В самом начале нас встречает традиционное меню, которое не особо меняется с игры WRC 8:

Меню делится на одиночную игру и многопользовательскую (тот самый онлайн).
В одиночном режиме основную роль играет режим карьеры. О нем поговорю позже.

В режиме быстрой гонки появилось одно отличие от предыдущих игр: режим «50 лет ралли». Уже по названию понятно, чему он посвящен. Тут представлено несколько наиболее известных этапов из различных годов. И нам позволяют, так сказать, прикоснуться к легенде:
Наверно, поэтому компания Kylotonn наконец расщедрилась на легендарные автомобили прошлого. Они были в предыдущих частях, но в сильно урезанном ассортименте. Теперь хоть есть небольшой выбор.

Кроме бонусных автомобилей, появился и раздел, где можно создать свою собственную раскраску автомобиля. Именно раскраски, ничего другого, глядя на это убожество, в голову не приходит. То, что отменно смотрелось в серии NFS, смотрится тут просто глупо.
То, что имеется в наличие в данном меню, лично меня категорически не устраивает. Создать красивую раллийную машину тут ничуть не проще, чем красивый женский персонаж в Dragon Age Inquisition.
Ладно, переходим в основной режим карьеры:
Выбираем предпочитаемый класс машин. В начале нам можно выбирать из класса Junior WRC (монокласс) и WRC 3. В последнем случае нужно подтвердить свою квалификацию, проехав СУ за минимально отведенное время (дают три попытки).
Потом выбираем тип команды (частная или заводская):
Ну и наконец, выбираем конкретную команду, исходя из нашего предпочтения:
Это настолько нудное и унылое времяпрепровождение, что даже рассказывать про этот режим не хочется. Я по самое горло «наелся» этого режима в предыдущих играх WRC 8 и WRC 9. Ну, не занимается гонщик этим! Не занимается! Хватит перетаскивать убогий менеджмент из других игр!
Поэтому, кто не хочет заниматься этой нуднятиной, предлагаю просто начать свой собственный чемпионат мира. Тут режима карьеры нет. Просто настраиваем режим чемпионата, его сложность, продолжительность, выбираем трассы и приступаем непосредственно к ралли.
Небольшие изменения произошли в режиме быстрой гонки. Ранее вы просто гонялись со временами виртуальных гонщиков, т.е. ботов. Теперь их нет. Как бы медленно вы не ехали, без подключения к интернету, все равно приедете первым. Других машин просто нет. Можно только посоревноваться со своим лучшим временем (режим призрака).
Например, на трассах со смешанным покрытием (допустим, снег + мокрый асфальт), вам придется изрядно попотеть. Ведь перед СУ вы выбираете только один тип шин, под конкретный тип покрытия. А вот на другом. это не автомобиль, а корыто на жирном полу. В принципе, все именно так и есть. Просто уже в самом начале стоит рассмотреть ваши приоритеты по выбору резины. Но, не хотите заморачиваться, можно выбор резины и настройки автомобиля возложить на ИИ игры.
Перейдем к графике и оптимизации игры.
Процессор i7-8700t (рабочие частоты 3800-3900 МГц)
Оперативная память: 16 Гб, таковая частота 2666 МГц (16-18-18-35 cr2)
Материнская плата: AsRock B360 Fatality Gaming K4
Видеокарта: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW
Компания особенно указывала, что игра теперь поддерживает dx12, что ничего не принесло в плане оптимизации. Игра, как долбилась в один поток, так и продолжает это делать. Разброс нагрузки по ядрам временами далек от идеала.
Каких-то заметных графических изменений не увидел, трудно сказать, где графика стала лучше в сравнении с предыдущими частями. Графика неплохая, особенно хорошо выглядит освещение в игре.
Даже анимация подиума не отличается от прошлогодней игры:
Тестирование своей системы проведу на высоких настройках. Т.к. на самых высоких видеокарта уже не способна выдавать стабильные 60 кадров.
Разрешение экрана 1080р, вертикальная синхронизация отключена.
В качестве тестовой трассы я выбрал тестовый спецучасток ралли Финляндия. Будет проведено два заезда: в сухую погоду вечером и в дождь в полдень:
На высоких настройках видеокарта GTX 1070 позволяет играть довольно комфортно. Загрузка же очень сильно зависит от освещения и погоды.
Но играть с отключенной синхронизацией очень и очень не комфортно. Переезд игры на dx12 не исправил эту «особенность» серии. Поэтому включение вертикальной синхронизации очень желательно, лучше через панель управление НВидии.
Мои субъективные оценки по игре:
Физика: «5-» (оптимальный вариант, сваливаться в откровенный реализм не стоит).
Настройки езды: «5» (кастомизация этих настроек очень обширна, на все вкусы).
Режим карьеры: «3» (да уберите этот чертов менеджмент. ).
Кастомизация внешности автомобиля: «3» (не понравилось, этот режим хорош в NFS).
Графика: «4» (хорошо, но разработчики обещали большего. ).
Оптимизация: «4-» (опять наступаем на одни и те же грабли).

We are pleased to announce that the January Update of WRC 10 is now available to download on your Steam client! This final major update of the game (as we shared in our Roadmap) is bringing the delayed Teams Online, a mode in which you can compete against other Teams on special challenges each week, the Online Multiplayer Championship (also known as the esports WRC Championship, and additional fixes to the game. For more details about the content this update, please go down a bit further in this article.
In the Teams Online mode, you will take part in weekly events against other teams. With good performances and consistency, your team can win events and climb a global leaderboard.
Only a certain number of players (defined in the event), will have their points count toward the team’s score. The best scores will count toward the total. if you’re familiar with how the esports WRC Championship works (and how we count points for the Teams) this is extremely similar to what we’ve done in the past.
We’re also excited to announce that the esports WRC Championship 2022 is back and will start next Friday, January 14 with Rally Monte-Carlo. We’re pleased to announce that the November Update is now available to download on your Steam client, you can find its Patch Notes below this announcement for more details about what’s new in WRC 10.
First of all, the 2021 Acropolis Rally is now available! With winding and dusty mountain roads, sometimes on cliff sides, the Greek Rally is known to be particularly challenging for drivers. Already present in the game since the launch through a historical event, the update brings 3 special stages in 2021 version to the experience and also joins the game’s Career mode.
As an anniversary edition of the Championship, we already offer a large number of historical and key events of the Championship since 1973. After the 3 Historical Events added in October, 5 new events are now available in WRC 10 including the Richard Burns & Robert Reid‘s victory in their Subaru Impreza WRC during the 2000 Safari Rally Kenya!
Finally, we also improve the Clubs by adding a new difficulty mode; Realistic. This mode allows you to carry over the damage inflicted on the vehicle to the next stage, to place one or more service parks (and to impose a mandatory passage to a service park in order to equip the car with appropriate tires when the road surface changes between two stages), the stages are played in one shot and cannot be replayed.

This free update adds the highly anticipated Renties Ypres Rally Belgium, added to the calendar in early 2021, you will have the opportunity to experience these new asphalt country roads.
Narrow and winding, they are lined with ditches and posts and punctuated by numerous junctions. The road sides often bring dust and mud to the tarmac and make conditions slippery with drivers not hesitating to cut corners. In WRC 10, this rally consists of 6 stages plus a shakedown.
Three new historic events make their appearance, featuring famous driver and co-driver duos in their original cars: the 1980 Rally Portugal with Walter Röhrl and Christian Geistdörfer in their Fiat 131 Abarth, the 1981 Rally Finland with Ari Vatanen and David Richards in their Ford Escort MkII 1800 and finally, the 2017 Rally Portugal with Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia in their Ford Fiesta WRC.
And last, the Co-Driver Mode is improved with the arrival of a complete lexicon that makes the experience more accessible to you and promotes even more immersion!

Regarding the update that we just mentioned, we’re thrilled to also announce that the October Update for WRC 10 will be available this Thursday, October 21 for free! As a reminder, this update will add 8 stages of Rally Ypres, 3 new Anniversary Events, 3 new Rally Cars (related to the 3 Anniversary Events), over 100 new stickers for the Livery Editor and an update to the Co-Driver mode!
