It was assumed by Leylin that the islands was as big as the Eurasian Continent, there are almost no Magi in here except for some acolytes and some wandering magi, as the resources and elemental particles in this island are too scarce.

South Coast [ ]

A ‘continent’ that was isolated from the Central Continent, due to harsh paths where even Rank 3 Magus cannot pass through, and that the elemental particle density of this place is too scarce as compared to the Central Continent, and so Morning Star Magi never got interested in the South Coast.

A part of the first level Subterranean World, which was isolated due to a battle between Rank 4 Morning Star Magi, destroying the path between the Subterranean World and Twilight Zone.

Central Continent [ ]

The biggest continent of the surface of the Magus World, the continent has an abundance of elemental energy, and materials that allow a lot of magus to advance. The place is quickly regaining its power, from before the Ancient Final War due to the explorations of the Astral Plane, as there have been multiple Rank 6 Breaking Dawn Magus appearing here and there.

First Level Subterrarean World [ ]

The first level of the Subterrarean World is a place whose land mass and elemental particle density is on par with the Central Continent.

Rank 7 and higher beings in the Magus world all lives at the depth of the magus world near the core because the closer they are at the will of the magus world the more benefits they can get in terms of law understanding. Laylen was given the position of ruler of the surface of the magus world after he was promoted to peak rank 6. There are 7 levels below the surface each with different rulers all rank 7 and above.

Чернокнижник в Мире Магов — Похождения ИИ чипа и его органического придатка

Привет. Сегодня у нас в меню большой обзор, на столь же большую лайт новеллу (в ней 1200 глав, на минуточку). Выводы, для тех, кто не хочет читать вcю статью целиком, будут в конце.

Я хотел найти что-то большое, объёмное, монументальное и в тоже время спорное. Что-то, что было популярным и обсуждаемым, хотя бы на момент своего выхода. Кроме того, хотелось взять на разбор что-то, что действительно заставило бы пошевелить мозгами и разобраться в своих ощущениях от прочитанного, и, кажется это «что-то», я таки нашел.

Написал «Чернокнижка» китаец Вэн Чао Гун (Wen Chao Gong) c говорящим никнемом The Plagiarist (Плагиатор), что, честно говоря, даже на самоиронию не потянет, и позже я расскажу почему. Что у нас, что в англонете лайт новелла обрела не хилую популярность, была опубликована на множестве ресурсов и успела много где заиметь собственные подфорумы, где разворачивались срач и драма внушительных масштабов. На тот же NovelUpdates из 2800 проголосовавших, 60% поставили книжке 5 баллов, что показательно.

Прикол в том, что местный главный «герой», штука не однозначная. Даже после беглого анализа остаётся стойкое ощущение не достаточной полноты картины. С одной стороны персонаж прописан и действует более чем логично, а с другой во время чтения, ты подсознательно ощущаешь какие-то нестыковки. И это при том, что отдельные детали лайт новеллы выглядят более чем пристойно. Пожалуй, кроме завязки, которая весьма типична для всех китайских поделок.

Нашего новоявленного китайского попаданца зовут Фан Мин и он ученый с Земли. Причем не простой, а особо продвинутый, из будущего. В этом самом будущем многие деятели науки имеют зашитый в башку ИИ Чип – суперкомпьютер, помогающий в научной деятельности.

В базовой комплектации, этот совершенно не имбовый девайс мог хранить до 10 000 лет событий считываемых с чувств носителя. Позже, эта штука самооснастится встроенным микроскопом, рентгеном, газоанализатором, биолабораторией и прочими хипстерскими приблудами.

В один знаменательный день заведение, где работал Фан Мин, решает провести некий неназываемый эксперимент по исследованию антиматерии, процесс которого со звонким прихлопыванием накрывается понятно каким органом, а вместе с ним и само здание со всеми, кто был внутри. Просыпается недоученый уже в средневековой повозке, катящейся в неведомые дали навстречу безграничным жизненным перспективам с веселыми попутчиками, которые пытались выпилить предыдущего владельца тела, причем весьма успешно.

Предыдущего владельца органической перемещалки сюжета в пространстве звали Лейлин Фэйлер. Катился двенадцатилетний Лейлин в неведомые дали не просто так, а c великой целью – стать Магом, с большой буквы «Ме». Все дело в том, что особых таланов он вообще к чему-либо не имел, за исключением хождения по бабам, поэтому даже если бы он стал самым дохлым Магом среди других Магов, это уже можно было бы считать за величайшее достижение в его жизни.

Иными словами, Фан Мину досталось в распоряжение тушка идеально клиента для загрузки в биореактор. Все согласно традициям китайской литературы, хорошо хоть этот додик себе меридианы в детстве не сжег, и то лишь потому, что в этом китайском фэнтези их тупо не существует. Без особого стартового набора, будущего человека-катастрофу выпускать в новый мир было нельзя, потому автор снабдил своего имбочку особым девайсом из его прошлой жизни – ИИ чипом. Как я говорил, начало в книге без особых изысков, в отличие от деталей мира.

С чем в книге все хорошо, так это с построения вселенной книги и ее демонстрации. В этой лайт новелле каждый из миров (а тут их множество) обладает собственной Волей, незримой силой, благоволящей существам, рожденным в этом мире и подавляющей магическую силу всех понаехавших иномирцев.

Мир Магов и Мир Богов являются крупнейшими в своем роде и обладают собственными мощнейшими Волями и системами развития. В одном мире ставка делается на культивацию собственного пути в одно рыло, тогда как во втором на силу верующих, генерируемую ими силу веры и поддержку божественных территорий.

Во вселенной ЧММ, помимо Мира Магов и Мира Богов, существует еще один крупный мир и целая россыпь по мельче, и как минимум все большие и 3 малые Лейлин успеет почтить своим присутствием, плюс еще на два в пол глаза взглянет. Каждый из них уникален и имеет свои системы развития.

Далеко не все системы в разных мирах имеют вменяемо прописанные требования для достижения того либо иного уровня, далеко не всегда понятно, как между собой соотносятся ранги разных миров по силе. Также автор сам часто забывает, как эти силы соотносились между собой пару глав назад, но система хотя бы работает, уже хорошо.

Всего в новелле от 5 до 20 с чем-то разных систем, смотря как считать. Этого достаточно для демонстрации разницы между мирами и некоторого культурного многообразия, но многие классы, не смотря на свое частое упоминание, не получают развития.

Из негативных моментов стоит отметить деградацию деталей каждого нового ранга в различных системах развития. Так система культивации для послушников в Мире Магов, включающая в себя несколько этапов с формированием рун в море сознания, выглядит на порядок полнее на фоне 6-7 ранга. Там просто основное условие сводится к дубовому «постигай законы мира и будет все ОК».

Локации, посещаемые Лейлином, довольно разнообразны и различаются примерно в той же степени, что и сами миры. Т.е. если у нас есть бедные на ресурсы Чернобыльские острова (да, так в переводе и написано, можете в экран так не смотреть), то они так и будут продемонстрированы, как безлюдное место. Мир Лавы же будет выглядеть как огненная пустыня, где комфортно только элементалям, да местной разновидности верблюжьей колючки, а остальным только и остается, что магический кондиционер покупать за дорого. Насыщенные магическими частицами районы, по типу того же центрального континента, будет просто изобиловать природными ресурсами, что будет на прямую отраженно как в силе местных Магов, так и в качестве жизни обычных человеков.

Второе проблема заключается в том, что описания часто схематичны и присутствуют лишь для самого базового описания места действия. Например, тут у нас «многочисленные Охотники на Дьяволов уже поджидали врага за оборонительными сооружениями», а вот там были небольшие дебри в землях виконта, а вот здесь условный пляж с таким же условным описанием. Правда, иногда встречаются и исключения, когда автор сподабливается о чем-то рассказать по подробнее, расписав как выглядит сцена на целый абзац, но это все еще будет набор констатаций состояний уровня «деревянный стул стоял тут».

Некоторые вещи вовсе остаются за кадром, например, как выглядят сыновья Лейлина, вы узнаете примерно никогда, несмотря на то, что эти персонажи упоминаются и не раз, а фразы по типу «черные дыры, расплавляющие все» и «легендарный поток данных» вовсе должны быть добавлены во всей толковые словари для примера слову «абсурд». Понятное дело, что такие абстракции использованы в угоду динамике повествования, а автор как раз-таки предпочитает действия вместо описаний, но всему же должен быть предел. Все эти вещи значительно снижают потенциальную литературную ценность книжки, заставляя смещать фокус внимания на другие вещи, с которыми далеко не все гладко.

Всякое окологуманоидное и не очень представлено в самом широком спектре, ибо тут есть как стандартная фэнтезяшная шушара, по типу темных эльфов и тех эльфов, что посветлее, так и чуть более экзотическая, по типу Созерцателей и стремных пятируких существ из племени Кварков. Автор, конечно, пытался придумать какой-то оригинальный быт каждой расе, как-то обозначить государственный строй для тех же Эмберлингов и остальных обитателей вышеупомянутого Мира Лавы в частности, но по факту они не сильно далеко уходят от стандартного человеческого общества.

Лейлин безжалостен и хладнокровен. С одной стороны, это хорошо. Такие персонажи в лайт новеллах явление не частое, и еще реже они доказывают на деле, что они из себя представляют. Но дело в том, что этих качество мало, чтобы быть полноценным персонажем. Важно то, как персонаж проявляет себя в деталях, в мелких жизненных ситуациях. Также важно то, какие эмоции испытывает персонаж, когда творит зло или добро. Благодаря этому можно оценить какую ценность имеют для персонажа совершаемые им действия. А если действия ценны для персонажа, то они ценны и для читателя, а значит за персонажем интересно следить, чтобы он не делал.

Сразу откинем те вещи, которые вроде как в порядке, это эмоциональные и поведенческие реакции. Лейлин вполне умеет закатывать глаза, притрагиваться к подбородку, лыбится, чесать нос и совершать прочие действия ногоруками, когда это необходимо. Также он вполне умеет смущаться, бледнеть, впадать в ярость, а также по ситуации опционально откладывать кирпичи, разной степени фактурности. Т.е. тут есть хотя бы это.

Проблема в том, что отношениях с людьми ГГ руководствуется строго бинарным мышлением, либо этот человек мне полезен, либо нет, либо ты сильнее меня, либо ты мусор. Буквально другие вещи его не интересуют. Кроме того, важность имеет только уровень силы в текущий момент, а все предыдущие достижения, уровень силы в прошлом, авторитет, опыт и прочее является пустым звуком. Более того, кандидатом поселится у помоечки, может быть даже маг, который сильнее самого Лейлина, лишь по той причине, что тот не смог за 10 000 лет (а тут это приличный срок) найти идеальное решение проблемы, перепробовав все доступные ему способы, при этом, не имея ИИ чипа в черепе, как некоторые.

Лейлин банально не испытывает каких-либо чувств к людям. Даже негативных. Старик, который оказывал всяческую поддержку юному послушнику, будет отправлен вперед в роли пушечного мяса. Женщина, с которой он провел несколько лет под одной крышей, так и не оставила никакого следа в его душе, как и та, кто была его подчиненным на протяжении целых сотен лет. Автор просто в лоб заявит, что Лейлин к ним ничего не чувствует.

Его протеже, с которым тот провел около десятка лет, которого он самолично нанял и обучал, окажется лишь домашним животным, с которым ему было весело забавляется. Он мог одним словом защитить этого протеже перед другим магом, но не стал этого делать, ведь все в этом мире делается «ради преимуществ» (с)тм (автор очень любит делать на этом акцент. Такие цитаты только в золоте отливать как по мне). Скажу больше, этот же протеже уже позже будет зарезан на правах особо ценного ресурса для новой магической фенечки Лейлина.

Уничтожение поселений, городов, народов и целых цивилизаций не будет вызывать какого-либо отклика в нем и будет лишь очередным шагом на пути к его сомнительной цели. Кроме того, после очередного акта геноцида, автор может на пару глав начать распинаться, дескать на самом то деле, среди добрых персонажей все тоже поехавшие, но в отличие от них, у ГГ были причины чтобы изничтожить ту цивилизацию, причем большие. Т.е. автор тратит существенные объёмы текста на оправдание действий Лейлина, вместо того, чтобы изначально прописать мотивацию персонажа.

Складывается впечатление, что Лейлин живет в каком-то своем мире, который разительно отличается от мира самой книги. Так, что автор, что сам Лейлин утверждают, мол в этом мире единственной мерой всего является сила и обладающий ею определяет все, кто живет, кто умирает и тэ дэ. Как и в любой другой китайской лайт новелле.

На любое возможное проявление эмпатии Лейлин заявляет, что мир суров, это не нужно и «такова реальность» (с)тм. Кроме того, абсолютно все в этом мире помешаны на том, как эту самую силу обрести, а вместе с ней и потенциальное бессмертие, тогда как остальные аспекты человеческого существования, такие как мораль и этика не имеют значения вовсе.

Но это банально не так. Глядя на клан чернокнижников, ты понимаешь, что родословная и социальные обряды имеют очень существенное значение, многие этому же самому клану мстят по своим причинам даже несмотря на то, что никогда не смогут их победить. Глядя на то, в какое отчаяние впадают отцы, когда главный герой с особым усердием укакошивает их сыновей ты понимаешь, что родственные связи в этом мире также в ходу.

С эмоциями персонажа разобрались. Автор решил превратить его в бесчувственное бревно, но он ведь должен был это сделать не просто так, правда ведь? Бревно должно служить какой-то цели, двигать сюжет вперед. Делать его интересным с точки зрения процесса. Попробуем зайти с этой стороны, ведь 1200 глав автор написал не просто так?

Лейлин прагматичен и всегда выбирает исключительно верные решения и исключительно те, которые важны в текущий момент. Само собой, этому способствует наличие такой маленькой детали, как суперкомпьютер, зашитый в черепную коробку, с помощью которого гнуть местных аборигенов становится на порядки сподручнее. Серьезно, если считать главным героем того, кому больше все приходится корячится в книге, то это будет именно эта железяка и местами за прокачкой чипа следить интереснее, чем за главным героем.

Чаще всего Лейлин отдает команды формата «тут несколько разных методов усиления древних магов, каждый из них заполнен хорошо, если на половину, а вот этот вообще не читабелен. Чип, слухай сюды. Ты берешь их, исследуешь, комбинируешь, даешь мне готовый результат, который я могу на себе применить». Наука это крутого и легко, еееей! В моменты же когда пахнет жаренным слабый мозг Лейлина уходит в глухой тротлинг, и ему только и остаётся, что орать «ИИ чип сделай хорошо» и железяка делает, что характерно. И выход с поля боя подскажет, нарисовав идеальный вариант сражения, и точную модель заклинания в мозг подгрузит без необходимости тратить целые года на тренировки и освоение, и систему безопасности перехватит, отменив поднятие тревоги.

Своими всеми достижениями недоученый почти полностью обязан вундер девайсу, которые сам Лейлин, естественно, воспринимает как свои собственные. Да что уж говорить, даже наглым образом воруемые у других высших существ «законы» (понимание законов природы, грубо говоря), он потом воспринимает как результат своего собственного многовекового труда.

Использование ИИ чипа логично, более чем. Но его использования столь же логично, что и испепеление племени зулусов с копьями при помощи бесконечного запаса термобарических ракет. Ввод подобного девайса в книгу и его использование может быть сколь угодно логичным и логически обоснован, но он будет столь же безвкусен.

Вкупе с Лейлиновским идеальным и всегда правильным принятием решений это формирует доспех сюжета надежнее, чем стены Форт-Нокс. Лейлин всегда выигрывает, а если ему не хватает данных для ИИ Чипа, то он не сражается в принципе, а значит, он всегда выигрывает. Факт того, что Лейлин оказывается невероятно хитрым и умным персонажем, который способен обманывать даже тех существ, которые десятки тысяч лет варились в котле интриг и обмана – пропустим.

Из этого все вытекает последний вопрос. А является ли Лейлин человеком? Это важный вопрос, т.к. когда мы читаем или смотрим за действиями персонажа со стороны, мы невольно переносим его действия на себя. И если читатель не проникается к нему, то значит на этапе проектирования персонажа автор допустил фатальную ошибку.

Самой сильной эмоцией Лейлина, является страх смерти, наверное. По крайней мере этим можно объяснить его стремление к бессмертию. Еще он не против секса, повышения собственной силы, властью он буквально упивается, обожает угнетать слабых, он надменен, эгоистичен и высокомерен, но на этом как бы все. И это, не говоря об отсутствии развития Лейлина как персонажа.

Персонажа банально не за что любить. Все его потуги не служат какой-либо глобальной цели, а желание бессмертия вещь абстрактная, это не цель. Особенно когда это желание ничем не подкреплено. Он ни к кому и ни к чему не привязан, даже процесс геноцида целых миров с его подачи обставлен таким образом, чтобы его действия не вызывали ничего, кроме скуки, недоумения или даже отторжения.

Автор выбрал себе ник «Плагиатор» и это буквально то, что он делает. Он самым наглым образом берет идеи из других источников, прикручивает их к своей лайт новелле, даже не меняя названия. Так, он втупую скопировал наименования демонов из Dungeon&Dragons, даже не потрудившись описать, как они выглядят, просто перечислив названия и начав использовать их по поводу и без. Не говоря о самой концепции Баатора, которая была свиснута как есть.

Факты, перечисленные в обзоре, могут показаться очевидными, но штука в том, что во время чтения ты их не замечаешь. Ты просто испытываешь дискофморт, но о его причинах начинаешь догадываться, только хотя бы некоторое время подумав над книжкой. Автор может и попытался создать что-то, отличное от типичных китайских текстов, но действительно чего-то оригинального и самобытного в этой лайт новелле не так уж и много, а если и есть, то оно было уничтожено отвратной реализацией. И тем более удивительно, что лайт новелла зашла столь многим людям.

Концовку автор слил подчистую. Он должен был в последней главе описать весь тот путь, который проделал главный герой, описать последнюю битву, рассказать про то, как завершились пути всех сюжетно важных персонажей и прочие важные вещи. Но он не стал этого делать. У него просто сильнейшие персонажи всей книги будут умирать буквально за одно предложение, а о дальнейшей судьбе других персонажей он практически ничего не расскажет.

Поначалу это произведение кажется чем-то стоящим, но после полного прочтения оно полностью разочаровывает, т.к. тебя, как читателя, не хотят поощрять хотя бы за потраченное тобой время. Не говоря уже о денежных вложениях, если ты главы покупал в онгоинге. Последние сотни глав приходилось просто проматывать, просто чтобы узнать концовку. Кстати, по интернету гуляют не отредактированные главы с рулейта, так что если нарветесь на них, то пеняйте на себя, ибо это чистая работа Гугл Переводчика.

К прочтению не рекомендуется т.к. питательная ценность данного произведения, не смотря на объём, весьма сомнительная. Это не «Пространственный Властитель» (которого я обозревал ранее), но что-то неумолимо приближающееся к нему.

Приведу пример персонажа с тем же элайметом «Законопослушный Злой» (термин из Dungeon&Dragons), которым автор ЧММ окрестил Лейлина. Возьму пример из кинематографа, так как из книжек мне никто на ум не приходит. Ниган из сериала «Ходячие Мертвецы».

Умен, свиреп, угнетает физически, страшный, иногда неуместно веселый. Ниган практичен, отменно выстраивает стратегию, а еще это просто очень опасный человек. В своей группе поддерживает строгую дисциплину. Весьма недурно разбирается в людях, сразу выявляет сильных личностей и пытается переманить их на свою сторону, иногда успешно.

При том он труслив, когда дело пахнет керосином, и он без зазрения совести прикроется кем угодно, чтобы спасти себя любимого. Ниган мыслит стратегически и в виде исключения готов проявлять милосердие и не карать за преступления против его группы. Самое главное, у него есть и некоторые моральные принципы. Например, он не терпит изнасилований женщин и жестоко карает за это, а его «жёны» попадают в его гарем добровольно, польстившись на привилегированное положение.

Не то, что бы я этот сериал смотрел сам и рекомендовал бы к просмотру, бегите от него нафиг, но могу точно сказать, что именно этот персонаж был тем, ради чего я конкретно эти сезоны хотя бы в пол глаза глянул. Как по мне, на фоне Нигана Лейлин выглядит нелепо.

It is a serpent that upon reaching maturity, is on par with a Radiant Moon Magi. [1] The first Alabaster Devilsnake that appeared is on Chapter 667. It is rumored to be a descendant of the Snake Dowager that inherited the Dowager’s inherent talent over dreamforce. This particular snake likes to torture its prey in their dreams before digesting them.

Black bear humanoids—upright creatures with animal skins around their waists as well as other accessories.

Black Horrall Snake [ ]

This snake is an extremely dangerous being. It is a descendant of the Giant Kemoyin Serpents, which is known to contain tremendous might and an astonishing life force.

Its known abilities are Scales Defense, a defensive force field on their scales, indestructible by attacks under 5 degrees. As well as Shadow Stealth a powerful stealth ability. And Lightning blaze a lightning flame strike with as estimated degree of attack of 12 to 15 degrees.

Demon Tree [ ]

Appeared with its Tree sprite in a symbiotic relationship where the sprites attract the prey with their charm and the tree kills the prey with its vines. One of these trees blocked Leylin’s path when journeying from the academy, It was Named DORIS and was latter transformed due to a potion and sent after him.

Dragons [ ]

Are a very powerful race in the World of Gods. It is said that once dragons adult dragons gain some intelligence, they would enslave other members of their race, and the terrifying Ancient Dragons could intimidate entire races. The highest of their race is an Ancient Dragon, which are said to be as strong as True Gods.

The only dragon we meet in the series are Red Dragons.

Dwarves [ ]

Appeared as a rank 4 wind warrior magi with bow. [2]

Elves [ ]

Various elves species exists, often enslaved. They have have attractive slender bodies with pointy ears.

Dark elves adapted to the special conditions of the twilight zone and harbor a very pale skin tone. Their matriarchs dress in dominatrix leather clothes and have a vampiric meditation technique that requires regular absorption of life force.

Wind elves are becoming rarer. They are hard to distinguish from regular elves for uninformed people.

There are also species like the moon elves and gold elves too.

Comes from the Ice World.

Giant Fire Elementals [ ]

Appeared as a clan, with a rank 4 elder, [3] in the lava world. Appeared as a rank 5 wandering monster [4] in Blazing Fire Monarch’s Alanore Labyrinth on the Fiery World.

Giant Kemoyin Serpent [ ]

Ancient and giant snake that is one of the descendants of the Snake Dowager.

Gnomes [ ]

A technologically advanced species, whose technology somewhat resembles steampunk items.

Great Withering Snake Mankestre [ ]

A large brown yellow snake, descended from The Giant Kemoyin Serpent, that becomes a 100 meters long in adult form. A Mankestre is able to develop an extremely strong parasite in its body, and spread it to other organisms, making them its underlings. In any areas where a Mankestre has passed by, the plants will die, and become a type of nutrient for the Mankestre. An adult Mankestre possesses the strength of an official Magus, and can transform an entire forest into withering ashes.

Green creatures holding multi-colour staffs with different ores and gems embedded into them.

A rare evolved form of the Giant Kemoyin Serpent. Possess a great strength and magical ability. Having broken through their original limits to enter a higher level, these creatures rule colonies of Kemoyin Serpents. Rank 5. posses two abilities: 1. Control: The Kemoyin Serpent Emperor possesses sovereignty over all Giant Kemoyin Serpents and their descendants. 2. Devouring. The Kemoyin Serpent Emperor can digest all energy not supported by laws to supplement its own life force.

Kobold [ ]

Creatures that are said to be a descendants of dragons. They reach a height of 3 feet (around 1 meter) upon maturity and their outer appearance is characterized by their scaly skin which can range from a dark reddish-brown to a faded black. There are two taupe horns on the crowns of their heads and their fiery red eyes possess infrared vision. Furthermore, they can obtain spells through their bloodline and become an expert similar to that of a Bloodline Warlock.

The Lightwings were one of the winged races. They had an exceptional sensitivity to light elemental energy particles, and usually had very good results when training in light-type high-grade meditation techniques.

It’s a rank 6 bloodline, [8] from ancient times, used by the warlock Bevin. It’s habitat: wetland with dense fog, or abandoned Magus Cities. Rumored to be the descendants of the ancient Thunder Giant, with the ability to manipulate fog. Likes eating plants like green algae. Gentle nature. Its Special ability has been concealed. Innate talents: 1. Fog Concealment: Covers up one’s aura and information about their bloodline. 2. Grey Fog Space: Creates a subspace that can be maintained for a short period of time. It can also produce a fog armor.

Multi-Armed Race (Quark tribe) [9] [ ]

Inhabitants of The Blackrain World the Quark tribe, called by Leylin Multi-Armed race are dark green humanoids that could somehow be said to look human. They had human torsos and two legs, but their bodies were filled with scales, and their eyes held blood-red pupils. The arms were rather terrifying. Sun’s Child [ ]

Sun’s Child is a Rank 6 Being growing to the size of a sun. It’s super hot light rays can almost melt anything. [11] Later Leylin got a hold of its dead blood. [12] Afterwards he revitalized it and used it for bloodline imprints.

Targaryen Winged Serpent [ ]

Upon injuring the Snake Dowager and consuming the Blood Source of the Giant Kemoyin Serpents together with the clone of Beelzebub, Leylin Farlier with help of the A.I. Chip successfully broke through the Bloodline Shackles and created a new bloodline, the Targaryen Winged Serpent Bloodline, which is believed to be on par with the Snake Dowagers’, it is also the new progenitor of all Giant Kemoyin Serpents.

These so-called Warlocks were a unique kind of Magi. Through devouring, copulation or some other methods, they would obtain the bloodline of powerful magic creatures or even the bloodline of creatures from another world. Moreover, they would continuously tap into the power within. [1]

Concerning Warlocks, in the process of forming their innate spells, there was another scenario that could happen. That only occurs when the blood essence of the bloodline was extremely rich, almost the same as the origin of the bloodline. In such circumstances, there would be an additional innate spell. [2]

The universe is rich of various classes. Each class has its own particular path to power and magi. Some did disappear over time. Yet new paths are opening up.

Alchemy requires a huge amount of resources and ingredients, extremely complex and complicated, the slightest mistake will result in a failure. Many have spent a vast amount of resources to accumulate their experience.

Magi Subclasses [ ]

Bio Booster [ ]

The path of a Bio Booster is another branch of ancient Magi, These ancient Magi were extremely strange and required their inheritors to have the aptitude to become both Knights and Magi. In addition, they had to have Bio Boosting armour. After obtaining the armour, a Bio Booster’s strength would rise sharply, and after fusing, the armour would automatically change the body of the host, this strengthened them continuously. This armour could be inherited. The moment a Bio Booster gained the armour left behind by a higher ranked Bio Booster, they would immediately gain more strength. As a Bio Booster, the gains from inheriting the Bio Boosting armour of an ancestor was not limited to a significant boost in strength. Having the armour was also like carrying around an existence which could help with knowledge and experience. [1] [2]

Branded Swordsman [ ]

A Branded Swordsman is an advanced version of a Knight, through the alchemical runes, a magic spell formation would be branded on their body, allowing them to gain power.The ancient Branded Swordsmen were similar to the bloodline Warlocks and elemental bards, which were among the stronger professions of the sub-branch of the magi. Their specialties were their physical defense and offensive powers, which were regarded as their enemies’ nightmares. The power of an official Branded Swordsman was equivalent to that of at least a rank 1 Magus. Branded Swordsman emphasize more of physical strength training. Through the regular practice and branding, nature’s strength would be stored inside their body. In crucial moments, the energy would erupt explosively [3] [4]

After gaining knowledge of certain runes, Leylin discovered a method capable of creating branded knights with abilities of a magi rank 3 and even rank 4 magi.

(Branded Swordsman is a direct easter egg/reference to the Branded Black Swordsman from the manga Berserk, also knowed as Gutts)

Demon Magus [ ]

A special class of magi passing pacts with demon, to enhance their own power [5]

(the Most likely reference/easter egg about Demon Magus, are either Dungeons & Dragons Warlocks who makes Pacts with Devils/Demons for their powers, OR a reference to Warhammer & Warhammer40k Possessed Chaos Warriors/Space Marines)

Steel Knight [ ]

Steel Knights are said to be from a world, the Steel Lava World, close to the Magus World. Ancient Magi were inspired to alter their bodies with some methods, that they got after conquering the world, can evolve to a state similar to Steel Knights. This does come at the cost of the possibility of being permanently stuck at their current strength. [7]

Arcanist [ ]

A type of Wizard who has fused with the powers of Magi and do not rely on the power of Weave as much. When they reach the realm of legendary, they are able to cast divine spells known as origin spells using origin force from the world’s will. This path was created by the Ancient Magi during the Ancient Final War. The gods were afraid of the arcanists, and so they tried to eradicate them. However some heritages still remain on the world, to deeply hidden.

Wizard [ ]

Considered to be the most difficult path in the Wold of Gods due to the restriction of the Weave. Like those of knights, finances are the greatest problem for those who partake on this path. Wizards have to do a lot of experiments in order to advance in this path. A wizard needs to use the Weave to cast spells. Spells, when used, are forgotten by the wizard and wizards have to be memorize the spell model again on order to be used once more. Leylin followed this path until he found the remnants of the Netheril the empire of arcanists and so, became one. The Wizard Guild of the Three Great Guilds, uses this path.

Wizards can be separated into varying factions. There is abjuration, conjuration, enchantment, transmutation, divination, evocation and necromancy, which comes up to a total of eight spell schools. There are also spells which everyone can use. A wizard can choose to train in two to three spell schools before one’s energy is completely exhausted. Master Ernest, for instance, is versed in evocation and transmutation spells, and he can’t even use the spells of other schools at all. [8]

Knight [ ]

This is a path that is rarely followed, due to the high need for finances. Just finding a warhorse and maintaining good equipment of a knight could cost a lot of gold. There is also a big difference between the Magus World counter part of this path.

Priest [ ]

Priest are normally devout worshipers of gods. Gods can bestow some divine power to their followers. Thanks to this divine power, followers of gods can cast divine spells (depend on the power bestowed). They can cast divine spells from rank 1 to 9. A priest, if sufficiently favored by his god can become an archbishop or even his God’s Chosen (e.g. Alustriel).

Assassin [ ]

As the name goes, this path to power is related to murder. An assassin is needed to murder someone in the dark. Most of them work with the Guild of Assassin and worship Cyric, the God of Murder.

Warrior [ ]

One of the easier path to power in the World of Gods. This path is simple. One has to become a warrior, burn his Qi and train. It is similar to the knight path in the Magus World, but they can become legends ( = knight rank 4,5,6. ) contrary to the former. One of the Three Greatest Guilds, the Warrior Guild, follows this path.

Paladin [ ]

Simply put, someone who can fight with warriors on equal ground, yet still be able to cast divine spells like priests, only Gods bestow these classes.

Monks were people devils did not want to meet at all. They rejected the pleasures of life, their staunch souls not corroded by anything.

Devil Hunter [ ]

A professional class made by Leylin himself, acquired by fusing native hunters with powers those of devils, and as the name suggests a class specifically made to hunt devils on its own right. However as Leylin has some devil followers, he made a loophole for these devils to exploit, so that they would not be hunted by his own professionals. [9]

Magus [ ]

A Magus? They control enormous power and pursue the truth, with an equivalent exchange as their doctrine. Don’t daydream of obtaining any free benefits from a Magus, or else the flames of desire will gush out from the abyss and punish your soul.(Ch.13)

It seems a Magus is differentiated by 9 ranks. rank 1 as the lowest and rank 9 as the highest. The indication is to release a spell of that rank without any backlash.(Ch.85)

Affinity to magic [ ]

Every soul has an affinity for magic however to varying degrees. The most common is very negligible to the point that magic cannot be used but for those that can use magic has aptitudes ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 5. Grade 1 being the lowest having less than 1% of advancing to an official magus, Grade 2 being below average and having at least 10% chance of advancing, Grade 3 being average and having at least 30% chance of advancing, Grade 4 being above average and having at least 50% chance of advancing, and Grade 5 being considered a genius with at least 90% chance of advancing to an official magus.

Elemental Affinities [ ]

Souls with an affinity to magic also have aptitudes for different elements having one or two main elements and a few support elements. For instance, Leylin has proficiency in darkness and slightly in fire and a negligible affinity for plants and later on slightly in ice after his Icy Cave expeditions. Elemental affinities are important because they determine the path and type of magic a magus is most proficient in and also their main magic. Magi can still use magic of other elements but weaker compared to their affinities. Elemental affinities become nearly obsolete when a magus reaches rank 7 due to their laws having influence with other laws having the power to move mountains and seas with a mere thought. Some elements include: darkness, fire, water, ice, earth, wind, light.

Ways to Advance [ ]

The magi of the ancient times developed meditation techniques that provides a magus complementary innate spell models that allow them to advance prior to having reached the requirements. Meditation techniques however may still have restrains especially if it is incomplete or lost preventing the magus from advancing further unless they deduce or recover the following level of the technique. Meditation Techniques are limited to rank 6 as being of laws only need to comprehend laws in order to advance further and eventually need to form their path through the fusion of laws until they comprehend the laws of time and space.

In the ancient times, many creatures possessed abilities and powers on par with magi from acolytes to Breaking Dawns as such a branch of magi, the warlocks, emerged. Magi become warlocks by infusing their blood with the blood of a creature or it is inherited from birth or lineage. Warlocks are naturally stronger than magi of the same rank due to the additive boost of their bloodline but will always be held back by the shackles of their bloodline. Warlock innate spells are always based on the creature of their bloodline such as Leylin’s Kemoyin Scales from the Giant Kemoyin Serpent. Warlocks still follow the meditation technique of their bloodline but apon reaching Morning Star, warlocks gain the ability to transform into their ancestral form (creature) through their arcane arts. The magical power of a warlock is also based on the purity of their bloodline, having the most concentrated being the most powerful while diluted ones being weaker until the bloodline eventually gets diluted enough that it poses a threat to advancement in the following generations. To break the bloodline shackles however requires the warlock to absorb the origin blood of the true progenitor of their bloodline as Leylin consumed a part of the origin force of the Snake Dowager whom is the progenitor of the Kemoyin Serpent freeing himself from the bloodline shackles and becoming the progenitor of his own new bloodline.

Magi without meditation techniques have another method of advancement which is through using Grine Water and using a spell model transforming it into your own innate spell model. This method is unreliable as the innate spell models may be incompatible and result in a backlash that may even kill the user and the fact the Grine Water damages the spiritual force of the magus preventing further advancement and reaching a dead end. Morning Stars who used this method are only slightly more powerful than Crystal Phase Rank 3 but would never match a true Morning Star.

She ended up a failed experiment of a magus (her mentor), which scarred her and changed her physique also making her smell very bad, [1] but giving her great strength, resistance and regenerative abilities.

Leylin told her the only way to recover was to either become a rank 1 magus and reshape her appearance, although the chances of that happening were very low or use a elixir that costs about 1000 magic crystals.

When Leylin came back to the academy, Nyssa was already a rank 2 magus thanks to an ancient inheritance she found.

Appearance [ ]

Initially Nyssa looks like a little girl, and some baby fat were still on her cheeks. [2]

After being experimented on by her master, scars littered her face, and there were even signs of stitches. She had the snout of a pig, her head was bald, she was missing an ear, and had coarsely spaced teeth. A thick, repulsive, yellow fluid continuously flowed out of her mouth. Her facial features looked like they had been messed up by someone and then put back together. [3]

When Leylin reunites with several hundred years later, he couldn’t help but begin to inspect her features closely. She had long, wavy blonde hair and a doll-like face. It was assumed by Leylin that the island was as big as the Eurasian Continent, there are almost no Magi in here except for some acolytes and some wandering magi, as the resources and elemental particles in this island are too scarce.

The World of Gods consists of a cluster of small worlds and planes, as well as some big worlds merged together.

This world has the reputation for having the strongest protective sphere, called World of Gods’ crystal wall. Time flows differently in this world.

Ranks 1-20 are Mortal ranks, where ranks 21+ are Legendary ranks.

Gods are actually Legendaries who have comprehended laws they use divinity to ignite their godsparks to create their own divine realms to house angels/demons. If they descend into the realm, they are technically Legendaries.

Fortunately, the deities only had great influence on and branded the souls of their own devout followers and fanatics. They didn’t pay much attention to the general believers who had only been slightly influenced by the glory of the gods.

What was even more ingenious was that unless one assumed the position of a priest, it was practically impossible to tell the extent of faith that one had. Anyway, all he had to do was just pray at fixed times and occasionally make donations at the church. Leylin felt that he could totally act out such superficial deeds very well.

The laws of the World of Gods [ ]

Laylen first absorb belzebub law of gluttony and form his law of devouring. Belzebub comes from the Nine hells of Baator in the World of God. When laylen absorbs law from being outside the world of God, he notice that he can only retain 1% of the law, but absorbing divine laws in the world of God, such as belzebub law, he can actually absorb more in his case 99% of the law was absorb. Hence Leylin found out why the Magus in the Magus world wanted to conquer and attack the world of god in the past was because the divine law is easy to absorb and may find themselves a way to breakthrough the rank 9.

The laws of the World of Gods are really the harshest among all the worlds.’

Through many minor experiments, Leylin was now able to confirm that although there were extraordinary powers in the World of Gods, they rejected beings that were overly powerful. Even if they were deities, it was compulsory for them to leave the main material plane after advancing, and establish their own kingdom in the outside world.

The physical constants here had also undergone changes. The attractive forces between all kinds of particles seemed to be oddly strengthened, which made it even harder to attain extraordinary powers.

In short, even deities had to expend great effort and strength if they wanted to have a great influence in the World of Gods.

In the World of Gods, those who possessed extraordinary strength were unanimously named ‘Professionals.’They seemed to be able to have occupations at such places as guilds, and they obtained all kinds of privileges and benefits for doing so.

Warlocks [ ]

Warlocks were a unique kind of Magi. Through devouring, copulation or some other methods, they would obtain the bloodline of powerful magic creatures or even the bloodline of creatures from another world. Moreover, they would continuously tap into the power within, Warlocks have a greater innate talent in spell-casting and they completely surpass a regular Magus of the same rank.

However, Warlocks are on the path of bloodlines. Oakheart Clan [ ]

The clan of the Azure Mountain. This clan is under the control of the Morning Star Magi, the Azure Mountain King, and the chief of the clan is Léo, a Rank 3 crystal phase magus killed by Leylin. The biggest secret of this clan is the Star dust Bugs, a bug found by the Azure Mountain King on accident while on an astral plane experiment. They are usually used to spy the other magi in the Central Continent.

Ouroboros Clan [ ]

The Ouroboros Clan is a Warlock Clan, whose dominant bloodline is that of the Giant Kemoyin Serpents’. When Leylin joined they had three Morning Star Warlocks, whose combined powers were enough to contend with a Radiant Moon magus, when the three Warlocks team up, however the strongest of the three died in the Lava World while fighting to protect the other two, who was then replaced by Leylin as the strongest. But that was until he became a Rank 5 Radiant Moon Warlock with the Kemoyin Emperor bloodline, becoming the true leader of the Ouroboros Clan, also becoming the pride of all Kemoyin Warlocks on the continent.

There are 7 continents in the Purgatory World. Holy City is located on Hail Continent of the Purgatory World. In this world, the rulers of every continent are called dignitaries and are actually Rank 8 beings of law.

The World’s Will appears to be kind and welcoming to the chaos brought by the dignitaries but is in fact in deep sleep.

It is said that there would be more than 8 dignitaries (1 by continent) in the Purgatory World, they would be hidden and would occupy the oceans. The World’s Will can be a dignitary.

This world has greater racial diversity than the surface of Magus World according to Leylin.

Two types of power strengthening are mainly used in this world, others are probably used by the minorities.

The first one is the Beast Mastering : The significant presence of spirit beast allows people to capture the souls of these beasts to enable them to summon them in order to fight or move. The beasts found in this world range from rank 0 to 4 for the vast majority. The beasts of the higher ranks are much rarer, they also allow to strengthen the soul of the beast masters. The techniques and formations used to capture and tame the souls of these beasts are common / rare from ranks 1 to 3. Only noble families, possessing great wealth or organizations have the necessary formation to tame the souls of beasts of higher ranks.

The second one is the path of the Sacrificed : The inhabitants of this world grant the dignitaries their loyalties and with the help of sacrifices, accomplished missions or dedication to the laws carried by the dignitaries, they are rewarded with the strength shared by these same dignitaries.

At rank 4 we can materialize the dignitary to which we are affiliated. At rank 5 and higher, we engrave a symbol on our body to swear loyalty and significantly increase our bond with our dignitary. Ranks 6 and above are extremely rare and require a real understanding of the laws of the dignitary and the ideas conveyed by him. In general, rank 7 is almost impossible to achieve because the link with the dignitary would be too strong, the sacrificier would become a puppet.

Find something you want to know about, make a guess as to why it might be so, and then formulate experiments to prove/disprove your guess. Repeat this, till you get your best guess and conclude stuff from the process. Note that in the novel, this is nowhere mentioned. So, I am not claiming that he is doing all of these, and are a few occasions where he doesn’t. But you cannot discredit him from being a scientist from the stuff that’s presented in the book. It is not realistic to expect them to describe all experiments in detail, because a single experiment that takes a day needs a 6-10 page report. Now check how long a 100 year experimental report would be. You would also need to build a theory of magic and that would take a whole lifespan, probably. Now, if you want to consider it from a realistic perspective, any spell models must be insanely complex programs which can be applied into reality through magic. Ie, spell models are instructions to manipulate magical energy and particle in very, very complicated ways to do things. Basically, «magical programming». And in all likelihood, the complexity increases drastically with the level. Therefore, the simulations complexity goes up exponentially. This means that it is impossible to come up with spells unless you have a very long time (like most magi) or with computerized simulation (Like Leylin’s AI). Arguably, it would also be easier for high ranking magi to come up with low ranking spells although that would be useless for them.

It is what I have been looking for, for years a story where the MC is the very embodiment of nietzsche’s ubermensch. Not tied down by mass morality, not tied down by useless sentiments, and ever in pursuit of absolute power. Someone who is willing by ever means to reach true immortality.

The answer comes in 3 points, 1. Most people only read the first 100 chapters and presume he’ll be over-reliant on it forever. Nope as time goes on he relies more on himself.

2. He only uses it because he was small and weak with no path in the beginning. He needed to work fast to protect himself early on and he needed to explore everything for a boost of power. But when he starts on his true path he doesn’t need to explore other stuff as much and focuses on warlock related stuff.

3. He has a supercomputer in his mind but after all a computer is a computer it can’t do anything without intention. He does big picture thinking and decides what he will use the computer for. That’s where we see his intelligence and decision making.

Science is a process it doesn’t take a genius to do science. Science also requires other to invalidate your work. The essence of science is elimination of falsehood because truth is so uncertain. He’s in a magus world and there is no science so of course he doesn’t use science. No he is a mage and so he uses magic it’s a given that he isn’t a scientist. A scientist shares knowledge and his knowledge is his edge against other magi, why would he give up his advantage.

Lastly, Leylin is coldblooded that is a given before you read you need to understand that. He will not fight to protect someone if his life is on the line. But that doesn’t mean he won’t save you if he is able, Leylin can feel love and hate like any normal person. He isn’t a hero he is someone who is trying to survive and he isn’t above using evil for his own goals. After all you need to understand there is no point to morality in a law of the jungle world. The only thing that governs is power that means no complaints from the readers or the characters. No naivete when you start reading and no one is safe including yourself.

The author does a good job of keeping the main character from ever becoming too OP (at least as of chapter 331). So far there’s always a sense of danger. Also the main character isn’t ridiculously lucky like in many other light novels.

The protagonist has slowly and painstakingly gathered strength and each major increase has required real work.

The character is also needlessly paranoid, and like all edgy ‘badass’ protags, a point is made of paranoia being the ONE TRUE PATH. except there are clear advantages to standing out even in this world he crafted by himself, and quite frankly even in the world he’s created, the fact that any random nobody is willing to go gung-ho with murder over the table scraps he demonstrates himself to have basically make it so a functional society is impossible. He also makes it a point to mock the idea of the usefulness of being in a group. despite him being much happier and more successful the time he was in a group than he was alone. Whoops. Did I mention he forms his own group, thereby proving himself even more of a hypocrite with regards to his little rant on personal power being everything and forming groups being meaningless?

Is a part of the first level of the Subterranean World. Isolated due to a battle between two Morning Star Magi destroying the path between the First Level of Subterranean World. With the only way being the one found by Kubler’s ancestors.

This was the core of Twilight Zone, and where there was the largest population. Caravans passed by the routes frequently and were bustling with life.

The Ice World [ ]

The Ice World was formed because the guardian of the Icy World was trying to revive itself through its drop of blood in the Twilight Zone, and as it needed a lot of blood sacrifices, and as such made a world resembling the Icy World, filled with creatures greatly resembling the creatures of the Icy World.

Twilight Zone, year 5782. [ ]

Magus Leylin Farlier led the human army to crush the army of the dark elves along with their empress. Magus Anya, along with rank 1 and rank 2 matriarchs, were not spared. Together with the rest of the army, they collapsed at the scene and countless lives were lost.

It was clear to Leylin that the south coast’s model was more just and fair than the guild system followed by Twilight Zone. Furthermore, how many acolytes could a mentor take on? How could they compare to the large-scale classrooms of an academy?

Many large guilds started to relinquish their narrow-minded restriction of meditation techniques to combine forces, as it would definitely be much stronger than the strength of individual guilds.

This was the success of the system! It was also the improvement of an era, once it became a trend, it could not be stopped!

The guilds that were left behind, in order to not be overshadowed by the academies, also had to establish institutes and enroll many acolytes to survive.

This allowed talented commoners to have a very good chance.

Academies that were more free and open could also accept roaming Magi. Without the meditation technique restriction, it became much simpler for roaming Magi who wanted to join academies.

Leylin had noticed this long ago. Although guilds that practised the same kind of meditation technique were very united, they also became highly xenophobic. After joining a guild, if a Magi did not practice that guild’s meditation technique, they became targets for ostracization.

But academies did not face this problem. The flames of the revolution started by Longbottom were also snuffed out gradually by the institution of academies.

Twilight Zone year 5786. [ ]

the western and southern regions that had only been pledging their allegiance on the surface could no longer hold on and announced their agreement to support Nature’s Alliance academy in the central region. They received guidance from the great Guardian of the Realm and built a joint academy.

Twilight Zone was unified, and the prestige of the Guardian of the Realm, Leylin, was deep in the hearts of the masses. Human society also began to develop at a quick rate.

The Ouroboros Clan is a clan of Serpent type Bloodline Warlocks.They only accept Warlock of Giant Kemoyin Serpent and its subspecies. [Maybe the descendants of Leylin (Nine-Headed Nightmare Hydra, Targaryen Snake, Ouroboros, and Jormungandr) too?]

History [ ]

It is known that the Ouroboros clan survived for few thousand years. Their headquarters was always Phosphorescence Swamp until Leylin moved most of the clan to the South Coast because of overflowing trade with the first level of the Subterranean World.

Now the Ouroboros Clan is one the Magus World’s greatest superpowers. This is because of their many Rank 6 Warlocks (most of which are Leylin’s descendant.) The clan is still in development as their flourishing years have only begun.

Power [ ]

At the start, the Ouroboros clan only had 3 Morning Star Warlocks (with the combined strength of the three they could match up to Radiant Moon Magi). After Leylin entered the clan he became a Morning Star Warlock as well as other factors like the death of the first and strongest Duke of the clan, he became one of three (supposed to be four) Dukes of the clan.

Afterwards, Leylin became the most powerful person in the clan, he married Freya, proclaiming her to be the queen, and created the Farlier royal family.

After Leylin got rid of the Bloodline Shackles from Snake Dowager and took the blood source of all the Giant Kemoyin Serpent Warlocks, the power of Ouroboros clan started rise rapidly.

Most of the clan was moved to South Coast and partially to the Subterranean World because of newly established trade with it.

Even though the Clan has several strong Bloodline Families almost all of the powerful individuals are from the Farlier Family.

Farlier Family became Royal Family of Ouroboros clan ruling the entire clan.

Rank of their bloodline depends on Leylin. Currently Ouroboros Clan has Rank 9 bloodline.

Первоначально Лейлин выглядел как 13-летний парень с европеоидной внешностью, каштанового цвета волосами, большими глазами и густыми бровями.

После того, как он стал Чернокнижником, его волосы стали совершенно черными, внешний облик не сильно изменился, только кожа выглядела более блестящей. Его глаза стали ярче, брови стали более гладкими, а лицо стало красивее, чем прежде. Его часто называли дьявольски красивым.

У него были вьющиеся золотистые волосы, голубые глаза и красивое лицо, унаследовавшее прекрасные черты своих родителей. Хотя тонкие волосы возле его губ и выдавали его истинный возраст, они не могли скрыть его зрелого очарования. После становления полубогом его глаза приобрели золотистый цвет.

Не только это, но и его красивая внешность, его темперамент, он харизматичен и очень умен. Он очень интересный персонаж для подражания, все в нем было действительно выдающимся. who cares. I love this novel. I recommend this to all people who are tired of other MC that keeps on using plot armor. Hahah, this is for those who are tired of pretender. Those who knows the true human nature.

a literal god/devil and multiple level 8 Magi simultaneously, whose «processing power» was stated to be not a bit inferior compared to the A.I. Chip’s at that moment. I wonder what tipped the scales.

A girl forced to leave her family properties was being chased by enemy guards and encounters MC. MC makes a sane choice by not jumping to aid her and avoids any future troubles.

MC stays in his character and doesn’t act jerk just to make plot twist.

Other reviews say that AI chip is OP but which MC doesn’t have a heaven defying treasure. At least in this case all the functions of AI chip are known to us prior instead of just popping in a fight where MC is going against an enemy 10 levels higher than him.

Before making any move he prepares himself instead of just rushing in and leaving everything to luck (plot armor).

Anyway, TL;DR. MC is an adult character that is rare in this genre. He may have transmigrated into a teenage body but his thinking process did not regress like 98% of MC’s do. He has an OP cheat that he makes use of (haters gonna hate) ; he is not a care bear. he is the guy that will dissect the care bear, he never pretended not to be that guy. it is obvious from the get go. Read this with all this in mind and you will enjoy the hell out of our warlock

First off, science is about doing research, learning new things. Do you think scientists don’t use computers, simulations, and algorithms already? Besides, pretty much every MC of this type of novel gets some special god-tier bonus. At least the A.I. Chip has a semi-realistic background rather than falling from the sky or randomly being found in the first cave the MC happens to walk into.

Personally I like his style a lot. Unlike other MCs with boundless arrogance and pride who challenge anyone who «looks at them disdainfully» and rely on «heaven-defying good fortune» (a.k.a. Plot armour) to not die, Leylin actually uses his brain and analyses the situation. He knows when to keep a low profile, and plot silently to come out ahead in the long run.

The only downside of his personality is that he doesn’t have lasting relationships as he either views them as bothersome or potentially dangerous, and ultimately only trusts himself. I know it’s cliche but I’d still find it more interesting if there was a long-term FMC, other than that I don’t have anything to say.

If you like «smart» MCs who rely on brains over muscle, then this is for you. That’s not to say he doesn’t become powerful in his own right, only that he uses his research and intelligence to gradually make himself more powerful rather than relying on random godlike artifacts (aside from his A.I. Chip, but again that’s related to research/intelligence and doesn’t directly boost his combat abilities).

The only other small criticism I have is for the translators! You better! Get! Used! To! Exclamation! Marks! Because! They! Appear! Every! Freaking! Sentence!

Edit: I changed to 3/5 because the story starts to get dull after a while.

The main problem is that Leylin is a sociopath with no goals other than reaching immortality. He doesn’t really give a damn about any of the other characters, and the path to immortality stuff isn’t all that interesting on its own.

While the A.I. can look like a big cheat it becomes small if we compare it to the usual Spirit Teacher who:

1.- Gives hidden knowledge and high ranked techniques
2.- Can sense forces stronger than the MC (which helps him to run and hide)
3.- Can analyze forces stronger than the MC without them noticing as the Spirit Master has an even higher rank
4.- Gives last minute solutions for the problems at hand like information, a temporal power up or straight up fights for the MC

1.- Can’t give new knowledge without being feed large amounts of information, it also requires plenty of time for any valuable calculation, also it requires experimentation to see if the knowledge can be used safely
2.- Can’t sense forces stronger than the MC if they are using concealing techniques
3.- While the AI could analyze beings ranked higher than the MC (as long as they are not activating any kind of protection) he wont dare because it would attract the attention of such beings
4.- Can’t give power ups nor can fight for the MC, any last minute solution given by the AI chip still needs large amounts of time (and usually resources) to be implemented

Interestingly the magus can also make Artificial Intelligences but they are called Spirit Genies and are mostly used for defensive-spells/energy-management and is implied that high ranked magi have minds that easily rival his A.I.

The cruelness of the societies is covered by the order and rules they conduct with, but the MC is very careful to hide his A.I. because his superiors would kill him and process his soul just for the possibility of obtaining new knowledge so he is careful not to become the center of attention nor to make strong enemies, his moral code is to help his friends as long as the price is not too high and to destroy his enemies as long as the risk is not to high and he also has no problem giving away the stuff others may value if it causes him no drawbacks

When his friend is condemned to death the MC offers compensation to spare her life (using something valuable that he just doesnt need anymore), then goes and kills the one who caused it all because he is already passing by the zone as he reaches his new destination

Then he completely ignores a little girl because she is not his friend nor can she give him any benefit

When in the middle of a war the MC finds an old friend in a position beneath him the MC gives him some resources and keeps him away from the battlefield

Later he trains a guy out of boredom and kills him once he realizes the guy can be useful dead

Then he becomes the savior of mankind because it benefits him. and everyone is praising him because of that

If we were to insert here the MC of another xianxia story as soon as they make a show of bravado destroying young masters and the like they would be secretly captured (without coughing blood or «losing face») to have their legacies extracted from them, their bodies would be used to make some nice chimeras and the magi would refine their souls to make a pendant for their kids and the MC knows it so he is really careful when going all out and usually only does it on secret

The MC can be ruthless and values the potential benefit from his actions and he doesnt hide it, unlike other MCs who destroy their enemies under the pretense of justice (even if they destroy entire clans as collateral damage) the MC recognizes the fact that killing others is a way to walk his path towards knowledge and power. just as everyone else does in the story

Particularly I liked how all the magi have a scientific mindset and are eager to accept a research as a payment or a piece of a legacy (even if broken) to include it in their own researches and are clear about how much are they willing to cooperate in the face of potential benefits

In the first part of the story we have the MC joining forces with a group of people to increase their chances to obtain their objective but all of them knew that if the loot was not enough only one could take it so they cooperate while getting ready to backstab each other, the reaction of the MC was pretty amusing because everyone believed him to be the weakest among the group and he only won because the other people spent their trump cards against each other but if they had to face one on one the MC would have been killed or at least severely wounded, he only won because he made his opponents underestimate him

In this story no one accuses the other party of being wicked or vicious because they know they would do the same given the chance so there is no obnoxious fake morality as it happens so frequently in xianxia, the MC does good if it benefits him and does evil if it benefits him. but doing evil brings way more benefits than being good; even then the MC manages to be evil in creative ways

After chapter 300 the MC creates his own «legacies» and hands them to youngsters in need of power who then become typical xianxia MCs who gain fame and are ambitious, the MC monitors them to gather information about the various techniques and treasures they encounter and also to monitor the political situation in the area

Overall the story has a little amount of cliches and the MC’s attitude is fresh and amusing, the constant hunt for resources is well balanced with story development and is one of the most entertaining journeys in the xianxia genre, the arcs are all different so there is no repetition and it stays fresh all the time

The MC has an OP item (the AI chip), but so does every MC in xianxia/xuanhuan. Some complain that it is too strong because the MC relies on it a lot, but actually that is just one of the signs of MC not being s*upid (like so many other MCs) and utilizing his cheat optimally. It isn’t that his cheat is exceptional compared to other cheats, its just that he uses it far better than many other protagonists do. And he does get things done under his own powers as the plot progresses, and the chip is severely limited by his own cultivation realm, so don’t expect him to just take on people at higher realms. That said, calling him a scientist is a joke, the AI cheat is a scientist, the MC is the CEO that makes actually intelligent decisions on what to have the AI cheat do when.

That said, the cheat item only detracts from this story, it would have definitely been a 5 star story if the MC didn’t have the AI Cheat. It is also implausible in so many ways that don’t make sense, like when it somehow is able to remove toxins from the MC’s body, or create accurate simulation based on information it can’t know (because its unable to scan the enemy).

This series doesn’t feel like it runs off of plot armor (barring a few exceptions). Generally it feels like the MC is in actual danger. He has to cleverly wield his powers (cheat included) to avoid death. As well as avoiding making enemies with those he cannot beat. Although there are some exceptions

Also other people in the world are not morons either. Young master upset that his fiance is flirting with the MC? His elder who believes he is a major realm above the MC actually makes him apologize to the MC to avoid pointlessly starting fights with random people of unknown backgrounds; this is done to set the tone and mood of how cautious magi need to be and how they can’t just act like morons all the time. although again, there are intentional exceptions showing different cultures due to different nature of powers. You have those at lower levels who failed to advance because they were not cunning enough, those with inborn powers (which typically also makes them emotional and insane, and prone to getting rekt by the weaker but more logical maguses), or those who seek to build empires instead of cultivation might have different philosophy and behavior. Some of the previously mentioned differences occur across worlds though instead of being found among the magi themselves.

The MC is evil, if this is a deal breaker then don’t read this. But he isn’t doing evil for fun or evulz like so many other evil characters. Refreshingly he only does evil when it benefits him, and even then he keeps it on the down low because he realizes reputation matters (although he rates reputation very lowly compared to any material benefits).

For example, there are occasional NPCs who consume the souls of an entire town to grow more powerful, MC considers them morons who would be hunted down, and limits himself to experimenting on a few condemned criminals which he secretly buys from the local lord.

He also does good things as well. Either for tangible benefits or for pure PR. So long as he gets a benefit from it. For example he reformed education in some place and giving equal opportunity. so he could steal secret knowledge and so that his minions would be stronger.

MC doesn’t give a rats ass about face, and avoids insulting people or getting into other people’s business when he can help it. There is still conflict though because cultivation is dangerous in this setting and many people have mental instabilities and outright insanity due to cultivation errors. The MC himself has for a time such an issue which he resolves in a timely manner, but not before managing to get himself into some trouble with an overpowered organization and going on the run. But instead of being forever, he actually resolves that issue. Later on conflict stems from fighting over limited resources.

Plot holes or OOC behavior that turns out to have been justified after the fact only happens very rarely and in small amounts. Especially when compared to other chinese novels. The writing style is overall pleasant, unlike your typical xianxia with its 10 pages of «the observing crowd’s mind shook as he leveled up!» or constant repetition and filler. Although at later chapters it somewhat deteriorates a bit with some filler and repetition, still not nearly as bad compared to most other CN novels in terms of padding.

Also, the Harem tag is wrong. the MC buys magically mind-wiped s*aves for his mansions whenever he moves to a new region (with various training and specialities; cooks, cleaners, maids, guards, and lewd). And later on when he becomes a major lord he marries (not out of love. more like he just needs a wife so he picks a suitable noblewoman who is interested and he has good relations with).

And gets a few concubines with interestingly powerful bloodlines (to spread his bloodline so he has more powerful minions and control over the warlock clans). Those women are largely irrelevant except for establishing his own character, this is most definitely not a «harem genre».

Я прочитал все произведение и могу сказать что название ну вообще не подходит для этой работы, чернокнижников тут нет.

Это самая типичная гриндилка уровней где гг открывает новые уровни в силах, потом ещё новые и так далее все главы об одном и том же и стандартные клише когда молодые господа приходят и ухаживают за смертью, потом приходят братья, потом отцы, дяди, деды, патриархи потом предки, а потом уже предки с более высших сфер, а сама фишка с «чернокнижниками» появляется только после 300той главы. Опять повторюсь с чернокнижниками это произведение вообще не связано.

Я до последней главы ждал когда он призовет демона или пульнет проклятиями, скверной, порчей но нет, он умеет только превращается в змей. Представьте мое разочарование когда я стал «это» читать после «Архимага Креола» игры в WoW за чернокнижника.

Но про саму работу могу сказать так, есть система с читами, а сам гг оборотень в змей в мире культиваторов и магов. Все это шаблонное произведение не отличимое от других. ГГ тут убл*док который зарежет ближнего своего чтобы покультиваровать на их трупы(образно) если ему нужно будет. Я думал когда у гг будут дети он будет другим станет более мягче или более человечнее но нет ему было без разницы были ли у него дети или нет.

По окружению тоже нечего сказать шаблонные персонажи нужные только в одну арку потом про них забывают. Мир такой же, вот он тут, теперь он тут привязки некакой нету (даже когда он стал правителем).

Ну что сказать произведение на любителя, кому нравится пустые рассказы про культиваторов и то как они выходят «из грязи в князи» (в каждой арке).

Один из лучших романов, что я читал. Классика для тех, кто только начал знакомиться с умными и «злыми» гг.

МС- Злодей, но не в привычном для нас понимании. Он не убивает всех направо и налево, а является умным и расчетливым. Его поведение зависит от выгод, которые он сможет получить. Так что часто можно увидеть гг, ведущим себя щедро.

Мир прописан неплохо, однако есть некоторые повторения, но за счет интересного сюжета я читал это залпом. Персонажи довольно интересные, но я бы не назвал их уж очень запоминающимися. Я помню парочку, но, скорее, их образ и характер. Внешность и имена я через столько лет уже не помню.

Роман кончился довольно странно, но какого-либо диссонанса у меня концовка не вызвала. В целом, цели были достигнуты и история не имеет смысла продолжаться дальше.

В общем и целом, рекомендую его читателям-новичкам, так как ветеранам оно может показаться не таким интересным.

Предисловие: это первое прочитанное мной современное китайское произведение, из подобных вещей я читал только японские новеллы, поэтому мои оценки могут быть предвзяты.

Положительные стороны:
1. Удивительно, но это не гарем, хотя гаремных приёмов много;
2. Растут цифры ГГ:
3. Происходит какая-то движуха.

Ну где-то 4/10. Бывает гораздо хуже.

Если вам нравятся волшебные, уникальные миры с яркими описаниями, которые засасывают вас, и вы видите, как кто-то поднимается из самого слабого лошпексона, превращается в кого-то, кого нужно бояться и трепетать, сочетая мифы и легенды, это для вас.
Мир, прописан очень хорошо, конечно иногда остаются вопросы но качество на уровне. Характер гг и его окружение также проработаны. Поэтому я активно рекомендую его другим читателям.

В большинстве культиваторских песочниц читателей знакомят с темным миром с законом джунглей и так далее и тому подобное, но это. это совершенно новый уровень. Честно говоря, Лейлин (уважаемый лорд, ато вдруг в пространстве уззнает о том что пишу неуважительно и убьет еще)))), не просто безжалостен, он на самом деле бесчеловечен (как и большинство совершенствующихся в этом романе), гораздо больше, чем другие МС. Но поскольку Лорд активно идентифицирует себя как зло, негативные эффекты также ясно изображены; проблема с «хорошими» культиваторами, войной и постоянным предательством собственных союзников; доверия почти нет. Кроме того, главный герой испытывает настоящие неудачи в совершенствовании. Когда он отправляется на поиски сокровищ, на самом деле у него есть способ вернуться с пустыми руками или даже с потерями и без выгоды. Это также причина, почему я думаю, что этот роман настолько уникален. Трудности, с которыми он сталкивается, также являются настоящими трудностями; только его постоянное и тщательное планирование помогает ему пройти через ситуации, которые убили бы большинство главных героев других романов.

В итоге, 8/10, очень хорошо. Советую к прочтению.

Мое первое сянся. Мой любый главный герой (хотя Лейлин и ЮньЧе все таки делят первенство). И самая, вот просто самая лучшая система культивации. Понятна, каждая ступень объясняется, ты даже представить можешь! Ни одна культиватора не давала такого ощущения.

Много кто ругает концовку. Что за бред, мужик сказал чего хочет, он и добился. Всё! Я рада, есть конец и он логичен.

Сюжет. Как кому, но сюжет цепляет, для меня это были вечные приключения. И не так, что усложняется и все более мощ-щные враги и герои. Нет, любой новый мир, это НОВЫЙ опыт, новые ощущения. Ставлю 9/10. Да, сюжет растянут 🙂 и первые страниц. 300 буде о-очень скучно и муторно, а потом пойдет 🙂

Мир. Мне понравился лор, волшебно, сказочно, кроваво. 9/10, я верю, я вижу, ощущаю.

Мм, рояли? Да полно, и мега плюшки тоже. Но честно, прочитав после чернокнижника кучу других сянся, рояли не выбешивают.

И да, тут нет гарема, за что ещё плюс Лейлину. ЮньЧе за другое люблю ;))

Из моей немногой коллекции книг прочитанных на данный момент одно из лучших произведений, оно как вино со временем только лучше, учит людей не быть наивным дурачком и доверять только фактам, многое подчерпнул из новеллы, а пр сюжету, просто сказка

Гг жестокий злой мужик который борется только за свою выгоду

Добивается своих целей не важно кто будет перед ним, мстительный как злой призрак

В общем-то можно много чего рассказывать, но лучше почитать.Однозначно советую на мой профессиональный взгляд 10 из 10

Моя вторая китайская новелла. Я начинал её читать еще совсем зеленным, даже когда гугл транслейт с китайского на русский был стандартной практикой. За него тогда не наказывали.

Главный герой Лейлин – это отличный архитип с точки зрения погружения читателя в мир. Он описан таким образом, чтобы читатель мог себя с ним ассоциировать. Ведь он умен, красив, местами жесток и очень целеустремлен по пути к могуществу.

Сперва он по стандарту классики попадает в бездарность, но с помощью искусственного интеллекта быстро развивается. Все сложные формулы за него просчитывает «машина», а он лишь направляет свою силу на врагов.

Что неплохо отличает эту книгу от остальных?

Разумеется это хитрые ходы. Герой часто скрывает свои мысли от читателей, делает много ловушек, о цели которых мы не знаем, а в конце видим результат. Где сильные противники попадают в невыгодное положение.

Касательно романтики, здесь есть гарем, но он не тупой. По сути, у героя будет много интрижек, но в конце только три девушки попадают в основной гарем. Остальные или умирают или пропадают. Поскольку здесь тайм-скипы на сотни лет – это логично.

Из неприятного я могу отметить третью арку в «Подземной Мире». Он получился невероятно душным, т.к. там события идут не от лица главного героя. Он здесь второстепенный персонаж, который изрядно удивит персонажей в конце.

В целом, новеллу можно оценить на 7 из 10 баллов. Минус очко за душные моменты, минус очко за излишнюю китайщину в нескольких десяток глав. Последний балл я отнял скорее за финал. Автор неплохо описала оба мира, но в конце решила (как я понял, автор девушка) побыстрее перейти к написанию «Боевой Художник». В результате этого пострадал финал книги.

Не то что щедевр, есть и не плохие моменты, и есть моменты где хочется бросить.

Про сюжет. Ну типичный китайский. Я даже не знаю как описать.

Про вселенную. Она очень перспективная. Ведь тут есть множество миров со всякими условиями, и это чертовски интересно, читать про разные миры, где, допустим, есть другой метод кача, свои законы и тд. Вот только из бесконечного кол-ва миров нам показали максимум 5.

В общем если стави ставить оценку, то я бы поставил 7/10. Есть душные моменты, но в основном я читал не отрываясь и с интересом(я 2 ночи не спал, читал пока заряд на планшете не сядет). И да, концовка открытая, намекающая на продолжение, но его нет. Хотя в какой то работе упоминается Лейлин, который апнулся, но я хз как она называется.

Это. Шедевр. Да! Шедевр. Я не знаю почему многим не нравится это произведение. В первую произведение должно дать незабываемые эмоции. Это не какая-то бизнес книга и т.д.

Это целая история. И, она прописана отлично. Мир, сюжет, персонажи, всё сделана для обычных читателей. Понимаете о чём я?

Да! Иногда персонажи делают откровенную ху. Ну вы поняли. Но, это ничто. Как я говорил самое главное это эмоции. И это произведение с этим справляется отлично.

Самый главный минус это: Вода.

Автор нарочно растянул до 1200 главы. Можно было и без этого обойтись. В общем как что-то для расслабления подойдёт. Ведь мир погружает читателя целиком в себя.

Рекомендую к прочтению! 10/10

Ну что могу сказать, начнем с перевода мне понравилась все ОК

Насчет сюжета, до 900 глав читать можно, если хотите сохранить мозгов бросайте как только он войдет в мир богов. Он вообще забил про свою семью, каждый хочет увидеть что они делают и тд. После 900 глав Автор стоько натянул сюжет что меня бамбонуло ну прям. Ну да там +18 не так что они делают но наверное он уже переспал с 50+ женщинами. А так все просто Ок до 900 глав так что почитать можно.

Добрый вечер. Это одна из моих рецензий на те произведения что я прочёл раньше. Стало скучно и решил написать своё мнение о них. Пишу по памяти. А теперь к делу.

Главный герой у нас обыкновенный ропаланец в чужое тело. Он у нас жесток, прагматичен, хитёр и параноик. В следствие его огромного ума (который притянут автором за уши),опыта прошлой жизни и опасной срелы нынешней его действия вполне объяснимы. Он обыкновенный антигерой. Циничен, высокомерен и умел. Данные качества и бодрое начало истории вполне привлекут читателей. Вполне возможно, что многим из них он понравится. Как и мне ранее.

Однако, спустя время я понял что жанная работа обладает рядом минусов китайщины:

1) Герой самый, самый и нет никого кто был бы выше/быстрее/сильнее. Вам как читателю ясно, что те кому он продул в итоге окажутся у его ног. Те кто пытаются его обмануть, сами окажутся обмануты. Такого не бывает. Из этого вытекает, что нет переживания за главного героя. Нет эмоций.

2) Его ум и хитрость описаны так как автор смог, переланы слабо. Под конец в это не верится

3) Слабая проработка миров и законов. Не интересно читать о них. Часто просто пропускаешь. Вследствие этого нет ощущения того что ты часть этого мира. Как итог слабое погружение.

4) Часта смена места действия. Да, тут она наблюдается. Не такая как в истории про Не Ли, Сяо Янь и т.д. Однако, она есть.

5) Часть персонажей слишком быстро перестают быть важными.

Вывод: обыкновенная китайщина срелнего качества. Тем кому нравятся грамотные сюжетные ходы и проработанность мира путь сюда заказан. Для них это будет хренью. Для тех клму в новинку и ценителям жанра, ну и те кого задолбало видеть 1500 авторских фанфиков без концовок,сомнительного качества; героям (а те кто читают эту макулатуру в надежде найти стоящее реально герои) китайской культиваторщины вполне зайдёт.

В любом соучае произведение на один раз, особых впечатлений от него не будет (только первое время), в памяти оно не останется.

Прочел не все произведение, а только чуть больше 1000 глав.

Дальше начал пропадать интерес к прочтению, хотя само произведение совсем не плохое.

Сюжет довольно необычный и персонажи неплохи.

Сам мир довольно странный как по мне, но все же призываю к прочтению, а там уже видно будет.

Оценка где-то 8 змей из 10.

Странное про новеллу «Чернокнижник среди магов»

ПО большей части это критика, а не рецензия. Так что тем кто обожает данное произведение лучше не читайте эту заметку.

Прочитал до 450 главы. Честно говоря, данное произведение оказалось сильно средненькой графоманией. И судя по тому что впереди еще 500 глав, а то и больше, то это настораживает.

Далее, поначалу нам ставят планку, что ГГ хочет исследовать мир, и расширить свое представление об истине. Это не так, протагонист не ищет истину, он только копит книги в своем суперкомпьютере. Более того, создается впечатление, что главный умник здесь только его ИИ, а ГГ лишь приставка к нему. Так как без своего чипа, он никто. Более того, Лейлин (так зовут этого персонажа), как индивид не развивается вообще. Он монолитен, он никогда не меняет свою точку зрения. Но это нам подается как верность принципам. Это ложь. ГГ не пытается искать истину, он не ищет объективных причин функционирования мира, а довольствуется только субъективными суждениями. Все за него делает ИИ.

Итог: Читать можно до того момента как ГГ стал чернокнижником. Дальше все идет едва ли не под копирку, но из-за постоянных самоповторов законов вселенной, все впечатление от стиля подачи материала исчезает.

Вы хотите невероятно продуманные сюжетные линии? Интриги, подкупы, шантаж? Детальые проработки боёв и классов, реально умных персонажей? А может тащитесь немного по издевательствам и победам над умными антоганистами? Ах, наверно уже переизбыток гормонов и хотите любовной лирики? Пафос, Харизматичность там где это действительно нужно?

Я прочитал все произведение и могу сказать что название ну вообще не подходит для этой работы, чернокнижников тут нет.

Это самая типичная гриндилка уровней где гг открывает новые уровни в силах, потом ещё новые и так далее все главы об одном и том же и стандартные клише когда молодые господа приходят и ухаживают за смертью, потом приходят братья, потом отцы, дяди, деды, патриархи потом предки, а потом уже предки с более высших сфер, а сама фишка с «чернокнижниками» появляется только после 300той главы. Опять повторюсь с чернокнижниками это произведение вообще не связано.

Я до последней главы ждал когда он призовет демона или пульнет проклятиями, скверной, порчей но нет, он умеет только превращается в змей. Представьте мое разочарование когда я стал «это» читать после «Архимага Креола» игры в WoW за чернокнижника.

Но про саму работу могу сказать так, есть система с читами, а сам гг оборотень в змей в мире культиваторов и магов. Все это шаблонное произведение не отличимое от других. ГГ тут убл*док который зарежет ближнего своего чтобы покультиваровать на их трупы(образно) если ему нужно будет. Я думал когда у гг будут дети он будет другим станет более мягче или более человечнее но нет ему было без разницы были ли у него дети или нет.

По окружению тоже нечего сказать шаблонные персонажи нужные только в одну арку потом про них забывают. Мир такой же, вот он тут, теперь он тут привязки некакой нету (даже когда он стал правителем).

Ну что сказать произведение на любителя, кому нравится пустые рассказы про культиваторов и то как они выходят «из грязи в князи» (в каждой арке).

Один из лучших романов, что я читал. Классика для тех, кто только начал знакомиться с умными и «злыми» гг.

МС- Злодей, но не в привычном для нас понимании. Он не убивает всех направо и налево, а является умным и расчетливым. Его поведение зависит от выгод, которые он сможет получить. Так что часто можно увидеть гг, ведущим себя щедро.

Мир прописан неплохо, однако есть некоторые повторения, но за счет интересного сюжета я читал это залпом. Персонажи довольно интересные, но я бы не назвал их уж очень запоминающимися. Я помню парочку, но, скорее, их образ и характер. Внешность и имена я через столько лет уже не помню.

Роман кончился довольно странно, но какого-либо диссонанса у меня концовка не вызвала. В целом, цели были достигнуты и история не имеет смысла продолжаться дальше.

В общем и целом, рекомендую его читателям-новичкам, так как ветеранам оно может показаться не таким интересным.

Сюжет довольно необычный и персонажи неплохи.

Сам мир довольно странный как по мне, но все же призываю к прочтению, а там уже видно будет.

Странное про новеллу «Чернокнижник среди магов»

ПО большей части это критика, а не рецензия. Так что тем кто обожает данное произведение лучше не читайте эту заметку.

Прочитал до 450 главы. Честно говоря, данное произведение оказалось сильно средненькой графоманией. И судя по тому что впереди еще 500 глав, а то и больше, то это настораживает.

Далее, поначалу нам ставят планку, что ГГ хочет исследовать мир, и расширить свое представление об истине. Это не так, протагонист не ищет истину, он только копит книги в своем суперкомпьютере. Более того, создается впечатление, что главный умник здесь только его ИИ, а ГГ лишь приставка к нему. Так как без своего чипа, он никто. Более того, Лейлин (так зовут этого персонажа), как индивид не развивается вообще. Он монолитен, он никогда не меняет свою точку зрения. Но это нам подается как верность принципам. Это ложь. ГГ не пытается искать истину, он не ищет объективных причин функционирования мира, а довольствуется только субъективными суждениями. Все за него делает ИИ.

Итог: Читать можно до того момента как ГГ стал чернокнижником. Дальше все идет едва ли не под копирку, но из-за постоянных самоповторов законов вселенной, все впечатление от стиля подачи материала исчезает.

Когда мой дед помог раненному Магу, тот взамен дал ему это кольцо и сказал, что если кто-то будет иметь дар к магии, пусть оденет его, и оно ему поможет вступить в любую гильдию безо всяких усилий. Я дарую его тебе в надежде, что ты станешь гордостью нашей семьи.

Глаза Фан Мина резко сузились, и он невольно приложил правую руку к груди.

Фан Мин быстро покачал головой, и тут же схватился за нее, будто она снова затрещала от боли.

Он вдруг повернулся и посмотрел на Джорджа так, что у него сжалось сердце, словно на него уставилась ядовитая змея.

— Дорогой Джордж, почему ты не разбудил меня раньше, а просто позволил мне валяться на полу так долго? — Спросил Фан Мин, закатывая глаза.

— Хе-хе! Ты так сладко спал, вот я и подумал, что тебе нравится.

Джордж смущённо почесал голову, а глаза его хитро засверкали.

Под убийственным взглядом Фан Мина он, наконец, сдался и поднял руки.

— Хорошо. Хорошо! Кто просил тебя обижать мою богиню? Я не мелочный человек. Жаль, но все люди в карете уже считают тебя своим врагом и мне не хочется стать изгоем.

Фан Мин почесал голову и внезапно вспомнил, почему его избили.

Это была девушка по имени Бессита. Хоть ей и было всего 15, но её красивое тело уже сформировалось, а ее большие глаза еще больше соблазняли Лейлина.

Вообще, настоящий Лейлин не был джентльменом. Он потерял девственность в двенадцать лет, после чего соблазнил множество других женщин и переспал больше чем с сотней.

The Abyssal Bone Forest Academy was constructed in the Gregorian Year 324, the founder being Merlin Falek Driwilc [ch 20].

Hierarchy and Recruitment [ ]

Similar to most Magus schools, the Abyssal Bone Academy mainly deals with acolytes with some graduating to become official Rank 1 Magi if they sign a contract with the school such as Professor Kroft. Treatment of acolytes differ depending on level, era, proficiency level and most notably professors, with some opting to experiment on their students.

Level 1 acolytes are new students with some students with high enough proficiencies to reach this level prior to arriving at the academy eg: Jayden (some guidance from Dorotte is hinted at). Level 2 takes a bit more effort. And level 3 has an infamous bottleneck. Level 3 are the backbone of the academy amounting to the average strength. There have been some rare occasions where acolytes are treated with extreme care (such as in the aftermath of the bloodbath of the war between the ABFA and Sage Gotham’s Hut and Whitewoods Castle).

Acolytes’ proficiency is quite prominent in the early stages of a Magus’ development with Lvl 5 being considered a 90% chance of achieving rank 1 Magus. Discrimination between different proficiency students is quite common with cliques forming before even arriving at the academy. Lvl 3 is treated as an average student, lvl 1 & 2 as weak, lvl 4 as great resources and lvl 5 as the greatest resource/investment. Professors generally seek students with higher aptitude as they will prove more useful and further their image. While the choosing of professors is either random or by a book, lvl 5 geniuses are often immediately recruited as protégés by teachers and heavily favored.

The Abyssal Bone Forest Academy has recruitment coverage in large amounts of areas going as far as the Chernobyl Islands an area considered barren. The reason for such generous actions going as far to recruit commoners of faraway lands is due to how many acolytes turn to the Light Magi and its better treatment (and also nobody wants to be turned into a pig). While recruitment in other places is hinted at, the readers only get to experience the Chernobyl Islands recruitment. It sets its Chernobyl Islands recruitment tent on the Death Beach along the other academies. The academy’s entrance fee is 13 crystals, a test is also heavily hinted at, however Leylin bypasses it due to paying more than the fee. From the start, higher ranked Proficiency students are already given preferential treatment going as far as getting magical artifacts. The academy recruitment gives off creepy vibes making people wonder who on earth wants to go there (except MC) (Seriously get a PR team or something, welcoming kids with bone guy is not a very good idea). The new recruits are ferried across the death sea to the academy through an airship (Like the WW1 Blimps, Zeppelin or the Hindenburg). Upon arrival at the School which consists of a graveyard, and a huge tombstone (probably for setting up ambiance). They are then led to an old man to sort out who gets which professor. There are 2 options:

Despite the old man’s constant reminders of not changing teachers, changing teachers is possible at the risk of offending your previous teacher (many people have asked Leylin to be their student instead of Kroft’s).

The academy is backed by 3 families: the Lilytell Family, the Liliel Family and Redbud. The members of the families control a lot of the academy and get special treatment. They also like to rope newly advanced Magi into their families with Grine Water and spell models. Other families also get preferential treatment (less than the main 3).

Potion Masters are considered quite rare and sought after by the academy and many families as they provide huge profits. Geniuses such as Merlin are roped in with huge benefits, more advantageous than the academy’s.

Strength and Affiliations [ ]

The Abyssal Bone Forest Academy is a medium-sized power and part of the Dark Magi faction on the South Coast. While theoretically part of the same faction, Dark Magi frequently have wars against each other. The ABFA, while not being a powerhouse, has the power to hold off 2 competing academies at the same time. Its core strength are the Chairman Siley and the three houses. After the events of [insert everything in twilight and central continent arc], the ABFA is now mainly controlled by Nyssa while the houses have limited authority. While most of the ABFA’s strength is from acolytes, they nonetheless have powerful members such as Siley or Marb. The ABFA is closely related to the kingdom of Poolfield.

Though he has numerous sexual relationship with various ladies. He only has descendants with ladies he considers members of his ‘household’. Amongst them only Freya, Celine and Isabel has important supporting roles.

Freya [ ]

Leylin’s official wife, they first met when he joined Ouroboros after entering the Central Continent. Freya’s Blood Serpent Clan, the Faens Family had been declining in bloodline purity, which is why she sought him out. Prior to Leylin reaching Morning Star level she had relentlessly tried pursuing him with various gifts, such as offers for aiding in his Magus Tower or contribution tokens. After reaching crystal phase, she gifts Leylin with crystalized spiritual force, which helps him in his ascension to Morning Star. After Leylin reached Radiant Moon and evolved his bloodline to the Kemoyin Emperor and began producing his Farlier Family, he noted that the then unborn Syre was purifying her blood which would help her break through to Morning Star. After successfully breaking the bloodline shackles and becoming a pseudo rank 7 after consuming Beelzebub, he told Freya that he would be able to help her reach Breaking Dawn with his help. Leylin has always felt a little bit guilty because he can’t accompany her in life.

Celine [ ]

Leylin met Celine at the Twilight Zone, when he expressed his interest at the Icy Jade Scorpion Breath, which had the miraculous ability to negate the effects of the emotional instability of Warlocks, that was being sold at the Chamber of Commerce, Leylin met Celine, who was the seller of the item, Leylin then took over Nature’s Alliance, and took over all of Twilight Zone, in doing so became the Radiant Guardian of the area. However years after Leylin left the Twilight Zone, Celine was met with a heavy problem, a rank 3 Magus, Banker wanted to usurp Celine and her rule in the Nature’s Alliance, but before Banker completely took over Nature’s Alliance, he met Leylin, instantly being petrified by Leylin, as well as averting the crisis Celine was facing, Celine realized that she needed Leylin, falling in love with him. They had a child together, named Daniel Farlier.

Isabel [ ]

Cousin of Leylin Faulen (his clone), Leylin made her a dragon warlock because he wanted to hide her demonification process. [1] She is in love with Leylin. Though unconfirmed but he has descendants with her.

Chapter 1044: ”He would leave two blood descendants, to his cousin and the other ladies of his household. Perhaps that would be appropriate.”

It was the magus academy he attended. He left the academy as a rank 1 official magus due to his conflicts with the Lilytell Family and was renowned as a genius they should not have let go.

Four Seasons Garden [ ]

Leylin became a magus of Four Seasons Garden for its resources. It also served as to disguise himself as a member of light magi. He eventually betrayed Four Seasons Garden and his contract with Cabourn, a rank 2 dark magus for advancement to rank 2 magus.

Twilight Zone and Nature’s Alliance [ ]

Leylin arrived in Twilight Zone to escape South coast. He became the head of Nature’s Alliance with Celine as the figurehead when Celine asked for his assistance to strengthen the guild. He also merged numerous organizations under Nature’s Alliance to make Nature’s Alliance Academy. He later became the Guardian of the Realm and united the Twilight Zone regions.

Leylin joined the Ouroboros Clans to learn more from his own kin as a Kemoyin Serpent. He grew attached to his clan as he advanced to Morning Star and became its ruler, even the remaining elders Duke Gilbert and Duchess Emma acknowledged him as the sole ruler. He established the Farlier royal family of the Ouroboros Clan once his bloodline evolved to that of the Kemoyin Emperor.

Warlock Union [ ]

Leylin became a core member of the Warlock Union when he advanced to rank 5. He was equal in authority as the other Radiant Moons until he advanced to half rank 7, making him recognized as the king of the Union.

Farlier Family [ ]

Leylin is the current Patriarch of the Farlier Family.

Alabaster City [ ]

Leylin founded the Alabaster City, to watch over the gate and that connects the first level of Subterranean World and the South Coast. It was also founded because there was a need for something (or someone) to watch over the trade of both sides of the gate, making the one who governs the city to be able control the trade of both sides, and therefore, receive great benefits making it both a target of envy and hatred.

Faulen Family [ ]

Leylin’s clone was born into the Faulen Family in the World of the Gods to which he is the heir.

Scarlet Tigers [ ]

Leylin Faulen is both the founder and true leader of the Scarlet Tigers, which he founded by using the pirate prisoners of war from Black Tigers and by use of the carrot and stick method, was able to turn them into a decent pirate with some loyalty towards him. However as Leylin was unable to fully trust pirates like them as his men, and so had his cousin Isabel to be the pirate captain, while he was the one behind the shadows, supporting her in her journeys across the outer seas. The Scarlet Tigers also had a fleet with strength comparable to Leylin’s other fleet, the Imperial Navy of Port Venus but, and with Leylin’s conquest of Sakartes Empire on Debanks Island, the strength of the fleet became unmatched in the outer seas, even more than that of the imperial navy. The fleet became the imperial navy of the unnamed empire that Leylin founded on the newly conquered Debanks Island.

Giant Serpent Church [ ]

Leylin founded the Giant Serpent Church which worshiped him as Kukulkan, the God of Massacre, with its first pope, Tiff, and first saintess, Barbara.

Kukulkan’s Divine Kingdom : Debanks Islands and Baator [ ]

Leylin first became an Archdevil of Baator and the Emperor of the Faulen Empire on Debank Islands.

When Leylin ascended into godhood, he merged Debanks Islands and the first 3 levels of Baator for his divine kingdom. His divine kingdom eventually covered the entirety of Baator when he conquered and defeated the other Archdevils.

Leylin had seen most of his surroundings in that glimpse. The valuable velvet carpet, the silver crystal chandelier, the soft red brocade duvet, the large curtains embroidered with green daffodils, and lastly the numerous respectful maids and the wet nurse made it clear that Leylin was at least a minor noble in this world, or perhaps one with an even higher status.

After all, not every noble child’s birth would warrant the visit and protection of the regional bishop. [1]

his father Jonas was actually a highly accomplished leader. Upon arriving at his feudal property, not only did he actively open up new lands for agriculture, expand production processes, and breed numerous kinds of cash crops, but he also established a decent port on a remote island. Through providing potable water, food and maintenance services for boats that passed, it had slowly developed.

They had managed to resist a few pirate attacks, causing them to retreat.

Now, the Faulen leadership had already undergone earth-shattering changes as compared to before. Their land was acclaimed as the “ jewel off the coast of the kingdom ”, and it certainly led to veteran nobilities lusting after it.

However, all of this was still within the range of Jonas’ capabilities. At least there weren’t any intense conflicts at present, which made Leylin heave a sigh of relief. [2]

The Faulen family’s feudal lands were really huge. There was an independent farm, mill, stable, workshop, vegetable oil extraction factory and other facilities. There were even entire plots of fertile farmland that employed farmers, both male and female. [2]

The entire manor was able to supply flour, vinegar, wine and similar items in large quantities, as well as iron farm tools in smaller amounts. Even if they closed their doors to the outside world, they would still be self-sufficient for a very long period of time. [2]

Leylin viewed it as the typical economic situation of a feudal villa.

Due to the Faulen family’s short history, they still didn’t have the financial ability and physical resources to build their own castle. In actual fact, constructing a castle required the consumption of vast quantities of stone and food, and even the assistance of priests and numerous extraordinary beings. Even ancient noble families often did not have the money to finance a castle. [2]

Of course, once construction was complete, it would be the pride and symbol of the family.

The defensive abilities of castles belonging to noblemen in the World of Gods were top-notch. The castles were protected by spell formations, and even military troops wouldn’t be able to bring it down in a short span of time.

When interacting within the circle of nobility, one would often feel as though he was shorter than others by a head without a castle of their own. [2]

Initially a 3rd level Acolyte, Aaron is one of the first people Leylin meets in the Twilight Zone. At their meeting, Leylin saves Aaron party and forcibly scans their memories, thus damaging Aaron’s sea of consciousness and reducing his aptitude from 3 level to 2.

Aaron and the other acolytes had been lucky to survive Leylin’s reckless scanning of their soul. However, his random tampering of their memories had grave consequences. [1]

The development of magicians depended largely on their aptitude. Aaron’s original aptitude was not astounding, a mere grade 3. When it fell to grade 2, he felt as if the world began to crumble down on him.

He still remembered the regret and disappointment in his mentor’s eyes after the examination, as he said, “Perhaps an abnormal being attacked you leading to the demotion of your aptitude. It might never be reversed. Pity! What a pity!” [1]

With the drop in his aptitude, he turned from an acolyte with a bit of hope into a good-for-nothing.

After seeing Aaron’s state, his mentor did not beat around the bush, telling him directly that he no longer had the qualifications to train in a high-grade meditation technique.

Some high-grade meditation techniques had stringent requirements for those cultivating them, and currently, Aaron did not qualify to cultivate his.

After finding out that his aptitude had lowered and that he could not train in the high-grade meditation technique anymore, his relatives and former friends had shunned him. Even his fiancee had abandoned him!

The memory of her firmly leaning into another’s embrace as she looked at Aaron in disdain left him feeling like his chest would burst into flames.

What infuriated him further, even driving him into the pits of despair, was that his enemies in the guild had taken the opportunity to beat him up. There were even traces of evidence showing that woman pulling strings in the background, for him to be dispatched to a place like this.

Dolon City was at the frontlines of the war. Official Magi might be able to retreat calmly if the city fell, but level 3 acolytes like him had no chance!

In wartime, the army would be much more willing to give up on cannon fodder like him than on those of higher rank. Historically, an intense war like this would spell doom for over half the acolytes!

This leads to him being bullied in his guild and eventually being stationed on the front lines during Human-Dark Elf war as a cannon fodder.

When Leylin meets Aaron for the second time in a city besieged by Dark Elven army, he passes one of his pseudo-artifacts with an incomplete AI that teaches Aaron the Sacred Flame technique and guides him towards the end game planned by Leylin.

As the fate converges and the war reaches its peak, Aaron, due to the death of other Sacred Flame users, breaks through to the second rank and aids Baelin in killing Longbottom, before having his soul harvested by Leylin, who uses it to create a prophecy making artifact.

Warlock of the magus world

He along with his family member Robin, and allies Leylin and Kesha of the Ouroboros Clan explored the ancient ruins of the Quicksand Organization. Robins along with Noah’s goal was the Gluttony Imprint left by Beelzebub. The result was that he acquired it but was suffering outburst of hunger frequently so he eventually gave it to Noah. Noah later took Robin’s form and imprisoned him. Robin was freed by Leylin afterwards.

Under the spiritual contamination of the gluttony imprint Noah impersonated Robin, and he experienced a rapid increase in strength until he reached the Crystal-phase. As he gradually lost his mind, he got on the Ouroboros Clans enforcement squad and used any excuse to imprison and slaughter pureblood Kemoyin warlock families to consume them purefy his bloodline and improve his strength.
