Жизнь тридцатисемилетнего Сатору Миками скучна и однообразна. Была. До того момента, как он, защищая коллегу, стал жертвой сумасшедшего и умер. Только вот на этом его история не заканчивается! Проснувшись волшебном мире… он превращается в слизь! Правда, в ином мире даже слизь — штука совсем непростая, и Сатору не стал исключением. Впереди его, ныне Римуру Темпеста, ждут великие свершения, а помогать ему будут товарищи и слуги, многих из которых он спасет от неминуемой смерти.

На редкость удачный пример, когда очередная, с виду проходная вещь оказывается довольно приятным сюрпризом. В последнее время исекаев развелось как тараканов на кухне у алкоголика, и поэтому ожидания от них соответствующие. Тем ценнее встретить хорошее, годное попаданческое аниме.

Если идти от сравнений, оно мне напомнило «Utawarerumono» в плане адекватного и спокойного главного героя в фентезийном мире и «Kobayashi» в плане позитива и лёгкого, ненавязчивого юмора. Почему именно такие ассоциации – не знаю, но напоминало почти каждую серию. Больше всего понравились главный герой, подача сюжета, персонажи, картинка и юмор.

Главный герой хорош не только тем, что он взрослый спокойный мужик, которого занесло в тело обычного низкоуровнего слизня с парой удачных способностей. Он действительно интересуется окружающим миром. На его взаимодействие с миром интересно смотреть. Он не пытается всех нагнуть, как закомплексованный школьник. Не пытается собрать фурри-гарем из всего, что шевелится, как озабоченный хиккан. Ему интересно изучать окружение, встречать новых персонажей, искать с ними точки соприкосновения, наконец, создавать что-то новое и смотреть, что из этого в итоге получается. С таким главным героем самому банально интересно узнавать этот мир.

Внезапно, в исекае который суть есть приключение, в сюжете есть приключение. Казалось бы. 🙂 Не унылая прогулка из ниоткуда в никуда. Не попытка задоминировать всех и вся. Не сбор коллекционного гарема. А именно приключение. Общение с окружающими обитателями, посильная помощь им, постановка и достижение сколько-либо адекватных целей. Реально похоже на хорошую (это важно) РПГ.

Очень понравились персонажи, причем практически все. Приятные дизайны, черты характера, озвучка. Да, глубины проработки тут ждать не стоит, но для прорвы второстепенных персонажей они получились, на мой взгляд, крайне удачно. Не раздражают, органично смотрятся в сюжете, да и просто радуют глаз.

Всё это дополняется яркой, красивой и сочной картинкой с мягкой, плавной анимацией. Обычно я не сильно обращаю внимание на такие вещи, но тут иногда ловил себя на мысли, насколько естественно персонажи двигаются. Мелочь, а приятно.

И да, местный юмор. Легкий и ненавязчивый, без перегибов. Шутки частенько повторяются, но их не выпячивают и не тыкают в зрителя. Даже не смотря на то, что сюжет местами не слишком то и добрый, юмор тут не вызывает ощущения пира во время чумы.

Общее впечатление – приятное приключенческое попаданчество. Очень такое себе комфортное и ненавязчивое, без выраженных недостатков. Твёрдая 8/10. Если выйдет продолжение – посмотрю с удовольствием.

Возможно, эта история очень личная, и автор кропотливо воспроизводит в своём произведении собственное ощущение бессмысленности мира и щемящего отчаяния из-за отсутствия таланта. Подобно своему герою, даже насосавшись материала извне, он всё равно пуст. Он мечтает вынуть дракона из глубин своей сокровищницы, но в состоянии лишь выплёвывать ширпотреб под копирку, пейсатель одной-единственной идеи, пришедшей в тупик уже в начале, но за каким-то чёртом недурно экранизированной. Тогда будет ок, но только тогда.

Почему складывается впечатление, что попал в коридорный шутер, где все скрипты заранее известны, и дверь не будет открыта, если не найти желтую карточку.Почему герой каждое утро просто получает очередной квест, и может стоять на месте, его задание найдет само, не нужно идти к доске обьявлений, мировой квест сам даст о себе знать. Я могу нажимать на кровать, делать выбор на «спать», и вот новое задание.Пока вы не выполните условие, апнете новый левел или не соберете сто склянок жопастого членистонога, вам дорога дальше не откроется, локации и события будут закрыты. Автор почему у меня ощущение, что это какая-то прямолинейная игра с имитацией открытого мира? «Я ощущаю себя гейм-мастером, если событие уже готово, оно не начнётся, пока герои его не запустят». Понятно вопросов нет, и кстати тогда сразу затрону тему имбовости героя.

Конечно Сатору Миками был стерт, ну а если нет.Главный герой Маг по жизни, его личная жизнь нам известна, а последняя просьба указывает на его пристрастия.Магам Слава! но сейчас не про это.Учитывая возможности его тела, и общее меню женских представителей мира, я как озабоченный зритель хочу клубнички или фансервиса, герой должен себя проявить на этом поприще.Где оргии с гоблиншами, где трансформации героя во время утех постельных, где вообще элемент секса?У него куча подручных прекрасного пола, автор где все это?Ответ «Я не люблю гаремы».Так спокойно, я должен успокоиться..ладно тогда рассмотрим просто романтические отношения с одной девушкой, раз нет гарема должно быть что-то стандартное.Что и этого не будет?Ну тогда поговорим о Сидзу.

Господин автор, что по поводу ключевого женского персонажа? «Хочу отметить персонажа Сидзу, которая в аниме стала главной героиней, хотя я даже не думал об этом, и её роль в сюжете значительно расширилась» ну это понятно что пришлось пойти на такой шаг, потому что по факту Сидзу как обычный нпс, на которого ты натыкаешься по сюжету, он лежит скриптом у канавы и из последних сил активирует новый квест на детей «если ты жижа, спасешь от апокалипсиса?», потому что нужно сюжет двигать дальше.У меня к самой Сидзу нет претензий, ее судьба трагична и изобилует драматичными моментами, которые должны расположить зрителя и вызвать сочувствие к героини.И скорее всего история про нее, мне смотрелась бы интереснее.

А вот дальше, ладно ее подали через шар для спойлеров, хорошая интрига ну и ладно.А потом вы пальцами не успеете щелкнуть, а она только появилась в кадре на момент, и все ее нет.Храбрые авантюристы плачут о человеке, с которым путешествовали короткий промежуток через лес, а можно подумать что знали ее всю жизнь с рождения.Наш главный герой проникся ее судьбой, потому что она «японка» которую использовал эксплуататор, а нет, потому что он проникся к ней чувствами, и понял ее одиночество и проблемы.Сидзу просто активатор нового квеста, и старания студии, которая пыталась придать ее существованию более глобальное значение, и отыграть на чувствах сочувствия к ней вполне понятно, но все равно скомкано, и когда персонажи ноют о несчастной, я понимаю что она достойна сочувствия, но не понимаю реакцию персонажей, которые знали ее несколько дней от силы, и которые теперь устроили дешевый спектакль.

В итоге.

37 летний мужчина в расцвете сил, у которого был опыт и желания, превратился в вязкую полужидкую субстанцию, у которой нет выраженного вкуса и запаха, а от личности остался пшик.И теперь он катится по миру, спокойно находя себе поклонников, но когда он захочет, может принимать прямоходящую форму и твердо стоять на своих двоих, что дарит окружающим чувство удивления..Он мне какую-то индустрию напоминает.

Слайм (slime) переводится на русский язык как «слизь». В английском языке это слово буквально означает вязкую полужидкую субстанцию, которая зачастую может напоминать по свойствам желе. Обычно слаймы — самые слабые монстры в RPG, и являются врагами для игроков начального уровня (а в играх 18+ они вообще творят беспредел).Автора хватило только на начало, как в принципе и почти всех остальных коллег по цеху попаданчества.Слайм сьел дракона, это действительно необычно.А дальше все скатилось не просто в обыденность, что зритель видел уже сто раз, а в обыденность на добрых щах.Конечно основной лозунг автора «Реальность полна трудностей, пускай хотя бы в книге в мире будет царить счастье» я вполне понимаю, конечно почему и нет, но доводить все до крайности, превращая все в счастливую утопию, это какой-то перебор. Полностью захватить главного героя, и целиком взять контроль над его действиями, чтобы отыгрывать свои пацифистские розовые фантазии это вообще не правильно.

Римуру обещает и дает «желейные реки со слизкими берегами», и постепенно слаймизм распространяется по миру куда он попал, а городок его становится все больше и больше.После интервью автора, я в принципе прекрасно понял его подход в процессе создания, и могу большую часть своих претензий засунуть себк куда подальше.Тем более, что многомиллионной публике очень понравилось произведение, где с минимальными усилиями и слизкой походкой, местный кот Леопольд меняет мир вокруг себя. «без труда не выловишь и рыбку из пруда», «нет боли, нет побед» это не наш путь.Все должно в жизнь должно идти как по слайму, не напрягаясь и легко, что-то захотел и плюс 100 к удаче тебе помогут.Когда герой в конце 23 эпизода вспоминает трудности….это действительно забавно, но все превозмогание находятся на уровне «выкинуть втулку от рулона бумаги».

Поэтому слайм подходит не только герою, но и всему произведению в целом, которое сколько не пинай, а форма с содержанием останется прежней.Простота залог успеха, печально но факт.А лично я не увидел в этом сезоне героя в роли слайма, которому был бы интересен этот новый мир.Я увидел автора который занял место героя, поэтому перекатывается своим желейным телом, ему не интересно, он знает на какой куст нажать, чтобы запустить дальнейшее прохождение.Второй сезон должен быть более насыщенным, потому что будет охватывать более интересные вещи и события.Конечно будет, потому что рутинное задание редакции сделать как у всех «собрать подручных, собрать город, собрать горячий источник» наконец-то закончилось, теперь можно попытаться всех удивить.

Обзор аниме Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken («О моём перерождении в слизь», «That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime», «TenSura»)

Думаю, некоторые читатели могли заметить, что я часто при выборе тайтлов для просмотра отдаю предпочтение жанру фэнтези. Источники симпатии скрываются в глубоком детстве, когда я с трепетом запускал на своей верной PS1 очередную игру про рыцарей, эльфов, волшебников и гномов. И я сомневаюсь, что мне когда-либо надоест данная тематика. Осенний аниме-сезон наконец-то дал моей душе очередной повод разгуляться, ведь именно осенью на японских экранах появилось сразу три любопытных фэнтезийных тайтла. Про первые два я уже рассказал в предыдущих обзорах на SAO: Alicization и Goblin Slayer. Теперь же пришла рассказать про третий тайтл, который совершенно неожиданно оказался лучшим из них. Это будет обзор на Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken («О моём перерождении в слизь», «That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime», «TenSura»).

Краткие сведения

TenSura – фэнтезийный аниме-сериал, выпущенный студией 8bit осенью 2018 года. В основу сценария была положена манга за авторством Тайки Каваками (Taiki Kawakami) – изображение, и Fuse – сюжет. Сериал состоит из двадцати четырех серий. В качестве режиссера выступил Ясухито Кикучи (Yasuhito Kikuchi). Если честно, раньше я сильно недолюбливал творения студии 8bit из-за того, что в них часто ставка делается не на качество, а на элементы гарема или этти. Однако все когда-либо меняется, и порой даже в лучшую сторону!

Персонажи

TenSura дает вам уникальную возможность понаблюдать за жизнью японского трудяги, переродившегося в тело круглого, упругого и очень симпатичного слизня. Взяв себе имя Римуру Темпест (Rimuru Tempest), он пожирает своих противников, ворует их способности и постепенно становится неприлично сильным. Римуру является типичным представителем столь популярных нынче overpowered персонажей, которые просто не могут проиграть. Кто-то назовет подобное зрелище скучным и предсказуемым, и будет в какой-то мере прав: не очень весело наблюдать за очередным сражением, когда заранее известен его исход. Интрига в таких случаях сводится к нулю. Однако… мне нравятся такие персонажи. Наверное, потому что наличие столь заметной разницы в силе сводит на нет любую вероятность возникновения «сёнэнных» сражений, которые развиваются по одному и тому же сценарию: протагонист с кем-то дерется, начинает проигрывать, а затем героическим усилием воли все-таки побеждает. Когда персонаж изначально силен, ему достаточно щелкнуть пальцами, и драка закончится. Мне куда интереснее наблюдать за тем, как сверхсильный персонаж распорядится своими силами. Не за тем, как он их получает. Не за тем, как он на протяжении сотни серий преодолевает бесконечный путь from Zero to Hero. А за тем, как он их применит. И Римуру применяет свои силы очень даже логичным образом. Да и всегда любопытно узнать, до каких пределов вырастут его способности.

Прочие второстепенные персонажи вряд ли достойны называться выдающимися, однако со своими задачами справляются неплохо. Это и забавные гоблины, и трудолюбивые гномы, и волки, и грудастые эльфийки – куда ж без них. Рас в TenSura много, и все они прописаны достаточно стереотипно. Но на протяжении все длины сериала заметно, что они пока что не исчерпали свой потенциал, и что в данном мире еще есть, кого показать и на кого посмотреть. Повествование, как правило, сконцентрировано именно на Римуру, однако и второстепенные персонажи успевают так или иначе получить заслуженную долю внимания — это не может не радовать. Пускай они не очень яркие, однако приятные и отлично вписывающиеся в атмосферу тайтла.

Сюжет

Если посмотреть издалека, то вы увидите, что TenSura – это обычная isekai-история про перемещения в параллельные миры, где протагонист оказывается в незнакомых для него условиях в сверхсильном теле, готовый побеждать любого противника. Вряд ли в современных реалиях кто-то назовет подобный сюжет оригинальным, не так ли? Слишком уж много в последнее время выпускалось тайтлов подобного рода – тут вам и Overlord, и SAO, и Re:Zero, да и многие другие. Различается лишь сила протагониста в новом мире, и так уж получилось, что в TenSura он оказывается сверхимбовой слизью. Однако успех истории данного тайтла заключен не в общей идее, а в деталях ее реализации. В различных мелочах, которые, объединяясь в единой целое, заставляют играть TenSura радужными красками! Во-первых, мне очень понравилось, как реализовано получение Римуру новых способностей – причем не только с логической, но и визуальной точки зрения. Это же действительно интересно: пытаться предугадать, какую способность он получит от очередного монстра или действия, и в каких ситуациях их можно использовать! Благо, Римуру долго не тупит, и достаточно быстро находит им те же применения, что и зритель.

Во-вторых, мне понравился гармоничный баланс жанровых составляющих тайтла. Пожалуй, едва ли не лучший из просмотренных мной Isekai аниме за последние несколько лет. Здесь нет преобладания какого-то одного жанра, как, например, было в KonoSuba с комедией, в SAO с гаремом экшном или в Log Horizon с политикой. В TenSura намешено всего по чуть-чуть. Тут встречаются и годные шутки, и интересные сражения (исход которых, впрочем, очевиден заранее), и приятные диалоги, и политика с развитием деревни, и даже элементы драмы с романтикой присутствуют. Да и проработка вселенной радует – в нем оказывается большое количество рас с четко определенным местом в мире. Причем все перечисленные составляющие не перекрываются, а гармонично смешиваются и дополняют друг друга. Наверное, именно поэтому данный тайтл смотрится настолько легко и настолько приятен во всех отношениях. После тяжелого рабочего дня просмотр TenSura доставляет истинное удовольствие. Очевидно, что история даже близко не исчерпала свой потенциал, что не может не радовать.

Рисовка

Зная, что аниме было нарисовано студией 8bit, я не был преисполнен энтузиазма. Однако в этот раз художники студии постарались на славу. Во-первых, им отлично удалось выдержать контраст между фоновыми изображениями и персонажами. Два разных стиля, которые, однако, прекрасно сочетаются друг с другом. Да и по отдельности они выглядят очень даже неплохо – персонажи яркие и запоминающиеся, а фоновые изображения четкие и наполненные деталями. Цветовая гамма тоже подобрана соответствующая сказочному миру, а анимация движений достаточно плавная. Единственное, что бросается в глаза, так это простота спецэффектов во время сражений. Все же пламя могло бы быть более выразительным, как и прочие магические атаки вроде молний или льда. Однако, если абстрагироваться от мелочей, я все же назову рисовку в TenSura добротной. Да и обилие необычных ракурсов не может не радовать.

Музыка

Созданием музыки для TenSura занималась группа композиторов Elements Garden, которые занимаются написанием саундтреков к видеоиграм и аниме. И, надо сказать, эти ребята умеют делать свою работу. Я с легкостью могу назвать саундтрек TenSura одной из самых сильных сторон сериала. Фоновая музыка получилась разнообразной и очень качественной – есть тут и годные, запоминающиеся мелодии для сражений, для повседневных моментов, встречаются даже восьмибитные темы в лучших традициях Dendy. Опенинг Nameless story в исполнении Takuma Terashima звучит достаточно стандартно, однако благодаря отличному визуальному ряду его не хочется перематывать. Эндинг Another colony в исполнении TRUE мне понравился гораздо больше – бодрый и динамичный.

Оценки

Персонажи – 8.0. Сверхсильная слизь и её доблестные приспешники.

Сюжет – 8.5. Яркий, ненавязчивый и сбалансированный.

Рисовка – 8.5. Великолепное сочетание дизайна персонажей с фоновыми изображениями. Плавная анимация.

Музыка – 9.0. Разнообразный, атмосферный саундтрек. Хороший опенинг и отличный эндинг.

Заключение

Кто бы мог подумать, что в осеннем сезоне среди фэнтези тайтлов наиболее сильное впечатление на меня окажет именно комедийная TenSura, а не более серьезные SAO или Goblin Slayer? Было ли у вас когда-нибудь чувство при просмотре аниме, что вы получаете удовольствие от каждой просмотренной серии? Или даже не серии, а минуты? И что, с одной стороны, вам не терпится включить следующую серию, чтобы поскорее узнать продолжение истории, а с другой – жалко продолжать просмотр, потому что это приближает вас к финалу, а значит, история закончится? При просмотре TenSura я испытывал именно эту сладко-горькую комбинацию эмоций. Ведь умеют японцы делать нехитрое, но шикарное восстанавливающее душу аниме на любую тематику, когда захотят! Вот оно – живое подтверждение! Жаль, что в последнее время это происходит все реже и реже… Пожалуй, именно TenSura в моих глазах оказалась самым приятным по суммарным впечатлениям аниме 2018 года.

regarded as one of the strongest Demon Lord among the mighty Eight Star Demon Lords and also the only proper Great Demon Lord currently.

Personality [ ]

He has a kind heart and quirky personality. Even though he is quite laid back and wants to avoid troublesome situations as much as possible, he actually works very diligently when there is a task needed to be taken care of.

With the heart of a hardworking salaryman and a beloved senior co-worker, Rimuru has a hard time rejecting someone if they plead him to help, leading in him often ending up with more work than he can handle, which his boss from his previous life used to reprimand him for.

Being the very Satoru Mikami himself, he also believes himself to be a KY-person (Kuuki Yomenai) who makes jokes at the wrong time.

Rimuru tends to react very severely when there’s a danger to his close ones, such as his countrymen, subordinates, (possibly due to the soul-link he shares with them), good friends, and students (he can’t stand children suffering). One might say he overreacts to these cases, but it simply shows how deeply he cares for them, as a stark contrast with his usual cheerful self.

Unlike many other shounen protagonists, he has no problems with decimating any forces who dare to harm his subordinates and his country, regardless of their numbers, realizing full-well about the deed he’s done.

After a mishap of subsides, Rimuru tends to quickly revert back to his laid back self and mentally (or even in actuality) scratches his head at the scenery he caused.

He is described as cautious and cunning by other fellow Demon Lords, unaware that it is simply a means of him trying to prevent troublesome situations from going out of hand. As he progresses through the story, he slowly becomes more and more like a actual Demon Lord, and as he adjusts to the rules of the new world and understands the capabilities of his subordinates, he begins to let them handle tough situations on their own instead of voluntarily diving in first to patch stuff up.

Slime [ ]

Rimuru initially appears as a pure white-bodied slime (blue in the Light Novel, Manga, and Anime), but upon becoming a Demon Slime, his body turns silver with streaks of gold.

As a slime, since his body is androgynous, anything he mimics takes on an androgynous form of the respective creatures, while still bearing huge resemblances to the individual creatures as well.

His mass also grew over time, allowing him to accommodate larger mimicry forms without using extra magic to compensate for the additional mass. Towards the beginning of the story, he only has enough mass to appear as a child, but by the time he becomes an Ultimate Slime, he has enough mass to appear as a 16-year-old.

Mimicry: Human [ ]

Unlike Rimuru’s other Mimics, his hair changes color to one similar to that of his original slime body. It is unknown if this is just for convenience’s sake, but it may also be possible this is because he was once human before and has a special connection to the form.

Since his slime body is equal in mass to his human form, he fills this body with solid shape instead of black fog. Without the black fog, there is no additional magic consumption required to maintain the form. There is no discomfort when he assumes this form. If he uses the black fog, he can also assume the form of an adult.

His fine motor capabilities improve when he is in his human form, and he finds it easier to move in than his slime form. Even though it appears to be human, this form has no need for breathing, excretion, and reproductive organs. However, he can freely eat, taste, and drink.

In his human form, he wears a black fur coat and a scarf. Under the coat, he wears the kimono and pants that Shuna had made for him. He also wears the steel thread underwear he makes himself. He often wears Shizu’s old mask to hide his demonic powers.

Upon becoming a True Demon Lord and changing his race change to Demon Slime, Rimuru has been depicted wearing a black overcoat. His nails also appear sharper and his overall human form appears slightly older.

Upon evolving further into an Ultimate Slime, Rimuru’s human form ages to 16-17 years old. This form is described by Velgrynd as appearing gender-less (as she saw it nude upon creation) but with dangerously cute features. By simply willing it, Rimuru can generate clothes from his own mass and magic power.

Using Great Sage, he can quickly read a book by copying it completely. Simultaneous utilization of Great Sage and Gluttony allow the high-speed copy and review of the magic books that he holds in his hands. With that, he can postpone checking the content of the book for a later time. Unfortunately, it is not possible to be able to use magic just by copying the books. But, taking and copying it, he’s able to make the index of the magic books that he wants. After this, it’s necessary for him to study them one by one. Taking that into consideration, it can be said that Rimuru holds a great amount of knowledge regarding magic as well as being speculated to be able to use most of the magic in those books, if not all of them.

After evolving into a Demon Slime, the ability to freely change between material and spiritual bodies was added. As a result of the evolution, his total magical energy greatly increased. Compared to the original amount, it was ten times as large.

He was also able to return from the place beyond time where he was exiled to by Yuuki. The ability as described is the ability to reach the desired point instantly across space and time.

When a certain amount of damage accumulates, the mimicry wears off. Afterward, there are no damage transfers to his slime body. Because the skill Mimicry utilizes Magic Essence to create a new body, the main body cannot be damaged. There are two restrictions on this skill. After Mimicry wears off, he is unable to transform for the next 3 minutes, and the other was that mimicking a demon/monster required a certain amount of magic essence. Holy Empire of Ruberios

Another Otherworlder from Japan, Shizue’s first and most loyal disciple, leader of the Ten Great Saints, and supreme commander of both the Holy Empire’s military and the Imperial Holy Church’s paladins. Thanks to someone painting Rimuru in the worst possible light, she comes at the slime protagonist, seeking to kill him and destroy Tempest in revenge for Shizue’s death. She refuses to let him speak, and pointedly does not listen to his explanation regarding the incident.

Goblin Leadership

The elder of the goblin village Rimuru meets and one of his first followers. After being given a name by Rimuru, he evolved and regained his youth and strength.

A young goblin and a son of Rigurd. Like all the other goblins, he evolved after being named by Rimuru, receiving his late brother’s name.

One of the many goblins named and evolved by Rimuru, who was put in charge of Tempest’s production affairs.

One of the many goblins named by Rimuru, and the only one who still looks like a regular goblin even after evolving into a Hobgoblin.

Direwolves

Ranga

A Dire Wolf that evolves into a Tempest Wolf after being named by Rimuru and later still into a Tempest Star Wolf. He and his pack became Rimuru’s followers after he killed his father, holding no grudge against him.

Kijin

Benimaru is an oni and loyal follower of Rimuru, as well as the son of the late ogre chieftain and Shuna’s older brother. He is the Commander-in-Chief of Tempest and one of Rimuru’s three strongest subordinates, along with Diablo and Zegion.

Tempest’s spymaster and occasional negotiator, he’s another of Rimuru’s oni captains, responsible for information gathering and general security, which is aided by his ability to create clones of themselves that translate everything seen by them back to Souei.

The daughter of the late ogre chieftain and Benimaru’s younger sister, which is why she’s nicknamed «Oni Princess» by Rimuru. Very skilled and knowledgeable in domestic matters, she essentially becomes Rimuru’s chief economic advisor together with Rigurdo.

An oni, Shion is Rimuru’s Chief Secretary in charge of his personal care, though she’s rather disappointing at her job. Shion is amongst the strongest of Rimuru’s fighters, wielding a large odachi forged by Kurobee. She is completely loyal to Rimuru and becomes enraged at any slight against her master.

An elderly swordmaster whose skill was already legendary even as an unnamed ogre, but after being accepted and named by Rimuru he gets even stronger — not to mention getting his physical prime back.

The last of the oni, and, similarly to Shuna, not very martial. Instead, he’s a master artisan and quickly befriends Kaijin, working with him as his chief blacksmith.

Lizardmen/Dragonewts

The son of the Lizardmen Tribe chieftain and the self-proclaimed hero of his nation. Incredibly arrogant and haughty, he gets his comeuppance quite rapidly, after which he follows the same Defeat Means Friendship dynamics with Tempest. In addition to maintaining control of Tempest’s Dragonewt forces, he is also Vesta’s chief scientific aide.

A group of Lizardmen who are fantastically devoted to Gabiru, and who answer to his beck and call.

The younger sister of Gabiru, and the former captain of the guard. She left her clan in order to join Tempest so she could further enhance her skills, an order given by her father.

The son and former right hand to the Orc King, who then became an Orc Disaster to try and prevent a famine. He was one of the survivors of the attack against the Starved Orcs, and was later named by Rimuru to carry the legacy of the good king which he does by heading Tempest’s construction efforts.

Humans

A well-respected merchant formerly of the Kingdom of Blumund, Mjöllmile is a shrewd man in matters of business but also possesses a good heart beneath his desire for coin. Having been saved by Rimuru in their first meeting from a dragon attack, a grateful (and somewhat smitten) Mjöllmile quickly struck up a partnership and friendship with the slime, eventually moving to Tempest full-time and becoming their Minister of Finances and Public Relations upon Rimuru’s request.

Lightspeed Masayuki

A stray Otherworlder who arrived in the world by sheer chance, Masayuki is granted the Unique Skill: Chosen One, marking him out as a hero to the masses. Masayuki, however, is little more than an otaku with almost no combat ability of his own. Yet, through almost no effort of his own, he found his heroic reputation snowballing completely out of control, resulting in him nearly coming into conflict with Rimuru against his will. After participating in the Founding Festival’s Tournament, Masayuki not only concedes victory to Gobta (who’d knocked himself out with a missed attack), but joins Tempest, essentially becoming one of Rimuru’s subordinates. Masayuki happily works with Rimuru, Veldora, Ramiris, and Mjöllmile to further fine-tune Tempest’s Labyrinth and acts as its chief promoter by working his way down through it with his party.

Primordial Demons

Primordial Noir

An ancient and powerful Archdemon known as the Black Progenitor, who was summoned by Rimuru during his ascension to True Demon Lord. Named Diablo, he evolved into a Demon Peer and worships Rimuru as a god, ultimately taking the role of secondary secretary.

Primordial Blanc / Killer Lord

An ancient and powerful Archdemon known as the White Progenitor whose presence was most often felt on the eastern half of the main continent in the lands ruled by the Eastern Empire. Intrigued by Diablo’s praise of Rimuru, Blanc traveled to Tempest and ultimately agreed to serve the slime. Named Testarossa, she evolves into a Demon Peer and takes the role of ambassador and military adjutant to the Council of the West, serving as the voice of Tempest’s interests to the human nations along with commanding the alliance armies that fall under Tempest’s purview as head of continental defense.

Primordial Violet / Pain Lord

An ancient and powerful Archdemon known as the Purple Progenitor whose presence was most often felt on the western half of the continent, watched over in inactivity by the True Demon Lord Luminous Valentine and Empress Elumeshia Elure Sarion. Intrigued by Diablo’s praise of Rimuru, Violet traveled to Tempest and ultimately agreed to serve the slime. Named Ultima, she evolves into a Demon Peer and takes the role of Chief Prosectutor, leading Tempest’s police force and public investigation agency.

Primordial Jaune / Menace Lord

An ancient and powerful Archdemon known as the Yellow Progenitor whose presence was most often felt on the southern continent where she clashed almost daily with True Demon Lord Leon Cromwell. Intrigued by Diablo’s praise of Rimuru, Jaune traveled to Tempest and ultimately agreed to serve the slime. Named Carrera, she evolves into a Demon Peer and takes the role of Chief Justice Officer of Tempest’s Supreme Court, tasked with trying the criminals of the nation and handing out fair judgements of guilt and innocence.

Black Numbers

The Black Numbers is the name given to the demons under the command of Diablo, Testarossa, Ultima, and Carerra, consisting of the latter three’s subordinate 200-strong individual armies and the 100 demons Diablo personally recruited. They are sub-commanded by the seven demon lieutenants directly under the Primordials: Venom, Moss, Cien, Veyron, Zonda, Agera, and Esprit.

Labyrinth

Lords of the Labyrinth

The strongest monsters who reside within the giant Labyrinth created through the joint cooperation of Rimuru and Ramiris, which also serves various purposes as a training ground for both residents and adventurers, living quarters for certain monster races, research and development space, farming ground for certain magical plants, and in times of war even a safe haven for Tempest’s and surrounding areas’ citizens. The majority of them are those whose skills or appearances wouldn’t be suited for the more public duties of managing Tempest’s day-to-day operations or security.

Storm Dragon

One of the Four True Dragons and the first intelligent being Rimuru meets after being reincarnated, he’s the one who named him. He in turn received his last name from Rimuru. He had been sealed in a cave for three centuries when he met Rimuru, becoming his first friend.

Mist Lord

An insect monster who Rimuru originally encountered as an injured large rhinoceros/stag beetle-like creature protecting Apito. On a whim of kindness Rimuru healed him and brought him to one of the deepest floors of the Labyrinth believing he would be safe there from threats. What Rimuru didn’t realize at the time was that Zegion is an Insectar, a dimensional-traveling insect race that made war with the angels and is considered a natural enemy of demons. Touched by Rimuru’s kindness, Zegion sought to repay his perceived debt and eventually evolved and grew in power to become one of his strongest subordinates alongside Diablo and Benimaru.

Insect Queen

An Army Bee monster Rimuru originally encountered on a stroll through the Great Jura Forest being protected from other monsters by an injured Zegion. After he rescued and healed them, the grateful Apito became the major maker of the honey Rimuru grew to love, and desired to grow stronger herself so that she could better serve him.

The Index Finger

A Wight King that was once a faithful Sage of Luminism. Tricked by corrupt members of the Church into going to his death fighting a Zombie Dragon and its undead army, Adalman’s spirit was polluted by the death magic and was resurrected as an undead himself alongside his allies and even enemies. Bound by a curse from Demon Lord Kazaream, Adalman served as Clayman’s Index Finger until the war with Tempest when his curse was purified by Shuna, and astounded by her faith in Rimuru he decided to dedicate himself to his new «god» with much fevor.

Gehenna Paladin

Adalman’s close friend in life, Albert was a paladin of the Western Saints Church renowned for his swordsmanship. He followed Adalman to his fateful battle with the Zombie Dragon and its undead army and perished from his wounds, but was revived with Adalman as a skeleton. Albert’s loyalty to his friend has never wavered through life and undeath, serving as his sword and shield no matter where the wight goes.

Death Dragon King

A Zombie Dragon that gathered a large army of undead near the Great Jura Forest ages ago in the past, Adalman, Albert and several close fighters were tasked with stopping it from causing a widespread catastrophe. While ultimately everyone perished on that day, Adalman’s resurrection as a Wight King revived them all and they found themselves strange bedfellows and even friends in the intervening centuries, with the undead beast evolving into a Death Dragon. Not technically a Labyrinth Lord like Adalman or Albert, but she’s still listed here since she always fights alongside them.

Imperial Wizard

Formerly the Court Magician of the Eastern Empire, he is one of the few citizens who does not hold absolute loyalty to Rimuru, but rather to his best friend Adalman. His disgust and hatred of the Seven Luminaries is what drove him to serve the Empire in the first place, and when he learned that Tempest has slaughtered the Luminaries, he defected to them without a second thought. Currently resides as a hidden boss on Floor 60.

Nine Heads

Originally a small fox spirit enslaved by Clayman as his Thumb Finger, she manipulated Rimuru’s good nature to join him in Tempest. Unique among monsters in that every one of her nine tails has a name, giving her unprecedented power and versatility that eventually allowed her to clain the title of Boss of 90th Floor of the Labyrinth. While manipulative of Rimuru’s good nature, she is as unfailingly loyal to him as most of his other servants, save for the few that would probably be considered fanatics or the kijin.

Zephyrus, Boreas, Notos, Euros

Inferno Dragon King, Frost Dragon King, Thunder Dragon King, Tremor Dragon King

Four Arch Dragons that were captured and tamed by Milim for the Labyrinth, serving as the bosses from Floors 96 to 99. They are explicitly Ramiris’ subordinates, even if they do follow Rimuru loyally. They eventually evolve into Dragon Kings from feeding on Veldora’s magicules and later still into True Dragon Kings upon receiving names.

Labyrinth Staff

The head dryad of the Jura Forest, and one of the most powerful allies Tempest has in the early part of the story, as the dryads have the power over the forest itself. She asks Rimuru to deal with the orcs, seeing them as a threat to the forest and its inhabitants in general. She later eagerly becomes Ramiris’ subordinate.

Flame Lord

The being inhabiting Shizu, a flame spirit called forth by Leon with a taste for death and destruction. Originally contained by Shizu using both her mask and willpower, they eventually break free and try to resume their desires, only to be thwarted by Rimuru. They eventually form a friendship with Veldora, who convinces Rimuru to give them a new body, following which they’re given the name «Charys».

Guardian of Ramiris

A former Greater Demon that Rimuru summoned and bound to a Golem of his creation to serve as a guardian for Ramiris in exchange for her help. While ostensibly «on loan» to Ramiris for a few centuries before he would transfer his loyalties to Rimuru solely, events and Beretta’s growing fondness for the pixie leads to him becoming Ramiris’ servant full-time.

Tempest Allies

Champion

A warrior who initially encountered Rimuru after the Orc Disaster incident after being sent by Count Nidol Migam of the Kingdom of Falmuth to investigate, and also brought his assigned party to heel through force and charisma to free himself of the magically-binding contract he was under. He ended up joining forces with Tempest and taking credit for defeating the Orc Disaster while becoming a staunch ally of the monster kingdom.

The Ring Finger

One of the Five Fingers under Great Demon Lord Clayman, Myulan is a Majin that disguised herself as a human and went under the employ of Tempest to serve her master’s ends. However, she started having doubts after witnessing Tempest’s prosperity and falling in love with a human named Youm.

“That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” Mobile Game Is Now Up For Pre-Registration!

Remember that time when you got reincarnated as a slime? No? Me neither. However, we do remember that popular comical light novel which will be turned into an anime coming this October 2018. Apart from that, the series will also be turned into a mobile game as well which was announced first back in March 2018. The mobile game will be an RPG named “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Lord of Tempest” (転生したらスライムだった件 ～魔国連邦創世記～) and is now up for pre-registration!

As the mobile RPG is based on the light novel, it will of course feature characters from the series such as Rimuru, Shizu, Benimaru, Shuna, Shion and Soei. And like most mobile RPGs, instead of making a costly high poly game, the characters will be in their cute chibi form which will attract more players – I assume.

There are not much info released, however based on the trailer, the battle system will require players to form a team of 5. During battle, the characters will attack automatically while the skills that are charged up or out of cool-down can be triggered with a tap to unleash devastating damage upon the enemy.

Players will also be able to build their own kingdom. Like most games that have such a feature, players will need to run their kingdom and upgrade the facilities by collecting resources. Up till date, there’s no official launch date yet. Since pre-registration is already up, we should be expecting the launch date to be within a month’s time.

For those who pre-registered will be able to receive up to 100x Arashi Maseki (in-game premium currency) which nets players 20 Gachas and a 4* Rimuru (Slime) once they hit the highest milestone which is 100,000 pre-registers! Upgraded Dragon Knuckles are a gift from Rimuru that Milim really likes.

They have an effect that reduces Milim’s strength, allowing her to control her power.
