the ship, Isamu then heads downstairs.

Downstairs in the boiler room roams Tenome, a very smart monster who prevents Isamu from lighting up the candles, but Isamu does, but Tenome tells him that he is foolish thinking he can escape and telling him he will drag him to “that place” Then Isamu is chased by Tenome in the vents, once Isamu thinks he is safe, Tenome appears in front of him and knocks him out.

Part VI: Enzukai’s Seal

Isamu is now in an underwater cave, inhabited by jellyfish and Umibozu’s, as he walks to the end, Isamu sees Enzukai, still trapped in her seal.

Kintoru

Kintoru, commonly referred to as Sama, is the Beast of Control. She has many abilities such as controlling her cursed victims, shapeshifting, telepathy, creation, manipulation, and can travel at an immense speed. Currently, her only known forms are The Witch, Omukade, Saigomo, and Humanoid.

Physical Appearance

Kintoru appears to be an unnaturally tall yet humanoid woman who has a few monstrous features. She has extremely long and dark hair, a huge socialite hat, a white porcelain mask with small white glowing pupils, a large grin smeared with red lipstick, a black gown, long black feathers hanging from her shoulders, and black high heels.

Appearances

Kintoru first appears in the final maze of Chapter II. Kintoru is known to have different appearances making her a shapeshifter. She can also be seen in Chapter II in The Witch form, as Omukade in Chapter III, Saigomo in Chapter IV, and in Biwaki’s backstory as a humanoid. She is also the Beast of Control in The Witch Trials cutscene and in the black skull Easter egg.

Status

Kintoru is currently deceased as she was slain by Yasu Masashige with the blessed blade of Kusonoki Masashige while in her Saigomo form.

Enzukai

Enzukai is the Beast of Jealousy. Its abilities are currently unknown. It was said and confirmed by a lore writer Enzukai will be able to shape shift into 3 different kinds of forms.

Physical Appearance

Enzukai‘s current model is accordance to the current lobby statue. It has crimson red skin, yellow eyes, long golden horns, yellow-ish sharp teeth, and a third yellow eye on it’s forehead. It is wearing a tattered and partially ripped long skirt. It wears a black beady necklace around it’s neck and seems to not wear any top. It has a build of broad shoulders with a small stomach. It is also more angular and bony than before.

Appearance

Enzukai was first seen during The Witch Trials as the Beast of Jealousy and the red Jealousy Skull cutscene. It can also be seen in the sneak peek for Jealousy’s Book alongside an unknown figure. It also appeared in the ending of the Halloween Trials 2021 as a teaser for Jealousy’s Book. It is also seen in the teaser for Jealousy’s Book, in which it is shown struggling to break out of its seal. It appears in its new redesign at the ending of Jealousy’s Book/Chapter I inside a cave.

Status

Alive and discovered, still sealed.

Yuma is the Beast of Rebirth. Her powers are currently unknown, though she is shown to be levitating. As said by a lore writer, she has the power to manipulate time.

Physical Appearance

Yuma appears as a beautiful woman with fair skin, red lips, and long dark hair. She wears a white kimono and carries a grey parasol. She also has blood on her neck—however, it is not visible in most images. She has a somewhat similar appearance to Keiko Masashige, considering that both wear long dresses and are barefooted. Strangely, Yuma’s feet are gray, although her skin is fair.

Yuma was revealed in The Witch Trials as the Beast of Rebirth and the white Rebirth Skull Cutscene.

Status

Netamo

Netamo is the Beast of Rage. His powers are currently unknown, but can climb because he not only crawls on all fours but is also shown crawling and climbing around the bars of his cage in his easter egg cutscene that appears in The Witch Trials.

Physical Appearance

Netamo’s current design appears to be a terrifying and animalistic yet humanoid male. He has a horrific mouth filled with deformed teeth, in which those teeth also opening his skin up. His forehead is larger and has thin, long grooves, and appears to have no eyes. This could mean «blind rage», as he is the Beast of Rage. Netamo’s skin is more of a human tone rather than just pure white, and his dreads are detailed but a bit shorter.

Netamo was first revealed in The Witch Trials within the grey Rage Skull Cutscene.

Status

History

As said by a lore writer, a bored eldritch God created Kintoru, Enzukai, Netamo, and Yuma, due to wanting tools. They became the 4 beasts. They rampaged across the Earth as the Beasts of Control, Jealousy, Rage, and Rebirth. For ten days they raged against their gilded cage, and for ten nights He fought against our people’s plight. The earth shook and the oceans burned, as he fought for weeks his back unturned. He overcame these creatures and escaped unhurt, and sealed these monsters all around our earth. Control was sent to the east, where she was trapped in a cage, unable to feast. Jealousy was sent to the bottom of the sea, part of a forgotten legacy. Rage was trapped in his strongest cage, seething with wrath and counting his days. And Rebirth was forced deep into the Earth, endlessly watching the world in reverse.

A lonely girl, hidden from the world. With her only friend, a doll made of straw and lead. «Shaku», she said, grabbing her little head full of lead. Off into the forest she went, through confusing turns and bends, she found herself bathed in pink and red.

Yasu’s Journey (Control’s Book):

Chapter Ⅰ

Yasu Masashige went back to his old high school to search for his lost friends, only to encounter an entity lurking in the school. He finds a key that leads down to the basement and goes into it. He finds a city in the basement where ahead Hiachi chases him. After he finds the key, Yasu finds an exit and escapes the maze. He then teleports to The Arari Village.

He goes further and notices a young girl playing the biwa, who disappears. He sees a farmer and talks to them. The farmer tells him that they have not seen him before, that his brother has not returned, and that she’s probably watching them as they speak. They tell him that if he has seen a lady playing the biwa, it’s already too late, and finally inform that they have something upstairs he might need later on.

Yasu goes further into a village and stumbles upon caves with multiple statues. Some of them can move and will try to kill him. He eludes them by running and finding a gate, pulling a lever to open it, and walking over to the Minka ahead. Yasu finds an underground he can check and finds a door.

Chapter Ⅱ

Yasu asks who the person is and walks further into a library. He sees a lady with a long grey neck who will try to kill him. He goes up the stairs, finds a key, and unlocks a door. In the room, there was a lever that he pulled. He goes up again, and the door is open. He goes down the hallway where someone says they ran away just like him. He asks the voice what they did to them. The voice says, «Devoured, I am them.» He opens a door leading outside. There are planks he needs to walk across. When he gets up, he sees a lever and pulls it.

He teleports to a place known as «The Realm of the forgotten». After some time, when he is about to cross the bridge, the samurai passes by. He does not attack or inflict any harm. If Yasu chooses to save his parents, he will get tricked. As seen, Yasu will be hanging in Kintoru’s web along with his parents. «Wonderful, another one added to my collection. Humans are so easy to deceive.» Kintoru says. This gives the bad ending.

If Yasu chooses to kill Kintoru, she will die and get dragged by some hands into the water. «WHAT A USELESS TOOL,» someone says. «You wake up in panic, running down the stairs to see your parents alive and well, they don’t seem to remember anything about the occurrence, everything seems normal for now, at least.» This gives the good ending.

Isamu Uchiumi’s Journey (Jealousy’s Book)

Chapter Ⅰ

Later on, at midnight, Isamu boards his boat and mentions the strange appearance of the moon. Just as he was about to proceed driving the boat, an Umi bōzu appears and knocks Isamu unconscious whilst getting the boat to an unknown shore. He sees a figure dragging him to a minka before he finally becomes unconscious. When he wakes up from his nap, he is all of a sudden in an unfamiliar Minka and decides to grab the candle near him before exploring.

The Sisters’ Minka

Isamu decided to explore the Minka, trying to find the owner and to ask about where he was. He found a room with a book. He decides to read the book learns about the orphan sisters that owned the Minka. Mio, Rin’s younger sister, seems to be very joyous, and Rin, the older sister, becomes skeptical about her sudden happiness.

Rin suddenly thought that her sister was eating well without her. Driven by jealousy, she killed and cannibalized her own sister, and that’s when she found the money in her pouch, she realized that Mio was saving up for the both of them. The realization gained Rin extreme guilt over her actions. This guilt stuck with her throughout the years and the guilt got so severe that Mio’s Mouth popped out of the back of Rin’s head and if Rin didn’t eat, she would experience severe headaches. As Isamu discovers this information, he is tasked to get three rats, poison them in the old well, and prepare the rats to the bell, all the while he hides from Rin who appears right after Isamu reads that book.

After Isamu feeds Mio’s mouth 3 poisoned rats, Rin finally realizes that Isamu is trying to trick Mio’s mouth by feeding her poisoned rodents. Out of anger, Mio’s mouth chases Isamu down the long hallway with various haybales and strands of Rin’s hair strategically placed to slow down the speed of Isamu. He manages to escape and appears in a hallway with floating heads.

Nure’s Zone

As Isamu exits the hallway of heads, he is met with what seems like an endless abyss and decides to explore the wide landscape. Whilst exploring, he finds a long staircase that led to the island Nure-Onna inhabited. The island was a place that helped Nure-Onna freezes unwasted intruders as they try to complete her obstacle. Isamu finds a way to stop Nure-Onna from spotting him by disguising himself inside the grass, this eventually led to his ‘escape.’

Isamu thought he’d escaped the grip of Nure-Onna but he was wrong. As he was walking down the hallway, she spots him and tries to catch him. This forces him to run as fast as he can to get out of her sight.

Yoki Town

After Isamu escapes the wrath of Nagisa, he lands up in an unknown village. The village was lonely and barren, as Isamu was roaming around, he found a door he could open, as he entered, he found another door, as he approached the door, a white and black figure popped out and scared him. As he was walking down the long path, Isamu notices a tofu boy and asks him about how to escape and the boy replied back with «Old Man Keneo will give you a boat, just find him near a river». Isamu gets an odd feeling about the area but keeps exploring. He finds the Old Man near a river. After Isamu talks to the old man, Suddenly, a Kuro Bōzu is summoned and comes to terminate Isamu. He tries to open the door in the front side but it won’t open and he is tasked to find a key.

He explores through five minkas as to find the key but he eventually finds one in one of the minkas. Isamu uses the key to the door and he is greeted with someone else inside the minka. He is tasked to solve the unknown puzzle, as he was trying to figure out what to do, he suddenly realizes that he could light up the candles around the house. Later on, he discovers that two candles cannot be lit and five candles can, this leads to a discovery that Isamu only needed to light the candles that can be lit. After the discovery, he explores through the five minkas again to find five paintings, three are directly guided by the angel-looking creatures, and one must be revealed by painting 崇 nicely and on-time. He memorizes the portraits and lit up the candles next to the designated portraits, and the orb that Keneo was asking for is summoned on the hand of the statue inside the minka. Isamu grabs it and goes back to Old Man Keneo, and in return, Keneo leads him to a boat, but it isn’t what Isamu expected.

A Yokai informs him that The Old Man has to spare in his money and Isamu finds a ship, which is big but not functionable. All of the sudden, a Umi bōzu rises from the water before him and after that, he goes inside the ship.

The Broken Ship

Isamu enters inside the ship and discovers that he isn’t alone here. There are three hostile creatures roaming the entirety of the area, each found in the floors of the ship. As Isamu tries to find candles, he sees the Hyakume, despite being slow, has a larger area for grabbing, so he goes to the other side to light up the only candle in the main floor. After he lights up the candle on the main floor, he proceeds to one of the elevator where he ascends to the upper floor. Isamu uses the oxygen tanks then, As he does that, he finds the monster with 3 eyes, Isamu manages to hide under the tables, trying not to get caught. Isamu lights most of the candles on the upper floor since he only needs to light some candles, after he does that, he goes back in the elevator and descends back to the main floor. After Isamu leaves the top floor, he goes to the other elevator and descends to the lower floor, it consists of boiler rooms and watertight hatches. As he lights up the candles on the basement he gets tasked with Phase Ⅱ of the candles, to which the process repeats itself for Phase Ⅲ, to which you need to light up (almost) all candles in every single floors. Once Phase Ⅲ is done, Isamu can peacefully escape through one of the ship air vents, but Tenome sneakily follows behind.

As Isamu crawls inside the vent, he hears a slight noise that causes him to run, He looks behind him and there was Tenome crawling trying to catch Isamu. He tries to crawl as fast as he can and falls down to the following vent. As Isamu goes to the vent in-front of him, Tenome pops out of nowhere on that vent.

The End

As Isamu struggles to breathe, his willingness to survive manages to save him. He walks up onto shore, two giants looking down upon him, and into the cave where he is greeted by The Beast of Jealousy, the main antagonist.

La Quinta High School, otherwise known as The School, is a location and stage in The Mimic as well as the starting point of Control’s Book. This location reappears on Chapter IV.

Overview

La Quinta High School was Yasu’s old high school. Long after he went off to college, the school became a place of terror.

The school was haunted by a girl in a pink hat, resulting in the school being abandoned. Even as the school was abandoned, poor little Hiachi still wondered the halls, tormented by her former friend.

History

Death’s Challenge

Aka Manto will spawn inside the bathrooms of the locker room. He will tell you to pick either Red or Blue. Pick the third option, which is Green and you will be teleported to the event.

Chapter 1

La Quinta is the name of the school that Yasu went to find his missing friends. The outside school is seen right at the beginning of the first chapter, and most of the doors are locked. He arrives in the gym and makes his way to the pool. The trail passes out of the gym and around the swimming pool. In the swimming pool, there is a small room with a ritual arranged with a key. Yasu uses this key back in the gym. He makes his way outside, where he spots a Sakura tree. Yasu wonders what a Sakura tree would be doing there.

They soon find a key in one of the classrooms, only to be greeted by Hiachi. She then disappears, and Yasu unlocks the door to the school basement. While he walks to the door at the end of the basement hall, he sees Hiachi crying, but going up to her will cause her to disappear along with a horrific sound.

Yasu goes into the city and across a bridge. When on the bridge, Yasu experiences a jumpscare. On the other side of the bridge, he enters a maze where Hiachi would be roaming. Once he find the key in the maze, he can escape.

Chapter 4

The Mimic Wiki

Gameplay

Gameplay includes the elements of the game that the players, who are playing through the eyes of the main characters, will experience. Monster A.Is are included and heavily affect the gameplay.

The Mimic consists of many different A.Is, with multiple functions that allow monsters to properly operate and hunt down players.

Sound Cues

Sound cues help you identify where the monster is, or if the monster is near. A majority of them play a disturbing or a heartbeat noise in which will play if they are in a certain distance. Here are the type of sound cues that will help you distinguish for each monsters:

Control’s Book Monsters

Hiachi

Hiachi emits a soothing, yet bloodcurdling humming noise. The humming’s sound range is very distant, so you may hear it even if she isn’t nearby. Another thing is her footsteps noise, in which, a very loud footstep noise plays when you are very close to her. If you hear this, it is advisable for you to run somewhere else where she cannot detect you. Lastly, her heartbeat noise. This noise is the most helpful sound cue from her as the speed of the sound gets faster and faster the closer you get to her, and gets more muffled the farther away she is from you. Although, the disadvantage from this is that it will play in both left and right speaker no matter what direction she is from you, making it inefficient to figure out which side she’s coming from.

Shizu

Shizu only emits one sound, which is a deep breathing. Its sound range is also very low, so you’ll only be able to hear it when you are too close to her. Her sound cue will be able to help you identify if that «Shizu» is hostile or not.

Biwaki

Biwaki emits a biwa tune known as «Fantasy of waves.» When you hear it, it means she’s nearby so you have to be careful. Hearing a heartbeat noise means you are very close to her and she may unexpectedly appear around the corners.

Kuriko

Kuriko emits 3 sounds, which are heartbeats, footsteps, and a disturbing breathing noise. 3 of them have almost the same sound range. However, you’ll hear breathing noise first, then footsteps, and lastly heartbeat. If either 3 of the sound plays, hide in a vine as she is probably near you or around the corner. Another thing to note, her heartbeat noise does not speed up the more she gets closer to you and does not slow down the more you get far away from her, the heartbeat noise also helps you identify which direction she is from currently as her heartbeat noise can play in respective left or right speaker to wherever direction she is from you.

Megumi

Megumi emits a disturbing noise. One is her groaning, two is her unexplainable neck elongating sound, and third is her footsteps noise. Their sound ranges are almost the same, however, her neck growing sound has the farthest sound range and her footsteps noise has the least one, If you hear any of them, it means she’s near. But you can identify where she is without the sound cues as her inhabitant place is an open space.

Kusonoki

Chapter II

Kusonoki emits a super loud footsteps noise with a dog barking-like sound. Hearing any of these means he’s near you although you’ll be able to identify where he currently is as his inhabiting place is an open space like Megumi.

Chapter IV

In this chapter, he emits 3 sounds, one is a dog barking-like sound like in Chapter II, the other is a footsteps noise like Daku, and lastly, a heartbeat cue like Hiachi. Hearing either the dog barking sound or the heartbeat noise means he’s very close as his sound range isn’t that far so it’s advisable for you to hide in a bush or go to a place he isn’t on.

Shaku

Shaku emits a cute but frightening giggling noise with loud footsteps noise that sounds like a doll walking. Her giggling noise has the farthest sound range while her footsteps noise has the least one. Hearing her giggle means she’s very near as her sound range isn’t that long, hearing the footsteps noise means she’s around 10 studs away from you, so you should start running and go to places where she cannot catch you. Her second maze is generally the same, though her giggling is lower pitched.

Kintoru

Kintoru hums a tune known as «Tiptoe through the tulips» but slowed down, it’s the farthest sound range and you’ll be able to hear it if she’s nearby or around the corner. She also emits a super loud high heels noise in which helps you identify if she’s really near or not. Hearing this means you should directly hide in a safe house. Another sound she emits is her heartbeat noise, this noise is hard to hear as both of her high heel noise (this can quicken when she’s chasing a player) and her humming sound drowns the heartbeat noise, it also has the same system like Hiachi, in which slows down or speeds up depending on your distance from her and plays in both speaker channels no matter direction she is from you.

Kaito

Kaito emits a disturbing and unexplainable noise which sounds like breathing but slowed down which you can only hear if he’s really close to you. He also emits a heartbeat noise like Hiachi and Kintoru, in which slows down or speeds up depending on your distance from his and plays in both speaker channels no matter direction he is from you. The heartbeat noise however, is a bit hard to hear as his unexplainable sound drowns the heartbeat noise due to its high volume. He also has a biwa that plays constantly, so technically he doesn’t have a chase theme, though your FOV will increase if he’s in his chasing state.

Mihari

Mihari emits a disturbing slowed down SCP laughing noise and a noticeable heartbeat noise. This heartbeat noise also has the same system like Hiachi, Kintoru, and Kaito, which again, slows down or speeds up depending your distance from her and plays in both speaker channels no matter what. If you hear the heartbeat noise, it means she’s near. Hearing the disturbing slowed down SCP laughing noise means she’s around 30 studs away and you should start running to avoid triggering her chase.

Omukade

Tokito

Tokito only emits one noise, which is a doll walking footsteps noise the same as Shaku, the sound range is not that long and not that short either, hearing any of these means he’s after you or to his AI path.

Daku emits a coughing, a loud footsteps, and heartbeat noises. His heartbeat has the farthest sound range, then his coughing noise, and lastly, his footsteps. Hearing any of the noise means he’s nearby. Daku has a very interesting sound cue as his coughing and footsteps noise muffles if he isn’t in the same floor with you, his heartbeat noise is also like Hiachi, but does not muffle if he isn’t in the same floor as you. This muffle system will help you in identifying if he’s in a different floor or not.

Keiko

Keiko appears in Control’s Book: Nightmare IV. She emits a very slowed down breathing and heartbeat noises. Her heartbeat noise is the same like Hiachi and has the farthest sound range so if you hear it, it means she’s either close or just around the corner. Hearing the breathing noise means she’s very close. Another interesting fact is, like Daku, she has a muffle system in which her breathing noise muffles if she isn’t in the same floor with you.

Saigomo

Saigomo, in her calm mode, consists of 4 sounds, which are slowed down humming, footsteps, a spider-crawling like noise, and lastly, her heartbeat noise (which is like Daku and the others). Her humming has the farthest sound range so if you hear it, it means she’s near, hearing the footsteps noise means she’s super near and it’s advisable to you to hide in cabins or to places she isn’t on, her spider-crawling like noise has almost the same sound range as her footsteps noise, hear heartbeat noise also almost has the same range as her footsteps noise It’s also a bit hard to hear as her footsteps noise drowns the heartbeat noise due to it’s volume.

Engraged

Saigomo, in her enraged mode, consists of the same 4 sounds except for her humming. Instead, it is replaced with hysterical laughing after slashing three of her hearts. Her laughing noise has a super large sound range so if you hear it, it doesn’t necessarily mean she’s close to you. However, if the volume gets really loud then that means she’s near you. The distance of her footsteps, crawling like, and her heartbeat noise remains the same. An interesting fact is that, her footsteps playback speed sometimes gets faster if she’s in her enraged mode.

Gamemodes Monsters

The Fleshbags

The 4 Fleshbags emits the same noise, which is a spider-crawling like noise and a very disturbing screaming noise, however, 4 of them have a different screaming noise pitch. Rebirth having the lowest pitch and Control having the highest pitch. Their screaming noise have a very long sound range so you might hear it even if they are far from you. If their screaming noise gets louder, it means they’re near you, their crawling like noise however can only be heared if you are 10 studs away from them.

Kazeko

Kazeko emits a groaning sound and a footsteps sound. Her groaning sound has the farthest range, however, her sound range isn’t that far, so, if you hear it, it means she’s nearby.

Hanzu

Like Kazeko, they emit the same noise however Hanzu’s sound is more sped up. He has the same sound range as Kazeko, so, if you hear it, it means he’s nearby,

Futao

Futao emits 2 sounds, which is a soothing humming noise and a super loud axe-dragging like noise. If you hear her axe-dragging noise, it means she’s nearby and you should hide in a safe house. Both her axe-dragging noise and her humming noise almost has the same sound range.

Mote emits only one sound, which is a maniacal laughter. Her sound range isn’t that far so if you hear it, it means she’s really close so you should hide in a safe house as soon as you hear it. Interesting fact is that, Mote used to have a heartbeat noise even after the remodels were released, however, 3 days later, it was secretly removed without any announcements.

Nagemi

Nagemi emits one sound, which is them crying for help multiple times, their sound range isn’t that far so if you hear it, it means they’re super close and you should hide in the music room or turn to a sharp corner. Another interesting fact is that, Nagemi seems to scream when they’re chasing a player.

Taiyo

Taiyo emits two sounds, which are the grudge noise and a heartbeat noise. Both of her heartbeat and grudge noise relatively have the same sound range, so if you hear both of them, it means she’s close and you should hide in a safehouse.

Kabocha

Kabocha emits two sounds, a laughing noise and a footsteps noise. His sound range isn’t pretty far so if you hear any of those sounds, it means he’s nearby and you should hide in the grass or somewhere he won’t see you. You might also confuse the sounds with the other Kabochas’ as there are 3 Kabochas that roam the grass field. They also issue a chase sequence to help you realize if you’re being pursued.

Shinigami

Shinigami emits a laughter with a heartbeat noise. His laughing sound distance is very low and you will only be able to hear him if you’re near him. His heartbeat noise has the largest sound range. If you hear him emitting a noise, it means he’s very near and you should hide in the walls/pillars or in the lanterns to avoid him from seeing you. Take note that pillars and walls are less viable when both he and Shiniachi are roaming simultaneously.

Shiniachi

Like Shinigami, both of them emit the same noise and sound range except that Shiniachi’s laughter is more high pitched, and the laughter sounds more distorted. In the gym school, however, her heartbeat noise has a higher sound distance and is much louder than in Jigoku.

Hearing this noise in Jigoku means you should hide in the lanterns or hide in the walls/pillars.

If you hear this noise in the gym, it means you should run to a vine in order to be safe.

Jealousy’s Book Monsters

Rin/Mio

Rin and Mio share the same model, differing them from other monsters. Rin will sometimes say random dialogue throughout the game (at least 3 different lines). During chase, Rin will loudly scream as she’s running to the player. You can hear it if you’re very close to her. Mio emits a munching-like sound if she’s around the corner. Sometimes, during chase, Rin will stop walking and Mio will randomly roar at you, if this happens, you can hear her roar if you’re near her. If you hear any of these noises, you should crouch or hide in a safe room (rooms with ropes hanging above their doors, or the pond room) or a random room she doesn’t go to, such as the spawn.

During her jumpscare, Rin will manically scream at you.

Nagisa

Nagisa will emit a loud heartbeat noise when she rises up to the ground, while she’s searching, she will sometimes make hiss noises representing her snake-like form, you will stop hearing this noise if she goes underground. If you do not hear this noise, this it means that you should start walking around her temple. However, be careful, and remember to crouch under an object or in the tall grass if you ever hear her hissing sound effects.

When Nagisa spots you, you will be impeded from moving since you have been turned to solid stone, and later, Nagisa will scream at you. This screech in particular is so loud that is crumbles your petrified body into dust, thus killing you.

Kyogi

Kyogi is an incredibly fast monster, who tends to double back very often—much to the annoyance to players. He will often “hear” you, or just be able to detect you while you are behind him, and double back to kill you. The best way to avoid Kyogi is to hide under tables and wait for Kyogi to be almost at the end of a hallway before moving. The reason why is because he doubles back and has a huge range of detection, added on that his area includes many long hallways that will make it near impossible to hide in time once he spots you—most irritably when you are attempting to replenish your oxygen.

To get back to the elevator, again, repeat the steps above by waiting for Kyogi to almost hit a wall that causes him to double back, and moving once he cannot detect or, at the very least, reach you if you happen to be unlucky and he still sees you midway.

Tsukiya

Tsukiya, like Kyogi, doubles back, but not as often. Since her area has three different floors, she will traverse all of them in pursuit of finding you. Due to her average speed (at least in normal mode), she’s easy to outrun, given that you also have decent stamina and speed. If she sees you on normal mode, don’t panic. Find your way up the stairs or juke her if you have no interest in consuming more time by heading to the entrance. The entrance is a safe zone, so if you do want to ensure your survival, head there.

Tsukiya’s audio is relatively quiet. You will definitely know if you’re being chased due to the sudden FOV increase and intense chase music, but she is otherwise very difficult to locate by sound cue.

Shosai

Shosai has an easy-to-hear, loud audio that plays nonstop. The audio has the sounds of irate growling and gurgling that may be mistaken for the sound of ocean waves. Shosai patrols Yoki Town at a very slow pace—however, he has a large detection range and will suddenly increase his speed dramatically to pursue players. Since it, even in normal mode, is basically impossible to legitimately outrun Shosai, your safest bet is to head to the minkas, where he, due to his large size, cannot get you.

Unique to Nightmare Mode, Shosai will crawl and his eyes will glow when he spots a player, along with his speed being higher. He may also end up killing you if you are too close to him under the roof of a house, so be extremely careful!

Hyakume

Hyakume doesn’t have a lot to be said about it. Even in nightmare, Hyakume is virtually impossible to die from unless you are not sprinting, or run into it trying to juke it. Its speed is incredibly slow and sluggish, and though it, like any other monster, can and will make sharp turns or turn around in a split second—it is still super slow and hard to actually die from (unless you are immensely clumsy, or rushing Chapter I). Hyakume’s hulking, blobby form is also very easy to spot, and has a very closed-off range, for it cannot wander too far into the player’s spawn zone, nor can it walk past the candles at the very end of the hallway.

Three-eyed Monster

The technically nameless entity is, like Kyogi, very fast. Not only that, but it even has the extremely annoying hearing AI. Since the monster can hear players, it will automatically turn around the second you get too close trying to peek at it. Your best and safest bet is to hide under the tables after waiting for a while for it to pass far down the diner room it wanders. It can only travel between the diner and the control room, which is also very limited. Still, you must be stupendously careful with this monster.
