Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery

Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery (逆向坍塌：面包房行动) is an upcoming strategy RPG game for PC, mobile and Nintendo Switch expected in 2022, developed by MICA Team as a remake of 2013’s Codename: Bakery Girl. It will be published by X.D. Network Inc. and localized in English, Japanese, Korean, traditional, and simplified Chinese. One of its taglines is “30 years after Girls’ Frontline, Code Name Bakery begins.”

The game features updated graphics and character designs and will most probably follow the same setting as the original game, which took place during the First Antarctic War of 2092, and followed MID agent Mendo and the mysterious girl Jefuty in their fight against the Union of Rossartrism Nations Coalition armies. The plot and character backgrounds will be tweaked from the original game to accommodate the new expanded universe and content from the unreleased DLCs planned for the original game will be part of the remake. The story will contain multiple paths (like Continuum Turbulence), with the ability to backtrack through Jefuty’s “ability to recall and challenge her fate”. Some fights will receive unique animations. [2]

As the keen-eyed agents among you have no doubt noticed, a new face has made her debut in this most recent trailer. Say hello to Sugar, our heroic and sassy lieutenant from the Special Forces division. Suger will play a pivotal role in Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery.
What is it about Suger that is so enchanting? Could it be her fangs? Or perhaps her mechanical scorpion tail? Don’t be fooled by her sweet name and even sweeter appearance. Suger is living proof that «the most alluring ones are the most vicious.» If you aren’t convinced, perhaps her dual-wielded guns will persuade you otherwise.
Remastered with Innovative Gameplay
In addition to enriching our characters’ stories and expanding the world within which they take place, we have also spent a great deal of effort to improve in-game systems and bring our visuals to a whole new level of quality.

-Event Divergence-
The original version of Code Name: Bakery Girl only included 12 linear levels. In Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery, the remastered version, we have implemented a network of event divergences and a «Backtrack» system. As a result, the number of levels has increased greatly and battles have become far more complex.

After experiencing a preview of the storyline, many of our agents suspected that, of the Three Goddesses, Jefuty had the power to «travel back in time.» Now, the truth has been revealed.
Although Jefuty cannot truly return to the past, she has the ability to recall and challenge her fate once more. With the addition of the new «Backtrack» system, agents will need to guide Jefuty through levels and use her special abilities to make the best choices possible. Searching for clues and intel during combat is the key to survival and to finding the various ways in which fate takes shape.
-All New Special Combat-
In addition to conventional gameplay in battles, we have created new levels focused on special combat techniques, for example: use field mechanics to defeat enemies in «terrain warfare.» ; «Incite» conflict and cause enemies to attack each other; or become the stealthiest agent in battle and wear down your enemies, etc.
-More Enchanting Lore-
We want agents to feel as immersed in the world of Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery and as attached to its characters as possible. In addition to remastered content, exquisite animations and enthralling stories bring the thrills of battle to new heights. Codename: Bakery Girl (面包房少女 CODE NAME:BAKERY GIRL) is a strategy RPG game developed by MICA Team in partnership with GameMaster and Vanguard Sound, released for PC in China on 9 March 2013. [1] It takes place during the First Antarctic War, in 2092, and follows MID agent Mendo and the mysterious girl Jefuty in their fight against the Union of Rossartrism Nations Coalition armies.

This game is Girls’ Frontline’s predecessor and a sequel to its story. Sound assets from Codename: Bakery Girl have been reused in Girls’ Frontline and Bakery Girl’s Secret Documents served are the basis for the Confidential Files of The Art of Girls’ Frontline Vol.1, linking the two universes.

Codename: Bakery Girl can be considered a reimagining of the 2009 visual novel Girl of the Bakehouse since despite changing almost past recognition, the story’s structure is very similar. Codename: Bakery Girl will itself receive a remake titled Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery, bringing it to the international market for the first time.

Gameplay [ edit ]

Codename: Bakery Girl is a top-view square-grid turn-based strategy RPG (or tactical RPG). On their turn, players expend each of their unit’s action points to move them on the map and take a variety of actions, such as gathering supplies to craft equipment from gathered parts, attacking enemies or setting up traps or automated turrets. Stealth is an important part of the gameplay: most of the map is hidden in a fog of war concealing enemy positions, and each enemy has a limited field of vision. By moving on concealment tiles such as forest or buildings, and by trading movement for stealth with the “prone” position, player units can move undetected and perform sneak attacks.

The RPG component of the game comes from the preparation screen before entering each mission, where players assign equipment and allocate enhancement points to each unit, as well as upgrade equipment.

There are 10 chapters in Codename: Bakery Girl.

Codename: Bakery Girl takes place in the mountainous Karachay Region of Caucasian Russia, near Teberda City. It begins on the morning of December 18th, 2092 when the unit of Captain Carl Mintfield is ambushed by forces of the Union of Rossartrism Nations Coalition (URNC). Agent Mendo is caught in the explosion of a rocket and faints. When he wakes up, he is being tended to by a mysterious girl with white hair named Jefuty. Mendo’s head injury made him forget what his original mission was, but the girl insists on guiding him to safety as URNC forces are searching the forest. Jefuty displays superhuman movement speed and hearing as they avoid and fight the enemy troops, and reach a village where Mendo remembers an emergency communication points has been set up.

There, they find Atena and Jevon, members of the TASA Razor team in charge of supporting MID. Jevon explains to Mendo that he is a member of the MID, the internal affairs of the Antarctic Union’s army, and his team was sent to the Caucasus to recover a certain objective under operation Bakery. The exact objective of Bakery is a secret unknown to Jevon, and forgotten by Mendo. The MID teams were operating under secrecy with the help of a URNC officer named Lavrentiy Beria, who turned out to be a double agent and set up the attack.

During the night, Jefuty reveals to Mendo that she knows where Beria’s base is, and both depart without informing the TASA agents to take revenge. While they reconnoiter the Sukhumi Special Air Force Base, they see Beria talk with an unknown man and a mysterious girl, which immediately sense that Jefuty, her “big sister”, is near. Mendo and Jefuty are forced to flee into a heavily contaminated zone struck by a Collapse Fluid cloud and nuclear warheads during World War Three, and still inhabited by violent mutated ELIDs. Seeing the ELIDs triggers vague memories in Jefuty.

As they become trapped by ELIDs, Mendo and Jefuty are helped by the mysterious girl, who uses superhuman powers to destroy the ELIDs, inform them that Beria’s troops have left the base mostly unguarded, and leaves. Mendo and Jefuty return to the base and cross path with Captain Carl, who managed to survive the assault on MID’s teams a day earlier. The group infiltrate the base and reach the command room to interrogate Beria, but they fall into Beria’s trap and are surrounded. Jefuty asks Beria what happened to her little sister Lige.

In a flashback, Jefuty remembers that she and Lige were among the refugees convoy that was massacred by the URNC troops, but that Lige was killed by a tank during their escape. Later, she witnessed Lige’s body reassembling itself as Beria and his mysterious associate, who presented himself as Lige’s father. Beria reveals that Lige’s true name is Noel, and that she was being used to track down Jefuty. Mendo and Carl trigger the explosives they had prepared earlier, making an escape from Beria’s ambush. As they are about to leave the base, Noel blocks their exit, resenting Jefuty for leaving her behind, thinking her dead, and asking her to join their father. Jefuty refuses, insisting that they are normal girls and that they had a promise to find their mother together.

The Antartican forces manage to force Noel to retreat, but she warns them that a URNC army has put the region on lockdown. The team runs into the night to their extraction point, where an aircraft will pick them up in 30 minutes. As they barricade into a church, Mendo admits to Jefuty that he had understood she was Bakery’s objective, but was glad they could bond as persons, though she didn’t smile once. As Beria’s troops encircle the church, a long fight begins, where the Antarctican soldiers manage to wear down the URNC troops.

Endings [ edit ]

There are three different endings depending on the capacity of the player to deplete the URNC troops before taking Beria down.

The bad ending plays if the player kills Beria. In his last breath, Beria taunts Jefuty, saying she will never see Lige again. Jefuty decides to go searching for her, and when Mendo tries to prevent her from walking into an obvious trap, she shoots him in the leg so he won’t stop her then leave with a sad face.

The normal ending plays if the player manages to destroy Beria’s forces then approach him. As the encirclement weakens, Mendo and Jefuty run after the fleeing Beria. As he dies, he laments that the war is entirely caused by Jefuty’s existence, as she is the key to unlocking the power of Collapse Technology, and that she actually planned for the MID and URNC to fight over her and use the chaos to disappear. Jefuty reveals to Mendo that she is indeed an experiment, but hates that her very existence is causing a war and the death of many people. She finally asks Mendo to kill her, but he refuses, believing in her right to live as a normal human being or use her powers for a good cause. Jefuty smiles and leave.

The good ending plays if the player triggers a normal ending while having collected all Secret Documents. It is identical to the normal ending, but Jefuty and Mendo share a kiss before she leaves.

There was no T-dolls in the original game because GFL development came after Bakery game in real-life, despite in GFL’s timeline the story took place 30 yrs (2062 A.D.) before Bakery OP (2092 A.D.).

However, there is always the possibility of adding T-dolls in the remake, but might require a major overhaul. It depends on how much effort the dev team is prepared to devote.

Btw, I am not sure why some ppl can’t even understand the difference between sequel and prequel, which actually depends on the timeline each story happened, NOT by the order each story was written by author in real-life. It puzzled me.

Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery expands upon the Reverse Collapse universe that Girls’ Frontline is also set in. Sunborn Network is bringing back the original Code Name: Bakery Girl in 2013 by completely rebuilding and improving the game with new artwork, voice-over, new storylines, and new gameplay mechanics. The remake will dive deeper into the connection between Girls’ Frontline and Code Name Bakery, enriching the lore that the fans are fascinated with.

The story of Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery happens 30 years after the events of Girls’ Frontline. The world is plagued by war and resource crises because of the Collapse Fluid pollution. During the worldвЂs post-war reconstruction process, the newly formed “Antarctic Union” and the “Union of Rossartrism Nations Coalition” (URNC) begin to fight over the result of the “Three Goddesses Project.”

Mendo, an operative from MID (the Antarctic Union’s intelligence agency), is ambushed in a vital mission in the North Caucasus. He is saved by a girl with silver hair named “Jefuty.” Players will control Mendo and Jefuty facing the harsh terrains, overwhelming URNC soldiers, and unknown force pulling the strings behind the scenes. Gonna derail this thread by saying I would love to see Azur Lane Crosswave on Steam as well. More so given how Sony’s gone and drunk the kool aid.

Well, I mean there’s nothing wrong with the nep nep games, their pc ports are zero effort which is really sad. But no way am I shelling out for a ps4.

I’m just blown away that this is coming to PC. It seems they’re updating this one, so they could be adding in T-Dolls and showing the aftermath of the GFL story. Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

Fixed that for you, could probably do with more quotation marks.

You say that but er, no. First of all the trailer has a segment showing a comparison of the original and new gameplay graphics and it is definately a massive improvement with higher resolution, better depth and detail to the environment and smother animations (The trailer shows the original graphics at 0:10 and switches to the new graphics at 0:13).

THEN you need to add the fact that the game is actually getting translated! For anyone more interested in the story more than the graphics (which if its anything like GFL should at least be interesting) this is a necessity unless youre already a skilled Chinese speaker.

Also considering it is a remaster of a complete single-player game i dont see MICA being stupid enough to try and shoehorn in extra monetisation or micro-transactions because whether genuine or calculated, they seem to realise that a good customer reputation pays for itself. Scepticism is good but this isnt EA or Activision, so dont start bashing them until they’ve done something to earn it.

Girls’ Frontline 6th Anniversary Livestream Recap

Girls’ Frontline

Girls’ Frontline 6th Anniversary Livestream started began with, of course, Girls’ Frontline. First on the menu is content relating only to the CN server of Girls’ Frontline: 6th Anniversary Costumes. Because of covid restrictions and the lockdown in Shanghai, workload was slowed, but to make up for it this batch of costumes will be getting two Live2D costumes at the same time among the rest of the set.

Additionally, there will be a special Protocol Assimilation capture pool wherein players will get 10 free captures per day throughout the event. Normal Impulses, Extra Impulses, and Svarog Tickets can still be used in this pool too. A random Ringleader will start in the pool and once it’s captured and the pool is manually reset, another random Ringleader will rotate in from the pictured units. Sadly this will not be on EN this year.

Next up is the standard Lucky Bag which gives a random costume once purchased. This time, every costume in this package is a Live2D costume!

Anniversary Supply Boxes make a return with a new set of costumes.

Finally, a point event will reward a new Type-64 costume. Among the rest of the Anniversary goodies is the usual span of various Rate-Ups, Gem resets, and True Core Mask.

Girls’ Frontline 3.0 Client

Sunborn has been hard at work on the new 3.0 client of Girls’ Frontline. They’re hoping for an overall performance upgrade and smoother gameplay experience. Below you’ll find a side-by-side comparison of the current client versus the new 3.0 client showing off its significant increase in loading speeds throughout the various menus of the game.

New Collab

Most of the community expected there to be a new collab, many even thought it would be Girls und Panzer, however, what we will actually be getting has caught everyone by surprise! Girls’ Frontline’s next collaboration event will be with Zombieland Saga: Revenge. It’s got Idols, it’s got zombies, it’s got little girls being maimed. seems like a perfect fit for Girls’ Frontline actually. I wonder if our new cast will make any ELID friends?

Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery is the long awaited remake of Mica Team’s older game, Code Name Bakery Girl. Sadly it will continue to remain long-awaited as they have decided to delay the game once again in order to provide the best game possible. The game’s release date is still undetermined at this time.

In the meantime they’ve shared a brand new animated PV, which Yuzhong jested that it burned up a lot of money. This PV was a secret project Yuzhong sprang up at the last second. «I’ve always wanted to see Jefuty and the others animated.», he said.

Within the new trailer was the reveal of a brand new character to Reverse Collapse, one that was also never present in the original game. Her name is Suger, age 20, and she serves as a Lieutenant in the United Rossartrist Nations Coalition’s (URNC) «Werewolf» Special Operations Force. Suger is described as having a lively personality and a fierce heart. She thrives in exciting and stimulating moments. Suger is equipped with two firearms and a cybernetic scorpion tail.

Followed by the animated trailer and Suger’s introduction was an all new gameplay trailer showing off new mechanics like stealth or distractions, the return of the dreaded Type-D ELID, and much more.

It was noted that all Boss-level opponents will receive special mini-cutscenes such as Jefuty fighting off a mutated Noel clone, or Suger rushing our MCs. It is unknown if there will be any gameplay input during these special scenes.

The story and scenario of Reverse Collapse will be much longer and complicated than the original, with branching paths similar to Girls’ Frontline’s major events only this time leading toward different possible endings. If players want the True Ending, they’ll have to backtrack through branches to find the right routes and paths to take.

Project Neural Cloud

Project Neural Cloud’s third major event titled Inverted Mordent Resonance is slated to release soon along with new costumes and Dolls to go with the brand story and Sector, Burbank, which was already lightly touched upon in Kuro’s (MDR) mini-event during her release.

Nascita and Puzzle are the new frontrunner Dolls of the event, designed and drawn by well-known eroge artist, Gyokai. Aren’t they great? Nascita was stated to be an antagonist within the event, but being a recruitable Doll means she won’t stay that way, how will the Professor get her on their side!?

Sol is also receiving a very stylish sentai outfit during the event. For FREE! Sadly this does not come with a Sol buff. please buff Sol, Kamie!

The other costumes are casualwear and are not free.

Neural Cloud is heading towards its first big climax and it seems the plot will be modular or «seasonal» like Girls’ Frontline.
(Example: Singularity was the end of «season 1» for Girls’ Frontline).

The event will feature a unique UI and seek to offer a true roguelike experience with even completely random stages. Like past events, Mordent Resonance will provide players the opportunity to pick between an easy walk in the park or challenging difficulties for extra rewards. If you just want to read the story and have no interest in sweating over gameplay, Neural Cloud provides.

A new mini-game will be introduced during the event as per tradition.

Aside from the new event, Neural Cloud will continue to receive optimization updates such as Ultimate descriptions on icon hover, a pause button, Oasis residents, dorm expansion, and a weather system to go along with the day/night system for the Oasis and home screen. They’re also adding a relationship map too.

To cap things off, Neural Cloud already has a 2.0 client in the works to offer system revamps, new features, new playstyles, and greater optimizations.

Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium

As many may or may not know, there were a lot of problems with GFL2’s 2nd CBT. It was so widely criticized that Yuzhong started this segment by apologizing for tons and tons of problems and issues testers had. In response to this, he didn’t want to only cover new upcoming additions, but also talk about concrete things, like how they intend to fix the game.

Fan-favorite characters will be making a return such as: ST AR-15, TMP, Welrod, WA2000, PP-90, VSK, Type95, and KSVK, just to name a few. There is more pictured below and there is surely more to be revealed.

The new PV is actually a remake of the very first one (the one that was of really terrible quality) However, they didn’t simply remake it, they got serious and Yuzhong brought in outside professional military consultants to mocap units, get routes and movement right, and make the gunplay perfect.

Additionally, the existing cast will receive both visual and animation improvements. The environments in each stage will be receiving visual overhauls as well to breathe more life into the setting and create a more realistic view of the world of Girls’ Frontline.

The gameplay shown appears to be roughly the same as it was during CBT2 with some noticeable differences, mainly the lack of elemental assignments to characters who seem to be designated by their class now instead. The gameplay showed viewable enemy stats, what happens when a target is suppressed, and deployable and destructible cover. Defender type characters can make better use of covers and some may even be able to push/pull enemies.

Replacing the elemental alignment system originally tied to characters is an ammo system wherein players will be able to load either Energy or Ballistic ammo on the fly to deal with different types of enemies. Some skills will be revamped from what we’ve seen before, and there will be new passives associated with pushing or pulling enemies and the ability to effect other enemies when done so to another.

The Dorm system has been revamped, even though it was previously not available in either of the past two closed beta tests. The casting couch star of today is Peritya, showing off a bit and giving us a tour of the dorm itself. Raising Affection with a Doll will unlock more possibilities in the Dorm. A weather system will be implemented to make the Dorm feel more intimate. Swimsuits were mentioned as possible outfits too.

A new piece of content being worked on is a top-down exploration game where players will control a lead Doll among a squad and search for resources, avoid enemy patrols, and finally extract with their loot. Kind of looks familiar, doesn’t it? Something starting with a T and ending with kov?

The final part of the stream was going over their planned music festival, which unfortunately keeps being delayed because of Covid. There is still no date for this Carnival. Lastly, GFL-themed metro cards. CN exclusive. More merch was originally planned, but they decided to hold off and show those off during individual game streams.

Tactical RPG Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery Coming To Nintendo Switch

X.D. Network and Sunborn Network have announced that Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery will release on Nintendo Switch.

This tactical turn-based role-playing game is set in the near future, where Earth has plunged into the Second Cold War.

That has seen two factions – the emerging Antarctic Union and the old guard UURSG – battle for dominance over cutting-edge technology that can turn the tide of war.

MID operative Mendo was the sole survivor of an ambush on his tactical team during a mission, the result of which left him with amnesia.

After he was rescued by a mysterious silver haired-girl called Jefuty, they find themselves being pursued by both factions and must now work together to escape such peril.

As Mendo gets closer to the truth, the mystery that surrounds Jefuty’s true identity will be revealed and it soon becomes clear that he has become part of a wider conspiracy.

The game has been completely rebuilt from and improved upon the original Code Name: Bakery Girl, and shares the same universe as the popular mobile game Girls’ Frontline.

Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.

«Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery» тактическая ролевая игра от китайской студии Mica Team, создателей Code Name: Bakery Girl и Girls’ Frontile, которая по сути является ремейком первоназванной игры.

События игры происходит в той же вселенной, что и Girls’ Frontline, популярной мобильной гача-игры с обилием огнестрела и милейших героинь, но спустя 30 лет.

Мендо, оперативник из MID (разведывательное управление Антарктического Союза), попал в засаду на пути к заданию на Северном Кавказе и потерял память. Его спасает седовласая девушка по имени Джефути, которая ведя отшельнический образ жизни пытается просто выживать. Игроки будут управлять Мендо и Джефути, сталкиваясь с суровой холодной местностью и противостоя солдатам УРНК, а также неизвестной силе, находящейся все время где-то поблизости. По пути занимаясь поиском союзников и раскрывая тайны огромного заговора.

Обновила ролики, время ожидания игры и ее накал продолжают расти. Геймплей назревает прям волнительный, стелс и экшен на тактическом поле выглядят непривычно.

Добавят возможность обратного прохождения для Джефути, с помощью которой она может вернуться на предыдущие уровни и найти подсказки для продвижения по ним. Игра также будет включать в себя блок-схему, отображающую различные уровни и проводящую игрока через разные сюжетные линии, чтобы открыть для Джефути единственный путь к выживанию.

Что-то мне кажется на северном Кавказе снега не так уж и много.

Уже подумалось можно будет заценить, а нет, с начала октября перенесли на 2022 год.

Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery is a completely rebuilt and improved version of the 2013-released Code Name: Bakery Girl, which shares the same universe as Girls’ Frontline, featuring new graphics, voice-overs, new stages, and new storylines. In it, players take on the role of female protagonist Jefuty, who is struggling to survive through war and has surprising encounters with various characters. It will be released as a “premium single-player game” when it launches. A release date was not announced.

Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery is a tactical turn-based role-playing game developed by MICAteam. I hope T-dolls show up again. I love their personalities and unique characteristics. It’d be a shame to have them all gone but that’s just me personally.

However, there is always the possibility of adding T-dolls in the remake, but might require a major overhaul. It depends on how much effort the dev team is prepared to devote.
