He took interest in it, and when he was done setting his character, he was asked, “You will now be transported to a world with the settings you chose. Coming back is not possible. Do you still accept?” Without thinking much of it, he pressed YES and found himself in another world with the skills he chose to have.

Just wanna know, does the LN version is much better than the WN? although i love isekai novel, the WN is so bad even for me.Tq
LN versions are usually better than their WN counterparts if only because of the fact that they have undergone professional editting, but I’ve never read the WN of Slave Harem myself so I really can’t compare the two of them.
The WN for this had potential, but the Author had so many wasteful chapters and filler it killed the book. i gave up on it after the chapter about mayonnaise.
Ill give the LN a chance because they are usually more compact.
The WN is very realistic…. if I were transported to an alien world and strange culture I would be cautious, and experiment with my options… especially if a mistake meant permanent death.
I had hoped that the LN would be even better – more filled out.
I don’t know if it is the fault of the translator, or if the writing style changed that much form the WN to the LN….. but I don’t like the LN.
The WN suffers from a number of common ‘new writer’ flaws including but not limited to too much exposition and slavish attention to following his initial concept outline. Part of this is because the author apparently had no access to a decent 3rd party editor nor someone more experienced whom the author could bounce ideas off of. This situation resulted in the WN being frequently S L O W.
On the other hand, the author did do realistic character and plot development in the WN. If you could slog through the repetitious floor grinding, the story was a good read.
Personally, I’d love to see someone collect all the translated WN chapters past 200 and make them available again. Unfortunately, the original translator blogs are no longer available.
Even though they are supposed to be available from the Internet Way Back machine, I haven’t been able to find them. If someone does have them and can provide them to me, I’d be happy to consolidate them into a follow on epub volume. Seriously
So far (up to Chapter 2 Part 1), the LN is a lot tighter and flows much better. I don’t agree with some of the character quirks/details which were cut to achieve this tightening up. On the other hand, it’s really too soon to give a considered opinion. The touch of a reasonably decent professional editor/advisor makes an obvious difference.

Contrary to some would say, i love this series. People may say it’s slow or filled with filler, whence its confuses me actually since his(MC) actions is just what he want to do in isekai and he is really doing his best while enjoying his life, maybe the best way to describe this is slice of life isekai, hence people looking for rush maybe bit tad disappointed.
As for the pacing, it’s the one i find this particular novel to one(if not some) of a kind to enjoy. He has massive advantage with his OP system, but that doesn’t happen overnight or two and you could really feel the progression and enjoy it with him. He has massive growth speed compared to average joe in that world, but its not happen too abrupt either (what people could achieved in years, he could achieved in months). And yet those are deemed ‘too slow’ by some reader too lol. In short, this series is an enjoyable day by day isekai without some looming conflict like world gonna end or something lurking in the dark.
Sadly, many didn’t give this series a fair chance just because it has ‘slave’ & ‘harem’ word in the title and assumed tis just a mindless fcukery series.
Anyway, really happy this getting noticed and picked up. May this translation be steady and long lived, bless you translators.
