ISA World Championship Series
The ISA World Championship Series was born in 1964 with the first men and women surfing World Champions crowned at the ISA World Surfing Championships in Manly Beach, Australia.
Since then, the series has grown and developed to include an array of surfing disciplines.
As the only Olympic-style team events in surfing, the ISA World Championship Series gathers athletes from all continents of the globe in peace to represent their nations and go for Gold.
ISA World Surfing Games
The ISA’s open division shortboarding surfing championships for all men’s and women’s national teams, the World Surfing Games, were first run in 1964 as the World Surfing Championships in Manly Beach, Australia. Shortboarding combines power, performance and aerial maneuvers. Over the years, the World Surfing Games have featured some of the world’s best surfers representing their countries competing for individual titles and vying for the coveted Fernando Aguerre World Team Trophy. Now the World Surfing Games is a key step in the pathway to qualify for the Olympic Games.
ISA World Junior Surfing Championship
The world’s premier competition for U-18 and U-16 boys and girls shortboard surfers, the ISA World Junior Surfing Championship, was first hosted in 1980 in Biarritz, France, where legendary surfer Tom Curren (USA) became the first ISA Junior World Champion. Since then the event has showcased the early careers of some of the world’s best professional surfers including Gabriel Medina, Tatiana Weston-Webb, Filipe Toledo, Tyler Wright, Alejo Muniz, Laura Enever, Sally Fitzgibbons, Julian Wilson, Owen Wright, Stephanie Gilmore, Matt Wilkinson, Caroline Marks, and Jordy Smith. The event is a mejor development milestone for U-18 surfers around the world and a glimpse into the future stars of the sport.
ISA World Para Surfing Championship
The ISA World Para Surfing Championship was created in 2015 to give surfers with physical challenges an opportunity to compete and display their talents in a Paralympic-style, world-class competition. Athletes with physical challenges that range from limb amputations to visual impairment are placed in classification divisions to compete for gold medals and celebrate the transformational, healing power of surfing. The ISA hopes to use this event as a platform towards eventual Paralympic inclusion.
ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship
The ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship combines the disciplines of SUP Surfing, SUP Racing and Paddleboard Racing. The world’s best SUP Surfers, SUP Racers and Paddleboard racers compete for individual Gold Medals and the Club Waikiki-Peru ISA World Team Champion Trophy awarded to the team that accrues the most overall points. Since the inaugural edition in 2012, the event has been the fastest growing on the ISA World Championship Series, with participation more than doubling since its inception.
ISA World Longboard Surfing Championship
Longboarding has become one of the most attractive and accessible disciplines of surfing. It is contested on a variety of waves and combines elegance, style, and maneuvers on a board of at least 9 feet in length. Traditionally part of the ISA World Surfing Games, the event was held for the first time as a stand-alone competition in 2013 in Peru.
ISA World Masters Surfing Championship
Featuring some of the legends of the sport who are still keen to compete at an elite level, the ISA World Masters Surfing Championship is a team competition for surfers over 35 years of age. The ISA introduced the World Masters event in 2007 in Puerto Rico and it has been held 6 times since.
ISA World Bodyboard Championship
The ISA World Bodyboard Championship gathers the best bodyboarders around the world in a unique team competition. Bodyboarding was traditionally a division of the ISA World Surfing Games, which has crowned Open Men’s World Bodyboarding Champions since 1988 and Open Women’s World Bodyboarding Champion since 1996. The ISA held its first standalone Bodyboard World Championship in 2011 in the Canary Islands. In 2012 and 2013, the competition was hosted in Playa Parguito, Venezuela. In 2014 and 2015 it was held in Iquique, Chile.

Leaders from the International Surfing Association (ISA) and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Organising Committee have completed a site visit to review the Olympic surfing venue on the island of Tahiti, French Polynesia.
An International Surfing Association (ISA) delegation visited Santiago to review progress in the 2023 Pan American Games and has approved the surfing location. The ISA technical team, who has completed an assessment visit to the Chilean capital, confirmed the surfing venue will be in Pichilemu at the well-known break ‘Punta de Lobos’.

Penultimate day of action at the 2021 Surf City El Salvador World Surfing Games confirms nearly all qualifiers for Surfing’s Olympic debut.

Что такое модель обучения ISA. Объясняем простыми словами
Модель обучения ISA (от англ. income share agreement — «соглашение о долевом разделении дохода») — бизнес-модель образовательной организации, когда студент оплачивает обучение по факту трудоустройства с зарплатой выше определённого уровня. Он отчисляет процент от своего дохода в течение оговоренного времени.
Проще говоря, организация сначала обучает человека за свой счёт и помогает ему устроиться на работу по приобрётенной профессии. Когда зарплата выпускника достигнет определённой суммы, он должен будет вернуть деньги за обучение — в размере и в сроки, установленные в договоре.
Если выпускник не сможет устроиться по специальности или доход будет небольшой, платить за учёбу он не должен.
Пример употребления на «Секрете»
Практика
В России модель обучения ISA первым начал внедрять c мая 2021 года онлайн-университет Skypro. Сейчас заявлено несколько программ по этой модели: инженер по тестированию, frontend-разработчик и аналитик данных. Следом о введении возможности учиться за процент от зарплаты объявила образовательная платформа Skillbox.
Среди вузов первым предлагать образование по этой модели начал университет «Синергия». В списке профессий Python- и PHP-разработчик, Data Scientist, интернет-маркетолог, SMM-маркетолог, таргетолог, SEO-специалист, копирайтер, project-менеджер и др.
Нюансы
В начале обучения, как правило, устанавливается определённый ознакомительный период, чтобы понять, подходит ли человеку программа, справляется ли он с нагрузкой и т. п. В это время отказаться от дальнейшей учёбы можно без каких-либо обязательств.
При обучении по модели ISA за каждым студентом закрепляется преподаватель, который отвечает за успех и достижение образовательных целей. А на этапе поиска работы подключаются карьерные консультанты, которые помогают составить резюме и подготовиться к собеседованиям.
После этого периода за отказ продолжать учёбу или при отчислении за неуспеваемость придётся платить — полную или частичную стоимость всего курса.
В дальнейшем после трудоустройства за просрочку платежей могут начисляться пени, за непредставление отчёта о доходах — штрафы, за отказ платить грозят судебные разбирательства.
Критика
Обучение по модели ISA в итоге может обойтись в несколько раз дороже, чем традиционные образовательные программы и курсы. Чтобы покрыть риски компании, тарифы могут включать затраты не только на обучение самого студента, но и инфляцию (трудоустройство и достижение нужного уровня зарплаты может случиться не сразу, а, например, через год), и затраты на тех, кто в итоге не смог найти работу и ничего не заплатил. Для сравнения: в Skypro обучение на frontend-разработчика по модели ISA стоит 200 000–300 000 рублей (в зависимости от особенностей трудоустройства). При этом обучение длится 3 месяца — по будням, в течение рабочего дня, то есть совмещать учёбу с работой, скорее всего, не получится. Традиционный годовой курс по этой специальности стоит от 80 000 рублей со скидкой и 108 800 рублей без скидки.
Даже потребительский кредит на «обычное» обучение может обойтись дешевле.

Chaos of Champions: The “sport” of stand up paddling now has 22 world titles and it’s getting ridiculous
“What did you get on Halloween?”
– “15 gummy bears, three chocolate bars and a couple of SUP world titles.”
“Ooh, I’ll trade you half a pack of M&Ms for your world titles!”
– “Nah, you can have ’em. I’m sick of world titles anyway.”
And just like to kids on Halloween, it appears the world titles of SUP have been handed out like candy this year.
By my count, there were 44 individual “world titles” awarded this season — 22 for men and 22 for women.
Even if ignore the confusing number of junior, master and surfing world titles (which would be generous), we’re still left with at least 18 top-level titles — six from each of the “Three Acronyms” (ISA, ICF, APP). Several athletes won multiple, which means we “only” have 12 different world champions.

How the hell do we promote a sport that has 12 world champions in a single year? How do we market a sport that has no clear winner, no clear leadership and no clear direction. PREVIEW: Who to watch at the 2019 ISA Worlds in El Salvador
The International Surfing Association’s annual world championship – the second World Championshps this year following the ICF’s offering in China last month – is about to get underway in the emerging surf mecca of El Salvador, with 27 nations and about 15-20 big names set to compete alongside 100+ national reps that’ll no doubt be surfing or racing with pride.

Seems like it’s the month for paddletics.
First I posted about the ISA’s last-minute decision to host a World Championship in El Salvador next month, a move that left many paddlers scratching their heads. Then just last week it was revealed that several top athletes would be competing at the inaugural ICF Worlds in China. Oh and the whole political shit-fight apparently had its day in court in Switzerland recently.
Now we get to hear some unfiltered views from a couple of the top athletes about the whole idea of paddleboarding in the Olympics and which federation would best serve the sport. Connor Baxter and Zane Schweitzer chatted with Mike Jucker from Stand Up Magazin on Maui recently. Mike has been pushing this debate forward better than just about anyone, and he always tries to get an unbiased look at what’s happening.

In a surprise announcement that will create mild chaos for its national federations, the International Surfing Association (ISA) has just confirmed the 2019 SUP & Paddleboard World Championship is actually happening after all. Система с помощью видеокамеры считывает дорожные знаки, а также имеет подключенную через GPS базу данных ограничений скорости. Если водитель превышает установленный скоростной лимит, ISA оповестит его об этом. И хотя основная функция такой системы оповестительная, в некоторых версиях ISA может вмешиваться в сам процесс вождения. Например, ограничивать мощность двигателя, предотвращая ускорение или постепенно снижая скорость. Техрегламент ЕC определил четыре допустимых метода предупреждения водителя о превышении скорости, хотя бы один из которых должен быть обязательно установлен во всех выпускаемых автомобилях. Это каскадное звуковое предупреждение, вибрационное предупреждение, легкий обратный толчок педали ускорения и, наконец, автоматическое плавное снижение скорости.
По задумке разработчиков, ассистент должен помогать водителям контролировать скоростной режим и стимулировать не идти на осознанное нарушение.

По словам генерального директора ГК «Про-Безопасность» Дмитрия Будаквенко, применение систем контроля скорости в целом оправданно: «Человек, сидя за рулем, совершает много ошибок. Например, довольно большое количество аварий на дорогах связано с неправильным выбором скорости движения самим водителем». По статистике аварийности, в РФ это около 80 % происшествий. Электроника помогает не допустить эти ошибки или снизить уровень их последствий, считает эксперт.
«Пилотные программы доработки техники, проводимые в ряде стран, доказали эффективность системы ISА и показали снижение смертности при ДТП на 30%», – приводит свои доводы Алексей Попов, эксперт по автомобильной безопасности.
Но не все так радужно, тестовое использование активных систем регулирования скорости выявило и ряд проблем. Среди негативных факторов Алексей Попов назвал снижение внимания водителя к скоростному режиму, связанное с ложной уверенностью во всемогущей электронике, и технические ошибки распознавания, требующие вмешательства водителя для отключения системы контроля скорости.
«Я просто уверен, что при введении систем контроля скорости возникнут побочные эффекты, – говорит Дмитрий Будаквенко (ГК «Про-Безопасность»). – Они скорее всего проявятся в том, что человек, управляющий автомобилем, будет доверяться электронным системам и будет более расслаблен в плане контроля за скоростью движения, станет меньше уделять внимание окружающему пространству, изменениям в нем. При этом такие системы будут распространять свое действие на дорогах городов и на загородных трассах, а во дворах и на стоянках они вряд ли помогут. А человек будет расслаблен везде».
Обязательная установка систем ISA регламентируется Правилом ЕС 2019/2144, обычно именуемым «Общими правилами безопасности 2» или GSR 2 (General Safety Regulation 2). По данным Еврокомиссии значительная часть ДТП со смертельным исходом происходить по причине превышения скоростного режима. Согласно статистике, в Евросоюзе показатель смертности на дорогах составляет 4,2 человека на 100 тысяч населения уже сегодня. К 2030 году этот показатель планируется снизить вдвое, а к 2050 году и вовсе свести к нулю. Работа в отношении обеспечения безопасности на дорогах ведется в Евросоюзе уже не первый год, и, судя по цифрам, успешно.
А что в России? Вопрос обеспечения безопасности на дорогах в нашей стране вынесен на самый высокий уровень. В частности, реализуется Национальный проект «Безопасные и качественные автомобильные дороги». Согласно этому проекту, смертность на дорогах должна снизиться в 2,7 раза к 2030 году. На сегодняшний день показатель смертности на дорогах составляет 10,9 человека на 100 тысяч населения. Через девять лет цифра должна уменьшится до четырех человек на 100 тысяч населения. Единичные проекты систем ограничения скорости автомобиля по данным GPS сегодня реализуют компании-интеграторы решений для транспортного мониторинга.

При нововведениях всегда есть переходный период, где человек полностью доверяется новому, если считает, что электроника исправит любую его ошибку. Так было и с ABS, и с десятком других систем, которые вводили автопроизводители. Например, при появлении в начале 2000-х системы ESP некоторые люди думали, что для прохождения поворота надо просто повернуть руль в нужном направлении, а электроника уже сама «засунет» автомобиль в поворот. Это было ошибочное мнение, электроника не всегда могла противодействовать силам природы, отменить действие которых невозможно.
Человек в мире транспорта постепенно становится все меньше водителем и все большое оператором. Человек все меньше будет обращать внимание на то, что происходит вокруг автомобиля, и все больше будет доверять электронным системам. А их уже более полутора десятков, и развитие в этом направлении идет постоянно. Хочу сказать, что тенденция есть, развитие идет, и от уровня осознанности поведения водителя будет зависеть очень многое. Электронные системы создаются для того, чтобы исправить ошибку водителя. Это означает, что если она сработала, то вы, товарищ водитель, где-то ошиблись. Осознайте это и измените свое поведение за рулем. Только тогда на дорогах будет гибнуть меньше людей.

Сегодня в РФ на части транспортных средств уже применяются устройства ограничения скорости (УОС), например при транспортировке опасных грузов и организованной перевозке детей. Отечественные устройства считывают информацию с датчиков или берут данные из бортового компьютера. Система является фактически активным регулятором скорости, но явно не соответствует определению интеллектуальная, потому что не учитывает дорожные знаки и другие маркеры скорости. Для развития отечественных УОС необходимо применять в их составе оптические системы технического зрения на основе видеокамер и перерабатывать программное обеспечение с последующими испытаниями. Но возникает вопрос о сертификации таких систем Евросоюзом.
Поскольку техрегламент ЕС допускает использование топографических данных и системы позиционирования для нужд ISA, могут получить развитие системы, уже установленные на многих коммерческих автомобилях. К ним относятся противоугонные комплексы и системы мониторинга, уже имеющие в своем составе GPS-антенну, GSM-модем и подключение к CAN-шине. Производителям таких систем необходимо доработать свои устройства, причем в выигрыше будут системы, позволяющие дистанционно, по каналу GSM, обновлять ПО, тем самым гибко реагируя на меняющиеся требования рынка.
Как мы запускали первые потоки ISA — бесплатное обучение в обмен на % от будущей зарплаты
В июне этого года наш онлайн-университет выпустил первый поток студентов по системе ISA (Income Share Agreement), а на днях — уже второй. Ребята обучались профессии «Инженер по тестированию» и получили помощь в трудоустройстве. Однако есть нюанс: за все это они должны будут платить в течение двух лет 17% от зарплаты, но только если она превысит 50 тысяч рублей.
Мы встретились со Светой Шиманской, руководителем программ ISA в Skypro, и узнали, каково это — потенциально платить за студентов из своего кармана и брать на себя ответственность за их трудоустройство. В статье расскажем о первых шагах проекта, ошибках и выводах, которые помогут нам сделать следующие потоки лучше.

Изменить свою жизнь благодаря качественному образованию
Когда мы только собирались заходить на рынок дополнительного образования для взрослых, все вокруг твердили, что он уже распределен. Важно было найти нишу, где люди увидят преимущество образования в Skypro. Мы проводили много исследований и гипотез, тестировали форматы. Отдел HR мониторил вакансии на популярных сервисах по трудоустройству с зарплатой менее 30 тысяч рублей, и таких оказалось довольно много. Это означало, что в нашей стране миллионы людей живут не в лучших условиях, но они могут изменить свою жизнь благодаря качественному образованию. Так и появилась программа ISA — абсолютно новый формат обучения среди крупнейших EdTech компаний. Это и стало нашей «изюминкой», секретом успеха. Вместе с форматом появилась и новая амбициозная цель нашего продукта — построить онлайн-университет рентабельного образования, обучить и трудоустроить 1 млн. россиян и в разы повысить их доходы.

Отталкиваемся от мотивации
Основная цель, которую мы ставили перед запуском курса по программе ISA, — найти аудиторию, которая реально замотивирована учиться. ISA предполагает большие финансовые вложения в студентов, поэтому не хотелось звать на тестовый поток программы десятки людей, а выпускать единицы.
Первый вопрос, которым мы задались: где брать кандидатов? Решили сформировать тестовую группу на основе резюме с популярных сервисах по трудоустройству, подходящих под следующие условия:
Часовой пояс +-2 часа от Москвы
От записанных лекций мы отказались, потому что это очень негативно влияет на вовлеченность учеников — ты пропускаешь занятие, теряешься на следующем и в итоге забиваешь на курс. Поэтому решили оставить только лайф-формат. А значит, для большей посещаемости пришлось сильно урезать разброс часовых поясов. Условно, если вебинар должен проходить в 20:00 по МСК, вряд ли человек из Владивостока будет готов проснуться на него в 3 часа ночи.
Возраст 19-39
Изначально мы решили сильно урезать возраст кандидатов — 20-35. Мы предположили, что в молодом возрасте ты более гибкий, проще относишься к любым изменениям в жизни. После 35 у тебя уже есть семья, дети, внуки, выше риск заболеваний. Семейная рутина и страх за будущее мощнее, чем желание учиться.
Но мы ошиблись. Оказалось, люди после 35 также готовы упорно учиться и менять профессию. Показательный тому пример — наш 34-летний выпускник (скоро ему исполнится 35), который успешно освоил профессию и нашел работу. На следующих потоках возраст мы уже не будем брать за основной критерий, будем опираться на мотивацию.
Регионы с зарплатой не менее 16 тысяч
Еще одна наша большая ошибка — география учеников. Мы боялись, что человек из бедного региона не сможет найти высокооплачиваемую работу в своем городе и оплатить курс. Но мы забыли очень важную вещь — сейчас многие компании дают возможность удаленной работы, а это значит что зарплата выпускника никак не привязана к его региону. Со второго потока исправились: сейчас на наших программах учатся ребята из всех, даже маленьких уголков нашей страны (и не только!).
География студентов — только РФ
На первый тестовый поток курса мы приглашали только русскоязычную аудиторию, потому что более широкая география учеников предполагает и бОльшую ответственность на команду курса. На втором потоке мы стали более лояльны и пригласили людей из Таджикистана, Украины. Возможно, однажды мы придем к тому, что на программах ISA будут учиться люди со всех континентов — мы к этому стремимся!
Сфера деятельности — сисадмины и стажеры
Изначально сильных ограничений по сфере деятельности не было — обзванивали преподавателей, стажеров, вчерашних выпускников, кассиров, сисадминов, новичков в IT, специалистов служб поддержки.
Спустя три дня выборку решили сократить. Резюме кассиров и преподавателей было не так много, студенты давали плохую конверсию. В итоге, золотой аудиторией ISA оказались системные администраторы и люди, готовые к стажировкам. Для первых подобный курс — возможность прокачать себя в сфере, в которой уже крутишься, а для вторых — получить хоть какой-то опыт и строчку в резюме.
Насчет мам в декрете мы тоже думали, но в выборку решили не включать, потому что у них немного другие жизненные приоритеты, а нам были нужны люди, которые полностью концентрируются на обучении.

Немного цифр
Всего под параметры целевой аудитории попало 655 резюме. Нам удалось обзвонить 214 человек. На звонках мы прогревали кандидатов вебинарами, но конверсия оказалась невысокой: из 101 зарегистрированного на собеседование в Zoom пришли лишь 35 человек. На этапе тестового задания воронка сузилась еще больше: до него дошли 20 человек, выполнили всего 13, а договор мы подписали с четырьмя финалистами — нашими первыми студентами Skypro.
Наверное, много вопросов, почему до финала дошли менее 1% кандидатов.
На самом деле, мы и не рассчитывали на большую группу учеников — продукт-стартап, формат непривычный, процессы еще не обкатаны. Но все же, почему всего четверо?
Воронка ЦА для тестового потока
Высокий уровень недоверия к механике программы. Формат, когда ты сначала учишься, а потом платишь, вызвал волну недоверия. Главная реакция у людей была такой — это какой-то развод и нам что-то хотят продать. На будущее мы решили проводит дни открытых дверей, чтобы люди могли узнать про нюансы ISA. И еще, до каждого кандидата важно донести главную мысль наших курсов — мы берем на себя ответственность за помощь трудоустройстве каждого. Это нужно озвучить в любом виде, в любой доле ответственности, записать под * и потом прояснять, но взять.
Мы очень затянули со сроками. Поскольку это была первая попытка, в процессах творился бардак — на каждый этап мы поставили очень размытые сроки. Условно, две недели февраля искали ребят и созванивались с ними, затем три недели кандидаты ждали тестовое, потом их целый месяц «мариновали» анонсами, и только 5 апреля состоялось установочная встреча с Харитоном Матвеевым, CEO Skypro. Все было настолько затянуто, что многие потеряли интерес к курсу и отпали еще на этапе набора. На втором потоке процесс организовали чуть быстрее: заявки собрали за 14 дней, неделю дали на тестовое и неделю на интервью. На третьем потоке набор превзошел все ожидания: мы собрали заявки всего за 6 дней! Очень этим довольны, потому что спрос на наши программы растет!
Часть плана на 6 неделю курса
Сэкономили на тестовом. В проекте горели пожары и времени готовить вразумительное тестовое задание просто не было. Решили дать ребятам вводный урок одного из общедоступных курсов, который занимал около 20 часов. Все его сделали довольно неплохо. Мы думали, что это хорошее управленческое решение, но оказалось, что этот урок вообще не показывает реальных знаний человека.
Плохой прогрев аудитории. Опять же из-за отсутствия обкатанных процессов мы не стали уделять внимание рекламе, в итоге столкнулись с холодной аудиторией, которая не была готова к такому сложному обучению с непривычным форматом. На втором потоке решили проблему интервью с Харитоном Матвеевым, где рассказал о преимуществах ISA и философии в целом. Статья получилась очень душевной, и это сработало: кандидаты стали более лояльны к формату обучения.
Параллельный набор учеников и подготовка контента. Так вышло, что людей мы нашли быстрее, чем успели подготовиться со своей стороны — тестовые сделаны, собеседования проведены, а нормальной программы у нас нет. Все материалы для курса мы купили у одной образовательной платформы — ничего хорошего, но выхода не было. Основная проблема на первых порах — отсутствие на проекте лида. С 3 недели к ISA подключилась Света и крутой профессионал в тестировании Гульшат Афлетунова, и процессы стали по-тихоньку выстраиваться.
Результаты одной из ретроспектив первого потока
Требование учиться фулл-тайм. Этот критерий отсек большое количество кандидатов, но для нас он был реально важен: мы считаем, чтоб стать отличным junior-тестировщиком, нужно потратить на обучение 30-50 часов еженедельно в течение 2,5 месяцев. В противном случае, игра не стоит свеч.
Для многих это оказалось настоящим вызовом — очень сложно совмещать полноценную работу и 8-часовую учебу. На этапе обзвона мы потеряли тех, кто не был готов уволиться ради смутного будущего. На первом потоке мы частично решили эту проблему стипендией — когда есть подушка безопасности, уйти с работы проще. Максимальную сумму стипендии установили в 8 тысяч в неделю, но она зависела от выполненного объема заданий — кто-то получал больше, кто-то меньше. На втором потоке мы доработали все материалы и процессы, и в стипендии уже не было необходимости — ребята черпали мотивацию из самой программы.

Но на пятой неделе люди начали уставать от напряженного режима — ежедневные лекции, воркшопы, встречи с наставниками, ретро. Масса новой информации, непонимание. Важным критерием прохождения курса стали дедлайны — выполнять нужно было все точно в срок, иначе можно потерять стипендию, а там и отчисление не за горами. Кто-то был на связи с утра до вечера, а кто-то днем халявил и доделывал домашки по ночам. На уроке по мобильному тестированию случились слезы — ребятам нужно было установить и протестировать студию android. У многих старые ноутбуки, приходилось переустанавливать Винду, искать технику у друзей.
Удерживать учеников в таком режиме очень тяжело. В середине курса нам пришлось очень срочно перестраиваться. На втором потоке начали кидать ребятам мотивирующие видео, интервью с Харитоном Матвеевым и Гошей Соловьевым (CEO Skyeng). Ребята целую неделю восстанавливали ресурс, чтобы настроиться на самую важную часть курса — подготовку к трудоустройству. Для команды проекта это стало важным уроком — после пятой недели обучения нужен новый более гибкий подход к ученикам.
На девятой неделе курса ребята уже были готовы к реальной работе, и мы начали выпускать их на рынок проходить собеседования. С составлением резюме и подготовкой к собеседованию помогала Аня Воронова: наш HR из Skyeng. Мы поделились с ребятами программой по трудоустройству и чек-листом по подготовке к интервью, чтобы полезные знания с курса остались под рукой навсегда.

Конечно, некоторые ребята хотели попасть к нам. В Skyeng на тот момент были свободные позиции и мы ожидали, что рано или поздно их займут наши ученики. Правда с точки зрения бизнеса и продвижения курсов трудоустройство студентов в свою же компанию — дело провальное, поэтому мы договорились: из первого потока берем себе только одного выпускника и действительно профессионала. Мы хотим давать качественное IT-образование, а значит и сами должны соответствовать этой планке. Ребятам говорили, что у них есть шанс стать частью Skyeng, но обещаний никаких не было.
Еще одно интересное наблюдение — у некоторых ребят, в которых мы сомневались на курсе, получилось устроиться лучше других. На следующих потоках мы не будем оценивать человека по одной лишь эффективности на курсе, он может раскрыться позже.

На этапе трудоустройства пришлось столкнуться с одной серьезной проблемой: на рынке QA очень странная культура собеседований. Часто вопросы вообще не отражают, насколько классно человек сможет работать — спрашивают самую общую теорию про тестирование, просят привести примеры компаний. Очень часто задают вопрос «Какие планы на будущее?», и вероятнее всего человек ответит что-то про автоматизацию тестирования, ведь когда тебе надоедает делать одно и то же, ты идешь и автоматизируешь. Что еще важно?
Первый вывод, который здесь напрашивается: рынок QA плохо работает с наймом специалистов, а значит, мы должны тщательнее готовить выпускников к поиску работы.

Нельзя научиться всему
Выпускников наших программ ISA можно сравнить с машиной — на курсах они получают минимальную junior-комплектацию, с которой могут пойти на рынок и найти работу. Самый минимум, потому что ни один курс никогда в жизни не сможет подготовить тебя к реальной работе. У каждой компании свои процессы, свои требования, свои нюансы и свои продукты. По сути, просто нельзя научиться всему. Научиться всему невозможно, но мы и не стремились. Наша задача состояла в не только том, чтобы дать человеку основы профессии, но и изменить его сознание, сделать гибким и смелым, вручить ему ответственность за свою жизнь и карьеру.
При создании первых потоков мы всегда отталкивались от рынка профессии — смотрели резюме ребят, которые заканчивали другие курсы и которые претендовали на джуниорские позиции. Общались с менеджерами и HR в большом количестве. Искали заметки, статьи, как люди проходят собеседования. В конце концов, вытаскивали опыт из наших сотрудников Skyeng. Мы строили программу от всего, что так или иначе прокачает курс.
Трудоустройство после первого потока прошло успешно — ребята получили по два оффера, правда не у всех были те суммы, на которые они рассчитывали. Но это был первый поток, так что для нас такой исход — точка роста.
Если говорить об оплате, два года для нашего человека в России — это, конечно, ужасно долго и сложно чисто психологически. Но люди всегда найдут деньги с реально полученной зарплаты, если они видят результат и получают какую-то ценность. А они ее действительно получили.

За последние полгода было проделано много работы, и сейчас мы предлагаем целых три крутых профессии по программе ISA: инженер по тестированию, аналитик данных и frontend-разработчик. Мы растем, люди все больше узнают о нас, приходят к нам и доверяют свое обучение — а это самое ценное!
Living Standards Measurement Study
LSMS-ISA
Recognizing that existing agricultural data in the region suffers from inconsistent investment, institutional and sectoral isolation, and methodological weakness, the LSMS-ISA project collaborates with the national statistics offices of its eight partner countries in Sub-Saharan Africa to design and implement systems of multi-topic, nationally representative panel household surveys with a strong focus on agriculture. The primary objective of the project is to foster innovation and efficiency in statistical research on the links between agriculture and poverty reduction in the region.
In each partner country, the LSMS-ISA supports multiple rounds of a nationally representative panel survey with a multi-topic approach designed to improve the understanding of the links between agriculture, socioeconomic status, and non-farm income activities. The frequency of data collection is determined on a country-by-country basis, depending on data demand and the availability of complementary funding.

The LSMS team works with national statistics offices to design and implement household surveys with a strong focus on agriculture. Several panel datasets are now available for free download; visit the country tabs below.
The LSMS-ISA project is supporting the design and implementation of a multi-topic household panel survey, with the purpose of building capacity for the implementation of household surveys. The ultimate objective of the work is to improve the quality, timeliness, and relevance of household-level agricultural statistics in Burkina Faso, with an emphasis on sustainability, capacity building, and improving data collection methods.
The multi-topic household panel survey will be implemented by the L’Institut national de la statistique et de la démographie (INSD). The LSMS team will be responsible for the management and technical design of the project, as well as for the provision of technical assistance and the support of analytical work resulting from the collected data.

Data Documentation and Dissemination
The data from the 2014 EMC are available for download. The Burkina Faso integrated household survey data are disseminated via the LSMS and INSD websites.
The LSMS-ISA project is supporting the design and implementation of the Ethiopia Socioeconomic Survey (ERSS) with a focus on the demand for data on household welfare and income-generating activities in Ethiopia, and ensuring comparability with other surveys being carried out under the LSMS-ISA project in Sub-Saharan Africa. The ESS is implemented every two years: the households in the survey were visited in 2011/2012, re-visited in 2013/2014, and then re-visited again in 2015/2016. The 2018/19 ESS (ESS4) is a new panel. It is not a follow-up of the previous ESS waves. It is a baseline survey for the next ESS waves.
The panel survey is implemented by the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia (CSA), and is integrated with the annual Agricultural Sample Survey (AgSS). The LSMS team is responsible for the management and technical design of the project, as well as for the provision of technical assistance and the support of analytical work resulting from the collected data.
Sampling and Survey Design
The sample for the ERSS (Wave 1) comprises 4,000 households in rural and small towns areas across Ethiopia. The sample for ESS (Wave 2) was expanded to include 1,500 urban households, for a total sample of 5,500 households.
The ERSS/ESS sample is a two-stage probability sample. The first stage of sampling entailed selecting enumeration areas (ie. the primary sampling units) using simple random sampling (SRS) from the sample of the AgSS enumeration areas (EAs). The AgSS EAs were selected based on probability proportional to size of population (PPS). For the rural sample, 290 EAs were selected from the AgSS EAs. For small town EAs, a total of 43 EAs were selected by PPS. Similarly, for the newly added urban areas, a total of 100 EAs were selected (PPS).
The Wave 1 data is representative at the regional level for the most populous regions: Amhara, Oromiya, SNNP, and Tigray. In Wave 2, in order to correspond with the existing Wave 1 design while ensuring that all urban areas are included, the population frame was stratified to be able to provide population inferences for the same five domains as in Wave 1 plus an additional domain for the city state of Addis Ababa. The sample size, in both waves, is insufficient to support region-specific estimates for each of the small regions including Afar, Benshangul Gumuz, Dire Dawa, Gambella, Harari, and Somalie regions.
The 2018/19 ESS (ESS4) covers all nine regional states and two administrative cities, Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa. ESS4 is conducted in 565 EAs and of which 316 are rural and 219 are urban. The difference between ESS4 and previous ESS waves is in its coverage; ESS4 is representative at regional level in addition to rural and urban level.

Field Work Implementation
Wave 1, from September 2011 to March 2012, surveyed a subset of Agricultural Sample Survey (AgSS) households as well as new non-farm households, with a computer-assisted interview application on ultra-mobile personal computers. As with the regular AgSS, the data collection is over a period of about 5-9 months depending on the area of the country and the seasons (from post-planting in the long rainy season to the start of the short rainy season). The AgSS is carried out through multiple visits to the households by the resident enumerators. The final visit for the ERSS was done after the crops were harvested in order to get production data.
Fieldwork for Wave 2 began in September 2013 and finished in April 2014.
Fieldwork for Wave 3 began in September 2015 and finished in April 2016.
Fieldwork for Wave 4 began in September 2018 and finished in August 2019.
Data Documentation and Dissemination
All data generated are made publicly available (fully cleaned and with complete documentation) within twelve months of completion of each wave of data collection. The ESS data is disseminated via the Microdata Catalog and the CSA websites.

The LSMS-ISA project is providing technical and financial assistance to the Malawi Integrated Household Survey (IHS) Program, starting with the implementation of the Third Integrated Household Survey (IHS3) in 2010/11. Following up on the IHS3, the Integrated Household Panel Survey (IHPS) 2013 was implemented to track and re-interview 3,246 households that were previously interviewed during the IHS3. The IHPS also tracked split-off individuals that moved away from IHS3 dwelling locations to establish/join new households which were in turn interviewed by the IHPS, boosting the panel household sample to 4,000 in 2013.
Through a new wave of funding from the USAID, the LSMS is providing technical and financial assistance to the Fourth Integrated Household Survey (IHS4) in 2016/17 and the Fifth Integrated Household Survey (IHS5) in 2019/2020. The IHS4 and the IHS5 both have a cross-sectional sample of 12,480 households interviewed across a 12-month period. In addition to the cross-sectional component, starting with the IHS4, an initial target of 1,989 panel households that were interviewed in IHPS 2013 and that could be traced back to half of the 204 enumeration areas that were originally sampled for the IHPS 2013 were tracked. The panel household sample will be allowed to expand in both waves through the tracking of split-off individuals and the new households that they form. The 1,989 household tracking targets in 2016 grew to 2,508 households by the end of the round. These 2,508 households expanded to 3,245 by the end of the 2019 IHPS round of fieldwork. With the conclusion of the 2019/20 fieldwork, the work program has generated three rounds of cross-sectional data and four rounds of panel data spanning nearly a decade.

The Malawi National Statistics Office (NSO) is the implementing agency for the IHS3 2010/11, the IHPS 2013, the IHS4 2016/17, the IHPS 2016, the IHS5 2019/20 and the IHPS 2019. In addition to the LSMS-ISA project and the Government of Malawi, the IHS3 2010/11 was funded by the Government of Norway, DFID, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and Irish Aid; the IHPS 2013 received funding from DFID; the IHS4 and the IHS5 received funding from USAID through LSMS-ISA and the Millennium Challenge Corporation contributed to the IHS4. The LSMS team is the primary source of technical assistance in support of the design and implementation of the aforementioned household surveys.
Sampling and Survey Design
The IHS3 2010/11 sample includes 12,271 households surveyed in 768 households. The overall sample is representative at the district-, regional-, urban-rural and national-level. 3,247 IHS3 households from 204 enumeration areas were designated as «panel» prior to the start of the IHS3 field work who were visited twice during the IHS3 (in the post-planting and post-harvest periods with respect to the rainy agricultural seasons) and were later tracked and re-interviewed as part of the IHPS. The rest of the IHS3 sample were designated as «cross-sectional» and were visited only once during the IHS3 fieldwork, similar to the practice that was followed during the Second Integrated Household Survey (IHS2) 2004/05. The IHPS 2013 was designed to be representative at the regional, urban/rural- and national-level. Beyond household tracking targets, the IHPS tracked all individuals that changed locations in between the IHS3 2010/11 and the IHPS 2013 interview, that were projected to be 12 years of age at the time of the IHPS interview and that were neither servants nor guests at the time of the IHS3 interview. The IHS4 2016/17 sample includes 12,480 households surveyed in 780 enumeration areas (the island of Likoma has been included this round). As in IHS3, the cross-sectional sample is representative at the district-, regional-, urban-rural and national-level and households were visited once throughout the 12 months of fieldwork. The IHPS 2016 ran concurrently with the IHS4. 102 of the 204 panel enumeration areas from the earlier rounds of the IHPS were selected for follow up in 2016 (two interview set-up to capture both rainy and dry seasons), and the same tracking rules as in IHPS 2013 applied. Finally, up to 4 adults per panel household were randomly selected and administered an individual-referenced questionnaire on asset ownership and control, and food security.
The IHS5 2019/20 sample includes 12,480 households surveyed in 780 enumeration area. As in previous rounds of the IHS, the cross-sectional sample is representative at the district-, regional-, urban-rural and national-level and households were visited once throughout the 12 months of fieldwork. The IHPS 2019 ran concurrently with the IHS5. As in 2016, 102 panel enumeration areas were followed with the same interview set-up and tracking rules as previous rounds of the IHPS.

Field Work Implementation
The field work for the IHS5 ran from April 2019 to April 2020. The field work was implemented by 18 mobile teams and was implemented using the World Bank’s Survey Solutions Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) software (the IHS4 2016/17 was the first full LSMS-ISA survey to use Survey Solutions).
The IHS5 cross-sectional households were visited once. During their visit, households received both the Household and the Agriculture questionnaires. As part of the Agriculture questionnaire, the cross-sectional households reported information on the last completed rainy and dry (dimba) seasons. The field work was structured in a way that evenly spread the collection of household consumption information across the 12-month period.
To collect accurate information on each of the two agricultural seasons, the panel households received two visits. Visit 1 to IHS5-panel households was conducted in the first quarter of the survey effort which corresponded to the post-planting period with respect to the 2018/19 rainy season. In this visit, panel households reported information pertaining to land area, cultivation and input use in the 2018/19 rainy season. Visit 2 to the panel households was conducted in the second quarter of the survey effort, in the post-harvest period with respect to the 2018/19 rainy season. Households reported information on the production and post-harvest related matters pertaining to the 2018/19 rainy season, and provided information on the last completed dry (dimba) season.
This set-up mirrors the interview structure and timeline of the previous rounds of the cross-sectional and panel operations.
Data Documentation and Dissemination
All data generated are made publicly available (fully cleaned and with complete documentation) within twelve months of completion of each wave of data collection. The IHS3 and IHPS data are disseminated via the LSMS and the Malawi NSO websites.

The LSMS-ISA project is supporting the design and implementation of the Enquête Agricole de Conjoncture Intégrée aux Conditions de Vie des Ménages (EAC-I). The EAC-I is a multi-topic household panel survey, with the purpose of building capacity for the implementation of household surveys. The ultimate objective of the work is to improve the quality, timeliness, and relevance of household-level agricultural statistics in Mali, with an emphasis on sustainability, capacity building, and improving data collection methods. The first wave of the EAC-I was implemented in 2014-15 and the second in 2017-18. Funding for the project is provided by the United States Agency for International Development.
The multi-topic household panel survey was implemented by the Cellule de la Planification et de la Statistique du Secteur Développment Rural (CPS/SDR) of the Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Institut National de la Statistique (INSTAT). The LSMS team was responsible for the management and technical design of the project, as well as for the provision of technical assistance and the support of analytical work resulting from the collected data.
Sampling and Survey Design
The sample for the EAC-I is nationally representative, as well as representative of Bamako, other urban and rural areas. Rural areas include: agricultural zones, agro-pastoral zones and pastoral zones. The EAC-I is carried out in two visits: post-planting and post-harvest. The same households visited in the first visit were revisited in the second. The visits were planned to match the timing of the post-planting and postharvest periods.
The sample for the EAC-I 2014 includes 3,804 households.
The sample for the EAC-I 2017 includes 8,390 households. About 3,813 households were administered the full version of the questionnaires (version Lourd, intended to collect in detail data on household income sources), the remaining 4,577 households were administered a light version of the questionnaires (version Léger).
The EAC-I 2017 visited 953 EAs that were visited in 2014 in the first edition, however it was not possible to track households between the two editions. Thus, the EAC-I should be considered a cross-sectional survey.

Field Work Implementation
The field work for each survey was conducted in two visits. The first visit was made after the planting season (between August and October). The second visit was made after the harvest season (between December and February). The field work was implemented by mobile teams. Each field team was made up of 3 enumerators who worked under the supervision of a controller. The interviews for the EAC-I 2017 were conducted via CAPI.

The LSMS-ISA project is supporting the redesign and implementation of the General Household Survey (GHS), by expanding it with the introduction of a panel component that focuses on agriculture and household welfare. The objective of the program is (i) to improve the production of household-level agriculture statistics linked with non-agriculture dimensions of household welfare and behavior and (ii) to foster the dissemination and use of these data. The GHS is an annual survey carried out in February-March throughout the country on a sample of 22,000 households to produce state level estimates. The panel component is implemented every two years. The project also ensures comparability with other surveys being carried out under the LSMS-ISA project in in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The GHS-Panel is implemented by the Nigeria National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The LSMS team is responsible for the management and technical design of the project, as well as for the provision of technical assistance and the support of analytical work resulting from the collected data.
Sampling and Survey Design
The GHS-Panel sample consists of 5,000 households who are a subsample of the GHS core survey of 22,000 households. The Panel households are visited twice per wave of the Panel – post-planting period and post-harvest period. In the years of the panel, the post-harvest visit is implemented jointly with the core GHS sample of 22,000 households (5,000 Panel and 17,000 non-panel households). The sample is representative at the national level and provides reliable estimates of key socio-economic variables for the six zones in the country.

Field Work Implementation
The GHS Panel households are interviewed twice a year for each wave. The visits coincide with post-harvest and post-planting periods to reduce recall of agriculture activities. The field work was conducted by mobile teams in each state. From Wave 1 through Wave 3, the field work was implemented using concurrent data entry approach, designed with the CSPro software. For the first time in Wave 3, a portion of the survey was collected using Computer Assisted Person Interview (CAPI) technique, designed with the World Bank’s Survey Solutions software. The entire field work was implemented using CAPI technique with the Survey Solutions software for the first time in Wave 4.
Methodological Validation
For the agriculture households, areas of cultivated agricultural plots are measured using GPS technology except for instances where the farms require extensive travel to visit.

The LSMS-ISA project is supporting the design and implementation of the Tanzania National Panel Survey (TZNPS), with a focus on expanding the agricultural content of the TZNPS, and ensuring comparability with other surveys being carried out under the LSMS-ISA project in Sub-Saharan Africa. The TZNPS is a nationally representative household panel surveys that collect information on a wide range of topics including agricultural production, non-farm income generating activities, consumption expenditures, and a wealth of other socioeconomic characteristics. The survey’s main objective of the NPS is to provide high-quality household-level data to the Tanzanian government and other stakeholders for monitoring poverty dynamics and evaluating the impact of other major, national-level government policy initiatives. As an integrated survey covering a number of different socioeconomic factors, it compliments other more narrowly focused survey efforts, such as the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) on health, the Integrated Labour Force Survey (ILFS) on labour markets, the Household Budget Survey (HBS) on expenditure, and the National Sample Census of Agriculture (NSCA). Secondly, as a panel household survey in which the same households are revisited over time, the NPS allows for the study of poverty and welfare transitions and the determinants of living standard changes.
The first round of the survey was conducted over twelve months, from October 2008 to September 2009. The main fieldwork of the second round of the NPS started in October 2010 and finished in September 2011, with specialized tracking teams remaining in the field until November 2011. Similarly, the duration and timing of the field work for the third round of NPS was from October 2012 to November 2013. Field work for the fourth round started in October 2014 and concluded January 2016. Fieldwork for the fifth round started in January 2019 and concluded in January 2020.
In addition to the Government of Tanzania, support for the TZNPS includes Kingdom of Denmark, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and the European Union with technical assistance funding provided by the World Bank with funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
National Panel Survey 2008-2015, Universal Panel Questionnaire
The NPS Universal Panel Questionnaire (UPQ) consists of both survey instruments and datasets, meticulously aligned and engineered with the aim of facilitating the use of and improving access to the wealth of panel data offered by the NPS. The design of the NPS-UPQ combines the four completed rounds of the NPS – NPS 2008/09 (R1), NPS 2010/11 (R2), NPS 2012/13 (R3), and NPS 2014/15 (R4) – into pooled, module-specific survey instruments and datasets. The panel survey instruments offer the ease of comparability over time, with modifications and variances easily identifiable as well as those aspects of the questionnaire which have remained identical and offer consistent information.

По последним данным, 73 процента россиян работают не по специальности, а 50 процентов хотели бы сменить работу, причем как можно скорее. Люди часто устраиваются туда, куда возьмут: в некоторых регионах уровень безработицы достигает 30 процентов. При этом половина экономически активного населения после обучения получает зарплату меньше 35 тысяч рублей. Государственные вузы — не самый универсальный социальный лифт: переучиваться новой профессии долго, все это время придется сидеть на старой зарплате.
В 2021 году Skyeng запустил образовательную программу для взрослых Skypro: ее цель — помочь людям повысить свой уровень жизни, получив новую, востребованную профессию. В рамках Skypro компания предлагает формат обучения по новой для российского рынка программе ISA (Income Share Agreement): студент не платит ничего не только во время учебы, но и после — до тех пор, пока не выйдет на определенный уровень дохода. Сама компания при этом максимально помогает с трудоустройством. ISA — довольно распространенная система образования в США, но в России о ней либо совсем не знают, либо ошибочно принимают за вид кредита или рассрочку. Рассказываем, как устроена эта система и как она может вывести российский рынок образования на принципиально новый, качественный уровень.
Что такое ISA:
ISA работает так: образовательная компания набирает учеников, обучает новой профессии и помогает в трудоустройстве. И только если выпускник устраивается на зарплату выше определённого уровня, компания начинает получать деньги — процент от его дохода.
По модели ISA в США работают многие образовательные компании. Лидер индустрии — Lambda School. Этот буткемп обучает студентов около года, помогает трудоустроиться и затем, когда уровень его дохода доходит до 50 тысяч долларов в год, начинает принимать отчисления с зарплаты — 17 процентов. Для США учебное кредитование — привычная практика, при этом при нестабильной общемировой экономике для многих американцев ISA становится здравой альтернативой: человеку психологически проще платить фиксированный процент с постоянных доходов. Важное условие ISA как раз в том, что выпускник платит лишь когда у него есть стабильный заработок. Если работа потеряна или приостановлена — не важно, идет ли речь о декрете, уходе за близкими или болезни — выплаты приостанавливаются.
Многие эксперты говорят об этом подходе, как о более гуманном, по сравнению с кредитами и рассрочками. И в то же время — как о гораздо более качественно-ориентированном. Модель ISA заточена на то, чтобы дать человеку именно те знания, которых потребует от него работодатель. Компания не может просто «отгрузить» контент и оставить ученика с ним один на один. Иначе джуна после таких курсов никто не возьмёт на работу.
Концепцию решили перенять Skypro. У компании три программы обучения для взрослых — Python-разработчик, аналитик данных и тестировщик. Каждая длится по 10 недель и подразумевает «полную занятость»: студенты учатся по 40-50 часов в неделю. Такой ритм в Skypro выбрали не случайно. В компании считают, что если человек решил сменить сферу деятельности, то хочет совершить переход в новую профессию максимально быстро.
Почему ISA — не кредит и не рассрочка:
На рынке образования для взрослых есть два вида студентов: одним важнее процесс, другим — результат. Первые могут позволить себе в любой момент бросить и не доучиться: текущий финансовый статус им это позволяет. Для нынешнего рынка дополнительного образования это идеальный клиент: если человек заплатил и бросил после первого урока, у преподавателя будет меньше работы. Потеря нескольких десятков и даже сотен тысяч рублей в данном случае — неприятные побочный эффект, но не фатальный.
«Когда платишь сразу — никто как бы не отвечает за результат: компания уже получила деньги и ваше трудоустройство для нее — побочный фактор, — говорит Светлана Шиманская. — Единицы компаний на рынке образования возвращают деньги, если человек не находит работу, но при этом процесс очень долгий: человек сначала учится год, затем ищет работу в течение полугода, установленного в контракте, и лишь потом может подать заявку на возврат. При этом по контракту он нередко обязан документально подтвердить, что за это время получил несколько десятков откликов работодателей. Доходят до конца этого процесса лишь единицы».
По правилам Skypro, выпускник платит компании 17 процентов от дохода в течение 24 месяцев, которые могут быть «растянуты» на пять лет. Показатель в 17 процентов хорошо встраивается в российскую экономическую систему: он суммируется с подоходным налогом в 13 процентов. В итоге получается 30 процентов: как считают в Skypro, отчислять от зарплаты больше человеку было бы уже психологически некомфортно.
«Человек должен устроиться на работу от 50 тысяч, при этом мы не берем деньги в те месяцы, когда его зарплата ниже, — объясняет руководитель проекта ISA в Skypro Светлана Шиманская, — Например, в первый месяц он получил 50 тысяч, но на следующий получилось меньше: пришлось взять больничный, уйти в неоплачиваемый отпуск по уходу за пожилым родственником или просто сам решил поменять место работы. И в тот период, пока сумма его дохода ниже 50 тысяч, он полностью освобожден от выплат». Если же выпускник никогда не достигает такой границы в доходах — не платит ничего.
Человек, который может единовременно заплатить за обучение 100-150 тысяч рублей — это не целевая аудитория ISA. Она ориентируется как раз на тех, кто учится не ради «общего развития», а чтобы получить новую, принципиально более перспективную профессию. Могут приходить люди, которые хорошо зарабатывают, но их профессия «умирает» или не умирает, но человек достиг потолка — ему просто некуда расти в текущей профессии. На тех, для кого обучение — главная (а часто — и единственная) возможность улучшить свое материальное состояние. В первую очередь это жители регионов: из-за особенностей локальной экономики и высокой безработицы они просто не могут выйти на доходы выше. Например, инженер-конструктор с 20-летним стажем на заводе может получать 25 тысяч рублей. Миссия Skypro — поменять систему и дать им шанс повысить свой заработок.
«Мы, конечно, нацелены на максимальный оклад выпускника на старте, — говорит Светлана Шиманская, — Но все равно готовим их к тому, что сперва зарплата может быть меньше: например, 30-40 тысяч. При этом, проанализировав рынок, мы точно знаем, что уже после полугода работы джунам в IT-отрасли редко предлагают меньше 50 тысяч рублей».
Перспективы:
При классической системе отложенного платежа образовательные компании нацелены на привлечение максимального количества учеников: чем их больше, тем больше выплат по процентам. Человек должен будет платить в любом случае — независимо от того, хорошо ли освоит программу и найдет ли работу и есть ли у него в принципе доход, с которого можно платить.
Но при ISA заработок компании зависит именно от результатов ученика: если она ничему не научит или научит, но плохо — уйдет в минус. Поэтому в программу ISA набирают самых мотивированных. Чтобы убедиться, что человек в принципе сможет доучиться, Skypro проводит тесты: дает кусок образовательного контента и смотрит, как человек с ним справляется. А еще — проверяет мотивацию: в программу попадают только те, кто действительно хотят изменить свое экономическое положение и использовать обучение как трамплин — на пути к новому уровню дохода.
В первом наборе Skypro для будущих тестировщиков — четыре человека. К началу 13-ой недели все четыре человека получили офферы. Одному из них предложили оклад даже больше, чем было запланировано — 65 тысяч рублей. «Тестовый период показывает себя отлично. Теперь мы хотим масштабировать этот успех. Уже запустилась вторая группа — 28 человек. Не дожидаясь результатов, уже в июле запустим третью: сейчас договариваемся с преподавателями, совершенствуем программы», — делится Шиманская. По ее словам, в ближайшие два месяца по модели ISA начнут учить на Frontend-разработчиков и аналитика данных. Всего систему планируют распространить на пять-шесть специальностей.

Georgetown, Guyana: Leaders from 20 countries of the region gathered for the 4th Meeting of ISA’s Regional Committee of Latin America and the Caribbean Region to accelerate the impact, using solar solutions, on the adverse effects caused by climate change.
H.E. President Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana addressed the 4th Regional Committee Meeting of the ISA and expressed that while the renewable pathway as part of global commitment is clear, it is important to consider local realities and potentials.
In his remarks to the 4th Regional Committee Meeting of the ISA, Hon’ble Prime Minister of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana Brigadier (ret’d) Mark Phillips expressed his support for the Alliance and commitment to achieving a low carbon economy and solar energy deployment in Guyana.
Standing Committee Meeting 2022: ISA convened the 6th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the ISA Assembly on 21 July 2022 in New Delhi, India. India co-chaired the meeting as the President of the ISA Assembly and France as its Co-President.
ISA Headquarters: ISA was privileged to host Rt Hon Alok Sharma, COP26 President, at ISA Headquarters. Discussions focused on the success and progress of ISA initiatives and GGI-OSOWOG.
ISA Secretariat: DG ISA met representatives from Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) to strengthen partnership in building capacity, projects, monitoring, evaluation and advocacy for solarisation.

ISA Governance Meetings 2022: ISA convened the Third Regional Committee Meeting for the Europe & Others Region on 12th July. The meeting was chaired by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and representatives from 20 Countries of Europe & Others region including USA participated.
ISA Secretariat: DG ISA had a discussion with representatives from Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) on areas of collaboration.
Capacity Building: ISA conducted the third batch of Online Training Program for Scaling Solar Application for Agriculture Use from 4-8 July with delegates from 27 Member Countries representing Africa, APAC and LAC Regions.
Capacity Building: ISA and West African Power Pool (WAPP) hosted the first joint training on ground mounted and floating solar PV from 27 June – 1 July with 295 nominations from 14 countries. The training aims to provide technical expertise across the lifecycle of large-scale solar PV projects sector including floating solar projects.
ISA @ LCAW 2022: ISA held a roundtable on Blended Finance Risk Mitigation Facility as a part of London Climate Action Week 2022 on June 30. Experts did a deep dive into the type of financing instruments, sizing & structuring of the fund, risk appetite of the solar projects and ISA’s project pipeline.
Tech for Solar, Solar for Tech webinar on 30 June 2022 engaged with the technology ecosystem to discuss how solar can play a key role in strengthening their transition plans & how digitisation can make energy systems more efficient and effective.
ISA @ ACEF: ISA in collaboration with Asian Development Bank (ADB) hosted a side event workshop on ‘Green Hydrogen for Net Zero’ at the Asia Clean Energy Forum 2022. Experts from Green Hydrogen Organization, HDF Energy, ACCIONA, Total Energies, Larsen and Toubro attended the event.
Capacity Building: ISA, European Union and Government of France launched projects to support ISA’s Capacity Building initiatives. The projects will give ISA Member Countries an edge to build capacity through Solar Technology Application Resource Centres (STAR-C) and deepen the cooperation between the solar energy related businesses, academic networks, and financial institutions.
ISA Cares : ISA signs MOU with Health Innovation and Investment Exchange Association (HIEx) to promote the use of solar energy for sustainable development with a focus on SDG3: Good Health and Well-Being.

ISA Headquarters: ISA hosted media delegation from Maldives as part of the familiarization programme organized by Ministry of External Affairs, GOI to help the journalists gain insights on ISA’s activities.
New Delhi: DG ISA had a wonderful meeting with H.E. Chang Jae-bok, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India. DG invited Korea to join the ISA and discussed areas of collaboration in the field of Solar Energy.

The ISA certification is recognized as the international standard of safety, quality, and efficacy for surf coaches and instructors within the surf industry. The ISA has certified over 10,500 coaches and instructors in 75 countries and the program is offered as a development and economic opportunity to the 109 ISA Member Federations and network of over 85 course presenters around the world.
Recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the world governing authority for the sport of surfing, ISA Coaching and Instructing Program creates the proper development pathway for surf / SUP coaches and instructors and the international industry standard.

The objectives of the ISA Coaching & Instructing Program:

ISA Surf Level 2 Coaching Course:
This course is for surf coaches that are working with intermediate to early advanced surfers and coaching surf skills progression and development. The course also touches on athlete development, sport psychology, and surf contest preparation. All ISA Surf Level 2 Coaches MUST have completed and passed an ISA Surf Level 1 Course prior to approval as a Surf Level 2 Coach.
Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Courses:
ISA Flat Water SUP Instructor Course
The ISA Flat Water SUP Instructor Course is designed for introductory SUP instructors that are teaching the sport in the flat water environment (lakes, bays, lagoons and all flat water settings).
ISA Surf SUP Course
The ISA Surf SUP Course is geared for instructors and coaches that will be teaching SUP in the surf environment. The course focuses on riding waves on an SUP level 1 course along with a broad range of technique applications and safety procedures. The ISA Flat Water SUP or Surf Level 1 Certification is a prerequisite for this course.

Что такое Income Share Agreement (ISA)
Income Share Agreement (ISA) — соглашение о долевом отчислении от доходов. Например, вы поступаете на курс, но не платите за учебу сразу, а вносите фиксированный процент от дохода уже пост-фактум, после трудоустройства.
Модель Income Share Agreement (ISA) возникла как альтернатива классическим кредитам на образование, которые широко распространены в США. Студент не берет займ на старте обучения, а проходит курс бесплатно, оплачивая услуги только после официального трудоустройства. Обычно школы предлагают внести крупную сумму единоразово сразу после оформления в штат, либо позволяют выплачивать процент от дохода ежемесячно. При этом устанавливается ограничение — payment cap: обычно это изначальная стоимость учебной программы, помноженная на 1,5-2. Таким образом, студент не переплачивает слишком много и не тратит деньги на банковские проценты и комиссии, как при оформлении кредита. Экономист Милтон Фридман описал подобную модель финансирования образования еще в середине прошлого века, назвав ее формой инвестиций в человеческий капитал.

Как устроено обучение по модели ISA
Форматы отличаются и по графику: в первом случае студенты занимаются по будням с утра до вечера в течение 4 месяцев. Во втором случае вы учитесь в свободном темпе — в общей сложности обучение потребует примерно 300 часов.
Занятия проходят на украинском и русском языках, но в скором времени Mate Academy планирует добавить поддержку английского. Кстати, иностранный язык на платформе можно изучать бесплатно — курс английского предоставляют всем студентам.

Frontend
На курсе вас ждет персональный ментор, проверка заданий и «волшебный пендаль» в правильное время. Расслабиться не получится в любом случае: каждый учебный день расписан по минутам. Утром студенты решают алгоритмические задачи, потом разбирают новый материал с коучем, после обеда занимаются практикой, а вечером разбирают ошибки и проходят тестовое собеседование с ментором и коучем.

«С началом карантина я осталась без работы и с никому ненужной в условиях закрытых границ профессией — по образованию я менеджер по туризму, опыт работы 10 лет)). «Я очень долго не мог решиться перед тем, как записаться на какие-либо курсы, поэтому очень трепетно отнесся к их выбору. Как работает обучение по модели ISA в OTUS

Помимо инвестирования, OTUS оказывает поддержку в поиске работы в течение года: проводит вебинар по поиску работы, помогает составить резюме, оформить портфолио и написать сопроводительное письмо. Пройти собеседование студенту поможет карьерный консультант.

Как принять участие в программе?

Студент будет записан в группу после того, как одобрят его кандидатуру. Важно отметить, что в течение четырех недель он может прекратить обучение и ничего не будет должен.

Также ISA работает и на курсе «Архитектор онлайн-обучения», где есть целых 20 мест с оплатой после трудоустройства. Затем модель будет распространяться на другие программы. 10 Things that You Need to Know about the 2017 ISA World Surfing Games
From May 20-28 the world’s best National Surfing Teams will unite in Biarritz, France to represent their nations and compete for Gold. Here are the 10 things that you need to know about the 2017 ISA World Surfing Games:
1. Biarritz
The iconic surf city of Biarritz, located in France’s south west Basque County, will host the 2017 ISA World Surfing Games at the picturesque beach of Grande Plage. Grande Plage features quality sand bottom waves and has hosted many major Surfing competitions before, including the French National Championships.
Biarritz last hosted the ISA World Surfing Games in 1980, when legendary surfer Tom Curren was crowned the first ISA Junior World Champion.

2. The Olympics
On August 3, 2016 the International Olympic Committee voted to include Surfing on the Sports Program of the Tokyo 2020 Games. As a result, the National Surfing Teams have their eyes set on becoming the first wave of surfers to represent their countries in the Olympics.
The Surfing competition at Tokyko 2020 will feature 20 men and 20 women and will take place on natural waves at Tsurigasaki Beach on the Chiba peninsula.
3. Country Participation
Stemming from the global growth of Surfing spurred by inclusion in the Olympic Games, the 2017 edition of the ISA World Surfing Games is set to break the record for country participation. The current record was set in 1996 when 36 nations graced the shores of Huntington Beach, USA, but in Biarritz more than 45 countries are expected to compete for Gold and represent their respective nations.
Many nations will have representation in the event for the first time in history, including Afghanistan, China, Chinese Taipei, Greece, Senegal and South Korea.

The world championship will be streamed live on www.isaworlds.com from May 20-28. Visit the official website for results, photos, videos and news pertaining to the competition.

5. The Level of Competition
The competition level for the event is set to be world-class, with France and Brazil fielding some of the top contenders. France boasts four WSL Championship Tour surfers, Jeremy Flores, Johanne Defay, Joan Duru, and Pauline Ado, while Brazil will feature Ian Gouveia and the powerful brother tandem of Wiggolly and Weslley Dantas.
Also worth noting, Team Argentina will field the two-time and reigning Gold Medalist, Leandro Usuna, and South Africa will feature top female competitor Bianca Buitendag.

9. The Mission
Recognized by the IOC as the world governing body for Surfing, the ISA’s mission is to create a better world through Surfing. This is accomplished through annual World Championships, membership development, educational programs, scholarship distribution and working towards Surfing’s inclusion in the Olympic Games.

A Stocks and Shares ISA offers a simple and tax-efficient way to grow your money for the future.
It’s not an investment in its own right, it’s a type of account.
And it’s special because when you buy investments within an ISA you shelter them from UK tax.
This means that if your investments grow, you won’t have to pay capital gains tax on any future profits.
And if you’re investing for income, you won’t pay UK income tax either, which means you could save thousands of pounds in tax over the long term.
But remember tax rules change and benefits depend on individual circumstances.
You have the flexibility to take money out whenever you need to, but because of the excellent tax benefits, the government limits how much you can put into ISAs each tax year.
This is known as the ISA allowance, it changes from year to year, but for the current year you can pay in up to £20,000 and you have until the 5th of April to use this or you’ll lose it.
How you choose to use your ISA allowance is up to you.
You can invest it all in a Stocks and Shares ISA, or you can spread your allowance between any combination of the other ISAs available, including Cash, Innovative Finance and if eligible, Lifetime ISAs.

ISA Staff
As Executive Director, Robert Fasulo is responsible for the strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and operational management of the ISA, with a special focus on delivering surfing’s debut as an Olympic sport. In this role, he continues to be the lead executive for the sport’s Olympic strategy and place in the program of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and beyond.
Fasulo is a global strategist with over 30 years of cross-cultural management and communications experience in Olympic and world sport. A multi-lingual internationalist with extensive experience in delivering complex events as well as communications, public relations, and marketing strategies, Fasulo brings a unique blend of creative and entrepreneurial skills to the management of the ISA.
He was appointed to the ISA position following his decisive role as a senior advisor to the ISA over five years in their successful campaign to include surfing in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Prior to the ISA, Fasulo ran his own consulting agency, Robert Fasulo international (RFi) where he provided high-level, strategic consulting and business development services to major corporations, sports marketing and media agencies, national and international sports organizations and international sport properties.
Prior to launching RFi, Fasulo served in several key Olympic leadership roles including Chief of Staff at World Athletics (formerly IAAF), Director of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) and Chief of International Relations at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC).
As ASOIF Director, Fasulo also served on the IOC Coordination Commissions in Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 as well as the IOC Olympic Program Commission. As (IAAF) Chief of Staff, Fasulo was also appointed Secretary General of the International Athletic Foundation, the Monaco-based charitable arm of World Athletics, where he was responsible for managing a US$20 million endowment as well as developing grant criteria, donation guidelines, financial policy, project monitoring and athlete award programs.
Fasulo attended the University of Portland, Oregon where he was a scholarship member of the track & field team and graduated cum laude in 1986 with a BA in communications. Following a 1,700-mile cycling tour though Europe in the summer of 1987, Fasulo lived in Rome, Italy for 13 years and subsequently Lausanne, Switzerland for six years.
Fluent in four languages – English, Italian, French and Spanish – Fasulo has traveled to 70 countries and 150 cities. He currently resides in Newport Beach, California with his wife, Peta, and two children, Micaela and Luca.
Finance and Administration Manager
As an independent contractor since 2011, Claudia joined the ISA in 2013 with a professional background in corporate finance following her experience as a Financial Manager for a Management Consulting firm. Born in San Diego, and raised in Mexico, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from San Diego State University, as well as certificates from USC Marshall School of Business and University of San Diego.
Claudia is an avid traveler, who enjoys combining her passion for travel with her love of running. She also enjoys yoga, rock-climbing, and most recently surfing, having bought her first board weeks after joining the ISA. As the ISA’s Finance and Administration Manager, she will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and financial management, accountability requirements and human resources management of the ISA.
Director of Sport and Athlete Relations
Megan joined the ISA in 2013 and comes from an extensive background growing up in the surf industry. Megan is an avid traveler, surfer, and is passionate about cooking, design, photography, and nutrition.
As the Director of Sport and Athlete Relations, Megan’s mission is to build, implement and deliver a strategy for the ISA related to Sport functional areas and Athlete Relations including: athlete representation and support program advancement; communications and outreach; gender equality initiatives; Athlete Commission and Medical Commission leadership; management of the ISA Scholarship Program, and coordination on key issues with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and relevant Stakeholders to ensure that athletes’ voices are being represented in the Olympic Movement.
Membership and Development Coordinator
Born and raised in Southern California, Hannah Caskey developed a passion for all things ocean at a young age. This passion inspired her to join the ISA team in 2022. Hannah graduated from UC San Diego with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Minors in Marine Sciences and Business.
She strives to “create a better world through surfing” by growing the sport globally and educating its participants about sustainable practices. In her free time, Hannah enjoys surfing, snowboarding, camping, playing water polo, and listening to music.
As the ISA Membership and Development Coordinator, Hannah will work with ISA members and partners to contribute towards the ISA’s mission.
Marketing and Media Manager
Born in Argentina and has also lived in California, Chile and Costa Rica, has more than 15 years of experience working in the sports marketing industry. Beginning with a passion for surfing and sustainability, Ferroni went on to study sports marketing at university and started his professional career at IMG Latin America.
He then joined Nike South America in 2010 and supported the brand’s successful launch of its Action Sports division. In 2012, Ferroni was appointed LATAM Marketing Manager for Vans to enhance the brand’s profile across the region and increase the company’s direct-to-consumer business. After his time at Vans, and since 2018 Ferroni has been working as an independent marketing consultant.
Director of Membership and Development
Alex Reynolds joined the ISA in September 2014 after spending two years in Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa working for Christian Surfers Africa as the Africa Correspondent. During his time in South Africa, Alex realized the potential for surfing to positively impact people’s lives, and it is this passion that gets him excited to work with the ISA and serve its mission to develop surfing across the globe.
Alex, a passionate surfer who tries to spend as much time in the water as on land, studied Marketing and Communications at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He also has extensive experience working as a surf coach, serving in adaptive surfing programs, and working with Aleph Surf – an organization that uses surfing to mentor and teach life skills to disadvantaged youth. Through his experience Alex has witnessed firsthand how the stoke of surfing can touch the lives of surfers of all ages, abilities, and cultures around the world and he utilizes his experience and knowledge to serve the ISA Membership and Development partners.
Manager of Event Operations
Harrison Robbs joined the ISA in August 2013. He graduated from the University of San Francisco with honors, majoring in History. As Manager of Event Operations, Harrison coordinates the logistics of the ISA’s World Championships, as well as managing ISA merchandise, archives, and equipment.
Harrison was born and raised in San Diego, California and is an extremely passionate surfer, who you can find surfing near the ISA Headquarters in La Jolla on any given swell.
ISA Event Operations Coordinator
Graduating with honors from the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University, Tyler went on to work in the Broadcasting sector for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Birmingham 2022 World Games. These events are where Tyler became passionate about sharing the “celebration of sports” to fans around the world.
With the ISA Tyler looks to continue my work in supporting high-level competition, while creating a community that has the same values of peace, sustainability, and respect.
His fluency in Japanese and time working for international sports events has enabled him to travel the world and meet new people. Some of the activities he enjoy while on the road are backpacking, spikeball, disc golf, devouring new cuisine, and of course… surfing.
