Guide:Ceaseless Void strategies
The Ceaseless Void is a post-Moon Lord boss that is typically fought after defeating Providence, the Profaned Goddess. The Ceaseless Void will summon Dark Energies that must be destroyed for it to take damage. In addition to this, the boss only takes 1 damage (2 on a critical strike) when damaged due to its very high damage reduction, making this a rather unique boss fight. The Ceaseless Void is summoned by using the Rune of Kos in the Dungeon at any time of day.
This guide will mention items exclusive to Expert and Revengeance Mode with no special formatting and will follow the intended progression.
Contents
Terrain Preparation
Make sure you stay inside the Dungeon, since the Ceaseless Void will enrage if you stray too far outside it.
Clear out a large area in the Dungeon to fight the Ceaseless Void, since you will need room to avoid its lasers and gravitational field. If you are expanding outside the Dungeon or prefer to make your arena somewhere else, Unsafe Dungeon Walls can help you create an artificial Dungeon to either extend or create your arena.
As with any arena, life regeneration stations such as Campfires and Heart Lanterns are a must. For mages, mana regeneration stations such as the Star in a Bottle can also prove useful.
Gearing Up
Armor
Tarragon armor is the preferred choice for all classes. However, the lunar armors are still viable:
Accessories
Weapons
The weapons made from Uelibloom Bars or Bloodstone Cores are typically the best options for the fight, although pre-Providence-tier weapons are also viable. Additionally, if you have defeated the Storm Weaver and/or Signus, Envoy of the Devourer, their drops may also serve useful in this fight.

The Fight
The Ceaseless Void boss fight consists of the same cycle of attacks, which changes slightly as the Void’s health goes down.
Dark Energies become immune to knockback when below 50% / 70% / 90%
health in Normal, Revengeance and Death Mode respectively. That being said, the Dark Energies have quite high knockback immunity even when they are vulnerable to it, meaning it does not make much of a difference. Additionally, with each increase in difficulty, the Dark Energies become more aggressive, and in Revengeance Mode the swarms are also larger.
Beginning
The Ceaseless Void will begin in an invulnerable state, summoning 6 Dark Energies to attack you, while dealing contact damage and creating laser portals. Once the Dark Energies are destroyed, the boss becomes vulnerable to damage. In this stage, it is advisable to use any AoE weapons to take out the Dark Energies quickly to get make the boss vulnerable, and using your dash accessory to avoid the lasers and Dark Energies will also help.
90% Health
The Ceaseless Void will begin to suck you closer to it via a gravitational field, which is designated by a purple ring around the boss. This gravitational field will get bigger as the boss loses health. In order to avoid this, circling with a wide berth around the Ceaseless Void is advised, as the gravitational fields will cause you to take a fair amount of contact damage if you are not careful.
70%/40%/10% Health
The Ceaseless Void will once again become invulnerable and summon 24 Dark Energies to attack you, still dealing contact damage and creating laser portals. Once the Dark Energies are destroyed, the boss once again becomes vulnerable to damage. At this point, just rinse and repeat from the beginning stage to defeat the Ceaseless Void.
12 Best Weapons on Terraria Calamity Mod – List
Are you looking for the best weapons on the terraria calamity mod? Here are the 13 best calamity mod weapons that you can use from the beginning to the end.
Also, I will include each weapon’s damage per second as a range when hitting a single target dummy to get a little idea about its damage.
For some calamity weapons, it is not fair because I tested this using a single target dummy.
There is no problem if you are playing calamity mod choosing a specific class because I included weapons for all the classes in calamity mod.
The order of the list is based on the damage of the weapon (low damage to high damage)
Gelitic Blade
The first weapon on the list is the gelitic Blade. Gelitic blade is a pre-hardmode weapon that you can also use for pre-wall of flesh boss fight.
This weapon belongs to the melee class. This weapon has 42 melee damage without any modifiers. You can also hit through walls using this weapon.
You can craft gelitic blade using 35 purified gel, 30 gel, and 10 hellstone bars at a static refiner.
You can do 50-145 damage per second using this weapon(avarage:95).
Omniblade
The second weapon is on the list is Omniblade. This is a hardmode weapon that doesn’t have a project tile to damage enemies. This weapon also belongs to the melee class.
The advantages of this weapon are it is very fast, larger than a normal sword and there is 20% to have whispering death debuff. It will reduce your enemy’s defense by 50. Ominiblade has 71 melee damage.
If you are going to use any modifiers for this weapon I recommend you to use the legendry because it is the best for this weapon.
You can craft this weapon using a katana, 20 life alloy, and 10 core of calamity at a Mythril anvil.
You can do 50-560 damage using this weapon (average:250)
Ark of the Elements
The third weapon on the list is the ark of elements. Ark of elements belongs to the melee class. This weapon is also a hardmode weapon that can craft after beating moon lord.
This broadsword can auto swing with a very fast speed and send project tiles to damage enemies. Without any modifiers ark of the elements, broadsword has 131 melee damage. The best modifier that you can add to this sword is legendry.
You can craft ark of the elements using true ark of ancients, 5 galctica singularity, 5 core of calamity, 5 life alloy, 5 illuminite bars.
You can do 250 – 1050 damage per second using this weapon (average:800)
Burning Sky
The 4th best calamity weapon on the list is the burning sky. This weapon has 225 melee damage without any modifiers.
I suggest you add the legendry modifier for this because it is the best. Burning sky broadsword is a very fast pre-moon lord weapon and it summons a lot of burning metros from the sky when you attack.
The only way to get this weapon is to beat the jungle dragon, yahron and there is a 25% chance to drop.
Alpha Ray
The 5th best calamity weapon on the list is alpha ray. Alpha ray belongs to mage class. So this is the first mage weapon on the list.
This weapon has 313 damage with insanely fast speed. This post-moon lord weapon has the 3 best modifiers. They are masterful, godly, and demonic.
Also, you can change the firing mode of this weapon with left and right-click.
You can craft alpha ray using 5 galactica singularity, 5 draksun fragments, 2 wingman, and a genisis at draedon’s forge.
Yharim’s Crystal
The next weapon is on the list is yharim’s crystal. This weapon also belongs to the magic class. yharim’s crystal has 391 magic damage without any modifiers. The 3 best modifiers for this weapon are mystic, deadly, and demonic.
Yharim’s crystal fires draconinc beams and it is similar to the last prism.
Yharim’s crystal is a rare weapon. This is dropped by the jungle dragon, yharim and there is a 1% chance to drop it from it.
You can do 4000 – 95 000 damage per second using this weapon (average:50 000)
Ark of cosmos
Ark of cosmos is a melee weapon that has 566 melee damage without any modifiers. The best modifier for this weapon is legendary. There is a lot of buffs you can get when you hit a projectile to an enemy from this weapon.
Each of the buffs you gain depends on your biome.
This weapon is also one of my favorites because it is so satisfying.
You can make the ark of cosmos with Galaxia, the ark of elements, and 4 auric tesla bars at a draedon’s forge.
Svantechnical
The next weapon on the list is Svantechnical. Svantechnical is a rager class weapon (post-moon lord) that has 806 ranger damage without any modifiers and it fires several barrages of bullets. Also, you can use right-click to zoom out using this weapon. The best modifier for this weapon is unreal.
There are 2 ways to get a Svantechnical in terraria calamity. The first way is by beating superme calamitas in expert mode. The second way is crafting it using SDFMG, 5 shadowspec bars, 10 souls of might, 10 souls of sight, and 10 souls of fright at a draedon’s forge.
You can do 10 000 – 60 000 damage per second using this weapon (average:40 000)
Earth
Earth is a huge broadsword that has 949 melee damage without any modifiers. Yes, it is for melee class and it is another one of my favorite weapons. The best modifier for this weapon is legendary. Earth sword has very fast speed and extremely strong knockback.
One of the advantages of this weapon is when you are losing your health in fights the attacks of this weapon will heal you a lot.
You can have this weapon by beating superme clamitas in expert mode.
Also, you can craft this weapon using a grand guardian, galactus blade, and 5 shadowspec bars at a draedon’s forge.
Soma prime
Soma prime is a ranger class weapon (post-moon lord) with insanely fast speed. This weapon has 1119 ranger damage without any modifiers. If you want to see more performance of this weapon I suggest you to add the godly modifier.
You can craft this weapon using 5 shadowspec bars, P90, and a minigun at draedon’s forge
You can do 20 000-100 000 damage per second using this weapon. (average:40 000)
Red sun
The red sun is a melee class weapon (post-moon lord) that has 2824 melee damage without any modifiers. I suggest you to use the legendary modifier for better performance.
You can craft this weapon using a mandible blade, a forsaken sab, 5 core of sunlight, and 5 shadowspec bars at a draedon’s forge. You can also have it by beating superme calamitas in expert mode.
You can do 2 000 – 13 000 damage per second using this weapon. I know it is lower damage per second than the other weapons. The reason for this is you can’t target a single area with this weapon like the burning sky. You can do a lot more damage than this in boss fights.
Triactis’ True Paladinian Mage-Hammer of Might
The mage hammer might sound like a mage weapon but it is actually a melee weapon with 11299 melee damage. I suggest you to use the godly modifier as for better performance.
You can craft this weapon using a galaxy smasher, 30 soul of might, and 5 shadowspec bars at a dredon’s forge or you can get it by beating superme clamitas on the expert mod.
You can do 60 000 – 83 000 damage per second using this weapon (average- 70 000)

«The flesh golem constructed using twisted necromancy. «
The Ravager is a Hardmode boss that can be fought anywhere on the Surface. On top of dropping a unique set of weapons and accessories, its purpose is to act as an efficient, though not necessarily easy, means of acquiring Life Alloys, Cores of Calamity, and other materials via Fleshy Geodes.
This boss receives a significant buff after Providence, the Profaned Goddess has been defeated, and it will begin to drop large amounts of Bloodstone as well via Necromantic Geodes.
Contents
Spawn
The Ravager can be spawned with the Death Whistle. It can be spawned anywhere on the Surface as long as it has space to fall onto the player.
When summoned, The Ravager will make a screaming sound instead of the regular boss roar.
Behavior
The Ravager acts in a manner similar to the Golem, in that it is primarily grounded, travels by jumping, attacks the player with launching its claws at them as well as firing various projectiles, and that its body is immune to damage until all of its limbs are broken.

Supreme Calamitas is one of the final Post-Moon Lord bosses that you will face in your playthrough. She is widely considered one of the mod’s toughest challenges, and preparation will greatly help with defeating her, especially on higher difficulties. Supreme Calamitas can be summoned by using Ashes of Calamity or a Ceremonial Urn at an Altar of the Accursed.
This guide will mention items exclusive to Expert and Revengeance Mode with no special formatting and will follow the intended progression.
Contents
Terrain Preparation
The first thing you will want to do is to create a platform in the air where you want your arena to be, around 6 blocks long. Place the Altar of the Accursed in the middle.
Upon spawning, Supreme Calamitas will create a 159×159 / 127×127 (inner available area 157×157 / 125×125
) square arena made of unbreakable Arena Blocks. Leaving it will cause Supreme Calamitas to enrage, speeding up all of her projectiles significantly and giving her 99% damage reduction.
Even though Supreme Calamitas creates an arena for you, there is still work that can be done to make the overall fight smoother. One very important addition is adding thick walls (around 50 blocks) to the sides of the arena (or alternatively, around 5 layers of blocks, 10 blocks apart each). This causes the Brimstone Fireblasts and
Brimstone Gigablasts that spawn above the player in later bullet hells to explode as soon as they spawn, making the darts much easier to dodge. This also applies to the Brimstone Gigablasts that Supreme Calamitas fires at the player.
Avoid placing long platforms in the middle of the arena, as they will do nothing but slow you down. The player should have more than enough flight time to rely on wing flight.
Minecart Tracks or Ropes may be additionally placed throughout the entire arena to aid in resetting flight time with a hook, and to give the player more control during bullet hells. They should be painted with Shadow Paint to reduce visual clutter.

Weapons
The weapons made from Auric Bars are typically the best options for the fight. Note that some of these weapons require defeating the Exo Mechs, which are on the same tier as Supreme Calamitas. Thus, one boss’ drops can greatly help with defeating the other.
Keep in mind that Supreme Calamitas has relatively little health compared other bosses on tier, but makes up for this with many invulnerable phases. Because of this, a weapon with very high DPS is not as important as other fights.

The Fight
While you may be tempted to run in blindly and reactively dodge projectiles, taking a more calculated approach to this fight will allow you to defeat her much more easily. Supreme Calamitas is a very consistent boss, usually acting the exact same way giving the same circumstances. Knowing what she will do next and where you need to go can drastically improve your chances of victory, especially on higher difficulties and/or with certain constraints.
This fight rundown will assume you built your arena according to the Terrain Preparation section in this guide.
Attacks
Supreme Calamitas has a set pattern that she will follow throughout the fight. She has 4 attacks.
Supreme Calamitas has a constant attack cycle which only interrupts when she is not attacking at all. Neither going through bullet-hell phases, nor switching to her second phase changes the current position in this cycle. It repeats once it is finished. Memorizing the entire attack cycle is not necessary, but is still a valuable thing to know, as you can predict what the boss will do next and react accordingly.
Her attack cycle is as follows:
The only variance to her pattern of attacks is that she will always perform a mobile attack immediately after entering Phase 2 at 40% health. This forced mobile attack will replace the attack that she would have done in the pattern. Afterward, she will resume from the next spot in the pattern. Additionally, during bullet hells, Supreme Calamitas will stop moving, lay still, and be completely invincible. When a bullet hell ends, she will immediately resume her pattern and become vulnerable again. Be careful as this can cause her to shoot Brimstone Hellblasts at awkward angles or cause her to lunge in a way she normally would not.
The Fight
The fight immediately begins with a Bullet Hell, which have randomized patterns and are not exactly the same each fight. There are 5 Bullet Hells in total in the fight, and each last 15 seconds. During Bullet Hells, Supreme Calamitas is invulnerable and deals no contact damage. Bullet Hell One consists of:
It is very important to master this part of the fight, as the projectiles here do enormous damage, much more than Supreme Calamitas’ normal attacks. For the third section, slowly moving downward can prevent the Hellblasts from above from reaching you. Hooking on rails will also help greatly with control.
At 75% health, Supreme Calamitas enters Bullet Hell Two, which consists of:
Additionally, four Brimstone Fireblasts will fire throughout the Bullet Hell. One will come from the top, then two from the right, then another from the top. Remain in the top right hand corner of the arena, as this will make them explode off screen, making them much easier to dodge.
At 50% health, Supreme Calamitas enters Bullet Hell Three, which consists of:
Additionally, pairs of Brimstone Fireblasts and
Brimstone Gigablasts will fire from the top of the screen. There are 3 pairs, with the fourth one only containing a Fireblast (the Bullet Hell ends before the Gigablast explosion can reach the player). Remain at the top of the arena so that they can explode off screen.
At 45% health, Supreme Calamitas will summon her brothers, Supreme Cataclysm and Supreme Catastrophe. Supreme Cataclysm will remain a fixed distance away on the right, slowly moving up and down, while firing
fists
At 40% health, Supreme Calamitas will transition to Phase 2. She will attack faster, but perform half as much charge attacks in a row. Upon transitioning, she will immediately perform a mobile attack before continuing to resume her pattern.
At 30% health, Supreme Calamitas enters Bullet Hell Four, which consists of:
Pairs of Fireblasts and Gigablasts are fired here too, just like in Bullet Hell Three.
After this bullet hell ends, you should always be circling around the arena. Try to not turn around and circle the other way unless you get blocked by a Brimstone Monster or Supreme Calamitas and her projectiles. It is recommended to try to keep circling in a counter-clockwise direction, as it will make the final bullet hell phase a bit easier to manage.
At 20% health, Supreme Calamitas will summon a ring of Supreme Soul Seekers. They synchronously fire Brimstone Darts at the player every three seconds, starting with when they spawn. With such a large number of projectiles, they can cause serious trouble in conjunction with Supreme Calamitas’ normal attacks. Weapons with piercing and a large range of attack are the best options for disposing of them. If playing on Revengeance or higher, using Adrenaline or Rage is a very good idea. All the Seekers must be defeated in order to continue damaging the boss.
Pairs of Fireblasts and Gigablasts are fired here, just like in Bullet Hell Three and Four.
To dodge this bullet hell, it is typically best to circle in a counter-clockwise motion around the arena. When moving upward, take care to avoid Fireblasts or Gigablasts that may spawn above you. As this is the hardest attack in the entire fight, Melee, Ranged, and Rogue players can use the God Slayer Dash to get out of sticky situations, while Mages and Summoners may want to save their Silva Revive for here to take full advantage of the Silva Invulnerability. The Rod of Discord or Normality Relocator are invaluable tools in this section, as if you are in a tight spot or if a Brimstone Monster is about to hit you, you can teleport to a safer spot.
At 1% health, Supreme Calamitas will cease attacking, become invulnerable, and begin a brief monologue. The Brimstone Monsters will also despawn. Make sure to dodge any last stray darts that may still be on screen before celebrating over your victory. After her monologue is over, Supreme Calamitas will reappear at the Altar as the Brimstone Witch NPC, leaving her loot there as well.

Calamitas is a Hardmode boss that is usually fought after defeating all Mechanical Bosses alongside Cryogen, the Brimstone Elemental, and the Aquatic Scourge. Calamitas can be spawned by using an Eye of Desolation on the Surface at night.

Terrain Preparation
Calamitas requires a lot of room. Two to three long sets of platforms should be spaced out roughly 25-35 blocks apart. Having platforms above the ground will help as it will prevent you from running into Catastrophe’s bouncing fireballs later in the fight. In the case that you end up needing to go near the ground, the ground of the arena should be leveled to prevent crevices and holes obstructing your movement.
Strong vertical mobility is a great asset for this fight as well as good horizontal mobility. As such, it would not be a bad idea to invest in some Weightless Candles. Additionally, placing Campfires and Heart Lanterns can help with recovery from hits.

The Fight
Calamitas alternates between hovering over the player and firing two accelerating Brimstone Hellfireballs, and leveling with the player and firing 4 acceleration Brimstone Hellblasts. Run horizontally to avoid the Hellfireballs, and fly up to avoid the Hellblasts.
At 70% health, Calamitas will become invulnerable and summon a bullet hell. Focus on the projectiles and do not be afraid to use the Rod of Discord if you are in a tight spot. Using Binoculars will also help with seeing the projectiles.
At 40% health, Calamitas will summon her brothers, Cataclysm and Catastrophe. Cataclysm rotates between breathing a brimstone flamethrower and charging at the player, and Catastrophe rotates between firing bouncing brimstone fireballs and charging at the player. Because of the brother’s high speed and the long range of Cataclysm’s flamethrower, it is important to stay far away from them. In Revengeance mode or above, using Adrenaline or Rage to quickly dispatch them is a good idea.
At 35% health, Calamitas will summon five Soul Seekers that rotate around her, periodically firing brimstone darts and summoning Life Seekers. Piercing weapons will make short work of the seekers.
At 10% health, Calamitas will summon a second bullet hell, this time with the addition of Brimstone Fireblasts fired from offscreen which home in on the player and explode into rings of Brimstone Darts. Moving around is especially important, as the darts from the Fireblasts are much harder to dodge if you are close to the explosion.
In Expert Mode
The brothers must be destroyed in order for Calamitas to take damage again. Calamitas and her brothers also attack more aggressively.
In Revengeance Mode
Calamitas and her brothers are generally more aggressive. Calamitas gains a new attack below 75% health, where she charges at the player twice following her fireball and hellblast attacks. This attack cannot be used if the brothers are alive. Calamitas will also charge at the player nonstop below 10% health. Because she positions herself above the player in the second bullet hell and immediately starts charging after it ends, the player might want to save the Rod of Discord to prevent cheap hits.
In Death Mode
Calamitas attacks even more aggressively and summons 10 Soul Seekers instead of 5 at 35% health.

The Biome Blade is a craftable Hardmode broadsword that autoswings and is an upgraded version of the Broken Biome Blade. By default it does not fire any projectile nor does it have any special effects. However if the player stands still on flat ground while holding right-click for 2 seconds, they will strike the sword into the ground, attuning it to the surrounding biome, which will let them perform unique attacks. Amongst its attunements are upgraded versions of the Broken Biome Blade’s own ones, and three new ones for the Hardmode biomes.
The sword has the ability to store an extra attunement in a secondary slot, which it automatically fills with the sword’s previous primary attunement when it gets replaced by another one. Using the right-click function without standing still or without holding the button down will swap between the primary and secondary attunements.
Its best modifier is Legendary.
The Biome Blade can obtain 8 different attunements, listed below:

Pure Clarity is the Biome Blade’s default attunement which can be obtained if channeled in a biome that doesn’t have any corresponding attunement, such as the Purity or in the Underground. When swung, it fires a medium-range Purity Projection projectile which cannot pierce through tiles nor targets. Enemies struck by the projectile are inflicted with the Armor Crunch debuff, greatly reducing their defense temporarily.
Hitting a target with the sword itself will place a sigil over them, which will expire after 20 seconds unless the enemy is hit again, or if another enemy is hit in which case the sigil will reposition onto the new target. The sword’s projectiles will home onto any enemy marked with the sigil.

Biting Embrace is an attunement obtained by channeling the sword in the Snow biome. It replaces the default swing animation of the sword with a custom swing combo that can be aimed, starting with a downwards swing, followed by a bigger upwards swing, and ending with a forward thrust. The second swing deals 115% of the weapon’s base damage, and the final thrust deals 130% of the weapon’s base damage, while also applying the Glacial State debuff for two thirds of a second on enemy hits, freezing them in place.
Every swing releases a field of lingering glacial mist that deals 9% of the swing’s base damage. With the swing damage multipliers applied, this means that the mist released from the second swing will deal 10.35% of the weapon’s base damage, and the final thrust will deal 11.5% of the weapon’s base damage.

Arid Grandeur is an attunement that can obtained by channeling the sword in the Desert or in The Underworld. When this attunement is selected, the sword will be held out in front of the player, with 4 extra spinning blades floating around the sword itself. Hitting enemies with the blades charges them up, which increases their size, damage and hit frequency, going from 122 damage per hit to 160 damage per hit. The blade’s charge decays over time when not hitting enemies.
Releasing the attack button while the blades have more than half their charges remaining will send the four ghostly blades out flying in the cursor’s direction, dealing 450% of the weapon’s base damage, no matter the charge amount.
Alongside its damage-dealing function, this attunement doubles as a movement tool that can be used by the player to gain control over their distance to their target. When in the air, the blades will function as a pogo stick that bounce the player away from any tile they hit. Additionally, hitting an enemy while in the air will bounce the player up, and make them partly «stick» to their target, with some of the enemy’s velocity being transferred over to the player.

It is of note that while the player can only do two forward lunges before having to touch the ground again, they can pogo off of enemies as many times as they want before landing.
If the player lands three strikes before touching the ground, their next attack will turn into an empowered dash which deals 300% of the weapon’s base damage while giving the player one second of invincibility frames. The empowered dash’s availability is indicated by a sound effect.

Grovetender’s Touch is an attunement that can obtained by channeling the sword in the Jungle, the Ocean or the Sulphurous Sea. When selected, the player will use the Biome Blade like a whip, with the sword itself being connected to the player’s hand with a long vine, alternating between an overhead swing and a sideways one. Hitting enemies with the vine itself will only deal 60% of the weapon’s base damage, but if an enemy is hit by the blade right as the whip cracks, the resulting hit will be guaranteed to be a critical strike, and its damage will be boosted by 120%. Hitting a critical strike with the whip will additionally target up to 3 other nearby enemies with vines sprouting from the original target, with each vine dealing 30% of the weapon’s base damage.
Hitting a tile with the whip will propel the player towards it which can be used to get closer or further from a target, in order to land easier sweet spot hits.

Extant Abhorrence is an attunement that can obtained by channeling the sword in the Astral Infection. When the biome blade is used with this attunement, the player will hold the blade out in front of them, charging it up slowly. Releasing the attack button after having the charge up more than 25% of the way will let the player do a quick lunge in the direction of their cursor, with the speed and damage of the lunge varying based on the charge of the sword, with a fully charged up lunge dealing 350% of the weapon’s base damage. The lunge also grants the player a third of a second worth of invincibility frames if they hit an enemy during the lunge.
Hitting the ground with a lunge that was more than halfway charged will spawn one monolith at the impact location. If the lunge was charged more than 75% of the way through, two additional monoliths will sprout up on each side of the central monolith provided there is ground for them to appear out of, and if the blade was fully charged, a final two monoliths will appear at the side of the outermost monoliths, once again provided there is ground for them to spawn on. Each of these thresholds are indicated with a sound effect playing, and with the blade visually blinking. The True Biome Blade is a craftable Hardmode broadsword that autoswings and is an upgraded version of the Biome Blade. By default it does not fire any projectile nor does it have any special effects. However if the player stands holds the right-click button for 2 seconds, they will raise the sword up towards the sky, attuning it to the surrounding biome as lightning strikes the blade, which will let them perform unique attacks.
The sword has the ability to store an extra attunement in a secondary slot, which it automatically fills with the sword’s previous primary attunement when it gets replaced by another one. Using the right-click for less than 2 seconds will swap between the primary and secondary attunements. Unlike its predecessors, the attunement in the secondary slot isn’t useless, as it gives the player an extra passive effect when using the main attunement of the sword.
Its best modifier is Legendary.
The True Biome Blade can obtain 4 different attunements, each of them acting as a combination of two attunements from the Biome Blade:
Contents
Attunements
Swordsmith’s Pride is the True Biome Blade’s default attunement which can be obtained if channeled in a biome that doesn’t have any corresponding attunement, such as the Purity or in the Underground, as well as in The Hallow. It combines the effects of the Pure Clarity and Heaven’s Might attunements from the Biome Blade.
When selected, the player will spin the True Biome Blade around themselves, with the sword increasing in speed, size and damage as its spun up. The sword’s damage will range from 30% of the weapon’s base damage at the start of the attack, and ramp up to 190% of the weapon’s base damage once its fully wound up. When the sword has been more than halfway charged, sword beams will start being fired in random directions around the player. At 75% charge or above, the player will also shoot one extra aimed sword beam every swing. The sword beams deal 50% of the weapon’s base damage, and inflict the Armor Crunch debuff, greatly reducing the defense of any enemy struck.
Releasing the attack button if the sword is more than halfway spun-up will throw it in the direction of the cursor, before getting quickly pulled back to the player’s hand by ghostly chains. The thrown blade deals between 215% and 330% of the weapon’s base damage, depending on the charge completion of the sword before the throw. After the throw, the player has to spin the sword back up. The availability of the sword throw is indicated with a sound effect playing after reaching 50% chargeup on the sword.
Hitting an enemy with the thrown blade will place a sigil of purity over them, making all of the sword beams home in on them, and biasing the random sword beams’ angle towards the marked enemy’s direction. The sigil will expire after 16.67 seconds unless the enemy is hit again, which refreshes the sigil’s duration, or another enemy is struck, in which case the sigil will be replaced by a new one over the new enemy.
When in the passive slot, the Swordsmith’s Pride attunement causes sword beams to occasionally shoot out from the sword when used, dealing a flat 200 damage and applying the Armor Crunch debuff.
Sanguine Fury is an attunement obtained by channeling the sword in the Desert, The Underworld, The Corruption or The Crimson. It combines the effects of the Arid Grandeur and Decay’s Retort attunements from the Biome Blade.
When this attunement is selected, the sword will be held out in front of the player, with 4 extra spinning blades floating around the sword itself. Hitting enemies with the blades charges them up, which increases their size, damage and hit frequency, going from 200 damage per hit to 380 damage per hit. The blade’s charge decays over time when not hitting enemies.
Releasing the attack button while the blades have more than 80% of their maximum charge remaining will send the four ghostly blades out flying in the cursor’s direction in a wheel formation, dealing 250% of the weapon’s base damage, no matter the charge amount. Attacking immediately after releasing the swords while pointing in the direction of the thrown wheel will make the player quickly dash towards the wheel, damaging every enemy in the way for 250% of the weapon’s base damage, with each of these hits being a critical strike and healing the player for 4 health.
When hitting enemies while the Sanguine Fury attunement is selected as the sword’s passive attunement, the player will rarely get granted 7 health.
Lamentations of the Chained is an attunement that can obtained by channelling the sword in the Snow biome, the Jungle, the Ocean or the Sulphurous Sea. It combines the properties of the Grovetender’s Touch and Biting Embrace attunements from the Biome Blade
When used, the player will hold the sword in front of them, summoning 3 separate very fast chained blades that relentlessly whip anything standing in front of the player. Hitting enemies with the flail’s chains will only deal 50% of the weapon’s base damage, but if an enemy is hit by the tip of the flails, the resulting hit will be guaranteed to be a critical strike. Hitting a critical strike with the flails will additionally target up to 3 other nearby enemies with ghastly chains sprouting from the original target, with each chain dealing 50% of the weapon’s base damage.
When selected as a passive attunement, Lamentations of the Chained will summon a ghostly chained hook that floats behind the player. When the player lands a hit, the hook has a chance to quickly swirl around them, dealing a flat 500 damage and inflicting the Glacial State debuff to any enemy hit, freezing them in place for 1.66 seconds.
Mercurial Tides is an attunement that can obtained by channelling the sword in the Sunken Sea, the Abyss or the Astral Infection. It’s a fusion of the Extant Abhorrence and Gesture for the Drowned attunements from the Biome Blade.
Hitting the ground with a lunge will spawn waves of monoliths rippling from both sides of the impact point, with the amount of monoliths being dependent on how much the lunge was charged up. The completion of each quarter of the charge will be indicated with a sound effect playing, the blade visually blinking, and by a blue pulse shockwave being emitted around the player. Each monolith will deal 110% of the weapon’s base damage on their first hit, with every following hit only dealing 15% of the initial amount, while the shockwaves emitted during the chargeup deal 80% of the weapon’s base damage.
In the passive slot, the Mercurial Tides attunement causes the player to emit shockwaves around themselves every 2 seconds while attacking, dealing a flat 200 damage.
Chance to trigger passive on hit effects
The on-hit passive effects from the Sanguine Fury and Lamentations of the Chained attunements are affected by an internal proc chance that varies depending on the source of each hit.
Ravager

Ores are primary crafting materials necessary for game progress. They usually must be crafted into bars at a Furnace, after which they can craft several essential tools, weapons, armor, and other items. Some items require raw ores themselves, most commonly potions. Raw ores can also be used as plain blocks for construction.
The Calamity Mod adds 11 new ore blocks to the game, that are used to craft a variety of tools, weapons, and armor. With the exception of Sea Prism, Charred Ore, and Scoria Ore, which are generated upon world creation, all ores are spawned upon the defeat of specific bosses.
Potions
Potions are a group of consumable items that either recover health and/or mana or grant temporary buffs. They are more commonly found in natural chests and Pots and can also be dropped by enemies, purchased from NPCs, or crafted.
The Calamity Mod adds several new potions to the game, with their purposes ranging between upgraded healing, granting new buffs, combining many buffs into one, or permanently altering the player’s stats.

Guide:Class setups
The Calamity Mod adds a plethora of new weapons and equipment for all classes, including its new rogue class, to use throughout the game. Calamity also adds many difficult boss encounters and other situations in which class builds should be optimized in order to efficiently succeed. This is a guide that will show potential weapon and equipment builds for each of the five classes at various points in the game’s progression.
Melee — The melee class sports the highest defense on average and decent crowd control, but many melee weapons have short attack range, and those that do attack from a distance tend to have below-average DPS.
Ranger — The ranged class is a powerful bossing class with very high single-target damage output, and can attack from a long range. Ranged users must gather materials to craft ammunition, but this is not a significant drawback.
Mage — The magic class is fragile but highly varied in attack style, often utilizing special mechanics such as homing and area-of-effect damage. It is held back by reliance on mana, which regenerates very slowly unless the Mana Regeneration buff is in effect. Mages must craft or purchase mana potions if they wish to use high-mana cost weapons for extended periods of time.
Summoner — The summoning class is good at dealing with multiple threats, but most summoner armors have low defense, and minions are often inaccurate against enemies that move very quickly. Summon weapons can be used in conjunction with other classes, however the player must take note of summoning weapons’ frequent conflicts with Immunity frames and Calamity’s minion damage nerf when holding other weapons.
Rogue — The rogue class is a brand new class created by the Calamity mod that generally consists of thrown weapons. It utilizes a unique stealth mechanic that adds new attacks to many rogue weapons, decreases enemy Aggro and increases overall damage done by rogue weapons.
All — This «class» describes gear and items that are usable for all classes. Any equipment such as accessories and armor that are not specific to a class will be listed here.
Each class gains more complex abilities as the game progresses, enabling more strategic variety in combat. It is advised for players to try out every weapon they find to help determine what works best for them. It is also recommended to use buff potions and healing potions to increase efficiency and survivability in combat (especially during events and boss fights).
In general, it is recommended to focus on one class. Many armors, accessories and buffs only benefit a specific class, especially later into the game. However, while their damage output may not be as high, backup weapons from another class can be helpful should the situation require a different weapon.
Some items, armors, and accessories have extra abilities that are activated only by using them together. For example, most wings with a corresponding armor set provide additional stat boosts when used with said armor set, in addition to the flight they give.
This guide will not mention Classless weapons that use ammo, such as the Magnum and Bazooka, which deal massive damage but should only be used sparingly due to their limited ammo supply. If a section for a class is blank, please refer to the «All Classes» section of each table.
Foreword
This guide is not meant to be used as a way to see the best weapons or accessories available at a specific point. Instead, it shows some potential gear that players may find useful and that can be obtained at that point in progression. This is because there are many different ways to approach fights and what works well for one person may not work at all for another. Furthermore, there are frequent balance changes to the mod so an item’s relative power level can fluctuate wildly between updates and because of this, the guide is often not completely up-to-date. Players are highly encouraged to treat the guide as a starting point and to experiment with different weapons, accessories and armor sets to see what works best for them.
For a list of weapons for each specific class sorted by progression (albeit extremely roughly), see the respective class’s weapons page and click the small arrow on the sell price column to sort the table by sell price. An example page for melee weapons can be found here.
Similar pages are also available for sub-classes of weapons. An example page for yoyos can be found here.

Bars are crafting materials generally crafted from mined ores at a Furnace. Crafting most ore-related items requires that raw ores are first crafted into bars.
The Calamity Mod currently adds 9 different bar types. Obtaining many of these only requires their respective ores as crafting ingredients. Astral, and Auric are exceptions that require secondary materials in addition. Cosmilite Bars are not crafted but are instead dropped by The Devourer of Gods respectively. Some bars may also be obtained from crates after a certain boss is defeated.

The Fight
The Dragonfolly will spawn offscreen, meaning you should be prepared to dodge Dragonfolly as it approaches you. Dragonfolly has 3 main attacks: flying toward the player, charging at the player, and summoning Draconic Swarmers.
When Dragonfolly spends a majority of the time flying around often in your direction, it will fly in your direction albeit, not extremely aggressively. However, Dragonfolly will out run the player if Seraph Tracers are equipped while running, and it will continue to fly at you even as you run out of flight time. Dragonfolly cannot travel through platforms while doing this attack.
Occasionally, Dragonfolly will attempt to line up horizontally with you and perform a charge. Dragonfolly can go through platforms in order to line up properly. When turning around, Dragonfolly often releases a swarm of electric feathers. These slowly fly away and pick up speed over time. Within a few seconds, they will turn around and begin to home in. Be careful as they home in very strongly and are not easily shaken. The Rod of Discord or Normality Relocator can help in avoiding these.
When summoning Draconic Swarmers, Dragonfolly will begin to fly down, ignoring platforms, until it reaches solid ground. From there, it begins to fly left and right, spawning smaller versions of itself. The spawned Draconic Swarmers fly very fast, deal lots of damage, are immune to knockback, and have quite a bit of health. It is important to have a weapon that deals with them while still being able to take out Dragonfolly itself.
Dragonfolly will enrage if the player goes outside the Jungle or strays too far away from it, so it is best to stay close to it.

The Fight
Once the Hive is summoned, it will start by hovering over you, shooting a rain of Blood Geysers or Ichor Shots into the air that inflict the Burning Blood and Ichor debuffs respectively. The projectiles are shot upward, then spread as they fall, covering a large area. There are several projectiles fired at once, all of which fall in a single horizontal line. You can run from the rain, by moving the opposite dierction the projectiles were shot in. Alternatively, you can look for the gaps in between the projectiles, and carefully maneuver through them.
While below 70% health and no worms are alive, the hive will position itself above the player every 10 (or 7.5 on malice) seconds and fire a spread of Ichor Blobs down on them, which create a lingering hazard that lasts several seconds. The player should move to avoid these shots, and attempt to stay as far away from the blobs as possible so that they have sufficient room to move around. If possible, the player should attempt to have this attack occur on the far ends of the arena, or on the ground beneath the upper platform so as to keep them out of the way.
The three worms spawn at three separate health increments; the small worm spawns when the hive drops to 75% health; the medium worm spawns at 50% health; and the large worm at 25%. The worms behave like any other worm, burrowing through blocks to attack you. However, each worm has different attributes:
The larger worms are stronger, but move slower. The worms also get more aggressive as their health depletes. It is recommended to have your minimap open to track the worms’ positions and to target each worm as it spawns. When the worms spawn, hold your position and keep dodging the hive’s projectile rain. Jump or fall and dash in the opposite direction to dodge the worms’ charges, but make sure to compensate for the hive’s projectiles. Continue doing this while attacking the worm until it dies. Keep in mind that while the large worm is alive, the hive will take no damage.
In Expert Mode, the worms move and turn faster, so you must be more careful while dodging the worms. Furthermore, the hive will become invulnerable while the largest worm is alive, forcing you to defeat it in order to finish the fight.
In Revengeance Mode, the hive will retain its previous abilities and will gain the ability to charge at you with speed while a worm isn’t alive. To dodge this attack, let the hive level itself with you, then jump or fall as it gets close. Accessories that boost jump speed and/or height help with dodging the charging. Once a worm spawns, it will stop charging but will gain increased acceleration.
In Death Mode, the hive shoots more often, is more aggressive and will hover closer to you if more than one worm is alive. It is more important in this mode that you target the worms to avoid interception by the hive. The worms also have more segments that are larger.
In Malice Mode, the hive and worms have their speed doubled, necessitating a heavy emphasis on mobility accessories and dodging.
General Tips
Guide:Providence, the Profaned Goddess strategies
Providence, the Profaned Goddess is a post-Moon Lord boss that is fought after defeating the Profaned Guardians and is intended to be fought after The Dragonfolly. To fight her the player must use a Profaned Core in either The Hallow or The Underworld. The boss is normally fought during the daytime, enraging and becoming much more powerful at nighttime.

Terrain Preparation
Providence requires a lot of room. A good arena for the fight will require flattening out a large area and making at least several very long platforms (try to set each platform 30 blocks apart from each other). Platforms are useful as molten globs launch up and will stay on the higher ones, allowing the player to more safely navigate the lower parts of the arena without worrying about the hazard. Make sure not to neglect verticality too, as you also will want ample vertical space to dodge Providence’s attacks.
In the Hallow, you can use actuated Pearlstone Blocks to stay in the biome and prevent Providence from enraging.
In the Underworld, the Onyx Excavator Key and/or the Drill Containment Unit can assist with clearing space for the arena. You can also equip Angel Treads or any of its upgrades to use the lava as a floor. Beware that the Molten Globs she spawns can be difficult to see on top of the lava. If refighting her in the Underworld to obtain the Elysian Aegis, Mortar Rounds or Rubber Mortar Rounds can be used in conjunction with a fast firing gun such as the Chain Gun.

The Fight
Attacks
Providence utilizes a variety of attacks that she goes through in a cycle.
Blast Phase
Providence will fly back and forth above you and will fire massive Holy Blasts which burst into
Holy Flames on impact. The Holy Flames will spread out in all directions before homing in on you for a brief moment. Moving quickly and rapidly changing direction can prevent the projectiles from hitting you as the Holy Blasts are slow and the Holy Flames are quick but will only home for a very short time.
Flame Phase
Providence will hover above you and fire Holy Flames that stop in mid-air and split into more Holy Flames that travel either horizontally or vertically. To make this phase easier, move away from the initial Holy Flames and avoid being directly to the left/right or directly above/below them.
Bomb Phase
Providence will fly directly above you and drop Holy Bombs that linger in place. The Holy Bombs will continually emit Holy Flames that drift towards you. This phase greatly resembles the attack of a Profaned Energy. Going in one direction and then jumping or dropping a platform should make this stage rather simple to dodge.
Cocoon Phase
Providence will stop moving and hide in her cocoon, increasing her damage reduction to 90%. The boundary for the Holy Inferno will decrease when she is in her cocoon. While she is in her cocoon phase she can use one of two attacks:
Cocoon Stars
The cocoon stars will start spreading from her in a tight group and will grow faster and wider apart as they travel. Position yourself to the left/right of Providence instead of above/below her to give yourself more time and control to dodge the stars. Focus on making mostly vertical movements and try not to move too much horizontally, as you run at risk of being inflicted with Holy Inferno. Staying close to Providence will ensure you have enough time to react to the stars’ positions, though you need to also keep some distance so the stars will be spaced out enough for you to be able to weave between them.
An alternative way to dodge the attack is to quickly maneuver yourself right in the middle of Providence, so every single star hits you. Since the damaging Cocoon Stars give you immunity frames, you can rapidly heal off any damage that they deal to you with the healing stars, even in Revengeance Mode, and go through the attack without having to dodge anything. However, this maneuver is not without risk and will lead to a quick death if you don’t have enough health to survive the initial wave of damage before staying in the middle. High defense is not necessary, but increased immunity frames from sources such as Fabsol’s Vodka or the Deific Amulet will help greatly. This also cannot be done in Death Mode or above due to the lack of healing stars.
At the end of the attack, a status message stating «The air is burning. » will appear and you will be inflicted with the Icarus’ Folly debuff for 50 seconds. The debuff cripples your mobility as it reduces wing time by 33% and prevents infinite flight. However, you will not be inflicted with the debuff if you are in a pool of water or honey at the end of the attack. Even though Providence stops emitting stars when this status message appears, you still need to keep your guard up, as there are stars still in the area that have not reached you yet.
Holy Spears
Providence will fire barrages of Holy Spears in 12 directions around herself, while also firing Holy Spears directly aimed at the player. The stream of Holy Spears will increase in frequency as Providence’s health gets lower. Move outward and make a large semicircle motion, enter an area between 2 «spokes» when they have spread out a far distance, and focus on small movements to dodge the remainder of the attack. Beware not to stray too far so you do not get inflicted with Holy Inferno. It is risky to go between the gaps between the spears, especially when they are moving quickly when she is at low health. Circling counterclockwise instead of clockwise will give you a much easier time dodging the attack. When the attack ends, be aware of the spears that are still in the area. To avoid them, stand still or fall toward the center of the barrage.
Molten Phase
Providence will fly above you, similarly to the Blast Phase, and fire Molten Blasts that explode on impact into several
Molten Globs that stay on the ground for some time before disappearing. If you prepared several platforms in the arena, the Blobs will get trapped on higher platforms, making your main concern avoiding the Molten Blasts. However, if you didn’t prepare platforms in the arena, concentrating the blobs in one location can make this phase and the following phases easier as it gives you more space to move around in. Try to move away from this part of the arena so that you do not get hit by them later when focusing on other attacks.
Holy Ray Phase
This occurs when Providence drops below 75% health if she was summoned in the Hallow. Like her cocoon phase, her DR increases substantially. The player can be warned in advance of this attack by Providence slowing down along with a sound cue of her charging up energy. She then unleashes a Holy Ray that sweeps toward your position, similar to the Moon Lord’s Phantasmal Death Ray attack. The Holy Ray deals massive damage compared to the other projectiles, which means taking a hit from a lesser projectile and getting immunity frames is preferable to getting hit by the Holy Ray.
In Expert Mode or below, dodging this attack can easily be done by flying around Providence in a circle or teleporting to the other side of the ray using the Rod of Discord or the Normality Relocator. In Revengeance Mode or above, Providence will now fire two Holy Rays instead of one. The rays converge inwards towards each other like a pair of scissors, leaving a small gap in between. To dodge the attack, you need to thread the gap between the rays or teleport behind one of the rays in the same manner as for Normal or Expert. If you see Providence slowing down and preparing to use the Holy Ray attack, try to maneuver yourself in a more favorable position (left/right of her instead of above/below) to make threading the gap easier.
Giant Crystal
If Providence drops below 75% and was summoned in the Underworld, she can summon a Giant Crystal at certain points in her attack cycle which is locked directly above the player at all times. It periodically rains down 10 smaller crystal shards which deal damage. It disappears after 60 / 35 seconds, and fires 7 volleys of shards in total. Note that the reduced duration in Death Mode means that it summons shards at a faster rate. Don’t try to outrun the crystal rain, and maneuver yourself between the gaps instead. The Rod of Discord or the Normality Relocator can be used to teleport above the crystal rain should you find yourself in a tight spot.
In Combat
Providence and her attacks become more aggressive as her health gets lower. In Death mode, Providence will also have decreased attack delay as her health decreases. When reaching 15% of her full health, she becomes even more aggressive and uses every attack possible against you.
Going too far from Providence will inflict you with the Holy Inferno debuff, causing damage over time which will rapidly increase in severity. This effect will end once you return to Providence’s proximity. As a warning that the player is reaching the limit, the character will start to have a fire aura around them. It is important to pay attention to this so you do not end up taking large amounts of unnecessary damage from the debuff.
In Revengeance mode and above, Providence will continuously increase in speed when flying in the same direction for longer than 2.5 seconds, up to roughly double her original speed, making running and kiting strategies more difficult. However, her speed will return to normal upon changing direction.
Notably, Providence does not deal any contact damage. This allows you to easily take advantage of weapons that require you to get close to achieve their full potential. Be wary that most projectiles still come from the center of her sprite.
Guardians
When Providence reaches 34% health, she will summon the Profaned Guardians. These Guardians do not attack or deal damage, and passively orbit around Providence while providing her buffs to her stats while alive.
— The Offense Guardian boosts Providence’s damage
— The Defense Guardian boosts Providence’s defense
— The Healer Guardian heals 0.5% of Providence’s health every 1.5 / 1 seconds.
Providence’s delay between attacks will become 1.15/1.3/1.45 times longer if there are currently 1/2/3 Profaned Guardians active. When leaving The Hallow or The Underworld, the Guardians will take very little damage until you return to the biome.
The first priority is to kill the Healer Guardian, which can quickly undo much of your hard work damaging Providence if you leave it alive for too long. If playing in Revengeance Mode or higher, this is a good opportunity to use Adrenaline or Rage. The Guardians can be difficult to hit when they are behind Providence, so piercing weapons can help with dealing with them. Note that the Guardians do not need to be killed to end the fight, so it may be preferable to cease focusing fire on the remaining Guardians and continue attacking Providence.
Night Providence
Summoning Providence at night (or in Malice Mode at any time) drastically increases the difficulty of the fight. Providence will inherit all difficulty mode changes, regardless of the world’s actual difficulty. She moves and switches between attacks faster, and the speed and rate of fire of her projectiles are also increased. Her attacks inflict Nightwither instead of Holy Flames. However, the Profaned Guardians phase is omitted. Providence also gains a modified and more difficult attack cycle, allowing her to both summon the Giant Crystal and enter her Holy Ray phase. She can now do these two attacks regardless of health.
The Giant Crystal disappears after 3.5 seconds and fires volleys of shards every 0.5 seconds, 10x faster than during the day in Death Mode. To dodge this, run in a straight line or fly up diagonally. The Holy Ray attack fires 4 converging lasers instead of 2 below 50% health, discouraging you from teleporting out of the path of the lasers easily. Instead, dodge the rays by threading the gap as normal.
Notably, Night Providence has extremely high Reactive Damage Reduction which essentially forces the fight to be around 4 minutes in length, no matter your DPS. This allows you to focus less on damage and more on mobility and defense gear. Try not to make your DPS higher than necessary, as the more damage you do to her early, the more damage reduction she gets, which means the more time you spend with her at lower health with more aggressive attacks. If playing on Revengeance or higher, try holding off on using Adrenaline or Rage until she is at low health, when you can burst her out to quickly end the fight.
Note that the only difference between Providence in Malice Mode and regular Night Providence is the fact that she moves slightly faster. This should not affect the actual fight at all for the most part.
As a reward for your efforts, defeating Providence while dealing all damage during the nighttime rewards you with both biome exclusive drops: the Elysian Wings (normally dropped in the Hallow) and the Elysian Aegis (normally dropped in the Underworld), removing the need to refight her in a different biome if you want both drops. As a bonus, you also get some Profaned Moonlight Dye.
Attack Cycle
Instead of choosing attacks randomly, Providence always follows a set attack cycle which is modified in higher difficulties. Going below 75% health does not change her place in the cycle. Her attack cycle is as follows:
In Revengeance Mode or below:
Above 75% health:
Below 75% health:
In Death Mode
Above 75% health:
Below 75% health:
At Nighttime or in Malice Mode
Memorizing Providence’s attack cycle is not necessary, but it can help greatly with defeating her, especially on higher difficulties and/or with certain constraints.
Terraria Calamity mod:
Windows.v0.9.2.3-for-v1.3.5-v3.zip).
Guide:Brimstone Elemental strategies
3 seconds (Contact, Hellfireball)
5 seconds (Brimstone Ray)
The Brimstone Elemental is a Hardmode boss that can be fought after defeating one Mechanical Boss. The Brimstone Elemental can be spawned by using a Charred Idol in the Brimstone Crag biome.
This guide will mention items exclusive to Expert and Revengeance Mode with no special formatting and will follow the intended progression.

Terrain Preparation
As for most bosses, arena preparation is essential. It is advised to clear out a decent area between the top of the underworld and right above the lava level of the area, and use two or three rows of platforms to enable you to dodge the attacks more freely. In Death Mode and below, leaving the Brimstone Crag or Underworld will cause the Brimstone Elemental to enrage, so the arena should remain within the biome. The width of your arena will vary based on world size, but having your arena extend the length of the Brimstone Crag is not a bad idea. Any patches of lava should be covered up, and uneven terrain at the bottom of the arena should be levelled.
The enrage when leaving the Brimstone Crag or Underworld does not stack with the effects of Malice Mode, so it may be preferable to make an arena on the surface to provide more overall space than an Underworld arena. To do this, the player will need to place enough Brimstone Slag for the Charred Idol to be used, but there is no need to place enough Brimstone Slag to fill the entire area.

The Fight
The Brimstone Elemental spawns offscreen, flying towards the player. The Brimstone Elemental has 3 phases that she can randomly choose from throughout the fight. She will never repeat the same phase twice.
In the first phase, the Brimstone Elemental will teleport around the player and fly towards them. Before teleporting, red dust appears in a rectangle shape at her intended destination. The player should keep moving away from her and pay attention to the telegraphed locations she will teleport to in order to avoid damage.
In the second phase, the Brimstone Elemental attempts to stay above the player while shooting short-lived Brimstone Hellfireballs at the player in regular intervals. These projectiles create a lingering explosion upon collision or expiration, meaning the player should keep moving during this phase. Every second Brimstone Hellfireblast is accompanied by a spread of four longer-ranged Brimstone Darts. Moving in one direction at a similar or slightly faster speed relative to the Brimstone Elemental is generally sufficient to dodge this phase. It may be advisable to drop down one platform whenever the Brimstone Darts are launched in order to give yourself more time to dash away from them if necessary.
In the third phase, the Brimstone Elemental comes to a complete halt and becomes nearly immune to damage, then begins to launch barrages of Brimstone Hellblasts and Brimstone Darts. Hellblasts are fired in arc shapes and are aimed at the player, while Darts are fired in an evenly spaced ring away Brimstone Elemental. Travelling too far away from her during this phase will lead to her firing a much larger and more dangerous ring of projectiles, so the player should avoid straying too far from her. This phase is best dodged by carefully circling her to avoid the Hellblast arcs, while weaving through the gaps in the Dart rings. If you must take a hit, it is preferable to get hit by the Darts than by the Hellblasts.
Below 50% health in Revengeance Mode and above, the Brimstone Elemental gains a new phase she can select. In this phase, the Brimstone Elemental moves towards the player, and then comes to a near-stop and fires a Brimstone Ray from her eye directly at the player’s predicted destination. This attack is telegraphed with a tracking line that comes to a halt right before she is about to fire. This ray produces two lines of slow Brimstone Darts that move in opposite directions from one another and perpendicular to the Brimstone Ray. In Revengeance Mode, this ray fires twice during this phase. This attack is best dodged by circling the Brimstone Elemental, and being prepared to quickly move out of the way once the telegraphing line locks onto a position, either by dashing or using an item like the Rod of Discord. The Brimstone Darts can be dealt with by moving to the opposite side of the Brimstone Elemental from where the ray was fired, though it is also possible to carefully squeeze between the gaps in the darts.
In Expert Mode, the Brimstone Elemental begins moving and attacking more rapidly as her health decreases.
In Revengeance Mode, up to two Brimlings will be spawned to harass the player by teleporting around and occasionally firing Brimstone Fireballs. Killing them has no penalty, but they do respawn every time she teleports, making them a hassle to kill; therefore, they should be avoided rather then being targeted. Additionally,The Brimstone Ray attack will be used twice in its phase. Furthermore, once below 33% health the Brimstone Elemental will no longer enter her first phase.
In Death Mode, she will move and teleport faster in phase 1. In phase 2, her projectiles have greater speed and she fires eight Brimstone Darts with each spread instead of four. In phase 3, her projectile speed is increased and she fires a second inner ring of Brimstone Darts that is spaced between the gaps of the outer ring. In her Brimstone Ray phase, only one ray is fired. The ray is more accurate, and the darts created move slower but slightly home in on the player, meaning the player can no longer attempt to move through a gap in the line of darts.

Steam
Calamity
Xbox
Guide:The Slime God strategies
The Slime God is one of the more difficult challenges that new players will face in the Calamity Mod, tasking them with defeating 3 boss entities at once, all of which inflict various debuffs and have an erratic and generally more complex behavior than previously encountered bosses. The Slime God is summoned by using an Overloaded Sludge in any biome and at any time.
This guide will mention items exclusive to Expert Mode and above with no special formatting and will follow the intended progression.

Terrain Preparation
An arena that allows for great vertical and horizontal mobility is a must for this fight, considering the high mobility of the bosses themselves.
Three flat layers of platforms about 15-20 blocks from each other will allow the player to make use of the Crimulan and Ebonian Slime Gods’ inability to fall through platforms (except when dashing) and create a safe distance, while also providing enough space to maneuver around the 3 enemies. Campfires and Heart Lanterns will increase survivability and should be placed throughout the span of the whole arena.
During the fight, the arena will start to clutter with mines. As such, a length of about 500 blocks is recommended; struggling players can choose to have more layers and lengthier platforms.
The bottom layer of the arena can be built with Ice Blocks, increasing the player’s acceleration and top speed, both of which are useful assets in the fight (provided the player is equipped with Frostspark Boots).
An alternative arena setup is a long minecart track that goes up and down, making a full loop.

This attack can be dodged by continuing to move, and taking advantage of dashes from the Counter Scarf of Shield of Cthulhu. The Slime Gods will also regularly fire volleys of Abyss Balls at the player. The Ebonian Slime God fires twice as many Abyss Balls as the Crimulan Slime God, though it attacks less frequently. The player should be prepared to quickly fly up or drop down from their platform to evade this attack. As both Slime Gods lose health, they will spawn Crimson Slime Spawns and Corrupt Slime Spawns respectively. These can be dealt with using piercing weapons, or by building an arena long enough that it is not necessary to double back. If the player moves too far away, the large slimes can teleport or very quickly fly towards to player, so they should not be moving too quickly away from any of the large slimes. In Expert Mode, the Crimulan and Ebonian Slime Gods will split upon reaching 50% health into two smaller, weaker versions of themselves. The split versions of each god fire half as many Abyss Balls per volley, and fire less frequently.
The Slime God Core will constantly accelerate towards the player, and inflict the Distorted debuff upon contact. This debuff drastically reduces the player’s control over their movement, often leading to getting hit several more times, so contact with the Core should be avoided at all costs. Upon taking enough damage, the Core will retreat into one of the larger slimes, «possessing» it, and granting it drastically increased damage, defense, and speed for several seconds. Despite this, it is still generally beneficial to keep the Core possessing a slime so that the player does not risk being afflicted with the Distorted debuff, and the Core should be the priority target whenever it is flying to the player.
Upon the defeat of either the Crimulan or Ebonian Slime God, the other god will enrage, firing Abyss Volleys much more frequently. In addition to this, each god gains a unique boost when the other is defeated. If the Crimulan Slime God is defeated first, the Ebonian Slime God will double its movement-based attack rates. If the Ebonian Slime God is defeated first, the Crimulan Slime God will double its defense. It is generally advised to target the Ebonian Slime God first, as it fires much harder to dodge Abyss Ball Volleys and its enraged buff is harder to deal with.
Upon reaching 20% health, or upon the defeat of both the Crimulan and Ebonian Slime Gods, the Core will enter its second phase and gain a new, more dangerous AI. The Core’s movement speed and acceleration is increased, and it begins firing spreads of Abyss Balls as it travels. Homing weapons are especially helpful at this point in the fight, due to the fast moving but fragile nature of the Core. In Revengeance Mode, instead of constantly firing Abyss Balls, every few seconds the Core will teleport to and circle the player, firing Abyss Balls at their position. This phase is generally the hardest part of the fight, so it is worth using Adrenaline or Rage in order to defeat this phase as quickly as possible.
In Revengeance Mode, all Slimes gain acceleration and speed as their health decreases, making them harder to outrun in the later phases of the fight.
In Death Mode, the acceleration and speed boosts are further increased based on missing health, making it advisable to target the large slimes with the least health remaining.
In Malice Mode, the Ebonian and Crimulan Slime Gods always behave as if possessed by the core, meaning that the player should equip as many movement accessories as possible so they can properly evade the boss.
