— A third round of balance changes to tech and units, potentially the final huge one for a while. A summary of the changes can be found below and the full changelog can be found here: https://pastebin.com/WCKVkkQg
-Research Ahead of Time penalty increased from 0.6 to 1.0 and base research cost itself decreased by 15%. Some specific categories of techs given slight increases or decreases.
-4 New Units added: Motorized variants of Recon, Medical Chems, Logistics and Maintenance.
-Anti-Air and planes given huge changes. AA will be more effective at shooting down planes but less effective at reducing CAS damage without further upgrades or other sources of Air Attack. CAS missions and planes both made less effective at base, Strategical Bombers and Blimps given slight buffs.
-Breakthrough for Energy, Ballistic and Melee equipment made more comparable, Spec Ops and Power Armor given minor positive adjustments, enforcers given a handful of small nerfs to defense, breakthrough and speed.
-Increases to Hard Attack for Anti-Tank, Fireteams and Demolitions and decreases to organization. Some piercing values increased for dealing with high armor early on. Demolitions also slightly buffed. Power Armor Support also given more scaling into the late game.
-Small buffs to Dogs, Chems made to also grant recovery rate to divisions, Recon and Maintenance adjusted. Logistics equipment capture ratio replaced with Initiative to be a mix of normal logistics and base game signal companies.
-Small nerfs to Motorized Enforcers and buffs to Motorized Demolitions and Fireteams. Small buff to Tanks alongside nerfs to Vehicle in-between techs.
-Robots given higher reliability, recruitable population cost on efficiency techs slightly reduced.
-Miscellaneous adjustments to land doctrines as well as the Perks and Doctrine School for players with No Step Back. Includes additions of the Initiative and Coordination stats from No Step Back, quality of life changes to Radios and many fixes to malfunctioning doctrine effects.
-Adjustments to many minor techs. Communication techs now grant Coordination, Agriculture and Habitation techs made more effective, resource generation buildings such as Foundries given buffs to base production.

This includes refinements to last patch’s vehicle changes, stat overhauls to Robots, far more resilient infantry and balancing to their respective equipment types, changes to armor and piercing sources, and more. Карта постъядерной Америки 2275 года
Система национальных фокусов, решений, определяющих характер и вектор развития государства, присутствующая в оригинальной Hearts of Iron 4, оказалась просто невероятно удачной для придания глобальной стратегии ролевых элементов. Число и качество проработки фокусов впечатляют: с одной стороны, они могут оказать существенное влияние на развитие игрового процесса, а с другой, позволяют ощутить себя главой той или иной фракции, направляющим её по определённому пути развития. Единственное, что, пожалуй, способно стать преградой на пути получения удовольствия от отыгрыша и управления фракцией в Old World Blues – неполная локализация модификации на русский язык. Впрочем, команда локализаторов-энтузиастов продолжает работу над переводом, который уже затрагивает почти все основные фракции и значительное число минорных.
Экономика войны
В оригинальной Hearts of Iron IV выполнение фокусов и строительство играли роль своего рода прелюдии к войне. И хотя вряд ли какая-либо модификация может изменить фундаментальные механики, изначально заложенные в игру, Old World Blues делает очень заметные шаги в сторону повышения значимости невоенных элементов игрового процесса.

Однако им найдется и мирное применение: можно сделать инвестиции в массу гражданских проектов, таких как восстановление электростанций или портов.
Инвестиции будут крайне полезны для развития
Во-вторых, существенно увеличился спектр доступных производственных возможностей. Old World Blues позволяет вместо войны за провинцию, со старта обладающую запасами воды, электроники или металла, начать производить данные ресурсы на своей территории. Разумеется, это увеличит не только экономическую мощь фракции, но также и её привлекательность для завоевания менее трудолюбивыми, но зато более агрессивными соседями.

Краткий итог
Old World Blues – великолепная модификация, которая может понравиться как ветеранам серии игр Fallout, так и любителям продуманных глобальных стратегий. As such, this page will not be up-to-date with our most recent patches: instead, it shall be one behind, as you should be using either the Steam or PDXMods releases for most games. However, since some patches break save-file compatibility, you can now pull previous patches and manually install them from here.

The newest expansion, By Blood Alone, for Paradox Interactive’s critically acclaimed strategy game, Hearts of Iron IV, has just been announced. To celebrate, here’s five great community mods for the latest entry in the series!
NOTE: Major updates for HOI IV tend to break mods like those in this list until they’re updated. Some are already updated to the previous expansion, No Step Back, but if not, you can rollback to 1.10.5 «Collie» or 1.10.8 «Collie Anniversary.» Steam users can rollback by right clicking the game in the library, selecting «Properties» and selecting the desired version under the «Betas» menu. VF’s Brazil

Between 1930-1945 Brazil suffered one of it’s most troubled political times and it’s second biggest economical and industrial boom of the 20st Century. In light of this historical setting and the importance that such decades represents of Brazilian history, it’s nothing but fitting for it to have a focus tree, complete with a plethora of decisions, military and civil leaders, ideas, songs, sounds, resources, manufactories, advisors and flavour, in both English and Portuguese.
Old World Blues
Old World Blues is a Fallout total conversion mod for HOI4, featuring a brand new map, entirely new technology, massive focus trees and many other new features. Total conversions putting this game into different eras or focusing on particular countries are quite common, but fictional universes are rarer, and even rarer still are tight, laser-focused conversions putting scale to the comparatively small segment of the world seen in Fallout: New Vegas.
Victorian Age
This will be a total conversion to the Victorian Age for Hearts of Iron IV. The year is 1850. The world is changing rapidly as technologies develop faster than ever. New empires will rise. Old ones shall crumble.

The Epic War

‘The Epic War’ brings an innovative experience to the player in exploring other, alternative historical events and their impact on World War II, such as with the effect of a hypothesised American withdrawal. PAX ends up bringing new alternatives of histories and variations of government, which will prove very interesting for players as they determine which new branches are worth pursuing.
Belgium: A World Major
With this mod you can now play with Belgium, join the allies, the axis or the Soviet Union. Create your own alliance and become a master of Europe and the world. Revive old Burgundy or build a new empire. Replay the story or change it with the destiny of Belgium in your hands. The final goal has evolved beyond Belgium, being to make the game more immersive and with new possibilities for the so-called minor countries in the game.
Thicker Than Water
Hearts of Iron is a grand strategy franchise where players are required to plan great strategic moves on a global scale to claim victory for their faction. The games are traditionally set in the World War II period, placing players into the conflict in control of one of the major (or minor) nations that took part.
By Blood Alone continues the tradition of expansions focusing on alternate storylines
and the potential to shape a different kind of world history
A Different History
The fourth entry in the series, also the newest, has received a handful of expansions so far such as No Step Back (which we covered back in November). The newest, By Blood Alone, explores alternate histories regarding Italy, Ethiopia, and the Swiss, and introduces an aircraft designer for particularly invested tacticians. 12 new music tracks will also feature to set atmosphere and scene, as well as peace conferences, embargoes, and new units that all diversify the systems available to players.
Player choice and strategy play a large part in success within HOI IV’s sandbox; the
right or wrong tactical play can cause domino effects hours later
Flying Solo
Hearts of Iron IV: By Blood Alone is expected to release later this year, and will come with «a major update, free for all Hearts of Iron IV players.» What form this update takes is not currently revealed, but it’s safe to say devoted players and modders alike will have plenty more to dig into in the upcoming expansion.

Context: Chems were quite strong, especially when spammed. The buffs have been increased, and the negative modifiers toned down. — In Utah, to the south you can experience a struggle between the three giants of the area in New Caanan, the White Legs and the Eighties. Here you can see several fan favorite characters appear such as Ulysses, Salt-Upon-Wounds and a certain ex-Legionary turned Burned Man. To the north experience a smaller scale story as Heaven’s Gate gradually spread their influence across the southern river bank and the robotic reformers from Murtaugh, the lordly vaulters from Lord’s Anointed, the pious men from High Chapel and the Glassmakers in New Hammond all try to deal with this new threat.
— In Oregon experience a chaotic king of the hill battle to find out who is on top! In addition to an entirely new tree for Troll Warren the mind controlled followers of Mesmeralda in the Marrow Drinkers, the followers of the great M’lulu in the Mirelurk Tribe, the faithful of the Ruddy Man in the Apostles and the many different faces of the Bonedancer Tribe can all duke it out to see who can rule the north. Expect backstabbing, alliances and simple conquest to rule the day in this hellish warzone.
— Added new Caps mechanic to the mod. This brings with it a Unit limiter in the form of caps cost per unit and a small market for you to buy equipment from. This also comes with a new gamerule that allows you to enable/disable it if you wish. Tutorial event at game start for patch 2.1.0, as well as a guide in the pipboy “Mechanics” section. This is mainly to serve as a balancing tool to help out with Legion and NCR and will not impact minors too much negatively.
— Completely overhauled our current set of government ideas and policies. In addition to the base conscription law there are now conscription laws unique to Raiders, Tribals, the Brotherhood, the Legion, Mexico and the Troll Warren!
— Added Followers of the Apocalypse as a decision/event system for nations to deal with. They might cause you to go mad but that seems to be part of their charm. This also comes with a new gamerule that allows you to enable/disable it if you wish.
— Added slavery system! Certain nations, those with slavery enabled, will capture slaves during conquests/wars. Slaves impact events and production of the country.

Description:
Courier Six is a submod for Old World Blues that incorporates the protagonist from New Vegas into the overall events and storyline of the mod. This is done through a new branch in the New Vegas focus tree.
In the Old World Blues mod, The Courier’s major involvement in the war for Hoover Dam had been cut out, and some story elements rewritten to exclude him (presumably so that the mod would fit the gameplay of HOI4). Well I re-rewrote The Courier back into mod, with a few key alterations to the New Vegas storyline to facilitate HOI4 gameplay.
