EDIT: With a bit of tweaking (and a few game crashes) I figured out that you can add traits to the list of traits in the config file (found in Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\worldbox\worldbox_Data\StreamingAssets\Mods\selectiveBreedingSettings.json). Here’s a little guide for anyone else who wants to do the same thing.

Notes: The «100» in all of these means that there is a 100% chance of inheriting the trait. You can change this if you want. The comma at the end is only needed if the trait isn’t the last line in the list

Death Bomb: «death_bomb»: 100.0,
Death Nuke: «death_nuke»: 100.0,
Mark of Death: «mark_of_death»: 100.0 (I’m not positive about this one because even with fast population on, they die too quickly. But at least it doesn’t crash).
Super Health: «super_health»: 100.0,

Gun Mod Introduction :(I have made the following modifications and this is just a rough beta)

1, strong interaction material: building health is 10,000 times the original (to prevent being killed)

2. Regeneration technology: the probability of biological regeneration is 100%, and the regeneration recovery quantity is changed to 1000

3. Tough Management: The initial number of towns you can manage per race has been changed to 20

4, Army planning: all races have bias against weapons, manufacturing probability:

Humans: 3:3:2:1:1; The elves 2:4:2:1:1; The dwarf 2:1:3:2-2; The orc 2:1:1:3-3

(Rifles, Snipers, Shotguns, Flamethrowers, Ice Throwers)

5. Weapon modification:

There are 9 levels. Each level adds 10 attack, 10 attack speed, 5 move speed, 5 critical hits, 1000 health. Ranks 5, 7 and 9 add 1 bullet

6. Modification of armor

Each armor has no starting value, only a material bonus

There are 8 levels: + 5 attack, + 5 attack speed, + 3 defense, + 5 move speed, + 5 critical hit, + 1000 health per level

7. Accessories modified:

Like armor, there is no starting value, only material bonus

Attack level 8: + 5 attack, + 5 attack speed, + 10 movement speed, + 15 critical hit, + 1000 health/level

8. Bullets: Bullet speed has been changed from 15 to 200, Fire and Ice to 50

9. Balance: Other creatures have 50 times more health and 2 times more damage

Mod Description:

-This will let you create a family by using the create family power button on units. After the you use the power on the units, the unit and all of it’s children will be shown in the family window.
— If you inspect a member of a family, you will see a button on the bottom right that will show the unit’s children and parents.
-Also adds changing professions from civilian to warrior.

Family Tree Mod Guide:

— This guide contains how to use all of the features in Family Tree Mod.

1. How To Open The Family Tree Tab

a. Press the letter ‘J’ on your keyboard.

b. After pressing it, you will see that some tabs dissappeared and a new one came out.

c. Press on the tab that appeared and then you will see all of the features of Family Tree Mod.

2. How To Use The Family Features

a. To make a family you will first need a unit to start the tree. The unit can only be one of these human/orc/dwarf/elf.

Note that the unit must be apart of a kingdom or village.

b. Then you will look into the Family Tree Mod Tab and find the first button called «Create A Family».

c. Press that button and hover over the unit while holding left click.

d. Once you do that a message will appear at the top of your screen «Name Has Created A Family!».

e. To confirm that a family has been created, go to the Family Tree Mod tab and click on the second button called «Family Overview».

f. There should be a window that will appear containing the banner of the unit and the unit’s name. If you see it, you have successfully created a family.

g. You are now able to press on the banner and look at certain info about the family and the family tree.

Note that to see the family tree, you will need to open the «Family Overview» and select the family banner. You will then see to the right of the window is a button

press it and you will be directed to the family tree.

3. How To Save And Load A Family In A World

— This is very important because once you leave a world that has families, they will not save when you return to the world. In order to prevent that

you must save and load the families in that world.

a. To save families, you must first save the world that holds the units with families.

b. Once you saved the world, go into the Family Tree Mod Tab and search for a button called «Save Families».

c. Press that button and a message should appear saying «Families Have Been Saved Into A File». If you see a message that is different then you have failed to save

and must refer back to step a.

d. Now that you have saved a family, you will now learn how to load the family when you return to your world.

e. Go to the world that you have saved the families on and go into the Family Tree Mod Tab. Search for the button called «Load Families» and press it.

f. After pressing it, a message will appear that says «Families Have Been Loaded From Save File». If you see a message that is different then you have failed to load

the families, either because you didn’t save correctly or some other error.

g. If you got all of that correctly you should be able to save and load families from any world you want.

4. How To Use Set Civilian

a. Go to the Family Tree Mod Tab and find the button called «Set Civilian».

b. Press the button and set your brush size.

c. Hover your mouse over some units that are apart of a village and hold left click.

d. All units that you hovered over will become civilians in their village.

a. Go to the Family Tree Mod Tab and find the button called «Set Warrior».

b. Press the button and set your brush size.

c. Hover your mouse over some units that are apart of a village and hold left click.

d. All units that you hovered over will become warriors in their village.

5. How To Use Search Unit

— This feature is intended to be like a leaderboard for units in your world. It will display units who have the highest damage, level, or kills.

a. Go to the Family Tree Mod Tab and find the button called «Search Unit».

b. Press the button and a window will appear with 3 buttons on the right side.

c. Click on one of the buttons to see their leaderboard.

d. The sword icon will show the leaderboard for the highest damage of a unit.

e. The skull icon will show the leaderboard for the highest kills of a unit.

f. The LV icon will show the leaderboard for the highest leveled unit.

6. How To Use Edit Culture

— This feature allows the user to add or remove tech from any culture within the world.

a. Go to the Family Tree Mod Tab and find the button called «Edit Cultures».

b. Press the button and a winow will appear with a list of all the culture’s names.

c. Press the name of the culture that you want to edit and you will be redirected to a window that has a list of buttons.

d. These buttons are various techs that you can add or remove from the culture you selected.

e. Press on the buttons and if the circle above them is green then that means it is added to the culture. However

if the circle is grey then it is not in the culture.

Version 2.2.0 adds a new Stat Limiter window that allows you to globally limit the stats of units. It’s fully made by @dej, who despite making the entire system himself, offered to place it in Boxcraft simply because I had the idea. Please check out his amazing mods such as Family Tree Mod!

I’ll be showing you how to install 3 different mod types for 4 different mod loaders:
BepInEx, NCMS, the native mod loader, and Assembly C-Sharp.
All except Assembly C-Sharp can be used at the same time, so no need to worry about deleting one for the other to work(except for Assembly C-Sharp).

The guide is separated into 6 sections:

NCMS allows you to install mods that’re .mod video files

Assembly C-Sharp replaces the original Assembly C-Sharp file

Make sure to look at the attached images throughout the guide to understand what you’re doing! The locations of the files can be seen at the top of posted images!

A Extraction/Unzipping tool like 7zip is required. 7zip 64-bit x64 is linked here for free.
After downloading 7zip, launch it, wait for it to finish installing, then close it. It’ll run passively in your folders and allow you to extract/unzip folders and do the opposite to them.

Recently there’s been some silly drama on our site that was sparked by someone uploading a mod for Spider-Man Remastered. The mod replaced the very few Pride flags the game actually has with the already prevalent USA flag texture from the game. The mod was removed from Nexus Mods and the author was banned.

To address the banning, which is what a lot of people want to focus on, the mod was uploaded by a sock puppet account (i.e. a newly made account by someone who already has an accou.

Did you know that our site started out as a fansite for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind? That’s right, and that was back in 2001 when the site launched under the name «Morrowind Chronicles» in anticipation of and leading up to the game’s release exactly 20 years ag.

As some of you may already be aware, the Bethesda.net launcher is being shut down next month and players are being offered the chance to migrate their games and other content to Steam.

Luckily, Bethesda has already made both the Fallout 4 and Skyrim Sp.

Starfield, the first game in a brand new series from Bethesda Game Studios, is coming to PC and Xbox in November and while that may seem to be a long way off yet, we’re already excitedly preparing for the release.

Update 12 May 2022: Bethesda has announced on Twitter that Starfield has been delayed until the first half of 2023.

If you haven’t heard about it yet, Starfield is going to be the debut entry in an entirely new franchise and marks the first single-player RPG.

In the feature, we are looking at a very special project for the game Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. The mod in question is called «Life in Calradia» by the author OneDrop. If you haven’t played Bannerlord, it is a medieval-style action strategy game involving the huge world map of Calradia, several factions inspired by human history, hundreds of Nobles, and an assortment of beautifully created towns, castles, and villages.

Recently there’s been some silly drama on our site that was sparked by someone uploading a mod for Spider-Man Remastered. The mod replaced the very few Pride flags the game actually has with the already prevalent USA flag texture from the game. The mod was removed from Nexus Mods and the author was banned.

To address the banning, which is what a lot of people want to focus on, the mod was uploaded by a sock puppet account (i.e. a newly made account by someone who already has an accou.

Morrowind is turning 20 today! To celebrate this anniversary, our good friend darkelfguy is running a special edition of his yearly Morrowind May Modathon and we’re also giving away fabulous prizes in our Morrowind quiz!

Did you know that our site started out as a fansite for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind? That’s right, and that was back in 2001 when the site launched under the name «Morrowind Chronicles» in anticipation of and leading up to the game’s release exactly 20 years ag.

As some of you may already be aware, the Bethesda.net launcher is being shut down next month and players are being offered the chance to migrate their games and other content to Steam.

Luckily, Bethesda has already made both the Fallout 4 and Skyrim Sp.

Starfield, the first game in a brand new series from Bethesda Game Studios, is coming to PC and Xbox in November and while that may seem to be a long way off yet, we’re already excitedly preparing for the release.

Update 12 May 2022: Bethesda has announced on Twitter that Starfield has been delayed until the first half of 2023.

If you haven’t heard about it yet, Starfield is going to be the debut entry in an entirely new franchise and marks the first single-player RPG.

In the feature, we are looking at a very special project for the game Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. The mod in question is called «Life in Calradia» by the author OneDrop. If you haven’t played Bannerlord, it is a medieval-style action strategy game involving the huge world map of Calradia, several factions inspired by human history, hundreds of Nobles, and an assortment of beautifully created towns, castles, and villages.

However, those of you who have played will know that one.

I’m sure you’re all aware of the horrible assault on Ukraine that started on 24 February. Along with the leadership and people of the vast majority of countries in the world, we strongly condemn this unprovoked attack on another sovereign nation at the orders of Russian president Vladimir Putin.

At this moment the people of Ukraine are suffering the consequences of Putin’s war of aggression which is bringing nothing but death, destruction, and displacement to countless familie.

Happy (belated) new year everyone! For most people around the world, 2021 was still very much a year affected by the pandemic, so it probably won’t make its way into any «Top 10 Best Years Ever» lists anytime soon. Looking at our site usage data and overall statistics, however, 2021 was indeed a very good year in terms of site growth. We’re happy to say we’re now serving more users and hosting more mods for many more games!

Today, our upcoming Collections feature is moving into the Open Alpha testing phase. This means we’re extending an open invitation to anyone in the community who would like to try out an early build of the system so that we can continue to fine-tune it for the full, public release.

This new wave of volunteers will join our existing testers who have already provided lots of incredibly valuable feedback over the past few months to help us in shaping the core experience of the Collectio.

This is more like a set of feature requests for a future version of WorldBox. Implementations are generally sloppy and the new traits don’t show good explanations in the tooltips.

##Tiles:
Roads degenerate a little faster and leaves low soil tiles behind.
Hills can be built on.

##Units:
Humans have the ‘pyromaniac’ trait by default. ‘Pyromaniac’ also mutates a unit into a unit of a different race. (A new village can be built by a unit of a different race. As a result, for example, there may be an elf village belonging to a human kingdom.)
Elves have the ‘eagle_eyed’ trait, not the ‘weightless’ trait by default.
Orcs do not have the ‘regeneration’ trait by default. They are given the ‘giant’ trait instead.
Large boats attack enemy boats.

##Traits:
‘Immortal’ is downward compatible with ‘immune’.
‘Regeneration’ usually restores health five times faster and keeps a unit from starving. It also prevents the ‘crippled’ and some other negative traits. (That’s a huge advantage and thus is no longer given to orcs by default.)
‘Robust’ has been added. It is roughly half as protective as the bubble shield and hike up the max health. (It is recommended that you add that to your favorite units. ‘Robust’ helps a unit survive but that alone does not let it as a king or a leader overwhelm other kingdoms.)
‘Weightless’ lets a unit fly. (There are considerable workarounds added to make a unit fly and engage themselves in combat both on the land and in the ocean. To keep the game running smoothly, no unit is intended to have this trait by birth. Make your favorite king fly.)
‘Titan’-holders walk across oceans and flattens landscape at certain times and converts places into farm fields when foods are scarce in a city. Well fed, they drop poops (a greenish grey matter) and create new tiles of land along the shoreline.

The biomes, can spawn by themselves on world generation. The creatures will spawn accordingly to their biomes.

The mod is not even close to being done. MANY MORE UPDATES TO COME!

Simple guide:

1: Download and run this exe

2. Check that C:\Program Files (x86)\WorldBox exists and contains worldbox.exe. If it doesn’t, click the 3 dots button next to «Folder Containing WorldBox exe» and locate the folder that contains your worldbox exe/worldbox installation and select it.

3. Click the 3 dots next to «Mod DLL» and select the appropriate mod file that ends in dll that you downloaded from the discord.

4. Click the big red button that says «INSTALL MOD», and hopefully it worked!

Some Notes:

1. Certain mods like BETTERGUI have additional files beyond the mod dll, you may need to install/place those files manually. If the bepinex mod has any other file than a dll, then those files will need to be installed manually.

2. This does not work with «Assembly-CSharp» mods (file with the name «Assembly-CSharp.dll») those mods are easily installed with a simple file replace.

3. If you have any errors or issues feel free to ping me, I would first try running the exe as an administrator in-case of file permission errors. If your antivirus picks it up like mine does, don’t be alarmed its completely harmless.

4. This mod installer has radical worldbox logo and name and labels, however this should work for any unity game with bepinex mods.

— Witch Queen: makes a unit super strong, immortal, and gives them the ability to control and spawn ghosts, skeletons, and other cursed creatures

Recently there’s been some silly drama on our site that was sparked by someone uploading a mod for Spider-Man Remastered. The mod replaced the very few Pride flags the game actually has with the already prevalent USA flag texture from the game. The mod was removed from Nexus Mods and the author was banned.

To address the banning, which is what a lot of people want to focus on, the mod was uploaded by a sock puppet account (i.e. a newly made account by someone who already has an accou.

Fallout: London is a highly ambitious project aimed at creating the city of London (post-apocalypse of course) in Fallout 4. They have been showcasing their development since their announcement and have recently released a gameplay trailer. Morrowind is turning 20 today! To celebrate this anniversary, our good friend darkelfguy is running a special edition of his yearly Morrowind May Modathon and we’re also giving away fabulous prizes in our Morrowind quiz!

Did you know that our site started out as a fansite for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind? That’s right, and that was back in 2001 when the site launched under the name «Morrowind Chronicles» in anticipation of and leading up to the game’s release exactly 20 years ag.

As some of you may already be aware, the Bethesda.net launcher is being shut down next month and players are being offered the chance to migrate their games and other content to Steam.

Luckily, Bethesda has already made both the Fallout 4 and Skyrim Sp.

Starfield, the first game in a brand new series from Bethesda Game Studios, is coming to PC and Xbox in November and while that may seem to be a long way off yet, we’re already excitedly preparing for the release.

Update 12 May 2022: Bethesda has announced on Twitter that Starfield has been delayed until the first half of 2023.

If you haven’t heard about it yet, Starfield is going to be the debut entry in an entirely new franchise and marks the first single-player RPG.

In the feature, we are looking at a very special project for the game Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. The mod in question is called «Life in Calradia» by the author OneDrop. If you haven’t played Bannerlord, it is a medieval-style action strategy game involving the huge world map of Calradia, several factions inspired by human history, hundreds of Nobles, and an assortment of beautifully created towns, castles, and villages.

However, those of you who have played will know that one.

I’m sure you’re all aware of the horrible assault on Ukraine that started on 24 February. Along with the leadership and people of the vast majority of countries in the world, we strongly condemn this unprovoked attack on another sovereign nation at the orders of Russian president Vladimir Putin.

At this moment the people of Ukraine are suffering the consequences of Putin’s war of aggression which is bringing nothing but death, destruction, and displacement to countless familie.

Happy (belated) new year everyone! For most people around the world, 2021 was still very much a year affected by the pandemic, so it probably won’t make its way into any «Top 10 Best Years Ever» lists anytime soon. Looking at our site usage data and overall statistics, however, 2021 was indeed a very good year in terms of site growth. We’re happy to say we’re now serving more users and hosting more mods for many more games!

The Morrowind Modjam is back!
