Love Sausage, a Supe With a Python-Like Penis, Is Now Part of The Boys
Honestly, we were getting here sooner or later.
Spoiler warning: the following story contains mild, tangential spoilers for Season 2, Episode 6 of The Boys.
Yup. Look, we knew The Boys was getting here eventually. The show blows a million people’s heads up per episode, and last episode Stormfront told Homelander to «laser my tits.» Last season, Popclaw sat on her landlord’s face until his head exploded. A guy with a giant elongated python penis, really, is just a walk in the park.
But let’s get into what actually happened in the episode, shall we? The gang had infiltrated the Sage Grove Center, where they discovered that Compound V was being tested; they thought it was being used to create Supe Terrorists, but as Lamplighter told them it was actually being tested. The hope is to stablilize Compound V so that anyone who takes it becomes a perfect, clean Supe (as opposed to failed tests, people exploding, getting sick, etc).
On closed circuit television, we get glimpses of varying superpowers, but one stands out: a guy with sweatpants that are very, let’s say, filled out. «God damn. Brother’s got a love sausage,» Mother’s Milk says, inadvertently naming a character.
After the entire Sage Grove Center enters into disarray, the gang are all locked in a room—but that doesn’t do much to help. They hear something coming and get ready—Lamplighter’s got his lighter all revved up—but a skin-colored, snake-like, elastic thing bursts through the window, wrapping itself around Marvin’s neck.
He grabs at it, screaming to get it off of him. Frenchie grabs at it with both hands, pulling it with great force. Lamplighter is ready to shoot, but holds off because he doesn’t want. you know, to kill everyone with fire. Eventually the creature retreats, and the guys follow it back to its source: right up a large bearded man’s pants.
«That’s his fuckin’ dick» Marvin realizes. «It’s OK,» Frenchie tells him. «Don’t be so closed minded.»
It remains to be seen if Love Sausage will return again.
Is Love Sausage in The Boys comics?
You bet. While the show’s interaction between The Boys and Love Sausage was rather, uh, contentious, Love Sausage is actually a protagonist in Garth Ennis’ comic series. He’s a Russian who’s real name is Vasilii Vorishikin, who’s an ex-cop, ex-Supe, ex-army citizen who now owns a bar where he drinks a liquid made from automobile fluid; he tells people its vodka. He’s friendly with all of The Boys (particularly Hughie); that basically makes him the only «good» Supe outside of Starlight.
Will Love Sausage return?
Who knows. In his Season 2 Episode 6 appearance, Love Sausage is played by Andrew Jackson, who doesn’t have to do much outside of mutter on security footage in Russian, and lie face passed out on the ground. He didn’t die though, so the option of a return is out there. Then again, a one-off appearance for one of the more outlandish characters—and for The Boys, obviously, that’s saying a lot—wouldn’t seem out of the question either.
It would certainly be a fun tangent if Love Sausage returned as an ally to The Boys, mirroring the comic. Maybe another Supe on their side could help with whatever conflict we know is coming with Homelander and Stormfront? Let’s hope.

«Love Sausage came around reasonably late in the development of the script,» showrunner Eric Kripke told Entertainment Weekly.
«We had a couple of the drafts written, but then we sometimes reach a point, as we did in this one, where we said, ‘You know what? It’s just not crazy enough. We’re missing that moment that makes people say holy s**t.'»

Meanwhile Mother’s Milk actor Laz Alonso admitted he was reluctant to film the scenes at first.

«I let my curiosity get the best of me and when I see that [in the new script], I’m like, ‘Oh my God. Karl is definitely behind this.’

The furore comes amid reports Amazon Prime is developing a spin-off series for The Boys, just weeks after the second season premiered.
The new show will reportedly be set at a Vought International college exclusively for young adult superheroes where “physical, sexual, and moral boundaries” will be tested.
The Boys is available to stream on Amazon Prime, with new episodes dropping every Friday.

The Boys vs The Boys:
Amazon Prime Video.

The Boys season 2 introduces the wildest supe yet from the comics
The Boys (TV Series)
Warning: Spoilers from The Boys season 2, episode 6 are discussed in this article.
Born Vasilii Vorishikin, Love Sausage is a name directly lifted from the always-NSFW comics by writer Garth Ennis and artist Darick Robertson. He’s also one of those fan-favorite characters like Terror. A Russian communist ex-cop, he has the power of a superhuman. well, his name is Love Sausage. You can put two and two together.
In the context of the show, Love Sausage comes by way of actor Andrew Jackson, who’s had small roles on Criminal Minds, Reign, and Dark Matter. He’s one of many patients at the Sage Grove Center, which Stormfront (Aya Cash) and Lamplighter (X-Men star Shawn Ashmore making his debut) have been using to experiment with Compound V so that they can turn it into a drug for instant superpowers. When the surviving patients break out, thanks to some interference from Frenchie (Tomer Capon), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), Love Sausage gets the opportunity to show off his. skill.
«Love Sausage came around reasonably late in the development of the script,» Kripke tells EW. «We had a couple of the drafts written, but then we sometimes reach a point, as we did in this one, where we said, ‘You know what? It’s just not crazy enough. We’re missing that moment that makes people say holy sh—.'»
The solution arrived like a perverted aha moment. The character was already on the minds of the writers, given his popularity from the comics. «We just haven’t been able to get to [him] because literally he’s a giant Russian man with a huge dick — that’s his story — and that they are really tight in his super suit tights,» Kripke explains. «The name is ridiculous and it’s all so ridiculous. Every so often Garth Ennis crosses over into something so absurd that it just wouldn’t fit in the reality of the show.»
Then the writers decided they needed one of the Sage Grove patients «to do something insane.» And it clicked. «Love Sausage! Love Sausage could be one of the patients!» Kripke remembers. «And then his penis can be his power!»
In one of those moments that makes Kripke appreciate this crazy job that he has, he says they shot the Love Sausage scenes with a combination of practical effects and CG. In other words, yes, they made «an actual 10-foot animatronic dick puppet like a tentacle in an old ’50s movie» and then put in computer effects for the rest, Kripke confirms. «We’re in these long meetings where these craftsmen and experts are asking me about the amount of veins. ‘How many veins should it have?’ We spent 20 minutes on should it be circumcised. We arrived at, no, it should not be but I get paid to have these conversations.»
Mother’s Milk is the one who suffers an attack by Love Sausage when his CG manhood is wrapped around his neck. Alonso did not see this one coming.
«So, the whole penis around the neck thing,» he begins. «I read the first script. Usually when the scripts come out, I’ll just read the first version and then I’ll put it away because I like to be super, hyper focused on the episode we’re working on now. They usually give us the script for the next episode midway through the episode we’re working on. So, it can be a distraction if you focus on that. I read it just to know where my character is going and then I discard it.»
In the version he read, he was expecting MM to see Love Sausage over the security cameras and drop a remark laced with puns. «There is no penis around the neck!» Alonso emphasizes. «So, we always tease each other, and always on set playing the dozens and cracking jokes. And one day in the makeup trailer, Karl [Urban] is like, ‘You ready for that penis that’s going around your neck?’ And I’m like, ‘Ain’t no way in the world there is a penis being wrapped around my neck.'»
Jack Quaid and Capon backed up Urban, but Alonso thought it was a practical joke. «So, I finally get back to my trailer,» he continues. «I let my curiosity get the best of me and when I see that [in the new script], I’m like, ‘Oh my God. Karl is definitely behind this.’ I am almost positive to this day he just pitched that idea to Kripke and Kripke with his sick sense of humor was like, ‘It’s great! Let’s do it!'»
Kripke, for the record, says it wasn’t a prank. «But it was really funny,» he adds.
Предупреждение о спойлерах для Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys и комиксов.
В видео The Boys на Amazon Prime Video М. М.
The Boysи Love Sausage жестоко избили Stormfront до смерти.
Amazon Prime Video.
3 Loves Poisonous Vodka
Amazon Prime Video.
The Boys VFX Boss on Love Sausage, Exploding Heads, and More
At long last, the season finale for the second season of The Boys has been added to Amazon Prime, finishing off the show’s sophomore outing. Expanding on the world introduced in the first season of the show, Season Two was equally full of blood and guts as Homelander (Antony Starr) and The Boys continued their never-ending war on one another.
From that totally bonkers Love Sausage scene to a season full of exploding heads, the show was led on the visual effects front by Stephan Fleet. This past week, we had the chance to catch up with the visual effects expert and chat about the show’s bizarre tone and how he continually pushed the boundary.
Check out our full chat with Fleet below!
Full disclosure: major spoilers incoming for the second season of The Boys. Keep scrolling at your own risk!
Pushing Boundaries
ComicBook.com: Man, every time you think this show can’t push the boundaries any further, it does — and the visual effects are a massive part of that. You get the job, you get the gig, what knowledge did you have of The Boys and the content of what Amazon and Eric wanted to do with the series?
Stephan Fleet: So sometime when I was in college years ago, I did read all of Preacher, loved it. And then when The Boys first came out, I read it before I knew Eric [Kripke] and before I worked on the show. I’m a legit Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson fan and so I was working on a show called Timeless for Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan out here in Los Angeles when I got the tip-off from Eric’s people that he was potentially doing a Boys show and we get along really well.
Eric went to bat for me and got me an interview with Seth [Rogen] and Evan [Goldberg], at that time for the pilot. The three of them all had to make a decision to get a unanimous decision together, so I went to a coffee shop out here in LA and met with Seth and Evan. I was nervous as shit. I was pretending I wasn’t nervous, but I was nervous as shit. And they were really cool, really smart, guys.
The first thing they said to me, was like, «Look, man, we’re not making a joke out of this, we’re going to take this really seriously. We want all the visual effects, all the superhero powers to be really grounded and we want this thing to sort of go to this next level, like nothing anyone’s done with superheroes before.»
I ended up meeting with the director of the pilot, Dan Trachtenberg, shortly thereafter and we hit it off really well and then we dove in, and you see what came of it. At that time, I had no idea where it was going to go and how crazy it would be. But I only think I read the pilot when I signed on, but I’m very, very happy with the show.
What excited me the most to work on the show, more than the visual effects, was just how well it was written. It’s a satire and a political commentary on the world, and it just hit really close to home for me. I thought it was really well done. And then it even just got better when we started filming it and I got to see how great our cast was. The actors took dialogue, scripts that I already thought were great, and read that were amazing and elevated it and took it to this next level.
Love Sausage
You ask fans and critics alike and it’s getting even better along the way, right? The biggest — no pun intended, of course — visual effects asset this season, other than the exploding heads, of course, is Love Sausage, right?
Oh okay. I thought you were going to say the whale.
Oh, the whale. Yeah. The whale’s up there too.
Kind of the same thing really.
The press around this is is that it’s something that was super late to the script. When you find out someone like Love Sausage is being added in, how do you wrap your mind around that as the visual effects lead?
There’s so many puns dude. There are so many puns.
I know.
The stories are all true. It came in late to the script. Because I have to do a lot of technical visual effects stuff, I actually sometimes am privy to the technical visual effects stuff a little earlier so I was tipped off a little sooner because me and the makeup effects guys have to build the thing. These things take time, right? We had to dive in and then the stories are all true. We had conversations about circumcised or if he was uncircumcised, meetings with a lot of grown adults, if you want to call us that, sitting around the conference table with Eric on the phone or around or whatever and just talking about all that stuff.
Then you get to actually shooting it, and I’ve done similar creature work before the way I had to approach it was like a creature thing where the actor is going to be in heavy physical contact with the object. To make something like that come off as looking real, I knew from the get go that you have to create something for them to actually be in physical contact with whether you replace it or not later. That’s how it came about to create this sort of 10-foot long monster stick, if you will. That’s what they call them in the visual effects world, monster sticks, actually. That’s another pun just built right in there.
Then when we were able to film it, and we’d discussed the scene, we’d been to the location before with the director, we knew about this little window and we sort of loosely blocked it out and again, the director of that episode, Sarah Boyd, was just so great to work with and just such a nice pleasant person and just very collaborative and had a strong idea of what she wanted.
Of course, I’d known the cast for a while now at this point, and I think one of my duties on that set in addition to making sure it went smoothly was to actually not be a giggly dude on set making a lot of jokes because I didn’t want to lend. I was right there in front of, right by the camera and right by Laz and Tomer and I didn’t want to lend any discomfort to the scene. I wanted to make it a comfortable environment for them because they had to show up and perform and pretend they were being attacked by this preacher when we all know what it is in real life. And they did, they showed up man, and they kicked ass and they did it.
In visual effects, it was one of the hardest sequences to pull off. There’s a lot of that contact with it and I would say, I think all but like one shot was full CG in the end.
Collaborative Efforts
You mentioned the whale as well and with that and Love Sausage both, there’s certainly a close working relationship between you and the practical special effects people. Can you speak to that a little bit?
Yeah. So Dynamic Effects is the name of the company, but I call them the Kenny family. It’s Tony Kenny and his two sons Hudson and JR. The Kenny’s, they’re our special effects team and for those that don’t know, visual effects are what is made with computers, and special effects are real stuff in front of the camera. I mean, I think they were telling me they had like 150 buckets of blood or gallons of blood for the whale sequence or something like that. I mean those guys show up and one of the reasons the show looks so good, from that truck smashed in season one through the whale is that those guys really will show up with the blood and we’re so collaborative together.
I’m not bullshitting because a lot of times people say that and it’s not true. It’s 100% true. We worked so well together that it’s one of the reasons I think the show looks the way it does is that I’m able to, with a lot of sequences, have it be 75% practical and 25% visual effects or like 50/50. Not like 10% practical, 90% visual effects. What people I think outside of the industry may not realize is that so much of it comes down to time and the challenge for special effects in this day and age is it takes a lot of time on set. It was so easy on a show to say, we’re just going to do a visual effect and just push the hot potato down the line so they can make their day on set, but on this show, we don’t do that. We make sure to fight for them to have the time and do it that way.
With the whale, we had a lot of practical blood, and then as Eric has said on social media and stuff and in other interviews, they built this giant whale set that we didn’t have to do very much work to. We added a little bit of wetness to it here and there, but it was real. We had a real set and I’m telling you when you’re an actor or crew member or anybody and you go up and you see this real exploded whale set, it’s different, man. It connects with you in a different way than if I would have just put up a green tennis ball, so it was still the right way to go. It’s another reason why I love working on the show is we get to work with people and do things like that in that kind of way. It’s just so cool.
Exploding Heads
Early on in the season, with the CIA agent with the exploding head, that’s something that obviously becomes more prevalent as the season goes along, heading up to the courtroom or the hearing room or whatever you want to call it. How many of the heads exploding were scripted and how much control do you have something over a scene like that where it’s just absolute chaos?
I’m a planner, but I’m also a planner that’s done this long enough to know that you are planning for chaos in filmmaking and that’s kind of actually the beauty of filmmaking, that there’s always things that are going to go wrong. There are always mistakes and you have to, I think, embrace the mistakes and embrace the chaos and find ways to weave it towards what you want it to be, towards your desires.
The first head explosion in that first episode was heavily, heavily planned. Lots of plate shoots, because we had the time to do it. I also knew that the head explosions were coming down the pipe. Again, I was tipped off to it because it’s a heavy visual effects sequence, so I knew that I had to plan for it. I made it really smart for me business-wise because I was able to contract the company, in this case, a company called Rocket Science Visual Effects in Toronto. They’re kind of our blood people on the show. They do such a great job at the blood and I was able to say, look, let’s spend a lot of time doing this first head explosion and really get it right because we’re going to have to do like 20 or 30 of these things later, so that’s what we did.
We were able to sort of share notes and they were able to say you filmed this thing and it worked, but you don’t need to film this thing, whatever. So I was able to take that information into episode seven and I prevized the five hero shots in episode seven: the Congressman, Vogelbaum, Shockwave, and the two assistants. I prevized specific angles for those that I was able to share with the director and the DP. When I do previews I’m not trying to lock anybody into something, but I was able to give us a general guideline of where to go on the day so that we just stay at a time, so I was able to tell them we need a green screen, we need a blood cannon, blah, blah, blah, blah.
But time is always an issue and we have a lot of VG people, so that’s where the chaos came in and the shooting from the hip if you will. For the rest of them, I kind of devised a way to just kind of look at replays of footage and pluck out people that I thought would be good candidates for head explosions and write down notes and send them to post-production and to Eric.
Then once it was edited, I went through it with Eric and the editors, and my team and I was able to do a head explosion spot. And I was like that one would be pretty good and that one would be pretty good and that one would be pretty good. And that’s what we did, and it worked well. What you see in that scene for the first two shots is a combination of special effects, makeup effects, and visual effects. Probably 70% visual effects, 30% the others. But then every other explosion after that of a head is fully CGI with a few dudes off-camera with blood cannons, spraying a little bit of extra blood into our crowd. But then everything else is CG.
It worked. I knew that it was going to be a heavy frenetic scene with a lot of camera motion. At the beginning, it’s a very calm scene so you have to put a lot of time into a visual effect when it’s calm and the camera’s static because you’re going to be holding on something that has to be photo-real without a lot of movement. But then when it starts shaking and going crazy you can get away with a lot more. That’s why I knew the camera style of the scene would lend itself into that sort of technique.

The Boys: Love Sausage vs. Mother’s Milk Round 2 on the Table for Season 3
During The Boys’ New York Comic Con panel, showrunner Eric Kripke revealed fans have not seen the last of Love Sausage vs. Mother’s Milk.
Fans were just as surprised as Mother’s Milk when he was attacked by Love Sausage in Season 2, Episode 6 of The Boys. However, it looks like the surprises aren’t over yet.
At New York Comic Con’s The Boys panel, showrunner Eric Kripke revealed fans haven’t seen the last of Love Sausage and that Mother’s Milk may have another chance to redeem himself in Season 3.
«Everyone pay attention to Laz’s response and reaction as I say this,» prepped Kripke. «Last week, a writer pitched that this is not the last time that Mother’s Milk and Love Sausage interact.» As the entire cast burst into explosive laughter, Mother’s Milk actor Laz Alonso stated that he was ready for the comeback. «You know what? That’s good. I want to get him back,» he said.
Starlight actor Erin Moriarty also expressed her full support for the reunion. «That’s a cast-wide endorsement of that concept,» she said. Kripke responded by confirming they are definitely considering it and that there are conversations surrounding the potential upcoming scene.
Amazon Studios’ The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander and Aya Cash as Stormfront. New episodes of Season 2 release Fridays on Amazon Prime Video.

The Boys’ Love Sausage Scene Was Shot With Practical and CG Effects
The now infamous scene from The Boys of Mother’s Milk being strangled by Love Sausage was created using some practical effects.
Kripke confirmed that for the scene to look realistic enough, their design teams created a «10-foot animatronic dick puppet.» Computer-generated effects were added in as well to help with the appearance of its slithering movement. «We’re in these long meetings,» he said, revealing a large amount of time went into creating the fake penis. «Where these craftsmen and experts are asking me about the number of veins.»

The Boys’ Actor Thought Season 2’s Love Sausage Scene Was A Prank
Laz Alonso, who plays Mother’s Milk on The Boys, says he initially thought the Love Sausage scene in episode 6 was a prank dreamed up by Karl Urban.
Season 2, episode 6 «The Bloody Doors Off» takes things one step further by briefly introducing a character known in the comic books as the Love Sausage. The episode sees The Boys infiltrating a secret facility called Sage Grove, where they discover Lamplighter (Shawn Ashmore) is helping Stormfront experiment with Compound V on adults. Events turn nasty, though, when the inmates are released and start running amok. At this point, the episode’s most outrageous scene takes place when Mother’s Milk is attacked by Love Sausage’s giant superpowered penis, wrapping around his neck and attempting to choke him to death. It’s simultaneously shocking and hilarious, and it turns out that Alonso didn’t think it was actually going to be in the episode.
Speaking to EW, Alonso reveals that the infamous scene wasn’t in the first script he read. Explaining that he read the episode 6 script well before shooting and never picked it up again, he didn’t realize that the scene had been added, only finding out when Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher in the show, asked if he was ready for the scene. Alonso thought it was Urban playing a practical joke, but to his horror found out it wasn’t. You can read the full story below:
So, the whole penis around the neck thing. I read the first script. Usually when the scripts come out, I’ll just read the first version and then I’ll put it away because I like to be super, hyper focused on the episode we’re working on now. They usually give us the script for the next episode midway through the episode we’re working on. So, it can be a distraction if you focus on that. I read it just to know where my character is going and then I discard it. [In that version] there is no penis around the neck! So, we always tease each other, and always on set playing the dozens and cracking jokes. And one day in the makeup trailer, Karl is like, «You ready for that penis that’s going around your neck?» And I’m like, «Ain’t no way in the world there is a penis being wrapped around my neck.'» So, I finally get back to my trailer. I let my curiosity get the best of me and when I see that [in the new script], I’m like, «Oh my God. Karl is definitely behind this.» I am almost positive to this day he just pitched that idea to [showrunner Eric] Kripke and Kripke with his sick sense of humor was like, «It’s great! Let’s do it!»
Alonso’s story is as funny as the scene it’s about, and proves that sometimes The Boys is so shocking that even its stars can’t believe what’s going on. Showrunner Kripke adds that the scene definitely wasn’t a prank, and wasn’t suggested by Urban, saying it was always in the plan for episode 6, as they needed something in the sequence «that makes people say holy sh—.» Kripke also reveals that the massive appendage was created using a combination of CGI and a real animatronic, meaning Alonso had to suffer the indignity of a having a physical prosthetic penis slung around his neck.
Of course, given the tone of The Boys, that scene isn’t the only shocking one in episode 6, with Stormfront (Aya Cash) revealing that she was a Nazi during World War II. Episode 7 will explore her backstory further, while also taking her relationship with Homelander a step further. It remains to be seen what shocks await audiences in the upcoming episode, but there are sure to be one or two at least. However, unless the showrunners have another giant body part waiting in the wings, nothing is likely to be quite so ridiculous and shocking as the Love Sausage scene in this week’s episode of The Boys.

The Boys Turns a Classic Team Ally Into an Enemy
The latest episode of The Boys Season 2 introduces a classic ally from the comics. However, this time around, he’s an enemy.
WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for The Boys Season 2, Episode 6, «The Bloody Doors Off,» available now on Amazon Prime Video.
Generally, Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys, which adapts Ennis and Robertson’s comic of the same name, hasn’t remained particularly faithful to the source material, instead choosing to use creative license where necessary. Now, the latest episode of The Boys Season 2 has introduced Love Sausage, a key ally to the team in the comics. However, this time around, he’s a minor villain rather than a hero.
Introduced in Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s The Boys #11 in 2007, Vasily Vorishkin/Love Sausage was a former Soviet superhero who helped the team while on a mission in Russia. During their endeavors there, Love Sausage proved an integral ally by forming a close bond with Hughie Campbell and keeping The Boys alive when things went south. Later in the series, Love Sausage returned to help The Boys take down Stormfront. That’s not what happens in the TV series, though.
In «The Bloody Doors Off,» Hughie, Billy Butcher, Annie January/Starlight, Kimiko, Frenchie and Mother’s Milk head to a place called Sage Grove. While Billy, Hughie and Annie stand guard outside Sage Grove, Kimiko, Frenchie and Mother’s Milk go in to find out what they can. At first, Sage Grove seems to be some sort of mental health institution, but the episode later reveals it’s a front for a Vought experiment to create a version of Compound V that works on adults.
Inside, the trio encounters Lamplighter. Initially, they try and fight the Supe, but this doesn’t go well, and several of the unstable patients at Sage Grove are released. Among them is Love Sausage, whose incredibly large penis Mother’s Milk noticed and commented on earlier. This causes the four to work together to survive the situation. While the whole thing is initially tense, Lamplighter and Frenchie have a heart-to-heart conversation that helps them to forgive each other for the past. However, at the end of that talk, Love Sausage attacks.
While in the comics Love Sausage is a large Russian man with incredible endurance in strength, his defining trait in The Boys TV series seems to be that he has incredibly long, thick penis capable of shooting out like a tentacle. Love Sausage wraps his penis around the neck and head of Mother’s Milk, but Kimiko intervenes and either knocks out or kills (the episode is not clear on this detail) the test subject. Throughout the rest of the episode, Frenchie jokes about the now-free Mother’s Milk having been attacked by a giant penis.
Amazon Studios’ The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as the Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander, Aya Cash as Stormfront and Simon Pegg as Hughie’s dad. New episodes of Season 2 release Fridays on Amazon Prime Video.

Summary
You’re invited to the 70th Annual Herogasm! You must present this invitation in order to be admitted! Same rules as always: no cameras, no non-Supe guests unless they sign an NDA and they’re DTF, and no telling any news media! It’s BYOD, but food, alcohol and lube will be provided! And please remember to RSVP so we can get an accurate headcount for the caterer!
The Deep is seen in a YouTube video addressing the recent Supe-terrorist attack. He begins singing «Imagine» by John Lennon. The video cuts between various celebrities singing different parts of the lyrics.
Homelander is in the Crime Analytics room reviewing camera footage which shows Soldier Boy walking away after killing Crimson Countess. He snaps at Ashley after she suggests giving a press conference to reassure the public that everything is under control. Homelander says that announcing that the ex-face of Vought is now a Supervillain would bring him down alongside the company. He storms off with Noir after ordering Deep to «bury everything».
Homelander opens up to Noir about his stress about Soldier Boy’s recent actions. Receiving no reply, he pats Noir on the shoulder, praising him as his only friend, then leaves. Immediately after, the elevator door behind Noir opens and he rushes in. Once the door closes, to the horror of a woman present in the elevator, he takes out one of his knives and begins carving his left forearm to extract his tracking chip. He passes it to the terrified bystander before leaving the elevator.
Kimiko paces around her hospital room, debating what to message to Frenchie after their kiss. As she looks out the window, she gets ambushed by a Russian gangster.
M.M. is loading a clip on a table full of various guns, grenade and bullets while Starlight wonders where Soldier Boy will go next. M.M. mentions the TNT Twins, who live in Vermont. Annie asks if Butcher is also aware of their locations, to which he replies «no». She then states that Soldier Boy is bulletproof and MM declares that the bullets aren’t meant for him. Starlight empathizes with his hatred for Butcher and Hughie but convinces him not to lower himself to their level as they only have themselves as support. She then leaves after receiving a call from Ashley.
Ashley watches the trailer for A-Train’s upcoming movie «A-Train to Africa». As the trailer ends, A-train enters the room demanding Ashley give Blue Hawk a harsher punishment than 12 weeks of sensibility training. As he vents about wanting justice for his paralyzed brother Ashley snaps back at him for his hypocrisy of only caring about the Supe’s misconduct when he has to suffer the consequences while she had to overwork herself to cover his crimes time and time again. Defeated, A-train leaves the room.
The Deep and Cassandra find Homelander in a hallway to let him know about Noir’s disappearance. To try and stop his «panic attack» over Noir vanishing, Deep tells him about Soldier Boy’s potential next victims- the TNT twins and their location. Homelander sends The Deep to their place, ordering him to contact him if Soldier Boy shows up.
Homelander is alone in his private quarters, and in his mirror his reflection starts talking to him. He expresses his fears about being defeated by Soldier Boy and asks himself if taking over the company was the right call. His mirror-self reassures him that «he» will get them out of trouble just like «he» always did when they were young. Homelander confesses to the real reason for rebelling against Edgar: wanting to be loved and admired. «He» also blames Homelander’s failed «relationships» and his need for affection on his human side that the reflection sees as a cancer that must be removed in order for Homelander to be free and pure.
Hughie tries to convince Soldier Boy to sleep but he refuses, stating that he has slept enough. He instead proceeds to rant about the state of the modern man and the betrayal at the hands of the country and the team that he fought so hard to protect. As they discuss what happened in Midtown, Butcher returns with his knuckles covered in blood and the address of the Twins.
The Deep is welcomed in the home of the Twins by the male brother, who expresses his sympathy for what Starlight did to him. Noticing the loud music coming from inside the house, Deep asks to be let in, thus gaining access the 70th edition of Herogasm, hosted by the Twins.
Homelander is sitting nervously in a studio as the makeup artist finishes preparing the interviewer, Starlight joins them and he grabs her hand, looking for comfort. Neuman also joins the interview, much to Annie’s surprise. As the interviewer asks questions about the 19 dead in Midtown, Homelander cuts her off, accusing her of lying and fearmongering. He storms off. Victoria asks Annie for a quick chat.
Victoria asks Annie about Hughie’s whereabouts. Annie said that he’s camping with his dad, but Victoria knows she is lying. She reveals that she knows that he and Starlight know about her power. She tries to team up with Annie, offering to share her influence in exchange for Annie’s. Annie refuses her offer, proclaiming that she is done playing dirty.
Frenchie is brought to an abandoned warehouse and bound up to a pillar, while Kimiko and Cherie sit in front of him tied to chairs, Little Nina enter the room and after explaining a bit of his past whilst showing his scars and how he got them, orders him to choose who to kill between the two girls, threatening to shoot them both if he refuses. Kimiko manages to free herself of her cuffs and slits the throat of her executioner. As she falls down, with his body on top of her, a second gangster empties his magazine on his comrade’s corpse as Frenchie pleads with Nina. Still alive, Kimiko bites his ankle forcing him to drop his gun, so he starts choking her. She manages to break free by breaking one of his hands. As Nina reaches for a gun, Cherie also manages to free herself and tackles Nina to the ground. Meanwhile, Kimiko is thrown around by the gangster, who finally manages to pin her down, choking her with one hand and punching the wound on her stomach open with the other. She manages to find a screwdriver, which she impales in his thigh. As he falls down screaming, she begins shanking him repeatedly well after his death, stopping only when Frenchie tells her that Nina has escaped.
Starlight and M.M. go to the T&T Twins’ house. On the way, Annie notices that M.M. has a tick. Reluctantly, he tells her that he was indirectly responsible for his grandfather’s death. One night, while he was young, he noticed Soldier Boy stopping some kids and went to wake up his grandad to come see the Supe. As his grandfather stood up, Soldier Boy threw a car directly at his house squashing M.M.’s grandfather. From then on, he developed the habit of checking the burners three times every night, lest Soldier Boy return to kill the rest of his family.
Meanwhile Butcher, Hughie and Soldier Boy scout the house from the outside. While doing so, Hughie asks for three minutes to find the Twins and make sure that there won’t be bystanders caught in the crossfire. Hughie teleports into the middle of the party while Starlight tries to convince Blue Hawk that Soldier Boy is coming. She notices The Deep moaning behind a door, as she enters and comes in full view of him having intercourse with an octopus. She proceeds to take photos of him and threatens him to send them to Homelander if he doesn’t tell her why he’s here.
Meanwhile the twins are fighting in a corner. Their fight attracts the attention of Hughie who bumps into A-train. They recognize each other and Hughie demands an apology for what A-train did to Robin. A-train apologizes but Hughie punches him anyway. A-train recoils, astonished by Hughie’s newfound strength. Starlight cuts in, warning them both that Homelander is coming. Hughie notices that Soldier Boy has entered the party and teleports himself and Annie away from the house. They start arguing.
Back in the house M.M. comes face to face with his Soldier Boy and tries to knock him out with a Halothane gas grenade, however the Supe has built a resistance to the anesthetic and casually tosses the grenade away after inhaling the fumes. As M.M. prepares for a fistfight, Butcher comes in and directs Soldier Boy towards the Twins. MM and Butcher fight.
Soldier Boy finds the Twins, who are still arguing, promising to spare their lives if they tell him who was the mastermind behind his betrayal. They both confess that it was Noir, but he doesn’t believe them as he is too faithful towards Vought to do such a thing. As the Twins beg for their lives, a familiar Russian song begins playing and soon after Soldier Boy incinerates the Twins. The blast shoots through the house, causing injuries and deaths.
Noticing the explosion, Annie tries to go back to the house. Hughie tries to stop her, but she knocks him down. Meanwhile, in the middle of the carnage, A-train finally confronts Blue Hawk, scared by the explosions, and while extremely angered he knocks him to the floor before dragging away at super speed. Blue Hawk’s body scrapes against the road so hard that his skull and rib cage become visible. A-train finally stops after yet another heart attack, passing out in the middle of the road.
16. Stormfront
15. Development Of Ryan
14. True Identity Of Black Noir
13. The Love Sausage
12. Victoria Neuman
11. New Superheroes
10. TransOcenaic Flight 37
9. Compound V and The Boys
8. Madelyn Stillwell
7. A-Train and Popclaw
6. The Deep
5. The Homelander
4. The Female’s Origins
3. Starlight
2. Wee Hughie Campbell
1. Becca Butcher

The Supes are a race of powerful superhumans who have been medically diagnosed as «super-abled» by mainstream science.
Contents
Background
Contrary to popular belief, most Supers are not born with their abilities, but are instead the results of children whom, with the permission of their parents, were heavily medicated with Compound V; an alchemical super serum known to produce permanent superpowers in human subjects.
These children are the legal property of Vought International and are often marketed by the company to perform public services such as rescue missions in order to win popularity, love and admiration from the general public as a means for the company to capitalize upon. Due to the fact that, until recently, Compound V was contained within the borders of the United States, it was widely believed that America was «the chosen land of God» since every Supe for the last 70+ years were red-blooded Americans. It was also believed that Supes, much like the prophets and messiahs of ancient times, were chosen by God to inherit their abilities and were subsequently revered by many different temples and churches.
To perpetuate these lies, the parents of these children were often compensated with financial hush money and forced to sign a series of non-disclosure agreements. However, since the discovery of «super terrorists» from other regions of the world, the belief that America was divinely favored has been irrevocably debunked. Soon thereafter, with the public revelation of Compound V, the belief that all superheroes were the result of divine selection has also been debunked.
Creation
An infant Supe after being injected with Compound V
For reasons unknown, the modern Compound V formula showcases its best results in children, with adult subjects being at a much higher risk for disaster. However, according to Stan Edgar, Fredrick Vought, the creator of Compound V and founder of Vought International, initially tested his original formula on adult subjects, with Stormfront being his first successful patient.
Furthermore, the children that were selected to receive the serum were always chosen by amoral doctors with contracts to Vought. These individuals were seemingly chosen at random, however, it was revealed that 92% of the babies selected were Caucasian, whereas only 6% were African American and the last 2% were divided between Asians and Latinos, indicating a strong racial bias from the company. Ryan Butcher is the only known child to have inherited his superpowers from his father and is believed to be the first natural-born Supe in all of human history.
It was also revealed that while some children develop their superpowers immediately after their injections, other children might not manifest their abilities until later in life. According to Starlight, her powers were present from the time she was a toddler, whereas the Deep claimed that his abilities and biological transformation did not occur until he was around nine years old. Furthermore, whilst the specific abilities that the subject will develop are often random and completely unpredictable, almost all Supes seem to exhibit varying degrees of superhuman strength, speed, and durability. Some of the very few exceptions to this are Mesmer and the TNT Twins.
Note: According to showrunner Eric Kripke, the amount of Compound V that is prescribed to the patient will determine the strength of their superpowers. While some Supes, such as Queen Maeve and Homelander, were given high doses of Compound V and are immensely powerful as a result, other Supes, such as Mesmer and Eagle the Archer, were given low doses of Compound V and are significantly weaker than their fellow colleagues. Eric Kripke claims that because Compound V is so expensive to produce, different subjects are prescribed with different doses.
Biology
Powers
Whilst any individual who is injected with Compound V and survives the mutation process is guaranteed to develop superpowers, these powers are often random and completely unpredictable.
Additionally, based on the dialogue between Hughie Campbell and Annie January, where Hughie explained how he intuitively knew what his abilities were and also that if he clenched his buttcheeks together and jumped that he would be able to teleport, this seemingly indicates that all Supes have an inherent understanding of what their superpowers are and more importantly what specific gestures and/or physical requirements might be necessary in order to activate them. However, based on the genuine surprise that Hughie expressed when he realized that he could not teleport his clothing with him, this also indicates that Supes are more or less ignorant of what their limitations and restraints might entail.
Furthermore, as seen with A-Train and Popclaw, the recreational use of certain drugs, such as Compound V, can temporarily enhance their abilities. However, the abusive use of such drugs can ultimately have an adverse effect on the Supe that will ironically weaken their superpowers.
Aging
Whilst some Supes such as Stormfront and Soldier Boy age significantly slower than their human counterparts, the average Supe ages almost identically as the average person.
Reproduction
Similar to their human counterparts, Supes are entirely capable of sexual reproduction. However, the children that are born from Supes will not necessarily inherit any super-abilities from their parent(s). Ryan Butcher is believed to be the first child to have manifested superpowers as a biological endowment from his father. Ryan is not, however, the first child to have been born from a superhero parent. Translucent was said to have fathered a son named Maverick, whom has currently shown no signs of superhuman potential. Similarly, Victoria Neuman also had a daughter named Zoe who did not inherit her abilities and was forced to inject her daughter with Compound V in order to develop superpowers of her own.

Предупреждение о спойлерах Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys, включая 3 сезон и комиксы.
7 Friends With Love Sausage
Homelander

The Boys recently introduced us to one of the weirdest elements to the show so far – Love Sausage – and it looks like we’re going to be seeing even more of him. Ahem.
The last time we saw Love Sausage (Criminal Minds‘ Andrew Jackson), he proved his penis-lengthening talent, by trying to strangle Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso) with said appendage, before getting knocked out by Kimiko.
It looked like we may well have seen the last of him after that, but it seems showrunner Eric Kripke has listened to the fans’ requests and may bring him, and his giant penis back.
During The Boys cast interview at New York Comic-Con this week, Kripke revealed there has been a «conversation» about the possibility he could return.
«Everyone pay attention to Laz’s response and reaction as I say this, which is last week a writer pitched that this is not the last time Mother’s Milk and Love Sausage interact. We’re talking about it, there’s conversation.»
Immediately everyone began cheering and laughing and Alonso, after the initial shock, said,»good, I want to get him back», so we’ll see what round two looks like when the show returns for the next season.
Kripke recently broke down Love Sausage’s NSFW scene and how he kept trying to make it more crazy.
«Love Sausage came around reasonably late in the development of the script,» Kripke previously explained to Entertainment Weekly. «We had a couple of the drafts written, but then we sometimes reach a point, as we did in this one, where we said, ‘You know what? It’s just not crazy enough. We’re missing that moment that makes people say holy shit.'»
«He’s a giant Russian man with a huge dick – that’s his story. The name is ridiculous and it’s all so ridiculous,» he continued, before admitting that the crew would have «long meetings» prior to shooting the episode that were dedicate to deciding how many veins would appear on the character’s super-sized appendage.
«We spent 20 minutes on should it be circumcised. We arrived at, no, it should not be but I get paid to have these conversations.»

11 The Almighty Almond Joy
9 Exposed Compound В
Vought International.
8 Starlight и A-Train
7 Roadtrip Karaoke
… «Storm Front»!
Vought International
Homelander
4 Starlight vs Solider Boy
1 Nom Nom Nom!
The Boys Star Laz Alonso Opens Up About THAT «Love Sausage» Scene
The latest episode of The Boys introduced a beloved member from the comics mythos, one with a superpower most certainly not safe for work. The character arrives in a scene that’s sure to go down in history as one of the most bizarre bits to ever drop in a television show — and it all involves Laz Alonso’s Mother’s Milk.
Full disclosure: major (and NSFW) spoilers up ahead! Proceed with caution if you have yet to see «The Bloody Doors Off,» the latest episode of The Boys Season Two.
The scene in question introduces Love Sausage to the Vought Cinematic Universe, a character who has the ability to — ahem — grow his genitals to any length he so desires. In the Amazon series, Love Sausage is a character that resides in a facility where its inhabitants are forced to undergo tests with Compound V in an effort to grow the powered population. We see Love Sausage’s powers in full display after «it» slides through a door at the compound and begins choking Mother’s Milk.
«So, the whole penis around the neck thing,» Alonso told EW of his process in prepping for the show. I read it just to know where my character is going and then I discard it.»
Alonso adds that the moment wasn’t initially in the script and as word of the moment began to float around set, the actor thought it was nothing more than a practical joke from his castmates. «There is no penis around the neck!» Alonso added.
The star concluded by dropping a massive conspiracy bombshell — it was Urban’s choice to make him go through with the scene.

Предупреждение о спойлерах для Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys и комиксов.
10 Soldier Boy The Всеy
The Deep.
Homelander
6 Founded By Solider Boy
3 Love Sausage’ s
Amazon Prime Video.
The Boys boss and star break down NSFW «Love Sausage» scene
«How many veins should it have?»
The Boys spoilers to follow.
Last week, The Boys introduced one of the comic’s most memorably weird supes: Love Sausage. Now, showrunner Eric Kripke and actor Laz Alonso have broken down the character’s unforgettable – and completely NSFW – first scene.
During the show’s most recent episode, entitled ‘The Bloody Doors Off’, the titular vigilantes travel to the Sage Grove Center, a sinister-seeming facility that is being used by Stormfront (Aya Cash) and The Seven retiree Lamplighter (Shawn Ashmore) to create new superhumans using Compound V.
Shortly after Mother’s Milk (Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) break into the establishment though, all hell breaks loose and several of the patients run amok as they show off their unique new skills. In the ruckus, Vasilii Vorishikin aka Love Sausage (Criminal Minds‘ Andrew Jackson) demonstrates his appendage-lengthening abilities by trying to strangle MM. well. with it.
«Love Sausage came around reasonably late in the development of the script,» Kripke explained to Entertainment Weekly. «We had a couple of the drafts written, but then we sometimes reach a point, as we did in this one, where we said, ‘You know what? It’s just not crazy enough. We’re missing that moment that makes people say holy sh–.'»
LOVE SAUSAGE! Came very late in the development of the ep. We needed one more crazy moment. As he’s a fan favorite from the comics, we figured it was time for him and his penis to shine. He doesn’t have penis powers in the books, btw, that’s our weirdness. pic.twitter.com/av5Vk3g7Kb
Elsewhere in the interview, Alonso revealed that it was probably down to his co-star Karl Urban that MM became the target of Love Sausage’s wrath, due to the fact that such a sequence didn’t appear in the episode’s initial script.
«One day in the makeup trailer, Karl is like, ‘You ready for that penis that’s going around your neck?’ And I’m like, ‘Ain’t no way in the world there is a penis being wrapped around my neck,'» he recalled. «I let my curiosity get the best of me and when I see that [in the new script], I’m like, ‘Oh my God. Karl is definitely behind this.’
«I am almost positive to this day he just pitched that idea to Kripke and Kripke with his sick sense of humor was like, ‘It’s great! Let’s do it!'»

The Boys season 2: Love Sausage stars in episode 6 cameo and fans can’t get enough!
The Boys has slowly been introducing fans to more characters from the comics in season 2 and has now welcomed Love Sausage to the delight of fans.
The Boys turned the superhero genre totally on its head when it arrived on Amazon Prime Video in 2019.
Now, the series has become one of Amazon’s staple series and its return for season 2 has been met with huge acclaim.
However, one area of contention from longtime fans is that the series often strays from the original comics.
In episode 6 of season 2, though, fans of The Boys comics were left both pleased and disgusted at the return of a fan-favourite character, Love Sausage.
The Boys Season 2 – Official Trailer | Amazon Prime Video
The Boys season 2 on Amazon Prime Video
Season 2 of The Boys began streaming on Amazon Prime Video on September 4th.
The new instalment continues the story of Billy Butcher and the Boys as their conflict with the Seven and Vought International cranks up a few more notches.
Season 1 ended on the dramatic revelation that Billy’s wife, Becca, who he thought had died at the hands of Homelander, the leader of the Seven, was actually alive and well and has been secretly raising her and Homelander’s son.
In episode 6, The Boys work to infiltrate the secretive Sage Grove Center, a mysterious facility where Vought has been engineering a host of supe terrorists and one of the facility’s inhabitants has certainly made a notable impression.
Love Sausage in The Boys
That particular inhabitant is the supe known as Love Sausage, played by Andrew Jackson.
In The Boys comics, Love Sausage, whose name is Vas, is a Russian supe who is loosely allied with The Boys team and possesses super strength and durability as well as one of the most bizarre powers of them all.
You certainly can’t say that Love Sausage isn’t well equippied.
That bizarre power is shown off in disturbing fashion in episode 6 of The Boys season 2 as he’s shown to have full control of the movement of his above-average sized penis and can move it as if it was a tentacle.
After first spotting Love Sausage in the security cameras, Mother’s Milk goes head to head with Love Sausage as The Boys look to make their escape from the Vought facility.
Luckily, Love Sausage is taken out by Kimiko and the team can make their escape.
It’s not clear if the Female killed Love Sausage or just left him unconscious – so there could well be a return of Love Sausage later down the line.
Love Sausage fans react to episode 6 cameo
It’s safe to say that Love Sausage’s eye-widening cameo The Bloody Doors Off has made a sizable impression with fans who have taken to social media to offer up their thoughts.
One fan on Twitter wrote: “They really put Love Sausage on #TheBoys. Really didn’t think he would make it to the show haha”
While another fan, who wants to see more of Love Sausage, added: “Love sausage’s power in the show being he can… do that… made me lmao. Hope he gets a role in the show the way he did in the comics though.”
And finally, this fan summed up Love Sausage’s appearance in gif form:
I really…REALLY thought it was a tentacle until I realized it was Love Sausage’s love sausage. #theboys pic.twitter.com/Zf9U0C1VaY
The Boys season 2 is available to stream now on Amazon Prime Video with new episodes releasing each week on Fridays.

Inititally intended to be an Easter Egg, the appearance was so popular that now show boss Eric Kripke has teased an epic return for the character in season 3.
«Everyone pay attention to Laz’s response and reaction as I say this, which is last week a writer pitched that this is not the last time Mother’s Milk and Love Sausage interact,» he said at New York comic con.

Lamplighter is a minor character in the Amazon series The Boys, serving as a supporting character in Season 2. He was a supe with pyrokinetic abilities and Starlight’s predecessor in The Seven. After his «retirement», Lamplighter became an orderly at Sage Grove Center, a psychiatric hospital where Vought would experiment on patients in an attempt to stabilize Compound V. Despite still keeping a position in working for Vought, Lamplighter is very disappointed with his demotion from Seven member, to «clean-up».

The Boys Series
Background
Lamplighter was 4 years old when his powers activated, in which he accidentally burned his own house down. Despite this, his dad was immensely proud of him and said he was destined for greatness by being a Supe. At some point, he became one of the original members in The Seven and eventually struck a friendship with The Deep. However sometime before the start of Season 1, Lamplighter was «demoted» from his position due to unspecified reasons (possibly the very same one The Boys used to blackmail him 5 years ago). While still maintaining connections with Vought he is now simply tasked to «clean up» disobeying patients at the Sage Grove Center, with his member status being taken by Starlight. From now on in his own admission, his father was wrong about him, he’s just a guy watching from the sidelines while the real «heroes» do the work.
Season 1
He does not appear in any of the episodes in Season One; however, he is frequently mentioned by other members of The Seven. There is also a mural of him painted on the ceiling of The Seven’s headquarters at Seven Tower. S1 E4, The Female of the Species, Mother’s Milk mentions that Frenchie was supposed to tail Lamplighter, and because he didn’t, Mallory’s grandkids were killed. In You Found Me, Grace Mallory mentions that Lamplighter killed her grandchildren, forcing her to leave the CIA.
Season 2
Lamplighter makes his first real appearance in Season 2’s We Gotta Go Now, where he is seen at the Sage Grove Center where he is working as an orderly, aka a cover up guy for experiments gone wrong. He is talking on the phone with Stormfront discussing about a super-powered boy. He is unsure about the boy, saying the boy is only 17, but Stormfront convinces him the boy is ready.
After The Boys break into the center in The Bloody Doors Off, they are shocked to see Lamplighter there. In a series of flashbacks it was revealed that Lamplighter, while still a member of the Seven at the time, was blackmailed into being a spy for The Boys. In retaliation Lamplighter attempted to kill the leader of The Boys, Grace Mallory, but unintentionally killed her grandchildren instead.
While working at the Sage Grove Center, Lamplighter makes eye contact with Frenchie and recognizes him, because they had met years before after Mallory blackmailed him into working for The Boys. Lamplighter attempts to incinerate Frenchie but misses and eventually they have a stand off. However, Lamplighter’s stray fire-jet burned down a door to a detainee’s cell, allowing one of the patients, Cindy, to escape and release all the others, so Lamplighter ends up partnering with M.M, Frenchie, and Kimiko to get out.
After Frenchie calls him an animal for killing Mallory’s grandchildren, the latter reveals that it was unintentional; as the children were hidden under her bed, he mistook them for their grandmother, and by the time he realized he was burning the wrong targets, it was too late to save them. Frenchie also reveals that the reason he stopped trailing Lamplighter and therefore unable to save Mallory’s grandchildren, was due to going to save his friend from a drug overdose.
While Frenchie is making a bomb to knock out the patients, Lamplighter later tells the Boys that the patients at the center weren’t attempts to create more Super terrorists, but to in fact stabilize Compound V so that adults could take it without any repercussions, though he doesn’t know why despite all the marketing problems it would cause, Vought is so interested in creating possibly hundreds of Supers at once.
After the bomb fails to knock Cindy out, Stormfront arrives and shocks her unconscious, Lamplighter saves the Boys by luring her away and blaming another doctor for unleashing the patients, ensuring that Stormfront was unaware that the Boys had been at the facility at all. Lamplighter later goes voluntarily with Frenchie, M.M, and Kimiko to see Grace Mallory. When she arrives and points her gun at him, Lamplighter reveals his remorse for what he did to her grandchildren and offers her the chance to kill him to give herself closure. Frenchie though thinks he sees good in Lamplighter and convinces Grace to spare him.
Lamplighter takes a stand
Lamplighter reappears in Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker, Grace wants him to speak at the hearings and confess what Vought has done, but at the meantime he must wait for them to return with «supporting evidence». Hughie is forced to stay with Lamplighter due to his injury. The two watch pornographic superhero films, while they sit back and wait for the other members of The Boys to return. Hughie is disgusted with Lamplighter’s choices, but Lamplighter states his indifference because he’s going to die if he goes to that hearing. Lamplighter and Hughie both open up to each other about how worthless they both feel. With Lamplighter repeatedly stating he’s a failure in his dad’s eyes and his life is forever ruined.
As they continue, Hughie grows uncomfortable with the most recent film and changes the channel. On the news, they see Homelander addressing Starlight as a traitor, to Hughie’s horror. As a former member of the Seven who is familiar with the layout of Vought Tower, Lamplighter guesses she’s probably being held on 42D if she hasn’t been killed yet. Hughie suggest they go rescue her, but Lamplighter says it’s pointless and she’s already dead. A persistent Hughie then tries to guilt Lamplighter into stopping Vought from ruining another life, however, Lamplighter still refuses, stating his life is already over. Hughie then tries to convince him by referencing the film, telling Lamplighter to stop watching from the side and do something. It seemingly works, as Lamplighter stands up and agrees to go with Hughie.
Suicide in Vought Tower
The two arrive at a «back door» to the Seven tower where Lamplighter and Mr.Marathon used to sneak college girls in and make it inside. From there, a moment of truth arrives in the form of a security lock. To their fortune, Lamplighter is still in the system and can override the security with his handprint.
As they continue deeper, Lamplighter tells Hughie they’re getting closer and opens a door onto another floor. Hughie then realizes they’re at the Seven conference room and not at the holding cells. Hughie then sees Lamplighter staring at The Seven mural, remarking that they got rid of his statue and he wanted to do «it» in front of his statue. A confused Hughie looks on as Lamplighter says he did it for his dad, before he turns around and lights his lighter, setting himself on fire. Shocked and horrified, Hughie can only watch as Lamplighter is consumed in flames. The sprinklers activate to put out the fire, allowing for Starlight to escape her holding cell via the emergency light. Hughie stares at the now charred body of Lamplighter and runs away disappointed, but quickly returns to his body once he remembers that he needs Lamplighter’s hand to bypass the locks. Using a broken bottle, Hughie cuts off the hand and uses it to free Donna January. The two then meet up with Starlight and escape the tower.
Grace and M.M are disappointed with Hughie’s actions. Remarking their eyewitness is now dead when Hughie only had to sit and wait. Hughie protests that he didn’t know Lamplighter would kill himself. Meanwhile, Starlight hugs him and is grateful to Hughie for rescuing her.
Personality
At first glance, Lamplighter seemed as corrupt as the other members of the Seven, and before the accident, most likely was, given how Mallory was able to blackmail him with various pictures which instantly shook him up. And years later, it was shown that outside of slight hesitation, he still burns patients at the Sage Grove Center when they become unable to be controlled.
However, Lamplighter later reveals that not only did he not know that Mallory’s grandchildren were in the room he targeted believing Mallory herself was in there, but he genuinely felt heavy remorse for doing so. After revealing these things to Frenchie, M.M and Kimiko, Lamplighter goes out of his way to help them, telling them the true purpose of the center, then preventing Stormfront from learning of their presence or role in the patients escaping. Then he willingly goes with them to offer his life to Mallory to give her closure, showing that despite knowing she would kill him, he wanted to make things right. Despite this, Lamplighter grows increasingly despondent and fatalistic in the short time he spends in the Boys’ custody, believing that he is as good as dead after he testifies against Vought, and reflects upon his failed career. He felt real regret and pain over his past, as a boy his father used to hold him in high regard, and told him he’d do great things, which obviously he didn’t accomplish. This culminates in him committing suicide in the Seven’s headquarters, he originally wanted to do in front of his statue, but was heartbroken to find his statue had been replaced by Starlight’s. Regardless, Lamplighter proceeded as planned, with his final words being that he only wanted to make his dad proud.
Andrew Jackson Will Play Love Sausage on Season 2 of The Boys
September 30, 2020
The second season of Amazon’s The Boys released on September 4th to much fanfare, surprises and review bombs. Andrew Jackson has been cast as Love Sausage. The Boys were well and truly back, ready to wreak havoc on the supes and all across our screens.
The Story So Far
Potential spoilers follow for the Boys season 2.
The first three episodes packed a punch with some major plot points. The first 3 episodes see a whirlwind of plots. These include foreign superhumans, Translucent’s funeral, the appearance of a mysterious man with telekinetic abilities, tensions between Vought and Homelander, the introduction of Aya Cash’s character, Stormfront, and Homelander attempting to bond with the son he fathered with Becca Butcher.
Butcher, however, is missing but eventually returns. Fear not, Amazon did say they’d be releasing a short film for audiences to understand where he was between the events of Seasons 1 and 2.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Boys and wee Hughie are in hiding in the underground, unsure of their next movie, until a telepathic super shows up. The Deep, meanwhile is on his journey of self-discovery with the Eagle, a parody of Hawkeye.
Now with the story progressing as it is, we’ve just learned that Love Sausage, a popular character from the Boys by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson will be making his debut on the show.
Who is Love Sausage?
In the comics, Vasilli Vorishikin, is ally and friend to Butcher and the Boys. Vas is a Russian ex-cop, ex-tank commander, ex-superhero, communist and current owner of a bar in Moscow. Vas’s guilty penchant is drinking a beverage made from brake fluid that he passes off as Vodka. He used to be part of the Glorious Five-Year Plan. They were a team of five superheroes The Tractor, Purge, Red Banner, and Collectivo who ran riot in the days of the Soviet Union. They are all now presumably retired or dead. Vas bonds with Hughie and is one of the most likable supes according to the Boys.
Love Sausage is super-strong and extremely durable. He’s also…. Well-endowed, for lack of a better phrase. He cannot run while aroused and has stated that women with large bosoms are his “Kryptonite”. Revealing his fate from the comics could be spoilers. But suffice to say he meets a tragic end.
Who’s Been Cast as Love Sausage?
Andrew Jackson has been cast to play Love Sausage in season 2 of the Boys. Speculators assumed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be playing him. Given that he was slated to appear in season 3 and even that may be unlikely we now know that is not the case.
Andrew Jackson has appeared in popular shows such as Reign, Criminal Minds, and Dark Matter. He has also lent his voice to projects such as Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge, Beyblade Metal Fusion Beyblade Metal Fury. He will make his debut in episode 6 of season 2, where he will aid the boys in their fight against Stormfront. However, there’s one more surprise.
Lamplighter
Yes, Lamplighter, one of the Seven, will also be making his debut. Shawn Ashmore who you might remember from the X-Men as Bobby Drake also known as Iceman is playing a comic book character once more.
Lamplighter’s departure from the Seven was referred to in the first season of the Boys. Lamplighter had killed Colonel Mallory’s grandchildren. A parody of Green Lantern, he was forced to retire to stop an all-out war between the Seven and the CIA. Possibly ruthless and an absolute psychopath, Lamplighter carries a staff that allows him pyrokinetic abilities.
In the comics, Lamplighter was nearly beaten to death by the Female and Frenchie before Mallory (a male in the comics), shot him in the head. He was revived by Vought American with Compound V but retained no higher brain function and was permanently mentally incapacitated. Yikes.
What’s Next for The Boys?
Apart from the Boys taking on more supes, expect to see them go toe-to-toe with Stormfront in an epic battle. Lamplighter might also throw down with the boys, given what happens to him in the pages of the original series. Given how the Boys subverts some of the comic’s storylines and sometimes makes them better, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Lamplighter come off as a hero.
New episodes will be releasing every week till the finale which will be released on October 9, 2020. The series sees the return of Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon), and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) and their fearless leader, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban). Starlight (Erin Moriarty) also returns as she navigates her place in The Seven. Homelander (Antony Starr) on the other hand, is back as he vies for total control. Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social-media-savvy new Supe, has an agenda of her own. Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s supervillain paranoia.

William J. «Billy» Butcher is the deuteragonist-turned-final antagonist of the controversial comic book series The Boys, the main protagonist of I’m Your Pusher, the third episode of The Boys Presents: Diabolical, and the posthumous overarching protagonist of its sequel-spin-off The Boys: Dear Becky. He is the snarky and charismatic leader of The Boys and the archenemy of Homelander, who is the leader of The Seven, and his clone Black Noir. After the death of his wife, Billy became hellbent on eliminating all superheroes on the planet, but his vendetta is focused on The Homelander until the truth is revealed. After both Homelander and Black Noir are killed, Butcher continues his goal to eliminate all supes, which includes his teammates, but is stopped by his former brother-figure Wee Hughie. In The Boys Presents: Diabolical, he was voiced by Jason Isaacs. ContentsHistoryBackgroundBilly Butcher is the leader of The Boys, a CIA-working team tasked with monitoring and stopping The Seven, a corporate superhero group who are secretly vile, criminal and ruthless individuals. After losing his wife to a Supe, Butcher became consumed with getting revenge on the Homelander and destroying all superheroes in the world. Known for being charismatic and cunning, Butcher is described as a force of nature, getting what he wants by persuasion or brute force. BiographyEarly LifeWilliam J. «Billy» Butcher was born in England to Samuel Butcher and Carol Atkins, and was the older brother to Leonard «Lenny» Butcher. Billy grew up in London’s East End, and would spend his youth hearing his father beat his mother, causing him to become resentful toward his father. Though Billy tried to avoid becoming his father, he started acting out in school, often getting into fights and using vulgar language at teachers. When Lenny stopped Billy from killing their father one night, the latter decided to join the Royal Marines after being inspired by his grandfather. Billy participated in the Falklands War, but was eventually kicked out of the Royal Marines following a bar fight. Billy met Becky Saunders while riding a subway train the day after, and the two began a relationship when they helped Billy’s mother leave Samuel. The two married soon afterward, but disaster struck when Lenny was killed by a bus in 1986, and Becky was unknowingly raped by a member of the Seven when they were on vacation. Becky died from the super-powered fetus that was in her body three months later, and Billy killed the infant with a desk lamp. The BoysBilly was recruited by Greg Mallory, so he could get revenge on the Homelander, and Butcher began a group called the Boys to kill Supes across the world. The team was disbanded around the 2000s, but Billy brought the team together and recruited Wee Hughie, who lost his girlfriend to the supe A-Train. In comics, after the corrupt superhero problems were dealt with and the Seven were defeated, Billy betrayed other members of The Boys and had them killed to eliminate all Supes in the world. The first one was Mother’s Milk, who died suffocated by Billy, then it came to Frenchie and The Female, who were both blown up by bombs. In Billy’s point of view, with corrupt superheroes dealt with, The Boys who still has traits and abilities of superheroes they purged, would potentially become the next threat to humanity and had to be dealt with as well including Billy himself. Hughie Campbell, the protagonist, enraged by this act of betrayal, fights Billy in a long, difficult fight, where he manages to defeat Billy and ultimately kills the traitor with a glass shard. Despite dying, Billy praised Hughie and died with a smile on face, and Hughie tells Annie that Butcher is probably fighting in Hell. Physical AppearanceBilly is a rather gruff, striking and charming man of tall stature and toned physique who also looks rather unkempt. His hair is that of a thick, black greasy tuft on his head and he also has a prominent beard. Billy is usually seen wearing a dusty and battered black trench coat usually paired with some kind of patterned shirt. He also wears dark trousers and shoes and is often depicted carrying weapons such as crowbars and baseball bats. PersonalityBilly is a a fairly snarky and calm, but also arrogant and ruthless man, who is easily characterized by his immensely charismatic and persuasive nature. He is reasonably friendly to those around him, especially with Hughie, who he treats like a younger brother figure of sorts, however he does often push his allies to their boiling points, due to his sheer determination and eagerness to achieve whatever goal he sets out to perform. Who is love sausage?Love Sausage (real name Vasilii “Vas” Vorishikin) is a Russian ex-cop, ex-tank commander, ex-superhero, communist and current owner of a bar in Moscow with a penchant for drinking a beverage made from brake fluid that he passes off as Vodka. Correspondingly, What is Homelander’s real name? Homelander
Next, Is Billy Butcher a supe? Indeed, as promised by the show’s teaser poster, it’s official: Billy Butcher is a supe. Now, as fans count down the days until Season 3’s premiere, speculation abounds as to the how and why of Billy’s newfound abilities. Where did Homelander come from? 10 Out Of The World Origin Story In the comics, Homelander is given a Superman-like origin story, in that he appeared out of nowhere and landed on Earth as a baby. His strength was such that he even created a crater on the surface in the process. He is a benevolent alien who decides to stay on and help mankind. Regarding this, Why is Homelander obsessed with milk? TL;DR: Stillwell’s milk has traces of Compound V in it, Homelander became addicted to it and that’s why he’s obsessed with milk, because that’s how he gets his “high” on. Also, MM would get superpowers by drinking the same milk maybe by mistake or necessity. Table of Contents Why is he called mother’s milk?Mother’s Milk’s mysterious codename was given to him due to the fact that the Compound V in his body forced him to continuing nursing from his mother at a bizarrely advanced age, possibly even to the present. Is Hughie a super?Hughie Campbell was a typical, average and regular male, possessing no superpowers or extraordinary abilities, until he was injected with a shot of the enhancement drug Compound V. Why does Black Noir wear a mask?Black Noir makes a surprise appearance in the aftermath. When he takes off his mask, it’s revealed that he’s actually a clone of Homelander whose sole existence was to be a fail-safe against the overpowered hero should he lose control. Who is Homelander’s son?Ryan Butcher is the son of Homelander and Becca Butcher. Does Homelander eat a baby?Described as a unique, one-time occurrence, it’s revealed Homelander was once pushed too far, which led to him eating and ripping apart people. Most disturbingly, he ate a newborn baby (the images too gruesome to include in this post). Does Billy Butcher have powers?Powers and Abilities. Superhuman Strength: Butcher’s physical strength was augmented by Compound V. Hence, he was able to easily lift a grown man and knee him in the groin with enough force to hinder his performance. He crumbled a pistol in his bare hands, and one-shot the leader of Teenage Kix with a single headbutt. Is Teddy Homelander’s son?Homelander Might Be Teddy’s Father There is plenty of evidence in The Boys to suggest Homelander is Teddy’s father. Firstly, Madelyn’s family setup is never fully explained. It’s implied that the Vought executive is a single mother who paid for a sperm donor. Who is Black Noir based off of?Fans of the original comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson (spoiler warning) will know that Black Noir is actually a secret clone of Homelander, an insurance policy on the part of Vought to kill the crazed Superman if he ever slips out of their control. Is mother’s milk a supe?Milk’s nickname, ‘Mother’s Milk’ In the comics, Marvin T. Milk is a supe; he was born with Compound V in his body. Because his mother was contaminated while working at a Vought Factory, Marvin is born with Compound V running through his bloodstream. Is Black Noir stronger than Homelander?Ultimately, Black Noir is the definitive winner in a fight against the Homelander. While the two are matched in power, Black Noir is a feral maniac who has wanted to slaughter Homelander for years, while his originator is a pampered bully who was never expecting to have to meet his match. Does Homelander eat baby?Described as a unique, one-time occurrence, it’s revealed Homelander was once pushed too far, which led to him eating and ripping apart people. Most disturbingly, he ate a newborn baby (the images too gruesome to include in this post). Does Butcher ever get powers? In the preview for The Boys season 3, Butcher is shown exhibiting superpowers for the first time, powers that include laser vision. If this adaptation is anything like the comics, then Billy Butcher’s powers, whatever they end up being, will make him the strongest supe out there just like in The Boys comic series. What is Maeve’s power?Powers. Superhuman Strength: One of Queen Maeve’s primary abilities is tremendously enhanced superhuman strength, far greater than that of normal human beings. Maeve is the second strongest being in the world, only behind Homelander in terms of strength. Does Hughie get powers?Butcher injected Hughie with Compound V during their first mission, giving Hughie superhero powers but angering him nonetheless. He received superhuman strength and durability. Does Ryan Butcher have powers?Powers. Superhuman Strength: Ryan is strong enough to be able to shove Homelander to the ground, albeit when he was enraged, he is also stronger than humans. Invulnerability: Ryan managed to survive a 20 foot drop from the roof of his house, and despite being stunned for a few minutes, emerged unharmed. Who is stronger than Homelander? There’s one character on The Boys who could potentially end Homelander’s reign of terror – his own son. Why did Black Noir eat a baby?Homelander Eating A Baby He was created to keep an eye on Homelander, and would kill him and take his place were he to ever turn evil. The only problem was, Homelander never did anything to necessitate his replacement, and it drove Black Noir completely, and utterly insane. What is Homelanders kryptonite? For the DC superhero, it’s Kryptonite, the radioactive rock from his home world, but for Homelander, it’s something less substantial. It’s more of a concept — one that’s used to great effect against him in the Season 2 finale: Homelander is backed into a corner when the people’s love for him is placed in jeopardy. Will Hughie get powers?Butcher injected Hughie with Compound V during their first mission, giving Hughie superhero powers but angering him nonetheless. He received superhuman strength and durability. Does Hughie get super powers?Powers and abilities The dosage applied to Wee Hughie was worth 19 billion dollars. This gave Hughie superhuman levels of strength and durability, the likes of which means he can casually injure and kill regular humans as well as some super humans. But there’s no fixing that now.» —Soldier Boy dogmatic opinion on his son Homelander [src] Soldier Boy (real name Benjamin) is a major antagonist of the the Amazon series The Boys. Serving as a mentioned character in seasons 1 and 2, and one of the two main antagonists (alongside Homelander) of Season 3. He was America’s first and greatest superhero before Homelander and the former leader of the superhero team Payback. As a young man, Soldier Boy helped good triumph over evil in World War II, although this was contested by The Legend, who claimed it was Vought propaganda. With his superhero team Payback by his side, he was said to have fought for liberty and justice for all until his disappearance during a botched military operation in Nicaragua, with the cover story being that he heroically sacrificed his own life to save America from a nuclear power plant meltdown in 1984. ContentsThe Boys SeriesBackgroundEarly LifeSoldier Boy during World War II. «Soldier Boy grew up in the birthplace of American liberty. Born poor on the mean streets of South Philadelphia, he learned the values of hard work, tenacity and bravery. He used those values to prove America’s exceptionalism to the world. He defended us against the encroaching Red Menace. He helped guide America into a brighter future, and along the way, he found the love of a good woman, which made his sacrifice all the more noble, when he gave his life saving us from a nuclear holocaust. Please join us in saluting Soldier Boy.» —Narrator [src] Soldier Boy was born in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1919 under the name «Benjamin» or «Ben» as a nickname. The official backstory of Soldier Boy by Vought was that he was born poor and learned the values of hard work, tenacity and bravery. In reality, Ben was born to a wealthy father owning half the steel mills in the state. He was sent to boarding school so he could be properly educated. Unfortunately, Ben did poorly in boarding school and left, leading his father to call him a disappointment and tell him he was unworthy to carry on the family name. In 1944, by exploiting his father’s connections after joining the Army, Ben was able to get himself dosed with Dr. Frederick Vought’s field-tested version of Compound V and became Soldier Boy, America’s first superhero. With his newfound powers, Soldier Boy would allegedly slaughter German soldiers by the dozen in combat. [2] However, due to how much he was worth to the company, Vought-American used him mostly for war propaganda instead of actually letting him fight the Nazis. His father was also not impressed and disdainfully told Soldier Boy that he had taken a «shortcut,» claiming that a «real man» wouldn’t have «cheated» the way he had. In 1945, an executive order was drafted, presumably by President Harry S. Truman, to establish the date of April 28 as Soldier Boy Day as a way of honoring his heroic efforts during the war. However, Soldier Boy intervened and had the day be known as National Superhero Day as a way of honoring all superheroes instead. [3] Following the end of World War II, Soldier Boy remained a major superhero with Vought for decades and was familiar with Stormfront during her time as Liberty, as the two of them founded Herogasm together in 1952. [4] Soldier took part in the Red Scare and testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee. It has been claimed that, during the 1960s and 70s, Soldier Boy performed several black ops for the U.S government. He allegedly sprayed civil rights activists with fire hoses during the 1963 Birmingham protests and killed several anti-war demonstrators during the 1970 Kent State shootings. It has even been rumored that he was the man who assassinated President John F. Kennedy. Soldier Boy alongside Payback in 1984. Soldier Boy would also become the leader of the superhero team Payback, where he would supposedly fight crime alongside Crimson Countess, Gunpowder, Swatto, Mindstorm, Black Noir and the TNT Twins. Career in PaybackIn the fall of 1980, Jonah Vogelbaum called Soldier Boy into the lab and asked him to produce his sperm into a cup so that they could study his genetics. Unbeknownst, to Soldier Boy, Vogelbaum then used his sperm to create a baby who would eventually grow up to be Homelander. At some point during the 1980s, Soldier Boy came across a group of kids one night trying to boost a Benz. A scuffle ensued during which the suspects attempted to flee, leading Soldier Boy to pick up the Benz and hurl it through a nearby house owned by the Milk family, killing Louis Milk (57), Walter Milk (35), and Lucy Milk (32) in the process. The entire incident was witnessed by Marvin Milk, who was only a boy at the time. However, according to the official account given by Soldier Boy to the press, the suspects attempted to run him over with the car, forcing him to deflect the oncoming vehicle and cause it to crash into the Milk family home. During this period, he met the likes of Ronald Reagan, Hugh Hefner, and Princess Diana. He was even friends with Bill Cosby at one point, who he admired as «America’s Dad». On July 12, 1982, in Queens, New York, Soldier Boy and Swatto reportedly assaulted a homeless man in a park. The homeless man wanted to press charges against the two, but then vanished. In 1983, Soldier Boy starred in the classic film Red Thunder about the Soviet–Afghan War. [5] Betrayed and Cover-upIn the same year, despite being publicly against drugs, Vought had Soldier Boy and the rest of Payback participate in Operation Charly, a clandestine CIA military operation that was funded by illegal cocaine trafficking and sought to back the right-wing Nicaraguan Contras against the communist, Soviet-backed Sandinistas. During the operation, Soldier Boy displayed a carefree yet arrogant and misogynistic attitude towards the handling officer, then-Lieutenant Army Colonel Grace Mallory. He would make numerous passes at Mallory before she finally rebuffed him and reacted by calling her homophobic slurs. Later on, due to Swatto’s carelessness, the Sandinistas and their Soviet allies were able to launch a surprise attack on Mallory’s base. This, along with Payback’s incompetence and lack of training, led to the deaths of 116 of Mallory’s men and allowed the Soviets to somehow neutralize Soldier Boy, who they then captured and transported to a secret military compound in the USSR. Despite presenting themselves as a close-knit team, the truth was that Soldier Boy was hated by the other members of Payback as he sabotaged any efforts by them to advance their careers and would frequently physically abuse them (at one point delivering a severe beating to Noir who had complained about Soldier Boy ruining his chance to appear in Beverly Hills Cop). One day Stan Edgar approached Noir and told him that they felt it was time to ‘retire’ Soldier Boy, as Vought had created a child whom they believed to be more powerful. Noir agreed, knowing that the rest of the team (besides Gunpowder) would be more than willing to help kill their hated leader. Payback used the Soviet attack to betray Soldier Boy. Soldier Boy found himself ambushed by his teammates who launched a brutal attack against him. Although Noir’s face was deformed and he suffered brain damage, the team were successful in knocking Soldier Boy out and handed him to the Russians. Vought covered up his «death,» by claiming that Soldier Boy had died a hero sacrificing himself to stop a nuclear meltdown in Ohio. Russian Lab RatHowever, what no one in the US knew was that the Russians had decided not to kill Soldier Boy. Or maybe they found out that they couldn’t kill him. So, instead, the Soviet Union decided to see what COULD kill Soldier Boy. On 24 January 1986, while in captivity, a scientist clinically noted that Soldier Boy had extremely durable skin, both internally and externally, and by then had bombarded him with twenty sieverts of ionizing radiation, which is far greater than the lethal limit: a procedure that Butcher described as «more or less shoved Chernobyl right up [Soldier Boy’s] arse». On 8 June 1986, the same scientist noted that Soldier Boy was still exuding higher-than-normal levels of radiation as a result of the January 24th procedure. Later that day, he also attempted to see if Soldier Boy’s eyes were as durable as the rest of his body by stabbing his right eye with a scalpel, prompting Soldier Boy to rip off his restraints and kill the scientist by grabbing the scalpel and stabbing him in the neck with it. Soldier Boy then attempted to escape, but was knocked unconscious when the Soviets flooded the room with some type of gas. On 8 June 1990, Soldier Boy was recorded as being experimented on by the Soviets again. This time, an AK-47 was fired into his mouth and he was burned with a cutting torch, both of which failed to so much as even scratch him. Other experiments intended to harm Soldier Boy included sulfuric acid cocktails, presumably along with various other exploratory procedures. Season TwoSoldier Boy was first mentioned in The Big Ride. Stan Edgar was telling Homelander about Soldier Boy when he put the leader of The Seven in his place. His statue was on the square in Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker. This is the only time Soldier Boy’s physical appearance can be seen during the season. Season ThreeAwakeningOn a mission in Russia, The Boys broke into a military facility where they were looking for the rumored superweapon to kill Homelander. Butcher opened up a sealed pod and found inside laid Soldier Boy, alive, and hooked up to several plugs. Soldier Boy woke up with a confused look as he freed himself from his restraints. He walked out of the container while The Boys looked on in shock. While Frenchie attempted to reassure Soldier Boy, the latter’s chest began to glow. Sensing what happens next, Kimiko pushed Frenchie aside before Soldier Boy involuntarily released a blast of fiery energy from his torso at Kimiko, launching her through the nearby wall. While they were distracted with Kimiko, Soldier Boy exited through the hole and escaped from the facility, ignoring further contact with The Boys. ReturnAfter having fled the Russian facility, Soldier Boy stole a pair of clothes and eventually boarded a plane bound for America. Soldier Boy wanders the streets of modern day New York City with confusion as he no longer recognizes the society he was separated from for decades. As he walks down the street of Manhattan, Soldier Boy hears Russian music on a nearby radio and begins to remember the torture and experiments he endured in Russia. Overwhelmed by his trauma, Soldier Boy’s powers activate, and he released a deadly explosion of radiation, killing 19 civilians and damaging several nearby buildings. With no places to go, Soldier Boy visits The Legend to retrieve his old suit and to get information about his girlfriend, Crimson Countess. Before he arrives at her trailer, The Boys intercept his plan and bind Countess. Soldier Boy then arrives with his suit and talks with Butcher. Billy negotiates with Soldier Boy, allowing him to confront the bound Countess in exchange for a team up. Soldier Boy seemingly agrees and enters the trailer. Countess is shocked to see Soldier Boy alive before he confronts her for betraying him and letting him be captured by the Russians. Shocked to hear she wasn’t paid to do it, Soldier Boy laments his love for her and that despite his torture, he was always hopeful that she would rescue him. Countess reveals that she never loved him and the whole team hated him. Enraged and heartbroken, Soldier Boy releases a blast of energy that kills Countess and destroys her trailer. Soldier Boy walks out of the wreckage and left with Butcher and Hughie following behind. Good HuntingThe three regroup at a motel and negotiate the terms of their alliance. Butcher and Hughie agree to give Soldier Boy information about his former teammates, and once he has his revenge, Soldier Boy will use his powers to kill Homelander. While Butcher is out to get the location for the TNT Twins, Hughie helps Soldier Boy adjust to the new world with GPS and the Internet. While they watch tv, Hughie notices as Soldier Boy grows more agitated, he starts emitting more and more radiation. Soldier Boy then rants about the U.S’s failure in Afghanistan and how he got nothing for his sacrifices except abandonment. Hughie then asks about what Soldier Boy did in Midtown Manhattan. Soldier Boy states he doesn’t know because he blacked out and only saw the aftermath, but he’s remorseful nonetheless. Butcher then arrives coated in someone else’s blood and informs them the TNT Twins are in Vermont. Soldier Boy suits up while Hughie and Butcher inject themselves with V24. They arrive at the Twins’ house when they’re hosting the 70th annual Herogasm. The three stakeout the mansion and map out a plan. Concerned about collateral damage, Hughie wants them to give him three minutes to locate the Twins before they enter the mansion. But when Hughie gets distracted with A-Train and spotted by Annie, Butcher and Soldier Boy enter on their own. Mother’s Milk then notices Soldier Boy and attempts to incapacitate him with Halothane gas, but Soldier Boy only casually breathes it in. Regardless, M.M confronts Soldier Boy about his family, but Butcher intervenes and tells Soldier Boy where the Twins are, getting him to take his attention away from M.M. Soldier Boy confronts the Twins, with them both stating they weren’t the ones who planned his capture in Nicaragua. Soldier Boy demands to know who was responsible for the plan. They tell him it was Noir’s plan, but Soldier Boy is in disbelief because Noir is too loyal to Vought to do something like this. Soldier Boy then hears Russian music on Love Sausage’s nearby radio, reminding him of his trauma. The Twins attempt to attack him as Soldier Boy struggles, but their powers fail. Soldier Boy then unleashes a devastating beam of energy at the Twins and turns around, damaging more of the mansion. Dozens of Supes and Humans lie horrifically burned, wounded or killed by the destruction. Soldier Boy regroups with Butcher, he states he blacked out during the attack and doesn’t know what fully happened. Foul PlayHomelander confronts them, having been lured by the destruction. Enraged at Butcher for «cheating,» Homelander calls off their «Scorched Earth» deal and incapacitates Butcher with his heat vision. Homelander admits that Soldier Boy was his idol growing up, as he was the only one who was nearly as strong as him. Soldier Boy incites Homelander by calling him nothing more than a knockoff. Homelander flies at Soldier Boy, pins him to a wall and attempts to unleash his Heat Vision. However, Soldier Boy uppercuts Homelander, causing him to miss his attack. The pair start trading blows, with both appearing to be evenly matched. However, Homelander does eventually overpower Soldier Boy and begins choking him. Butcher then recovers and attacks Homelander with his own Heat Vision. Soldier Boy recovers as Butcher and Homelander face off against each other. The two reach a stalemate with their heat vision until Soldier Boy grabs Homelander’s cape and throws him into a wall. The two beat Homelander until he tosses Soldier Boy aside and begins choking Butcher. Hughie then teleports inside and punches Homelander off Butcher. With Homelander distracted, Butcher and Soldier Boy overpower him, pinning him to the ground. Hughie teleports back to help them as Butcher orders Soldier Boy to unleash another energy blast. As Soldier Boy charges up, Butcher orders Hughie to leave but he refuses. Desperate to survive, Homelander unleashes an adrenaline-fueled scream as he breaks free from their grasp, before flying upwards and retreating. With his target having escaped, Soldier Boy exits the mansion as Butcher and Hughie receive disappointed looks from M.M and Annie. RevelationSoldier Boy with The Boys Soldier Boy and The Boys continue to track down Mindstorm, seeking to kill him. As they approach Mindstorm’s cabin, Soldier Boy warns them not to make eye contact with Mindstorm or they’ll be put in an endless nightmare. As they continue, Soldier Boy steps on a landmine that temporarily incapacitates the trio, long enough for Mindstorm to trap Butcher in a nightmare before fleeing to his cabin. When they recover, Hughie is distraught over Butcher’s condition and pleads with Soldier Boy to help him have Mindstorm wake Butcher. Soldier Boy refuses, insisting that it isn’t worth the risk and Butcher would want them to continue even without him. Hughie and Soldier Boy advance further until they stumble upon a priest and nun with car trouble. When they were revealed to be mind-controlled by Mindstorm after the two of them go on the attack, to which Soldier Boy executes them both. Hughie begins to panic at Soldier Boy’s callous nature and accuses him of being a fraud, prompting Soldier Boy to punch Hughie after angrily chiding him about losing sight of the mission. Nonetheless, the two eventually stumble upon Mindstorm’s cabin. They enter and Soldier Boy notices Mindstorm hiding around the corner. Before he can do anything, Hughie teleports himself and Mindstorm to Butcher’s body to make a deal: if Mindstorm wakes Butcher up, Hughie will teleport him anywhere he wants to go. After Butcher awakens, Soldier Boy finds them and throws a knife into Mindstorm’s eye. As the Supe panics, Soldier Boy tackles Mindstorm and wraps his head in cloth. Hughie attempts to intervene, only to have Soldier Boy hit him again, this time hard enough to send him flying back. ShowdownAt Vought Tower, Homelander informs Soldier Boy that he already killed Noir and he just wants to talk. Homelander states the situation to Soldier Boy that he is his son, his blood and together, no one will stand in their way. Soldier Boy isn’t convinced, and threatens to kill Homelander first. Homelander then brings out Ryan and introduces Soldier Boy to his grandson. Soldier Boy tells him he wishes he raised him so that he could be better. Homelander assures him they can be a family, but Soldier Boy remarks that Homelander is unredeemable and a disappointment. He then grabs Homelander by the throat as Maeve and Butcher restrain Homelander. Ryan lasers down Soldier Boy with his Heat Vision before Soldier Boy can finish charging up. Soldier Boy then knocks Ryan unconscious with his shield. Homelander tries to help him, while Soldier Boy begins charging up his nuclear blast. Soldier Boy prepares to blast Ryan and Homelander, so Butcher attacks him with his Heat Vision, which Soldier Boy blocks with his shield. However, Homelander suddenly adds his own Heat Vision to the assault, which sends Soldier Boy flying into the next room. As Maeve distracts Homelander, Butcher follows Soldier Boy, telling him to back off. Soldier Boy repeats Butcher’s earlier comment about blood not mattering, but Butcher explains that Ryan is his wife’s son and he promised to always protect her son. Feeling betrayed, Soldier Boy announces that Butcher is just as weak as Homelander, and attacks. Soldier Boy manages to overpower Butcher in melee combat, and even with the sudden arrival of Starlight, the Female, Hughie and Mother’s Milk, he continues to dominate the fight. Eventually, Hughie sees an opening, and turns up the power for the room’s lighting systems. This sudden increase in electricity overcharges Starlight as she unleashes an energy attack, and knocks Soldier Boy to the ground. It gives the others enough time to subdue him and for M.M to dose Soldier Boy with Novichok. Refusing to be imprisoned once again, Soldier Boy begins charging a particularly devastating blast and breaks free from their grasp. As he’s about to explode and kill everyone around him, Maeve tackles Soldier Boy, before jumping out the window with him as he explodes, saving everyone else and sacrificing herself. However, Maeve survived and went into hiding with her girlfriend while an unconscious Soldier Boy is recovered by Grace Mallory and put back into a gassed capsule. News of Soldier Boy’s attack on the Seven Tower and Maeve’s apparent sacrifice became known to the world. His film and television appearances were removed from Vought+, including Red Thunder. After receiving several complaints online, Vought International decided to bring back all Soldier Boy related content back to the steaming service, along with a content warning that brushes off Soldier Boy’s violent actions, blaming the Russians for radicalizing him. His Soldier Boy statue gets toppled by Camp Stormfighter (presumably Homelander exaggerated the events that happened between them). PersonalityIn his cover story, Soldier Boy is portrayed as a patriotic hero who fought in WWII for justice and liberty and gave his life to save America from a nuclear meltdown in 1984. According to The Legend, however, Soldier Boy never really fought on D-Day and only participated in publicity shoots and propaganda films with the American military at the time. During his younger years, as the leader of Payback, Soldier Boy was an arrogant, macho, violent, reckless, womanizing bully who had sexist tendencies, was physically and emotionally abusive to anyone who disagreed with him, and had no qualms with using his status and power to intimidate and manipulate others for his own ends, using Black Noir as his primary punching bag. This is seen when he used his contacts to make sure Noir wouldn’t get his participation in a movie for being «not good enough,” seeing Noir’s ambition as an attempt to usurp and outshine him. He also placed a high importance on traditional masculinity and «being a man», physically and verbally abusing anyone who failed to meet or opposed his views and standards of masculinity; something he said, in his words, was to «toughen them up». He retained this attitude even after The Boys freed him from Russian captivity, nearly forty years after he was first captured. As claimed by Grace Mallory during her recounting of the Nicaragua incident, Soldier Boy had a celebrity-like persona and was not used to people looking down on him, which led him to insult and belittle her when she refused his advances. He was also quite rash, as he nearly fired a rocket launcher without realizing he was aiming at a munitions dump that could obliterate half the camp and draw the attention of any enemy military forces operating nearby. According to Grace, Soldier Boy also lacked the ability to «read the room», in that he always assumed that women were charmed by his machismo when they actually despised him for it. In spite of his hyper-masculine persona, Soldier Boy was apparently capable of showing respect and gave Grace a small gesture of appreciation when she killed an enemy soldier who was about to fire on him from behind. Furthermore, despite his arrogance and machismo, Soldier Boy was the only Supe during the Nicaragua incident seen to be fighting effectively and maintaining total composure in combat against the enemy, which was seen again when he fought Homelander for the first time at Herogasm. This shows that he possesses much greater discipline and skill in wielding his powers in actual combat, in marked contrast to the general lack of tactical capability, panicking and cowardice associated with most Supes, which could possibly be from his time as a soldier during WWII before he became Soldier Boy. Even when enraged, Soldier Boy’s discipline showed as he fought effectively against Butcher and the Boys when they tried to stop him in Vought tower. After returning home to the USA, fresh from captivity, Soldier Boy was shown to be very bitter and vindictive, immediately targeting his former teammates for death on a revenge rampage. For all his apparent homicidal tendencies, he does not seem to exhibit psychopathic behavior like Homelander and apparently actively avoids taking civilian lives if he can help it (although he does avoid taking responsibility when he causes casualties). He also showed remorse for the lives lost when he had unleashed his radiation blast, quietly admitting to Hughie that he wasn’t a bad guy and he didn’t mean to hurt them, but whether or not he actually meant that apology is questionable, especially considering he later killed a priest that he was sure that Mindstorm had brainwashed before even finding out if the priest had been brainwashed, as well as being prepared to detonate and destroy Vought tower, despite the civilians present. He can also be civilized and polite with those he doesn’t despise or perceive as enemies, as displayed when he went to The Legend’s apartment to retrieve his super suit and asked him where he could find Crimson Countess, as well as his interactions with Hughie while resting at a motel. He claimed to have loved Countess and hoped that that she would come and save him during his imprisonment. As such, he seemed genuinely shocked and hurt to find that she had never loved him and had abandoned him to the Russians for seemingly no reason beyond pure hatred. Soldier Boy’s idea of family is directly connected to his general «alpha male» demeanor, as seen when he finally meets his son Homelander face to face. Soldier Boy’s disappointment in Homelander, regarding him as «weak, sniveling» and «starved for attention», leads him to decide to kill his own son, uncaring of his newly discovered grandson Ryan and attacking him out of annoyance at the boy defiantly attacking him. As the Supe who first started Herogasm, Soldier Boy has probably been exposed to and indulged in all manner of sexual activities, which appears to have made him more tolerant towards homosexuality. When he returned to the USA and passed a gay couple being affectionate in public, he appeared to be pleasantly surprised. He also frequently boasts about the many famous and beautiful women he has slept with. For all of Soldier Boy’s flaws, his most redeeming quality is that he is a notably honorable person and always keeps his word, primarily shown through him keeping his part of the deal that he made with Butcher and Hughie to help them kill Homelander, even when the latter eventually overpowered him in combat. His sense of honor goes so far that he was even willing to continue the mission after discovering that Homelander was his biological son, choosing to keep his word to Butcher and Hughie. He was also outraged when Butcher went back on their agreement solely because of Solder Boy’s attack on Ryan. Though shown to be quite courageous, Soldier Boy had developed a fear and hatred of being locked away again. When The Boys attempted to use the knockout gas to knock him out, he expressed fear and anger at the thought of being locked away, causing him to charge his most destructive blast of radiation yet to try and kill them all. The Boys Showrunner Shares His NSFW Love Sausage-Themed Christmas PresentWhen it comes to Amazon’s The Boys, there’s no shortage of jaw-dropping moments. Scene after scene, the superhero show continually pushes the boundaries; that much was especially true with the release of the show’s second season earlier this year. Choosing to stay all-too-accurate with the Dynamite comic title, Eric Kripke and company decided to introduce Love Sausage — a character from the comics that has the ability to grow his penis at will. Kripke took to Twitter Monday to unveil a Christmas present he was gifted from Laz Alonso, a phallic knitted scarf. Y’know, the perfect homage to Love Sausage and one of the show’s most bizarre moments. See it for yourself in its full NSFW glory below. After fans loved the moment, one in which Love Sausage uses his powers to choke Alonso’s character, Kripke admitted the character could return in Season Three if the stars align just right. «Everyone pay attention to Laz’s (Alonso) response and reaction as I say this, which is, last week a writer pitched that this is not the last time that Mother’s Milk and Love Sausage interact,» Kripke said during a virtual panel at New York Comic Con. «We’re talking about it, there’s conversation.» Alonzo added, «C’mon man. You know what, that’s good? I want to get him back.» Amazon has already renewed a third season of The Boys, in addition to pushing a college-centered spinoff into active dvelopment. The third season will feature the long-awaited reunion between Kripke — the creator and initial showrunner of Supernatural — and Supernatural star Jensen Ackles. «I think anyone expecting Jensen to show up and be a good guy, they will be disappointed. I’ll say that! [Laughs],» Kripke previously Variety of Ackle’s character Soldier Boy. «In the comics he’s mostly just kind of bumbling and subservient to Homelander, I would say. As we’re writing him in this, we’re getting to really talk about the history of Vought because he’s like John Wayne. He’s one of these guys that’s been around for decades of Vought history. And he was Homelander before Homelander, so he’s from a different era, but he’s got the ego and the ambition — it just comes across in a different way because he’s from a different time.» Both seasons of The Boys are now streaming on Amazon Prime. What other characters do you hope get added to the show next year? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section! The 5 Most Shocking Moments From The Boys Season 3From the first minutes, the 3rd season of The Boys surprised with the bloodiest, funniest and most twisted show. From Herogasm to Big Revelation, these are five of the most shocking moments in a superhero series. AHEAD SPOILERS. The Boys proud of his shocking moments. When the first season aired back in 2019, the nightmarish scene of Patriot and Maeve on the plane spread through wary word of mouth. Besides, who can forget how Charlotte (Popclaw) crushed her landlord’s head during an orgasm? Season 2 also featured Homelander making love to himself, a crying whale impaled by a speedboat, a giant love sausage, and Congressional hearings culminating in massive head explosions. Basically, The Boys has always been a crazy spectacle, but season 3 added a few more unforgettable scenes. 5 Most Shocking Moments in The Boys Season 3Naturally, there were a few moments that didn’t make the top five. These include: Hughie and Butcher get powers; Homelander kills Supersonic and forces the woman to jump off the roof of the house; Homelander no longer cares about aircraft video; Butcher sleeps with Maeve; Brief masturbatory appearance of Seth Rogen with Alla Countess; and Kimiko’s dildo. The penultimate episode brought one stunning twist: Soldier, Vought’s All-American hero who was sent to Russia to make way for Homelander, «passed a sperm sample» in the 80s and unwittingly became a father. Yes, Soldier is Patriot’s father. Both characters are terrible in their own way: Soldier Boy is a living statue with outdated, problematic views and extreme paranoia; while Homelander quickly becomes a narcissistic god. 4 Patriot Kills Black NoirThe presence of Black Noir in The Boys has always sparked controversy, but Season 3 served as its most tragic part. Let’s be clear, his reprehensible actions throughout his career in «Voight» were not redeemed, but we learned more about his past; in particular, how he betrayed Toy Soldier, who beat him to a pulp and left him permanently disfigured. This explains why Black Noir has always served the Patriot so faithfully, but his one omission turned out to be his biggest mistake. When he told Humlander that he knew that Soldier was his father, Patriot turned him inside out, Superman and Joker style. 3 Deep One Eats TimothyAbyss (Deep One) has always been a bit of an unlucky soup and has had no shortage of weird moments this season. However, one of the most disturbing scenes happened in episode 3 after his return to The Seven. Sitting at a table with his comrades, the Patriot hosts a seafood feast that culminates in a live octopus just for the Deep One. He pleads with Homelander, saying that he can hear «Timothy» plead for a life. Alas, he gets through it by stuffing his tentacles into his mouth with sushi chopsticks, his ink dripping from his mouth. 2. All HerogasmIt’s been two weeks since Herogasm appeared on our screens, and his pictures are still fresh in the minds of fans. The infamous superhero orgy has been highly anticipated by fans, known as one of the most depraved, graphic storylines in any comic book. Eric Kripke made some changes to the show, but he delivered NSFW merchandise. 1. Thermite explodes in her boyfriend’s penisFor all of Season 3’s gory violence and jaw-dropping moments, it never overshadowed the first episode’s crotch-clinging incredulity. Even against Herogasm, The Termite’s terrifying opening scene marked a new high for TV deaths. Secluded in a room with her boyfriend, Termite (a version of Ant-Man) snorted some cocaine, shrunk in size and crawled inside his partner’s penis to please him. Despite his best efforts to keep from sneezing, the result was the gruesome death of a man, left split in half with his entrails dropping off the bed onto the floor. The Boys Season 3 is now available to stream in its entirety on Prime Video. Infamous Scene of Love Sausage In The Boys Was StrangledThe infamous scene from The Boys of Mother’s Milk that was being strangled by Love Sausage in The Boys was created by using some practical effects. In Season 2, Episode 6, Love Sausage in The Boys was introduced, he was a patient at Sage Grove mental facility who has a large, prehensile penis. In the very same episode, Love Sausage in The Boys used his appendage to strange Mother’s Milk. Eric Kripke Explained The Scene Of Love Sausage In The BoysWhile speaking with EW, showrunner Eric Kripke lately discussed what took off while creating that scene, and how the craftsmen formulated the appendage for the now-famous chokehold. Kripke has confirmed that for the scene of Love Sausage in The Boys, to seem so realistic enough, their designing team built a “10-foot animatronic dick puppet.” Computer-generated impacts were amplified in as well to help with the impression of its slithering movement. “We’re in these long meetings,” he said, revealing a large amount of time went into creating the fake penis. “Where these craftsmen and experts are asking me about the number of veins.” In The Boys comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robinson, Love Sausage/Vasilii Vorishikin is a retired Russian police officer who was administered as an ally to Billy Butcher and the gang. In Season 2, Episode 6 of Amazon’s The Boys, the identity of the same is one of the grown-up patients that Vought vaccinated with Compound V. Love Sausage attacked Mother’s Milk in an endeavor to avoid the Sage Grove facility. The Boys from Amazon Studios stars Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander, and Aya Cash as Stormfront. New episodes of Season 2 will be releasing on Fridays on Amazon Prime Video. Heroes WikiHughie Campbell | This article’s content is marked as Mature. Hugh «Wee Hughie» Campbell is the main protagonist of the controversial comic book series The Boys, and also appears as one of the main characters in The Boys: Dear Becky. Hughie is a relatively kind young man albeit very squeamish and is pushed into the realm of vigilantism in vengeance for his late girlfriend Robyn. He is the archenemy of A-Train, the former best friend/brother figure to Billy Butcher and the romantic interest of Starlight. In The Boys Presents: Diabolical, he was voiced by Simon Pegg, who also played Montgomery Scott in the Star Trek reboot film series and Shaun in Shaun of the Dead, Nicholas Angel in Hot Fuzz, Reepicheep in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Montgomery Scott in the alternate reality of Stark Trek, and also voiced Buck in the Ice Age series, Nicholas Angel in Hot Fuzz, Graeme Willy in Paul, Gary King in The World’s End, and Jack in A Fantastic Fear of Everything. ContentsHistoryOriginsHughie was a fairly-standard young man in his twenties working a typical job as an electrical appliance salesman in a loving relationship with his girlfriend Robyn. Unfortunately, however, tragedy struck as she was struck down by accident by the speedster member of the superhero group The Seven known as A-Train, much to Hughie’s horror. ComicsIn the comics, Hughie joins the Boys after his girlfriend, Robin is accidentally killed by A-Train during a superhero brawl. Billy injects Hughie with Compound V during their mission, giving Hughie superhero powers but angering him nonetheless. He received superhuman strength and durability. Unlike the show, Hughie is Scottish instead of American. PersonalityUnlike many of his teammates, Hughie had a very low tolerance for violence and was often repulsed at what his friends did to their enemies at times. He did end up loosening up later on however and became more relaxed. Hughie is a fairly incompetent and generally unreliable man as well in spite of being reasonably intelligent he lacks a great deal of common sense and will often not fully think a plan through before engaging in it. Hughie is also quite weak-willed and dishonest to those close to him at times although this is usually somewhat justified. AppearanceHughie appeared as a fair-skinned gangly man with a strawberry blonde goatee and a close-cropped (later shaved) hairstyle. He traditionally wore a black leather trenchcoat, blue jeans and a grey t-shirt. Sausage Man 14.08

На этот раз для пародии он использовал песню группы Arrows «I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll» («Я люблю рок-н-ролл» 1975), более известную в исполнении Джоан Джетт (Joan Jett) и группы The Blackhearts (http://www.stihi.ru/2012/05/09/9087). The Boys spoilers follow for season two, episode six ‘The Bloody Doors Off’. The Boys proved once again that it’s a superhero show with a difference in its latest episode ‘The Bloody Doors Off’ as it briefly introduced a brand new supe with an undeniably unique special power. While Frenchie (Tomer Capon), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) are staging a break-in at the mysterious Sage Grove Hospital, a number of the patients, who have all received experimental doses of Compound V, escape their rooms and cause havoc. That includes the aptly named ‘Love Sausage’ (Andrew Jackson), a character adapted from the comic books who has the ability to extend his penis and wrap it around people like a tentacle, which is exactly what he does to poor Mother’s Milk before being forced to retreat after his appendage is attacked. But Frenchie star Tomer has revealed during an interview with TVLine that there was originally a little more to this memorable scene, which he believes could be «the first ever genitalia action scene». «Laz came into the trailer one day, and me and Karl (Urban, who plays Billy Butcher) read Episode 6, and we asked Laz if he read Episode 6 and does he know about the fight scene with the large whatever, and Laz thought we were kidding him,» said Tomer. «He thought it’s a joke. He thought we were pranking him. He only read his lines, and then he went back and read it and came back to the trailer, and he was choking from, already in the makeup trailer before the scene, just from knowing what he’s going to do. «On the set, I was very emotional, and Laz took advantage of it. He said, ‘Well, if I’m fighting this thing around my neck, I need someone to help me,’ and he pitched it our director, he said, ‘Maybe Frenchie can bite it off.’ «And I was so emotional after my scene that I’m like, ‘I’ll do anything for my friend. Anything!’ and I just went for it. The problem is I tore it apart, and they couldn’t use the footage.» He confirmed that the fake penis was very much there on set as a prosthetic, adding that «if they thought ever that it would be CGI, I’m sure that Kripke and the rest of the cast, they would just protest and say, ‘No, no, no. We need a real real one.'» Aside from all the ‘Love Sausage’ action, the episode explores some of Frenchie’s tragic backstory as he reveals his feelings of guilt over the deaths of the grandchildren of former leader of The Boys, Grace Mallory (Laila Robins). Frenchie finds a way to come to terms with his feelings as he meets Lamplighter (Shawn Ashmore), the supe responsible for their deaths, again and Lamplighter admits that he too feels guilt, explaining that the children hadn’t been his target. Tomer revealed that he was «freaking out» when he read the script for Frenchie’s big episode, saying that he was «so happy» for his character. «(Showrunner Eric Kripke) already knew what he was telling with those characters and where to take them,» he said. «And to see that happening in Season 2, like reading the stuff he was giving me information about already in Season 1, it already was bubbling inside me, the whole experience, the trauma from taking responsibility and feeling ashamed. «It’s redemption, that’s what he’s looking for.» The Boys season two dropped on Amazon Prime Video on September 4 with episodes 1-3, and now continues weekly, dropping new episodes each Friday. Sage Grove CenterSage Grove CenterLocationThe Sage Grove Center is a psychiatric hospital in Pennsylvania. Online, the hospital claims to offer global wellness services. In reality, the center is a subsidiary of Vought International. At the center, Vought runs tests on patients who are imprisoned in the facility. They are injecting Compound V in an attempt to perfect the formula so that adults, as well as children, can be given permanent superpowers without any unwanted side effects. Stormfront and Stan Edgar are behind a lot of these initiatives. Lamplighter works at the facility, burning the evidence of any and all wrongdoings and mishaps. Eventually, The Boys find out about Sage Grove when Starlight searches Stormfront’s laptop and finds emails from Sage Grove, prompting The Boys to investigate the area in The Bloody Doors Off. Starlight, Hughie, and Butcher wait outside the facility while Frenchie, Mother’s Milk, and The Female sneak inside. The Three break into a surveillance office and discover the super powered patients. They then see Stormfront and Lamplighter interrogate a telekinetic patient, Tim. Tim moves the objects as commanded, but insists he has to see his family; until Stormfront refuses in that he is still a danger to himself and everyone around him. Tim then states he won’t use his powers until he sees them, so Stormfront leaves the room and Lamplighter promptly burns Tim. Butcher and company watch Stormfront leave and warn their teammates to get out of there now before she returns. As the three attempt to escape, Lamplighter notices them and recognizes Frenchie. Lamplighter attacks them but accidentally melts Cindy’s cell door, allowing for her to escape. She then uses her telekinetic powers to open the nearby cells and release the patients. The patients run wild through the halls and attack the doctors and security guards in their way. The Three members and Lamplighter hide throughout the facility to wait out the riot. While some of the patients escape, Stormfront returns and finishes off any she can see. She then calls for Lamplighter and asking him what went wrong, Lamplighter lies that Dr. Carlton got the dosage for Cindy wrong again so she opened the cells and caused an insurrection. Stormfront then leaves telling him to clean up the mess.
