Hello, thank you for visiting here. This page originally began as a personal account of Mick Ono, an artist from Japan. The World of Vilous

The world of Vilous is the fantasy and science fiction world that Sergal species and General Rain Silves originated from. They’re the most popular creations related to Vilous, but there are also Nevreans, and Agudners, all living in the world of Vilous.

The Vilous universe is powered by its two creators, Mick and Kiki. Mick Ono, the original artist and visual designer for Vilous, and Kiki CR a.k.a. Kiki-UMA, the lore creator and world director.

When you publish a creation based off of Vilous and everything related to it, we will be happy if you could credit for both of us.

The first creation as the fictional species named «Sergal» has existed since 2003 with many factors that Mick39 was inspired by those. The roots are based on her favorites, primarily rabbit and fighter aircraft as she is fan of Watership Down and Ace Combat.

Because of this, sergals in the early design were drawn in more rabbit-like appearance to compared with the current ones.

Old and obsolete lore

They are the species who possesses excellent athletic ability. Their intelligence is not very high, but due to their loyal disposition, they are often raised as soldiers. Temperament is rough, because they aren’t suitable for tasks requiring manual dexterity, they are employed solely as infantry reinforcements. They have naturally fast and strong legs, and in ancient times were called the «no-horse knight.» They are strong in close quarters combat with weapons like long spears, battle axes, and hammers, etc. In the current Vilous, they often use a weapon which is a combination folding lance/shotgun. Their excellent legs give them 3x the jumping power by enhanced armor. Their spirituality is straightforward and simple. Their personality is such that they often don’t hold onto strong obsessions or grudges. They don’t know or understand left and they don’t feel pain, uplifting by fighting is the best. They don’t have dreams when they sleep. Sergal children are raised in a communal child care group, In this way, they are trained as soldiers early on. But also those who drop out midway, those Sergals often live as commoners in roles such as manual laborers.

Northern Sergals in Old Age Canon

Southern Sergals in Old Age Canon

They live in the Sailzane desert in southern Vilous. Unlike the northern Sergals, a combat leader does not exist, they cherish wisdom and knowledge, Still, they don’t deeply recognize things such as the origin of the world. The majority of Vilous’s philosophers are southern Sergals, particularly those living in the huge city of Gold Ring.

Originally, Sergals don’t like to eat plants very much, but because of the scarcity of prey living in the desert, they can eat plants without too much resistance, as a result, it’s possible for them to survive even in an harsh environments with little food. Since they live constantly under threat of hunger and famine by the lack of food, most have a large plantation, they live while avoiding a dispute over food shortage by means of running these plantations. Living in the desert of planet Tal, they cultivate vegetables such as water-retaining cacti. The Reono army of the south has fought the Shigu army of the north for a span of over 150 years, they would be defeated by General Rain.

Obsolete settings in Early New Age Canon

Very briefly, Mick experimented with a «Early New Age» style. The «Early New Age» style has since been abandoned.

These new characteristics listed above and more things which were described around 2009-2012 are has been rendered obsolete and left aside now. And now, «Latest New Age Sergal» has become relatively like the Old Age Canon.

Also in the Early New Age version, General Rain and the Northern Sergal’s ears were drawn extremely short. But now, Their ears are somewhat longer in the Latest New Age version compared than Early New Age. Actually in Latest New Age, there are not many north and south temperature difference in planet Tal. However still a northerns has a bigger build than a southerns, and fur tends to be much, ears are somewhat short.

Old and obsolete lore

They were once the most populous race on Vilous, and had access to extremely high technology and knowledge, but eventually almost died out because of a great cataclysm, an inondation that took the lives of most of their race 300 years ago in an extremely short amount of time. They apparently had some sort of empire that expanded all over world before their sudden disappearance. However, like most facts about Vilous’ past, very little is known about their ancient civilization apart from the fact that the technology they had access to was given to them by anunknown race, and that they used it to build many magnificent, beautiful structures.

They do still have access to technology nowadays but it’s way less advanced than it used to be, going back to simpler things like decent ways to create things (e.g. houses) or manage agriculture. They also are the race that knows the most about agriculture/farming.

They now live all over Vilous in small villages. A notable group operates in an old iron mine in the south from where most of the world’s metal comes from while another one lives along Nevreans inside an old fort in Tatola, right next to the Clan Shigu’s lands. They’ve never had conflict with Rain since their fort is very well defended, pushing Zyn to convince her that trying to take it would be suicide for any army, even hers. The fort is located on a steep, hard to climb slope at the base of a mountain, the only true entrances to it being hidden passageways used to re-supply it. Meanwhile, some other Agudners are living in northern Tatola and have joined Rain’s empire.

Old Age Talyxian and Obsolete settings

The Old Age Talyxians are a specie that bear traits of a both felines and humans, among other things. They were called the «Werefenle» (ワーフェンル wâfenru) or «Lynx race» (山猫族 yamaneko-zoku) too. They are carnivorous and in small numbers. They survived the Northern Sergal expansion by hiding in the forests.One of the most observable member of the race would be Zyn Crotzwell. Since the introduction of the New Age canon, this race has been rendered obsolete and left aside.

Characters history

Rain Silves in Old Age

She is a golden-eyed mutant Northern Sergal of the classic design that wears blood as face paint down from her eyes to her jaw, with dark blue or black hair across her back and white hair down her front. In this canon she is described as being simply naive rather than actually stupid, and since she was aware of this, she kept around many advisors. She has a curious nature, and is delighted to find things that she finds interesting or amusing.

Rain grew up in the north Tatola plains in the Clan Shigu and the Tribe Silves. When Rain was a little girl she was the target of much abuse from her mother and many others because of her golden eyes, saying her eyes were bad omen, bad luck or a curse, eyes of death. A bit ironic, as she grew up to become the most feared fighter in the land. She was raised by a man named Zyn Crotzwell, who adopted her and stayed by her side for many years. When she was in her mid-to-late 20’s she became the head of the Shigu Clan and started her first campaign, to conquer the entire Tatola area. Following to this she waged war against the southern Reono Clan, with the help of her companions Lucien Calcatto and Zyn Crotzwell. Eventually she was successful, and went on to conquer the rest of the Sailzane Desert as well. She was unequaled in combat, a brilliant fighter and tactician, but for most other issues she was a bit handicapped, cruelty and war were all she was suited for. She was well known for her broad use of fear tactics and torture, including peeling the skin off children in front of their parents with her bare hands, cannibalism of fallen foes, and other nefarious deeds.

It took her only about a decade to conquer most of the known world, afterwards ruling over her lands as a cruel dictator. This proved to be a much less glamorous time for the Brutal General, as during this time she proved to be an absolutely terrible peacetime leader, many of her own people dying of poverty and starvation. To make matters worse, Zyn, her adopted father and trusted advisor leaves her side during this time. When she becomes of advanced age one of her children, fathered by an enemy general she had raped, staged a coup, and it’s said she stepped down willingly so that for all time it would continue to be said she had never been defeated in combat. She spends the rest of her life under house arrest, described as living like a happy beast in a zoo, imprisoned but content.

Sergals

Sergals (Japanese: サーガル, Sāgaru, Ancient name: Sieg) are a race that have various features which are similar to plural Earth’s animals with shark-like head. They are one of the three sentient and sapient Eltus race who are regarded as the «human existence» on the Planet Tal.

They have many features reminiscent of sharks, rabbits, kangaroos, canines, reptiles, avian, and others. In addition, they have no obvious gender differences in their appearance and biological feature. Due to this, their physical strength, behavior, personality, and social role keep gender-neutral state basically.

They show most «animalistic» natures in their various behaviors and abilities in comparison with other Eltus races, they have the fastest running speed and strong leg strength, additionally superior intuition and susceptibility for nature.

While they are covered in mammal-like fur, they are ovoviviparous and do not possess mammalian breasts and breastfeeding ability. Their scientific classification may be said to be the middle between mammals and reptiles, however, they are hard to be strictly classified the same as Earth’s creatures entirely.

They have a population the same to or larger than the Agudners. In Tal, they live in the whole areas of almost continent except the part of the far west area where only Nevreans are living.

General Rain Silves is the most widely known sergal. While Sergals have become known on the internet for having a monstrously violent and sexually deviant nature, this behavior is generally confined to Rain Silves and those under her influence. Because Sergals are designed to be a pretty friendly and peaceful race, the notorious stereotype for the species leads to deadly misunderstandings and misconceptions. Due to this, we would like to deny these stereotypes distinctly because those are very harmful, not only to the species concept itself, but also to the species creators, Mick Ono, Kiki CR, and everyone on Vilous Team GRG.

Canon representative members of the race would be Rain Silves, Leeric, Kadd, and Jakk.

This article describe about common features of all sergals, but there are regional racial variations in appearance and behavior. (See below for further details and each articles.)

While possessing individual personalities, their general character is simple-minded and optimistic, also sometimes show an animalistic sensitive nature. Overall, they can be said to be sensuous people. Due to their deeply religious nature and faithful mentality, they can behave with a mob mentality when influenced by a strong-willed or charismatic individual.

Meanwhile, they have strong intuition close to six sense and superior susceptibility for the natural environment. Due to this, they have the strongest capacity to deal with things which cannot be elucidated by logic and science such as supernatural phenomenon and shamanism.

The original species of them is Northern sergals, and there are various regional differences who have derived from Northerners; Southern sergals who got civilized culture earliest by symbiosis with agudners from early stage, Eastern sergals who are mixed breed of Northerners and Southerners, and Western sergals who are extinct race. But in the modern era, nationality such as Shigu, Reono, and Gold Ring takes up greater importance than race or subspecies because of the sheer amount of mixing gene pools by globalization.

They have a very good relationship with agudners historically. Sergals and agudners can cooperate with each other like the engaged gears while making up for each shortcoming with each strong points. Sergals deal with wildlife and the natural environment while agudners are taking the development of technology. In comparison with nevrean’s gender relationship which can be described as «Yin-Yang», sergals and agudners also can be said to be having such «Yin-Yang» relationship by a unit of their two races.

Sergals generally fall into four broad classifications: Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western.

Fur and hues

Simple color palette which shows quite a few examples of possible, main fur coat colors available to each regional subspecies. Gradients are not to be confused with underbelly colors. (Note these are not set-in-stone strict, some shadings, tones may vary of course)

Sergal fur has a straightforward two-tone color pattern like that of a shark or many earthly mammals. Spots and Stripes are not common. Completely black or white Sergals are rarely seen and those with dark / light color inversion basically don’t exist. However, these things are done by means of fur dyeing, which is a common behavior in urban areas(Southern Gold Ring and Eastern Reono lands). Tal has a variety of dyes derived from organisms. There are those who dye their bodies in vivid colors and even those who get tattoos.

In general, a member of a mixed-species (Civilized Sergals / Easterners) can theoretically display a wide variation and range in their natural coat color, with a few key differences in mind per subspecies:

Northerners will mostly display cold colors on their coats, with a white underbelly color whilst their Southern counterparts will have warm colors on their coats as well as feature white or sandy yellow underbelly shades.

Pure Northerners and Southerners are exempt from this rule as their coat colors have been maintained from years of selective breeding/inbreeding

Easterners can display a somewhat varied array of coat colors, however heavily darker than most if not all Sergals, due to their mixed gene pool. They have a healthy mix of both white and sandy underbelly colors, however, grey tones will be most prevalent due to the hybridization origins (North + South) resulting in colder tones on average.

Westerners are a subspecies of the Northern species, as such their coat color is recessive and can be found sometimes with Northerners as well as the rare few Civilized Southerners, provided their ancestry stems from the scant few Western Sergals lucky enough to reach Gold Ring in times of war as refugees. They are a de facto extinct race subset.

Height Ratios

Rain Silves height during the war was slated to be around 215cm (7’1″) circa 28RC, reaching her peak height of 230cm(7’7″) in the year 40RC right before she was imprisoned. Do note, her height was unique to her alone due to her mutation.

It can be said that an adult sergal’s average height is around 183

6’5″), however, there are regional or subspecies based differences, however slight, given the rate of mixing and population dissemination, the estimates are as follows:

Northern and Western sergals average Heights from

180cm (5’11») to 205cm (6’9″)

195cm (6’5″) to 203cm (6’8″)

160cm (5’3″) to 185cm (6’1″)

However, after the Western extinction and the inevitable mixing between Northern and Eastern lands during the war (brought on via occupation of Reono as well as after, during the reconstruction period), Northern height ratios went up on average, the vigour trait having been spread out to more groups.

The Western sergals lucky enough to make their way to Gold Ring found themselves in awe at the welcoming mix of cultures and given their artistic disposition as well as lack of concern for their own pedigree, they integrated easily into Gold Ring’s society. Thusly, there are no longer any Western Sergals, the subspecies is now considered extinct and absorbed into the other subspecies.

Gold Ring is full of mixed Sergals. The Southern subspecies has many black and grey sergals, and not all are as short as the original Southern subspecies members. This being said, there still are Nobles (the pure Southern sergals), not exhibiting any of the hybrid traits of the North or West.

From 50RC onwards, nationality takes up greater importance than race or subspecies because of the sheer amount of mixing gene pools.

Physical description

While originally lacking noticeable outward physical difference between sexes, female Southern sergals have recently developed more «human» feminine traits.

Their fur is particularly long around the base of their ears, a base of their tail, their breast, wrists, and heels.

There is a conspicuous «>» shaped breastbone (the keel) in the center of their chest. However, this point is commonly overlooked in fan art.

Head and face

The shape of the head and snout is inspired by sharks, with swept-back and pointed ears. The top of their heads is completely flat and smooth. They do not have browlines or curved foreheads.

Ear holes cannot normally be seen from the side, because their ear holes always turn to the rear and are completely covered by rear pointing fur. In other words, their ears are NOT like the ears of Earth’s creatures such as cats or foxes at all.

A thick mane covers the back of their long neck from around the midsection of the head down to the area around the shoulder blades.

The color coding for eyes which sergals can have

Eye colors are generally gray or grayish-colors. Golden or yellow eyes are a result of a mutation unique to Rain Silves.

An adult sergal’s eyes face outwards similar to lizards and rabbits, with vertically slitted pupils similar to those of cats, and in a similar way, their pupils change width according to the amount of light.

This gives them good peripheral vision and situational awareness. Also, their eyes feature superior dynamic visual acuity. However, their overall quality of vision is poor and they have a relatively difficult time focusing on a single point or perceiving depth (stereopsis), making the use of projectile weapons such as bows and guns difficult. All sergals are born with forward-facing eyes, which in most sergals gradually turn to the side as they age.

Some Northern Sergals, especially the pure-strain ones have permanently forward-facing eyes, this is in fact partly due to the environmental effects of Miasma upon them, as such this trait is considered an exception from the norm. Due to this, adult Northern sergals who have forward-facing eyes can be said to be neoteny.

Voice and cries

Sergals have an avian-style throat structure that gives them high-pitched, piercing, clear vocalizations. They are able to speak a general language and can also communicate using various animalistic «cries».

These include sounds like:

For example, a sergal may give a high pitched shriek when charging into combat, or make a whimpering or yapping sound when frightened.

Crying as communication is generally confined to Northern and Western sergals due to their more primitive culture. Eastern sergals may also sometimes use cries but their vocalizations are generally deeper and have rustic dialect like an animal. Southern sergals almost only use verbal language due to their cultural interaction with other races such as the agudners, therefore using cries to communicate is lost to the South.

The edge of a Sergal’s mouth is roughly in vertical alignment with the eyes. The mouth can open very wide like a reptile’s. They have a thick lower lip which can vary from light pink, fleshy tones to dark browns, purple and black, extending from the front of the lower jaw to the middle of the sides resembling that found in canines.

Due to their mouth and throat structure, prey such as small animals is able to be swallowed whole. When eating the meat of large animals they will cut them into chunks since their jaw structure and lack of molars makes their chewing ineffective. They can swallow piglets size things as the largest things that are able to be swallowed by them without cutting. Damage from bite wounds is not so strong, because they don’t have as many teeth and their jaws are not as strong. They have 12 fangs like canine teeth, those are replaced for life several times. Their taste is some rough in comparison with Agudners’.

There are naturally occurring folds on both sides of the tongue near the back of the throat.

Chest and breastbone

Sergals’ arms, shoulders, chest, abdomen, and waist approximately resemble that of a human. One important distinction is the prominent «>» shaped breastbone, sternum or the keel. Due to the dense mass of chest fur, this bone protrusion is sometimes mistaken as merely a lump of fur. Due to the varying height of this protrusion between individuals, sergal clothing and armor are constructed with a wide raised portion around the breast to accommodate this.

They do not have breasts and/or Nipples or the ability to breastfeed their young. Both genders have pectoral muscles like a human male. Sure, they can accumulate fat by virtue of forced obesity in their chest, but they would not turn out as well.

Sergals possess three fingers and an opposable thumb on each hand, and four toes on each foot. Their fingers are similar to the fingers of rodents. While their feet have been described as being similar to avians,their original design was based on rabbits and kangaroos. The upper palms and soles of the feet that make contact with the ground are padded and have no fur.

2016/06/22 The official design was changed: their feet became more like kangaroos and rabbits, and a part of their paw pads develop like protuberances. They grow and mature quickly than Earthian, are considered young adults by the age of 10 years in Earth’s time. They correspond to Earthian 14-16 years old before reaching 10 years old. But this rapid growth brings a short lifespan to them. Their average lifespan is around 60 years old in Earth’s time.

The corresponding appearance change will appear due to aging; the fur of the chin and ear be longer, the cheeks are sunken, the hollows around the eyes are deeper, the wrinkles are made, the skin is sagging, the white fur comes from the face like a dog. Sergals are born with grayish fur regardless of their ethnicity, a feature common to all Eltus races. Their fur will begin to take on its natural regional color upon reaching the equivalent of two earth years in age.

All children have facing eyes, common sergal eyes gradually turn to the side according to growth. However, only Northern sergals keep their eyes on the front.

Since they are the earliest race to reach adulthood in the three Eltus races, children grow and mature quite quickly and become to be considered young adults by the age of 10 years in Earth’s time.

As sergals do not process breastfeeding ability, babies are fed drops of blood of animals and liquefied plant matters or commercial liquid foods until babies become to be able to swallow solid food. But sergal babies need a liquid diet only in the very early stages (about a week from birth), they soon become to be able to eat almost the same as an adult’s diet.

Northern sergal children often play with wildlife found near their homes. However, this rash decision often results in mutilation or death. Southern and Eastern sergal children are more sociable and often play well with other races such as agudners and nevreans.

There are some people who misunderstand the tentacle-shaped part to be a giant clitoris, this, in itself, is not the clitoris. The clitoris exists in the area at the base of the underside of the tentacle-like part, The shape is not very much different from the clitoris of a female human.

Male genitalia

Their penis’ head is similar to Earth’s humans but tapered at the tip. The shaft can be an uneven combination of slight bends, dents, and extrusions, each of these is different and unique for every sergal. The structure of the penis is similar to canines where the penis is settled within a sheath while flaccid. When erect, the entire penis becomes exposed from the base to the tip. The testicles reside outside the body and are contained in a scrotum. Sergal penises are not prehensile.

Sergals are often drawn with a knot on their penis (a bulge near the base that is found on canines) but they do not have them in the official canon.

While originally being carnivorous, sergals living in the more cultured and civilized regions have developed omnivorous tendencies. If they are given a choice between the meat of land animals or fish, they will prefer fish.

Northern sergals are carnivorous and eat the meat of wild game animals. They also favor the meat of large animals, cutting them into chunks so that they can swallow without chewing. They will also kill small animals and swallow them whole. They may also supplement with grasses depending on the season.

Southern sergals are omnivorous and mainly eat fish, plants, and insects. There is not much difference in the availability of animals and plants throughout planet Tal, so differences in eating habits are easily accommodated. Southerners have also incorporated cooking into their culture and eat a variety of invertebrates. Insects are also a popular meal among them, although their variety is not as large as nevreans.

There is a major cultural divide between the Northern and Southern sergals. Having been an isolated culture since ancient times, Northerners live a more primitive and somewhat barbaric lifestyle. By contrast, Southern sergals have integrated with other races such as the agudners and have advanced further in terms of civilization and culture.

Northerns: Their original birthplace is unknown, but they are the oldest lineage of sergals. Northern sergals have lived among a primordial and hostile environment surrounded by dangerous wildlife for most of their history, and this has impeded their development as a civilization.

Southerns: Southern and Eastern sergals have developed a strong and longstanding relationship with the agudners. This has fostered mutually beneficial development in culture and technology.

Personality

Overall, they can be said to be sensuous people, usually depend on intuitive insights and sensuous feelings to consider and judgment something. The details of Sergals’ personality is strongly influenced by its surrounding culture, so there are noticeable differences in the character of Sergals from different areas. In general, they are simple-minded, easy-going, and optimistic, also sometimes show an animalistic sensitive nature such as cowardness and a trend that is easily led by influential something.

Their critical and logical thinking skills are somewhat poor. The average intelligence of an adult Sergal is comparable to that of a 14-year-old human male. However, their keen intuition remains with them even into old age. Most sergals are good and decent individuals, but their naivety and simplistic nature can lead to quarreling, petty violence, and sexual misbehavior. Their naive and honest personality might sometimes be abused by someone who attempts wrongful intentions, as a result, they might often become victims of fraud, due to their aspect that is easy to fool and swindled.

Their simple-mindedness makes them focus on basic concerns, which leads to having poor awareness of the smaller details or the bigger picture. Noteworthy potential benefits of this are that they do not remember quarrels and not hold grudges, and easy to recover from shocking or sad happenings. Also, they tend to show comparatively equal and flat feelings to everything compared to the cases of other Eltus races, this feature helps them to function a pretty fair character that is lesser to have envy, jealousy, and strong emotional attachment for something. This nature is reflected in their usual behavior and manner, it’s obviously contrasting from those of Agudners which tend to have strong emotional feelings and attachment including somewhat negative feelings such as envy and jealousy.

Sergals tend to be simple-minded and have weak critical thinking abilities, as such they are easily influenced by their environment or by charismatic or strong-willed individuals. This is especially apparent in Northern Sergals who live in fear of their natural environment, and their submission to the leadership of General Rain Silves. In addition, due to their deeply religious nature and faithful mentality, they can behave with a mob mentality when influenced by a strong-willed or influential something.

While sergals view strength as a virtue, they do not require it in leadership. Sergals prefer to cooperate in groups without hierarchy, unlike wolves who will fight for dominance in their pack.

This is especially apparent with Northern sergals. Having shared their environment with dangerous wildlife, they formed their society with fear and respect for their natural surroundings and its inhabitants. To them, nature plays both a maternal and adversarial role, and they lack a strong leader among themselves. They sometimes assign roles modeled after the talyxian-associater social structure.

Having lost much of their dependence on and reverence for nature, Southern and Eastern sergals are more likely to want to test their strength amongst themselves. However, this is usually done in the form of sports or hunting contests, preferring not to dominate one another through strength.

Hierarchy

In the Northern lands, the role of leader and high ranking individuals like General Rain is usually handed over by elders or trusted people within their respective groups. Northern sergals can naturally understand what job another should have. Like wolves, their system has no concept of «moving up in the world» and roles are determined naturally. They do not have written words and while very few actually speak, their communication is mostly accomplished with cries.

In the Eastern lands, they hold martial arts matches and various games to determine a potential leader’s strength. Due to their more developed culture and language, there are some other, less physical decisions and recommendations made for positions.

In the Southern lands, physically fighting for things rarely happened, instead of having people who had more experience get into favorable positions. It’s similar to a cooperate boss rather than a combatant leader.

Languages

There are not many civilized languages in the Northern lands. They mainly communicate with cries and body language and sometimes use very simple and primitive words but there are not many of these words. There are Agudners in Northern lands but they are very few in number so their civilized exchanges for things like bartering are very unsophisticated. People who have relations or come from civilized areas can speak languages fluently but even they usually do not know how to write. General Rain and Leeric also didn’t know the language at all early on and they didn’t learn to write throughout their entire lives. In modern times, the Northern people are able to use and speak the common language.

In Eastern lands, most people can use spoken language, having strong, animal-like accents. This is due to their close relationship with Gold Ring though there aren’t many that can read and write, usually being traders who come from Gold Ring.

In Southern lands, most people can use spoken language fluently without an animal-like accent like Easterners. They can’t read and write without learning, but thanks to their society their literacy rate around 40%. In modern times, it is embedded in education, so many people are able to read and write.

Sex differences

Older sergal concepts and more recent Northern sergal designs have made it difficult to determine differences between sexes from outward appearance and behavior. However, Southern and Eastern sergals have begun to show noticeable differences due to the influence of their interaction with the female agudners. For example, most Southern and Eastern females wear feminine clothing.

Southern sergal females, in particular, have fostered their own feminine identity; «They look graceful and pretty, but they have a strong sense of justice and a stubborn, single-minded side.»

Female sergals tend to take initiative for intercourse due to a structure of their genitalia. However, both genders play an equal role in the workplace and in domestic terms.

Sexuality

Also peculiarly as for Sergals, they do not stick to one partner, unlike many humans of Earth. Their basic sexuality may correspond to polyamory and pansexuality in the case of Earth.

Homosexual relationships basically do not receive an antipathy or aversion in Eltus society. Due to this, Sergals also, generally do not have negative feelings about homosexual relationships by default. Because Eltus races cannot reproduce between different races, due to this reason, «romance between different races» and «romance between the same sexes» are considered equally, in addition to the pansexual nature that Sergals have. This sense is rooted in the social environment with racial diversity that Eltus races have lived in, especially the historical and strong relationship between Sergals and Agudners have many points for this background, there are a lot of romantic relationships between them also.

Meanwhile, Talyxians are an exception and inapplicable to this. Because most of the creatures which belong to the Talyxian organism group are considered as «animal» in Eltus sense. Even Talyxian Stalkers who could be recognized as a race depends on conditions, do not have full ‘human rights’ by default. Due to this, having sexual relations with Talyxians is generally treated or considered as bestiality. (Talyxian Rooters are still more exception because they are in an extraordinary special position. T-Rooters are inapplicable to any case.)

Family and childcare

In general, sergals consider their community to be one large «family». They will raise their children communally regardless of blood relationship if they are part of the same social group. It is common for females to bear the young of males other than their partner, who never mind the mating with others in the group. It is not unusual for there to be a few homosexuals among the group as well.

As it is common for both partners to work, couples will usually entrust their offspring to communal childcare facilities for their safety. Educational facilities like schools also exist.

Southern sergals and Eastern sergals living among agudners will almost never raise their children alone. For south and east, cohabitation with agudners is extremely ordinary.

As they do not process breastfeeding ability, they depend on their prey creatures and edible plants around them when they feed their newborns instead. In old times, they fed the blood of animals and liquefied plant matter until babies become to be able to swallow solid food. Industrial food production in the civilized areas has allowed for a range of commercial liquid food for infants that are especially popular in the Gold Ring.

Occupations

And those benefits gave them the ability to take jobs related to wildlife like biology student and farmer. Biology student sergals were used as employee scholar with agudner technology slaves in Shigu Kingdom.

All sergals are suitable to work surroundings of supernatural culture like shamans due to their deeply religious nature and superior sixth sense. They have a strong ability for shamanism as racial nature, especially more primitive sergals like uncivilized Northern sergals were having a higher thing of those.

Shaman sergals do shrine rituals such as ceremonies, praying for rain, praying for sunny, and an exercising. Also, some of them perform magic rituals such as an incantation, a curse, a fortunetelling, and other miscellaneous praying. They do a pilgrimage to dozens of small shrines in each place of planet Tal, to get the super-spiritual powers that they believe that it can make them be able to do both of shrine rituals and magic rituals. But there are some small shrines on dangerous Talyxian plants areas also. Especially, pilgrimage to a small shrine of Magoe Forest have high risk due to many dangerous wildlives and so on.

In prehistoric times

Sergals are generally weak in combat without their weapons (details are written in the next section). Before developing these weapons even the northerners were unable to hunt large prey, so in prehistoric times they had to simply run from larger creatures, catch smaller animals with their own feet, and subsist on protein-rich plants for sustenance. This history of being at the mercy of their natural surroundings has led to the fear and respect towards nature that defined Northern sergal culture in their earlier years.

However, once they possessed these weapons, they were able to hunt larger creatures for their meat and consumption of plants became obsolete. Some Northern sergals were able to escape their primordial surroundings, expanding to the east and interbreeding with Southern Sergals giving rise to their eastern cousins. As these Eastern sergals mingled with Southern sergals and the agudners, their technique and technology were further improved. Their hunting abilities continued to be refined, and their fear and religious faith in their surroundings weakened in response. Still, to this day many Northern sergals still consider the primitive beasts of the north to be of special significance as a source of both fear and food.

Weapons and combat

Sergals are most adept at close to middle range combat. Their bones are strong but due to their slender posture, they do not use very heavy armor.

Sergals prefer to use a lance, spear, javelin, long-sword, two-handed sword, saber, slingshot, or occasionally a mace when fighting in combat. Sergals, particularly those aligned with the Shigu Clan, would supplement their armors with claw additions to their talons and leg-mounted blades in order to enhance their close-range deadliness. These were developed mainly by the Shigu and their use is considered excessively barbarous and cruel, their foes often fearing and outright despising those making use of such tools.

Sergals tend not to use larger shields, but a small type of shield attached to their forearm is commonly employed.

Basically, sergals love melee combat and are quite deadly at it. They prefer the use of bladed weapons as they find the most effective at dealing with Talyxian or even the occasional Eltus threats. Blades also hold up a very distinct, spiritual meaning in lore as well as practical, which is why they are emphasized as the usual go-to solution, from the old-era all the way up to modern.

In addition, sergals have a wide peripheral vision, superior dynamic visual acuity, and excellent situational awareness, however, their overall quality of vision is poor. Due to their eyesight working in conjunction with their brain structure, they are unable to focus on a single target well, and they cannot successfully use projectile weapons without assistance. However, they can practice simple long-range attack like a javelin at close range quite well.

In unarmed situations

In close range unarmed combat, tackles, jumping kicks, and biting are common methods of defense. Their reliance on running attacks puts them at a disadvantage in enclosed spaces. Damage from bite wounds is not as severe as that of a female nevrean, as sergals do not have as many teeth and their jaws are not as strong.

Combat style and ability

Sergals specialize in teamwork during hunting and combat in a manner similar to a canine pack. Their main proficiency is in evasion and strong offensive abilities, featuring quick, dynamic movements and leveraging their strong jumping ability. Their strength is in close range combat, and they can quickly close the distance from mid-range engagements. They will take advantage of their high stamina to run long distances, chasing down their enemy or prey until they do not have the strength to escape.

Due to their size, their agility is inferior to Nevreans, but once they are up to speed, they can move the fastest and furthest of any Eltus race.

Sergal soldiers wear relatively light combat armor made of ceramic and can disregard their own defense to a degree when facing off against an opponent. Sergals secrete a large amount of adrenaline during combat and can ignore minor injuries and distractions. Their sensitivity to pain is dulled and their focus is sharpened significantly. However, their critical thinking also deteriorates and they will behave like a pack of lemmings without sufficiently skilled leadership.

Like all vampires, he sees humans as mere livestocks and even laughed at the humans who thought that the vampires came to protect them. He says vampires do not protect livestocks but rather own them.

He appears to be obedient when given his orders.

Sociable by nature, Lacus tries repeatedly to get Mika to open up or speak. He is concerned about Mika refusing to drink blood directly from humans when he can, although he is not aware that Mika has yet to ever drink any human blood at all. He appears to care about Mika in spite of Mika’s constant rejections toward any kind of friendship. However, he later states to Aiko Aihara that he does not care if Mika dies.

He is always with René Simm.

Not thinking about anything too deeply, he simply faithfully follows his desires. He has difficulty restraining his thirst and tends to drink so much blood that the human dies. This has been shown at least twice so far.

History

Currently his past is unknown. What is known about Lacus is that in his human life he had siblings, and in 2012, he killed Yoichi Saotome’s sister, Tomoe Saotome, when he drank too much of her blood. René then informed him him they are being called to HQ, and Lacus leaves. [2]

Events of 2020

Second Shibuya High Arc

Along with the other city guards Mikaela Hyakuya and René Simm, Lacus arrives in Sannomiya, Kobe to claim the territory for the vampires. After Mika slaughters a Horseman attacking a human girl in one swing, the humans cheered saying that they will now be protected and helped by the vampires just like the humans in Osaka and Lacus comments that they are idiotic creatures. Lacus laughs at them, stating that they do not protect livestock and were merely keeping them fresh since they owned them.

Attempting to strike up a conversation with Mika, he comments that Mika has only been a vampire for four years but has such amazing power. He says there was a rumor that Mika was turned into a vampire by her majesty, Third Progenitor Krul Tepes, herself and asked if it was true. Listening as René says Mika stole the kill and hearing Mika say he does not care about the glory and that the others may claim the credit, Lacus and René shrugged and proceeded to inform the new livestocks of their rules. René informs that those gathered from now on this district will be governed by the vampires, they can guarantee their safety. In exchange, all they have to do is to donate blood to the vampires so that they can continue to keep them safe. [3]

When Yoichi is making a contract with his demon, Lacus is seen as Gekkouin uses this memory to erode Yoichi and possess him. Physically, Lacus is onboard an aircraft nearing Tokyo where an announcement reports they expect attacks from the Japanese Imperial Demon Army near Ikebukuro, Shinjuku and Shibuya then asks Mika if he heard that. Shinjuku Arc

He, René, and Mika follow Seventh Progenitor Ferid Bathory’s orders when the attack Shinjuku. Ferid orders Lacus and René to take charge of the human soldiers while he and Mika fight the enemy leader, Lieutenant Colonel Guren Ichinose.

Post-Shinjuku Arc

After they return to Sanguinem from the battlefield, he, René, and Mika all receive curse detoxification. Mika had the worst injuries, and Lacus asks him how he is doing. Lacus continues trying to talk to Mika, bringing up his ignoring his elders, the monster on the battlefield, the Progenitor Council, the «seraph of the end,» their unknown objective, Ferid, Mika knowing that monster, Lady Krul favoring Mika, and what exactly Mika is. Mika only answers with silence until responding to Lacus’s final question by saying he is just an ugly bloodsucker, which baffles Lacus. Krul Tepes summons Mika to the Royal Audience Chamber, and Lacus calls him a queen’s pet.

Nagoya Arc

Lacus and Rene are approached by Mika in Kyoto. All of them are wearing their new uniforms. They have the order to deploy to Nagoya.

Lacus, along with Rene and Mika are sent on an assignment to collect humans from the surface and deliver them to Nagoya. Lacus chases down a human girl, claiming they do not kill livestock, but he drinks her dry and drops her corpse a moment later. Mika calls him out on it, but he says that drinking feels so good that he always forgets to stop before the human dies. He asks Mika if he is going to drink any blood which Mika says he is not. He sees that Mika is in pain from his thirst and tries to convince him to drink some. He warns Mika that they might not be free to drink when they reach Nagoya. Mika claims he is not interested in human blood, which Lacus sees as unlikely.

Mika drinks blood from a vial before dropping it and attacking a human child. Mika stops before biting her and lets her go. He says he does not need any blood. The choppers take off with the livestock since they met their quota, and Lacus, René, and Mika head to Nagoya on foot. They enter a helicopter at some point off-scene.

As soon as they arrive, Aiko Aihara destroys the nearest helicopter when it arrives, and the three vampires jump down. Mika attacks her while the other two take on the rest of the human cavalry. The humans commit suicide by swallowing poison. When the three decide to head to Nagoya City Hall, Aiko jumps back to life and attempts to hold Mika hostage. René orders him to capture her, and he crushes her wrist, much to Lacus’s amusement. She begs for her life and reveals that the JIDA sent an army of fifty to attack the Automobile Museum and assassinate Seventeenth Progenitor Zane Lindau.

They begin to head off, but the human jumps back to life and attempts to kill Mika once again. Mika kills her in retaliation, and they are unable to ask her further questions. Mika claims he cannot trust the word of a human who killed herself and takes five lesser soldiers to investigate Nagoya City Hall while Lacus and René go to the Automobile Museum with the other soldiers.

Post-Nagoya Arc

Three months after the battle at Nagoya airport, Ferid makes a summons to the Progenitor Council. Suddenly from outside, the humans invade Sanguinem. Lacus and René runs in on the meeting, saying the humans are coming to the palace and that he (Ferid) must flee.

Osaka Arc

Three months later

Lacus and René are in new attire when they see Mika at Osaka Bay with the other vampires gathered there. Lacus tells Mika that the vampires are going to be retaking Sanguinem, and expresses his disbelief that the vampire capital ended up falling. He is unaware of a now teenage Yoichi watching him from a far, and is plotting his revenge on Lacus for killing his sister. Later on, Lacus comments on Krul’s predicament when she and Ferid are subjected to sunlit torture.

In Chapter 68, he appeared briefly with René as the Horsemen of Apocalypse disappears.

Powers and Abilities

Natural abilities

Being a vampire, he is naturally stronger than a human and has the ability to regenerate from non-curse wounds. He can also gain strength by drinking human blood.

Despite not being a noble, Lacus is known to have a high combat ability.

In the anime, Lacus also wields a sword that does not require blood from the user for strength, as its shown to create a blast of wind that easily pushed back Mito Jujo from a single slash.

Synopsis

With the appearance of a mysterious virus that kills everyone above the age of 13, mankind becomes enslaved by previously hidden, power-hungry vampires who emerge in order to subjugate society with the promise of protecting the survivors, in exchange for donations of their blood.

Among these survivors are Yuuichirou and Mikaela Hyakuya, two young boys who are taken captive from an orphanage, along with other children whom they consider family. Shinoa is probably the only reason I watch this every week.

That and the Opening song.

When I first started watching this I thought I was going to get a Attack on Titan type Revenge story with Vampires instead of Titans.

I was wrong. It quickly becomes a School based setting with Main Girl obviously crushing on Main guy.

They battle with inner demons, their past and obtain power to combat the vampires.

. Good thing there’s a second season.

Definitely an enjoyable series. just don’t expect AoT type stuff.

Alright, this is one of the most popular shows last season so I found it reasonable for it to serve as my first review for the season.

The story continues to progress predictably while MC meets a typical cast of characters which I’ll get into. But the absolute worst thing about the series is the dialogue. It’s beyond generic and incredibly predictable. From «I’ll kill all the vampires» to «I’ll make sure no one dies lol». Just as no one seems to think before they spout whatever trash they want to say, they author doesn’t seem give much thought to what dialogue can convey. It’s as if he tried to take every cool sounding line from previously anime and manga and apply them where possible only to receive the opposite effect of what he hoped.

The weapons systems is retarded. They are controlled by demons and you must make a contract with a demon using some arbitrary and nonsensical show of «willpower», Which will lead to yet again some more predictable scenes. The fights are strangely favorable to MC and his party even though the power level between humans and Vampires is revealed to be huge. The upper level Vampires never go all out for whatever reason and constantly miss chances to kill, in contrast to episode one where the kids are cut apart in seconds. The thing I realized about this series is there is nothing unique about it. There is nothing that make it stand out and be recognized as «that anime». This isn’t simply in comparison to AOT, but many good or at least decent anime. This goes back to the blandness of the dialogue, and the blandness of the characters.

Characters 2/10:
Not much to say here. The character are all dull as I said. The MC is a typical angry little kid who wish to exterminate the vampires. He spouts the expected edgy lines all throughout the first few episode thinking he doesn’t need friends to kill, he wants to hurry up and kill, etc. He meets a typical shy kid who seems completely useless but can actually be somewhat helpful, and a typical rival character who is an ass but is actually nice on the inside. Shinoa was actually decent and entertaining as well. Maybe that’s why I remember her name along with just a few others. Her smug playfulness drew an interesting contrast with her serious attitude on the field. But that’s about it.

Strangely enough with all the emphasis on teamwork you’d think there’d be more tactics in fights but I guess not. The vampires didn’t appear enough to do anything other than say the usual antagonistic lines and how things seemed interesting. MCs friend survives and turns into a Vamp, no surprise here. The show does a terrible job drawing sympathy for the viewer for either side, though it clearly aims to do so with MC’s friend being turned while MC fights the vampires and a few other reasons.

Art 6/10:
The character designs are good but the animation can be inconsistent with one hilarious episode standing out in terms of poor quality. The water color-esque background are unique and works well for indoor scenes, but outdoors draws an huge contrast with the 2D character figures which can be annoying. Fight scenes were done decently at best, as seems WIT is saving the shekels for AOT.

Music 6/10:
Many people take the opportunity to shamelessly cream themselves when Hiroyuki Sawano is revealed to be handling the music composition for an anime. This is certainly not on the level of AOT or Kill la Kill and it’s not anything special. It’s has some good moments but nothing else.

Entertainment 5/10
Even with all I mentioned the series managed to remain entertaining enough for me to at least complete it. I may or may not be watching season 2, but I don’t feel like I’ve completely wasted my time somehow. Maybe I still retain hope for the show to get better and haven’t been completely let down (considering my expectations were pretty low in the first place)

Overall 3/10:
If you like something generic yet can kill time without causing you to die of boredom, this may be the show for you.

The story of Owari no Seraph is so standard-fare that if someone were to tweak it with a few name and setting changes, they will be able to use the same synopsis to describe any other show with a familiar setup. Use the template below and see how many bottom-of-the-barrel shows you an insert:

And in the process of doing so, they slowly discover the mystery of their sudden appearance that might be closer to home than what was intially thought.

To say that there’s little to talk about when discussing Owari’s story would be an understatement. Everything I can say here can apply to any other cheaply patched-together narrative. Instead, I’ll discuss if the execution of this setup was done right nor not. Despite harping on its overused premise, it can still be done well if executed and presented with some tact. and to the surprise of no one, Owari didn’t even manage to do that.

The story is supposed to document the power struggle between humanity and vampires, with our protagonist and his friends being in the centerfold of all the events taking place. You’d think with such a setup that we’d at least get an action-filled romp to keep us entertained but sadly, all we got were less than 2-episodes worth of skirmishes. That’s right, a show that boasts «action» as its primary genre couldn’t even fulfill that simple quota. That’s like ordering a Porterhouse steak and receiving a White Castle slider instead. To add insult to injury, the pacing for Owari was painfully slow, despite what the erratic time-skip-filled 1st episode would have you believe. Plot points that would normally be wrapped up in 10-15 minutes with proper pacing are now extended to 2-3 episodes. This made some events that barely held any plot relevance to adopt the type of pacing akin to long-running battle shounens.

And as if that wasn’t enough to seal its fate, the story of Owari is also plagued with plot conveniences happening in rapid succession:

A virus wipes out humanity but «conveniently» doesn’t kill anyone 13 and below. Enslaved kids attempt a big escape from their vampire capturers and our protagonist is «conveniently» the only one to get away, where he «conveniently» meets a resistance force that was «conveniently» waiting right outside the escapee’s exit. Humanity has «conveniently» discovered a way to infuse demon’s energy into weapons to fight against the vampires with the scriptwriters’ explanation being «just because.» And since shounen protagonists are always special snowflakes, he «conveniently» mastered this infusion where many others have been known to fail. And no, he never practiced, because God knows he’s the special snowflake. And the rest of the story adheres to this painfully forced path from beginning to end. There isn’t an episode that goes by where you’re not thinking «well that sure was convenient.» The screenplay is plagued with the artifice of fatalistic storytelling while pretending that aspect to its writing doesn’t exist. «You can’t have your cake and eat it too» perfectly encapsulates the issue on display.
Haven’t done a lick of training but need a power boost? Well, how about this «conveniently» placed power-boost pill that was never foreshadowed or properly introduced beforehand. Stuck in a dire situation where all your friends are in trouble? Well, how about a «conveniently» timed supernatural powerup using the trite «dark side» shounen cliche.

And again, a formulaic setup isn’t inherently a bad thing if done with finesse but this show just doesn’t demonstrate any concern for decent storytelling whatsoever. It’s a show that would rather abuse every literary device in the book if it’ll get it the results it wants rather than achieving the same end-result through careful consideration. Owari is sloppy writing 101.

An area that demonstrated some effort, however, was the art and animation. By itself, the art and animation were fine but when brought together, they mixed as seamlessly as oil and water. The 2D character designs in contrast to the watercolor/oil-pastel inspired backgrounds felt very out of place. This was made apparent in open environments where the individual scenes showed no proper separation between its foreground and background. There’s no dimension or depth in the background, which result in the characters moving awkwardly across the landscape. It’s like watching them play things out on a green screen, which is made all the more amusing given that it’s animated and not live-action.

While they didn’t mesh well together, the creators still deserve credit for at least attempting to make it different, as the backgrounds did look quite nice at times, with a nice range of color choices and purposeful brush stroke-like textures. The character designs were all fine as well, being distinct enough to tell apart from other series. However, I am disappointed that they never had any well-choreographed fights, especially considering the limited amount of physical encounters they chose to have, to begin with. As a whole, the art and animation were passable, it wasn’t the best but it did demonstrate some creative decisions in its visual output. At worst, a bit off model and at best, a serviceable piece of work.

If Owari had any saving graces it’ll be the opening theme that came with it. It was a toe-tappingly infectious tune with well-timed visuals that I found myself playing on repeat. A catchy pop ballad that hit just the right notes and visual presentation that kept it in tempo. Surprisingly enough, the soundtrack had some restraint to it, which is uncommon for Hiroyuki Sawano, especially when taking into consideration his previous work on Attack on Giant Naked People and Kill La Wincest. While it still had his signature use of orchestric soundbites and digital glitch-pop buildup, it was often intertwined with shyer melodic tunes. It was refreshing if only unexpected for what Sawano is known for.
The voice acting was all fine, with the standout being Takahiro Sakurai’s performance for the vampire antagonist, Ferid Bathory. He did a good job giving him a playful yet sinister tone, which really helps to sell how much of a baddie he was. But enough appraisal, time to address the biggest crux of Owari, and that were the characters.

Like the underbaked story, the characters suffered from an equal amount of problems. On top of being indistinguishable from your garden variety shounen lineup, they were also all grossly underdeveloped. Our protagonist, Yuu Hyakuya, is yet another hot-blooded teen who’s on a quest for revenge. His one-track mindset is only topped by his regurgitated «I will defeat them all!», «I don’t need friends!» mantras that he seems to want to yell out every 10-minutes. What’s disheartening about the protagonist is that if given the proper time, he could have actually received decent characterization. There were several opportunities that could have allowed for this to occur but they were never taken advantage of. If you want the audience to get invested in a conflict, there needs to be proper time given to let the events unfold. If something life-altering happens to our protagonist that would cause a metamorphosis upon conquering that mental dilemma, it would benefit the story to let the audience see that play out. But instead of giving the proper time to allow this to happen, they simply time skipped pass this rough stage altogether. So not only was the story written with a sense of artificiality, but even the little decency it could have attained through demonstrating the character’s growth was completely disregarded.

The rest of the cast were all forgettable nobodies you could find in other series. There was the pussy sidekick, the friendemy rival, the tsundere, and Douchbag teacher-sama, and the list goes on and on. Possibly the only character that had a decent personality was Shinoa Hiiragi, one of our protagonist’s comrades. Her snarky, playful attitude made her interaction with the others fun to watch, but like the others, she remained underdeveloped and lacked any proper characterization outside of the already playful nature that she possessed. Another key character brought up was Yuu’s childhood friend, Mikaela, but his involvement comes with spoilers so I’ll leave it at that. The vampire antagonists were all one-dimensional baddies and none of them really mattered in the end. The only one that really got focus was Ferid Bathory, due to his involvement with our protagonist’s life-altering incident. He’s cartoonishly sinister and takes lives in a carefree manner, and that’s about the extent of him as a character.

And after running through everything that Owari no Seraph had to offer, the final verdict can’t surmount to anything other than generic.

This title is a knock-off brand shounen in every way possible. While I wasn’t really bothered watching it, I certainly wasn’t impressed either. The setup was predictable and the cliched moments just came in by the truckload. It was a time-passer, but not a good one at that.

If you’re a newcomer to anime then Owari could, at best, serve as a gateway title to help you get a little insight into the medium’s common practices. But if you’ve been a part of the anime community for a decent amount of time and have grown tired of these formulaic setups, then I suggest skipping this one as it does nothing but follow a set checklist like its life depended on it.

Как минимум, эту вещь можно назвать сюрпризом года. Причем многократным и во всех смыслах. Отпишусь сразу по обоим сезонам.

Первая серия давала интересную завязку и обладала неплохим потенциалом. Но уже со второй сериал начал стремительное погружение в глубины сценарного маразма, а лица зрителей – в ладони. Такого всепоглощающего слива я сходу даже и не припомню. Не удивительно, что смотревшие онгоингом дропнули это от греха подальше.

Исползав дно вдоль и поперек, в середине первого сезона сериал внезапно оттолкнулся от него ногами и стал постепенно подниматься. Ближе к концу сезона он вышел на уровень середняка. Благодаря этому второй сезон смотрелся довольно легко и с удовольствием. Правда, последние серии и промежуточная концовка вышли скомканными и слабыми. Вот так сериалу удалось удивить целых три раза: слившись в помои, став снова нормальным и не сумев выдержать уровень до конца.

Если расписать плюсы и минусы, будет примерно следующее:

+ шикарные фоны (некоторые красивы настолько, что хоть на обои ставь)
+ отличный саундтрек (причём в нужные моменты)
+ Шиноа (замечательный персонаж, поверьте, в комментах к первому сезону её не просто так хвалили)
+ самоирония авторов, вложенная в речь персонажей
+ местами попадаются очень сильные моменты (про это чуть позже упомяну)
+ несколько интересных второстепенных персонажей по обе стороны конфликта
+ необычная чёрно-салатовая гамма в дизайнах
Что не понравилось:
— регулярно возникающий сценарный бред
— кошмарная неровность повествования
— внеплановое отключение мозга у ранее адекватных персонажей
— местами режиссура падает до катастрофически низкого уровня
— скомканность второй промежуточной концовки

В заключение хотелось бы сказать пару слов в защиту сериала. Хоть он и отпугнул от себя многих, позорно слившись после первой серии на целых полсезона, выправившись потом, стал напоминать вполне смотрибельное зрелище. Он может порадовать как графикой, так и звуком; как интересными персонажами, так и сильными моментами. Чтобы не быть голословным и обойтись без спойлеров как пример: второй сезон, шестая серия, где-то девятнадцатая с половиной минута. Достаточно напряжённый и драматический момент достигает развязки под врывающийся в тишину мощный, надрывный женский вокал. Потрясающе красивая сцена, за подобные моменты я даже готов закрыть глаза на вертолёты, которые сбивали из луков. 🙂 Так что дайте произведению второй шанс – не исключено, что оно всё же сможет вам понравиться.

За первый сезон – 6/10, за второй – 8/10. Потенциально сильная вещь, погубленная сценарным и режиссёрским беспределом.

Честно говоря, я наткнулся на это аниме совершенно случайно (уже когда выходил второй сезон).
Несмотря на отсутствие положительных комментариев, общее сравнение с «Титанами» меня подкупило, поэтому я тут же приступил к скачке и параллельному просмотру…
И, как оказалось, все зря.
Ведь вместо мрачного антиутопичного боевика передо мной почему-то предстала очередная магическая школа в полевых условиях.

Если все это выходило лишь как реклама к манге, то лично меня она не зацепила (за весь просмотр так и не появилось желания туда заглянуть).
Поэтому и смотреть я такое не рекомендую никому (разве что вы всеядный и уже не рискуете подхватить «синдром зря потраченного времени»).

Krul herself had a love for prophecies, especially in her current state. The prophecy she loves most is her son’s, Mikaela, prophecy. It was a rather simple prophecy, and it indeed was in her favor. Her son’s prophecy was to succeed the title king from his father, with the exception that he must have his mate with him when he does. Her husband, the Alpha King, was well respected around the world. He ran the most powerful and intimidating pack, so naturally, he had many connections and allies. His connections and allies never betrayed him and were as faithful as possible to him.

Now, back to Krul.

Krul lived as a werewolf for thousands, possibly millions, of years. She was gifted with the power of seeing things through the Moon Goddess’s eyes. «I can’t believe you cheated on me! How could you!?» (Y/N)’s mother shouts at her husband, the beta.

«I certainly did not cheat on you, woman!»

«Then why were you in bed with that woman!?» Krul just so happened to walk in on their fight.

«Is there a problem?» She asks, getting somewhat worried.

«Queen! My husband cheated on me with that tramp!!» The (H/C) woman wailed as she crouched and hugged her knees.

«Is that true, Beta?»

«Of course not! Queen!»

«..» Krul didn’t say anything as she dismissed the situation, knowing her beta would not lie.

Oh how wrong she was..

«HAS ANYONE SEEN MY WIFE!?» The beta shouts, gaining everyone’s attention. They either said no or shook their head. The beta grits his teeth and runs up to their bedroom. Upon opening the door, the air of the room felt cold against his skin and the room also felt and seemed empty. He walked to the center of the room and saw a note taped to the mirror of the dresser. He plucked it off the mirror and started reading it.

«I can’t do this anymore. I know that you’re cheating on me with her, not just once or twice, but multiple times! If you really want to play this game with me, well, you already are, I’m sorry, I will not stick around for this. I’m not going to start a family with you, you bastard. Now that I’m gone, I hope you’re happy with that tramp. Good bye forever.

«Oh no.. OH NO NO NO!!» The beta shouted, running downstairs to show the Alpha King the note.

The Alpha King was beyond furious. His son’s mate has literally slipped out of his grasp! All of their arrangements have been ruined by this mutt! How dare this mutt cheat on his wife!!

«EXECUTE THIS FILTHY MUTT. » He roars. The commanders immediately obey and drag the screaming beta away, ready to chop off his head with silver.

«Now that this is a drastic time, drastic measures must be taken. MY FELLOW PACK MEMBERS! YOU WILL FIND MY SON’S MATE! YOU WILL MAKE THIS YOUR SOLE OBJECTIVE! UNDERSTAND?» The Alpha Kings shouts, using his strong Alpha voice. The members kneel on their knees and bow down to him, obeying him.

«Yes, Alpha King!» They shout back, hatred gleamed in their eyes for the beta. Shame on him for ruining this pack’s future.

«We need to send out warnings to every pack in the world, telling them our future king’s mate is on the loose. Who knows where that woman will run to..» The King mutters to his wife, who wraps her arms around his buff arm.

«Don’t. Who knows what pack could capture her and kill her along with the child; things will become messy if our enemy packs find out. I believe I should go look for them. After all, who knows what the child will look like when she is born.. Additionally, I have the power to automatically tell that she is the one..»

«No, it’s too dangerous. I don’t want to lose my beloved wife.»

«I don’t wish to lose our son’s mate. This will ruin our entire arrangement for the prophecy.» Krul tries to reason.

«. Very well. I shall go with you.»

«No, Dear. You will stay here. I will take several pack members and with me, just in case we run into trouble.»

«When Mikaela turns 18, send him out to me and we will look for the girl together. You may come along if you wish, but I prefer not, for you must run this pack. I fear trouble will arise if you are gone.» Krul says, rubbing her cheek against her husband’s, who growls softly.

«As you wish, my beloved Queen..»

The female wolf runs across the tundra slowly. Her energy died long ago, for she was carrying her child and shifting into wolf form previously were both exhausting. She slows to a walk and eventually slows to a stop, panting.

‘Almost there.. I can see civilization..’ The wolf thinks as she sees a city ahead. The sight of the city brought her hope and motivation. She musters up her courage and energy and rushes forward, running to the city in seek of shelter.

Northern Sergals

Northern sergals(北方サーガル) remain the most true to the original sergal concepts. Common adult sergals have eyes turning the side, but they keep eyes on front throughout their life. They live in the Northern regions of planet Tal such as the Astna Plains. They are cowardly, deeply religious, and easily influenced. They continue to live their primitive lifestyle to this day. They were the only sentient beings in the North land before General Rain appeared.

Unlike those sergals living in the more developed regions to the South and East, Northern sergals have lived their lives in close proximity to the dangerous primitive beasts of Tal. Their way of life of hunting and religion has changed little over time with many of them following a nomadic lifestyle. A sort of «insanity» has developed among Northern sergals due to their fear of their environment and the creatures that inhabit it. They have nonetheless learned to live with this at least somewhat successfully.

Appearance

There is little variation in facial appearance between individual Northern sergals, with males and females being outwardly indistinguishable. They wear a permanently wary expression due to their fear of their natural surroundings. Specifically, eyes turn to the front, and ears lie down. As a result, they have a similar appearances of Old Age’s sergals.

Their ears are slightly shorter and their fur thicker than their southern cousins. Their fur is thicker around the mane and heels. Their overall physique is larger though they are still not as muscular as the hybrid Eastern sergals.

Their fur colors are cooler shades ranging from black through to gray, blue and purple. The «purest» of Northern sergals have kept their original gray and white color scheme.

Behavior

Northern sergals have long lived in superstitious awe of their forest surroundings and the dangerous primitive creatures that inhabit them. This reverence has formed the basis for their spirituality and animistic belief system, as well as their hunting and gathering lifestyle.

Individually cowardly, they can nonetheless behave courageously as a group when confronted by a sufficiently terrible threat and guided by suitably fearless individual. They grieve just little when their friend dies by menace of nature. They consider that «It is scary, but there is no help for it. Because it is rule of nature.»

Originally their diet would consist of anything they could get their hands on, but has since become almost purely carnivorous. Still, they may still eat certain grasses and insects if prey is scarce. They prefer to eat their prey intact and swallow it whole after it has been stabbed to ensure it is dead. When larger game is killed, they will cut off chunks of a manageable size to swallow whole.

General Rain Silves’ Shigu clan occupies a large territory in the northern lands, the only region of planet Tal that could be considered a kingdom or monarchy. General Rain’s rise to power brought about a marked change in the Northern sergals’ lifestyle, and much of their traditional way of life was lost in the process.

Early northern lifestyle

The Northern sergals’ natural environment has always played both a maternal and adversarial role. They regard the forests they inhabit with reverence and awe. While they will use the resources of the forest to sustain them, they would never destroy more than is necessary for their survival.

They worship the wild talyxian-associators as an «incarnation of the forest», modelling aspects of their lifestyle after the t-associators behavior. However, they will sometimes kill t-associators and use their corpses for accessories. A headdress made from the t-associators skull holds special spiritual significance.

Socially, they will form settlements based around their extended families. They have little in the way of formal laws and use their spiritual connection to the forest as their main source of moral guidance. Individual settlements may be led by an elder or another individual with strong intuition or leadership skills.

Certain individuals may take on leadership roles for their unusual bravery or intuition. Hunting groups may feature a thought-leader whose intuition and deep knowledge of the natural environment is used to make decisions regarding hunting or lifestyle. Meanwhile, a uniquely brave individual may inspire courage in the whole group, and inspire them to act in the face of overwhelming fear such as when encountering primitive creatures.

Their communication is generally confined to cries and some body language due to their more primitive culture. There are some words for spoken language, but those are very simple and primitive. Also there are not any text in their culture.

Domination by Rain Silves (after Shigu founded)

The appearance of Rain Silves and her subsequent rise to dominance led to a major shift in the Northern sergals’ lifestyle.

General Rain was able to use the Northern sergals inherent spirituality to her advantage. Those whose faith in the forest was the strongest proved most susceptible to brainwashing, they could be commanded to behave as an almost bestial mob and show great brutality. Rain was able to use her experience growing up in a forest settlement to twist the Northern sergals reverence for the «law of the forest» to her own ends. This ferocity has resulted in General Rain’s troop proving insurmountable even for the Eastern sergals of the Reono, despite their individual physical superiority.

Since their domination by Rain, Northern sergals have almost completely abandoned their hunter-gatherer lifestyle and prefer to gather food and resources through the pillaging of rival clans and other acts of oppression. Shigu military technology advanced rapidly as they plundered the resources of their neighbours. Agudner «technology slaves» were captured and forced to perform specialized research for the Shigu.

A part of people may know some text and more words due to slaves who came from East, but most of them still can’t use text and civilized spoken language until arrives at modern time.

Why did they change suddenly?

It may be said that the Northern sergals’ susceptibility to manipulation and mind control can be attributed to the atmosphere of their forest surroundings.

Some part of Tal’ primeval forest have strong miasma. Almost people avoid it, but Northern sergals are exception. Northerns live with such miasmal forest, and eat wildlife from such place. So they live by accept miasma, and are adapted to it. Such miasma of the primordial forest leaving them in a permanent state of hypnosis.

Lacking a strong will of their own, they have adapted to their own near insanity, but this has left them vulnerable to brainwashing by an exceptionally strong willed individual like Rain Silves, behaving like puppets with a new owner.

After world-war, a whole of Northern lands will develop and globalize. Then «Shigu Kingdom» will change to «Shigu Dukedom (or Shigu public)». And many Northern people will be able to use civilized spoken language and text.

The Vilous universe is powered by its two creators, Mick and Kiki. Mick Ono, the original artist and visual designer for Vilous, and Kiki CR a.k.a. Kiki-UMA, the lore creator and world director.

Земля находится в руинах, а на немногочисленных островках жизни правят жестокие и беспощадные демоны. Главный герой решает, что пришла пора человечеству предъявить права на свою планету. Став воином, Юитиро сможет вернуть дом людям, пусть для этого придется сразиться и с демонами, и с вампирами.

He had no eyebrows and appears to wear extremely dark makeup around his eyes, giving him an appearance similar to Marilyn Manson. He also wore extremely dark lipstick. He has straight shoulder-length hair, and he has bangs down the left side of his face with his scalp shaved on the right. Like all true vampires, he has fangs, red eyes, and pointed ears. His earlobes have one simple piercing each.

He wore a top hat with a band around it. He had a white shawl not unlike Ferid Bathory’s but wore a popped up collar. He had numerous thick dark ruffles trailing down from his neck piece. He wore a lengthy white shirt that reaches his thighs. His shirt had large black cuffs that cover most of his forearm. Like most vampires, he wears white gloves. He wore a black belt. He had a second cape at his waist that trails to his mid-calf. He wore black thigh-high boots with the tops pointed downward to reveal the white material.

Personality [ ]

A foolish, extremely proud, pompous, and temperamental vampire. He became angry very easily when taunted by Shihō Kimizuki to beg for his arm back. Although he was proud enough to want to ignore Krul Tepes’s orders and he considered her to have an insufferable attitude, he was rational enough to not ignore them outright.

A seasoned fighter with considerable experience, he is good at analyzing the enemy’s abilities and also has excellent judgement.

He valued his life but not the lives of anyone else. During a sniping attempt against him, he sacrificed his servant Esther’s life to block the attack rather than merely getting out of the way.

He thought of humans as maggots.

Story [ ]

Events of 2012 [ ]

On December 12th, Kureto leads a group of 200 soldiers to destroy one of the Hyakuya Sect’s research facilities. However, the vampires destroy them first. Lucal Wesker intercepts them with a group of vampires. He lets them go on a whim because he only drinks the blood of children. He appreciates Kureto’s immediate subordination to him.

He then leaves with the rest of the vampires, including one named Lugi, to obliterate the Thousand Nights.

Events of 2020 [ ]

Nagoya Arc [ ]

At 14:00 (2:00 PM) every day, Fifteenth Progenitor Lucal Wesker, sits on a bench in the park plaza at his ward in Nagoya. He does the same the day the Moon Demon Company enters Nagoya. He chats with his servant Esther talking about the wonderful weather and inviting Esther to join him while sipping the blood of a four-year-old girl from a wine glass. He asks Esther about the mission Third Progenitor Krul Tepes sent them, which discusses destroying the Japanese Imperial Demon Army in Tokyo. He calls her insufferable. As he and Esther belong to Lest Karr’s faction, they refuse to obey requests from Lady Krul as long as there are no direct orders from the Progenitor Council. He asks Esther what the opinions of the other ten nobles are, and Esther tells him they vary.

He asks about Thirteenth Progenitor Crowley Eusford, who belongs to Seventh Progenitor Ferid Bathory’s faction. He and Esther have no idea what they are up to. Lady Krul is sending humans to them as gifts, but Lucal does not want them. He quickly changes his attitude when he learns Krul is coming in person.

Major General Shinya Hīragi and Special Private Yoichi Saotome attempt to snipe Lucal, but he notices their attack and quickly blocks it with Esther’s body, leaving naught but Esther’s right arm and glasses behind. He activates his sword and swings it at the tower the snipers are perched on, breaking the top of the tower and nearly sending the two flying.

Lucal walks forward as explosions from the snipers’ attacks exterminate the common vampires along with a good portion of the park. He encounters Special Private Yūichirō Hyakuya. Shinoa Squad and Narumi Squad attack him. He grabs Sergeant Shinoa Hīragi’s scythe by the blade and flings her into Sergeant Makoto Narumi’s path, but Yu intercepts. Lucal targets Yu, claiming he is too powerful for a human, but Special Duty Second Lieutenant Mitsuba Sangū distracts him with demon clones using Tenjiryu. He swats them away with one hand. When Special Private Shihō Kimizuki attacks him, he knocks one of Kimizuki’s twin blades out of his hands. When Lucal moves to kill him, Rika Inoue, Yayoi Endō, and Taro Kagiyama stab him from behind. Shūsaku Iwasaki activates his Cursed Gear Akahebi and binds Lucal’s left arm with a chain.

Since Lucal cannot remove the chain, he cuts off his own arm in order to avoid the their next attack.

He realizes these are the humans Krul Tepes warned him about. Kimizuki taunts Lucal with his lost arm, asking what happens if he vaporizes it. He says he knows vampires can reattach limbs after they get cut off, but wonders if he vaporizes it with a curse could they regrow it like a lizard does its tail. He warns him to not anger him, and Kimizuki tells Lucal to beg for it if he wants it back. Lucal snaps.

Lucal charges at Kimizuki, swatting away Mitsuba and Shinoa’s manifested attacks and dodging Shinya and Yoichi’s shots. They lure him close to Yu, who slices him in half.

With only a head, arm, and torso still attached, he cannot do much, and Narumi destroys his head, vaporizing Lucal Wesker for good.

As a vampire, Lucal was naturally far more stronger and powerful than a human. Being a fifteenth progenitor, he was stronger than those who are of lower rank. This meant that he also had immortality, immense strength, eternal youth and rapid regeneration from non curse wounds if injured. He can also gain strength by drinking human blood.

As a noble vampire, he had the ability and permission to turn humans into vampires as he pleased.

He could lengthen his claws at will.

A first-class vampire sword with a nearly cone-shaped guard with white and black vertical stripes. When he commanded it to drink his blood, it pierced his knuckles and fingers with needles.

Owari no Seraph: character МИКАЭЛА ХАКУЯ

Owari no Seraph: character МИКАЭЛА ХАКУЯ. В этой статье я поведаю вам об одном из главных героев аниме, а точнее про вампира Микаэлу. Я расскажу вам о его прошлом, характере и немного еще интересного.

Микаэла с раннего детства был брошен родители и рос в приюте Хакуя, где проводили эксперименты по проекту «Серафим конца времен». Именно там он познакомился с главным протагонистом Юичиро, с которым впоследствии стал одной семьей.

Но после нападения вампиров на город он и другие дети приюта были отправлены в Сангивинем, то есть в подземный город вампиров. Там они жили в качества скота, который вынужден регулярно жертвовать свою кровь для выживания. Но Микаэля даже при таких обстоятельствах старался быть позитивным, жизнерадостным и веселым мальчиком. Он всеми силами поддерживал других членов своей семьи, предлагая свою кровь вампиру Фериду в обмен на еду.

И когда Микаэля был уже на грани смерти, то рядом появилась Крул Цепеш. Именно она спасла его жизнь, обратив в вампира. После чего Хакуя стал постепенно меняться, а былая жизнерадостность исчезла без следа. К тому же он винил себя в смерти своих близких и многие годы подавлял жажду крови, чтобы не пить ее у людей.

Со временем все его чувства начали исчезать, кроме привязанности к Юи. Да и по сравнению с остальными вампирами он был хладнокровнее, равнодушнее и даже сильнее, так как ему давала кровь Третья Основательница Крул Цепеш. А когда он впервые выпил человеческой крови, то его рост прекратился, радужки глаз поменяли с голубого на красный цвет, а на лице чаще стала появляться улыбка.

До этого момента он ненавидел как вампиров из-за инцидента в прошлом, и терпеть не мог людей. Александр Пушкин — биография

Александр Пушкин – гений русской и мировой литературы. Его перу принадлежит множество произведений, которые сделали его знаменитым и любимым многими поколениями почитателей его таланта.

Можно с точностью сказать, что современный русский литературный язык начался с поэта Александра Пушкина. Именно он сумел объединить в своих произведениях все самое лучшее из национальной и мировой литературы того периода. Это он сблизил литературный язык и самобытную народную разговорную речь. Пушкин превозносил богатство, выразительность, гибкость русского языка, позволяющий каждому талантливому литератору творить настоящие шедевры. И в то же время в своих произведениях он старался выражаться максимально точно и ясно, без второстепенного. Именно благодаря таланту Пушкина, русский язык поднялся до уровня великого национального и мирового языка.

Детство и юность

Родился Александр Пушкин 6 июня(26 мая по старому стилю) 1799 года в Москве. Его отец Сергей Пушкин был поэтом-любителем, светским острословом. Мама Надежда Ганнибал, приходилась внучкой Абраму Ганнибалу. Дед по отцовской линии Лев Пушкин был полковником артиллерии, имел чин гвардии капитана.

Александр в полной мере вобрал в себя черты характера своих предков. Мамины гены наделили его горячим нравом, необузданной энергией и жаждой жизни. Гены отца проявились в поэтическом таланте, благодаря которому все переживания и страсти тут же становились стихами и поэмами, которые до сих пор не утратили своей актуальности и привлекательности.

Кроме Александра в семье выжили еще дочка Ольга 1797 года рождения и сын Лев 1805 года. Родители будущего гениального поэта славились своим образованием, несмотря на то, что в те времена представители светского общества общались на французском и знали латынь, изучали историю и литературу. Двери в их доме были всегда открыты, и среди гостей четы Пушкиных можно было встретить поэтов, художников, музыкантов.

Александр учился дома, и это образование было достаточно приличным. Однако на одном изучении словесности далеко не уедешь. Он с детства полюбил русскую историю, народные сказки, предания, легенды, и все это благодаря его бабушке по материнской линии Марии Ганнибал. Начиная с 1805 по 1810 годы, каждое лето маленький Саша гостил у нее в подмосковной деревне Захарове. Этот период оставил неизгладимое впечатление в памяти Пушкина и эти воспоминания потом нашли отражение в его первых пробах пера. Именно бабушка привела в дом Арину Родионовну, ставшую няней будущего великого поэта.

Нянины рассказы, сказки, незамысловатые истории, рассказанные певчим говором, так запали мальчику в душу, что он наслаждался звучанием родного языка, его красотой и поэтичностью. Благодаря такому сочетанию исконно русского и «французского» образования и воспитания, Пушкин сумел найти золотую середину, благодаря которой стал высокообразованным молодым человеком, почитавшим русские традиции. Хотя в то время вся дворянская Россия отдавала предпочтение именно французской манере воспитания, и первый стих Александра тоже был написан на этом языке.

С детства в Саше кипели гены его африканского предка, и поэтому впоследствии сформировался его горячий характер и неординарная внешность.

С раннего детства у мальчика были французские гувернеры с одной стороны и русская няня с другой. Но ему было мало того, что он узнавал от них, поэтому его часто можно было застать с книгой в руках. Он мог брать любые книги из отцовской библиотеки, которая состояла из множества изданий, и в любое время пользоваться библиотекой родного дяди – Василия Львовича.

Царскосельский лицей

Осенью 1811 года в компании дяди Василия Саша отправился в Петербург, чтобы оказаться в числе учеников только что открывшегося Царскосельского лицея. Опекалась этим учебным заведением царская семья, и открыли его в здании флигеля стоявшего вплотную с Екатерининским дворцом. В тот год на обучение набрали тридцать учеников, одним из которых был Пушкин.

В лицее использовалась абсолютно новая, можно сказать, революционная система обучения. Тридцать первых учеников-мальчиков были выходцами из дворян, для их обучения привлекли молодых, высокообразованных педагогов. Атмосфера в учебном заведении была очень свободной и дружеской, отсутствовали телесные наказания, что до этого никогда не практиковалось в школах.

Александр сумел быстро освоиться и подружиться с одноклассниками. Он учился с Кюхельбекером, Дельвигом, Пущиным, и эта дружба продолжалась много лет.

Для лицеистов этого первого набора приглашали самых известных профессоров, экзамены они сдавали членам Академии наук и педагогам пединститута. Спустя годы их выпуск признали самым успешным среди всех, кто в разные годы окончил этот лицей.

Кроме постижения разных школьных предметов, ученики занимались творческим развитием, они выпускали журналы, написанные от руки. В стенах этого лицея появились новеллисты и поэты, которые почти каждый вечер собирались чтобы поупражняться в сочинении стихов экспромтом. Трое из их выпуска вскоре примкнули к декабристам, Пущина и Кюхельбекера даже осудили. Пушкин не участвовал в восстании и в этом большая заслуга его друзей.

Уже в те годы проявился творческий потенциал юного лицеиста Пушкина. Его поэзии нравились друзьям, он получил высокую оценку от Жуковского, Батюшкова, Карамзина и Державина. Во время экзамена в 1815-м Пушкин прочел стих «Воспоминание в Царском Селе», которое услышал Державин, и выразил молодому коллеге свой восторг. Так начиналась творческая биография прославленного поэта.

Vilous

Vilous (ビロウス birousu) is the name of the fictional Sun, and also a name of the science-fantasy world setting and universe created by the two Japanese artists Mick Ono and Kiki CR.

In the Old Age canon, «Vilous» was the name of the main planet. However, in the New Age canon lore, «Vilous» is the name for the fixed star and main Solar System; the main planet where creatures live is now called «Planet Tal«.

Synopsis

It is populated by wondrous creatures and strange flora, with sentient species of different origin interacting with one another.

The primary organism groups in Vilous are divided into two broad groups: Eltus and Talyxians. The most well-known species from the Vilous universe, Sergals, belongs to the group of Eltus race. A general outlook upon the scene and biology of Vilous system shows Planet Tal is considerably different from Earth. Strange plants which do not have chlorophyll occupy most of the planet, demonstrating their unusual characteristics in more reddish and purples tones. There are animals on Tal that are peculiarly different as well from Earth’s animals; although they may share the same name, these are not at all similar to their original namesakes, save by some trait or attribute.

Story

A long time ago, people and creatures called Eltus were living on the planet. One day, an environmental catastrophe advanced to deadly proportions and the «mock living things», fabricated creatures called Talyxians, came to occupy the whole planet as a new ecosystem, in order to keep the planet alive. The oceans and many Eltus species creatures drastically decreased. The Eltus people’s bodies changed to resemble animals, and were divided from a single human form into three parts: Sergal, Agudner, and Nevrean.

Aeons later, the people of the Eltus and their respective races still retain a sense of recognizing themselves as human, although as a whole, they are unaware of their original human form, and of their original culture. Planet Tal has totally changed into an alien wilderness, covered by Talyxian Biomes. People try to save Eltus Biomes on a daily basis in order to revive their original environment while surviving in the harsh and strange Talyxian environment.

The birth of the irregular person known as Rain Silves is a turning point, and the whole of Tal comes to have a new history called, which is recorded as the Rain Calendar. Throughout a hundred years history within the Rain Calendar, the Eltus people undergo turbulent changes via the World War that is brought by General Rain. The main original stories are made in the omnibus form for showing the Vilous worldview and history side by side.

Sergals adorned in armor and equipment to adapt to an alien environment in Talyxian biomes, are exploring on a plain within Thekan region, just a front of a forest. On aside the hill, there is a red river called Blood River, a Talyxian water place. Here, can see many strange plants, they belong to plant type Talyxian organism, a common flora on Plane Tal.

In a rocky, grassy, plains-like Talyxian biome area located on a range next to the Eastern part of Astna from the Southern part of the Thekan region, two Northern Sergals in armor, hiding in the shadows of the rocks in order to see what’s happening on the other side after they were pursued by some kind of Talyxian wildlife. Here, strangely shaped tree roots that looked like tentacles hung down and purple grass grew on the rocks.

Two armored sergals taking a break in the shade of Talyxian biome woods or forest. Eltus race people usually need a protective device similar to a gas mask when traveling in the depth areas located within the Talyxian biome in order to avoid absorbing miasma.

A Talyxian-Stalker named «Honto» in the depth of the Talyxian biome forest. Talyxian species creatures can inhabit places where Eltus species creatures cannot survive without their protective devices.

Towards the later stages of the Rain Calendar, two male Nevrean merchants are carrying their wagon, on the street in the central area of Gold Ring, the greatest coastal and circular city in Southern Planet Tal.

Somewhere within the Northeast land on Planet Tal, towards the later stages of the Rain Calendar. There is a Sergal adorned in Shigu armor, standing atop the balcony of a building. This is a place nestled between plain and wetland within the Thekan area, located at the foot of the Northern Lyvank Mountains. There is a grassy plain area stretching outwards from the building, with orange grasslands which can be seen, a very common plain in the surrounding Reono region. These grassy plains still have the risk of obscuring the view to the feet, however, they are comparatively safe areas, as having a low mutability ratio and few threatening creatures. Generally, the grassy plains areas in Talyxian biomes are considered to be safer than forest areas.

The time period is not determined, however, the Sergal presented in the artwork is wearing a Reono styled outfit, they are visiting the border where the Astna and Thekan meet in order to scout in advance for suitable materials such as Talyxian ‘resin trees’, the blue translucent trees. Due to their light set of clothing, it can be easily assumed Eltus people’s village exists nearby.

Eltus people are visiting the laboratory eroded away by Talyxian biomes. An Agudner man is carrying an Eltus hydroponic plant that is encased inside of a capsule container, in order to protect it from eroding Talyxian organisms.

The scenery depicting the dry season somewhere within the Talyxian biome, towards the later stages of the Rain Calendar. This place is located somewhere within the middle of Eastern and Southern Lands on Planet Tal. As this place is not far from people’s habitation and harmful wildlife is rarely seen here, considerable safety is guaranteed. These alien Talyxian plants which look like veins cover the ground. They are known to have a jelly-like transparent, plumpy membrane on their surface during the rainy season, but they completely dry up like what this artwork represents in the dry season. Due to this, this place can show a fairly different scene between the rainy and dry seasons. The sergal sitting on a stem of these plants is a local guard who works on monitoring the alien biome throughout this region. They also have a Red Gardener license which is nationally qualified in Gold Ring. Their unique shaped hat which works as a parasol is also an item used among the GR police.

📖What the Artwork Tells📖

There are Kipiri and Bengir, children of Nubinara and Baal!

Kipiri, a girl with yellow fur, is like her mother in that she is bold and adventurous, and like her father in that she is very physical and loves being outside more than anything, preferring to explore the estate grounds, train with her father, exercise, etc.

Bengir, a boy with purple fur, on the other hand, is very timid and has great problems with anxiety, preferring to be home inside where it is safe and clean. However, while Kipiri is easily bored from tasks like homework / studying, Bengir excels in intellectual things, possessing a phenomenal memory and a prodigious skill in drawing things, these abilities are generally rare as a Sergal species due to various features of the racial nature.

And this page is featuring them, the moments including their younger times than the current ages displayed on the original reference provided by the commissioner!

🌟 Vilous Lore-Supportive TIPS 🌟

-Why is the paper so blue or purple

Because of the difference of material. As many wooden materials on Planet Tal do, the paper also relies on Talyxian woods as main resources. It brings more or less alien and exotic hues rather than pure white paper unlike what you can find here.

As general technologies on Planet Tal are, papermaking technology is also a bit primitive and simple when compared to those of Earth. Due to this, the quality of the paper is somewhat rough, has a scabrous and unsmooth texture.

-Green Plants are «RARE» and «PRECIOUS» in the Vilous Universe!

I know I’ve mentioned this point many times so far, however, still just as being some important tips for people who are new to the Vilous Universe.

Planet Tal is populated by wondrous creatures and strange, exotic, alien flora called Talyxians, they fulfill «normal» sceneries of the natural environment with strange plants which do not have chlorophyll, these are not commonly green, but rather exhibit hues in the purple, red, pink, orange, blue, or monochromatic scale.

However, plants that fall under the Eltus organism group make different sights from these Talyxian plants. Eltus plants have similar biology to common plants on Earth, featuring the presence of chlorophyll and display an appearance that is similar to that of common plants on Earth. Due to this, they are also known as and called «green plants» among Eltus folks. As they are a fairly rare sight, they are recognized as highly valuable, desirable, precious items among Eltus folks. For now, only two places are confirmed as the main habitation of Eltus plants: The protected Eltus plantations within the Gold Ring nation and the Eltus biomes sanctuary on summit areas of the Lyvank Mountains. Cultivated and potted Eltus plants can be seen in various places in cities in Gold Ring.

Again but as what should not be forgotten, special thanks to Coju for the achievement of this, I could never achieve this without his help in both concept sketching and lore-supportive tips!

Однако истинной целью Микаэлы была карта, ведущая к выходу из подземного города вампиров, которая помогла бы ему и другим детям сбежать. Так или иначе Ферид прекрасно знал о плане Микаэлы и ждал беженцев у выхода, убив после всех, кроме Ю и Мики. Микаэла, жертвуя собой, спас Юичиро, но получил смертельное ранение. mick Ono

Mick ono, also know as Mick39, formerly as trancy Mick, is a furry artist from the Hyōgo Prefecture in Japan.

She is primarily known as one of the creators of Sergals, but there are also numerous other fictional species such as Nevreans, Agudners, and Talyxians, in the same world Sergals lives in. They live in her stories set in the world of Vilous, a science-fantasy world created by Mick Ono and Kiki-UMA.

Sergal is most propagated creation of Mick since 2003, a fictional species with reptilian and mammalian features and human sapience.

Nevreans [ edit ]

Nevrean (ネウリア «Néuria«), is a race of feathered dinosaur-like people from the world of Vilous universe, and are belonging to the group of «Eltus race (Sergal, Nevrean, and Agudner)». They are living in planet Tal, a fictional planet existing in the Vilous universe. They are often treated as birds, but to be exact, they are closer to feathered dinosaurs such as raptors than birds.

They are known as having high technology, nimble fingers, comparatively slim and lightweight body, and more sentient race than other races. But there is also the nature of racial music lovers as superior musician males and avid audience females. Furthermore, their biggest features are strong sexual dimorphism. Often their gender role is explained «opposite to humans» as a brief introduction, however, this explanation is incorrect and not perfect interpretation, though there is a conspicuous feature that females are entirely stronger than males. However, their symmetrical natures are not just «opposite to humans». For example, male nevreans cultivate their own beauty, but basic features of males in personality and behavior are still different from «feminine» styles like what human females generally do. Because they have very symbolic and abstract concepts, peculiarly their gender concept was based on Yin-Yang; females as Yin and males as Yang.

Biology [ edit ]

Nevreans are predominantly biologically similar to avian. While Nevreans are technically omnivorous creatures that same Sergals, the average individual’s basic diet will typically consist of meat, nuts, berries, and pulses(such as soybeans). They possess recurring differences between both genders as shown below, but they obviously also have individual particularities that are proper to each specimen of the race. Everything will be written under in the form of a list so that no confusions happen.

Female Nevreans are close to dinosaurs such as Deinonychus considerably, have dull colors or natural colors feathers, tough and muscular body than males, big and stout horns on above their eyes, Sharp and visible fangs that protrude even mouth closed, sickle-shaped talon on legs such as raptors, the plumage on an arm which is little so as not to be able to glide or fly. There is the decorative feather on their tail tip, but it is not like males, theirs don’t own a particularly nice or eye-catching pattern. Their voice is lower than males, and they are awkward at singing and other voice jobs to their structure of the throat. There is the fact still remains to be known; female Nevrean’s jaws are stronger than Sergal’s.

Спустя четыре года после атаки вируса, двенадцатилетний Юичиро и его названный брат Микаэла планируют бежать вместе с остальными детьми из приюта Хякуя. Побег закончился неудачно: всех перебили, выбраться из-под земли смог только Юичиро. Впоследствии выясняется, что вируса больше нет, но земля осталась в руинах. В Японии властвует семья Хиираги, а также подконтрольная ей Японская имперская армия демонов. Главный герой решает стать воином и истребить вампиров.

One week after the vampire attack on Shinjuku, Yu is trying to learn how to turn Mika back into a human. He believes Ferid turned Mika into a vampire.

Yu is summoned to the Shinjuku Central Army Headquarters First Office, which is run by the Hīragi, whom everyone describes as scary. Yu encounters Guren, who reminds Yu that he owes him. Mitsuba is being considered for promotion.

Yu enters a chamber and kills a starving vampire prisoner lying in wait. His interview with Lieutenant General Kureto Hīragi begins.

One week after the vampire attack in the second capital of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, also known as Shinjuku, Yu is researching vampires in the Spellcraft Research Library. He complains about the difficulty he has reading Kanji characters and says that he learned nothing growing up in a vampire city. Shinoa appears, reminding him that he is supposed to remain in bed to rest.

Yu is still not aware that the experiments done on him were what put him into a coma rather than the battle itself.

Yu admits that he wants to learn how to turn Mika back into a human. Although Shinoa does not know how to turn a vampire back into a human, she shares the knowledge she has. Vampires hate increasing their numbers, so they only turn a human into a vampire very rarely. Only nobles have permission to do this. The strength of a vampire is mostly determined by age, but the power of the vampire’s direct master also has a great influence. Since Mika is so strong, they believe that he was chosen by a very high-ranking vampire noble, and Yu suspects it was Ferid Bathory, the same vampire who killed their family. Although Yu is thrilled that Mika is alive, he nonetheless loathes blood-suckers.

Shinoa comments on Yu’s recent change in personality and mentions that he is more mature than before. She asks if this is because he has a different reason to live now.

Yu is summoned to the Shinjuku Central Army Headquarters First Office, which is only available for use by the highest-ranking officers. Shinoa suspects the Hīragi Family, the leaders of the army, are the ones calling him. Four of the ruling families under the Hīragi that are shown are Jūjō, Goshi, Sangū, and Ichinose. Yu calls Shinoa out on her surname, and she warns him that her family is frightening.

As Yu heads to the First Office, he encounters Guren. He asks Yu if he is wagging his tail for the main family like a good mutt. Guren reminds Yu that he saved him, taught Yu how to live here, and taught him how to use a sword. He tells Yu to pay him back if Yu feels he needs to, then goes on to say that Yu is living because of him, that he his, belongs to his faction, and to not wag his tail under Hīragi.

Yu tells him that he does not care about his stupid politics, and will never abandon or betray his friends ever again, so Guren should quit worrying. Guren says that he is not Yu’s friend but rather his superior, savior, surrogate dad, and practically a god to him. Guren says Yu can call him «papa,» but Yu declines.

Mitsuba exits the First Office. Despite not doing anything on the battlefield, she is being considered for promotion because she is a Sangū. She is upset, but Yu calms her down. He says she should keep getting promoted so he can get Mika back. He believes the vampires are holding Mika hostage. Mitsuba warns him that she has been ordered to keep watch on a teammate with suspected vampire ties because he is a danger and liability. Yu tells her he trusts her, and she warns him that the Hīragi are scary people.

Yu asks why everyone keeps saying that and enters the office.

A starving, imprisoned vampire with broken chains jumps at Yu, and Yu kills him without hesitation. Lieutenant General Kureto Hīragi says it was a test to weed out traitors. He claims this makes at least one verifiable occasion with reliable witnesses where Yu killed an unarmed vampire without hesitation, but he says it is only one occasion.

Юи соглашается и хочет хотя бы проведать Шиноа и остальных. После этого он и Мика сбегут. Если друзья Юи в безопасности, они могут спланировать, как спасти Гурена. Мика немедленно отклоняет предложение, но вскоре уступает, когда Юи просит. Он говорит, что может что-то сделать, если Гурен все еще жив. В восторге, Юи постоянно спрашивает Мику «как», пока он не раздражает Мику настолько, что Мика приказывает ему заткнуться. Мика говорит, что Юи не изменился с детства. Мика говорит, что королева вампиров держала его как свое домашнее животное и они могут попросить ее о помощи. Когда Юи спрашивает, можно ли ей доверять, Мика отвечает, что не знает, но, по крайней мере, она послушает их. Юи спрашивает Мику, кто она для него, и Мика отвечает, что это она спасла ему жизнь. Вернувшись в аэропорт Нагоя, подъезжает фургон, и из него выходит Аой Сангу. Хотя она замечает Мицубу, свою сестру, она быстро отворачивается от нее. Затем выходит Курето Хираги.
