Сподобился на гайдик Этому предшествовало то, что самому нужно было затестить Win 8. Гайд будет достаточно объёмный, и включит в себя процесс от записи диска, до установки игры. Порой буду описаны вещи, элементарные на первый взгляд, но элементарны, я уверен, они не для всех.

Ну пожалуй начнём’c!

Для начала нам понадобится сама винда, я буду использовать ту же 8ёрку(можно использовать любую версию). [ Ссылки могут видеть только зарегистрированные пользователи. ]

Далее нам понадобится [ Ссылки могут видеть только зарегистрированные пользователи. ](мыло вводить можно любое, аля 123@fignya.org).

Ну и болванка, оная стоит копейки(или же другой носитель, но я использую оптический диск) DVD-R/RW объёмом >4,7гб.

Скачали винду, установили Nero(его установку детально описывать не буду), приступаем к прожигу диска, его я, пожалуй, распишу.

Открываем Nero, идём Рекордер>Записать образ, далее выбираем нашу винду:

Дальше нажимаем на » Прожиг «:

Собственно процесс пошел:

Приступаем к созданию(скринов будет много, на каждый шаг):

Даём название, и выбираем тип ОС:

Выделяем ОЗУ:

Выбираем Жёсткий Диск:

Тип диска:

Размер:
[ Ссылки могут видеть только зарегистрированные пользователи. ]
Если всё ок, жмякаем «Создать»:

Теперь «Create»:

Теперь нажимаем «Старт»:

И видим такое окно:

Вот как раз и завершился прожиг нашей болванки. Диск автоматически выдвинется из дисковода, но его нужно вернуть обратно( ).

Выбираем установочный носитель:

Итог:
[ Ссылки могут видеть только зарегистрированные пользователи. ]
У нас появляется такое окно:

Загрузка прошла, и появляется такое окно, тут выбираем язык, дату и время, раскладку клавиатуры:

Нажимаем «Установить»:
[ Ссылки могут видеть только зарегистрированные пользователи. ]
Принимаем условия:
[ Ссылки могут видеть только зарегистрированные пользователи. ]
Выбираем » Полную установку «.
Выбираем раздел для установки:
[ Ссылки могут видеть только зарегистрированные пользователи. ]
Пошла установка(установка идёт достаточно быстро, но опять же, всё зависит от вашего компьютера):
[ Ссылки могут видеть только зарегистрированные пользователи. ]

Пока идёт установка можно поиграть [ Ссылки могут видеть только зарегистрированные пользователи. ].

Ну вот и всё, винда готова к работе!

Как скачать КФ и установить её, я думаю, вы и сами догадаетесь.

ВТ на программы не выкладываю, т.к. они скачаны с офф сайтов, кто не верит, можете качать от туда.

Hey i’m trying to run this simple 2d game priv server using virtualbox with XP sp2 installed my host is win 7, everything works fine but when i run the game exe i get the message, Themida. Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine.

Anyway i can make this work?

Bypassing “This program cannot run under VMWare or Virtual PC”

We had a specific application that did not want to run on as a virtual machine ( VMWare guest).

“This program cannot run under VMWare or Virtual PC”
“Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine”

Solution?
Tell VMWare to prevent the guest from knowing its a virtual machine (VM).
Kudos to this post on superuser.com.

In this particular situation, all access to the guest was done over Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP); in other words, graphics performance was not critical.

NOTE: The modified VM will have poorer performance, especially with graphics, and VMware Tools will not work. This is an experimental configuration and not advised for long term use.

Power-on your VM. Remove VMWare tools.
The problematic application should launch and run without issue. Enjoy.

App Failed to Run Under Virtual Machine

While playing games, such as S4 league online, cabal ph, crossfire ph and mercenary, if such error as «Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine» pops up (Figure 1-1), please solve the problem according to the following solutions.

Solution 1:

Uninstall VMware NIC Driver

1) On the CCBoot server, enable «Super Client» for PC101.

2) Diskless boot PC101.

3) Run «CCBoot Client».

4) In «CCBoot Client» dialog box, click «NIC PnP» button (Figure 1-2).

5) In the popup «CCBootPnP» dialogue box, click «Install Known NIC» button (Figure 1-3).

6) In the «NIC Drivers» dialog box, uncheck «VMware PCI Ethernet Adapter» check box, and then click the «OK» button (Figure 1-4).

7) Click «Start» button, in «Run» edit box type «regedit», then press the «Enter» key.

8) Navigate to «HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services», expand it, right-click «vmxnet», select «Delete» (Figure 1-5).

9) Shutdown PC101, and disable super client on CCBoot server.

Note: In the «Registry Editor» dialog box, you should also search out all the «vmxnet» files, and then delete them.

Uninstall VMware Tools

Check if there is VMware Tools and virtual machine in Image package. If there is, please uninstall them.

Solution 2:

1) Enable super client for one of the client PCs (such as PC102).

2) Diskless boot PC102.

3) Open Registry Editor.

4) Navigate to «HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\<4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318>\0000, in the right side of the form, right click the «DriverDesc» key, and select «Modify. » (Figure 1-6).

5) In the pop up «Edit String» dialog box, delete the value in «Value data» edit box, and then click the «OK» button (Figure 1-7).

6) Shutdown PC102, and disable super client on CCBoot server.

If you are running on a physical windows machine. Turn off the Hyper V in BIOS settings.

Hello! I would like to make a review about this here. I am using a virtual machine, but the processor is natively used on my VM, and I use GPU Passthrought to pass natively my graphic card to this virtual machine. Why couldn’t I use my hardware to mine?

In my case, this error message that prevent me to use NbMiner is non-relevant.

Если дело в антивируснике, то добавь приложение в исключения на проверку. Может пожет.

Проблема описанная выше появляется при запуске игры, которая запускалась ранее нормально, т.е. она была установлена нормально, потому что она запускалась.

Переустановил игру с выгруженным антивирусом и фаерволом, также запсутил игру с полностью выгруженным антивирусом и фаерволом, результат 0.

Game software was installed and ran as expected on previous build and updates until the latest.

I do not have any virtualisation software active of any kind.

Hardware is Microsoft Surface Book (v1) with Performance base 1tb variant

I have disabled all Hyper-V items in services manager

I have tried all the usual things suggested in all the web searches such as computer name not having desktop- in it etc

The issue here is what has changed?

Is it memory/program execution space segregation being enforced where it was previously not?

what logs do I need to look at to find a clue?

I’m not sure the game software you said can be run on Windows 10 1803. Because there may be compatibility issues for some programs. You could check the game software official website if it has a new version. If you want to check the log for hyper-v, you could try to check the event log.

As I said the game has been functioning on Win10 Pro on a Microsoft Surface Book for over 18 months with no issues. The configuration of the system is fairly stable and there have been no software installations for some months. The only thing it gets is regular MS Updates.

The game launcher and updater seem to be working OK and functional to provide the latest game builds.

On game launch a popup window appears with the error.

Hello, some programs cannot be run under VMware, they somehow detect that the os is running in a virtual machine and display the error message «This Program Can Not be Run Under VMware».

Being unable to run a program under VMware makes it totally unuseful, is there a solution to this problem?

There are some things you can try, the rate of success depends on the guest OS and application

«This Program Can Not be Run Under VMware» appears to be a normal error-message that is displayed when the application XY detects an issue with the environment it runs in.

First time we noticed this problem was in 2004 or 2005.
At that time this issue could be treated like a bug or flaw in Workstation.
When a new vmx-parameter was found that could trick the AntiPiracy detection of app XY
the vendors would do their homework and in the next release the race would start again.
The next 10 years we «fixed» this problem with various vmx-file parameters

At the moment defending the use of aggressive AntiPiracy and Am-I-inside-a-VM checks is easy for Game-vendors.

I assume you dont have Piracy or Abuse of a Software XY in mind.
Then the best approach would be to contact your vendor and explain you need to use a VM.

Lineage 2 работает в Parallels Desktop вместе со всеми своими фростами и прочим.
Писал это изначально на фогейме, но последнее время у меня, как это модно сейчас говорить, бомбит от неадекватности модеров и прочей Инновы. Посмотрим насколько хватит тут

Итак:
Основная ОС: Apple OS X 10.10 Yosemite
Виртуализированная ОС: Microsoft Windows 8.1 x64 BootCamp (реальная ОС, расположенная на соседнем SSD)
Версия PD: 10.1.0 (28600)

Ошибка 1: Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine

Решение: Данная проблема легко решается изменением ключа реестра HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\Vid eoBiosVersion на любое значение, не содержащее упоминание о виртуальной видеокарты.

Ошибка 2: Please enable 3D Acceleration при запуске через сайт

Решение: Данная проблема связана с тем, что при запуске используется своя библиотека Direct X, у которой впрочем функционал никак не отличается от обычных. Однако с ней мы получаем ошибку при запуске. Пока проблему удается решить только ручным запуском.

1. Запускаем игру через сайт, получаем ошибку, игра закрывается. Но теперь у нас есть временный пароль.

2. Который можно найти в папке Frost (напр. C:\Games\LineageII Classic\Frost) Открываем в ней файл launcherUpdater.log

Ошибка 3: Игра прерывается спустя некоторый промежуток времени (2-5 минут)

Ошибка 4: Камера вращается слишком быстро

Ошибка 5: Слишком высокая яркость при свернутой игре

Скриншот запущенной игры, в диспетчере задач виден и Frost и Awesomium и сама игра.

Работает как обычная Lineage 2, так и Lineage 2 Classic. Все армяно-корейский поделки никак не затрагиваются, поэтому ничего не мешает фросту делать свое дело, поэтому банить не за что. Однако модеры форума фогейма посчитали нужным отмазаться ссылкой на системные требования к игре в ответ на этот небольшой гайдец.
Могу выложить прогу на сишарпе, которая автоматически решает первые 4 проблемы если нужно и можно 🙂

Проверь отсутсвие галочек в свойствах exe файла на совместимость с другими ОС.
И если Аваст стоит, то попробуй выключить/удалить. У них в последних обновлениях хрень какая то к такой ошибке приводит.

Больше всего это из-за Blustacks или Nox потому что они используют Виртуальная машина
Исправление зайди в панель управления-Программы и компоненты-там ищи Blustacks или Nox и нажимай правой кнопкой мыши и там будет написано удалить и все: надеюсь помог

Попробуйте выполнить данные действия:
Необходимо отключить компонент Hyper-V. Для этого:

На панели управления выберите элемент Программы, а затем — Программы и компоненты.
Выберите Включение или отключение компонентов Windows.
Снимите галочку с пункта Hyper‑V, нажмите кнопку ОК, а затем кнопку Закрыть.
Перезагрузите ваш компьютер.
если Вам необходим Hyper-V и Вы им пользуетесь. то решить проблему не получится.

I had same issue. I got same error on my desktop PC. If disabling IVT is the only solution, then I won’t play this game. I have no intention to disable my PCs virtualization for some stupid reason which are known only to devs.

Find a different way to prevent cheating.

AFAIK it’s not about preventing cheating, but rather about DRM; disabling virtualization makes it harder to analyze the DRM and, thus, crack it.

This is part of the reason I won’t purchase games that are currently protected with Denuvo, in their quest to prevent games from being cracked they have no respect for actual paying customers. Thus I don’t want to support their business model in any shape or way.

This is the first time that I found that disabling virtualization it’s a requirement to play a game, and its something that Im not going to do.

Есть софтина, для нее выделен отдельный сервер. Есть желание перенести ее на виртуалку хост на 2008, гостевая тоже, использую Hyper-v. При запуске получаю ошибку

«Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine»

Есть вариант как-то это побороть?

Можно ли как-то обмануть софтину?

Если бы я хотел кому-то это передать я бы просто образ Акронисом снял с теми же сидами.

Я смотрю тут как-то все непросто в этом Toolkit, может описанием каким поделитесь? Или Guide должно быть достаточно?

After installing Hyper-V in the windows, I get the following error for running a game in my windows. Of course I am not running it in the virtual machine. I want to run the game in the PC itself that I installed the Hyper-V.

Even I tried to stop the Hyper-V service inside the Hyper-V management but that doesn’t work for me and I get the same error. Please help me find a solution to this.

I found a good solution. making an entry in the boot loader, so that the hypervisor will not start by choosing that option while restarting the system. here is the steps to this:

1.At the command prompt, type the following:

2.The above command should say: The entry was successfully copied to . Copy that guid to the clipboard including the curly braces.

3.Now, type the following command:

In the above command, replace with what you copied in step 2. I found the solution here : Hyper-V and VMware Workstation on the same computer. It works for me and I hope it will works for people having the same problem.

So, fun fact, I don’t run Hyper-V on this box…

But, I do run Windows Defender Application Guard.

The fix is to disable Windows Defender Application Guard by unchecking the box in “Turn Windows Features on or Off”, and then rebooting when prompted.

Lineage 2 работает в Parallels Desktop вместе со всеми своими фростами и прочим.
Писал это изначально на фогейме, но последнее время у меня, как это модно сейчас говорить, бомбит от неадекватности модеров и прочей Инновы. Посмотрим насколько хватит тут

Итак:
Основная ОС: Apple OS X 10.10 Yosemite
Виртуализированная ОС: Microsoft Windows 8.1 x64 BootCamp (реальная ОС, расположенная на соседнем SSD)
Версия PD: 10.1.0 (28600)

Ошибка 1: Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine

Решение: Данная проблема легко решается изменением ключа реестра HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\Vid eoBiosVersion на любое значение, не содержащее упоминание о виртуальной видеокарты.

Ошибка 2: Please enable 3D Acceleration при запуске через сайт

Решение: Данная проблема связана с тем, что при запуске используется своя библиотека Direct X, у которой впрочем функционал никак не отличается от обычных. Однако с ней мы получаем ошибку при запуске. Пока проблему удается решить только ручным запуском.

1. Запускаем игру через сайт, получаем ошибку, игра закрывается. Но теперь у нас есть временный пароль.

2. Который можно найти в папке Frost (напр. C:\Games\LineageII Classic\Frost) Открываем в ней файл launcherUpdater.log

Ошибка 3: Игра прерывается спустя некоторый промежуток времени (2-5 минут)

Ошибка 4: Камера вращается слишком быстро

Ошибка 5: Слишком высокая яркость при свернутой игре

Скриншот запущенной игры, в диспетчере задач виден и Frost и Awesomium и сама игра.

Работает как обычная Lineage 2, так и Lineage 2 Classic. Все армяно-корейский поделки никак не затрагиваются, поэтому ничего не мешает фросту делать свое дело, поэтому банить не за что. Однако модеры форума фогейма посчитали нужным отмазаться ссылкой на системные требования к игре в ответ на этот небольшой гайдец.
Могу выложить прогу на сишарпе, которая автоматически решает первые 4 проблемы если нужно и можно 🙂

While playing games, such as S4 league online, cabal ph, crossfire ph and mercenary, if such error as «Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine» pops up (Figure 1-1), please solve the problem according to the following solutions.

Solution 1:

Uninstall VMware NIC Driver

1) On the CCBoot server, enable «Super Client» for PC101.

2) Diskless boot PC101.

3) Run «CCBoot Client».

4) In «CCBoot Client» dialog box, click «NIC PnP» button (Figure 1-2).

5) In the popup «CCBootPnP» dialogue box, click «Install Known NIC» button (Figure 1-3).

Uninstall VMware Tools

Check if there is VMware Tools and virtual machine in Image package. If there is, please uninstall them.

Solution 2:

1) Enable super client for one of the client PCs (such as PC102).

2) Diskless boot PC102.

3) Open Registry Editor.

4) Navigate to «HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ \0000, in the right side of the form, right click the «DriverDesc» key, and select «Modify. » (Figure 1-6).

5) In the pop up «Edit String» dialog box, delete the value in «Value data» edit box, and then click the «OK» button (Figure 1-7).

6) Shutdown PC102, and disable super client on CCBoot server.

I get this same error message but I’m not using GeforceNow. I’m trying to run this on my own physical PC, no VM involved. A thread on Steam forums suggests that disabling virtualization in UEFI might solve the issue but that’s an essential feature of my PC that I do use for other stuff. Frankly, it’s ridiculous that the game is not able to run because of this. I opened up a support ticket with all my config details and screenshot. I’m eagerly waiting for a response.

Starlink Cannot run under a Virtual Machine (Straight PC Windows 10)

I decided, after reading other posts, to make my own being this is straight Windows 10 Pro off the desktop from the Ubi Launcher. I’m NOT using nVidia gForce Now. I am not running in a virtual machine, though there IS one configured on my system for testing other programs (I DO test software for people and NEED this machine that resides on an entirely different hard drive). I have tested various settings, trying to get this game to work. I only JUST purchased it and have not gotten it to run ONCE yet. On launch the error «Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine.» instantly pops up and execution haults! I have even gone as far as going into Windows 10’s security settings and turned off the Core Isolation Memory Integrity settings which ‘should’ have stopped isolating any and all programs in a virtual state of memory on execution. didn’t help. Uninstalled Avast Antivirus with the thought ‘maybe it’s use of virtual isolation testing is triggering this error. ‘ nope. Gone so far as to uninstall and disabled ALL antivirus / malware protections to find it is none of these that are throwing this ‘error’.

From what I have been reading, the only conclusion is there is code that is detecting the virtual machine software is installed and or hardware is active even though the game is not running within the software, it is refusing to run because it detects the needed software and or hardware turned on.

How is someone supposed to play this game in this situation? Turning off the hardware and / or uninstalling the needed software every time is unacceptable!

Сподобился на гайдик Этому предшествовало то, что самому нужно было затестить Win 8. Гайд будет достаточно объёмный, и включит в себя процесс от записи диска, до установки игры. Порой буду описаны вещи, элементарные на первый взгляд, но элементарны, я уверен, они не для всех.

Ну пожалуй начнём’c!

Ну и болванка, оная стоит копейки(или же другой носитель, но я использую оптический диск) DVD-R/RW объёмом >4,7гб.

Скачали винду, установили Nero(его установку детально описывать не буду), приступаем к прожигу диска, его я, пожалуй, распишу.

Открываем Nero, идём Рекордер>Записать образ, далее выбираем нашу винду:

So, I paid to play this while it was in beta, and now I’ve downloaded it again to start playing with my gf, turns out this problem is stopping me to get into the game.

No. I’m not using a Virtual Machine, but I do use virtual machines/hyper-v (docker) for my work, so turning this off isn’t an option.

This doesn’t even makes sense since the game isn’t running a virtual machine. It’s just annoying.

Is there any way to solve this?

No unfortunately; I ran into this situation when they first instituted the VM check in early December. The team is aware of the situation and is looking for workarounds. If you enabled the Hyper-V hypervisor on your Windows install, you’ll run into this problem, even if you’re not playing on a guest VM. (Not a problem with other VM host solutions, just Hyper-V.) They are aware of the unreasonable overhead of uninstalling/reinstalling Hyper-V, but right now, that’s the only workaround.

You can try filing a support ticket on the actual ToS site to let them know that you are also affected. Otherwise, I believe that most people never enable Hyper-V in the first place, so it’s probably not a very high priority issue in the end.

I have a x32 bit computer. I installed a x32 bit Windows ISO Virtual Machine. The game works perfectly fine on my host computer but I can’t seem to get it to work on the virtual machine. Any suggestions I should try?

I’ve tried doing the vmx file edit fix, nothing worked. I have enough memory on my host computer. Everything else is working fine on the virtual machine but the game.

3.I’m looking at the dxdiag, I dont see any graphics card infomation unless I’m looking over it. the Driver Version is : DirectX 11

4. I’ve already deleted the ISO file, so the log is gone, if the error reoccurs I’ll repost it.

You see, I dont have a problem running this game on my HOST pc, its only on the virtual machine. I’ve tried to run it on my x64 bit windows 8.1 laptop with a 64 bit VM. At first, it had the same error «sorry this application cannot run under a virtual machine» but after I made a few adjustments to the vmx file and deleted a value in the regedit (the main fixes you see online) it worked fine. Ответ: Для обеспечения совместимости с планируемыми к выпуску новыми модулями пришлось изменить формат файлов экспорта.

Есть софтина, для нее выделен отдельный сервер. Есть желание перенести ее на виртуалку хост на 2008, гостевая тоже, использую Hyper-v. При запуске получаю ошибку

«Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine»

Есть вариант как-то это побороть?

вендор говорит by design и исправлять не собирается.
Можно ли как-то обмануть софтину?

Если бы я хотел кому-то это передать я бы просто образ Акронисом снял с теми же сидами.

Я смотрю тут как-то все непросто в этом Toolkit, может описанием каким поделитесь? Или Guide должно быть достаточно?

Changing my PC Name, trying to disable HyperV, which I dont have on my Home edition of W10, and now switching the game from my SSD to the normal memory.

Nothing of these worked.

the game was working on windows 10 for many months as a standard client install and also a steam install.

I updated to build 1803 and it stopped with the VM error.

I have this message from NewZ support who have been very helpful in suggestions and I thank them for their attention to this error.

Have you tried disabling Memory Write Protection on Windows Defender?
We have been investigating this issue for the past few days and we plan on reworking the VM Protection system we have in place, but this could be a fix in your case.

I have tried all the usual things suggested in all the web searches such as computer name not having desktop- in it etc

The issue here is what has changed?

Is it memory/program execution space segregation being enforced where it was previously not?

what logs do I need to look at to find a clue?

I’m not sure the game software you said can be run on Windows 10 1803. Because there may be compatibility issues for some programs. You could check the game software official website if it has a new version. If you want to check the log for hyper-v, you could try to check the event log.

As I said the game has been functioning on Win10 Pro on a Microsoft Surface Book for over 18 months with no issues. The configuration of the system is fairly stable and there have been no software installations for some months. The only thing it gets is regular MS Updates.

I’m not sure the game software you said can be run on Windows 10 1803. Because there may be compatibility issues for some programs. You could check the game software official website if it has a new version. If you want to check the log for hyper-v, you could try to check the event log.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

My Specs [ ]

(Someone requested this, so here)

VMWare Workstation 7.1.3-324285 using Windows XP Professional SP3(Upgraded to Workstation 8 with no issues/using same VM’s created in v7.1.3).

My VM Settings PER VM [ ]

You probably will need 2 gigs of ram and possibly 2 cores instead of what I have

VM settings PER VM [ ]

1 virtual core/1gig of ram, 15 gigs of HDD space.

This allows me to go into Ch 1 FM 1 with minor entrance lag, otherwise it’s fine.

Step One [ ]

VMWare Workstation Users (PC Users) [ ]

If you don’t remember where you installed the VM into, go to Edit->Preferences and look at the «Default location for virtual machines and teams» and it will show you the path to your VM. Then open it with a text editor such as notepad.

VMWare Fusion (Mac Users) [ ]

You can now add or edit lines lines as needed.

VMWare Player (Non Workstation/PC Users) [ ]

Look for «.VMware virtual machine configuration» instead of «.vmx».

You find this most likely in etc/vmware

Step Two [ ]

Add the following line to the bottom of the list.

Step Three [ ]

Power on the virtual machine and (INSIDE the Virtual Machine, not the host OS) go to Start, Run, Regedit and go to this directory:

Step Four [ ]

Once you have the folder «0000» highlighted, right click «DriverDesc» and click modify.

Once you have done that, erase the value data (On Windows XP SP3, mine was named VMWare SVGA II) and click ok.

On Windows 7, it should be VMWare SVGA 3D or something along those lines.

Errors you may have [ ]

This error is caused by not doing Step 2.

This error is caused by not doing the registry edit properly and/or not finding all of the proper values.

Notes [ ]

If you still get the Themida error and are using Windows 7 64 bit, Ctrl+F «DriverDesc» and find all the values for it and delete them (I did not need to do this/you may have to if you have multiple profiles).

If you STILL have problems, uninstall VMWare Tools INSIDE the VM by clicking Start and typing in «Add and Remove Programs,»(If you’re using XP, Start->Control Panel->Add and Remove Programs) clicking Durka VMWare Tools, then clicking uninstall, and Ok.

Restart the VM and try again.

If you get any Hackshield related error, make sure your installation of Maplestory is proper or reinstall it just to make sure. Durka

Known Bugs/Issues [ ]

VM’ed Maple does lag a lot more than if you were to run it on your host operating system.

There isn’t any way around it as far as I know as it is on Nexon’s end as it didn’t use to lag as bad as after they started scanning to see if Maple was being run in a VM.

You must bear with it if you’re going to use this fix.

Full screen alleviates some of the lag, and I believe Mac users don’t have that big of an issue when VM’ing Maple.

Speed-hack may pop up some times depending on how solid your processor is.

If you have issues with it, force a constant voltage and turn off CNQ or Speedstep in the BIOS.

One of them not run under VirtualBox even I installed auto data But that also doesn’t run Under VirtualBox

So, I paid to play this while it was in beta, and now I’ve downloaded it again to start playing with my gf, turns out this problem is stopping me to get into the game.

No. I’m not using a Virtual Machine, but I do use virtual machines/hyper-v (docker) for my work, so turning this off isn’t an option.

This doesn’t even makes sense since the game isn’t running a virtual machine. It’s just annoying.

Is there any way to solve this?

No unfortunately; I ran into this situation when they first instituted the VM check in early December. The team is aware of the situation and is looking for workarounds. If you enabled the Hyper-V hypervisor on your Windows install, you’ll run into this problem, even if you’re not playing on a guest VM. (Not a problem with other VM host solutions, just Hyper-V.) They are aware of the unreasonable overhead of uninstalling/reinstalling Hyper-V, but right now, that’s the only workaround.

You can try filing a support ticket on the actual ToS site to let them know that you are also affected. Otherwise, I believe that most people never enable Hyper-V in the first place, so it’s probably not a very high priority issue in the end.

Bypassing «This application cannot run on a Virtual Machine» error on Windows VMs

I’m a student and my college has setup Azure VMs for those of us that need powerful computers to work on over the summer/quarantine. I use several programs on a physical computer that I just can’t on my Virtual Machine due to the developer disallowing it. Would there be anyway to bypass this?

I suggest you to ask the question in the application’s support forum. They should have some solution by registry tweak or something like that.

Please mark as «Accept the answer» if the above steps helps you. Others with similar issues can also follow the solution as per your suggestion

I actually think that the OP should ask these who provided him the Virtual Machine, which seems like he is using for a different purpose from the one that he got it for.

«tweak» the protection which someone put, sounds to me like abusing of the reason he got it, and probably something which is also not legal or at least unethical.

If this is a University for example then for doing such «tweak» you can find yourself ban from the university for few years! The restrictions on student’s behavior is higher than the limitation of the government rules. Students can be ban on unethical behavior and not only as a result of illegal actions!

Please hear me well as someone who worked in university in the past!

From your message it sound pretty clear that you got the VM for specific use related to your learning. It was not given to you for playing games probably. Attempt to «tweak» the permission and bypass the reason which you got the VM for, might have a very harsh result on your future in the university.

It is clearly not your VM and if it does not fit your needs then you should contact the person in-charge who provided you the VM. It is not your place to «tweak» it!

Putting this aside, you question is totally not related to Microsoft forums if you are speaking about third party application. More information is needed in order to know what is the source of the issue and what is the architecture of the system, as well as the requirement of the App which you try to use.

In this point I agree with @ManuPhilip and if any technical change should be done with the approve of the university, and assuming that the person who in-charge on the machines do not know what to do but want to do it (which make no sense) then you should probably ask the question in forums of the third party app

Hello. I have been trying to run a programme called TaiG. I have done everything that I have found somewhere but still get the same error over and over again.

My HOST PC specs: i3 4005U 1.7GHz, 4GB RAM- Windows 7 64bit SP1

So far I have tried everything and nothing worked

which was followed by adding some more strings, to your VMX file. This didn’t work.

There was also one where they told me to modify VBOX to NOBOX but that didn’t work too.

And quite a lot, as I have spent more than 12 hours trying to get it to work.

Did this but it didn’t work.

I did this one, but i get this type of error: Value «TRUE» for variable «monitor_control.restrict_backdoor» is not a valid boolean value. using value «FALSE»

and I followed alot of videos as well.

TLDR : Can anyone please help? I really need to play these programmes on my virtual machine, but can’t due to the error «Cannot play this on a virtual machine

I have a x32 bit computer. I installed a x32 bit Windows ISO Virtual Machine. The game works perfectly fine on my host computer but I can’t seem to get it to work on the virtual machine. Any suggestions I should try?

I’ve tried doing the vmx file edit fix, nothing worked. I have enough memory on my host computer. Everything else is working fine on the virtual machine but the game.

3.I’m looking at the dxdiag, I dont see any graphics card infomation unless I’m looking over it. the Driver Version is : DirectX 11

4. I’ve already deleted the ISO file, so the log is gone, if the error reoccurs I’ll repost it.

You see, I dont have a problem running this game on my HOST pc, its only on the virtual machine. I’ve tried to run it on my x64 bit windows 8.1 laptop with a 64 bit VM. At first, it had the same error «sorry this application cannot run under a virtual machine» but after I made a few adjustments to the vmx file and deleted a value in the regedit (the main fixes you see online) it worked fine. I’ve tried those 2 fixes for my x32 bit computer, but it keeps popping up with the »sorry this application cannot run on a virtual machine»

As I said the game has been functioning on Win10 Pro on a Microsoft Surface Book for over 18 months with no issues. The configuration of the system is fairly stable and there have been no software installations for some months. The only thing it gets is regular MS Updates.

The game launcher and updater seem to be working OK and functional to provide the latest game builds.

On game launch a popup window appears with the error.

for some reason my account is not verified so I cant add an image.

I have tried all the usual things suggested in all the web searches such as computer name not having desktop- in it etc

The issue here is what has changed?

Is it memory/program execution space segregation being enforced where it was previously not?

what logs do I need to look at to find a clue?

I’m not sure the game software you said can be run on Windows 10 1803. Because there may be compatibility issues for some programs. You could check the game software official website if it has a new version. If you want to check the log for hyper-v, you could try to check the event log.

I’m not sure the game software you said can be run on Windows 10 1803. Because there may be compatibility issues for some programs. You could check the game software official website if it has a new version. If you want to check the log for hyper-v, you could try to check the event log.

the game is NEWZ:Infestation – however I have seen the same issue appearing in other game forum pages since the release of 1803.

Все в баню игру я не могу найти этот гребаный Hyper-V тупой видус – ну почему ОБТ шло

Подскажите что делать антивирус касперский 🙁

Было всё тоже самое, не помогало ничего насоветованного на просторах инета кроме такого:
-запускаешь игру, выдаёт ошибку
-перезагружаешься, запускаешь игру – работает как надо.

Такие траблы были на Родине, сейчас на Победе всё грузится без ошибок.

Проблема описанная выше появляется при запуске игры, которая запускалась ранее нормально, т.е. она была установлена нормально, потому что она запускалась.

Переустановил игру с выгруженным антивирусом и фаерволом, также запсутил игру с полностью выгруженным антивирусом и фаерволом, результат 0. Нашли спустя пол года закономерность. Те, кто обновляются с Windows 8 до Windows 8.1 имеют ложные срабатывания, при просмотре msinfo32 есть Hyper-V, который нельзя отключить, он как компонент отсутствует в системе, и управлять им можно только в Windows 8.1 Pro. В деталях не разбирался, информации как выпилить Hyper-V или его части под 8.1 не нашел. Почему-то VmProtect алертит только на таких юзеров, который обновлялись с 8 до 8.1. Те кто ставил с нуля 8.1 все нормально. В просторах интернета даже есть инфа, где один чувак говорит, что у него нет управления над Hyper-V после обновления с 8 до 8.1, но вот в msinfo32, он прекрасно видит его в компонентах. Юзали dism.exe /Online /Disable-Feature:Microsoft-Hyper-V Выдает, что такой компонент не найден. В msinfo32 включены следующие пункты: Hyper-V виртуализация включена во встроенном ПО, Hyper-V расширения для преобразования адресов второго уровня, Hyper-V предотвращение выполнения данных. Как эти штуки могут быть включены, если Hyper-V как такового нет в системе?
