How to Build a Team

A team has 1 Commander unit and 2 other units.

Because the commander is less likely to be attacked or hit by status effects, you usually want to put a DPS unit as your commander and use your 2 other units to support them.

For your other 2 units you usually want:

But it really depends on what units and skills you got.

What troop to use

Each unit on your team can be assigned one type of troops.

Archers: ok movespeed, high attack, low health, low defence, low destruction.

Best for DPS commander

Infantry: ok movespeed, low attack, high health, ok defence, low destruction.

Use on your other 2 units if you have healing on your team. healing is more effective on troops with higher health.

Cavalry: fast movespeed, ok attack, ok defence, ok health, low destruction.

Use on your other 2 units if they still deal decent damage, or you just want to move fast.

Siege: slow movespeed, ok attack, low defence, ok health, high destruction.

Could use siege on debuffers. but they are so slow that maybe its better not to use them at all.

You start with tier 1 troops, and you can use the Academy to research higher tiers. Always research higher tier archers first to make killing enemies easier.

Academy and Research

The academy is used to research different technologies that improve your resource gathering, troops, and trade.

Just like any other building, it needs to be upgraded along with your city hall.

When you are upgrading the academy, you cannot research anything so it is best to use building speedups to instantly upgrade your Academy, so that you can always be researching.

What to research – Economic

You should rush the research speed and building speed technologies. It is the best long term strategy.

You can max out some of the earlier researches since they don’t take very long. But I wouldn’t research anything else more than what is required to reach the “Advanced Research” – last research speed technology.

It’s not worth researching technologies that increase resource gathering or production, since you can make a second account and use it to send resources to yourself if you ever run low.

What to research – Trade

You should rush to “Carriage” – the last caravan load technology. Increase that to an amount where you are comfortable reaching the trade limit every day.

You could also consider staying with 1 trade route forever, and levelling technologies related to the price of those 2 items. I do a trade route between Alonia and Amrittes, trading their city exclusive items. There might be better trade routes, but is it really worth worrying about?

What to research – Military

You should rush higher tiers of troops. You can max some of the earlier technologies since they are quick, but otherwise just try to get to tier 4 archers fast. Tier 5 archers takes a crazy long amount of time, so tier 4 will be the baseline for most players.

Build Order

Focus on levelling up your city hall. Each city hall level requires you to level up the following:

Hopefully they both take roughly the same amount of time, but sometimes the step 4 building requires other buildings to be upgraded too.

As long as you are using both building queues to advance closer to the next city hall upgrade at all times, then you are doing good.

And speedup the Academy upgrades if you can. Since you can’t upgrade the Academy and research at the time.

How Fights Work

Pre-battle phase

Each fight consists of a pre-battle phase, then 8 rounds of combat.

In the pre-battle phase, many “Strategy” type skills apply their effects here. These could be buffs, debuffs, or status effects that aren’t active until later rounds.

Impasse

The fight ends when either commander loses all their troops. If both commanders still have troops after 8 rounds, an impasse occurs.

In an Impasse, your team will wait 1 minute and you can decide what to do:

Combat

During each round, the turn order for all units (your team and enemy team) is determined by each units individual speed.
During a units turn, it makes a normal attack, then rolls the probability for any Chase/Tactical skills to activate. Then it goes to the next fastest unit to have their turn. Once all units have their turn, proceed to the next round.

You can view the battle log to see the breakdown of a fight. Once you build a Library, you can use it to simulate battles.

Things to consider

The damage an enemy deals to you is largely based on their troop numbers. So lowering the number of enemy troops is the best way to protect yourself.

But it also helps to have a skill that gives you an advantage early on. There are many strong units or skills that give you the upper hand for the first 3 rounds, such as Pomon, Rhea, Saintess Shin SP, Dream Eater, Set Ambush, Hesitate or Undercurrent. If you have one of these, you can stay relatively safe in the first 3 rounds, while lowering the enemy troops considerably with your attacks.

Understanding Skill Descriptions

“Affected by X attribute”

Some skills are increased by a certain stat, which they specify in the skill description:

This means the effect of the skill is roughly multiplied for every 200 in the specified stat.

“Damage Coefficient X”

This describes how much damage you can expect a skill to do. A damage coefficient of 1.00 is the damage of your normal attack.

Strategy Skills (blue)

Skills that activate before a battle starts or during a specific round if that’s what the skill description says. These skills cannot be prevented using status effects.

Tactical skills (purple)

These skills have a probability of occurring every round when the unit has their turn.

Passive skills

These skills buff the skill holder and cannot be prevented using status effects.

Chase skills

These skills only have a chance to activate after the unit does their normal attack.

1 round preparation

Found on some Tactical skills. When the skill activates, it does not apply its effect until the start of the units next turn.

Counterattack

A unit with counterattack will strike back at any enemy that hits them with a normal attack.

“Aid”

A unit with aid will redirect any attacks on allied troops to itself.
Example: Rhea skill Star Shield

“Combo attack”

Unit must target the taunter with its normal attack. Does not apply if the unit is also in chaos.

In concentration/Immune

The unit will ignore any status effects on them during their turn. However, being immune does not remove status effects or prevent status effects from being applied on you.

Purify skills

Skills that remove status effects from allies.

Dispel skills

Skills that remove buffs or other positive effects from enemies.

But What Stats Does My Unit Have During a Battle

The basic calculation is Unit stats + Troop stats.

Can be increased by 4 ways:

Troop Stats

The troop stats are increased by many factors such as boosts from armour, technology, and titles before being added to the units stats.

You can check a units real stats by equipping a skill that increases their stats by a flat amount, and looking at the battle log. Since the battle log will tell you the amount that the stat was increased to.

Server 4 was opened with the steam release and is available to Steam and Mobile users.
Server 1, 2, and 3 are older servers accessible to Mobile users only.
I do not believe you can use a steam account on the mobile version or vice versa.

The cross server chat includes all 4 servers.
All in game chat has language translation available.

How to build a team

Commander role
– 25% less likely to be targetted by enemy normal attacks and skills
– You lose if your commander loses all their troops. You win if the enemy commander loses all their troops.

Because the commander is less likely to be attacked or hit by status effects, you usually want to put a DPS unit as your commander and use your 2 other units to support them.

For your other 2 units you usually want:
– A defensive/healing unit. Something like Pomon, Rhea, or Lafayette SP.
– A debuffing unit. Something like Slider SP, Moussika, or Saintess Shin.

But it really depends on what units and skills you got.

Eg: a unit with a 0.60 damage coefficient splash will deal 60% of their normal attack damage directly to the other 2 enemies, completely ignoring their defence.

Well if you ask me, it’s not really that bad but it needs a lot of polishing. I suggest this game if you like playing games like Rise of Kingdoms on mobile phone. This game is almost like Rise of Kingdom exactly but they were a little bit more innovative in terms of some base content and best part it’s on PC but it feels like a phone game to be really honest. What this game need to improve are:

HOTKEYS.
hotkeys are almost not present in this game which is really annoying as you have to click using your mouse to do everything. So i really hope in the future it will add more hotkeys so that playing the game feels more easier and using the keyboard way more more rather than the mouse since it’s a PC game not a mobile game. The only hotkey i found in this game was «ESC» which when you press it it will ask you whether you want to exit the game or not.

WARNINGS.
this game have an economy called gems which is to buy speedups and some other good stuff but it’s quite hard to get but it’s earnable. So sometimes it’s really annoying is that if you accidentally press something that require gems and it does not give you a single warning to confirm that purchase. So RIP gems that you have been saving. I really hope they add a confirmation button so that we don’t mistakenly press and feel depressed about it.

GRAPHICS.
Okay, graphic wise, withing the city, can be better but It’s already great enough and I’m satisfied enough with the graphics within the city only. BUT! when you go outside of the city, i feel that the objects are a bit oversize and does not look very good, i do hope you improve on it. Your character graphics are spot on, 5-star for it. But when we set them out, they don’t look really great and the troops they are leading are very plain and look very unmotivated. Needs improvement on that as well and hope the characters look as good as the picture shows.The world map feels like it’s 2D but i hope it’ll become 3D so it’s much much much nicer.

ANIMATIONS.
This is the worst part i would say, the animations it’s either it’s ugly or none at all. I hope in the future you would make better animations especially on our character skills. The movement of our troops feels very awkward as well maybe because they are really oversize on the map. I hope more effect will be added on to the game so that the game feels much more exiting and makes me want to play even more. I understand it was a mobile game before but now your trying to port over to PC which i will give my full support on because I’ve been waiting for this kind of game on this PC for the longest time but i would suggest making a whole different feel because PC can handle and use more RAM than phone. EVEN PHONE nowadays can handle as much RAM as a PC can so I don’t see why not upgrade the graphics and animation to a whole new level.

TUTORIALS.
Tutorial feel like a job that was in a rush. The explanation was not very clear and a misclick could end up missing a chat bubble which is required to understand it better. I hope more clearer explanation and guidance is put into the game so more players can experience a wonderful time.

EXTRAS.
overall, a pretty good game, i do really hope and wish that this game will become something like Rise of Kingdom which have good graphics, good animation, good optimization, nice feel, nice mechanics, and and most importantly great content. I don’t know what will this game become in the future, but i will be playing till it becomes one of the games that i have ever played. I do suggest rebuilding it on Unreal Engine 5 to make it better graphically, and better optimize. Do advertise this game as well because i think it’s need a lot more populations but it’s still on early access so I don’t blame developers on anything. Hope you guys keep up the good work and focus more resources on this game because i personally think it’ll be a great game.

Chinese/English Discord Server And Random Things

Note: it is known as «Lord of the Other World» on Mobile.

The recent steam release has re-titled it as «Trip in Another World»

Server 4 was opened with the steam release and is available to Steam and Mobile users.

Server 1, 2, and 3 are older servers accessible to Mobile users only.

I do not believe you can use a steam account on the mobile version or vice versa.

The cross server chat includes all 4 servers.

All in game chat has language translation available.

How To Build A Team

A team has 1 Commander unit and 2 other units.

— 25% less likely to be targetted by enemy normal attacks and skills

— You lose if your commander loses all their troops. You win if the enemy commander loses all their troops.

Because the commander is less likely to be attacked or hit by status effects, you usually want to put a DPS unit as your commander and use your 2 other units to support them.

For your other 2 units you usually want:

— A defensive/healing unit. Something like Pomon, Rhea, or Lafayette SP.

— A debuffing unit. Something like Slider SP, Moussika, or Saintess Shin.

But it really depends on what units and skills you got.

What troop to use

Each unit on your team can be assigned one type of troops.

Archers: ok movespeed, high attack, low health, low defence, low destruction

Best for DPS commander

Infantry: ok movespeed, low attack, high health, ok defence, low destruction.

Use on your other 2 units if you have healing on your team. healing is more effective on troops with higher health.

Cavalry: fast movespeed, ok attack, ok defence, ok health, low destruction.

Use on your other 2 units if they still deal decent damage, or you just want to move fast.

Siege: slow movespeed, ok attack, low defence, ok health, high destruction

Could use siege on debuffers. but they are so slow that maybe its better not to use them at all.

You start with tier 1 troops, and you can use the Academy to research higher tiers. Always research higher tier archers first to make killing enemies easier.

Academy And Research

The academy is used to research different technologies that improve your resource gathering, troops, and trade.

Just like any other building, it needs to be upgraded along with your city hall.

When you are upgrading the academy, you cannot research anything so it is best to use building speedups to instantly upgrade your Academy, so that you can always be researching.

You should rush the research speed and building speed technologies. It is the best long term strategy.

It’s not worth researching technologies that increase resource gathering or production, since you can make a second account and use it to send resources to yourself if you ever run low.

Build Order

Focus on levelling up your city hall. Each city hall level requires you to level up the following:

1) Dwelling to the same level as your city hall (ONLY 1)

4) get 1 other building to the same level as your city hall (a different pre-determined building at each city hall level)

You have 2 building queues available.

Try to use 1 queue to progress through step 1, 2, and 3.

Use your other queue to progress step 4.

Hopefully they both take roughly the same amount of time, but sometimes the step 4 building requires other buildings to be upgraded too.

As long as you are using both building queues to advance closer to the next city hall upgrade at all times, then you are doing good.

And speedup the Academy upgrades if you can. Since you can’t upgrade the Academy and research at the time.

How Fights Work

Each fight consists of a pre-battle phase, then 8 rounds of combat.

In the pre-battle phase, many «Strategy» type skills apply their effects here. These could be buffs, debuffs, or status effects that aren’t active until later rounds.

The fight ends when either commander loses all their troops. If both commanders still have troops after 8 rounds, an impasse occurs.

In an Impasse, your team will wait 1 minute and you can decide what to do:

1) Wait a full minute, then your team will do another 8 round fight with the enemy

2) Leave the impasse to heal your troops back home

3) Leave the impasse, then make your troops attack again. Skipping the 1 minute wait time.

*Impasse functionality slightly changes in different game modes

During each round, the turn order for all units (your team and enemy team) is determined by each units individual speed.

During a units turn, it makes a normal attack, then rolls the probability for any Chase/Tactical skills to activate. Then it goes to the next fastest unit to have their turn. Once all units have their turn, proceed to the next round.

The normal attack targets 1 enemy randomly and deals damage to that enemy.

Skills that target enemies will target random enemies unless they specifically say otherwise.

Skills that target allies will target random allies unless they specifically say otherwise.

You can view the battle log to see the breakdown of a fight.

Once you build a Library, you can use it to simulate battles.

Things to consider

The damage an enemy deals to you is largely based on their troop numbers. So lowering the number of enemy troops is the best way to protect yourself.

Understanding Skill Descriptions

Affected by X attribute

Some skills are increased by a certain stat, which they specify in the skill description.

This means the effect of the skill is roughly multiplied for every 200 in the specified stat.

Damage Coefficient X

This describes how much damage you can expect a skill to do. A damage coefficient of 1.00 is the damage of your normal attack.

Strategy Skills (blue)

Skills that activate before a battle starts or during a specific round if that’s what the skill description says. These skills cannot be prevented using status effects.

Tactical skills (purple)

These skills have a probability of occurring every round when the unit has their turn.

These skills buff the skill holder and cannot be prevented using status effects.

These skills only have a chance to activate after the unit does their normal attack.

1 round preparation

Found on some Tactical skills. When the skill activates, it does not apply its effect until the start of the units next turn.

A unit with counterattack will strike back at any enemy that hits them with a normal attack.

Example: Pomon skill Spirit Flame

A unit with aid will redirect any attacks on allied troops to itself.

Example: Rhea skill Star Shield

Some units and skills let a unit do their normal attack twice in one round. Chase skills can also activate on both normal attacks.

Example: Mia skill Divine Punishment

Healing Coefficient X

Similar to damage coefficient, just for healing skills instead.

Blocks the first instance of damage a unit receives.

«Your own troops»

If a skill has this text, the effect relates only to the unit holding the skill

Example: Zoe SP skill Spiritbound

A skill that affects two allies randomly will say «2 of our troops»

A skill that affects all 3 allies will say «3 of our troops»

Burning or Spell damage

skills with this text damage the enemy before they take their turn.

Gain a strong attack. with real damage

This text means after any normal attack or damage dealt by a skill, the unit will deal a fixed amount of damage based only on the units troop numbers and actual attack the unit has during a battle (see last section for how that is determined).

Skills that deal damage multiple times, will also activate the fixed damage every hit.

Example: Patra skill Ghost Bone.

Normal attacks will also Splash

The damage from your normal attack will also be dealt as a percentage to the other 2 enemy units. The percentage that is dealt, depends on the damage coefficient of the Splash skill.

Eg: a unit with a 0.60 damage coefficient splash will deal 60% of their normal attack damage directly to the other 2 enemies, completely ignoring their defence.

For example: 4 star Slider skill Red Blade

Status Effects

Unit cannot normal attack

Unit cannot use tactical skills

It’s like disarm + silence.

Makes a units normal attack and tactical/chase skills target completely randomly.

State of forbidden healing/treatment

Unit cannot be healed

Unit must target the taunter with its normal attack. Does not apply if the unit is also in chaos

The unit will ignore any status effects on them during their turn. However, being immune does not remove status effects or prevent status effects from being applied on you.

Skills that remove status effects from allies

Skills that remove buffs or other positive effects from enemies

But What Stats Does My Unit Have During A Battle

The basic calculation is Unit stats + Troop stats.

Can be increased by 4 ways.

1) Levelling up your units. Each stat has a different growth and increases by that amount each level.

2) Adding stats manually. You get 1 stat point per level, which you can assign to any stat. You also get 10 stat points for each Advance, which requires dupes of the unit.

3) Increasing the units favourability can increase all stats by up to 30.

4) Race effect: +3% to all stats if your team has 2 units from the same race. +5% to all stats if your team has 3 units from the same race.

The troop stats are increased by many factors such as boosts from armour, technology, and titles before being added to the units stats.

You got to the end of the guide, so now you get a nice picture. It shows you roughly how the attack of a unit is determined during a battle.

Trapped in Another World

A standard plot/Myth Arc for Speculative Fiction: The Ordinary High-School Student, frequently their friends, and sometimes their enemies are all transported (often summoned) to another world distant planet, a Magical Land, Alternate Universe, the past, The Future where they find they have an important role to play in Events of Significance that are occurring at the same time as (or sometimes because of) their arrival. Usually there is no hope of their finding a means to return home until after the great threat facing them has been defeated. Occasionally, they will then question if they even want to leave, especially when there is an ongoing Fantastic Romance. These stories often feature alternate methods of bringing the protagonist to the new world, such as Reincarnation, swapping bodies with an inhabitant of the new world, or becoming their own video game avatar, though simple bodily transport is still common.

In Japanese media, this is known as «Isekai», note Literally «Another World» with such protagonists typically being their local demographic’s flavor of hero, note Stock Light Novel Heroes are common, though their Shonen and Shoujo counterparts are just as prominent and usually involves said character gaining RPG-like powers on arrival (or at the very least, is set in a Role-Playing Game ‘Verse). Though it’s been around in many forms of media long before the term was coined, the majority of isekai stories as we know it are derived from Web Serial Novels or old stories reworked into Light Novels, with their premises and writing style even being noted as a subgenre: Narou Isekai. note From Shosetsuka ni Narou, a popular online fiction website A lot of these are also Harem Series, to the extent that a party of sexy heroines (or heroes) who are attracted to the protagonist has become part of the standard formula. During the 2010s, these types of stories became so popular thanks to Japanese publishing companies like Alphapolis and Media Factory that, by the end of the decade, it had become an Undead Horse Trope: being parodied, subverted and even ridiculed to hell and back, while straight-forward examples still remain very much present.

In Literature, this is often referred to as a «Portal Fantasy». This plot device is also extremely popular in Crossover events, as it’s a good way of bringing together disparate settings in a semi-logical manner.

If it’s the hero’s job to bring back a trapped person, it can become an Orphean Rescue; while if someone else turns up to bring back the hero, it’s Weirdness Search and Rescue.

The inversion of this, where a person from the other world comes to ours, often inverts the premise along with it: Whereas an Earth hero usually gets called over to where the action is, the Otherworldly hero is usually transported where the action isn’t, or becomes the action when they get there.

Super-Trope to Portal Book, Portal Picture, Summon Everyman Hero, Fourth Wall Shut-In Story and Trapped in TV Land. Often overlaps with Down the Rabbit Hole, Fish out of Water, and You Can’t Go Home Again. But if returning home is a goal, then there’s overlap with There’s No Place Like Home. When returning home proves to be relentlessly mundane and you wish you’d stayed in the magic world, it’s So What Do We Do Now?. This trope is the inverse of Alien Among Us.

Compare with Kidnapped by the Call. Contrast with Constructed World, which doesn’t involve present-day Earth at all. For generic types of other dimensions, see Another Dimension. See also The Homeward Journey. For the reincarnation flavor of this plot, see Reincarnate in Another World or if the new world was fictional in universe Media Transmigration. If the protagonist is lucky, it comes with a New Life in Another World Bonus.

I really want to enjoy this game but the grinding for money is honestly just atrocious, it just takes way too long. I honestly finished most of the content but the remaining content I have to literally just wait for. I mean I need 5000 more gold in the treasury and get 300 in a day, that’s way too long. and that’s not even mentioning the fact that you only get 20 personal gold per week which is completely asinine and damaging to your system.

On a separate note I hope further into this game we find a way to sort of reverse roles on the queen and Sara, hell Beatrice too. That would be soooooo satisfying.

This comment is regarding the current version 0.0.3.

First and foremost the concept is intriguing. Current execution does not do justice to the concept though.

Every day 300 gold is given for upgrades. This really doesn’t work short or long term in the game. This is mainly because the upgrades do not matter. The most any of them do is unlock additional scenes. Normally only 1 scene is behind each upgrade. Larger cost upgrades don’t feel worth it because of this. changes that effect the «world» such as changing you income either positively or negatively could put a greater depth to this system. Also factoring in royalties and commoners happiness/needs would also add significantly more depth to this part of the gameplay.

The other issue is the lack of content with characters. Right now about 40 days in game are needed to max out the current building needed to get all scenes. Unfortunantly there are only about 30 days holding any content at most currently. After the initial 15 days periods where you just skip certain sections occur because nothing can fill in that point. You have some repeatable scenes but they only occur in the bar in the evening or at the home at night. More being added could help patch this issue as could adding in new repeatable events with random rewards which could be used in some situations.

On the technical side your X button for the inventory menu was difficult to see at times.

All of this said I am looking forward to how you further develop this game.

I’m liking the game so far. There is an «extras» option on the main menu that crashes the game when you try to go through its empty pages.

Yeah, for now «extras» doesn’t work. I’ll make it in the next version.

I’m very early on into your game (day 3).
And I understand this is an extremely early version of the game.
But I simply wanted to give my two cents of what I think so far.

I love the music, it’s peaceful and not obnoxious.
The characters that I’ve met thus far seem decent enough.
Even Sarah and the creature at the church (her name escapes me).

I do not know how much actual content is in this current version 0.03.
But I hope it doesn’t end too quickly, as I am enjoying the experience thus far.

Keep up the good work.
I will continue following this game.
And look forward to seeing what future updates have in store.

i looooooooooooooooooved the gameeeeeeeee. keep up the good work my friend. i found an error on eva, theres nothing more to talk to her, and the game says i have to talk to her. Although i loved it and im going for the 0.0.3 version now, hope u get some time to do android on this, love u!

Could you describe the error a little bit more?
At what point does it occur?

I was really excited by the new update, but unfortunately it seems I can’t load any of my previous saves. Ren’Py gives me an error every time. Rollback does nothing, and «ignore» just sends me to the very beginning of the game. I don’t wanna have to start over.

If you wanna see the error log I can pastebin it for you, I’d be happy to help however I can. It also errors when trying to do any of the «Extras.»

Yeah, I wrote about this in the change log. Unfortunately the old saves wonвЂ™t work, because I had to completely remake the game. I’m sorry for that. But the good news is that all the old events have somehow been redesigned. Affection system was reworked, so there is now less grind in the game. When the time comes to release version 0.0.4 saves from 0.0.3 will work properly.

Well I only played most of the beginning, (really couldnt get into it with its early development) but feel it as some problems.

Anyway, dont want to tattle on to long and be too negative, but I understand its still early development and it really needs time to be polished, so wish you good luck with it. 🙂
