WORLD OF HORROR – атмосферный игровой проект, который является отличным представителем жанра хоррор-РПГ с элементами рогалика. Основная задача в игре заключается во внимательном прочтении текста на фоне определенной анимации. Есть в игре и линия сюжета с неожиданным поворотами событий. Она поведает нам о том, что небольшой и некогда процветающий городок на территории Японии стали терроризировать жуткие, беспощадные монстры, и теперь реальность для его жителей потеряла всякий смысл. Старые боги пробудились, чтобы усталость свой многовековой голод. Человечество постепенно стало осознавать, что выиграть в этой жестокой и далеко неравной битве практически нет шансов. Неизвестно, что именно случилось, но мир начал понемногу погружаться в безумие и хаос, и первыми в эту атмосферу проникли жители города Сиокаве. Тут начало твориться такое, что трудно описаться словами. Ходят слухи. будто это сами Боги решили наказать людей и уничтожить их – но это лишь теория. Ну а вам же предстоит в этой игре взять под контроль одного из персонажей и отправиться на просторы этого мира и попробовать выжить, погрузившись в череду невероятных событий. Выбирайте персонажа и отправляйтесь в путь, и помните, впереди вас не ждет ничего хорошего…

Самое ж главное достоинство этой игры, это атмосфера, переполненная ужасами и кошмарами. Мрачный черно-белый стиль оформления игры, ужасные сцены, в которых люди изображены в виде разлагающихся монстров, события, от которых порою мурашки бегут по коже – все это создает действительно пугающую атмосферу. Но и это еще не все. Помимо этого, вам придется еще и контактировать с ними, и от вашего контакта будет зависеть, что будет происходить с вашим персонажем. Кстати, всего в WORLD OF HORROR в вашем распоряжении будет пять персонажей, и каждый со своей уникальной историей.

WORLD OF HORROR – ролевое приключение с пошаговыми сражениями с разнообразными врагами и элементами рогалика, выполненное в однобитной графике с использованием только чёрного и белого цвета. Сеттинг игры вдохновлён рассказами популярных писателей Дзюндзи Ито и Говарда Филлипса Лавкрафта. Пост-апокалиптический мир наполнен громадным числом фентезийных особенностей, что отражается и в сюжетной линии, в которой игрок окажется в самой гуще событий. Инди-проект, разрабатываемый небольшой группой программистов, имеет 5 главных героев на выбор, который повлияет на дальнейший игровой процесс, ведь каждый персонаж уникален в своих характеристиках.

На пути к финальным сценам проекта «Мир Хоррора» однопользовательской кампании, геймеру предстоит пройти через серию случайных встреч с многообразными монстрами и сразить их в пошаговом бою с неограниченным временем на раздумья. Это позволяет лучше продумать каждое движение и принять правильное решение. Помимо сражений, игроку предлагается разгадывать всевозможные головоломки, строящиеся по разным принципам для увлечения пользователя. Нелинейность геймплея приводит к тому, что каждая реплика, сказанная протагонистом и сделанное движение, приводит к разным последствиям и окончаниям сюжетных арок.

Говорите графика не самое важное? А как насчет того, чтобы попробовать 1-битный приключенческий хоррор. Ужас Сиокавы. Обзор раннего доступа World of Horror

Наверняка многие любители хорроров задавались мыслью: что было бы, если Говард Лавкрафт в конце 19 века родился не в Америке, а в Японии? Учитывая любовь японцев к странным и жутким монстрам, то мы бы получили ядрёную смесь из классической готики и традиционного японского колорита. В этот раз Древние боги решили пробудиться не во времена «ревущих 20х», а в середине японских 80-х, с началом расцвета цифровой эры. Противостоянию различным монстрам и прислужникам Древних как раз и посвящена игра World of Horror. Сейчас она находится в раннем доступе, но уже содержит приличное количество контента, не имея при этом кучи багов в анамнезе.

Игра принадлежит к традиционному для того времени жанру – текстовой RPG. Все взаимодействие осуществляется при помощи нескольких небольших разделов меню и основного экрана. В основном, мы занимаемся тем, что читаем тексты, наслаждаемся очередным портретным гуро какого-нибудь монстра и совершаем выборы из доступных вариантов, которых бывает обычно не больше трех. К тому же, наличие многих опций зависят от того есть ли у героя те или иные предметы или перки.

Но трусость в игре наказуема, поскольку избегание сражений, как правило, повышает глобальный счетчик «безысходности».(Doom) Если он дойдет до 100%, то Древний вернется на бренную Землю и всему человечеству настанет неиллюзорный… конец. Чтобы этого не допустить, нужно найти пять «ключей», которые открывают дверь, ведущую на вершину таинственного маяка, где предположительно, кроется источник всех сверхъестественных и прочих бед. Чтобы отыскать ключи, необходимо вплотную заняться решениями местных проблем, которые собраны в виде пяти «дел»(Mystery).

Завершив дело, победив очередного противника или успешно пройдя случайное событие, ваш персонаж получает очки опыта. Заработав достаточное их количество, герой получает новый уровень, который можно потратить на перки, дающие прибавку к навыкам и открывающие новые пути решение тех или иных ситуаций. Также можно повысить одну из пяти основных характеристик: силу, ловкость, восприятие, знания, харизму или удачу, которые используются для проверки успешности разных действий. Если же вам они по какой-то причине не нужны, то вместо них можно частично восстановить запас выносливости или рассудка. Смысла в этом немало, поскольку обычно они восполняются либо за счет определенных вещей, которые можно купить в магазинах за деньги (Funds), либо определенных событий. При этом рассудок и выносливость надо беречь, поскольку сохранение в игре одно, а каждое расследование по ходу забега может здорово подорвать здоровье и психику персонажа.

Так как игра находится в раннем доступе, то различных дел пока что не много, и они часто повторяются во время новых прохождений. Остается надеется, что разработчик игры, Panstasz, будет почаще выпускать новый контент для игры, но надежды на это не очень много, поскольку у создателя World of Horror получается нагонять на своих фанатов хтонического ужаса не хуже, чем у Древних богов, за счет внезапных исчезновений и радиомолчания по многу недель и даже месяцев. Последнее обновление (02.12) и вовсе вышло спустя почти год после объявленной даты, когда уже начали сдаваться самые стойкие из фанатов. Сейчас разработчик делится новой информацией чаще, но кто знает, долго ли это продлиться…

Но у World of Horror пока что хватает собственного контента: после прохождений можно заработать различные достижения, открывающие новых персонажей, предыстории (backgrounds), предметы, союзников и игровые режимы, при помощи которых можно настраивать новый забег против хтонических сущностей. Игра, в целом, позволяет тонко настроить своё будущее прохождение, вместе с уровнями сложности и выбором одного из древних богов, каждый из которых по-своему влияет на всю игру. Например, заставляя увеличивать счетчик безысходности за каждое используемое заклинание.

Игра в текущей версии не переведена русский, однако английский в игре достаточно простой, чтобы не приходилось постоянно обращаться к словарям. Текст в игре встречается постоянно, но выдается всегда дозировано, не перегружая простынями описаний. Когда вы откроете дверь маяка помните – это ещё не конец истории. Ведь ещё нужно забраться на вершину. И кто знает, что вас там поджидает на каждом этаже…

Стильный однобитный ужастик World of Horror бодро стартовал в раннем доступе, но затем у разработчика-одиночки что-то пошло не по плану: игра не получала контентных апдейтов больше года. К счастью, теперь это исправлено — для World of Horror выпустили крупное обновление.

Судя по комментариям автора, апдейт 0.9.84, The Ceaseless Curse, — самый большой на данный момент. Среди основных особенностей:

Кажется, World of Horror относительно близка к релизу: в своём «Твиттере» разработчик пишет, что скоро сможет анонсировать дату выхода версии для Switch. А так как на Switch обычно не выпускают ранний доступ, для PC это должно означать хорошие новости.

Сейчас World of Horror обитает только на компьютерах (Steam, GOG.com, Itch.io). Финальная версия ожидается на PC, Switch и PlayStation.

Обзор игры World of Horror: внебрачный сын азиатского хоррора и рогалика

World of Horror — это отличная rogue-like RPG от польского независимого разработчика Panstasz в духе олдскульных текстовых приключений, приправленная артом, явно вдохновленным творчеством Дзюндзи Ито. Однобитная графика полностью нарисована в Paint и снабжена соответствующим стилю саундтреком.

Игра просто сумасшедшая. Серьезно.

В этой игре настолько большое количество контента, что с каждым последующим заходом я узнавал все новые и новые элементы игровой механики, способы прохождения некоторых игровых событий и глубже погружался в мир игры. Поначалу я боялся, что порог вхождения в игру окажется слишком высоким, и я заброшу ее, несмотря на манящий арт дизайн. Но по итогу, благодаря грамотно написанным туториалам внутри игры и гибкой настройке уровня сложности, все оказалось куда как проще.

В игре нам необходимо разгадать пять тайн до того, как окончательная погибель будет обрушена на весь мир или же что-то плохое произойдет с персонажем (например сумасшествие или смерть). В процессе расследований можно заниматься сопутствующими делами, например, можно сгонять в больничку и подлечиться, поболтать с местными школьниками о происходящем вокруг, или просто закупиться полезными предметами. Само собой, в игре куда как больше действий, некоторые из которых даже влияют на сюжет. Сам сюжет тоже может повлиять на эти самые действия: например, вода может превратиться в черную тягучую жижу, из-за чего персонажу станет сложно расслабляться в ванне, а это — один из немногих способов восстановить своё ментальное состояние в игре.

Всего в игре более сотни возможных событий, вся прелесть которых раскрывается в кастомном режиме, который можно настроить как угодно. Так, например, игра может вообще стать бесконечной. Думаю, это будет интересно тем, кто просто хочет посмотреть, сколько же он сможет прожить в мире игры.

Как мне кажется, музыкальная и визуальная составляющие игры — её сильнейшая часть. Да чего уж говорить, я моментально влюбился в нее, как только увидел этот шикарный арт, так сильно напоминающий о творчестве Ито. А уж когда я узнал, что все вот это вот было нарисовано в Paint… В общем, я был впечатлен. Музыка действительно создает необходимую атмосферу, и если говорить честно, в определенные моменты действительно пугала меня, возможно даже сильнее чем изображения передо мной.

Подводя итоги, хотелось бы сказать, что это действительно очень интересный проект, сочетающий в себе колорит азиатских хорров, жуткую атмосферу, потрясающий саундтрек и визуальный стиль. Надеюсь, что игра со временем расцветет и станет проектом, который бы я мог порекомендовать всем любителям хороших хорроров.

This is a complete guide for obtaining every achievement currently available in World of Horror, with some tips on how to get each one.

This guide is packed full of spoilers, so reader beware! Use the Table of Contents to jump to a single achievement if you don’t want to spoil anything for yourself.

Have 30 Cigarettes in your inventory at once.

This one is pretty easy. Start an Easy difficulty game as Haru (the Yakuza guy), go into the change clothes room and click the little toy thing in the top left to get 1 free FND, and go to the shop. Simply keep rerolling stock/going into and out of the shop until you can buy two more units of Cigarettes, then «use» all three in your inventory (since you start with one).

Unlocks Foreign Cigarettes.

Purify 2 locations in one playthrough.

With a Holy Candle in your inventory, certain random events can call for using it to purify a location. You only need one Holy Candle; it is not used up when purifying a location. The places I found to purify were in the Mansion during the VICIOUS VERSES OF A VIOLENT VIGIL case, and one random location while investigating the School. There are other events/places that you can purify, those are just the two I recall.

This unlocks the Monument location, where you can trade STAMINA to lower DOOM. Thanks to General Charm for the tip!

Defeat an enemy with the Baseball Bat.

This achievement was bugged in the launch version, but it’s now working properly. Simply get the Baseball Bat weapon from the Apartment Stalker (you will almost undoubtedly get this event during the ALARMING ACCOUNT OF ABNORMAL ARMS case) then bludgeon someone to death with it.

Unlocks the Flare Gun, which is not implemented in the game yet.

Find the hole in the painting.

This unlocks the Glass Eye item, which when used gives +1 PER and a random effect.

Enter the Overgrown Factory while wearing a Ritual Robe and Karukosa Mask.

Unlocks the MIDASU TOUCH spell, which costs 2 STAMINA and gives +1 FND.

Shop for items ten times in one run.

Another easy one. Simply enter, leave and re-enter the shop ten times in one playthrough.

Unlocks the Dog Treats item, which when held lowers all shop prices by 1 FND.

Investigate 20 locations with a Compass equipped.

Another fairly easy one. Buy a Compass as early in the playthrough as possible and just have it equipped while you play your game, and you’ll unlock this.

Unlocks the Map item, which has a chance to lower DOOM while exploring, and is also usable in certain events.

Take a hostage as Miku while wearing the Tokyo outfit.

Playing as Miku, put on the Tokyo outfit and go raise your DOOM rating to 90% or so. Miku’s Mayhem perk means that her stats are higher based on the current DOOM level. Simply intimidate a follower in the Schoolyard into following you to unlock the achievement.

This achievement now works, and unlocks the Extra Ammo item, which grants 3 AMMO when used and costs 4 FND.

Defeat the Mad Janitor as Aiko.

Start a game as Aiko, and if the MACABRE MEMOIR OF MORBID MERMAIDS case isn’t in your list of cases, restart until it is. Simply play the case normally, and when you defeat him the achievement is yours.

Unlocks Ikumi, a follower.

Prepare an attack during combat, but do not attack in that round.

Seems a little buggy, but I ended up getting it after attempting it several times. Use the Prepare Attack action and nothing else, not even another Prepare Attack. Make sure the turn is 1 Prepare Attack and nothing else.

Unlocks the Pocket Knife, which allows you to escape from combat once with no DOOM penalty.

Backstab a follower.

Very easy achievement to get if you’ve already unlocked the Witch’s Tree location. Start a game as Mizuki Hamasaki (since she starts with a follower) and go use the Witch’s Tree; if you don’t end up getting the Paranoia curse from the Witch then restart until you do. With this done, select your follower in the menu (make sure the Kill option, which is not clickable, is lit up): click Let Go and you’ll kill your follower and get the achievement.

This unlocks the ASHEN CONTRACT spell, which costs 7 DOOM but instantly kills any non-eldritch enemy(. ) and can only be cast once. Special thanks to TheOneWaaagh for figuring out how to get this one.

Meet your _other_ neighbor.

I actually just unlocked this while typing this very guide. Simply leave the WOH window unattended for some time while you’re in your own apartment, then click it back into focus. On my Win7 machine, fullscreen crashes big-time when alt-tabbing, so it’s best to try this in windowed mode.

Unlocks the Bloody Sweater outfit for Kouji.

Have 4 followers at once.

Very easy achievement to get. Go to the Schoolyard and simply ask or threaten people to follow you.

Unlocks the SEAL OF SAVVESH spell, which costs 4 REASON and gives +1 STRENGTH permanently.

Sacrifice a follower with the Ritual Dagger equipped.

This is easiest done in the HORRIBLE HISTORY OF HOUSEHOLD HELL case. Make sure you have at least one follower, a Flashlight and the Ritual Dagger before starting the case, and play it normally. At the very end, make sure to choose the EXPLORE FURTHER option, set the radio to the frequency noted during the investigation (make sure to pay attention!), then during the battle choose to sacrifice your follower to unlock this achievement.

Unlocks the Tome of Rot, an Item which, when used, deals 8 damage to HUMAN enemies but gives you a new status/injury. Thanks to Tokromar for info on the reward!

Defeat a school wraith haunting the corridor.

Unlocks the SEAL OF BRAM’EL, a spell that costs 4 REASON and grants +1 KNOWLEDGE.

Before choosing a new case, go to the Watch TV room and dial 56709 (a lyric from a Junko Ohashi song «Telephone») to unlock this achievement.

This unlocks the spell THREAD OF FATE, which costs 4 REASON but instantly kills a human enemy. Thanks to General Charm for the info on this one!

Have a follower die in combat.

When you have a follower, there is an option in Support Actions to have your follower attempt to distract the enemy. This action has a chance to kill the follower, so simply do that until your follower dies.

Unlocks Ryuichi, a follower.

Exorcise a ghost.

Find a Ghost enemy, and use the bow-clap prayer thing to exorcise them. This one is random and while it’s not hard, it’s kind of a pain to do. I found a Ghost enemy while investigating the School; there is an event where you enter a bathroom and can choose to leave, or close a stall door. Close the door and you’ll be attacked by the Toilet Ghost. Thanks again to General Charm for getting me on the right track.

Research five spells in one playthrough.

Easy achievement. Go to the School Library and simply research five spells.

Beat the game as the first character, Kirie Minami.

Unlocks the Eldritch Amulet, an equippable item, but so does the achievement From The Brink. Possible bug/incorrect information in the Achievement screen?

Beat the game as the second character, Aiko Takahashi.

Unlocks the Cursed Cartridge item. Worn in Slot C, it makes thrown items deal extra damage.

Beat the game as the third character, Haru.

Unlocks the Hirie outfit for Kirie Minami.

Beat the game as the fourth character, Mizuki Hamasaki.

Unlocks the Private School outfit.

Beat the game as the fifth character, Kouji Tagawa.

Beat the game as the sixth character, Mimi.

This unlocks yet another Samurai costume, but again I’m not sure who it’s for.

Beat the game as the seventh character, Miku.

This unlocks yet another Samurai outfit.

Roll a 1 during an event stat check.

Unlocks the Hermit, a follower.

Defeat an Old God with over 90% DOOM.

Unlocks the Bone Saw, a weapon.

Burn down the school.

During the battle at the end of the MACABRE MEMOIR OF MORBID MERMAIDS case, in Defensive Actions there is an option to topple a lamp. This will net you this achievement.

When you’re shopping, click that dog’s nose and he’ll bark at you, unlocking the achievement.

Unlocks Endless Mode.

Beat the game three times.

When investigating Downtown, you will occasionally be attacked by a mostly peaceful masked female rioter (the chances of this are much higher if you’ve triggered the RIOTS Old God effect, but it’s not required). When defeated, she drops a Prescription item, which can be used at the Pharmacy along with 4 FND to get a drug. Take this drug to the Illegal Den to unlock this achievement.

Unlocks Miku, the Rioter as a playable character. Thanks again to General Charm!

Feed an Outer Entity.

Once you’ve unlocked the Monument location, you can trade STAMINA to lower DOOM, and the first time you do so you will unlock this achievement.

Unlocks the Camp Dog, a follower.

Unlock 15 achievements.

Unlocks the City History option, which will let you rearrange (to a point) how the town is laid out.

Unlock 20 achievements.

Unlocks the Shop (Occult) location, whose stock is mainly items like Holy Candles, Ritual Daggers/Masks/Robes, etc.

Unlock 25 achievements.

Unlocks the Illegal Den, a shop whose stock is usually liquor, cigarettes or weaponry with the [ILLICIT] tag.

Unlock 30 achievements.

Unlocks the Witch’s Tree location, where you can take on a curse effect in trade for STAMINA, a SPELL or FND.

Unlock 40 achievements.

Unlocks SCHOOL NURSE, a new «location» you can add to the SCHOOL and who will heal your minor injuries for free. Note that this does not mean she’ll refill Stamina or Reason, but will remove Minor Injury cards.

Unlock 50 achievements.

Beat the game on Hard difficulty.

God help you, young one.

Unlocks SMALL CANDLE.

Reach turn 30 in Endless mode.

Unlocks the SHADOW SHROUD spell, which costs 3 REASON and for the duration of the current mystery ignore a location’s THREAT level.

Reach turn 40 in Endless mode.

Unlocks the ANCESTRAL STRENGTH spell, a ritual that costs 4 REASON and gives +1 damage while active.

Reach turn 50 in Endless mode.

Pretty hard to get while keeping DOOM from ending your run, but with the right spells and items you can get there.

Unlocks the Hunting Rifle (PER), the most devastating weapon in the game.

DAMAGE: 5
SPEED: 120
CHANCE TO HIT: 80
(damage when shot: 16)

Solve the Blue Gem riddle.

This one is actually really neat, and the payoff is super worth the pain in the butt it is to get, so maybe consider not spoiling it for yourself.

Go to the dog’s store and choose to buy a random discount item, and sooner or later you’ll end up with the Blue Gem. With this item in your inventory, explore the Seaside until you’ve see an event called LIGHTHOUSE RUMOR. Pay very close attention to the words «Blue Gem» in your inventory; they should be shaking very, very slightly. After this, explore the School and pay very close attention (if you’re like me and have seen every event, you may be clicking through very quickly): you’ll find an event called EMPTY CORRIDOR (OR IS IT?), and the words «Blue Gem» in your inventory will begin to vibrate again. Once this event is over, explore the Forest, noticing that the words «Blue Gem» are vibrating with every event you see, and eventually you’ll get your secret ending.

Equip Carpenter Hammer with both EXPEL EVIL and REGENERATION learned.

This one is easy and is entirely dependent on RNG. Start a game on Easy/Medium as Kirie, and if you’re lucky you already know one (or even both!) of the spells you need. Go to the Hardware Store, buy and equip a Carpenter Hammer, then go to the Library and simply trade DOOM to learn spells.

Unlocks Swollen Joint, a new injury you can randomly receive from events. Enjoy!

Defeat Dream Devourer without killing a single patient.

This is an easy achievement to get. Start a new game, restart if you don’t have CURIOUS CASE OF A CONTAGIOUS COMA in your case list, and do whatever pre-case setup your normally do for your chosen character, whether that’s buying new weapons, learning new spells, whatever. When doing the case, you must do the side-quest to investigate the Village twice, as you will receive an item critical to the ending. Play through the rest of the case, and at the end, you are given the option to use the Dust of Seeing to spot the Dream Devourer, which you must then defeat in combat. When that’s done, the achievement is yours.

Unlocks Maria, a new ally.

Meet and defeat SOMETHING EVIL.

While investigating certain locations, you have a chance to trigger an event that mentions SOMETHING EVIL, and a small counter will appear at the top of your screen that shows a spooky face and a counter which shows how many SOMETHING EVIL encounters you’ve seen. There are several, but the following, all located in the Apartments, are what triggered this encounter for me:

MAIL DAY (choose to read your mail)
UNFINISHED PAINTING (I ran into this twice)
STRUGGLING ARTIST (choose to look at the photo).

You can also increase your SOMETHING EVIL meter by 1 every time you use the REST function in your house, which appears to be the easiest way to raise your meter. Note that you must have at least 1 SOMETHING EVIL counter.

After getting my SOMETHING EVIL counter to 4, I continued exploring the Apartments (note that your character’s cute little chibi figure now has a scary face) and eventually ran into SOMETHING EVIL itself. This is a combat where you have only two combat options: sacrifice STAMINA or sacrifice REASON. SOMETHING EVIL will also attack. Once you’ve sacrificed roughly 10 resources (of any mix; I sacrificed 8 STAMINA and 2 REASON) a new option will appear in Combat Actions, which will end the combat and grant you your achievement. Thanks to Nintendocat for the hints!

A final note on this: you can increase your SOMETHING EVIL counter above 4, presumably to a theoretically unlimited number. I tested this twice and ran into the combat encounter at 4 both times, but some Discord users report that they didn’t get it until 5 or even more. I suspect that the counter is actually a stat similar to «magic find» in Diablo-type games, where the higher the number, the more likely you’ll encounter the combat, until it is virtually guaranteed. Food for thought, anyway.

Unlocks WITNESS CURSE, a new ritual spell.

Find the missing girl.

From there, simply investigate the Forest until you find a bloody sweater and your new achievement. Unlocks Moriko, the new character.

Drink the blood of a forgotten beast and survive.

This one is pretty much all RNG, hoping that you get the right events. I was lucky and got it on my first try.

Unlocks Yashiro, the new (and very fun) Faith-based character.

Everyone contributed on this one, but Mezzelo and Khalless’s tips are what led me right to it. Thanks guys!

Destroy your eye and open the third one.

Another RNG achievement, and another one I got very lucky on. Simply go to the Occult Shop and buy a Glass Eye (note that you must have done the Peeping Tom achievement to unlock the Glass Eye for purchase), then use it to pop out your own eye and replace it with the glass one. Then go to the School Library and research spells until you get Third Eye. Casting it while you’ve got the Glass Eye in your head will grant you the achievement.

Unlocks Ygothaeg, an old god.

Change the date and stop the curse.

When in any run, in any game mode, simply click the calendar on the top-left of the screen to change it from May to June 1984.

Equip two sources of light at the same time.

Another RNG achievement, but very easy in Timeline B. Start a new game, and make sure to complete the side objective for the SORROWFUL SAGA OF THE MOONLIGHT SAILORS case, which is to discard (not sell) two items. When you complete the objective you will immediately receive a Torch, which can then be equipped along with a Flashlight that you can buy from the dog or the Hardware Store to complete this achievement.

Unlocks HEAVY-DUTY FLASHLIGHT, a 1-handed KNW weapon.
DAMAGE: 4
SPEED: 85
CHANCE TO HIT: 75
(counts as a light source)

Discard three books in one playthrough.

Yet another RNG one, and hoo boy this one sucks. I got it by playing as Best Girl Mimi and investigating the Mansion over. and over. and over. and over. Remember that when you discard a book, you must not sell it, but hit the Discard button.

Unlocks the Knight-Errant backstory.

Complete a playthrough without resting.

Unlocks Challenge mode.

Gather five curses.

An RNG one, you can hedge your bets to get 5 curses (at the same time) by using the Witch’s Tree the maximum of 3 times. Then, explore the Forest until you’ve got all 5 required for the achievement.

Unlocks Ayaka, a new KNW-based character.

Make sure you have the History Club selected (under «School») when you’re setting up your game, then simply buy four items from them in the same playthrough. You’ll get a neat ending (and be aware, your game will end there) and will unlock Toshiaki, a PER-based character.

As Moriko, defeat an enemy with a working Chainsaw

Start a new game as Moriko ( the hunter’s daughter you unlocked by doing the SWEATER GIRL achievement ) and if you don’t have the PERILOUS PARABLE OF THE PECULIAR PAINTING case in your list, restart until you do. Play as normal, but do another case before the PERILOUS PARABLE one, making sure that you pick up a Flashlight and have at least 3 FND available. Once you’ve started the PERILOUS PARABLE you will eventually get to a point where you can explore the WORKSHOP location. Having the Flashlight will enable you to choose to USE YOUR OWN LIGHT SOURCE, resulting in a found Chainsaw (sans fuel). After this case is over, go to the Hardware Store and reroll stock until you can buy FUEL for 3 FND. You can alternatively just buy Fuel before the case, of course. When you have both the fuel-less Chainsaw and the Fuel in your inventory, use the Fuel. Now you can finally live out your Doom fantasies and chainsaw an enemy to death, earning this new achievement.

Unlocks the Herald, a new Old God.

Note that the PERILOUS PARABLE OF THE PECULIAR PAINTING case is extremely buggy at the moment, at least for me. I tested this about five times, and each time I chose not to stay with the character you meet during this case my game hard-crashed to the desktop, but if I chose to stay with that character the case went fine. Something to keep in mind until a bugfix.

WORLD OF HORROR

WORLD OF HORROR можно полноправно отнести к нестандартным проектам по части визуального оформления. При этом стоит отметить, что её нарисовал всего 1 человек, вдохновляясь творчеством Говарда Лавкрафта. Да, здесь не обошлось без доли абсурда (например, за прилавком одного из магазинов стоит собака), но в целом это по своему дополняет концепцию проекта. Действия разворачиваются в японском городе Шиокава, где в один момент начинают происходить неестественные события. Повсюду начинают проявляться признаки конца света, и пользователю предстоит разгадать эту загадку, решив множество головоломок.

В оригинале WORLD OF HORROR оформлена в черно-белом цвете, но автор предусмотрел опцию смены цветовых фильтров (10 разных вариаций). Что касается геймплея, то он представлен в виде случайных ивентов, которые непосредственно влияют на характеристики пользователя. Изменение показателей зависит от успешности выполнения той или иной задачи. Например, если удастся прочесть некрономикон, герой получит прирост к опыту. При этом, исход каждого происшествия невозможно просчитать, и все происходит случайным образом. Так, можно совершенно случайно получить понижение силы, расслабившись в ванной. Часто, чтобы завершить конкретный сегмент, необходимо совершить последовательность действий, где могут потребоваться определенные предметы. В отдельном окне находятся все доступные для конкретного сегмента действия или предметы. Корректный выбор может повлиять на итоговый исход, поэтому порой достаточно просто довериться логике.

Just play through the mystery.

YOU MUST BE IN A RUN USING TIMELINE B AS THE TIMELINE TO GET THIS ENDING.
Play through the mystery as normal, at the end of the mystery, you will be forced to fight and defeat ‘VENT CRAWLER’.

THIS WILL REQUIRE THE ‘FIRE AXE’ FROM DEFEATING THE MAD JANITOR IN THE MERMAID MYSTERY.
Start off by completing the side quest ‘MYCOLOGY MANIAC’ by investigating the school twice. Make sure to equip the ‘FIRE AXE’ before getting into the Shiro-San encounter. In the Shiro-san encounter actions panel, there will be a button called ‘W-WHAT’S THAT?’ in the bottom left, click that to go into the ‘FUNGUS-CONTROLLED SHIRO-SAN’ fight. (TIP: reducing Shiro-san’s health before entering the fight by letting the plants attack him will reduce the Fungus-controlled Shiro-san health as well) Then the actions panel will return to normal and there will be an additional option in the Offensive Actions panel to the left called ‘CHOP YOUR WAY OUT’, use it and it will reveal another action right below it called ‘BREAK INTO MINIVAN’, use that, it will reward you with the ‘DIY FLAMETHROWER’. Proceed with killing Shiro-san.

You will need to complete the side quest ‘MYCOLOGY MANIAC’ by investigating the school twice. In the Shiro-san encounter actions panel, there will be a button called ‘W-WHAT’S THAT?’ in the bottom left, click that to go into the ‘FUNGUS-CONTROLLED SHIRO-SAN’ fight. (TIP: reducing Shiro-san’s health before entering the fight by letting the plants attack him will reduce the Fungus-controlled Shiro-san health as well) Then the actions panel will return to normal and you must fight and defeat Shrio-san like any regular enemy.

There are two options to complete this ending. The first is to just play through the mystery as normal. Upon getting into the Shiro-san encounter, normal combat actions are replaced with special actions. You must use the option ‘LEAD THE GARDENER’ a total of 11 times to escape with him.

The second option requires the ‘FIRE AXE’ from defeating the Mad Janitor in the Mermaid mystery. Make sure to equip the ‘FIRE AXE’ before getting into the Shiro-San encounter. Upon reaching the Shiro-san encounter, there will be an option in the bottom middle of the actions panel called ‘CHOP YOU WAY OUT’, simply use that action.

Play the mystery as straight forwards as possible, simply let Shriro-san die. This ending will result in a +3% DOOM penalty.

Start by doing the side quest ‘FOREST SUICIDES’ by investigating the forest twice. When you get to the computer screen option of yes or no, select yes. On the next screen select the ‘REMEMBER THE NOTE’ option. On the 3 choice option screen, pick ‘YOU CAN’T SAVE EVERYONE’.

There are two main methods to get this ending. The first way is when you get to the computer screen option of yes or no, select yes. On the next screen select the ‘PICK UP THE PHONE’ option, you will then fight and must defeat ‘TOGETHER’.

Play the mystery normally and select either of the Red or Blue paper when prompted (You will always lose 5 Stamina). You will then have to fight Aka Manto, killing him drops his ‘CRESTFALLEN MASK».

Do the side quest ‘PATIENT ZERO’ by investigating the village twice, giving you ‘DUST OF SEEING’, use it when prompted to at the quarantine wing, making you fight the ‘DREAM DEVOURER’. (TIP: Under offensive actions there will be a button to the side of the main panel called ‘UNPLUG LIFE SUPPORT’, allowing you to to deal 15 damage to the DREAM DEVOURER at the cost of 3 REASON.)

Play through the mystery as normal and once you get back to Kana’s apartment use the ‘check the bedroom’ button. Then select ‘we must go to a hospital!’. This ending will make you lose Kana as an ally.

On the second day of the mystery, another location, the forest, will open up near the bottom right of the map. You must investigate it a total of 5 times, with at least 2 times being before the end of day 3. Once the Overgrown Factory is available in the final part of the map, go to it and end the mystery.

YOU MUST BE IN A RUN USING TIMELINE B AS THE TIMELINE TO GET THIS ENDING.
On the second day of the mystery, another location, the forest, will open up near the bottom right of the map. You must investigate it a total of 5 times, with at least 2 times being before the end of day 3. Once the Overgrown Factory is available in the final part of the map, go to it and start the fight with ‘NAMELESS HORROR’. There will be an additional option in the Offensive Actions panel to the left called ‘ATTACK THE MASTER CULTIST’, use it for a total of 20 damage to win. This ending rewards you with the ‘SPIRAL HOOD’.

YOU MUST HAVE THE CAN OF ACID TO GET THIS ENDING (obtainable from the hardware store at the seaside).
Play the mystery like normal and at the end chose ‘PEEK INSIDE’, you will then get another option to ‘POUR ACID INSIDE’ afterwards, choose it, it will also award you with the ‘FOREST TAPES’ item (currently doesn’t do anything)

Play the mystery like normal and at the end chose the ‘TAKE CASSETTES AND RUN’ option at the ending of the mystery, it will reward you the ‘FOREST TAPES’ item (currently doesn’t do anything).

YOU MUST HAVE A SOURCE OF LIGHT TO DO THIS ENDING.
Do the side quest ‘BUILDING HISTORY’ by investigating the seaside location, it will give you the Architect’s Journal and Shiokawa Herald (A). Click on the Shokawa Herald and then inspect it, it will mentioning a clue written on a cavern wall: ‘4XXHz’. When you get to the Underground Chamber, click on ‘EXPLORE SOME MORE’, you will find speakers that allow you to put in the 4XXHz. It will awaken OETARU, a monster that cannot be defeated by normal combat. Then under the Offensive Actions panel, there will be a button to the side of the main panel called ‘NO HOPE!’, click it to end the fight. (Note, you still take doom damage as you would running from a normal enemy. And having CHTAC-ATORASU as your Old God does not effect your ability to get this ending)

Play through as straightforwards as possible.

Play through the mystery as straightforwards as possible and kill the Mad Janitor, doing so will reward you with his Fire Axe.

When you go to fight the mad Janitor, under Defensive Actions panel there will be a button to the side of the main panel called ‘FORCE MANHOLE OPEN’. It will take you a couple of tries to pry it open. TIP: Getting the Crowbar or the Monkey Wrench (obtainable in the hardware store at the seaside location) is highly recommended to make the process faster.

When you go to fight the mad Janitor, under Defensive Actions panel there will be a button to the side of the main panel called ‘TOPPLE A LAMP’, use it to instantly end the fight. It will make it so that people no longer show up at the schoolyard; and if you play Spine-Chilling Story of School Scissors after this mystery, the school will be burned, resulting in a fight with a special version of the Scissor Woman. This ending will result in you getting the ‘BURN’ Injury.

THIS ENDING REQUIRES THE ‘INSMASU LOOK’ CURSE AND FOR YOU NOT TO BE USING USING TIMELINE B.
Proceed through the mystery and upon initially encountering the Mad Janitor (before the fight), there will be an additional prompt called ‘DISTRACT HIM’, press it.

YOU MUST BE IN A RUN USING TIMELINE B AS THE TIMELINE TO GET THIS ENDING.
There are two main ways to get this ending, for the first one, proceed through the mystery and upon initially encountering the Mad Janitor (before the fight), there will be an additional prompt called ‘NOTICE HIS FACE’, press it, then press the additional ‘AGREE’ prompt. This version of the ending results in a +4% DOOM penalty.

This mystery is not part of the base set of mysteries and requires an achievement in order to unlock the card pack required to play it. Achievement: PAINTED HOSPITAL: win your fifth playthrough. UNLOCKS EXTENDED D.

Always choose to investigate the locations with Eimi. When you go to investigate the Private Rooms and Ichiro-san tells you to leave Eimi and himself alone, continue to investigate the Private Rooms again. This will force you into ‘THE PAINTING’ fight. Successfully killing The Painting will reward you with Eimi as an ally.

Play the mystery straightforward and select the option to turn in the «JUST THE VIAL OF RAMEN SOUP» at the end of the mystery when prompted to.

Do the side quest ‘HOOKS AND NETS’ by discarding two items, it will say that you found a huge pile of hooks and nets and threw them out to sea to stop the sailors, then just complete the mystery.

Just complete the mystery as straightforward as possible.

YOU MUST BE IN A RUN USING TIMELINE B AS THE TIMELINE TO GET THIS ENDING.
There are two main ways to get this ending, the first is you play through the mystery as normal. At the ending of the mystery, there will be the option to ‘PREPARE FOR COMBAT’, click it and then procced to fight and defeat ‘THE SEEPING APSOTLE’.

For the second way, do the side quest ‘HOOKS AND NETS’ by discarding two items, rewarding you with the ‘TORCH’. At the ending of the mystery, there will be the option to ‘THROW YOUR TORCH’, click it to end the mystery.

Go through the mystery like normal, when you find the Blessed Chalk access your storage and take out the ‘FRIEND’S DIARY’, click on it and you will see a symbol under the ’18’ entry. Make the correct sigil with the chalk by using the ‘1’ and ‘2’ redraw sigil buttons until it looks the same as the one shown in the diary, proceed through the rest of the investigation.

Mess up the ritual by getting the incorrect sigil, you will then fight the (horror) version of the scissor woman and will get her scissors upon killing her.

Die to any Timeline A version of the Scissor Woman.

You can just play through as fast as possible, choosing only to investigate the mansion to progress the time. You will be forced to kill the guest as they come and then be forced to sacrifice them at the end.

Об игре

Это хоррор-рпг, с черно-белым визуальным оформлением. Игра вдохновлена работами Дзюндзи Ито, в частности мангой «Спираль». Некоторые локации, присутствующие в игре, очень похожи на те, что были в манге. А также дизайн персонажей, и общая атмосфера произведений, довольно схожи. Игра полностью была нарисована в Paint-е, и имеет однобитную графику(можно поменять на двухбитную перед игрой).

Геймплей

В игре нужно расследовать 5 дел, до того как мир не обрушится. У игровых персонажей есть два показателя — психическое состояние и здоровье. Если один из них снизится до нуля, то игра будет окончена. Персонажей в игре пять, со своими индивидуальными характеристиками. Имеются пошаговые бои и выборы, со своими последствиями. В процессе расследований, можно заниматься различными делами, например — подлечиться в больнице, поговорить с местными жителями о происходящем вокруг, или просто закупиться полезными предметами. В игре имеются 12 загадок и больше двухсот возможных событий. Все это касается раннего доступа игры. С релизом разработчики планируют добавить больше персонажей, загадок, предметов и событий.

Музыка

У игры очень подходящее музыкальное сопровождение, которое хорошо дополняет необычный арт-дизайн игры, и способствует полному погружению в его мир.

A lot of people seem to experience a hard time when they have to face bulky enemies, like Aka Manto.
With this guide, bossfights will no longer bring your run to an end.
I will present you approaches on how to manage your Stats and Funds, Collect Exp, build your character (there are builds in woh?!) and sweep through enemies without dreading to loose the game. I will cover aviable weapons, aswell as spells and allies. My goal is to help you plan and strategize your run before attempting a mystery and perform well during battles.

As I will include bosses and «rewards» for accomplishing mysteries, I’ll try not to spoiler on how to get achievements or mystery-endings. English is not my first language, pls have mercy on gramatical errors.

In total there are currently 8 different characters. At the start of the game you will have 5 of them aviable: Kirie, Aiko, Haru, Mizuki and Kouji. Every one of them has different stats and character-specific percs which can be accessed by a Level-up. Each Level-Up will grant you acces to 1 out of 3 percs and 1 Skill-Point OR the option to heal Reason or Stamina by 3/4/5 depending on the difficulty.

Remember that the «basic-percs» will increase a stat by 1 aswell. Chose a weapon which fits the selected stat. I will explain the weapons later on (strategy and how/when to get them). Rise the selected stat until it reaches a value of 10.

Do not waste your valuable skill-points on healing, unless you are below 7 Sta/Rea and are about to face a tough enemy soon OR your Doom is to high to risk the rest-option. Use the rest-option and baths to heal, forget a spell or even buy meds, when your town suffers under the «contaminated water» or the «Smog»-Status (Experimental Drug and Pain Medication cost 3 Funds, but heal by 4).

But why should you chose a Main-Stat? A lot of your strategic decisions will be determined by the Stat. This guide will give you plenty of advices and tipps to perform and prepare for combat.

Weapons have 1 out of 4 categories (Strengh, Dexterity, Knowledge, Perception) and 3 values: Damage, Accurecy and Speed. By maxing out the stat, which fits to the category of your weapon, you will influence the Accurecy and Speed of your attack-actions during combat.

On the other hand, taking a random weapon will limit your battle options tremendously.

How do Stats interact with weapons and combat options?

Strength: The higher your Str is, the faster you can perform the «Block»-Action, which will cut the damage of Attacks classifed as «-X STA» or «-X All» by half. The values are rounded down, which means, that what would have dealt 3 Damage, will drain only 1 Damage after blocking. «-X REA» classifed attacks cannot be blocked.
Your Strengh has inpact on how fast your attacking-actions are, when wielding a Strengh-Based-Weapon, which are listed below.

Dexterity: The higher your Dex is, the faster you can perfom the «Dodge»-Action. The chances of a succesful dodge seem to be calculated through your Dex-Value and the enemies «Power»-stat, which I cannot confirm tho. I realized, that dodging is succesful frequently, when my Dex was high.
Your Dexterity has inpact on how fast your attacking-actions are, when you wield a Dexterity-Based Weapon, which are listed below.

Knowledge: I cannot yet confirm that the Knw-Stat has any influence on battle except making attacking-actions faster, while wielding a Knowledge-Based-Weapon.

Perception: I cannot yet confirm that the Per-Stat has any influence on battle except making attacking-actions faster, while wielding a Perception-Based-Weapon.

Charisma and Funds have no inpact on combat.
I don’t think that the hidden Luck stat has any influence on combat, which I cannot confirm aswell.

At the start of each run, the first thing is to take a bath for 5 bonus exp, watch TV till you get the missing-girl-report and check your Mysteries. Depending on your main stat your strategy might differ. But here are some general, recommanded actions for every character and build:

3.2 Allies
Most of the time, the first mystery should give you access to the towns menu. In the town you can buy a weapon, recruit students, lern spells and visit the witchs tree (unlockable location/usefull in hard mode). If you have access to the Evolving Eels-Mystery, do it first to get Kana to follow you. She will reduce all incoming DMG by 1! I also recommand doing the Far-Out-Festival-Mystery second, since you can recruit powerful allies in trade for some stats.
Examples:
-> Ryoko: Increases your DMG by 1!
-> Iwa: +2 Strengh!
Since you will investigate the forrest, you might even find the Dog-Ally.

Always visit the school and ask for the students to help you right at the start of the game. Do not «wait» since the doom costs may cost you the run. If you will face Aka Manto anyway, wait until you face him in the 3-5th mystery before recruiting allies. Always check the students percs, since they are randomized! Some give you a small stat boost, some give you percs, but some decrease a stat by one. You can let them go OR use them otherwise (for a mystery or in combat).

— Flashlight: Provides +1 Perception and is a must have for the Perc-Build. It also gives you access to solve multiple events and mysteris! The Flashlight can be obtained in the Hardware-shop (and sometimes in the Dog-Shop)

— Holy Candle: If you have unlocked the «ocult-shop-location» or have access to the Far-Out-Festival-Mystery you can Buy this for 2 Funds. This item gives you 1 Luck and is necessary for 3 random events, in which you can use it without loosing the item. This will lower Doom and can be a absolute run-saver. And on top of that you can use it to heal 2 REA. This item is worth the Funds.

— Compass: If you visit the Dog-Shop you can obtain the compass. This will give you +2 Exp for every Event when equiped in the C-Slot. Buying this item early will grant you fast Level-ups. You can boost your Main-Stat fast and get percs to prepare for skill-checks and events.
If you get a weapon without spending funds you should probably get this item beside the flashlight. If you already have a camera or some other B-slot-Item (like a mask) and you can buy this item aswell. It is most usefull at the start of the game. You can sell it ones you reach Lvl. 4 to obtain 1 Fund ( or if you need 1 Fund)

— Ritual Puppet: This item can be bought in the occult shop for 2 Funds. It will deal 4-6 Damage at the cost of 1-2 Stamina. It is a item, not a weapon, which means that you can use it multiple times, even against the same enemy. I don’t have to explain why this item is very useful.

On Normal difficulty, you will have 4 Funds. On Hard, you should have unlocked the «witchs-tree-location», to at least get 2 Funds for a weapon. Getting a weapon first is really important, but you won’t have to buy one on every run. Below I will list the aviable weapons and approaches for each Main-Stat.

Strength:
If you have chosen strength as your Main-Stat, I recommand you to start the Violent Vigil-Mystery, since you will get access to the meat-cleaver weapon, which can be found in the storage room. It is a free weapon, with a damage-value of 4!
During the Evolving Eels and Abnormal Arms-Mystery you will have to investigate the Apartments area frequently. This will give you a 50% chance to encounter the Apartment Stalker, which often drops his Baseball-Bat, one of the best Str. weapon in the game.
These 3 Mysteries are the best to start with, when you chose STR as your Main-Stat.
The Wooden Bat, which can be found in the school lockers during the School-Scisors-Mystery, is a different item and not quite as good as the Baseball Bat, but still an viable option. You will have to fight the Scisor Lady early tho.
You can visit the Hardware-Shop on the seaside and purchase a Strength weapon:
Carpenter Hammer: Its only 2 Funds and my weapon of choice, since I can buy one more item with my remaining 2 Funds. Its a fast weapon, but will require the «prepare»-action during combat, since its accurecy is aweful. Still I think this is the best option, because of the costs.
Shovel: High damage, but really slow. I do not recommand this weapon.
Crowbar: It gives you an additional option during the fight against mad Janitor. If you have a lot of funds you can get this instead of the Carpenter Hammer, since it provides a lot more accurecy.
Ofc you can just search for a weapon during combat and find a branch. It is a slow weapon with little damage, but better than nothing I guess. If another weapon is aviable, I would rather run from the fight.
Another option is the Flamethrower Weapon. This Weapon is only aviable by doing the «Lost-Botanist-Mystery». If you want to know exactly how to obtain the Flamethrower, here comes the spoiler:
The Flamethrower won’t be your weapon to start with. You will need to accomplish Ending A on the Botanist-Mystery. In order to do so, you will need to kill the Mad Janitor (Mermaid-Mystery) by combat and loot his Fire Ace. Enter the Lab in the Forest with the Fire Ace equipped and choose the combat action «cut your way through» (or something like that). You will then recieve the Flamethrower. I haven’t tried this weapon yet, but will play the game again on the next patch.

Dexterity is a great secondary stat, since it reduces the cost and increases the chance of the dodge-action. If you have high Dex and find a steak knife, you might even consider maxing out your Dex in middle of your run.

General:
On the combat menu, there are 4 categories of actions:
1. Offensive: Kick, Bite, Shoot Light Attack, Strong Attack, Prepare the attack, Boost the attacks accuracy by 10
2. Defensive: Run, Dodge, Block
3. Support: Let an ally distract the enemy, struggle (double damage of this turn if REA or STR is below 4), trade 10 exp for 10 accuracy, Meditate (trade 2 Stamina for 1 Reason)
4. Ritual: Clap and Bow, Offer Funds to deal damage, Cut ties to the world of ghost enemies, Pray (Trade 2 Reason for 1 Stamina)

When do you use which combat action?
I will not explain the basic math thing. I think everybody is able to calculate the most efficent order of attacking. But here are some tipps:

1. Should you run from battle?
Combat gives a lot of valuable exp. The more you fight, the less exp you will have. You will miss the chance of boosting your stats, and will more likely fail skill checks. It also rises Doom by tremendous 5%. This is why you shouldn’t abuse the run-action. Other than that, this option can save your run, espacially, when you have the pocket-knife in your inventory, which will lower the cost of escaping combat. Still, you shouldn’t run early in the game, where gaining Level is your primary goal.

2. When do I avoid combat?
Another option is to avoid Bossbattles. As I said above, it might not be that smart fighting the janitor, the horrible old man, the scisor lady and aka manto in a sinlge run, unless you have a lot of luck and perfect items, allies etc. Try to consider your ressources and calculate, if it’s worth fighting a boss for bonus exp.
Example:
If I have 2 mysteries left, one of which being the Crimson Cape-Mystery, the other the Contaigous Coma-Mystery, and I only have 8 Reason left after taking a bath, I might not do the side-quest of the dream-devourer in order to fight him. I would avoid this boss battle, to stand a chance vs. Aka Manto and survive the upcoming Light-House-Events.

3. Dodge and Block
Against the listet bosses and bulky enemies in general you should be patient. Block or Dodge every turn, until the enemies HP are low enough to savely kill him with everything you got. Take the action which requiers less combat-time. If they take the same time, consider the type and amount of damage of the enemy. If he deals 3 or 5 damage, I recommand to block, since the value will be rounded down. If he deals 2 Damage, dodging might be better, since it is not that horrible, if you fail the dodge.

4. Call for help
Depending on the allies you have, you might want them to distract your enemy. This will boost your combat speed for the rest of the fight 70% chance. There is a 30% chance that your ally will die, without granting the bonus. Use the Dodge or Block action combined with the call for help. Don’t be stupid and attack him with no guard. Often a distraction makes it possible to Dodge/Block, prepare and attack in the same turn. Sometimes you will have only 1 very important ally like Kana or Ryoko. You don’t want to loose them! I wouldn’t recommand calling for help, while they are in your team.

5. Finishing Blows and Guns
A efficient way of saving STA and REA is to dodge/block until the enemy is low on Health. As soon as he is go all in and finish him. Consider following Menu-Options to max out your damage:

6. Managing Reason and Stamina
Only forget spells, if you would die otherwise. If you have Funds aviable and can afford raising up doom, you can get meds form the farmacy to use in battle if the worst-case scenario occurs. You might fail to dodge or an ally fails to distract etc. Only forget spells if its necessary to stay safe.
FunFact: If you suffer under the «paranoia»-curse you can kill allies in order to regain 1 REA.
