two weeks had passed and it was the day of my love or host, i had no idea who was going to be there or how it would go i just hoped at least one person chose love, i had dressed up a little for this, i soon got onto the discord call and zoom call, once there me and austin chatted before he started his stream, once the stream started he went over the rules with me then added me to the same call as everyone else

«i would hug her or put something on tv while cuddling her- unless she doesnt like to be touched..then i’d just..i dont know..» karl laughed nervously
«well- i would assume we’ve been dating for awhile at this point, so i would make her favorite snack, then we’d have a little chat to see if i can cheer her up more» tricia said, smiling

«i’d send them their favorite tiktok and try to figure out how sad they are based on that» minx said
«i would call her and tell her everything is okay, i’d make sure she got to talk about whatever is making them sad» niki said

«well, i would take her to this nice park in brighton, and we’d just have a nice time away from our screens and socials » wibur said with a smile

How to watch James Charles on ‘Love or Host’ Twitch show
Make-up guru and Internet star James Charles has been announced as the next guest on Twitch’s viral game show “Love or Host” and he’s their biggest guest yet.
The show, which first started in June, combines reality TV and streaming and is aired on the AustinShow channel on Twitch. As the rules go, the chat decides on who is eliminated and will also act as the matchmaker.
The show has very quickly gained traction online, which may be unsurprising given there’s little else to do during a global health crisis. More than 100,000 people tuned in to the first episode, and recent episodes have consistently had more than 1.5 million views. Austin’s Twitch channel now has more than 1 million followers.
Previous guests on the show have included Minecraft YouTuber GeorgeNotFound, YouTuber CallMeCarson, and streamer Pokimane, but James Charles might be Love or Host’s biggest guest yet.
Part of the excitement around James Charles being on stems from a previous episode when a cardboard cutout of James made an appearance, sending fans into a frenzy.

Will Gold (born September 14, 1996), better known online as Wilbur Soot, is an English YouTuber, Twitch streamer, and musician. [3] [4] He is best known for being the frontman and editor of the YouTube group channel SootHouse, creating the Editor Wilbur ARG while editing for YouTuber JackSucksAtLife, and writing the storyline of the popular Dream SMP server.
Wilbur has been/is part of four major SMPs: SMPLive, SMPEarth, Dream SMP, and Origins SMP.
Currently, he streams on Twitch and posts stream highlights on YouTube. He also occasionally uploads videos of other games and Minecraft 100 Player Challenges and appears in videos on TommyInnit’s channel. He is well-known for his conversational streaming style and his acting in the Dream SMP lore.

Early life and roleplay [ ]

Wilbur grew up in Brighton, East Sussex, and was involved in roleplay starting at a young age. He first began to roleplay in Grand Theft Auto with his siblings. He then played Runescape briefly before roleplaying seriously in World of Warcraft and playing Dungeons and Dragons. Wilbur attended Sussex Downs College, and, during his time there, joined a D&D society. Although he started as a player, he quickly became a Dungeon Master and became heavily involved in D&D. [5] He continues to roleplay in Minecraft servers, most notably in the Dream SMP.
From 2011 to 2012, Wilbur also made videos with a friend named Sophie on the Minecraft and Donuts channel. These videos included «The Squid Song», which Wilbur later performed during SMPLive’s talent show. [6] [7]
SootHouse [ ]
Wilbur was the frontman and editor of the channel SootHouse, which included eight other members: Charlie, David, George, Dan, Jack, Matt, and Rhianna. The group made videos around different parts of Internet culture and helped popularize «Reddit reading» style videos, where people react to (usually strange or funny) Reddit posts. Wilbur started appearing in the channel’s first video, «Bulgarian Real Estate», which was posted on April 16, 2017. [8]
On July 28, 2019, SootHouse announced the channel would be going on an indefinite hiatus.
The Editor Wilbur ARG [ ]

Wilbur created an ARG (alternate reality game) known as the Editor Wilbur ARG on JackSucksAtLife’s channel from December 16, 2018 to February 23, 2019. Although there have been no updates on the ARG since, it is still unsolved.

The ARG centers on Wilbur and attempts to figure out why Wilbur is attempting to replace Kai as Jack’s editor. The ARG includes videos on Jack’s channel which contain sudden, out-of-place clips of Wilbur in odd locations, clips in which Wilbur reads out different passages, morse code, and more.
SMPLive [ ]
Wilbur joined SMPLive, a server for streamers, on April 7, 2019. The members of the SMP are only allowed to play while streaming and focus on producing comedic content. Streamers are often donated to by viewers to place hits on, or kill, other players.
Wilbur asked CallMeCarson, the founder of the server, to join in a SootHouse video. He later stated that he wanted to join SMPLive to talk with fellow streamer Jschlatt, with whom he made a lot of SMPLive content with.
While on SMPLive, Wilbur became known for his Whale Facts shop (which only sold incorrect facts), which is where the whale logo present on much of his merchandise is from, and for breaking many of the server rules (e.g. possessing golden apples). As a result, Wilbur became a self-proclaimed «dirty crime boy». He also gave himself the nickname «Soy-Boi».
Minecraft challenges and Skyblock Randomizer [ ]
In the Skyblock Randomizer Challenge, Wilbur took care of a fish called New Milo.
Shortly after joining SMPLive, Wilbur began creating Minecraft challenge videos such as «Minecraft, but Every 5 Minutes the Sea Level Rises (ft. jschlatt)», which often featured Schlatt. [10] He also created two seasons of Skyblock Randomizer episodes, where he starts a Minecraft world on a piece of bedrock and random new blocks drop down every time interval. Wilbur created the second season with Pyrocynical, and in both seasons, he owned pets that died quickly. These two Minecraft video types quickly became popular.
Minecraft Monday [ ]
Starting in July 2019, Wilbur participated in four Minecraft Mondays (debuting in Week 8), a competition hosted by Keemstar. During Week 12, he met and teamed with Ph1LzA. The two of them stopped streaming while in the event in order to keep their average viewer count above the requirement, but the team placed 6th. [11] During Week 13, Wilbur met and teamed with Technoblade, and the team placed 3rd. [12] After Week 12, Wilbur and Phil also met at TwitchCon 2019, where Wilbur also introduced Phil to members of SMPLive such as Schlatt and CallMeCarson. [11]
MC Championship [ ]
Starting on November 17, 2019, Wilbur participated in every MC Championship. He met Scott Smajor at Insomnia 64, and despite encountering several obstacles such as losing internet or being quarantined in Germany, he showed up at every event. [13] Prior to MCC 15, every team he was in has included at least one other SBI member.
In MCC 3, he brought widespread attention to a glitch (now called the «Wilbur glitch») which allowed players to stay stationary on the side of blocks during Rocket Spleef. [14] He also played while in Germany, as he was quarantined there.

In MCC 4, he teamed with Phil, Techno, and Tommy as the Purple Pandas and placed first. [15]
Prior to MCC 8, he met Tommy, Phil, and several others in Brighton, England, where Tommy bought two vlog guns (nerf guns). [16] In MCC 8, he made a deal with Tommy over returning the vlog guns and letting Tommy join SBI, and broke one of the vlog guns as a result. However, due to event glitches, they repeated this deal during MCC 9. Tommy officially became a Sleepy Boi, and Wilbur infamously accidentally broke Tommy’s second vlog gun after MCC 9. [17] [18]
In MCC 12, he teamed with Phil, GeorgeNotFound, and TapL as the Green Guardians and placed first again. [19]
Currently, Wilbur has teamed with Ranboo four times in a row and placed third three times in a row.
SMPEarth [ ]

On November 29, 2019, the Antarctic Empire used a loophole in the server’s claiming system to claim most of the world. Wilbur conducted the ensuing Saint-Malo Trials (acting as judge and executioner), where the members of the Antarctic Empire, Techno, Phil, VoiceOverPete, and ArlusFinch, were put on trial.
Wilbur released his last SMPEarth video, on the Saint-Malo Trials, on January 7, 2020. However, he continued streaming SMPEarth sporadically until April 11, 2020. While on SMPEarth, Wilbur gained the nickname «Social Butterfly».
You Laugh You Lose, 100 Player Challenges, and GeoGuessr [ ]
When not creating SMP content or music, Wilbur streams YLYL (You Laugh You Lose), 100 Player challenges, GeoGuessr, and other games on his Twitch channel and uploads them to his YouTube channel. All of these are very popular.
In YLYL, stream viewers donate in order to send Wilbur videos, which he attempts not to laugh at. He has created many variations of this challenge and has uploaded 15 YLYL videos in total.
In 100 Player challenges, 100 Twitch subscribers who are in his Discord server are able to join a Minecraft world in which Wilbur sets them challenges. Wilbur often streams these challenges with members of the Sleepy Bois, most often Tommy, and the challenges range from the players recreating Earth to digging tunnels underground as moles. Wilbur has made 14 of these videos in total.
Similar to YLYL and 100 Player challenges, Wilbur varies his GeoGuessr content. He is well-known in the Dream SMP community for being good at GeoGuessr and often challenges himself while playing the game (no moving, no zoom, etc.). He was also verified in the game on March 8, 2021. [22]
Love or Host [ ]

On February 4, 2020, Wilbur participated in the Rajjchelor (now known as Love or Host), a dating game show hosted by AustinShow where the participant talks to ten contestants (chosen by interview before the show) and eliminates them one by one. Before the show, contestants choose between «love» (they are interested in a relationship with the participant) or «host» (they only came on the show for clout). Wilbur and Niki Nihachu won the Rajjchelor, with Niki choosing «Love», and they created several videos together. [24] However, both have asserted multiple times that they are only friends. [25] Wilbur also met JustaMinx during the Rajjchelor.
On November 6, 2020, Wilbur participated in Niki’s Love or Host. Although he chose «love», Niki eliminated him in the final round. [26] On March 19, 2021, Wilbur participated in a platonic Love or Host with Tommy eliminating the contestants; Weston chose «host» and won. [27]
Dream SMP [ ]
Prior to joining the Dream SMP, Wilbur encouraged Tommy to bring a story to the Dream SMP, which led to the Disc War. [28] Wilbur then joined the SMP on July 16, 2020 and introduced Schlatt to Tommy. After Schlatt was banned, however, Wilbur stayed on the server and quickly became a major part of the server both lore-wise and behind the scenes.
Inspired by the TV show Breaking Bad, Wilbur founded an illegal drug (potion) empire on the server. His plan for roleplay was at first derailed due to the lack of organization between server members. As the plot became more coordinated, however, Wilbur developed the nation of L’Manberg, as he had always wanted to be a revolutionary and was a fan of the musical Hamilton. He quickly recruited other members, including Tommy, before conflict with Dream sparked the L’Manberg War of Independence. At first, Wilbur planned for L’Manberg to fall, similar to the «Ozymandias» episode in Breaking Bad. However, Tommy unexpectedly traded for L’Manberg’s independence on August 2, 2020, and Wilbur announced himself as the president.

The Dream SMP storyline greatly increased the popularity of all of the people involved, including Wilbur and Tommy, and L’Manberg continued to be the center of the Dream SMP storyline. Several other popular content creators were also invited to take part in the story, including Schlatt (who was unbanned), Techno, and Phil. On November 16, 2020, the members of the server fought the Manberg-Pogtopia War, during which Wilbur’s character died.
With the death of his character, Wilbur took a step back from the Dream SMP and streaming, although many SMP conflicts continued to revolve around L’Manberg. He continued to play on the server as Ghostbur, a ghostly counterpart of his character, but he did not stream during this time.
On April 29, 2021, Wilbur’s character was revived with a new allegiance to Dream, who was considered the main antagonist by the rest of the server. Due to his return to the server, he has returned to writing the plot. [29] [30]
Wilbur also played a major part in developing the Dream SMP. As the head writer, he transitioned it into scripted improvisation, where improvisation is used to move from one planned plot point to the next. This style of writing continues on the server today, although the plot points have become more defined.
Wilbur is considered one of the best actors on the SMP, and his Wilbur character often furthers the plot.
Rust and Origins SMP [ ]
Wilbur created a Rust server on January 3, 2021, where he played with several other content creators, including Phil, Tommy, and Tubbo. [31] More people joined later, and Wilbur and Tommy started a religion around a sphere-like structure they called The Dome. Wilbur and Tommy created Origins SMP, an SMP modded with the Origins mod and related add-ons, on February 11, 2021. [33] He chose the Phantom origin, which allows him to go into an invisible Phantom state, and organized the construction of several builds and the introduction of several new members. He currently streams Origins SMP content occasionally.

Wilbur began releasing music in 2018. He posted his first song, «The «Nice Guy» Ballad», on his second YouTube channel «Wilbur Music» on January 21, 2018. [34] He continued to release music that included many references of and satirized Internet culture, including «Karen, please come back I miss the kids». [35] These quickly became very popular.
His EP Maybe I Was Boring was released on Bandcamp on December 25, 2019 and included songs that were removed from his album Your City Gave Me Asthma, which was released on Spotify on June 25, 2020 and featured seven tracks.
Wilbur released the first single in his e-girl trilogy, «I’m in Love with an E-Girl», on January 29, 2020. [36] The next two songs, «Internet Ruined Me» and «Your New Boyfriend», were released on May 25 and December 11, 2020, respectively. [37] [38] The music video for «Your New Boyfriend» trended at #1 on YouTube in the US and UK, beating Taylor Swift’s music video for «willow», and peaked at 65 on the UK Singles Chart. [39]
In December 2020, Wilbur began working on a song called «Soft Boy». Although he completed the instrumentals and lyrics and teased it several times on streams, Wilbur had trouble producing the song and decided to shelve it. [40] [41]
Lovejoy [ ]
On February 4, Wilbur announced that he joined a band with Joe Goldsmith, Ash Kabosu, and Mark Boardman, and that it would be his first time as a lead vocalist of a band. [42] The band’s name, Lovejoy, was announced shortly afterwards.
Lovejoy’s first EP, Are You Alright?, was released on May 9, 2021 alongside two music videos. A second EP, Pebble Brain, followed in October 13, 2021 with two more music videos. Due to the EPs’ success, Lovejoy’s songs appeared on the UK Top 75 and Billboard 200, and Pebble Brain placed in the UK Top 40. [43] Lovejoy also peaked at #6 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart.

«Well, first of all, I’d make us some food that we can pack and take it to the park, having nice picnic at around sunset» eret smiled

«yes im sorry niki» i said into my mic

«anyways, i think its been long enough, who do you think is the worst option for y/n » austin asked «starting with. karl «

sykkuno sat there for a minute before speaking «i think that wilbur is the worst for y/n..» he spoke nervously
«hmm» i hum, looking around then sending my answer to austin
«alright, eret. you are safe» he moved eret to safety «which means wilbur, karl and sykkuno you are in the bottom three» he let them speak, not much being different from last time they were there «alright so, the person who is safe is. karl!» he announced, moving karl to safety «its down to wilbur and sykkuno and the person going home is. sykkuno! you are going home» he said «now, sykkuno had the chance to pick between love and host..and he chose. LOVE he chose love!» he let sykkuno shout out his channel and then removed him
i felt so bad at this point «oh no. » i shook my head «alright. the last three. god please dont all be host» i whisper to myself, which makes austin laugh
«okay, you see someone flirting with y/n, what do you do?» austin asked «starting with wilbur»
«oh well, i trust y/n so it wouldnt be a problem unless they were clearing making them uncomfortable if that was happening i’d probably just go up and try to remove y/n from the situation» wilbur spoke calmly
«well like wilbur said it’d only be a problem if they were making y/n uncomfortable but id be really smooth about it, i’d walk over and hold y/ns hand and say something cool like ‘everything okay sweetie?’ » karl smiled
eret shook her head a little «those are great and all but it simply isnt as great as my gay power» she stated simply «i would simply walk up and my gay energy would scare the person away» she said
«i have to choose from that?! oh god. » i put my head in my hands and soon send austin my answer
«now, it looks like your all in the bottom three, but i am going to save one of you. and that is. » he paused for a moment «ERET you are safe»
«oh thank god» eret let out a relieved sigh
«and the person going home is. » he let time pass for awhile «WILBUR!» he shouts «KARL!» he shouts again «one of you is going home, and the other will move on» he spoke «and the one moving on is. KARL! » he said as wilburs expression dropped a little » karl you are moving on. HOME thats right! karl you are going home!»

«oh i was about to start hitting my desk..» wilbur said, kinda in shock that he wasnt getting taken out of the show

«oh thank god» i let out a sigh of relief as wilbur was moved to a room with eret and austin told me it was time to decide who wins, he then left me alone in a call and went to check in on the guys, it took a lot of me talking to myself, which im sure everyone probably noticed, it took me about ten minutes to message austin who i wanted to get rid of, because god was this difficult to figure out, i was moved into the room with everyone else as austin did his normal taking to long to tell anyone anything
«the person going home is. it is. wilbur-» austin began, getting cut off by wilbur hitting his desk «will you tell eret that they are going home?!»

«Eret» wilbur whined softly «. austin said to tell you your a bitch so go away» He hummed
«He did not say that!» Eret crossed her arms

«Uhm. » I looked at wilbur «when did you want to stream?»

«Go back to your office wilbur» I sighed as I turn to look at him

«your just saying that because you werent allowed to change your answer on my love or host» wilbur chuckled and minx just looked pissed and she looked like she was yelling but she was muted so we wont find out what she was saying
«anyways i think sykkuno is the worst for them because hes just too sweet, i feel like they just wouldnt work well as a couple » wilbur said
sykkuno nodded «please dont hate me- but i think schlatt is the worst for her- he just doesnt seem to really care about her so far..»he spoke shyly
schlatt nodded «understandable » he shrugged «i think minx is the worst for them, because minx probaby chose host since she has horrible taste and cant make good decisions «
«that was mean!» niki frowned a little «a-anyway..i dont want to answer this question but uhm..i think. schlatt..is the worst for her. » she sounded like she wasnt sure
karl cleared his throat «i think eret is the worst for them, since he and austin seem to be flirting a lot»

«alright, y/n you know the drill» austin said, i nodded and sent austin my answer, he then put karl, minx and wilbur in the bottom three

«is that really the question?» austin laughed
«yes. its important » tommy said
«okay, starting with niki» austin said, giving niki the chance to speak

«alright, the bottom three are. sykkuno. schlatt. and. karl» austin said, everyone gave an answer, mosly just pretty similar to their other answers last time they were in the bottom three, so it was hard to really choose who was next to go, maybe the next round of answers will help
«I’m not changing my answer» I stated
«Alright, and person going back into the safe zone is. KARL congratulations » He said as he moved karl up «now, the person going home is. IT IS. » he paused for awhile «SCHLATT YOU ARE BEING ELIMINATED «
Sykkunos jaw dropped as he covered his mouth «really. I thought I was going home for sure..» he looked so shocked
«Now, before this show schlatt had the chance to choose between love and host, he choose. » he did a drum roll «HE CHOOSE LOVE YOU GUYS, LOVE»
My jaw dropped «WHAT? Hold on- wait-» I can’t believe he chose love
«Huh?» Schlatt questioned as he held a happy meal «oh yeah, I chose love» He shrugged
I blinked, schlatt shouted out his channel and left «I feel so dumb. «
«As you should! You could have ended up with SCHLATT now what’s better then that?» Tommy said

Chapter 1: Replies

Tommy was nervous, very nervous. He was finally doing Love or Host. The only problem he had was…He wasn’t exactly… straight. He wasn’t ashamed of being gay, it’s just when he found out about him liking guys he was so far in with his “I LOVE WOMEN” bit that he didn’t know how to escape it. He didn’t like always being called the “token straight”
Tom sighed, leaning back on his chair and staring blankly at his monitor. He had Twitter open and was observing all the reactions to his love or host announcement. His eyes scanned across replies until one made him light up, a grin spreading onto his face.
He stared at it for a minute, leaning forward and placing his head in his hands. He suddenly had an idea.
Tommy- “Please come on Ranboo”
He kept staring at his post, waiting to see Ranboo reply. When a couple of minutes passed and he still didn’t have a response he pulled out his phone, pulled up Ranboos’ number, and rang him.
“Hello,” said a deep voice from the other line, Tommy blushed slightly, nervously shifting in his seat. “Ranboo! My friennnd” he dragged out. He heard a chuckle from the other side of the call. “Come on Toms, what do you want?” Ranboo questioned.
Tommy’s face flushed more at the name. “Did you see my tweet?” He said, ignoring the question completely. He heard a groan and then the sound of typing from the other side of the call. Suddenly he heard laughter. “Are you serious?” The elder laughed out.
Tommy nodded, then realized Ranboo couldn’t see him and excitedly said “Yes! Come on Ranboo. Pleease.” He dragged out, pouting lightly. He listened as the other sighed, and started bouncing in his seat, knowing he won. There was one again typing from the other side of the call, and then he got a Twitter notification.
Ranboo- “I guess I’ll just have to turn on the charm”
He laughed, “Yes! Thanks, Boo! I’ll feel so much better having you with me.” He smiled to himself. “I’ll make sure to win this competition,” Ranboo said. He scoffed, “I don’t know Ranbooo, I’ll have so many women fighting over me.”
The only response he received was a light chuckle and a quick “bye Toms” before the call ended. Tommy suddenly stood up. ‘Oh no… I just invited my crush to be on my love or host!’
He started frantically pacing back and forth in his room. ‘Fuuuck, I’m going to embarrass myself in front of him!’ He loves having Ranboo around, the only problem is, that he usually blocks out what most say to focus on him. He’s also been told by Tubbo that he sometimes gets love hearts when he looks at Ranboo, whatever that means.
Sighing, he collapsed back onto his bed. ‘Oh! Tubbo can help!’ Tubbo has been the one he’s been talking about his crush on Ranboo to, he knows everything. Hopefully, he can help. He rolled onto his stomach, supporting his upper body on his elbows as he opened discord.
He quickly scrolled to Toby, making sure he wasn’t streaming before sending a message.
Toby! Emergency! Code R Code R!
He laid his face down, waiting for the reply.

Some background info for those who might need it:
George was on a Twitch show called “Love or Host” which is essentially a dating show, but the relationship isn’t permanent or anything; it’s just meant to be wholesome. After the show, the winner went on a Minecraft date with George, which he streamed on his own Twitch channel. The full streams can be found on AustinShow and GeorgeNotFound respectively.

This is an AU interpretation of what happened after these events. What I write isn’t necessarily what I believe happened. This is simply just some much needed content for the dreamnotfound shippers after this insane day lol.

Work Text:
Dream had George’s stream playing on his desktop monitor as he heard him finally saying his goodbyes to his audience, featuring Sapnap’s singing. He wasn’t actually watching since he was scrolling through Twitter on his phone, but he could hear the exhaustion in his voice. The British boy had been streaming non-stop for nearly ten hours and he started when it was already 9 p.m. for him.
And what a batshit crazy ten hours it was. Dream had been there to witness the whole thing. He had joined in as a guest caller when George was on «Love or Host,» watching as multiple girls tried to win his affection in a dating game. Then almost immediately after, George had begun streaming his Minecraft date with the winner, Minx, on his own channel, which again Dream was there to help set up. He had left them for a while but then came back after Minx suddenly spit on George and left.
By then George was already spent. The poor boy had gone through a series of emotional ups and downs for the past couple hours, and Dream could see that it was starting to take a toll on him.
And still, Dream teased him.
Looking back, Dream still wasn’t quite sure what came over him. It came out like word vomit the way he chided George for not choosing him in the end and breaking his and several other girls’ hearts. Even his tweeting was more reckless for then he suddenly found himself egging Andrea, the runner up, on to come onto Minecraft with him and get their revenge on George and tease him together. She eventually did, and Dream felt nothing but an almost sadistic joy watching her try her best to beat him up since she had never actually played Minecraft before. George, of course, simply took it, which he had been forced to do the whole night; just take whatever crazy thing was thrown at him.
And Dream didn’t stop with the teasing. He called George mean and a pussy even when Twitter and the Twitch chat was already giving him enough flack. He first had an inkling that maybe he was taking things too far when Sapnap joined the world and immediately hit the chat with a “what the hell is this dream”.
It was like he was calling him out directly, which Dream suspected was probably the case. Sapnap knew him the longest and could read him better than anyone else. He had been following along with both streams as well and knew that George wasn’t the one who invited Andrea onto the server. The thing was that Dream didn’t know how to answer his question. He couldn’t really explain how they had all gotten here or why Dream had added onto the mess by doing all of this.
The easy answer was that it was just funny, that it was all just jokes. He wasn’t really angry at George for not picking him and going on a cute Minecraft date with the one he did. He wasn’t really pissed at George for breaking his heart and then having fun playing chess with Andrea and showing her how to play and build and complimenting her Nether bridge they all built together. He wasn’t really mad at George for agreeing to go on this stupid dating show in the first place. It was all just for fun, just for laughs.
So then why couldn’t he stop bringing it up?
Which brought him here, listening to George close off his stream and complain for the billionth time that his cheeks hurt because he’s been smiling so much. For reasons Dream refused to unpack, it made his stomach ache. He felt a bit guilty though for causing George a bit more unnecessary stress than needed, so right before the stream ended, Dream felt the need to clear up some misunderstandings and say that all the parties involved were okay and that there were no hard feelings. It was worth it seeing the relief light up on George’s face.
It was only when the stream was officially over that Dream abandoned all his electronics and plopped himself face down on his bed. Being in Florida, it was a bit late in the night for him, but he knew that it was even later for George. The sun may have already started to go up for the UK-based boy which worried Dream. George always complained about having a shity sleep schedule, and Dream was sure that this insane day was no help for him.
He pressed his face flat against his duvet, trying to ignore all the weird things that were going on within his stomach and throughout his body. All these weird pricks and aches he felt were foreign to him, and they only got worse the more he thought about George and all these damn girls he spent so much time with today.
He lifted his head up with a jolt. Woah. There was no need for that to come out that harsh. The girls did nothing wrong. George knew what he was getting into when he agreed to be on the show and so did Dream, and he knew that the decisions that George made were none of his business. He huffed out a sigh. He needed to go to bed. This entire day was just weird, and he probably just needed to sleep it off.
He went through his nightly routine, turning off his computer, putting on fresh pajamas, and brushing his teeth, all while avoiding Twitter as much as possible. It didn’t take long for him to get back into bed, but before he could get under the covers, his phone began to ring. Standing up and collecting it from where he left it on his computer desk, he couldn’t help the small smile that appeared on his face after seeing that the contact spelled out “gogy
The first thing he heard was a heavy sigh and a couple seconds of silence. “. Okay, so that was stressful. Also, hi.”
All the tension Dream was carrying suddenly broke in that moment, swiftly exiting his body in the form of a wheezing laugh. He had been talking to George pretty much all day, but there was something about being on a call alone with him that just brought instant good vibes. “You’re such an idiot, George.”
“Whatever, Dream… Were you sleeping?”
“No. Was about to though. The real question is why aren’t you? Isn’t it, like, 6 a.m. over there?”
“Hmm, yeah. Just… Just wanted to talk to you for a bit though.”
Dream plopped back down on his bed, ignoring the little swoop he felt in his chest. A part of him wanted to acknowledge how sweet that was and how nice it made him feel, but Dream’s pride turned that response into a scoff and a, “So now you wanna talk to me. You leave me for some girls, and now that they’re gone, you come crawling back—”
Dream’s words halted in his throat and his body froze up the way it always did when George used his real name. He never said it except for when people occasionally request it on a stream, so using it on his own let Dream know that he was being completely serious. Dream cleared his throat to shake off the initial shock. “Right. Sorry. Um, what did you wanna talk about?”
The other line was quiet for a couple seconds before Dream heard another groan. “Fuck. I don’t really know. Just… Did you mean what you said? At the end of my stream, I mean. You think Minx is really okay?”
Dream resisted the impulsive urge to scoff. It was a completely valid question for George to ask, but still. He couldn’t believe that even after ten hours, he was still thinking about these girls and their feelings. “Yes, George, ” Dream started with a bit of attitude in his tone. “She’s fine. I don’t think either one of them is genuinely upset over all this. Actually, you might be the only one that is. So just relax, okay?”
More silence on the other line, but this time it was much more prolonged. Dream simply sat in it, his throat feeling constricted to keep his own emotions in, but it got to a point where he was worried that the call might’ve dropped somehow. He was just about to say something just to make sure George was still there when he heard his softer voice float through the speaker.
“Dream. Are you… are you really upset with me?”
A heavy pang of guilt came straight for his chest. Through everything they’d gone through together, Dream never once thought that George would think he’d ever be really upset with him. “What?”
He could hear George’s quiet stuttering, no doubt trying to arrange his thoughts into a cohesive sentence. “It’s just…” he finally started, his voice soft and careful and… afraid? “I mean, I know it’s probably just a joke, but you’ve kind of been coming for me since I started streaming. I mean, you always do, but I don’t know, to me it just felt like you were really…”
His voice got even quieter after the pause. “I don’t know. Am… am I just being oversensitive about all this?”
More guilt, except this one felt like a burning throughout his skin. Even Dream could be guilty of forgetting that George could feel hurt about things. They talked shit to each other all the time, and George had always taken it and retaliated like an absolute champ, but even he had a breaking point, a threshold someone could cross before he really started to take it personally. Dream was realizing now that he crossed that line.
He moved so that he went from sitting on his bed to laying on it, his face staring up blankly at the ceiling. The worst thing about this was George thought this was his fault. That he was the one that was being too serious about it when the reality was that Dream… Well, Dream was realizing now that maybe he really did want George to hurt, and it made him feel like a complete asshole.
But this wasn’t about Dream and how he felt. Not anymore. “No, you’re not… Tell me how you’re feeling, George.”
Dream couldn’t see him, but he could feel it in the way his voice changed that George finally abandoned his composure and was able to vent the way he needed to.
“I just don’t want people to think I’m actually this arsehole who breaks girls’ hearts. I didn’t mean for this whole thing with Minx to happen, but she did spit on me. And people were saying that’s just her way of showing affection, but… I just don’t know. And then people were upset that Andrea came onto the server and some thought that I was being a little harsh on her and Minx, and now Twitter’s gone all crazy, and it’s all just—”
Dream waited patiently for George to keep going, his chest constricting tighter with each passing moment. It was currently cloudy in Florida, meaning there was no moonlight shining through Dream’s window to illuminate the room. It was almost completely black, and the only sense Dream could ground himself on was the sound of George’s obnoxious fan blowing loud enough that it could be heard on the other line. George’s volume was barely above that when he spoke again.
“I just don’t want people to hate me… I never meant to hurt anyone. I should’ve never gone on that stupid show.” He scoffed before continuing, his tone slightly more sarcastic. “And maybe you’re right. I should’ve just picked you and avoided this whole mess.”
The swooping feeling in Dream’s chest returned. It’s funny how things could quickly turn on a person. An hour ago, that’s what he wanted to hear from George the most, but now that he had, it didn’t feel as good as he wanted it to feel.
Dream inhaled heavily, sure that George could hear him on the other side. His mind had gone back to the first time they met in person, outside of a damn Pizza Hut in Bristol. He remembered the stupid way he screamed his name, his real name, from the distance when he arrived and promptly sprinted towards him to give him the best hug Dream’s ever gotten in his life. He remembered how hard he had laughed, how happy the both of them felt to finally see each other without a screen between them.
George had always made him happy without even trying. Now Dream felt like he had to do everything in his power to make George feel the same.
So, naturally, he began with, “You really are an idiot, George.”
“No, seriously, let me finish. You’re an idiot for thinking that anyone could genuinely hate you. George, you were literally so sweet and nice to those girls that all of them except one chose to love you instead of host. Both Minx and Andrea had a great time with you. I promise you that they did, and that’s what really matters in the end, right?
“And with Twitter and the chat, just forget about all that. I’m serious, just get off of Twitter right now. Don’t let the bad fans or even the good fans get to you. At the end of the day they don’t really know you, not like I do, so they have no business making assumptions about you or telling you what to do.
“You’re not an asshole, George, or a heartbreaker, or mean, or a pussy, and I’m sorry I played a part in calling you those things. You’re not. You’re…” Dream’s voice faltered as he took in audible shaky breath. He didn’t know what was wrong with him. He suddenly felt so exposed and vulnerable, which he hated more than anything, and if he kept going the feeling would only get worse.
But once again George’s voice broke through the darkness, his own voice still so, so soft. “Dream?” It was already different than before, delicate with expectation, like Dream had the power to shatter it at any time.
Vulnerability be damned.
If Dream thought he was word vomiting before, then he had no idea what the hell all that was. Word spewage maybe. He tried to be nice when complimenting George, but there was no force strong enough in the world that could stop him from calling the other boy an idiot. After he had stopped though, again, the room was filled with silence. Dream thought that he would still feel awful and exposed after revealing all that to George, but strangely enough, he didn’t. It felt… kind of freeing actually. It’s not like this was his first time complimenting George or anything like that. Quite the opposite really. He was always telling the shorter man how much he loved him, but up until this point there was always an atmosphere of joking around them whenever those words were said. Now that Dream was here without it, it suddenly was a lot harder to say them again with complete honesty.
“ You’re the idiot. When were you gonna tell me you’re in love with me, Dream?”
Dream swore that he went into cardiac arrest. “Wha— I’m not. I’m not in love—”
Dream was absolutely speechless. Almost. “What the hell, George? I say all these nice things about you, and the only thing you say back to me is that I’m an idiot and a simp? Nah, you know what, I’m taking it all back. You’re literally the wor—”
“I love you too, Dream.”
No, now he was in cardiac arrest. “. What.”
George, the little shit, laughed again. “I said ‘I love you.’”
“I— So what, you can say it to me so easily when we’re on call, but when I ask you to do it on stream you never want to?”
“Ah—” was the only sound that could come out of Dream’s mouth. This… This was driving him a bit insane. It wasn’t the first time George said those words to him. Donors had tricked him into saying it before on stream and on rare occasions George has been coerced into saying it. But this was completely unprecedented. No one was forcing him. He said it on his own and so genuinely too that Dream thought he might actually die if his chest grew any tighter. A new kind of heat spread throughout his body, hotter than the guilt he had felt earlier but much more pleasurable. George… George loved him.
George let out another breathless laugh, and Dream could feel his cheeks pulling his lips up into a smile. “Which one do you want it to mean?” he then asked, his voice low with sleepiness and his accent more prominent than ever,
It was Dream’s turn to flush completely red. “You— I— Just— You know what, I take it back. I hate you. You’re so annoying. Shut up.”
George laughed again, and Dream thought that he was willing to say just about anything to hear it over and over again. As embarrassed and played as he felt, the smile never left his face. He was glad that he was alone in his completely dark room because he didn’t want anyone, not even himself, to see what he must’ve looked like right now.
“The sun’s coming up,” George suddenly said, and Dream could imagine the orange just beginning to peak over the horizon and slowly illuminate George’s bedroom.
Dream then remembered their staggering time difference. “Go to sleep, you moron. You’ve been up for, like 20 hours now.”
“Hmm, maybe,” George softly replied.
Another silence enveloped the two, but this one was a little different. It was a new kind of comfort, a contentedness with just being together but also not really being together. If Dream was being honest, he could’ve stayed like that all the way into his night/George’s morning, but George broke the silence again.
“… Thanks. For talking to me. For everything.”
Another splash of warmth filled Dream’s chest. His voice was completely genuine when he responded with, “Of course. Anytime.”
A brief silence. Dream could feel George rearing up to tease him. “I love you.»
Dream scoffed again, but he couldn’t bring himself to retaliate how he normally would. Focusing on the fire that was blazing through him, he replied. “I love you, too.”
Neither of them felt the need to say a proper goodbye. Dream just pulled his phone away from his ear and watched as the call screen ended and switched back to his home screen. He waited until his phone automatically locked before smiling wildly to himself. He gleefully kicked his way under his sheets and continued to smile face first into his pillow. It didn’t take very long for sleep to overcome him, his grin seemingly permanently etched into his face.

DreamNotFound is the slash ship between Dream and GeorgeNotFound from the Dream SMP fandom.

Canon
Dream is seen in nearly all of the videos on George’s channel and George is featured in over half of Dream’s videos. They custom code Minecraft plugins which they use to challenge themselves in Minecraft. Their challenges usually involve one person trying to beat the game while being hunted by the other, or working together to beat the game. They also co-own and created the Dream Tech channel together.
Dream and George are linked together in Speedrunning Minecraft As Siamese Twins. : Dream controls the player’s body, and George can place and break blocks. Throughout the video, George is repeatedly terrified by Dream’s parkour stunts and yells at Dream multiple times to «eat the bread!» The video is supposedly sponsored by George, but it was really Dream trying to get more people to watch George’s videos and support him; since as Dream stated at the beginning of the video, he «loves [George] a lot.»
When Dream and George are about to get sucked into the black hole, Dream uses his only Ender Pearl to teleport out, leaving George behind. Despite this, George urges for Dream to survive for all of them. However, Dream gets pulled into the black hole at the end of the video, resulting in the following dialogue:
George ended up telling Dream he loves him at the very end of his MC Championship stream.
They were featured together as one of the pairings in Dangthatsalongname’s (also known as Scott Smajor) Escape Room Valentines Edition video. Although they didn’t win the light-hearted competition, many viewers commented on their superb communication compared to the other pairings.
Livestreams
In a BadBoyHalo livestream, he asked Dream if he would marry him, Dream replied no. However, when Bad asked if Dream would marry George, Dream paused and then replied «maybe» and that he would think about it. Dream says later in the same stream that he would marry George if he were a woman.
According to Dream on one of George’s facecam livestreams, George had tried the previous day to get Dream to marry him off-camera, with the excuse of getting a visa into the U.S. This apparently lasted fifteen minutes, with George telling Dream the benefits of them marrying and that if Dream wanted to marry someone else, they could just divorce. Some fans have described George’s reaction to Dream’s recount to the stream as embarrassed.
In one of George’s facecam livestreams at 1:46:24, he reads «isle of dream» from a donation which sounded like «I love Dream». He doesn’t realize what he’s said until Dream starts laughing.
During the last two hours or so of an 8 hour stream (MC Championship) on June 13, 2020; Dream and George made a «deal.» If Dream facetimed George for at least 30 seconds, George would have to say, «I love you, Dream.» Considering that both of these actions were out of their comfort zones, it was considered a big deal for both the streamers and the viewers.
Dream had facetimed Sapnap on stream with no problem, but seemed to be nervous about showing George his face. Dream insisted that George had already seen his face before, but George said that he couldn’t «recall» anything like that happening. When the time comes to actually «facetime,» Dream shows George his profile picture instead of his actual face, arguing that George had asked to see Dream’s face, not Clay’s (Clay is Dream’s real name). Dream begins to actually get mad at George, saying that even if he had shown him his face, George would’ve found a way to not fulfill his end of the deal, a scammer, essentially. He bans George from their teamspeak and unbans him a couple minutes later. When George rejoins, Dream seems genuinely upset/angry, and asks George to just end the stream and drop the subject, before leaving the teamspeak. George spends a couple minutes building up the nerve, then turns off his facecam, and says «I love you, Dream.» The stream is ended right after he says this.
When George asks Dream why he refuses to show him his face, Dream says that George «makes [him] shy.» George seems confused by his answer and responds that it’s fine if he doesn’t want to.
During the Minecraft Championships Week 6 event, George has trouble identifying a lime wool block for the build battle. Dream tries to help by telling him, «it’s the same color as me.» Many Dream Team fans found this as a short sweet moment. For the Halloween-themed MCC11, Dream and George dressed up as members of their Harry Potter houses respectively along with their team. They ended up winning the Championships and Dream «kissed» George during the celebration.
Dream SMP
During Dream and George’s first livestreams on Twitch, they decide to create a survival multiplayer world to build a house together. This SMP has since welcomed dozens of other streamers, leading to the starting of factions, countries, and wars. The original house that Dream and George built became known as The Community House. As they were working, George read a donation from someone who’s username was «baby», so when George thanked them using their name Dream sounds jealous and asks who was he talking to. The Community House was eventually destroyed, and when it was Dream was genuinely upset. While he says it was because it was a historic building as the first of the server, some fans speculate whether its because it was Dream and Georges house together.
At the beginning of the Dream Team SMP vs. L’Manberg War, Dream names George as his second-in-command. They are canonically best friends and Dream is noticeably very protective of George. Although Dream is the «true villain» of the Dream SMP, it’s unknown what he truly feels about George, as some fans have questioned his decision to make George the new king of the Dream SMP, a decision which led to George losing a life despite Dream’s efforts to protect him.
After Tommy burns George’s newly built house down, Dream builds an obsidian wall around the new L’Manberg as payback.
Love or Host
During the Love or Host Auditions for George, Dream was not invited but due to pressure from both the audience and Dream himself, he was added into the call. Once in the call, he says that he’ll be the one to «win George’s heart» and «take him to the crafting table.» The latter of which is a dirty or suggestive inside-joke in the fandom. He also says at one point that if he were a candidate, the girls wouldn’t stand a chance against him when he came down to winning George’s heart.
In the same audition livestream, Dream says that the only man he’s into is George, and tells Sapnap to «fuck off» after Sapnap interrupts his love proclamation with his own.
During George’s Love or Host, Dream tweeted four times suggesting George to kick a certain girl off. In the end, JustaMinx won and choose ‘love’, which led to her and George having a Minecraft date. Despite his earlier tweet, Dream and Minx were friendly to one another and even laughed together at George because he thought Minx would’ve chosen ‘host’. However, their date ends up foiling near the end and Minx leaves the call, leaving Dream and George alone. George tries to give Dream a poppy flower but he doesn’t notice.
Among Us
They have a tendency to defend each other during meetings, but Dream is known to defend George even if he knows the latter is the Imposter. In a BadBoyHalo Among Us livestream, Dream defends George from the rest of the crew by saying he and George were «literally holding hands in the hallway.» This is followed by George saying that Dream’s hand is warm. During this livestream, BadBoyHalo notices Dream’s behavior and says, «Dream knows it’s George, he’s just simping hard,» when the crew almost fails to vote out George because of Dream purposely acting suspicious in an attempt to get the crew to tie their votes.
While waiting for a game to start, Dream hides behind one of the boxes in the dropship and tells George to hide with him. George joins him and a screenshot of the two behind the box ended up becoming a small meme on Twitter. Also, when Karl joins the two behind the box, Dream stops laughing with George and says, «No, not you [Karl].»
Jackbox Games
During a round of Jackbox rap battle where Dream was up against George, Dream wrote some extremely sexual and suggestive lyrics which George found funny and asked Dream what was wrong with him as a joke.
George once tweeted a link to a «selfie» (a picture of his Minecraft skin at a beach) he took on Instagram, and Dream replied, «wow wanna date?» George then responded, «where you taking me?» It was quite obviously a joke, but many still found it cute.
In late 2019, George posted a questionable mic test in which he yells, «Don’t touch me there, Dream!» [1] Ear/Headphones recommended
As an April Fool’s Day joke, George tweeted, «Happy to announce that @DreamWasTaken and I are getting married in 2021!» [2] This inspired an influx of wedding fan art. Later on, in Dream’s first Twitch stream, George actually built them a wedding altar, complete with a Villager priest and rows of seats. However, after an argument with Dream, George later tweeted that the wedding was off. [3]
Dream replied to a tweet claiming himself to be the OG (original) George simp. [4]
On June 1st, 2020, (coincidentally, the start of Pride Month) George replied to one of Dream’s tweets saying «love you dream ❤️» Dream retweeted this. [5] In a later stream, Dream revealed to have paid George to tweet this.
#dreamisoverparty trended in the United States (eventually reaching up to #2 trending and more than 14k tweets) during and after June 13’s stream, because Dream tricked George into saying a genuine «I love you» on stream in exchange for a minute of facetime, but Dream did not keep his end of the deal. On July 24th, Dream jokingly deactivated his second twitter (@dreamwastaken2) briefly after a thread with Maia, also known as mxmtoon, over her apparent flirting with George where she called him cute and sang him a song. It is important to take away the fact that this whole thing was a joke, and that neither side were actually upset. Following this, fans messaged Dream on various platforms sympathizing over his «breakup.»
From July to October 2020, Dream claimed that he had flown to the U.K. and met George and WilburSoot in real life, and that George had recorded a vlog. For three months, fans anticipated a U.K. vlog. On October 1st, 2020, Dream suddenly tweeted the truth behind why the vlog was taking so long to come out, which was because it wasn’t real and that he hadn’t actually gone to the U.K. He said that George was afraid that the fans would be upset if he posted the planned prank vlog. [6] However, by posting the truth unexpectedly by himself, Dream took most of the backlash from angry fans; he also tried to apologize by posting pictures of his cat.
Dream tweeted saying that George said «I love you» to him privately in a voice channel, and due to odd circumstances he describes, not many fans believed him. George even responded to the tweet saying Dream was writing his own fanfiction. [7]
On November 5th 2020, Dream tweeted that he hasn’t done a face reveal because then there’ll be two pretty best friends. Considering that Dream has multiple best friends, this tweet can be taken in two ways: The first one is that the best friend he was referring to was George, therefore implying that he thinks George is pretty; or the second way, which is that he thinks Sapnap is pretty. The first option is far more likely however, since most of Dream’s fans know George more than they know Sapnap.
On January 20th 2021, George replied to a DreamNotFound fanart with ‘hot’ on his main twitter account. Even though it was most likely a joke, many found it confusing. [8]
For Valentine’s Day 2022, George rejected to be Dream’s Valentine’s for the second year in a row. In response, Dream blacked out his Twitter and went on a ‘love is dead’ tyrant in response to other content creators wishing a happy Valentine’s Day. Dream also removed the LOVE U from his Twitter bio, leading to fans joking that it was never meant for them, but rather for George. [9]
On February 20th 2022, in honor of potentially the last ever Minecraft Manhunt, Dream wrote out separately genuine kind tweets to George, Sapnap and BadBoyHalo, thanking them for everything and how he feels for them. George was the first person he wrote about. [10]
On March 15, 2022, Dream cussed out a fan after they claimed SapNotFound was better than DreamNotFound. [11] [12]
On April 1, 2022, for an April Fools Day joke, Dream tweeted he hated GeorgeNotFound, claiming he’s dumb, stupid and that he sucks. A couple minutes later, Dream replied to that tweet saying he was only «April fooling», asking George to ignore it and begged him to forgive him. [13]

Dream has spoken up about DreamNotFound shippers on his friend Hbomb’s stream on November 21st. [23] In it, he defends his shippers, saying «Everybody expresses their creativity in a different way, if you think that’s creepy, leave them be.» This is also not the first time Dream has commented his thoughts on his ships, for he and George have said in April 2020 that they did not care if people shipped them since they find the fan works funny. [24]

The ship name «Gream» was the original name for DreamNotFound when it first appeared in January 2020. However, the name started falling out of use after Dream and George made fun of how disgusting it sounded on a stream. In turn, fans joke how- since Dream’s real name is Clay- that if he were to go by his real name, then his and George’s ship name would’ve been Gay.
The first post ever created under the #dreamnotfound tag on Tumblr was a piece of fanart by user, 4oh3-dot-zip, on 30 January, 2020.
Fans initially started shipping Dream and George because of their dynamic in videos. One of Dream’s iconic lines is him saying George’s name creepily during Minecraft Manhunts, usually coupled with him sneaking up on or ambushing his friend. Oftentimes, much to the fans’ amusement, George somehow becomes the hunted in any scenario of Minecraft Manhunt, regardless of whether or not he was the hunter. As such, one of George’s iconic lines is him screaming Dream’s name when the latter hunts him or gets his health low. The ship began gaining popularity when Dream’s channel blew up and people started paying more attention to his and George’s interactions.
Following Dream’s unexpected appearance on George’s Love or Host Auditions, along with his behavior there, many fans cracked jokes how Tommyinnit was right about Dream being in love with girls and GeorgeNotFound in one of his tweets. [25]
Friendship
As there is some controversy with shipping real people, Some fans of DreamNotFound ship them platonically. Most fans also try to keep explicit content to a minimum and avoid tagging them in shipping posts. This doesn’t apply for everyone in the fandom, but some ship DNF as a friendship as to respect the creators’ existing friendship.
As a result, DreamNotFound is also the most popular bromance in the fandom. Fanworks primarily consist of the artwork of intense/iconic moments from their Minecraft Challenges series, livestreams, or extras. The third member of the Dream Team, Sapnap, and their non-official member, BadBoyHalo, are two who’ve appeared frequently in DreamNotFound fanworks.
Their friendship is supported by most, if not all of the Dream Team fandom. There are many who, when #lovelettersfordream and #heartsforgeorge were trending, stated that their friendship and genuineness was what made their videos so attractive and enjoyable.

Work Text:
Schlatt had started up his twitch setup for the first time in a long time, over a year, in fact, with a plan. Connor had been his good friend for a long time now, but hiding your feelings can be so exhausting, when the person lives in the same house as you. So Schlatt planned to change that. High time he just got it out there, and what better way to do so than in public?
It wasn’t anyone’s business who he liked. But if he knew himself at all, and he liked to think he did, he knew that he wouldn’t ever tell Connor without a little momentum, and this, the Love or Host stream, would definitely be a little bit more than ‘a little momentum’. Even if he lost, it would still make Connor bring up the conversation later, instead of Schlatt having to do it. However, he thought, as he hovered his mouse over the ‘start stream’ button, if he won, which was really unlikely, let’s all be honest, then he would have an entirely different problem on his hands.
No point worrying over impossible odds, he decided, as he clicked the button to start the stream, also joining the call for the Love or Host. It hadn’t yet started, so he had a second to let people join.
Austin began the show, and Schlatt tabbed over to let his viewers see the same thing as everyone else. The contestants were announced, and the show began.
“Alright, contests. First question; where would you take this handsome man on your first date?” Austin notices Boze practically leap from her seat, repeatedly spamming the hand raised button. “Go ahead, Bozeman.”
“A crime scene.” She states proudly.
“Knowing you, it’s probably a crime you commited,” Minx adds.
“I mean, even if it is, it’s not like anyone’s going to know.” Boze grins widely, putting everyone at unease.
“Well! Who wants to go next?” Austin sweats, trying to divert the attention from Boze.
Minx smiles. “Connor, you and I can just skip first base and go straight into bed together and have a good time. You can get on your knees and I’ll peg you nice and proper.”
“I agree with Minx on this one,” Fitz says with a sly grin. Connor chuckles awkwardly.
“Heheh, don’t know about that one, at least buy me dinner first, right?” Connor looks anywhere but the screen. Schlatt could tell he was uncomfortable, so he brought it back around.
“Care to elaborate, Schlatt?” Austin asks, looking at him through the computer.
“Sure. That one place on the corner of Main street up in the city, you know the one, Connor.”
“I guess you thought I wasn’t, and thought wrong.”
“I guess so.” The other contestants said what kind of date they’d take Connor on, many of them varying in levels of horniness and romantics. Austin shuts everyone up once the timer goes off, moving them onto the next question.
The next few questions went off without a hitch, and Austin realized that Schlatt was giving real answers to Connor. The last time he’d done something like that was roughly seven months ago, when he had a fling with Alexandra Botez and wanted to try and win her heart, and the time before that with Minx.
“Schlatt, you’re up to something, aren’t you?” Austin interrupts QT when she’s talking about the qualities of a good boyfriend.
“Maybe I am, maybe I’m not. You’ll never know.” He smirked at the screen.
“You’re a peculiar man, Mr. Jschlatt.” Austin states. “Sorry QT, you can continue.”
A few people had been voted out so far, and they had left Minx, Poki, Botez, Niki, and Schlatt. Schlatt was just shocked that he hadn’t been voted out already. He suspected that the fact that the chat was deciding might’ve had something to do with it. They were as down for the bit as he was, even if they didn’t know it wasn’t a joke.
“If Connor was feeling down or upset, what would you do?” Austin asked. “Niki, you’re up first.”
“If Connor was feeling sad, I would ask him why he’s sad, and then hug him until he’s feeling better. Try to be there for him,” she said kindly, flashing the camera a smile.
“Because she hasn’t been voted off…?” Austin replies. Schlatt hums in acknowledgement. “Why, what’s wrong?”
“I mean, doesn’t she have a loverboy crawling around somewhere?” He says, and Niki bursts into laughter, confirming his suspicions. “Where is Wilbur, Niki?”
“He’s not here, I swear.” She tries to control her laughter, hiding her face in her sleeve.
“Is he not actually with you right now, Niki?” The host questions, and she nods her head in agreement.
“The only other person I’ve got with me right now is Rhianna.”
“Keywords ‘right now’,” Schlatt scoffs under his breath. Austin fights to regain control of the discussion as Niki and Schlatt go at each other like two angry dogs.
“Oh my god, can someone else speak besides these two?” He asks, and Andrea taps her mic. “Botez! Please, go right ahead.”
“I’d dry his tears, if there are any, and talk him through it,” Andrea said simply.
“Thank you. Pokimane?”
“Well what I would do is try not to force him to talk if he doesn’t want to, but only provide comfort if he wants it. Mmm. That didn’t come out like it sounded in my head. Only say something if he wants me to.”
“Aww, he’s a big boy, I’m sure he doesn’t need as much comfort as we think he does,” Minx grinned at the camera, laughing slightly.
“Okay, then. Moving on. Chat, what do you think?” Austin asked. Schlatt rolled his eyes. Austin had forgotten him on a few questions, or just ignored him, but given that he wanted to keep a low profile here so as not to arouse any more suspicion, he allowed it. But he wanted to answer this one, because he had a good answer.
“Hey, Austin, you forgot me,” he interrupted, as Austin tried to move on.
“Oh, right. Thank you, Schlatt. What would you do if Connor was upset, Schlatt?”
“I’d put on some movie, like Pokemon or something, and I’d ask if he wanted to talk about it after he’d relaxed a bit, then maybe play Mario Kart, or Animal Crossing, or something. Watch him build that cliff that he’s been working on.” Schlatt said, glancing up at Connor’s little square on the screen. Most of the attention was on him, so who else would see the small smile that Connor gave? Schlatt had said his answer rather offhandedly, but he knew that that was the best way to get through to him.
“Holy shit, you actually remember that? Dude, I thought you tuned me out!” Connor said, dumbstruck.
“Hah, only sometimes,” Schlatt joked.
“Okay. Now we can move on. Sorry again for skipping you, Schlatt.”
“It’s no big.” They went on to watch the chat vote Andrea out, strangely enough. Schlatt thought that Minx would get eliminated, for sure.
“If someone was flirting with Connor, what would you do? Minx, let’s go with you first.”
“I’d curb stomp the bitch! No one flirts with my man but me!”
“And yet you’re still noncommittal to partners and don’t mind when they share you,” Niki smirks.
“Are you calling me a whore?”
“Nooo, I would never. ”
“Okay then. Moving on,” Austin said before things could escalate. “Niki, what would you do?”
“I would ask if we could leave the situation,” she said, looking cute like she didn’t just roast Minx.
“I would interject myself into the situation, and ask them what they’re talking about, make it clear that he’s taken.”
“Alright. And Schlatt?”
“I would take him away from the situation because I know he’s uncomfortable with that. Then I’d make sure he’s okay,” Schlatt said plainly. How he was keeping his cool in all this was beyond him. He was sure that he would be a blushing mess the more he answered questions, but he was doing good.
However, with another round done, eliminations were chosen, and Niki was voted out, probably for getting toxic with Minx. Schlatt let out a stressed noise. This would be so much easier if he’d get voted out already. The question would be asked later, ‘why was he there’, he could explain later, he didn’t need everyone to know.
With three people left, they began talking over Schlatt, who started staring straight into the camera until someone noticed.
“Schlatt, can I ask why you’re staring at the camera?” Austin asked. Schlatt hummed noncommittally. “Why aren’t you talking?”
“Didn’t realize you wanted me to talk, you guys were talking over me so much.” He glanced at the chat. They were spamming ‘schalty’.
“Ok, well these girls are here for real, so-”
“Well maybe I am, too!”
“Whatever. Are you gonna talk?”
“Sure. whatever.” Schlatt barely refrained from rolling his eyes, which would only make their chats go even wilder.
Pokimane, extremely surprisingly, was voted out by the chats in the next round. Most likely because the viewers wanted to see more Schlinx content, but this was going too far.
However, the more he thought about it, the more unsure Schlatt was that this was a good or bad idea. He didn’t know which one he hated more. The idea that if he won, he and Connor would forever have that on their internet record, which would really be bad if Connor didn’t like him that way, or was uncomfortable with that, which Schlatt knew he would be. They could possibly keep things quiet even if he did win, and it was unlikely that he would, given the circumstances. Connor was to choose in the final round. Schlatt would be voted out, and Minx would win. But Schlatt hated the idea of anyone else winning Connor over. He knew it was irrational, but when push came to shove, he thought he would actually hate Minx if she won Connor over. She picked host, Schlatt knew she did. He should have, too, if he’d been smarter. Then the viewers wouldn’t know. Then they could keep it quieter.
But at least, given Schlatt’s record with these types of jokes, he could just say it was a bit. They would for sure believe that. He’d make up something. Laugh when they tell him to drop the bit. Yeah. That would work.
Schlatt was jolted out of his thoughts by Minx cursing under her breath.
“Fuck! Ahh, shit! I have to go, I forgot I had an appointment today!” Minx cursed under her breath. Austin went silent for a second.
Fiiine,” he scoffed, before calling out what she’d chosen. “Minx, when it comes to Mr. Connoreatspants, you chose… host!”
“Well I can’t say I didn’t expect the host call,” Connor laughed. Minx left the show, cackling.
“Schlatt! It seems… it seems you are the winner of Connor’s love or host!”
“Fuck. I wasn’t expecting that,” Schlatt tries to chuckle. “Guess that bit went a bit too far.” He scratches his moustache while laughing, internally panicking about what he was gonna say when Austin said what he’d chosen.
Suddenly Austin is laughing, Schlatt knows he’s just read his card. He sends a quick DM to Austin, before he reads the card aloud.
Everyone in the call is silent. The chat is going wild, spamming ‘gayschlatt’ and pride flags.
“I told you I took that bit too far. Enjoy all those views, Connor,” is all Schlatt has to say in defense. It’s mostly for the audience. Connor will still come and talk to him about this later. Schlatt can’t say anything else at the moment. He knows he’ll panic. He’s already about to.
Thankfully, the stream ends soon after, and he ends his own stream before going on twitter. He feels cold, going through thread after thread of text, just scanning through all the reactions. He’s shaking, he knows, but as he reads message after message, some support, some hate, he can’t bring himself to stop. The hate ones seemed to hit harder than the support, completely dampening whatever helpful effect it was clearly intended to have. The hate and homophobic tweets and messages seemed to be the only thing his brain registered. He was frozen in place. He couldn’t move, he couldn’t think, couldn’t breathe. What would Connor think? He’d probably want to move out. This would be so uncomfortable for him. He shouldn’t have joined. Should have said stuff to get himself voted out. Anything would be better than this right now.
Connor sat in his seat, replaying the last few minutes of the stream in his head. He hadn’t been paying attention to Schlatt the whole time, he thought it was a joke! Up to now, he still couldn’t tell if it was a joke or not. Schlatt had said that he let that bit go too far, but there’d been the slightest quiver in his voice when he said that, like he’d been trying to cover the thought that it wasn’t. Connor couldn’t tell.
He went on online and saw that Schlatt was too, but he had gone radio silent. There was no noise from the other man’s room. He should probably go and ask him about his prank.
He walked down the hall to Schlatt’s office, and peered in the room. Schlatt was sitting at his desk, hands holding his head up, staring at twitter. As Connor crept closer, he could see all the hate messages on Schlatt’s feed. He frowned. Why was Schlatt reading all that? He knows better than to let Twitter get to him, after repeated cancellations.
Schlatt saw his reflection in the screen, and whipped around. “Connor,” he breathed out, eyes wide with alarm.
“What was that today?”
“Schlatt, I really can’t tell if you were joking or not.”
“You wouldn’t be this upset over a bit.”
“I let it go too far. That’s… I’m not upset.”
“You are, though. Why can’t you tell the truth?”
“Cause you dont wanna hear it,” Schlatt turned back to his computer, scrolling down to catch up with the toxic tweets.
“Maybe I do. What is it?”
Connor realized, with a start, that he felt the same. He loved the way that the taller always knew just how to help him when he was upset, or panicky, or his OCD was bad again, or when his hands were shaky. He knew his favorite things to do, to watch. He couldn’t deny, whenever Schlatt answered the questions on the show, they were always the most accurate. His heart fluttered as he realized all this, and he felt the need to leave the room, to think.
He rushed out, letting Schlatt’s door close a little louder than he’d intended, fleeing to the safety of his room, face flushed in gay panic.
Schlatt heard Connor flee the room, slamming the door, and he slumped back in his chair in defeat. He’s just been outed, forced to confess when he thought he was ready but sorely mistaken. Turning his attention back to Twitter, he couldn’t stop reading the hate tweets, no matter how much his other fans were trying to subdue it, it just felt so overwhelming. He felt… cold. Any emotion- fear, apprehension, anxiety- had fled out the door with the subject of his affections.
Connor must hate him now. He felt like throwing up. He’d just laid all out on the line like that, and Connor hadn’t even said anything before running out of the room, even slamming the door. He couldn’t stop reading all the hateful comments coming through his twitter feed. It was like the good comments weren’t even there anymore, overridden entirely by all the bad messages, the text filling up his head so much that he couldn’t think.
He let his head fall onto the desk. It cleared his head a little bit, so he did it again. And again. And again, until he was sure there would be a bruise.
Schlatt typed out a tweet draft. ‘ Had fun on the LOH stream! Congrats on all those views, @ConnorEatsPants! ’ It was all about the views. It was all about the views. Schlatt had a lot of viewers, attracted a lot of attention, and now all the attention would work to the benefit of Connor. A gift from friend to friend. He’d done it before, with Minx, the fans would believe that.
Already, even seconds after he posted that, he could see people calming down, it was all just for a bit, guys. Only three people knew otherwise. Schlatt, Connor, and Austin, who he had slipped up with, revealing that it wasn’t a bit when he asked him to say host.
A reply came through, from Connor. ‘ Thanks, Schlatt! 🙂 ’
It didn’t make him feel better. He let his head hit the desk again. He wanted to cry. Today was… not a good day. He wouldn’t cry, he was too tough for that, but he wanted to. He wouldn’t cry, wouldn’t give the haters the satisfaction of making him cry, even if they never knew about it. He hit his head again, just to relish in the numbness it spread through his body.
There was a hand on his shoulder. He jumped, slightly, but didn’t look up. He knew who it was. He knew if he looked Connor in the eye he would actually cry, so he didn’t.
“Please stop hitting your head. You’re hurting yourself,” Connor said. Schlatt sighed, but stopped. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, Connor. Don’t worry,” Schlatt said, somehow still evenly-toned. He was sure that he would have broken as soon as he started talking.
“I’m sorry I rushed out. I just… I had to think.”
“I’m sorry I said anything at all. You’re uncomfortable with that, I get it. I’ll stop.”
“Can you look at me?” Connor asked, and God if Schlatt wasn’t about to give Connor anything he asked for. He picked his head up off his desk and looked over his shoulder at the shorter man, feeling the overdue tears finally burning at his eyes. Connor didn’t look angry, or upset at him, or even disgusted. He looked… concerned. Why? Schlatt didn’t deserve that. He averted his gaze quickly, looking at his desk. Connor made him turn his chair around to face him, kneeling down and pulling Schlatt into a hug.
“Connor, you don’t have to-”
“Maybe I want to. Can you just listen for a sec?” Schlatt nodded. “I like you too. I like how you take the time to actually know people, to know me. You, you let people think that you’re shallow, that you don’t care, but you do, you care so much. I like how you know me so well, you know my favorite things, you know just what to say or do when I’m having a bad day, or when my mind is messing with me again. I love how you are so consistently there for people, or try to be, even when they aren’t there for you. I love how you do things for others and don’t ask for anything in return. I see Twitter, too. I saw what you were looking at, too. People treat you so badly, they cancel you all the time, sometimes over nothing, but you put up with it like you don’t care. I’m sorry that you don’t feel like you can talk to people, but I wanna be there for you as much as you’re there for me.”
“Connor, don’t feel obligated to say all this shit just because I said something.”
“I’m not. You just made me realize something, so thank you.”
“So… you really mean it?”
“Yeah,” Connor said. Schlatt smiled against his shoulder, hugging him back.
“I’m glad.” It wasn’t an ‘I love you’, but it was all he could manage at the moment. He knew Connor understood.
“Me, too.” Schlatt could feel Connor’s smile against his shoulder, and gave him one of his own, tucked into the crook of his neck.
Today wasn’t a good day, but it was certainly better than it was.

Throughout lockdown, we’ve seen content creators come up with ingenious ways to keep us all entertained.
The spring and summer months were seriously lacking in reality TV content, and so TikTokkers and Twitch users alike all came up with new forms of reality TV content.
The latest creation is Love or Host, a new reality TV show which uses live streaming and audience participation to decide what happens next.
So, with Love or Host gaining popularity, we thought it time to find out more about the host of the show. Get to know George here.

How does Love or Host work?
When you tune in to an episode of Love or Host Rules, you are watching alongside thousands – if not hundreds of thousands – of other viewers. While watching, it is in the viewers power to decide collectively which cast members get eliminated.
The format is largely the same as The Bachelorette. In fact, Love or Host originates from another show Austin used to host: Rajjchelorette on Twitch.

Meet the host George
George Davidson, AKA GeorgeNotFound, is a YouTuber and Twitch star who is best known for creating Minecraft videos. This foray into presenting reality TV on Love or Host is new to George, but he’s certainly doing a good job! He was born on November 1st, 1996 making him 23 years old. George is originally from the UK.
George joined YouTube back on October 12th, 2013. He now has over 3 million subscribers and has amassed over 125 million YouTube views in total.
His Twitch account is newer, but he has still made an impression on there. George has 732,000 followers on Twitch. Again, his content mainly revolves around Minecraft gameplay.

Chapter one
You gazed at your phone, eyes wide in shock as your mouth hung open. «WHAAAAAAT. » you shouted, sure that the whole neighborhood had heard you. You rubbed at your eyes, then blinked down at your phone. Sure enough, the tweet was there.
BlueLV: hey! I want to do a love or host, much like Austin does! This time it’s the dream SMP participating! I would like to select you for the love interest! What do you say? Yae or nae?
shaking slightly, your fingers glided across the screen, creating a response.
You: sure! When is it?
BlueLV: uhm. right now, actually. The original love interest dropped out. so I need someone to fill in for them. Would you be interested? Of course, I’ll have to show the boys your profile so that they can choose if they want to love or host, first.
You: oh! Uhm. alright then, that’s fine by me! Count me in!
BlueLV: great! Let’s get this show in the road then! Here’s the link!
BlueLV: *random discord link*
taking a deep breath, you click the link. «Alright. let’s do this. » You joined the vc, immediately hearing a lot of loud voices, it was very chaotic. «Ahhh! Everyone shut up! The new girls here!» You smiled nervously, waving as you turned your camera on and unmuted yourself. «Uhm. hi?» Sapnap, who was in the corner, grinned. «Dayummmm! She’s hot as fu-» «language!» Sapnap began to grumble, and you giggled softly, looking at all the names.

100 Thieves sign Love or Host’s AustinShow as content creator
100 Thieves have officially announced the latest addition to their streamer portfolio: content creator and Twitch’s “Love or Host” founder, AustinShow, formerly known as RajjPatel.
100 Thieves are known for being more than an esports organization, as Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag’s brand has become one of the most renowned lifestyle, content and esport houses in the gaming industry. As such, with vlogs and interpersonal content galore, it is no surprise that the team eyed Austin as a potential signee.
With a YouTube video and tweet announcement, 100T officialized what has apparently been in the works for a long time now. Like the addition of viral TikTok content creator, Neekolul, the Austin announcement came with an elaborate, narrative-driven video involving some of 100T’s most notable figures.
In a YouTube video about drama between Nadeshot, Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and BrookeAB, Austin used his relationship experience in the platonic realm — navigating a hostile 100T environment and earning a place in the organization.
While few are falling for 100T’s drama shenanigans, the faux reality TV show does prove one thing: Austin fits right in. Unbothered by Nadeshot’s toxic maneuverings, the Twitch content host smoothed things over, got the gang into a game of UNO and made himself an essential part of their future.
This becomes the latest stop for Austin, whose road to fame has been tumultuous and entertaining on its own. With over 400,000 Twitter followers and over 1.2 million on Twitch, the streamer and personality has built up a far-reaching audience thanks to his comfort navigating big personalities and frisky situations.

In their announcement tweet, 100T mentioned Austin’s history with “Love or Host” specifically. The show, which used to be called “the Rajjchelor” when Austin went by his early “Rajj Patel” moniker (which dates back to Runescape), is essentially for Twitch streamers.
As Austin has made himself and his content more palatable over the years, the 100T signing is a big deal. The Thieves reach millions of fans with their content and this partnership gives Austin a chance to continue making content under a wider umbrella with a team known for in-house collaborations.

Chapter twenty
(Sorry if this seems rushed or poorly written, this is the third time I’ve had to remake it ;-;)
Fundy dragged you along for a moment, before you took action, stomping on the poor man’s foot and bucking your head up into his jaw. His grip loosened, and you turned in his arms, kneeing him in the crotch. His grip loosened further, and you pulled free, running away and down the tunnel-like area you were in to get away. Hey, sometimes it’s alright to kick a man while he’s down in situations like this, okay?
You ran until you saw a light ahead, and grinned, pushing yourself to run faster until you burst into the lit up area. However, what you saw made you gasp in. shock? Fury? Fear? You didn’t know, honestly. Wilbur sat at a computer desk, looking over towards you with a cheeky grin. Dream sat in a corner, looking at you with wide eyes, tied up. Beside Wilbur the cave you were now in opened up, revealing the crashing waves of an ocean. It was beautiful, honestly, if it weren’t for Wilbur being a crazed maniac (which you sort of understood) and Dream being tied up.
«Wilbur-» said man stood, messing with his yellow sweater as his grin widened, eyes lighting up. «Ah, y/n!» He cooed. «Welcome!» You shifted uncomfortably, backing up as he approached you. He was soon less than a foot away, and you held up a hand, stopping him from going any further as it touched his chest. «Wilbur, stop-» he tilted his head. «Oh, but why
?» He asked with a pout, which was honestly cute, in your opinion. You sighed, your hand slipping down his chest before dropping to your side. «Wilbur, I. I remember. » He blinked. «I remember it all. I. » You looked up at him, eyes burning with desire? Passion? Want? Need? He couldn’t really tell. «I miss you. I. I always have. » You whispered, pulling him down by his collar harshly. His eyes widened and he blushed softly as your faces were now an inch apart, your breath mingling together in the air, fanning each other’s faces. «Wilbur. » Dream watched from the corner, his lips in a straight line. Want were you doing? Did you have something up our sleeve? A trick, perhaps?
«Wilbur. » You said again, and he closed the gap, kissing you gently, carefully. You released his collar, instead cupping his cheek as you longingly kissed back. A second later, you pulled away, a small bit of saliva connecting your mouths. You reached up and wiped his mouth with your thumb, smiling softly. «I remember. and. I still love you, Wil. » You pulled his head down, kissing his forehead. «But. getting me to remember? You didn’t have to go through all this. Put me through hell, kidnap Dream, attempt to kidnap Techno. » «You wouldn’t have listened, otherwise. » He hissed, eyes narrowing.
You sighed quietly. «Wil.
