WorldEditSelectionVisualizer
1.9 Compatibility
The latest download is not compatible with Minecraft/Bukkit/Spigot version 1.9 yet and I’m not sure if I want to continue development of the plugin. ZathrusWriter made an unofficial update of the plugin that seems to work fine (although I haven’t tested it). You can find the download for that here.
Overview
WorldEditSelectionVisualizer (WESV) is essentially the famous WorldEditCUI mod in the form of a bukkit plugin, which means that players don’t need to install anything on their client.
Features
Documentation
Detailed documentation about the available permissions and configuration options is available on the documentation page.
ProtocolLib
This plugin has optional support for ProtocolLib (Jenkins build #74+). If you want to see particles from distances > 16, you need to have it installed and enabled in the configuration (see Documentation).
Screenshots
Credits and Metrics
This plugin uses darkblade12’s ParticleEffect library to spawn the particles. It also anonymously collects statistics via MCStats Plugin Metrics. You can read about the data that is being collected here. You can see the statistics here.
Comments
Hi! Can you add Feudal compatibility?
It looks like you’re using Minecraft version 1.9, which the plugin isn’t compatible with. Someone else updated my plugin, you can download that here: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/worldeditselectionvisualizer.17311/
There are detailed descriptions of the configuration options on this page.
Also, I added the option because I sometimes like the outlines to stay on.
Anyway, glad I could help.
There should be a «checkForAxe» option in the config that has to be set to «true». Do you have that? Also, which two versions of the plugin did you use?
Pretty slim. Keeping stuff backwards compatible hasn’t really been a nice experience so far. Also AFAIK Minecraft versions Rollback Post to Revision RollBack
What are the chances for a 1.7 compatible version using Protocol lib for >16 distance?
I’m wondering the same thing. How is it for people running Minecraft on potatoes?
Ok thank for answer
I can’t reproduce this. ProtocolLib 3.6.4 and 3.6.5-SNAPSHOT work fine with WESV 1.4.2 for me.
I’m sorry, you’ll just have to update to WorldEdit 6. I can’t support these old versions, because there’s no official way to downgrade to a 1.7 server and WorldEdit 5.6.3 is only meant to run on 1.7 servers.
Hi, I can not use your plugin. I try with spigot 1.8.7, 1.8.3, 1.8.0, and version 1.4.2 and 1.3.6, alaways the same error :
[Server thread/WARN]: [WorldEditSelectionVisualizer] Task #18 for WorldEditSelectionVisualizer v1.3.6 generated an exception java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.sk89q.worldedit.WorldEdit.getSessionManager()Lcom/sk89q/worldedit/session/SessionManager; at com.rojel.wesv.WorldEditHelper.getSelectedRegion(WorldEditHelper.java:56) [. ] at com.rojel.wesv.WorldEditHelper$1.run(WorldEditHelper.java:39) [. ] at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.v1_8_R1.scheduler.CraftTask.run(CraftTask.java:71) [Spigot-1.8.0.jar:git-Spigot-c3c767f-33d5de3] at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.v1_8_R1.scheduler.CraftScheduler.mainThreadHeartbeat(CraftScheduler.java:350) [Spigot-1.8.0.jar:git-Spigot-c3c767f-33d5de3] at net.minecraft.server.v1_8_R1.MinecraftServer.z(MinecraftServer.java:709) [Spigot-1.8.0.jar:git-Spigot-c3c767f-33d5de3] at net.minecraft.server.v1_8_R1.DedicatedServer.z(DedicatedServer.java:316) [Spigot-1.8.0.jar:git-Spigot-c3c767f-33d5de3] at net.minecraft.server.v1_8_R1.MinecraftServer.y(MinecraftServer.java:634) [Spigot-1.8.0.jar:git-Spigot-c3c767f-33d5de3] at net.minecraft.server.v1_8_R1.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:537) [Spigot-1.8.0.jar:git-Spigot-c3c767f-33d5de3] at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:744) [?:1.7.0_55]
Oh yeah I made something like this just for fun because I got bored. But mine doesn’t have all the fancy stuff, no particle > 16 distance, only cuboid selections. But mine has a nice GUI to allow you to change the color of the particles. And the ability for admins to see other player’s regions.
Update is needed, new ProtocolLib builds (don’t know exactly when) don’t have com/comphenix/protocol/wrappers/EnumWrappers$Particle class
I am trying to use your plugin with bukkit 1.7.9 and having issues it appears to be dropping an error nonstop but also it only shows the particles if I type /wesv to disable then again type /wesv to reenable the plugin. I would prefer it auto updates the status of the particles and selection. I have tweaked the numbers for the server polling to see if selection or particles have changed, but changing those values did nothing.
Can you include a command to force it to turn off, not just a toggle as I am using it in combination with other plugins. Like /wesv off to force it off and vice versa?
//wand — Дает вам «палочку редактирования» (мотыгу). С помощью этой палки вы сможете выделить зону редактирования.
//pos1 — Выделяет позицию №1. Помимо мотыги, с помощью которой вы выделяете территорию, есть альтернатива — это команды //pos
//pos2 — Выделяет позицию №2.
//set — ставит в выбранной вами области указанный блок. После выбора территории с помощью команд //pos1, //pos2 вы сможете заставить ее указанным блоком ( нужно указать ID блока ).
//replace — заменяет все блоки, входящие в территорию. Сначало вы указываете, какой блок заменить, потом на какой блок заменить.
//copy — копирует выбранную вами область.
//cut — вырезает выбранный вами регион.
//paste — вставляет ранее сканированную/вырезанную вами область.
//sphere — создает сферу из указанных блоков, с указанным радиусом.
//hsphere — создает пустую сферу.
//desel — отменяет текущее выделение.
Installation¶
Requirements¶
WorldEdit runs on a variety of Minecraft platforms which support plugins or mods. The officially supported platforms are Bukkit, Forge, Fabric, and Sponge. You will need one of these platforms to run WorldEdit.
For single-player use, you’ll need to download and install either Minecraft Forge or Fabric, depending on what other mods you plan on using.
If you plan on running WorldEdit on a “vanilla” server, we recommend using a Bukkit implementation such as Paper or optionally Spigot. (Paper is a fork of the Spigot project which adds many improvements that WorldEdit can take advantage of.)
If you plan on running WorldEdit on a modded server, you can once again use Forge, or use Sponge, which is generally compatible with Forge mods, and also supports a wide variety of other plugins.
Note that there are unofficial implementations of WorldEdit for other platforms.
Installation¶
Bukkit¶
Once you’ve set up your Bukkit server (instructions can be found on the respective Paper/Spigot sites), download WorldEdit from the Bukkit dev site. Make sure you get the right WorldEdit download for your Minecraft version.
Check your server log for errors. If you encounter errors, see the FAQ page.
Forge Single-Player¶
If you encounter any errors, see the FAQ page.
Fabric Single-Player or Server¶
First, you’ll have to install Fabric. They have instructions on their website depending on how you’d like to install. The MultiMC instructions are recommended for single-player.
Forge Server / Sponge¶
Check your server log for errors. If you encounter errors, see the FAQ page.
Want to see selection lines?¶
To see lines that show what you have selected, then you need to install WorldEditCUI, a client-side mod. Note that the mod requires Fabric, so you will need to install that first.
If you would like to use an older version of Minecraft (1.12 or before), in addition to downloading an older WorldEdit (version 6), you will also need the older WorldEditCUI mod by Mumfrey. Note that this version requires LiteLoader (installation instructions on that page) instead of Fabric.
Don’t want to install client mods? You can access a limited version of the selection outlines server-side via the //drawsel command. It only works for cuboid selections less than 32x32x32 in size, and you must be in creative mode. These restrictions are due to how structure blocks work in Minecraft.

README.md
WorldEdit is Minecraft mod that turns Minecraft into an in-game map editor (sorta, kinda).
WorldEdit is open source!, so if you’ve just learned how to make a button blink, I probably recommend picking up a book on CS algorithms. The project is licensed using the GNU Lesser General Public License license, v3.
See COMPILING.md for a guide on compiling WorldEdit.
We happily accept contributions, especially through pull requests on GitHub. Submissions must be licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.
Minecraft PE
Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

README.md
WorldEdit is a voxel and block manipulation library for Minecraft. It is primarily a library but bindings to Bukkit (included) and SPC (external) are available.
Some dependencies are required:
We happily accept contributions. The best way to do this is to fork WorldEdit on GitHub, add your changes, and then submit a pull request. We’ll look at it, make comments, and merge it into WorldEdit if everything works out.
Your submissions have to be licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.
If you are making a command, you need to add the new command to plugin.yml if you are using Bukkit. However, com.sk89q.worldedit.dev.DocumentationPrinter is a program that will generate plugin.yml by using Java reflection on the command classes. Commands are given an edit session automatically (with queue enabled) and so there’s not much to set up. If you want to add a new class altogether that contains commands, you need to update the constructor of com.sk89q.worldedit.WorldEdit load your class.
com.sk89q.worldedit.WorldEdit.getBlock handles the block syntax (such as sign:3|Hi|there! ). com.sk89q.worldedit.WorldEdit.getBlockPattern handles the pattern syntax (such as 90%rock,10%brick or #clipboard ).
WorldEdit is well organized and uses abstraction heavily to make adding new things easy. An explanation of WorldEdit’s package layout is as follows:

This is a very simple Plugin that allows users (maybe your donators) that have creative to use Worldedit in WorldGaurd regions where they are owners to.
How it works
(I will assume you understand how to use WorldEdit)
WorldEdit block updates are only applied to WorldGaurd regions that the player is owner to.
For Moderators: please make sure you understand WorldGaurd and how to define a region and set the player to owner of this region.
The players will still have to have all the required permissions to use worldedit.
This plugin now supports all worldedit commands

This chapter elaborates functionality within booleans & how to use them.
Some commands accept boolean expressions, allowing you to change the conditions of the command. To use boolean expressions you have to know and use the right variables.
Boolean expressions work like this: => t checks if there’s a tile. | => t = dirt checks if the tile is dirt.
With boolean expressions you can do stuff like this:
//set dirt => t = stone.
This would change every stone in the selected area to dirt.
Another example:
//setwall wood => tp = green
This would add a wood wall to every green painted tile in the selected area.

World edit plugin

README.md
WorldEdit is a voxel and block manipulation library for Minecraft. It is primarily a library but bindings to Bukkit (included) and SPC (external) are available.
You need to have Maven installed (http://maven.apache.org). Once installed, simply run:
Maven will automatically download dependencies for you. Note: For that to work, be sure to add Maven to your «PATH».
