Задача: построить новый исследовательский центр в несколько этапов. С помощью новой функции игроки смогут раскопать редкие геномы в янтарных шахтах, чтобы создать пернатые доисторические виды, никогда ранее не встречавшиеся в игре Jurassic World Evolution.

Recently there’s been some silly drama on our site that was sparked by someone uploading a mod for Spider-Man Remastered. The mod replaced the very few Pride flags the game actually has with the already prevalent USA flag texture from the game. The mod was removed from Nexus Mods and the author was banned.

To address the banning, which is what a lot of people want to focus on, the mod was uploaded by a sock puppet account (i.e. a newly made account by someone who already has an accou.

Did you know that our site started out as a fansite for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind? That’s right, and that was back in 2001 when the site launched under the name «Morrowind Chronicles» in anticipation of and leading up to the game’s release exactly 20 years ag.

As some of you may already be aware, the Bethesda.net launcher is being shut down next month and players are being offered the chance to migrate their games and other content to Steam.

Luckily, Bethesda has already made both the Fallout 4 and Skyrim Sp.

Starfield, the first game in a brand new series from Bethesda Game Studios, is coming to PC and Xbox in November and while that may seem to be a long way off yet, we’re already excitedly preparing for the release.

Update 12 May 2022: Bethesda has announced on Twitter that Starfield has been delayed until the first half of 2023.

In the feature, we are looking at a very special project for the game Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. The mod in question is called «Life in Calradia» by the author OneDrop. If you haven’t played Bannerlord, it is a medieval-style action strategy game involving the huge world map of Calradia, several factions inspired by human history, hundreds of Nobles, and an assortment of beautifully created towns, castles, and villages.

Jurassic World Evolution 2

Несколько дней назад в базе данных Steam обнаружили дополнение Dominion Biosyn Expansion для Jurassic World Evolution 2. Тайтл действительно получить DLC по «Господству», это случится уже 14 июня.

Arriving in-game for the very first time are never-before-seen prehistoric species, which includes awe-inspiring feathered dinosaurs, and new skins and Variants for dinosaurs that appear in Jurassic World Dominion.

We are also incredibly excited to announce that we’re releasing a fantastic Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Bundle! New Campaign and Chaos Theory levels

The Dominion Biosyn Expansion gives you access to an exciting, Biosyn focused, campaign that expands on the story of Jurassic World Dominion. This campaign has been created specifically for this expansion. You’ll be teaming up with Lewis Dodgson (voiced by Campbell Scott), to help run operations at a high-tech Biosyn Genetics facility in a new valley environment. As part of the campaign, you’ll be unearthing amber-encased DNA to synthesise the new film-inspired species, and eventually work to restore a fire-ravaged forest to help the dinosaurs thrive.

You will also be meeting familiar characters like Dr. Alan Grant (voiced by Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (voiced by Laura Dern), and Claire Dearing (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard).

Gameplay additions like the underground Hyper Loop and Research Outposts will let you design your parks and facilities in different ways, and Biosyn themed buildings and decorations will add even greater visual variety.

Alongside the new Biosyn focused campaign narrative, you can also experience a thrilling what-if scenario inspired by the events of Jurassic World Dominion in Chaos Theory. You’ll be teaming up with Owen Grady to house and care for escaped dinosaurs at his snowy Sierra Nevada ranch, and working on keeping them safe from rustlers who are coming to steal them away. Build flood-lights, watchtowers, and other defensive structures to anticipate, prevent, and intercept these rustlers.

The Biosyn buildings, as well as the maps from the campaign and Chaos Theory levels, are useable in Sandbox Mode as well. Please be aware that the Research Compound is only available on the Biosyn Valley map, and will work as your park’s Research Center and Arrival Point.

Update 3

We’re also releasing a free base game update at the same time as the new expansion. Update 3 will add several quality of life enhancements, as well as some new gameplay mechanics. You’ll be able to herd and move dinosaurs from place to place – without the need to tranquilise them and call in a transport helicopter – using new wrangling mechanics. After Update 3 you can also link up multiple parts of your parks and facilities using Park Tours, and a single connected Tour will improve your transport rating. In addition to this, we’re also adding in a new tour for the DFW building set, giving all eras access to Tours in Sandbox Mode.

Also among the quality of life enhancements is the option to have multiple Operations buildings in Sandbox Mode, letting you have multiple Control Centers, Visitor Centers, Arrival Points and more. Avid Sandbox Mode players will also be happy to know that you will be able to fully turn off both Status Checks and Dinosaur Injuries in Sandbox Mode.

Chaos Theory maps are coming to Challenge Mode, with unique conditions and dinosaur traits that are sure to put you to the test. For more information about these new Challenge Mode levels, head to our forums.

Last but not least, this update is adding NVIDIA® Ray-traced ambient occlusion to Jurassic World Evolution 2 on PC, adding even more depth and realism to dinosaurs and the world around them. Simply activate NVIDIA DLSS and RTAO, and you’ll instantly experience amazing visuals and performance that’s up to 2X faster at 4K.

All-new Prehistoric Species

Some truly incredible feathered dinosaurs are appearing in Jurassic World Evolution 2 for the first time ever! You’ll learn more about these in the coming days, but for now we’ll give you all a brief introduction:

Pyroraptor

Recognise this gorgeous plumage, Park Managers? This week’s Know Your Dino was none other than Pyroraptor, distant cousin to the Velociraptor and Deinonychus. This intelligent «fire thief» is sure to put your park management skills to the test, and will be the talk of your guests!

Dimetrodon

Quetzalcoatlus

Last, but certainly not least, is one of the largest flying animals of all time: Quetzalcoatlus. This towering Pterosaur has a massive wingspan and will require several Aviary domes in order to satisfy its territory and environmental needs. Its sheer size and long, sharp beak makes it a dominating force in the air.

New Dinosaur Variant and Skins

With Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion we’re also introducing 6 new dinosaur skins and 2 brand new Variants based on iconic dinosaurs from Jurassic World Dominion. Make your Giganotosaurus more frightening than ever with its new 2022 Variant, and experience the wonder of the new Dreadnoughtus 2022 variant. If you thought this sauropod was big before, it’s even bigger now!

We’re rolling out 2 new skins for T. rex, a scarred 2022 version, as well as a feathered version, which is perfect if you decide to match it up against the new Giganotosaurus Variant modelled after it’s appearance in Jurassic World Dominion. Finally, we’re adding a new 2022 skin for Dilophosaurus and 3 film-based skins for Parasaurolophus that we know you’ll absolutely love!

New Campaign

Jump into a completely new and immersive campaign and discover the rise of Biosyn Valley. You’ll be taking control of Biosyn’s valley research compound – soon to be seen in Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic World Dominion – constructing it through multiple stages as you play. You’ll also be working alongside familiar and iconic characters from across the franchise, including Claire Dearing (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard), Dr. Alan Grant (voiced by Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (voiced by Laura Dern), and Lewis Dodgson (voiced by Campbell Scott).

Much like InGen, Biosyn also extracts dinosaur DNA from amber. You’ll be sending scientists deep into the earth beneath the valley to extract amber-encased DNA and build up your dinosaur genomes. As the valley research compound expands, you’ll get to use all new gameplay features introduced in this DLC. An underground Hyper Loop transportation network will move people back and forth, while your dinosaurs are safely kept behind invisible fences. New buildings, vehicles and decorations will also be available to use in Sandbox Mode.

The new Biosyn Valley map is also playable in Sandbox Mode, with both Normal and Flattened terrain options. The Normal terrain option will keep the Research Compound as a visual part of the map, whereas Flattened terrain will remove it.

New Chaos Theory Level

In addition to the new campaign, the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion also adds a brand new Chaos Theory level to the game where you work to protect dinosaurs at a snowy Sierra Nevada range, in a level inspired by the events of Jurassic World Dominion. The new dinosaur-wrangling mechanic can be used to corral herds of dinosaurs quickly, without the need for tranquilisation or a transport team. As your ranch grows larger, dinosaur rustlers will break in to steal the dinosaurs you’re trying to care for. You’ll have to build out your security measures to detect intruders and perimeter breaches, and intercept their vehicles before they can make away with your dinosaurs.

Update 3

There is plenty to sink your teeth, claws and talons into in the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion. Alongside this DLC we’re also releasing Update 3, a free update for everyone who owns Jurassic World Evolution 2. This update will include several new features and mechanics, as well as bug fixes and quality of life changes.

Chaos Theory Maps in Challenge Mode

A taste of Chaos Theory is coming to Challenge Mode with a set of new maps. These are all inspired by the 5 different Chaos Theory scenarios found in the base game and will put your park management skills to the test. To read more about these new maps and what you can expect, head over to our write-up on our forums.

Dinosaur Wrangling

Dinosaur wrangling is a core part of the new Chaos Theory level, but it will also be available to use in other modes. This is a way for you to move dinosaurs around without needing to tranquilise them and call in a transport helicopter. Wrangling dinosaurs is done in a Ranger Vehicle and will let you move herds of dinosaurs from point A to B.

Park Tour changes

Your Park Tours will also get a few upgrades with Update 3. We’re very happy to announce that Park Tours will now function as transport, letting you connect separate areas of the park and improve your transport rating with a single connected tour. You’ll also be able to increase the number of vehicles based on Tour length, and even adjust the distance between them. Finally, we’re adding tour binoculars for all vehicles, further increasing the viewing radius of all Tours. We’re also adding in a new DFW tour, so all eras will have access to a Tour in Sandbox Mode.

Transport changes

While dinosaur wrangling will let you move multiple dinosaurs at once while on land, we’re also adding in a way to move multiple dinosaurs using transport helicopters with Update 3. Your dinosaurs will be grouped per species, and you’ll able to see the order in which they’ll be moved by your transport team.

Quality of Life changes

Last, but certainly not least, let’s talk a bit about the quality of life changes we’re rolling out with Update 3. We’re adding in new contracts, as well as changing up some of the contracts already in the game. You may also encounter contracts that carry great risks, but also bigger rewards. These deals could go wrong, so be careful when accepting them!

If you’re an ardent Sandbox Mode builder, you will be happy to know we’ll be removing building limits on Operation buildings in Sandbox Mode across all platforms. This will allow you to build multiples of buildings you could previously only have one of in your parks. You’ll now be able to place down multiple Control Centers, Visitor Centers, Arrival Points, Research Centers, and more. You will also be able to full turn off both Status Checks and Dinosaur Injuries in Sandbox Mode!

There will be more quality of life changes, as well as bug fixes, in the full patch notes coming out on 14th of June.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 — неспешная эволюция. Рецензия

Первая Jurassic World Evolution была примечательной игрой, хоть и не без очевидных недостатков, которые точно подметил в своей рецензии мой коллега. И я подпишусь под каждым его словом. Хотя романтика управленческих будней Парка юрского периода, милые сердцу мелодии, десятки отсылок к любимым (и не очень) художественным фильмам делали своё дело и будоражили душу, но не интуитивный и перегруженный интерфейс, административная тягучая рутина и слабые менеджмент-составляющие изрядно портили впечатление. Но теплилась надежда, что во второй раз Frontier Developments наконец-то сделает тот самый «парк мечты». И отчасти шаг в эту сторону был сделан, пусть и не такой значительный, как хотелось бы…

Виды здесь и вправду завораживают!

⇡#У всех свои загоны

С точки зрения менеджмента здесь мало что поменялось со времён первой части. А общий шаблон действий так и вовсе едва отличим: строим административные здания, нанимаем учёных, выводим новых особей в пробирке или же ловим их в лесах Канады, Соединённых Штатов, Германии или Великобритании (действие игры происходит после событий фильма «Мир юрского периода — 2») и, конечно же, создаём для драгоценных «питомцев» все условия. Под каждый вид нужно выделить свой загон, который ещё и будет соответствовать утончённым требованиям динозавра: диплодок порадуется высокорастущим листьям, карнозавр оценит хрустящий под когтями песок, а паразауролоф, любящий простор, скажет спасибо за пустырь в своём вольере.

Чтобы точно узнать, чего хочет конкретная зверушка, к ней необходимо отправить команду рейнджеров с заданием выяснить предпочитаемый рацион, идеальную среду и общее состояние. Проверки нужно проводить регулярно и вручную, что со временем невероятно утомляет. Но эта рутина необходима, ведь если зверь окажется чем-то недоволен — жди беды и реконструкции событий одного из фильмов саги. Возмущённые рептилии уверенно бросаются на изгородь, крушат технику и наводят ужас на персонал и посетителей парка. А это, в свою очередь, влетает нам в копеечку. Так что необходимо своевременно выявлять проблемы, а если не получилось, то хотя бы вовремя мобилизовать команду отлова, которая усыпит разбушевавшуюся особь. А ещё во время «бунта» динозавр может случайно нанести себе увечья. Впрочем, пораниться животное способно и в собственном вольере, если, например, не поладит с соседями.

Насколько крепкие нервы требуются для работы в парке? Посмотрите на сотрудника в кузове: не человек — кремень!

На случай экстренной медпомощи существует палеомедицинский центр. Отряды ветеринаров оперативно выезжают к зверю для диагностики. А там уже будет понятно — можно ли вылечить особь доступными средствами или, например, разработать новую вакцину. Для исследования перспективного лекарства потребуется выполнить какое-нибудь незначительное условие: к примеру, чтобы найти средство против птичьей оспы, необходимо продержать всех заражённых особей на карантине; а чтобы разобраться с бешенством — сделать фотографию динозавра с этим недугом. А ещё можно нащёлкать побольше снимков и продать их ценителям.

В случае с переломами особь уже не вылечить на месте — придётся доставлять больного в медицинский центр, где учёные займутся восстановлением сломанных костей. Или, в случае нехватки компетенции, не сделают ничего… Что, конечно, временами раздражает. Как и необходимость делать десятки рутинных мелочей без возможности доверить работу персоналу. Обязательно занесу это в их личные дела! Как результат, директор парка собственноручно заправляет генераторы, покупает еду и топливо рейнджерам, следит за состоянием каждой (!) особи, а вечерами печально размышляет: «Не о такой работе я мечтал»…

Ценные кадры стоят дорого. А ещё готовьтесь раскошеливаться на дорогостоящий отпуск, чтобы квалифицированный сотрудник не «перегорел»

⇡#Жизнь в поиске выхода

И хоть нудные и бесконечные мелкие дела изрядно выматывают, сиквел всё же выглядит заметно лучше первой части. Например, искусственный интеллект динозавров ощутимо вырос (очевидно, генетика сильно шагнула вперёд за три года), как и видовое разнообразие — в игре теперь есть водные и летающие виды. Преобразилась визуальная часть — порой просто ставишь игру на паузу, чтобы полюбоваться живописным пейзажем с высоты полёта птеродактиля или понаблюдать за величественным брахиозавром.

А ещё Jurassic World Evolution 2 может похвастаться куда более тесным сплетением с киновселенной «Парка юрского периода». Основная кампания, как уже вскользь упоминалось, разворачивается после событий киноленты Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom и продолжает её нарратив. Динозавры разбежались по планете, и наша задача — обеспечить им, как и простым людям, безопасность. Для этого предстоит отловить самых опасных (да и не только) особей, поместить их в надёжные загоны и, конечно, прилично на этом подзаработать. Сюжет вселенной в игре практически никак не развивается, но встреча со знакомыми лицами наверняка придётся фанатам по душе. Хотя, скажу честно, некоторые игровые элементы в кампании всё же не удались — особенно те, что откровенно замедляют процесс. Например, заскриптованные ураганы просто уничтожили всю мою инфраструктуру и отправили и без того шаткий баланс в крутое пике. Выбираться из него пришлось довольно долго и мучительно.

Несомненно, восторг фанатов вселенной вызовет режим «Теория хаоса». Здесь обыгрывается знаменитая концепция «что, если…». Что, если бы вулкан в «Мире юрского периода — 2» не начал извержение; что, если бы в «Затерянном мире» благополучно удалось вывезти динозавров с острова и организовать парк на материке; что, если бы «Объект Б» стал функционирующим развлекательным центром. На все эти вопросы предстоит ответить именно игроку.

А ещё можно проверить свои способности управленца в испытаниях, где кроме рутинных дел и организационных сложностей против игрока выступают ограниченные временные ресурсы. Но если эта забава кажется слишком напряжённой, то стоит отправиться в «Песочницу», где можно строить свой личный парк с блек-джеком и тираннозаврами как душе угодно.

Тут главное не паниковать и спокойно, без лишней суеты вдавить педаль в пол и нестись куда глаза глядят

Словом, в Jurassic World Evolution 2, несмотря на многие шероховатости, есть где разгуляться. Она стала ещё на одну эволюционную ступень ближе к заветной мечте о собственном Парке юрского периода. Надеюсь, в третьей части авторы из Frontier Developments наконец позволят автоматизировать или просто уберут самые скучные и выматывающие элементы игры. И жизнь наконец-то найдёт выход!

Чарующие аранжировки любимых композиций из полнометражных фильмов умело дёргают струны души. Да и весь звуковой дизайн здесь исполнен на весьма достойном уровне.

Четыре режима сулят немало времени перед экраном. Особенно если вас не пугает административная рутина…

Welcome back, Park Managers, to a new Species Field Guide!

In this series of articles we’ve been spotlighting some of the incredible prehistoric species from the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion. It’s been a lot of fun looking at these different species, and we hope you’ve enjoyed them as well!
Last time we shared more information about the gigantic Quetzalcoatlus, one of the largest flying reptiles of its time. It’s truly an impressive species, one we’re incredibly happy to have in the game. This week we’re heading back down to ground level again to take a look at another feathered dinosaur, a massive herbivore with menacing claws: Therizinosaurus.

Therizinosaurus lived in Asia during the Late Cretaceous period, in what is now known as the Nemegt Formation. The first remains of Therizinosaurus were found in 1948 by a Mongolian field expedition in the Gobi Desert, where they uncovered the huge claw bones that gives the dinosaur its name. Since then, only a few fossilised remains have been found, but it’s known that its claws are some of the longest claws of any animal ever discovered, earning it a name that means «Scythe Lizard».

A large dinosaurs, it’s believed that Therizinosaurus could weigh up to 5000 kilograms while it was alive. Its claws are believed to have been used mainly to feed, pulling in any vegetation within reach, but the prominence and size of its claws also suggests that they may have been used as defense against predators. Therizinosaurus was likely a slow moving animal, making it difficult to run away from predators. Evidence then suggests that it was more likely to try and stand its ground and fight back when facing a predator.

When housed in your parks and facilities, this dinosaur is fiercely territorial and will not tolerate any other species within its enclosure. These dinosaurs dislike everything, and they won’t be afraid to show it. In a fight they will use their claws as weapons, and can even take down carnivores if they feel inclined. You’ll need to do some gene modifications to even have them consider sharing their enclosures with anyone.

Therizinosaurus’ diet consists mainly of Ground Leaves, but they’ll obviously also need water to drink. Beyond that, providing them with enough trees to hide in will usually keep them happy and satisfied.

The Dominion Biosyn Expansion gives you access to an exciting, Biosyn focused, campaign that expands on the story of Jurassic World Dominion. This campaign has been created specifically for this expansion. You’ll be teaming up with Lewis Dodgson (voiced by Campbell Scott), to help run operations at a high-tech Biosyn Genetics facility in a new valley environment. As part of the campaign, you’ll be unearthing amber-encased DNA to synthesise the new film-inspired species, and eventually work to restore a fire-ravaged forest to help the dinosaurs thrive.

You will also be meeting familiar characters like Dr. Alan Grant (voiced by Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (voiced by Laura Dern), and Claire Dearing (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard).

Update 3
We’re also releasing a free base game update at the same time as the new expansion. Update 3 will add several quality of life enhancements, as well as some new gameplay mechanics. You’ll be able to herd and move dinosaurs from place to place – without the need to tranquilise them and call in a transport helicopter – using new wrangling mechanics. After Update 3 you can also link up multiple parts of your parks and facilities using Park Tours, and a single connected Tour will improve your transport rating. In addition to this, we’re also adding in a new tour for the DFW building set, giving all eras access to Tours in Sandbox Mode.

Welcome back Park Managers, to a new Feature Focus!

The Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion launches tomorrow, and to tide you over we’re giving you a look at the narratives you’ll find in the new Campaign and Chaos Theory levels. There will be slight spoilers for premises and plot development for these levels, so consider this your spoiler warning!

If you’re still with us, great! Let’s go:

Campaign Mode
In Campaign Mode, you’ll be teaming up with Lewis Dodgson, Isaac Clement and Ramsay Cole to help build operations at Biosyn Sanctuary. You’ll be the head of their Valley Research Compound, in charge of sending scientists out on Amber Expeditions and eventually overseeing the creation of new, never before seen pre-historic species like Pyroraptor, Dimetrodon, and Therizinosaurus. Biosyn wants to succeed where InGen failed, and are working towards their ambitious goal of becoming a world leader in genetic engineering.

While building the valley you’ll have access to the full functionality of their Valley Research Compound, as well as technological innovations like the Research Outpost, the Hyper Loop transportation system, and invisible fences and gates. Biosyn wants as little human intervention into their dinosaurs’ lives as possible, creating a valley environment similar to a nature reserve. The Hyper Loop will transport scientists to and from locations, while the Research Outpost provides a full 360 degree view around them wherever they’re placed. Invisible fences will keep the dinosaurs contained as long as they’re powered. You can read more about these in our Park Management Guide.

Once Biosyn Valley is built, the narrative will fast-forward to events that take place after Jurassic World Dominion.

After a devastating fire has torn through Biosyn Valley, Claire Dearing, Dr. Alan Grant, and Dr. Ellie Sattler return to the area to heal and protect the remaining species and provide them with a new ecosystem to live in. The fire hasn’t just damaged the environment, it’s also wrecked havoc on the animals and buildings left over from Biosyn’s operations. Available space is scarce because of the damage done to the surrounding area. As you work to clear out the valley and improve conditions, the DFW will intermittently deliver new species so you can eventually transform the valley into a wildlife sanctuary.

The campaign will surely challenge your abilities as a park manager and help expand the Jurassic World universe.
Now that we’ve taken a look at the campaign, let’s take a look at Chaos Theory!

Chaos Theory
This new Chaos Theory level is inspired by the events of Jurassic World Dominion. In this what-if scenario, Biosyn were unable to take in dinosaurs for the DFW, and dinosaurs are roaming free throughout the United States and beyond.

Your job is to work alongside Owen Grady and the DFW to house said dinosaurs at his ranch located in the Sierra Nevada range, in a brand new map that’s also available in Sandbox Mode. As you play you’ll be wrangling large herds of dinosaurs between enclosures, as well as preparing the ranch’s defenses.

Prehistoric species are a valuable asset, so dinosaur rustling and black market trading has become a profitable industry. Rustlers will intermittently attempt to break into your facility to steal the prehistoric species under your protection. It’s your job to fend off these attacks using any means at your disposal. Floodlights, cameras, and watchtowers will help you discover and tag rustler vehicles when they attack, while flashbangs can put the drivers out of commission for a few seconds. Another solution is to hop into a Ranger Vehicle and ram them to scare them off, or see if a dinosaur is able to do the job for you!

While you build and expand the facility, the DFW will be intermittently transporting new species to the ranch, eventually turning it into a destination for people to come and experience living dinosaurs. Rustlers will still be an issue, however, so keep an eye out whenever night falls and keep your dinosaurs safe!

Welcome Park Managers, to a new Park Management Guide,

The release of the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion is just around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited! We hope you’ve been enjoying all the new information we’ve been releasing since the announcement. Today we’re delivering a Park Management Guide focused on the Biosyn themed buildings and some of the gameplay features you’ll find in the new expansion.

Biosyn Research Compound
A major part of the expansion is the new campaign levels, where you will be working with Lewis Dodgson (Voiced by Campbell Scott) to build operations of Biosyn Valley to help usher them into the future. This involves working tirelessly to build dinosaur genomes and synthesise feathered dinosaurs, as well as building and improving the compound as you play.

The jewel in Biosyn’s crown is their Valley Research Compound, a state of the art facility built for research and development. As you progress through the campaign you will help construct the compound, unlocking new Research trees as you go. You will not only gain access to new upgrades, but this growth can also be seen on the outside of the facility, which changes and grows to showcase your progress.

You’ll also need to help create Biosyn’s supply of dinosaur genomes. To do that, you need to dig!

Amber Mines
The location of Biosyn’s research compound in the Campaign isn’t by chance! The compound sits on top of a network of mines that Biosyn is working to dig out and explore. The amber mines are formed from layers of prehistoric forest that have trapped chunks of amber formed from tree sap. The valley’s natural water sources helped form the caverns that make up the different areas in the mine, eroding the stone and collecting amber at various deposits throughout the mines. These pieces of amber contain vast amounts of dinosaur DNA, which can be extracted to build dinosaur genomes.

Your Scientists will head down into the mines on Expeditions. At first only a few deposits will be available, while others can be unearthed by uncovering mining facilities throughout the cavern. Expect to see plenty of familiar species, as well as some new, feathered species you may not have seen in this game before. There may also be pieces of pure amber located in the mines, which can be sold for a small profit.

Biosyn Themed Buildings
As part of the DLC, we’re also adding in new Biosyn themed buildings for use in Campaign and Sandbox Mode. In the Campaign, research is conducted from the main Research Compound, but the rest of Biosyn’s operations are handled by specialised buildings. A Control Centre will help you keep everything running smoothly, while the Biosyn Fossil Centre extracts DNA from the amber or fossils your scientists bring back from the Expedition Centre. While you’ll be sending them out on Amber Expeditions in the campaign, they’ll be going on regular expeditions for fossils around the world during Sandbox Mode play.

Staff will need a Staff Centre to rest, while Emergency Shelters will let everyone run to safety in the case of a dinosaur breakout or weather calamity. Hatcheries, Response Facilities and Paleo-Medical Facilities will also come in Biosyn themed livery.

DFW buildings will be integrated into the Biosyn building set in Sandbox, as there aren’t Biosyn themed Lagoons or Aviaries, for example. The Research Compound will also be available as a static feature in Sandbox Mode if you’re using the Biosyn Valley map with Normal Terrain settings in Sandbox Mode. It will function as the maps’s arrival point and Science Centre.

The Hyper Loop
While the Research Compound is the heart of Biosyn Valley, the Hyper Loop Transport system is its cardiovascular system. Connecting the various Operations buildings is done with a combination of paths and Hyper Loop tunnels. Biosyn buildings that have Hyper Loop connection points can only connect to each other, but the Control Centre works as a go-between for the two types of buildings. Operations buildings will connect to the Control Centre via paths, and the Control Centre connects to other buildings via Hyper Loop, to name one example. The Hyper Loop itself functions as an underground train network that transfers people back and forth. It also helps transport power to buildings it’s connected to.

Power is supplied by Biosyn’s Hydro Power Hub. It outputs a steady flow of power into the Hyper Loop, but also generates a radius of power wherever it’s placed, letting you use it in conjunction with Power Repeaters to spread electricity to other parts of the park not connected to a Hyper Loop. You can also use Backup Generators in a pinch if needed.

A properly connected Hyper Loop will provide a high Transport Rating to the facility, and you can absolutely use them in Sandbox Mode as a form of park transportation.

Research Outposts
To keep an eye on their dinosaurs Biosyn uses Research Outposts that are placed within a dinosaur enclosure. These serve as viewing platforms, offering a full 360 degree view of any species outside the tower. Research Outposts connect to the rest of the Biosyn buildings using the Hyperloop, giving Biosyn employees immediate and discreet access to the prehistoric species. The platform can also be raised or lowered, depending on how the researchers want to observe the dinosaurs.

Research Outposts serve their purpose the best if they’re placed directly within an enclosure, or when surrounded by multiple enclosures.

Invisible Fences
Dinosaur enclosures work the way you’re used to, but with a twist: Biosyn uses invisible fences. These are placed and built like regular fences, but have the added benefit of being impossible to be broken or climbed by dinosaurs. While the invisible fences are powered they are impenetrable. If power goes away, your dinosaurs are free to cross the barriers and can roam across your parks, wreaking havoc. In addition to invisible fences, invisible gates will also be available. These will allow you to move dinosaurs through invisible fences on purpose using the new wrangling mechanic.

These invisible fences will also be available to use in Sandbox Mode, along with the Biosyn themed buildings.

Defences Against Dinosaur Rustlers
While you’re diligently working to provide a safe haven for runaway dinosaurs in the new Chaos Theory level, there are less savory individuals who have other plans for the dinosaurs. These dinosaurs rustlers will intermittently attack the dinosaur ranch in an attempt to steal your dinosaurs. Your objective is to fend off the rustlers and lose as few dinosaurs as possible by erecting floodlights, building watchtowers, and intercepting their vehicles to force them to retreat.

Careful use of aggressive dinosaurs could cause enough damage to rustler vehicles to make them reconsider their actions, but it might not be the best idea to use a wolf as a sheepdog!

Keep in mind that these buildings are only available in the Chaos Theory level.

Dinosaur Wrangling
We also wanted to briefly touch on a new gameplay mechanic introduced in the free update releasing alongside the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion. While this is included in the free update, it is also a central part of the new Chaos Theory level, which is inspired by the events of Jurassic World Dominion.

While you previously needed to tranquilise dinosaurs in order to move, dinosaur wrangling presents an alternate way to move dinosaurs to new locations. Your Ranger Teams will be in charge of dinosaur wrangling, which can be done through directly controlling the Ranger Team vehicle. Using specialised whistles, they can summon dinosaurs to their vehicle, and subsequently send them off in a new direction as a group. Circle indicators will tell you exactly where you’re sending the dinosaurs.
Using this new mechanic you can more directly herd groups of dinosaurs from one area to another. Gates will open automatically when herded dinosaurs are nearby, so you can quickly move a group of dinosaurs into a new enclosure by wrangling them. It will work with both herbivores and carnivores, and your Velociraptors will obey just as easily as a Parasaurolophus.

In this series of articles, we’re spotlighting some of the incredible dinosaurs and reptiles coming to Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion [forums.frontier.co.uk] on 14th of June. We are incredibly excited about everything we have to share in the coming days, and we hope you are too!

Last week we took a look at one of the land dinosaurs coming to the game with the new DLC: Pyroraptor. This week we’re taking to the skies to check out a true titan, one of the largest known flying animals of all time: Quetzalcoatlus.

Named after the Aztec feathered serpent god, Quetzalcoatl, the first fossils of this feathered flier were discovered in Texas in 1971 by geology student Douglas Lawson. The specimen found there was believed to have had a massive wingspan, and later estimates have concluded that Quetzalcoatlus could have been the size of a Cessna light aircraft whilst in flight, or the size of a giraffe when walking on the ground. Due to its sheer size, it may have needed to jump up to 2.5 metres into the air in order to take flight with its powerful wings.

Once in the air it’s believed it flew similarly to modern condors or vultures, climbing on warm currents and using their massive wings to glide in the air, rather than actively beating their wings to fly and maintain height.

In Jurassic World Evolution 2, Quetzalcoatlus will be housed in Aviaries alongside other flying reptiles. Given their size you’ll need several Aviary buildings to meet their spatial requirements, but they can get along with other flying reptiles they share a territory with. Whilst generally peaceful, they won’t hesitate to break out if they get uncomfortable in their area. Make sure they have enough open space, some sand and rocky ground underneath their feet, and enough food and water, and they shouldn’t give you too much trouble.

Their diet will consist of fish, but escaped Quetzalcoatlus may also try to eat unsuspecting smaller dinosaurs (or maybe a guest or two). It’s wise to keep a Capture Team ready in case there’s a breakout! You may also see them perching on top of buildings if they get tired from all that flying.

Please be aware that Quetzalcoatlus won’t be available in the expansion’s Campaign levels, but will be available in Sandbox Mode!

In this series of articles, we’re spotlighting some of the incredible dinosaurs and reptiles coming to Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion later this year. We are incredibly excited about everything we have to share in the coming days.

This week’s entry is a dinosaur that’s new to both Jurassic World Evolution 2 and the Jurassic World universe as a whole. This Late Cretaceous paravian dinosaur is characterised by its beautiful, bright red plumage, and is a long distant cousin of the Velociraptor. Say hello to Pyroraptor:

The Pyroraptor is a relatively recent discovery, first found in Provence, France, in 1992. A single partial specimen was found after a forest fire at the foot of Mont Olympe, which in turn gave it its name, which means «Fire Thief». Luckily, these bones were enough to give scientists a good idea of what the dinosaur could have looked like, estimating it to be a small, bird-like predatory theropod with well-developed forelimbs and large curved claws on each foot. The claws were likely used as weapons, against both prey and predators.

Its bird-like body is adorned with a bright red plume of feathers, which spreads out along its back and arms. The feathering continues down the dinosaur’s spine, ending in a set of blueish-grey tail feathers that enhances its avian appearance.

Much like its distant cousin, Pyroraptor is a social animal preferring to be surrounded by at least a few others of the same species. Leaving one alone in an enclosure is a sure-fire way to ensure it will eventually escape and cause havoc in your park. Being carnivores, they won’t hesitate to go after your guests if they can, and they’ll rarely get along with other carnivores. They’re best kept to themselves in a group, without anyone else to disturb their territory.

In terms of environmental needs, your Pyroraptors will mainly need a fair bit of open space, with some forest coverage. They’ll also need prey to hunt, as well as water to drink. Make sure you care for these new additions to your parks and they will surely attract guests from both near and far!

You’ll also be working alongside familiar and iconic characters from across the franchise, including Claire Dearing (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard), Dr. Alan Grant (voiced by Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (voiced by Laura Dern), and Lewis Dodgson (voiced by Campbell Scott).

New Chaos Theory Level
In addition to the new campaign, the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion also adds a brand new Chaos Theory level to the game where you work to protect dinosaurs at a snowy Sierra Nevada range, in a level inspired by the events of Jurassic World Dominion. The new dinosaur-wrangling mechanic can be used to corral herds of dinosaurs quickly, without the need for tranquilisation or a transport team. As your ranch grows larger, dinosaur rustlers will break in to steal the dinosaurs you’re trying to care for. You’ll have to build out your security measures to detect intruders and perimeter breaches, and intercept their vehicles before they can make away with your dinosaurs.

Update 3
There is plenty to sink your teeth, claws and talons into in the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion. Alongside this DLC we’re also releasing Update 3, a free update for everyone who owns Jurassic World Evolution 2. This update will include several new features and mechanics, as well as bug fixes and quality of life changes.

Dinosaur Wrangling
Dinosaur wrangling is a core part of the new Chaos Theory level, but it will also be available to use in other modes. This is a way for you to move dinosaurs around without needing to tranquilise them and call in a transport helicopter. Wrangling dinosaurs is done in a Ranger Vehicle and will let you move herds of dinosaurs from point A to B.

Park Tour changes
Your Park Tours will also get a few upgrades with Update 3. We’re very happy to announce that Park Tours will now function as transport, letting you connect separate areas of the park and improve your transport rating with a single connected tour. You’ll also be able to increase the number of vehicles based on Tour length, and even adjust the distance between them. Finally, we’re adding tour binoculars for all vehicles, further increasing the viewing radius of all Tours. We’re also adding in a new DFW tour, so all eras will have access to a Tour in Sandbox Mode.

Transport changes
While dinosaur wrangling will let you move multiple dinosaurs at once while on land, we’re also adding in a way to move multiple dinosaurs using transport helicopters with Update 3. Your dinosaurs will be grouped per species, and you’ll able to see the order in which they’ll be moved by your transport team.

Quality of Life changes
Last, but certainly not least, let’s talk a bit about the quality of life changes we’re rolling out with Update 3. We’re adding in new contracts, as well as changing up some of the contracts already in the game. You may also encounter contracts that carry great risks, but also bigger rewards. These deals could go wrong, so be careful when accepting them!

There will be more quality of life changes, as well as bug fixes, in the full patch notes coming out on 14 June.

Jurassic World Evolution 2

Jurassic World Evolution 2 сделана по мотивам киновселенной «Парк юрского периода». Показанные тут события происходят после завершения истории, показанной в оригинальном втором фильме. В игре можно встретить персонажей с большого экрана. К примеру, тут есть Клэр Диринг и Ян Малкольм. В видеоигровой адаптации пользователю отводится роль директора парка с динозаврами. Как и в предшественнике, в сиквеле надо налаживать инфраструктуру, ловить и выращивать ящеров, создавать условия содержания и зарабатывать деньги на туристах. Количество доисторических рептилий возросло до 75 единиц. Среди них есть сухопутные, летающие и морские особи. Необходимо кормить их и следить за здоровьем. Если этого не делать, то недовольные животные могут вырваться из вольеров и начать сеять хаос.

В Jurassic World Evolution 2 разработчики добавили много мелких изменений. Появился микроменеджмент. Теперь игрок может нанимать персонал и управлять им. Сотрудники требуют разную оплату и различаются профессионализмом. О каждом работнике нужно вручную заботиться. Изменились прихоти клиентов. Посетители отныне поделены на группы, и у каждой из них свои желания. Юзер может попытаться угодить всем подряд или сосредоточить внимание на конкретной аудитории. В этом тайкуне появились элементы экшена и гонок. Поэтому процесс ловли динозавров стал более полноценным. Геймер может в такие моменты кататься на машинах и летать на вертолетах.

Ещё появились природные катаклизмы. Теперь внезапно случаются мощные торнадо, серьезные снегопады и сильные бури. Во время непогоды надо быстро действовать и оперативно решать проблемы. К примеру, спасать ученых. В противном случае юзеру придется заново прокачивать своих подопечных. Помимо этого в сиквеле улучшилось разнообразие карт. На смену архипелагу из оригинала пришли страны, расположенные в различных уголках земного шара. Тайтл рассчитан на одиночное прохождение. Сингл состоит из режима песочницы и сюжетной кампании. Она поделена на 7 сценариев и включает в себя обучение. Для тех, кто не знаком с киновселенной, в повествовании есть краткие объяснения лора.

Фильм Стивена Спилберга «Парк Юрского периода» (Jurassic Park) заслуженно считается классикой мирового кинематографа. А на игрушечных динозаврах выросло не одно поколение детей.

Неудивительно, что вышедшая в 2018 году игра Jurassic World Evolution от студии Frontier Developments нашла свою аудиторию. Разработчики предложили аудитории создать свой парк мечты с древними ящерами, которые выглядели просто умопомрачительно.

Впрочем, часть игроков жаловалась на то, что в угоду динозаврам экономические аспекты были сильно урезаны. Претензия была справедливой, ибо закусочные и магазины приносили копейки. Основной доход формировался за счет продажи окаменелостей и самих ящеров на черном рынке, а также благодаря. гладиаторским боям. Посетители парка требовали зрелищ, а схватка между тираннозавром и каким-нибудь трицератопсом генерировала солидные прибыли.

В Jurassic World Evolution 2 британцы постарались учесть пожелания фанатов. Фундамент тайкуна не изменился, однако разработчики постарались расширить функционал за счет охапки деталей.

Редакция GameMAG.ru получила возможность поиграть в демонстрационную версию игры. Время было ограничено, но предварительные выводы можно сделать.

События новой игры разворачиваются на границе США и Канады после финала фильма «Мир Юрского периода 2» (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom). Динозавры вырвались на свободу, а человечеству приходится с этим смириться. Птеродактили парят в небесах, трицератопсы пасутся на полях, а карнозавры пытаются кого-нибудь сожрать. Для ликвидации угрозы в ЦРУ создается отдел по борьбе с опасными животными, который следит за рептилиями и занимается их отловом.

В рамках Сюжетной кампании мы опробовали одну миссию в штате Вашингтон. Из-за плохой погоды загон для динозавров остается без электричества. Это дало возможность карнозаврам прорвать ограждение и вырваться на свободу.

Карты в оригинальной игре были довольно просторными, но имелись определенные ограничения. В сиквеле доступен огромный кусок лесного массива, по которому разрешено колесить на автомобиле в поисках следов ящеров. Найдя нужного, необходимо вызвать вертолет и усыпить цель, после чего отправить особь в вольер. Концепция выглядит интересно, хотя за время пресс-показа в полной мере ознакомиться с нею не удалось.

Второй доступный режим — это «Испытание», под которым скрывается переработанный стандартный режим Jurassic World Evolution. Задача проста: игроку предоставляют территорию, на которой необходимо построить парк развлечений/исследовательский центр и выполнять различные задания (увеличить число туристов, поднять доходы, вырастить нескольких динозавров определенного вида и так далее), чтобы в итоге получить пятизвездочный рейтинг.

Основа геймплея осталось неизменной: игрок огораживает территорию, строит здания, исследовательские центры, магазинчики, трибуны, центр клонирования, выращивает динозавров и так далее. Однако во Frontier Developments постарались упростить рутину.

Теперь можно возвести аванпост, прикрепив к нему команду рейнджеров. Благодаря этому они будут в автоматическом режиме проверять здоровье динозавров и выполнять другие задачи.

Сами ящеры стали более капризными. Теперь необходимо учитывать качество земельного участка. Тем же карнозаврам нужен лиственный покров для комфорта. Решить проблему можно благодаря расширенному функционалу системы терраформирования.

В финальной версии игры также будут доступны традиционная Песочница и новый режим «Теория Хаоса«, в котором будут воссозданы культовые моменты из фильмов.

Графически игра стала выглядеть лучше, хотя по скриншотам это сложно сказать (играли мы через стриминговый сервис Parsec со всеми вытекающими). Frontier Developments серьезно прокачала погодные эффекты, благодаря чему теперь на карте может выпадать снег, что выглядит весьма живописно.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 — это логичное продолжение первой части. Хотя время геймплейной сессии было ограничено, увиденное внушает оптимизм. Разработчики явно восприняли всерьез критику, но не стали менять проверенную формулу. Поэтому фанатам динозавров стоит начать откладывать деньги и зачеркивать дни в календаре.

Релиз игры состоится 9 ноября 2021 года на PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 и PS5.

The Jurassic World Evolution: Herbivore Dinosaur Pack adds sociable plant eaters that are a great addition to any vibrant park.

Nigersaurus

One of the smallest Sauropods, they measure around 9 meters long. Despite their long neck, Nigersaurus are browsers, feeding from plants close to the ground.

Homalocephale

With a name that means ‘even head’, Homalocephale sports a flat, thickened, wedge-shaped skull used as a tool for head-butting.

Dryosaurus

Like its predecessor, Evolution 2 is a park building simulation, in which players must build and manage their own Jurassic World theme park, with greater levels of customisation and more realistic animal behaviours. In addition to dinosaurs, Evolution 2 also includes the highly requested addition of both pterosaurs and marine reptiles.

The game features a campaign mode based following the events of the 2018 film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, in which players must contain and conserve dinosaurs and other prehistoric species, while working alongside characters from the film franchise including Claire Dearing and Ian Malcolm. The campaign takes place beyond Isla Nublar and the Muertes Archipelago and in a number of environments from across the world, each with its own unique challenges.

In addition to the story campaign, Sandbox Mode and Challenge Mode return from the first Evolution, along with the new Chaos Theory Mode, in which players are challenged with various «what-if» scenarios from all five movies of the Jurassic franchise.

Gameplay

Game Modes

Evolution 2 has four Game Modes, Campaign Mode, Challenge Mode, Sandbox Mode and the new Chaos Theory Mode. The narrative Campaign mode includes actors from the Jurassic film franchise, such as Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing. In the campaign, players are tasked with conserving and containing prehistoric animals in a variety of environments across the world, set after the cataclysmic events of the 2018 film Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. [2]

Challenge Mode returns in Evolution 2, with four difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, Hard and Jurassic. Challenge Mode features new conditions which place constraints on the game, such as limiting the number of species allowed on a particular map, as well as bespoke challenges with tasks unique to each level. [3] Like the first game, players earn unique species cosmetics by achieving five stars on each difficulty level. [3]

The game also features the return of Sandbox Mode, which offers players unlimited freedom to create the park of their dreams. These freedoms include unlimited money, the ability to adjust the weather and the time of day and modify the behaviour of the animals in the park. [3] Maps from the Campaign, Challenge Mode and Chaos Theory are available to use in Sandbox, though content must first be unlocked through research in the other modes. [3]

A major new addition to the series is Chaos Theory mode, which allows players to experience key moments from each movie in the franchise, with each level set in a different era and location from the movies. [2]

Park Customisation

Like its predecessor, Evolution 2 tasks players with creating their own theme park, populating it with prehistoric species from around the world and ensuring that they remain safely contained away from the park’s visitors. The game’s setting is more diverse than its predecessor, with players able to build their park in a variety of new environments, from alpine forested areas, to scorching deserts. Each of these new biomes offer players new challenges to build their parks, such as snowstorms in cold environments, which cover the entire park with snow. [2] [4]

Park customisation has improved from the first game, with players able to construct and customise buildings in a variety of ways, from their colour to the amenities offered to guests. [2] Guest buildings can be fully customised, including the physical characteristics of the building itself, to decorations such as trees, skeletons and flags to improve the area around it. [4] Standalone decorations, such as tables, chairs, lights and plants can also be placed around the park. [5]

Guest buildings are split into two main types: Amenities and Attractions. Amenities can be fully customised, both internally and externally, with internal modifications allowing the player to cater the building for each type of quest and ultimately maximise profits. [5] The building’s exterior can also be modified, from its colour, decorations, signage and entrance styles. [5]

All of the available maps in Evolution 2 are considerably larger than those of the first game, allowing players to create expansive reserves containing many different prehistoric animals and facilities. [4] Enclosure design has also been improved, with greater levels of customisation, allowing players to use both paint brush tools and individually placed foliage and rocks to expand on each exhibit. This extends to Aviaries, which can be customised to the same level. [4]

Guests have been significantly improved from the first game, with guest moods divided into four categories: General, Adventure, Nature and Luxury. Each guest type will gravitate toward areas which suit their interests, with adventurous guests particularly interested in carnivorous dinosaurs. [4] The number of guests of each group can be seen in the Management screen, allowing the player to tailor their amenities and attractions to cater for each group. [6]

Scientists are a new addition to Evolution 2, which can be hired to oversee the creation of modification of the extinct animals. Scientists have individual traits and bonuses, and can be tasked with various jobs in the park. If a scientist becomes overworked, they may attempt to sabotage the park. [6]

Prehistoric animals

Marine reptiles, such as Mosasaurus, are a new addition to the Evolution series.

At launch, Evolution 2 will feature over 75 species of prehistoric animals, many of which will be returning dinosaurs from the previous game, such as Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops and Brachiosaurus. [7] As well as new dinosaurs, such as Amargasaurus and Coelophysis, Evolution 2 also includes the highly requested addition of both pterosaurs, such as Pteranodon and Dimorphodon, and marine reptiles such as Mosasaurus. [2]

Animal behaviour and welfare

Animals in Evolution 2 react intelligently to the world around them to a greater degree than in the first game, and have new animations and behaviours in their interactions with other animals and their environment. [2] In the new territory system, animals explore their environment and settle in a habitat which suits their needs, claiming it as their own. Territories belonging to different species of dinosaur can exist within the same enclosure, which displays as a white outline on the ground, changing dynamically based on the dinosaur’s changing needs. While many species can coexist harmoniously, others can come into conflict if their territories overlap. [4]

Herbivores no longer require feeders, and instead feed on different types of foliage, with each species having their own preference. [4]

Hunting and combat is more dynamic than the first game, with certain species, such as Velociraptor being able to hunt in packs to take down larger prey, while the «face-off» system used in the first game has similarly been removed. [4] Prey animals are also able to escape predators, though may need to treated by a veterinary unit. [8]

Animal welfare has also been expanded, with the addition of the Paleo-Medical Facility, where dinosaurs can be transported if they cannot be treated in their own enclosure. This facility also includes a Mobile Veterinary Unit, which can be directly controlled by the player. [4] In order to keep track of each animal’s health and happiness, players can build a Ranger Post, which can be placed in an enclosure to perform welfare checks on all animals in the enclosure. [4]

Like the first game, animals can escape from their enclosure if their needs are not met, a behavior which now extends to pterosaurs, such as Pteranodon, which can break out of their aviary and cause chaos around the park, requiring the player to dispatch ranger teams to track them down. [4]

Genetic modification

In Evolution 2, genetic material for each species is found through expeditions to dig-sites, and obtained by extracting fossils. Rather than incubating one animal at a time, players can now incubate an entire clutch of eggs, and alter their behaviour by tweaking the DNA of each individual. Additionally, each species has seven unique patterns, with roughly twelve different colours which players can apply. When the animals have finished incubating, they can be released simultaneously from the Lab. [4] The ability to release several animals simultaneously allows players to populate their parks far more quickly. [8]

Players can also Remote Release animals directly from a hatchery to a different area of the map, allowing for more efficient park designs. Other modes will include wild animals roaming the map, requiring players to create enclosures to suit their needs. [8]

Release

Evolution 2 is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 9, 2021. Players who pre-ordered any version of the game before the November 9th will receive three unique vehicle skins inspired by 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park to use across their Ranger Team, Capture Team, and Mobile Vet Unit teams in Challenge and Sandbox modes. Editions

Alongside the standard edition, the Deluxe Edition of Evolution 2 was announced to be released on the same day. It consists of the base game and the Deluxe Upgrade Pack which adds five additional prehistoric animals including marine and flying reptiles, six unique building signs, and three vehicle skins inspired by the Dinosaur Protection Group to use in Sandbox and Challenge Modes. На днях в базе данных Steam было обнаружено дополнение для Jurassic World Evolution 2. Сегодня разработчики подтвердили утечку, официально представив контент под названием Dominion Biosyn Expansion.

Обзор Jurassic World Evolution 2. Добротный тайкун, в который вы не захотите играть во второй раз

Все любят динозавров. В детстве у каждого мальчишки было несколько игрушек древних ящеров разной степени достоверности. Они, как правило, большие, зубастые и готовы всех вокруг сожрать (если речь идет о хищниках, разумеется), чем в первую очередь детей и привлекают. Поэтому неудивительно, что «парки» и «миры» Юрского периода нашли теплый отклик в сердцах людей, несмотря на существенную разницу в годах выпуска. Вспомнить о нежных детстких чувствах к огромным злобным рептилиям можно в тайкуне Jurassic World Evolution 2 — здесь нужно построить целый парк аттракционов с динозаврами имени себя.

Динозавры — это круто, no discuss. Еще круче, когда эти доисторические твари появляются в видеоиграх, где нам позволяют с ними каким-либо образом взаимодействовать. На ум первым делом приходят нестареющие Dino Crisis и Turok, но там ящеров нужно было всячески отстреливать, а в игре-виновнике сегодняшнего обзора нужно, наоборот, любыми способами динозаврам жизнь продлевать.

Думаю, нет смысла лить воду и подробно рассказывать, что собой представляет основоположник вселенной «Юрского периода». Но и не упоминать первоисточники тоже не получится, так как игра — сюжетный продолжатель оригинальных фильмов. В этой вселенной человеки вывели настоящих динозавров, но те оказались не согласны сидеть по загонам и разбрелись по всему земному шару, слившись с современной фауной.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 — это тайкун со всеми вытекающими отсюда последствиями. Экономическая стратегия, симулятор парка аттракционов, если коротко. Основа любых игр этого жанра — создание жизнеспособного бизнеса, в котором сам парк не деградирует, а посетителям все нравится, и они приносят владельцам прибыль. JWE 2 — это стандартный тайкун, но со своими весьма интересными особенностями, благодаря которым игра в некоторые моменты из экономического симулятора может превращаться, например, в аркадные покатушки на машинах или даже упрощенный авиасимулятор, совмещенный с тир-шутером.

Вот, собственно, и все описание как этой игры, так и предыдущей части, но есть определенное количество нюансов, которые делают и JWE 2 и всю серию в целом в некоторой степени уникальной. Хотя, «продолжением» первой игры Jurassic World Evolution 2 назвать если и можно, то с большой натяжкой. Скорее это большой и качественный апгрейд предшественницы. Первая часть, без сомнения, была неплохой игрой, но минусов в ней хватало: сообщество заваливало разработчиков письмами с просьбами поправить то одно, то другое. И разработчики (о, чудо!) услышали игроков, воплотив большинство их пожеланий в продолжении. Что из этого получилось, что поменялось — давайте выяснять.

Сам геймплей в своей основе остался практически без изменений. Игрок начинает с определенным бюджетом, строит первые здания и загоны, помещает в них ящеров, запускает на обзорные площадки посетителей и продолжает в том же темпе, пока не выполнятся определенные задания или не станет скучно. Вроде бы все так же, как и раньше, и сначала даже может показаться, что вы дважды заплатили за одну и ту же игру. Но чем дальше заходит процесс — тем очевиднее становится, что разработчики действительно перекроили свое детище вдоль и поперек, не оставив нетронутым практически ни один аспект проекта. Но перекроили так скромно и робко, что большинство изменений нельзя назвать глобальными.

На следующей неделе Jurassic World Evolution 2 получит платное дополнение и первое обновление

Чуть больше трех недель прошло с релиза управленческого симулятора Jurassic World Evolution 2, который, к сожалению, не оправдал надежды разработчика Frontier Developments, но несмотря на это, студия продолжит поддерживать игру и анонсировала для нее первое платное дополнение «Early Cretaceous Pack» с 4 новыми видами динозавров: Кронозавр, Джунгариптер, Минми и Вуерозавр.

Вместе с этим DLC игроков также ждет первое обновление с новыми игровыми картами, строительными сетами, каменными насестами для летающих рептилий, исправлением ошибок и несколькими улучшениями для более приятной игры. Более подробный список нововведений и изменений представлен ниже:

Релиз платного дополнения «Early Cretaceous Pack» и первого обновления состоится 9 декабря для всех платформ, на которых доступна Jurassic World Evolution 2.

Слух: Jurassic World Evolution 2 из Game Pass вскоре получит первое DLC

Похоже, что игра Jurassic World Evolution 2, которая на днях стала частью подписки Game Pass, в ближайшие недели получит DLC под названием Dominion Biosyn Expansion. Такое дополнение для проекта было обнаружено в базе данных Steam с датой выпуска 14 июня 2022 года. Информация о том, что конкретно ждет игроков в дополнении, пока отсутствует.

Стоит отметить, что DLC Dominion Biosyn Expansion вероятно будет связано с фильмом «Мир Юрского периода: Господство» (Jurassic World Dominion), который выходит тоже в середине июня. Стоит сказать, что «Biosyn» — это компания, которая ранее фигурировала во франшизе, и дополнение как-то может быть с ней связано.

Судя по всему, Dominion Biosyn Expansion станет первым крупным DLC для Jurassic World Evolution 2, ранее игра получала только небольшие косметические пакеты.

Кампания Jurassic World Evolution 2 предлагает игроку взять на себя роль управляющего в парке аттракционов. События происходят в мире Юрского периода, и по ходу прохождения геймер встретит героев фильмов. В парке, которым управляет главный герой, зрителям демонстрируют динозавров. В игре присутствует более 75 биологических видов. Игровой процесс состоит в том, чтобы следить за успешностью, популярностью и посещаемостью парка. Также нужно управлять ресурсами и следить за безопасностью посетителей.

Для каждого динозавра необходимы уникальные условия обитания. Например, уход за плотоядными тираннозаврами и травоядными анкилозаврами будет сильно отличаться. Также хищники будут более склонны нападать на своих соседей по загону. Кроме наземных животных, в стратегии можно найти водные и летающие виды. Помимо вольеров также протагонист в Jurassic World Evolution 2 может возводить другие здания. Среди них – метеорологические вышки, медпункты и посты для разведчиков. Для развлечения клиентов можно установить боулинг, кинотеатр и рестораны. Часть финансов в симуляторе будет уходить на ученых, экспертов по палеонтологии и генетике. Они выполняют множество ролей, известных игрокам еще по фильмам серии. Это такие занятия, как раскопки, манипуляции с ДНК и медицина для динозавров.

Кто-то вообще любит игры про *ПОДСТАВЬ ЧТО УГОДНО*?

Если игру грамотно сделать, то почему бы и нет.

На Сеге была топовая версия Затерянного мира на двоих, с видом сверху, различным транспортом и некоторыми миссиями от первого лица.

Помню как эту херню на четырёх или пяти дисках устанавливал. А потом застрял на миссии где нужно было драться против двух динозавров потому что не допёр что глотки им нужно разрывать на колёсико мышки.

Тут проще спросить кто их не любит.

Было бы круто, если бы нормальный тайкун получился бы, а не рельсовый тайм-менеджер как в первой части.

Впрочем, ценник указывает на второе.
Нормальные песочницы у фронтиров дороже.

Сыграл в демку первой, она прям сильно впечатлила, купил всю с дополнениями. И.. меня хватило часа на два. Там как таковой нет игры. Нечего организовывать или контролировать. Ты просто строишь вольеры, развлекухи и гостиницы и смотришь, как динозавры красиво нарисованы и анимированы. Походу, вторая часть будет тоже самое, только в новых декорациях.

Да, в первой части из интересного — только посмотреть на динозавров.
Геймплей же хуже, чем в играх эпохи MS-DOS =\
Я тоже после пары часов разочаровался.

Потом все равно наделают кучу дополнений, которые превратят игру в полную версию, и уйдет она в полноценный 4к гейминг

не факт, elite dangerous от того же разработчика изначально у нас стоила очень дорого, как и первое дополнение (что-то порядка 3к за ваниллу и 3к за дополнение), а майское дополнение в этом году внезапно сделали в СНГ за 700р (все сначала тоже думали, что баг), хотя цена на западе не снижалась. Возможно, ребята оценивают коммерческую выгоду стратегии продавать подешевле, но побольше.

А чо там во второй части можно новое придумать?

Там игра будет связана с 3м фильмом. Где динозавры уже выбрались из островов, и разбрелись по всему миру, и теперь их никто не контролирует. (Скорее всего в игры это мы и попытаемся сделать).

Чо за бред, это же тайкун, а не шутер.

Нового у них биомы,водные рептилии и орнитоптеры в более интересных вальерах.Научили заодно ии как то симулировать жизнь и охоту(стайную в том числе),видимо работа над Планет Зоо помогла.Персонал переработали и работу с ним.Агресивность животных.Вообщем по сути это скорее огромный аддон к первой части.Но я купил,мне нравится хоть и как тайкун она средненькая будет скорее всего и уступит тому же Планет Зоо.

Jurassic World Evolution 2

В базе данных Steam отыскали название нового дополнения для Jurassic World Evolution 2. Оно называется Dominion Biosyn Expansion и, скорее всего, будет связано с грядущим фильмом «Мир Юрского Периода: Господство».

Если верить утечке, релиз дополнения состоится 14 июня. Что конкретно войдет в DLC, пока неясно. До этого игра получила два небольших контентных набора, но в сети предполагают, что Dominion Biosyn может стать первым крупным расширением.

Премьера «Господства» ожидается 9 июня. Доберется ли фильм до России, пока неясно, но Universal обновила график релизов, согласно которому картина выйдет 16 июня.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 доступна на PC и всех консолях, кроме Nintendo Switch.

Similar to that family’s most famous member, Stegosaurus, the Wuerhosaurus uses brutal tail spikes as a defence against any potential predators, but its squatter stance sees it sit much lower to the ground in order to feed on vegetation and undergrowth.

Jurassic World Dominion – завершение новой трилогии во вселенной Парка Юрского периода, которое скоро появится в кинотеатрах. Мир расширят специальной кампанией в стратегии Jurassic World Evolution 2.

Frontier Developments почти идеально развила оригинальную концепцию, известную по первой Jurassic World Evolution, и в «двойке» стала ещё ярче. 14 июня в новой игре появится крупное DLC, вдохновленное событиями из фильма «Мир Юрского Периода: Господство». Игроки создадут собственный исследовательский центр Biosyn, работающий над ДНК динозавров.

События связаны с фильмом, поэтому в игре появятся такие персонажи, как Клэр Диринг (Брайс Даллас Ховард), доктор Алан Грант (Сэм Нилл), доктор Элли Саттлер (Лора Дерн) и Льюис Доджсон (Кэмпбелл Скотт). Обзор Jurassic World Evolution 2. Повод заново полюбить динозавров

Суть Jurassic World Evolution 2 и основа игровой механики со времен первой части ничуть не изменились. Это неспешная и довольно глубокая экономическая стратегия с полным набором привычных для жанра опций. Мы занимаемся обустройством территории, развитием инфраструктуру и радостно следим за увеличением цифр на счету. Это видано уже много раз с самыми разными вариациями, от платного пляжа до космической базы. Но в Jurassic World Evolution 2 есть то, чего в прочих тайкунах так не хватает. Здесь есть перчинка, есть вызов и есть необходимая для любой игры острота. Ведь мы занимаемся динозаврами.

Игра достойна внимания из-за серьезности подхода. Никаких пошлых элементов хоррора и кровавых пятен на декорациях. Здесь живут почти настоящие динозавры.

Что нового в мире Юрского периода?

Те камрады, что знакомы с первой Jurassic World Evolution, сразу заметят явный недостаток продолжения. Вторая серия напоминает первую чаще, чем это принято у хорошо воспитанных разработчиков.

Если сравнивать обе игры без предварительной подготовки, то первую и вторую части можно попросту принять за одну игру. Тот же уровень графики, те же основные механики. Тот же интерфейс! Но дьявол в деталях, как говорят атеисты.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 выросла в размерах, стала богаче контентом. Если в первой игре мы наблюдали 42 вида динозавров, то во второй мы будем иметь дело с более чем 70 видами.

Вам нравится тема динозавров?

Неплохая работа проделана над недостатками оригинала. Вторая часть стала удобнее и отзывчивее, теперь меньше рутинных действий, вроде постоянного наполнения кормушек, появились удобные оповещения о любой внештатной ситуации.

В то же время во второй части легко найти недочеты первой игры. Понятно, что ИИ динозавров не должен быть на высоте. Но все наши доисторические животные удивляют игрока лишь одни трюком: динозавры при любой возможности ломают ограду и носятся по территории парка, причиняя косвенный ущерб. Хитрые охотники-велоцирапторы так и остались в кинофильмах.

Выбирайте свой парк

Да, кампания коротковата. Да, многие вспомнят избитую фразу из профильных СМИ о том, что кампания здесь выполняет роль обучения. Но, во-первых, такие слова можно сказать о каждой второй RTS. Во-вторых, кампания Jurassic World Evolution 2 не даст заскучать. Нам постоянно подбрасывают самые разные задания, моделируют сложные ситуации, посылают с миссией в разные уголки мира. Вот мы обустраиваемся в аризонских пустошах, а вот мы уже на обломках лагеря браконьеров среди лесов штата Вашингтон. Кампания радует роликами, толково написанными диалогами (актеры русской озвучки на высоте — да, так бывает) и масштабом происходящего — карты попадаются очень просторные.

Любители состязаться с таймером получили отдельный режим испытаний, где нужно завоевать определенное количество звезд для своего парка за короткое время. Но режим «Теория хаоса» получился интереснее. Нам предлагают повести известную по фильмам историю в новом, альтернативном направлении. Есть даже самый первый парк из кино 1993 года. Там мы вместе с миллионером Хэммондом будем выводить генным методом самых первых особей. И наша задача — не допустить того бардака, что случился в кинокартине.

Очень весёлая ферма

Основа геймплея — медитативная возня с животными, развитие парка, найм персонала и прочее-прочее, такие активности вы найдете в любой экономической RTS. Но здесь у нас динозавры. Они красивые, они необычные, они исправно делают Jurassic World Evolution 2 привлекательной. А неспешность процесса порой сменяется внезапными ЧП, когда по ухоженным дорожкам начинает бегать хищный аллозавр. Такой контраст идет игре только на пользу.

И если в прочих жанровых сериях, будь то Anno или SimCity, мы порхаем под облаками, обозревая наши владения с высоты, то здесь порой приходится буквально спускаться на землю. В режиме от третьего лица управляем джипами, медицинскими фургонами и даже вертолетами. Схема управления вполне себе аркадная, но в более серьезных играх, вроде Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint вертолет управлялся аналогично.

Как в любой хорошей стратегической игре, в Jurassic World Evolution 2 есть масса деталей, которые можно игнорировать, но лучше успевать везде и сразу. В кормушках может появиться зараза. Стадных животных нельзя держать поодиночке. Галерею для обзора нужно разместить так, чтобы оттуда было видно максимум интересного. Проводим грамотную сеть из дорог (особый респект разработчикам за реализацию изгибов и закруглений, прямые углы вовсе не обязательны), заказываем грузовые вертолеты для перевозки пойманных зверей, улучшаем старые постройки в нескольких направлениях. Есть даже глобальная карта, где мы отправляем на задание агентов нашей корпорации.

Где наш «Оскар» за спецэффекты?

Да, внешне игра почти не изменилась по сравнению с первой частью. Но наблюдать за процессом очень приятно.

Пейзажи хороши, погода меняется, на восходе солнечный свет очень красиво заливает верхушки деревьев, а ночные тени уползают подальше. Вот она, пастораль в лучшем виде. Но главное украшение игры — это, конечно же (еще раз повторимся), динозавры. Они разные, их много, они детализированные, они круто анимированы. И если общий звуковой фон в игре довольно обычный, то рёв хищников просто сногсшибательный. Фильм Спилберга получил «Оскар» за лучший звук, и в игре звук не хуже. Отдельно о музыке: тут вам и отличные инструментальные композиции, включая бессмертную тему Джона Уильямса (John Williams) к фильму 1993 года.
