Half-Life как и многие другие популярные игры стала одной из культовых, а фанаты по сей день ждут её продолжение в лице Half-Life 3. Но некоторые энтузиасты всё же решают облегчить себе ожидание, и начинают создавать моды для Half-Life, которые полностью переделывают игровой процесс и улучшают визуальную составляющую самой игры. Именно это и делает мод со странным названием MMod, который меняет gunplay (по рус. игру оружия) в Half-Life 2, также улучшая немного визуальную составляющую самой игры. И именно о данном моде хотелось бы сегодня поговорить.
И начнём мы с игрового процесса.
И вот это нововведение мне нравится, потому что оно делает игру куда более новой по ощущениям, из за чего тебе кажется что ты играешь в совершенно новую игру, или в римейк старой игры на новый лад. Поэтому, благодаря данному нововведению к игре хочется вернуться ещё раз и пройти её заново.
Честно говоря, все эти визуальные эффекты режут мне глаза. Поэтому, после такого расклада я полез в настройки и отключил всё к чертям, потому что смотреть на слишком, так сказать, острое изображение в игре, словно кто-то выкрутил резкость на максимум, сильно давит на глаза. А ещё плюс всякие фильтры и эффекты размытия вообще руинят картинку в самой игре. Да и визуальные эффекты, типа новых эффектов огня, дыма и всего прочего, очень сильно нагружают ваш компьютер. А ведь игра то старая, и не предназначена для того чтобы её визуальную составляющую выкручивать за пределы задуманного лимита разработчиками. Отсюда и проблемы с оптимизацией после установки данного мода. Но, как я уже сказал, что всё это дело спокойно отключается в настройках, поэтому проблемы с оптимизацией можно избежать.
Кроме выше перечисленных улучшений, данный мод также улучшает звуковую составляющую игры, делая звук куда более чётким. И это заметно когда вы играете сидя в наушниках, да и даже без них, если у вас хорошие колонки, то можно услышать куда более чёткий звук. Кроме улучшения качества самого звука, были добавлены новые звуковые эффекты, как вот те же попадания от пуль, которые, по сравнению со стандартной версией игры, звучат куда более сочно. Но чтобы оценить всё это дело, вам придется играть в английскую версию игры, потому что если у вас установлен русификатор, то звуки останутся стандартными, или будут баговать.
Что касается данного улучшения, то оно как раз кстати, потому что, игра не только с точки игрового процесса стала куда более приятнее, но и теперь ещё звучит куда более лучше чем обычно. Поэтому, данное улучшение идет только на пользу, в отличии от выше упомянутых визуальных улучшений.
Также данный мод работает и эпизодами Half-Life 2, так что в них тоже можно запихнуть данный мод и пройти эти две игры с ним.
В итоге мы получаем довольно хороший мод, который позволит вам вернуться к старой игре и перепройти её на новый лад. Правда к сомнительному улучшению я всё же отнесу визуальную часть данного мода, ведь эти все визуальные улучшения и вправду режут глаза, но вот всё остальное выглядит и играется уж очень отлично. It’s been almost a year since first release, time sure flies by fast.
In this jolly spooky holiday season, I’m happy to bring Half-Life 2 : MMod 1.3 under your Christmas tree pumpkin?, Uhh, anyway, I’m here to announce first and last big patch for Half-Life 2 : MMod V1, yes, you heard me right, Half-Life 2 : MMod V2 will be a thing in a distant future, hopefully not after 9 years again.
Well, now it’s the time for the v1.3 itself! The new version of Half-Life 2 MMod bring new set of features to the games, as well as performance and compatibility enhancements. Here is much more detailed list of what’s new and what has been changed :

[ Half-Life: MMod ] Version 2 Progress Update!
Hey everyone, It’s been a while since last update, time to break the silence.
It’s been roughly 9 months since the last update and I’ve been plenty busy with other projects of mine, including some personal matters regarding health, but that doesn’t mean I’ve been slacking with development of HL1MMod, quite the contrary, it’s pretty much ready to enter end of development stage, where I will focus mostly on polish, rather than adding something brand new.
However that doesn’t mean that HL1MMod is an unpolished mess, I’ve spent countless hours polishing every aspect of the mod since last update, refactoring massive amount of code to simplify and speed things up to ensure stability and smooth gameplay and hunting down and fixing every single bug I have encountered during countless playtesting sessions.
Besides that there’s been plenty of brand new additions, one of the biggest one is proper material system for all textures in the game: if it looks like wood/metal/glass/dirt then it emits appropriate impact effects and sounds, I’ve also went extra mile and added detail textures ( which you can toggle in-game ) for every texture in the game, helping to add necessary detail to an aging game.
I’ve spent some time working on making HEV suit more verbose, printing out warnings for getting low on ammo/reloading. HEV suit now reports weapon pickups and ammo pickups to the player, making it seem a tiny bit more advanced and noticeable to the player, all of these suit additions are optional just in case.
Not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but HL1MMod has bootleg chapter selection thing, akin to Half-Life: Source, except much less fancy, botleggedness of it stems from it not displaying properly on lower resolutions, there’s not a lot I can do about it because of how limiting engine is.
-I’ve managed to implement «first time pickup system». Whenever you pickup weapon for the first time it will play unique pickup animation where player would inspect/load ammo/fidget with the gun for a bit, akin to Black Mesa when you pick up guns for the first time, making every weapon feel a bit more fully fledged and giving Gordon a bit more character. Fooltaurus was in charge of the animations for them, I coded them in and made a sound foley pass, you can check out these animations in Item Testing Range video bellow.
-Crossbow got a total overhaul in terms of visual feedback, now it properly displays arrows in the magazine and has two reload animations, one when there’s no ammo left and one where you still have ammo loaded. I’ve also made its arrows behave similarly to Half-Life 2 crossbow arrows, adding a bit of gravity to them and, most importantly, making them ricochet under certain angles. I’ve also added fancy scope overlay to it and made it optional just in case.
-MP5 got a complete makeover and makes sense now, Fooltaurus remade all of its animations and added brand new set of animations for grenade launcher, added charging blot and full reload animation. Grenade launcher no longer magically reloads, instead player puts in grenade manually, making whole thing a bit more immersive at a cost of lower fire rate.
-Crowbar got a smack function, which behaves similarly to Opposing Force wrench secondary fire.
-Hivehand got special weapon function where it spews bunch of hornets in a small sack, which deals small damage to anything caught in a blast while also releasing swarm of hornets into every direction, very useful for ambush and distraction attacks. Hivehand hornets have wider FOV, making them more efficient in tracking targets, hivehand itself recharges twice as fast too, making it a viable weapons.
-Snarks are now hostile towards everything, making it a viable weapon against alien opponents.
Now let’s talk about general monster/entity/AI improvements.
-Every monster AI got a major boost to their reaction time, eliminating awkward situations where monsters would just stand around and glance at their enemy instead of continuing attacking them, they also react to a lot more things now, like player footsteps or distant gunfire and even smells. Overall monster AI feels a little bit more lively now.
-A bunch of monsters in the game got glow in the dark model parts, mostly eyes, they’re are also fully animated too, blinking while alive and closed ( or partially closed ) on death, making monsters feel much more alive or dead.
-Bullsquid finally got some justice in terms of its effects overhaul, making spit much more noticeable and in-line with other effects.
-Zombie variants are no longer just generic reskins, Zombie Guards allows Zombie to take more shots to the chest, while Zombie Grunts can take more shots in general. In future I plan to add one more zombie variant for couple of sections in the game, hopefully it’ll happen.
— Some items ( HealthKits and HEV Batteries ) got fancy glow in the dark animated screen/energy on them.
There’s also plenty of visual improvements!
-I have added «Classic» option for Blood/Explosion Trails/Muzzle Flash effects, making them resemble the look of original effects, making them blend in better to vanilla art style of the game, just in case you don’t like the «HD» look of new effects.
-Both Classic and Modern style of blood effects were overhauled to provide much better visual feedback, headcrabs also got their unique gibbing effect, with much smaller bloodsplosion and assortment of gibs.
-This is a bit of under the hood change, but a lot of previous effects were re-coded and re-optimized to factor in very draconian limitations of the engine, they should also perform better on very slow pc’s.
Yet again, this is just a tip of the iceberg, there’s been humongous amount of under the hood changes and game fixes, including fixes for the original game itself thanks to community contributions on Valve’s GitHub page. I also can’t remember everything I’ve been adding, even my gitlab logs consist of inane ramblings because most of the work for HL1MMod been done during countless sleepless nights between 10PM-7AM.
Now, I won’t bore you with words anymore, so let’s get straight to the media!
First video showing off slightly edited Unforeseen Consequences chapter, which strives to make it more atmospheric by adding more ambient sounds, scripted sequences, new enemy spawns and overall detail.
Second video is meant to show off weapons in their current state, including first pickup animations, spread, recoil, sounds, foley. I’ve also put an effort into making a small showcase map for them.

alright now install source sdk singleplayer 2013 you will find it in tools section
then you need to install mmod from it’s main page https://www.moddb.com/mods/hl2-ep2-enhased-mod
then after installing mmod go to where your windows disc is (most probably C) then go to program files (x86) then steam then steamapps and sourcemods
now when in sourcemods put hl2mmod and after that you can put the other files example hl2mmodHL2
after restart steam and just play
since smod has been released in 2004 you will need sdk 2006 or sdk 2007 idk wich one but the mod after lunching will ask you to install one of the sdks
after that install smod from the page https://www.moddb.com/mods/smod i prefer installing smod elite or smod redux 10 v2 but you can install any version
after that you need follow the same path to source mods
and finally put the folder there (do not do that if you use standalone version of smod)
So now you can play the smod and mmod!

If you have previous versions of HL2MMod installed : Remove them, make sure that your sourcemods folder has no folders named HL2MMod, otherwise mod will function incorrectly/crash/glitch/explode/start a thermonuclear war.
Do a clean install, don’t overwrite any files. Clean install only. Clean, as in c-l-e-a-n. Don’t load any older saves too. Start anew.
Due to the nature of this mod and how Source Engine 2013/Steam handles Source Engine content you . HAVE TO HAVE ALL HALF-LIFE 2 GAMES AND MOD INSTALLED ON SAME LOGICAL DISK/DRIVE AS YOUR STEAM INSTALLATION. , for example if you have Steam installed on C:/ drive, then you have to install all games you want to play and mod itself on the same drive ( C:/ in our case ), otherwise you will have a crash on startup or error saying «Unable to find surface properties». Same goes for Cinematic Mod support, same drive as mod/hl2 games.
MAKE SURE TO INSTALL ALL HALF-LIFE 2 GAMES YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH MMOD ON THE SAME LOGICAL HARD DRIVE/DISK AS YOUR STEAM, OTHERWISE IT WILL NOT WORK.

HOW TO MAKE CINEMATIC MOD 2013 WORK WITH HL2MMOD :
1) Grab the official download from Cinematicmod.com
2) Install it as instructed ( ON THE SAME DRIVE AS YOUR STEAM, HL2 GAMES AND MMOD INSTALLATION, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT ).
3) After you installed it, make sure if works on its own. If everything is alright proceed to next step.
4a) For HL2 Version of Cinematic Mod : Locate CM2013HL2 «maps» folder ( \Steam\steamapps\common\CM2013\hl2\custom\1_CM_looseFiles ), copy it ( maps folder ) into ( \Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\HL2MMod_Cinematic_HL2 ), it should take a while.
4b) For HL2 EP1 Version of Cinematic Mod : Locate CM2013HL2EP1 «maps» folder ( \Steam\steamapps\common\CM2013\episodic\custom\1_CM_looseFiles ), copy it ( maps folder ) into ( \Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\HL2MMod_Cinematic_EP1 ).
4c) For HL2 EP2 Version of Cinematic Mod : Locate CM2013HL2EP2 «maps» folder ( \Steam\steamapps\common\CM2013\ep2\custom\1_CM_looseFiles ), copy it ( maps folder ) into ( \Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\HL2MMod_Cinematic_EP2 ).
5) Restart your Steam client
If you did everything correctly you now should have fully working HL2MMod versions of Cinematic Mod 2013. The support for them is highly experimental, so expect glitches or crashes, I’ve tried my best.

To install the mod put all 10 folders from folder named «PUT THESE FOLDERS INSIDE SOURCEMODS FOLDER» into \Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\ and restart your Steam client, don’t forget to restart it before trying to play the mod. You should have 10 folders inside your source mods folder. Don’t put «PUT THESE FOLDERS INSIDE SOURCEMODS FOLDER» into source mods folder and expect it to work, put its contents ( 10 folders ) inside your sourcemods folder.
If you did everything correctly you now should have 9 new HL2MMod entries : HL2, EP1, EP2, Lost Coast, HL2 Update, Cinematic Mod 2013 ( HL2/EP1/EP2 ) and Minerva Metastasis. All of them should work now, granted if you read entire document.

In Steam, hover over ‘Library’ and select ‘Tools’:

2. IMPORTANT: Delete sourcemods folder from steam client folder
3. Hit Windows key on keyboard and type ‘cmd’, then right click command prompt and choose ‘Run as Administrator’
4. Type: mklink /J ‘the location you have Steam and sourcemods folder’ ‘the location of your sourcemods folder on the drive your games are installed on’

В 2013 году Valve выпустили патч для HL2 из за чего моды вышедшие до 2013 могут не работать вообще (шанс 99,9%). Ах да. Если мод сделан для HL 2 Episode 1, то тут уже ничего не сделать.
Поэтому перед тем как скаичвать мод нужно проверить год его выхода, и если он вышел раньше 2013 года, то проверте наличие патча
Если патча нет, а в мод поиграть очень хочется, то найдите другой мод и не ♥♥♥♥*тесь с этим то придется пошаманить и то не факт, что это сработает. Могут не работать скрипты, не прогружаться текстурки и т.д. Поэтому ругаться на меня не надо из за того, что хотели поиграть в то, что есть в руководтсве, а оно не работает.
В папке с модом находим такой замечательнй документ как gameinfo.txt и открываем его. Чтобы узнать для какой версии HL (я про эпизоды) нужно посмотреть на строчку SteamAppId или на сайте Moddb, но лучше смотреть через документ.
На этом чудесном сайте [lambdageneration.com] нужно смотреть версию игры которая вас интересует и смотреть версию.
Копируем текст для версии которая вам нужна и вставляем в документ. Готово.

Расскажи вам друг сюжет этого мода, вы бы никогда не стали в него играть: нам показывают очередную историю о человеке, отправившимся разведывать ситуацию на аванпост повстанцев, с которым была потеряна связь, и обнаружившим там, естественно, зомби. Прибавьте к этому скромный вес, смешную продолжительность и всего одну игровую карту, и получится очередной мод из разряда «прошёл и забыл». Только вот, как ни странно, Mission Improbable – это такой уникальный случай, когда «мало» – не значит «плохо».
Сначала мод начинает приятно удивлять проработанным в мельчайших деталях игровым окружением. А точнее даже не удивлять, а поражать – настолько красивого дизайна в модах не было уже очень давно. Причем, в отличие от шедеврального Research and Development, к дизайну которого иногда можно было придраться (всё-таки склады, ангары и лаборатории, по которым предстоит бегать на протяжении нескольких часов, достаточно сложно сделать красивыми, а не просто проработанными), дизайн Mission Improbable просто идеален. Те двадцать минут, за которые можно не торопясь пройти мод, вы побываете в пещерах, очистите от противников несколько домов и поднимитесь на маяк. В общем, грубо говоря, посетите места, которые вы уже посещали не раз и не два как в оригинальном Half-Life 2, так и в массе модов к нему. Но КАК выглядят все эти места! Автор не просто создал красивый уровень, но и отшлифовал его так, что желание полюбоваться окружением перевешивает желание проходить мод, едва вы выходите из душных пещер на поверхность. Обычно в таких ситуациях я говорю «В плане дизайна этот мод можно смело ставить в один ряд с оригиналом». Но Mission Improbable обладает дизайном не просто того же уровня, что и Half-Life 2 с эпизодами, а дизайном, обгоняющим Half-Life 2 с эпизодами. Причем обгоняющим не с оговорками типа «всё-таки кое-где можно было сделать лучше. », а без говорок вообще – здесь красиво абсолютно всё.

So it’s no secret that I don’t update this page a lot ( for several reasons ), but that doesn’t mean that there’s no progress. I’m here today to, hopefully, brighten up your mood with some of the new stuff.
Since last update there’s been a lot of updates to the mod, most of them are under the hood, general bug fixes, new gun play additions and new optional features. There’s also been a LOT of updates to how the guns feel, work and look. I’ve been fortunate enough to get someone new on board to help out with animations and rigging for weapons, meet the Fooltaurus. His irreplaceable contributions helped me to bring ton of new features and enhancements into MMods gun play, which is one of the most important features. So I would really appreciate if you gave Fooltaurus a shoutout, his work brought MMod to a new level.
Also I’d like to give a shoutout to KrIsCrEeP for helping me with sound design, his dedication towards making MMod a better project and his important contributions brought a lot of immersive features into both gunplay and how the guns sound in game.

Но в 2009-м году о ней вспомнили снова и на этот раз это были люди куда более талантливые: в прошлом году мы увидели сногсшибательный Rebellion и проходной, но любопытный в плане оформления Combine Combat, а сейчас имеем возможность опробовать Human Error, самый необычный мод из этой тройки.

Созданием мода занималась группа Lever Softworks, и он, по существу, представляет из себя «играбельный архив» имеющегося в распоряжении сообщества контента из невышедшего третьего эпизода. Разработка велась уже некоторое время, но после опубликованного Лейдлоу сценария команда фанатов ускорилась и выпустила мод на всеобщее обозрение.
По информации, опубликованной авторами на ModDB, модификация состоит из 11 экспериментальных уровней, разработанных Valve в период с 2012 по 2013 годы. По всей видимости, прототипы были созданы для Half-Life 3, о которой мы, скорее всего, можем забыть навсегда.
Кроме того, в моде есть еще четыре демонстрационных уровня, на которых можно взглянуть на различные геймплейные функции и NPC, не представленные на экспериментальных уровнях. В составе Aftermath вы также найдете лазерную пушку комбайнов, стреляющую через стены и запланированную для третьего эпизода.
В Episode 3 должны были появиться еще бронированные солдаты комбайнов и городской сканер с лазером — их вы тоже найдете на демонстрационных уровнях. В последующие месяцы команда разработчиков продолжит обновлять мод и добавлять в него другой контент.

Get A Life — потрясающая модификация, совершенно новая игра на движке Half-Life 2. Если вы спросите бывалого любителя модов, какая тема является любимицей у создателей модификаций, тот не задумываясь скажет, что это побег из тюрьмы. Действительно, этому благоприятствуют множество обстоятельств: наличие в контенте Half-Life 2 текстур и моделей данной тематики, отсутствие проблем с детализацией локаций (в тюрьмах довольно спартанские условия), да и архитектура незатейлива. Конечно, зачастую такие творения являются двумя-тремя картами из парочки коридоров и кучки зомби, однако и в своем поприще есть акулы. Одна из них — Riot Act.
Мод повествует о нелегкой судьбе гражданина, упеченного за решетку во время очередного рейда комбайнов. В начале игры нам показывают красивый ролик, после которого главный герой (а в данном случае героиня) очухивается в камере. Решётчатая дверь загадочным образом открывается и начинается игра.

Nightmare House 2 является продолжением ремейка не только по духу, но и по сюжету. Так, в одной «упаковке» с сиквелом вы получите и ремейк (по сюжету которого, напомним, главный герой попадал в аварию и был вынужден пойти в заброшенный дом неподалёку от места происшествия), который здесь является сюжетным прологом ко второй части, и тесно связан с её историей. Но вернёмся к сиквелу. Сюжет стартует в тот момент, когда главный герой, человек без имени и прошлого, просыпается в одной из палат психиатрической лечебницы с оптимистичным названием Never Lose Hope Hospital. Вокруг лежат трупы сотрудников заведения, перед глазами маячит подозрительно знакомая мёртвая девочка, проявляющая повышенный интерес к нашей персоне, а здание наводнили непонятно откуда вылезшие монстры. Руководствуясь указаниями единственного выжившего сотрудника больницы, доктора Ромеро, вы должны проложить себе путь на свободу. Но для этого нашему протеже придется пройти через такие кошмары, после которых и девять кругов Ада покажутся цветочками.

Головоломка. По механике это дополнение во многом схоже с Portal на том же движке. Разработчики, конечно, не украли у детища Valve портальную пушку — сходство тут иного рода. В Research & Development так же, как в Portal, организованы загадки. Не нужно складывать в инвентарь, которого здесь вообще нет, разный хлам и бегать по уровням, последовательно дергая за рычаги. Каждая комната в игре — маленькая загадка, и для ее решения в этой комнате есть все средства. Причем тут подход к решению задач правильный — мы сначала долго думаем, а потом делаем то, что необходимо, буквально за пару минут. Нас не заставляют заниматься рутинной работой — составлять башни из коробок или забрасывать в ящики десятки бочек. В Research & Development оригинально поданы даже банальные головоломки.

Silent Hill: Alchemilla – это самостоятельная модификация для игры Half-Life 2, по сути, являющаяся отдельным проектом по вселенной «Silent Hill».
Начнём, наверно, сразу же с прояснения основных вопросов. Многие разочаровываются в игре и только по тому, что даже отдалённо не понимают, что это вообще такое. Во-первых, Silent Hill: Alchemilla — это самостоятельная модификация от НЕ официальных разработчиков. Мод строится на базе движка Half-Life 2, даже несмотря на то, что выглядит игра очень профессионально.
Во-вторых, это не ужастик, где нам нужно биться с монстрами, спасаться и искать драгоценные патроны для пистолета. Многие ждут что-то подобное, поэтому описание в жанре: «Квест с элементами сурвайвл хоррора», полностью соответствует действительности. С этим вроде разобрались и теперь, когда все не любители квестов отправились искать ужастики себе по вкусу, оставшимся предстоит познакомиться с одной из лучших модификаций к HL2, по вселенной Silent Hill.

События этого мода, как ни странно, разворачиваются одновременно с событиями Half-Life 2: Episode One. Вы играете за Френка, местного повстанца, который стал одним из свидетелей взрыва на Цитадели. Придется эвакуироваться со всеми остальными, а иначе произойдет что-то очень плохое. Так просто вам из Сити-17 не выбраться, это точно.
Разработчик не пытался создать что-то действительно новое, как в случае с Curse, но мод все равно является одним из лучших. Может быть, потому, что сюжет интересный, а может из-за необычных головоломок и некоторой атмосферы, которой DW, несомненно, обладает. Не сомневайтесь, так и есть.

Это перезапуск всей вселенной Kayf-Life, родившейся на свет еще в 2006 году и вторично выпущенной в виде Reloaded издания в 2011.
Ремейк нацелен на современное переосмысление многих мелочей в дизайне и геймплее.

На территории колонии запрещены наркотики, алкоголь и предоставление любых услуг сексуального характера. За строжайшим порядком следят доблестные санитары-мордовороты. Предисловие.
Что же, начнём.
Перед выходом HL: Alyx мне захотелось перепройти вторую часть и эпизоды (как раз бесплатно поиграть давали). Я проходил их и до этого уже много раз, однако сейчас решил внести разнообразия, чтобы получить от игры новые ощущения (и я их получил). Именно так мне пришла в голову идея совместить два небезызвестных мода MMod и Cinematic Mod.
(Установка всего этого дела описана вот здесь)
Собственно сама проблема.
Вспомнив, что в папке, где был MMod что-то про это было написано, я отправился туда. Там говорилось, что, чтобы Character Pimper (а именно он отвечает за модельки НИПов) работал, нужно удалить одну строчку в текстовом документе “gameinfo.txt” нужной нам игры (Для HL 2 это был путь: C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppssourcemodsHL2MMod_Cinematic_HL2. Перелистываем документ на середину и видим там строчку, которую вроде бы надо удалить). Однако это мне не помогло. Может быть я что-то не так сделал, а может оно действительно не работает….Хрен его знает.
Но позже я всё-таки решил эту проблему. И теперь решил поделиться своими знаниями на этот счёт с другими.
Исправление проблемы. Шаг 1.
Для особо непонятливых (вдруг такие найдутся) всё же распишу (это пример для HL2):
Почему же так? Наверное MMod и CM 2013 немножко конфликтуют в этом плане.

Теперь начинается самое интересное!
Поразмыслив логически, я решил, что нужно похимичить в папке с моделями из CM 2013. И это сработало.
Что же в итоге?
Результат: поезд сделал бум всё работает. Ну у меня, по крайней мере, точно.
Мне кажется, он похож на Ленина.
Даже не знаю, что и сказать.

Однако, несмотря на все эти танцы с бубном, вы всё равно можете встретить некоторые баги и тому подобное. Вот мне, например, несколько раз попадался НИП, у которого пузо было в жёлто-чёрных текстурах. Или вот ещё один пример: на первой локации главы “Через каналы” с некоторых противников не выпадали патроны. Хотя на следующей локации всё с этим было нормально. Возможно это было связано с тем, что вышеуказанные операции я проводил, сохранившись именно на этой локации…Вполне может быть.

Do a clean install, don’t overwrite any files. Clean install only. Clean, as in c-l-e-a-n. Don’t load any older saves too. Start anew.
Due to the nature of this mod and how Source Engine 2013/Steam handles Source Engine content you . HAVE TO HAVE ALL HALF-LIFE 2 GAMES AND MOD INSTALLED ON SAME LOGICAL DISK/DRIVE AS YOUR STEAM INSTALLATION. , for example if you have Steam installed on C:/ drive, then you have to install all games you want to play and mod itself on the same drive ( C:/ in our case ), otherwise you will have a crash on startup or error saying «Unable to find surface properties». Same goes for Cinematic Mod support, same drive as mod/hl2 games.

HOW TO MAKE CINEMATIC MOD 2013 WORK WITH HL2MMOD :
1) Grab the official download from Cinematicmod.com
2) Install it as instructed ( ON THE SAME DRIVE AS YOUR STEAM, HL2 GAMES AND MMOD INSTALLATION, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT ).
3) After you installed it, make sure if works on its own. If everything is alright proceed to next step.
4a) For HL2 Version of Cinematic Mod : Locate CM2013HL2 «maps» folder ( \Steam\steamapps\common\CM2013\hl2\custom\1_CM_looseFiles ), copy it ( maps folder ) into ( \Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\HL2MMod_Cinematic_HL2 ), it should take a while.
4b) For HL2 EP1 Version of Cinematic Mod : Locate CM2013HL2EP1 «maps» folder ( \Steam\steamapps\common\CM2013\episodic\custom\1_CM_looseFiles ), copy it ( maps folder ) into ( \Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\HL2MMod_Cinematic_EP1 ).
4c) For HL2 EP2 Version of Cinematic Mod : Locate CM2013HL2EP2 «maps» folder ( \Steam\steamapps\common\CM2013\ep2\custom\1_CM_looseFiles ), copy it ( maps folder ) into ( \Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\HL2MMod_Cinematic_EP2 ).
5) Restart your Steam client
If you did everything correctly you now should have fully working HL2MMod versions of Cinematic Mod 2013. The support for them is highly experimental, so expect glitches or crashes, I’ve tried my best.

To install the mod put all 10 folders from folder named «PUT THESE FOLDERS INSIDE SOURCEMODS FOLDER» into \Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\ and restart your Steam client, don’t forget to restart it before trying to play the mod. You should have 10 folders inside your source mods folder. Don’t put «PUT THESE FOLDERS INSIDE SOURCEMODS FOLDER» into source mods folder and expect it to work, put its contents ( 10 folders ) inside your sourcemods folder.
If you did everything correctly you now should have 9 new HL2MMod entries : HL2, EP1, EP2, Lost Coast, HL2 Update, Cinematic Mod 2013 ( HL2/EP1/EP2 ) and Minerva Metastasis. All of them should work now, granted if you read entire document.

Half-Life 2 : MMod relies upon the BETA ( Upcoming ) branch of Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer, which can be installed from your Tools section on steam. MAKE SURE TO SET Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer TO BETA ( UPCOMING ) BRANCH : Right click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer in your steam library->Betas->Select «Upcoming». Restart steam.

Epic, although it shouldn’t surprise us, since it is the best mod for Half Life 2
Best mod I have ever seen for HL2 and the fact that the mod works for the episodes too is just perfect. Although I must say that they could’ve add buttons for quick grenade throw and a quick melee. The switching for grenades and crowbar is annoying and honestly outdated in these times. It was fine in 2004 when the game launched but now its not it. For melee, it could be just a simple kick for all I care. Just to destroy the supply crate and grab the loot with one press of a button, instead of switching for crowbar or gravity gun to destroy the crate (and dont you dare to say that you can shoot the crates to get the loot without switching for crowbar or youre dead to me). And dont even mentioning that satisfying feelz to be able to stomp the headcrabs to the ground x)
And perhaps it wouldn’t be too bad to add a body model for when you drive the vehicles (airboat, buggy and a car in EP2). The big nothing in my field of view when I’m sitting in a vehicle is breaking my immersion, and I dont like it.
Still. an awesome work. This mod is great and I love it. Never going back to vanilla again.

Поклонники Half-Life 2 могут начать 2019 год ностальгическим погружением в улучшенные приключения Гордона Фримена благодаря Mmod, выпущенной в конце декабря, после девяти лет планирования и создания. В этой модификации переработаны практически все аспекты любимого многими классического шутера, выпущенного компанией Valve уже в далёком 2004 году и так и не получившего ожидаемого продолжения.
Также модификация включает незначительные улучшения искусственного интеллекта, расширяет способности солдат-комбайнов, вносит многочисленные исправления ошибок, добавляет улучшенные визуальные эффекты и переработанные старые, и многое другое. Причём почти все нежелательные для конкретного игрока нововведения мода можно при желании отключить в настройках. Всё это показано в приведённом трейлере.
MMod была разработана для полной совместимости с Half-Life 2: Update, Half-Life 2: Episode 1, Half-Life 2: Episode 2 и Half-Life 2: Lost Coast. При этом модификация посредством патчей совместимости может поддерживать сторонние моды, если у них нет собственных библиотек client.dll, server.dll. There should be multiple files in the archiveNow, to install copy:

It does, I’ve tried it in MMod though, so if you mean the Vanilla Episodes try it yourself.

I downloaded the mod and I restarted steam multiple times (the files are in sourcemods) and yet I don’t see it showing up on my games list like t would with regular Mmod.

Looks good and all but, to be honest, i don’t like Pistol animation. The end of it’s animation looks like out of place.
This mod looks REALLY good, but there is a slight issue with the gravity gun viewmodel. There is a small line, which I think should not be there. This happens on viewmodel_fov 65, but is visible even on 54.

Did you created the custom folder? You need to put the arquieves in the custom folder in the specific game you wanna play, ex (HL2MMod_Cinematic_HL2).

this is really cool, but can you do the animations with the normal hev hands and guns? also a port of this animations to the vanilla half life 2 would be nice too ^_^
I don’t think this mod is working for me. I put the files in the customs folder but not much seems to have changed and it doesn’t look like the video. The hands still seem the same as vanilla, the weapon admiration animations won’t play when I hit the reload button and the ironsights don’t line up correctly and don’t play the firing animation. I am playing the Half-Life 2: Update version of MMOD incase that’s relevant. Is this mod not compatible with Update or have I somehow screwed something else up?

This is an amazing weapon pack, thanks. Though the left arm does look a bit bugged (some sort of clipping issue) when you use the SMG and the Shotgun.

I rate it a 10/10! personal favorite, you can see the love and passion put into this thing. for 9 YEARS. Mod of the Year for me for sure!

I downloaded this mod thinking I would test out some of the new weapons and I ended up playing through half life 2 from start to finish. The weapon upgrades are excellent and significantly improve upon the games dated mechanics. The lighting improvements and hi res models are beautiful and I felt like I was playing a new half life game. I’ve downloaded mods for half life 2 before but this is my favorite. Black Mesa is good but the weapons are so satisfying to use in this update. Thank you to the mod developers who worked on this. I hope more people will play this and discover the hl2 games.

It’s been almost a year since first release, time sure flies by fast.
In this jolly spooky holiday season, I’m happy to bring Half-Life 2 : MMod 1.3 under your Christmas tree pumpkin?, Uhh, anyway, I’m here to announce first and last big patch for Half-Life 2 : MMod V1, yes, you heard me right, Half-Life 2 : MMod V2 will be a thing in a distant future, hopefully not after 9 years again.
Well, now it’s the time for the v1.3 itself! The new version of Half-Life 2 MMod bring new set of features to the games, as well as performance and compatibility enhancements. Here is much more detailed list of what’s new and what has been changed :

Скинуть папки из архива в папку sourcemods, где лежат папки ММода и согласится на объединение папок.
Только это не правит шрифты для сторонних аддонов, к сожалению.

Тогда надо в каждый аддон пихать данный фикс. Можно даже в урезанном виде. Я взял с данного фикса 2 файла:
resource\dosis-bold.ttf
resource\hl2mmod_sourceschemebase.res
запаковал в VPK и полученный файл поместил в custom папку патча, например, свежего Downfall. Меню даже русским стало.

Точняк. Тогда можно сэкономить 2 килобайта)) Ссылку обновил.
Шрифт почему-то перестаёт работать после запаковки в vpk. Залил новую версию с распакованными vpk.
Странно, у меня вроде и так и так нормально работает.

This patch will allow you to play through Prospekt with MMod’s gameplay revisions and visual enhancements.
Before you install the patch, make sure that you have the following things installed:
• Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer + Half-Life 2: Episode Two
You also need to be enrolled into Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer’s ‘upcoming’ beta branch.
Here are step-by-step instructions on how to do so, courtesy of malorite:
— Right-click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer. (you can find it in the ‘Tools’ section of Steam)
— Go to the «Properties» tab. In the «Properites» tab, open the «Betas» menu.
— Change the «Select the beta you would opt into» option to «upcoming».
— Restart Steam.
Extract the «HL2MMod_Prospekt» folder into your sourcemods folder. Then restart your Steam client.
• Reverted the changes to the internal content mounting order from Update 1.13 ;
• Minor changes to the internal content mounting order ;
• Added a «Leave game» button to the in-game menu that allows the player to return to the main menu whenever they like ;
• Added support for loading custom content through the main «HL2MMod» folder ;
• Minor visual tweaks to the main menu ;
This update brings full compatibility with the 1.3 patch for HL2: MMod. Steam Overlay functionality is also restored with this update.

UPDATE: After 2+ years, I redid it since it wasn’t good. Phong didn’t actually work. I redid it with the latest Gigapixel and made a custom normal map.

Half-Life 2 : MMod can support user-created mods, as long as they don’t have their own binary files ( client.dll, server.dll ), for that they need «compatibility patches», an example of such patch can be the Lost Coast version of mmod, check out its gameinfo.txt for an example on how HL2MMod manages and loads its content.
Half-Life 2 : MMod relies upon the BETA ( Upcoming ) branch of Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer, which can be installed from your Tools section on steam. MAKE SURE TO SET Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer TO BETA ( UPCOMING ) BRANCH : Right click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer in your steam library->Betas->Select «Upcoming». Restart steam.

MMOD: Classic is an addon that changes almost of MMOD-customizable-features in order to restore the Half-Life 2 feels, making some stuff lore-friendly, with new contents. Please read the ReadMe text file, or just from down here, for installation instructions and extras!
«What’s in this addon? And what will it does?»
MMOD: Classic changes almost the entirely of MMOD-customizable-features:
— Every weapons have been completely reanimated, sometimes edited(except Gravity Gun because it’s using vanilla animations), in order to make it looks as close as Half-Life 2’s animations, making it lore-friendly, plus with new changes to it.
The changes done will make your experience faster-paced, due to the quickness in movements and and smoothness in motions.
This will probably making combat much easier and lighter than the usual slow-paced MMOD experience.
+ ExtendedSight is a zoom-like options, but doesn’t move the weapons like MMOD does.
Plus increases the zooming speed to make it better and proficient in combat.
+ ExtendedSight can help you aim better due to it’s zoom-in feature, making spotting
far-away enemies less a pain to do.
— Guns sounds have been restored from HL2, to keep the aesthetic of the weapons, as HL2 should be.
— Crosshairs have been all restored from HL2, technically, the original crosshairs helps you aim better.
— Blood particles have been restored from HL2, to make hit feedbacks easier to spot, plus improves performance for low-end PCs.
Installation Method
Step 2: Put it into each one’s «custom» folder of those mod folders: «HL2MMod_HL2; HL2MMod_EP1; HL2MMod_EP2».
Step 3: Boot up MMOD on Steam and you’ll be able to enjoy MMOD: Classic features on Half-Life 2 and it’s episodes.
Extras!
It’s on the player’s choices to choose it or not.
It’s packed and named: «IronsightOption.vpk». If you wanna install it, just follow the instructions at the installation guide for the same file.
Compatibility
This addon is compatible for the following addons:
— Models: Likely to be Compatible (MMOD: Classic changed some worldmodel stuff, especially for AR2 and SMG1. Any addon that changes them is not compatible!)
— Viewmodels: Not Compatible
— Script: Likely to be Compatible (MMOD: Classic changed the weapons scripts so ExtendedSight and Ironsight would be working properly. Any addon that changes this is not compatible!)

MMOD Tactical Statuts 08/23/2022
Hello everyone.
As you may already know, there has been no news or progress on MMOD Tactical for over a year. Come explain why and what will happen to MMOD: Tactical in the future.
First:
The bad thing was not announcing anything that due to my absence, the rest of the team had to go to other projects due to my absence. The good thing, thanks to the success of my commission models, is that it acquired assets that would serve MMOD Tactical very well, which I am excited to show off, but all in due time. MMOD Tactical never got canceled or died, it just happened for personal problems of its members, like everyone else. Also the codder issue.
God, you don’t know how much this frustrates me, as much as I looked for someone who was interested in participating, someone serious and experienced, I only got people of dubious origin, and honestly I prefer to cancel the mod, than to trust someone who doesn’t want to show their projects for some reason.

the mod will go through a Rework, everything previously seen as combine soldiers will be changed by models that he got with better quality, the old models will be released for Gmod and SFM soon.
Also some weapons that were planned for the mod will be discarded since in my opinion they would overload the mod, but unfortunately or at least for now, MMOD Tactical will continue to be a reskin of MMOD, but with new additions using Mapadd and other modifications for the campaigns and survival maps based on campaign or community maps, so if you want to make yourself known with some survival map or story, it will be welcome.
And finally, I want to thank those people who are still waiting and are supporting the mod to come out one day, By December I hope to be able to show progress although it will probably show it before, since I am excited to continue in mod with what I have and from the new ideas that will improve the mod.
Other than that a few things were also dropped, so that the mod doesn’t feel so overloaded.I have nothing more to say, thank you all for your support and soon I will be showing progress, probably next week new things will be seen, for now I can only say this.

Half-Life 2 : MMod Weapon Replacements

If you want SWEPs, here are (well, used to be, not anymore) MMod SWEPs on TFA Base
After subscribing/unsubscribing, if the models are invisible or they don’t replace the default ones, restart GMod and it should then work. If not, try resubscribing to the addon. Also make sure you don’t have any other addon that replaces the default HL2 weapons, as it will obviously cause conflicts.

— sprinting/walking animations (might not be perfect in Multiplayer, as it needed to be done serverside)

— both Player and NPC weapon sounds
There are not and there will not be ironsights for the weapons. Asking for it won’t help

A collection of fixes and enhancements for Half-Life 2: MMod. Make sure to read the description before installing!
This project applies various adjustments and fixes for issues present in both Half-Life 2: MMod and the base Half-Life 2 games, with the goal of it being an «essential» patch that players would want to be always using when playing HL2: MMod.
The mod primarliy makes changes to the games that MMod supports by default, but it should also work fine with most community-made compatibility patches, including my own patches.
Release #1 lays the foundation for the project, featuring numerous fixes, adjustments and quality-of-life improvements. Here are some of the highlights:
• The Gluon Gun now has a proper viewmodel and worldmodel and is usable without the need to activate cheats. (as pictured in the «Brief Oveview» section)
• Added the ability to load custom content directly from the main «HL2MMod» folder.
• Various missing menu options have been restored, including access to Developer Commentary in Episodes One and Two.
• Various localization fixes and changes have been applied, including the addition of closed captions for the Combine Overwatch. NOTE: The new closed captions are only applied to the base Half-Life 2 lines and not the MMod-specific lines. Subtitles for the MMod lines are planned to be added with Release #2 of the project, along with a larger overhaul of the closed captions.
• The original HL2 combat damage values have been re-applied to MINERVA: Metastasis.
• Dozens of fixes for issues in Cinematic Mod 2013 have been applied, including texture fixes, music fixes and the removal of various pieces of explicit content, including a certain object in Alyx’s bedroom. You know the one.
NOTE: It is recommended that you install this mod over a clean installation of both HL2: MMod and the latest official version of Cinematic Mod 2013.
To install the mod, open the «HL2MMod_Fixes_and_Enhancements_v1» folder and extract the contents of the folder to your sourcemods folder. If you are asked to overwrite files, please do so.
Once you’ve done this, restart your Steam client to make sure that all of the changes are correctly applied.
RESTART YOUR GAME AFTER INSTALLING THE ADDON!
This addon replaces every default Garry’s Mod weapon with improved high-quality weapons on Half-Life 2: MMod animations. It also includes sounds from this mod as well. This pack has every latest feature from original Half-Life 2: MMod Weapon Replacement Pack but I also added some new features by myself.
IRONSIGHTS WON’T BE ADDED!
Features:
— Stunning worldmodels, ported straight from viewmodels.
— Fully dynamic pulse rifle magazine display.
— New animations, stunstick damages you underwater.
— Dynamic muzzleflash lights, low ammo clicking sounds.
— Dynamic clientside magazines, each with their representative models.
Known list of bugs:
— Shotgun shells invisible in third-person.
— No muzzle flashes in third-person.
Possible future additions:
— Add even more particle effects! For different entities like missiles, energy balls or smg grenades.

Warning: Explosion or Particle Enhancer addon may break this addon for some people. To avoid that, install particle enhancer first, restart your game and then install this replacement pack and you are good to go.
