В 2015 году для второй Half-Life вышел мод Half-Life 2: Update, который подкручивал визуальную составляющую игры. В нём улучшили графику, освещение, эффекты частиц и тумана, а также исправили баги. Что немаловажно, умельцы выпустили своё творение в партнёрстве с Valve. Мод бесплатный: его могут загрузить все, у кого есть оригинальная HL2.

Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection — расширенная версия того самого Update от тех же авторов. Помимо самой игры, обновления затронут и два дополнительных эпизода. Насколько сильные изменения ждут вторую «халфу» — неясно. Пока у апдейта нет ни даты релиза, ни своей страницы в магазине.

Если верить инсайдеру Тайлеру Маквикеру (Tyler McVicker), мододелы, как и в прошлый раз, трудятся над проектом с позволения Valve. Блогер обещает рассказать больше подробностей о Remastered Collection в будущем.

This addon add custom front killmove which replaces default one. If you want to create your own killmove please visit:

Slow down time at a press of a button.

Specifically, you’ll need to go into console (

key) and type «bind X bullet_time», where X is whatever button you want. Or you can just look in the Options menu.

This is a small map I made to experiment with hammer work flow and other mapping techniques. It’s not super impressive, but considering it’s been on my PC for the last few months, I’ve decided to release it.

Nothing is packed considering the map is 99%.

Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection is a “Valve sanctioned” tune-up of their classic shooter

A fan-made Half-Life 2 remaster could be heading to Steam. The «Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection» was spotted by data mining site SteamDB last year, but at the time, it was flagged as “not Valve related”. However, according to another, more recent leak from Tyler McVicker, the mod and a half has now been sanctioned by Valve, and will be coming to Steam “soon”. But what is it?

The «Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection» is a continuation of an older mod. Back in 2015, Filip Victor released Half-Life 2: Update for free on Steam. It’s a subtle upgrade of HL2, with a “complete lighting overhaul including enhanced lighting, more detailed world shadows, and full high dynamic range lighting (HDR).” A few bugs have been fixed in the interim, and an extensive commentary track using well-known YouTubers was included as well. It didn’t change how the game played, just how it looked.

According to @SteamDB, the team that brought us Half-Life 2: Update is working on a further update and remaster of HL2 & the Episodes, with Valve’s consent.

It was known that Filip was working on a similar mod for game’s episodic content, and he commented earlier this year that “The new version will put hl2update/episodes to shame. But sry no release date tho.” So this new mod is essentially a remaster of a remaster.

It’ll probably be a largely visual overhaul of Half-Life 2 and its episodes, but not a Black Mesa head-to-tentacle do-over. It should have elements from Valve’s newer engine work, including their slicker Panorama UI that was added to CS:GO in 2018.

You could have a look at Filip’s work so far by grabbing Half-Life 2: Update from Steam, but that work is now six years old. It still looks good, but a little bit of patience will hopefully get you a whole lot more.

Речь о глобальной пользовательской модификации от Филиппа Виктора, который в 2015-м выпускал текстурные версии в высоком разрешении. Теперь переработка окажется более глобальной и комплексной. Первая ранняя работа автора носила название HL2 Update, её даже выпускали в сервисе Steam. Тем самым подчёркивалось, что Гейб и компания не против подобных разработок.

Информация подтверждается в рамках базы данных SteamDB. Инсайдерские источники на Reddit пишут, что активно переписываются с разработчиком. Весь цикл продакшена займёт до нескольких лет, охватывая оригинальную вторую часть и два её эпизода. Предполагается, что соглашение с Valve в этом плане достигнуто, нарушения авторских прав не будет.

Дата выхода Half-Life 2 Remastered Collection – что это и в чём смысл?

Игрой занимаются фанаты, но они получили официальное разрешение от Valve.

Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection – ремастер от людей, которым показалось слишком скучным переносить игру на Source 2. Поэтому они решили перенести оригинал и два эпизода с Source на Source, но актуальной версии для CS:GO.

Разработкой руководит Filip Victor, известный в узких кругах за Half-Life 2: Update. Проект разрабатывается, конечно, не ради обновления самой игры, хотя парочкой новых текстур разработчики затянут самые страшные игровые модели. В сети появилась свежая утечка, которая утверждает, что группа фанатов создаёт полноценный ремастер Half-Life 2, а также двух последующих эпизодов, причём делает это с разрешения Valve. Об этом в Twitter сообщил Тайлер МакВикер (Tyler McVicker).

По его словам, разработкой занимается та же группа, которая в 2015 году выпустила Half-Life 2: Update, об этом графическом моде МакВикер упоминает в твите. Модификация перерабатывала освещение и исправляла ошибки оригинальной игры. Вполне возможно, что будущий ремастер добавит и другие возможности.

Судя по всему, в этой версии дополнительно подкрутят графику и добавят новые возможности. Однако геймплей, скорее всего, трогать не станут.

Half-Life 2 Remastered Collection is fan-made but reportedly has Valve’s «consent»

Valve has reportedly sanctioned the release of Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection, a passion-project mod that «completely overhauls» the seminal shooter.

It’s apparently the next iteration of the fantastic mod Half-Life 2: Update, a «completely free and extensive community-developed update for Half-Life 2 featuring beautiful lighting, countless bug fixes, and a brand new Community Commentary Mode». It’s available to anyone who owns Half-Life 2 on PC and offers «countless» bug fixes in «one free standalone download».

Highlights of the mod include «complete lighting overhaul including enhanced lighting, more detailed world shadows, and full High Dynamic Range Lighting (HDR), and new particle effects and improved fog, and an extensive Community Commentary Mode featuring the voices of well-known Youtubers». It also promises that it «retains the iconic Half-Life 2 visual style and gameplay», too.

I have been able to confirm this projects legitimacy, being made by the former Half-Life 2: Update team.

Right now there’s no firm release date for Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection, and while SteamDB links to both a hub and a store page, both now currently redirect to Steam’s generic pages, so make of that what you will.

Однако рассчитывать на скорый выход ремастера все же не стоит. Как обычно бывает с подобными фанатскими трудами, они занимают много лет и регулярно сталкиваются с задержками. Учитывая, что за последнее время мы уже получили крутые фанатские ремейки оригинальной Half-Life, настало время и для сиквела. Тем более, что среди современных геймеров достаточно тех, кто никогда не играл в Half-Life 2, а подтянутая до современных стандартов версия может привлечь их внимание.

I upscaled buildings, refinery and skybox coast mutain model. Now they have bigger resolution and they are more detaild and sharper. It’s not perfect, but AI did it’s job well.

Геймеры в целом очень дотошные люди, способные порой докопаться до чего угодно. Иногда кажется, что именитые детективы из книг никогда бы не додумались до того, что приходит в голову рядовым игрокам в процессе поиска доказательств о существовании продолжений к любимым играм.

Вот и на этот раз всё произошло именно по такому сценарию. Пытливые умы взяли да обнаружили в недрах платформы Steam упоминания Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection. И, естественно, это немного взбудоражило общественность настолько, что по сообществу игроков покатилась небольшая волна.

Правда всё быстро сразу прояснилось и оказалось, что сама Valve имеет к этому сборнику достаточно косвенное отношение. Авторы именитой игры решили отдать её на обновление фанатам. Впрочем, похожим образом они поступали и раньше, благодаря чему мы получили шедевральную Black Mesa.

В итоге выяснилось, что над Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection работают создатели модификации Update, которые уже имеют огромный опыт работы с игровым движком. Однако, никакой информации о дате выхода или масштабе изменений не последовало. Так что остаётся лишь ждать новостей.

To answer your question, Half-Life: Alyx would be the most recent game Valve has made. Before that, DOTA Underlords (2019), Artifact (2018) and DOTA 2 (2013). Further back, CS:GO (2012) and Portal 2 (2011).

On that note, time flies. hard to believe it’s been almost a decade since Portal 2 launched.

На SteamDB появился профиль Half-Life 2: Remastered

Судя по данным в SteamDB, профиль был создан три месяца назад, а последние изменения в него внесли сегодня.

Примерно год назад глава студии Saber Interactive поделился историей, как он просил Valve дать разрешение на разработку ремейка второго Half-Life, но ему было отказано.

Скорее всего там сторонняя модификация. Автор мода Half-Life 2: Update в начале года на Steam форуме заявлял что новая версия его творения выйдет через несколько месяцев. Из обещанного HL2 и эпизоды объединенные в одну игру, поддержка Steam Workshop, динамические тени, Light Rays и тд.

Upd: Да, все-таки это модификация от создателя Half-Life 2: Update. Имя автора модификации есть в истории обновлений страницы, плюс он сам подтвердил что создавал ее еще в 2017 году.

Размер игры значительно превышает размер оригинальной Half-Life 2: 17,27 ГБ против 6,33 ГБ. У проекта есть свой логотип и значок для запуска.

A comprehensive fan-made update for Half-Life 2, which makes sweeping changes to the 11-year-old game’s visuals, has gone live on Steam.

The 7 GB update adds in subtle visual effects that essentially restore the look of Valve’s seminal first-person shooter. Known simply as Half-Life 2: Update, the remaster is the product of three years’ development from a team of modders, with the project sanctioned and supported by Valve.

According to promotional materials, Half-Life 2: Update delivers «improvements to lighting, special effects, increased world detail, countless bug fixes, and an original Community Commentary mode.» A new trailer can be found below, while a comparison video is embedded above.

Project lead Filip Victor said the remaster brings Half-Life 2 to the same standards as its episodic sequels, Half-Life 2: Episode 1, and Half-Life 2: Episode 2, «and just a little bit beyond.»

He said: “While developing the update, I needed to make sure that no matter what I did, I was improving Half-Life 2’s world without changing its iconic style, tone, or gameplay.»

“My goal is to create something that will draw new players to the Half-Life series, but not alienate long-time fans. Half-Life 2: Update shouldn’t be seen as a mod, but as a true update to what is already there.»

Along with major improvements to the visuals, Half-Life 2 adds an optional Community Commentary mode, which contains more than 100 in-game audio nodes that, when activated in-game, discuss the original Half-Life 2’s development. These are voiced by some well-known YouTubers such as Caddicarus, Brutalmoose, Rice Pirate, ProJared, and Balrog the Master.

Fan-Made Half-Life 2 Remastered Collection Is On The Way With Valve’s Consent

Half-Life is an iconic franchise by Valve that changed the face of gaming for the better when it was first released. Because of that, this series has seen many fan iterations and continuations in the past, but it looks like a Half-Life 2 Remastered Collection is in the works. Before you get too excited, this is a fan-made project and not an official remaster, but Valve is reportedly totally cool with it.

The remastered collection was spotted by PCGN over on SteamDB and shows a collection in the works from modder Filip Victor. While the collection itself says «not Valve-related,» it is reported that the company has given consent for the fan project to push forward with development. The report that Valve has given the green light for this project comes by way of Tyler McVicker, a person known for reporting on Valve news.

I have been able to confirm this projects legitimacy, being made by the former Half-Life 2: Update team.

Filip Victor, the person behind this creative endeavor, is no stranger to furthering the Half-Life legacy. From his past work as part of the Half-Life 2 Update team, which provided substantial improvements to the second game, it’s clear that the passion is there to keep this sci-fi world alive. With previous work with the IP, it will be interesting to see the extent of Half-Life improvements seen with the Remastered Collection.

Энтузиаст фактически сделал ремастер Half-Life 2, улучшив текстуры игры в четыре раза

На фоне волны популярности ремейков и ремастеров, энтузиаст под ником deeppurple1968 решил осовременить Half-Life 2. Он выпустил несколько модификаций, которые улучшают текстуры в первых двух эпизодах шутера.

Теперь в приключения Гордона Фримена можно окунуться с головой, не опасаясь «мыльных» текстур из 2004 года. deeppurple1968 улучшил абсолютно все оригинальные текстуры Half-Life 2, повысив их разрешение в четыре раза. Для повышения качества ассетов он использовал технологию нейросети Topaz A.I. Gigapixel, которая позволяет существенно поднять качество изображения, без артефактов.

Общий размер улучшенных текстур для Half-Life 2 составляет 5 ГБ. Графический мод доступен, как для первого, так и для второго эпизода.

Так обычно ремастеры делают с такой целью, разве нет? Подтянуть текстуры, увеличить ФПС, разрешение 4К?

Нормальный ремастер делают полностью на новом движке.

Никогда не понимал дроч на текстуры. Картинка становится внешне хуже, чем со старыми текстурами, т.к. новые слишком резкие и качественные относительно остальной графической составляющей игры.

Например Resident Evil 4 HD Project выглядит очень здорово, куда лучше официальной HD-версии от Capcom. Всё зависит от прямоты рук, а также «сдержанности» разработчиков. Иначе получится как с San Andreas, на которую навешали всякого шейдерного дерьма и 4K текстуры, а нутро движка Renderware вместе с деревянной геометрией и анимацией из 2004 так и остались

Я так пытался с ремастером Алан Вэйка, но игру ещё в те времена таааак затер до дыр много разовыми прохождениями, что и ремастер не помог.

Может мы договоримся чтобы не ретекстуры ремастерами? Желтушно звучит, да и сделать апскейл всем текстурам это такой себе ремастер.

Пользуюсь прогой Gigapixel для увеличения обоев и периодического изготовления ретекстуров/апскейл модов для игр в которые играю, так вот такие проги с ии оставляют небольшие артефакты на текстурах помятости что ли, посмотрел скрины и ага вот они родные =)

В базе данных SteamDB была обнаружена Half-Life 2: Remastered. Название было добавлено в магазин Valve два месяца назад, но СМИ обратили на него внимание лишь после вчерашнего апдейта.

У игры уже имеется значок для запуска и собственный логотип. Размер Half-Life 2: Remastered при этом более чем в два раза превышает размер оригинальной игры — 17.27 ГБ против 6.33 ГБ. Вероятно, речь идет о пользовательской модификации.

Valve никак не запрещает игрокам выпускать на своей платформе моды, используя в названии Half-Life. Например, ранее в Steam вышел сборник багфиксов под названием Half-Life 2: Update.

Half-Life 2 Remastered Collection Leaked On Steam

The remaster is a fan project backed by Valve’s blessing

A group of modders is working on a remastered collection of the Half-Life 2 trilogy in a “Half-Life 2 Remastered Collection,” as evidenced through a page on SteamDB listing the title. The entry was discovered only a few hours ago through SteamDB data mining and posted on Twitter by industry insider Tyler McVicker who also linked the SteamDB page for this project. Apparently, it’s being worked on by the same team behind the spectacular “Half-Life 2 Update” that added an assortment of improvements to the original Half-Life 2, to the extent where Valve itself gave their blessing by making Half-Life 2 Update an official release for the title.

Valve is known to be relatively lax when it comes to fan projects, for better or for worse, going as far as supporting and even marketing these projects on Steam, so it should come as no surprise that this project too is being worked on with Valve’s consent.

Half-Life 2 Episode 2

While both Half-Life 1 and Half-Life 2 have received updates and improvements in various forms over the years, Half-Life 1 even getting a full-on fan remake from the ground up with the incredible Black Mesa, Half-Life 2 Episode 1, and Half-Life 2 Episode 2 haven’t had the luxury of that same treatment. However, This release is not just a remaster of those two episodic titles but is also a further update to the “Half-Life 2 Update”. While we don’t have an idea as to what this remaster is going to bring to the table in terms of improvements, it is honestly going to be very nice seeing a modern re-release of Half-Life 2 polishing out its admittedly very few rough aspects and hopefully painting a new sheen to its shiniest features.

The project is supposedly coming soon to Steam(obviously) with no further release date as of yet.

В базе данных SteamDB была обнаружена Half-Life 2: Remastered. Бытует пару мнений..

Целых 2 месяца назад игра была добавлена в базу, но новостники обратили внимание на это лишь по последнему update.

Игра обзовелась значком запуска и лого. Первое на что я сразу обратил внимание это конечно же размер игры. Он составляет 17гб и это больше чем в два раза против оригинальных 6гб

Точно не понятно является ли это оригинальным переизданием или всё же пользовательской модификацией.. Единственно, что есть по информации это вот этот кривой гуглперевод и скрин с Twitter:

Опять же догадки, что Half-Life 2: Remastered это пользовательский мод.. Но кто знает, как это может повернуться и как говориться «мечтать не вредно». Напомним, что Valve никак не запрещают игрокам выпускать на своей платформе моды, используя в названии Half-Life. Так, например, ранее в Steam вышел любительский мод под под названием Half-Life 2: Update, в котором поправили ошибки, которые были в оригинале и улучшили графику, за что ребятам отдальное спасибо.

Как мы видем, Администрация SteamDB в комментарии склоняется к тому, что это МОД, который никак не связан с Valve. А мы посмотрим по итогу.

Yep. This new remastered version won’t hold a candle to Black Mesa as far as visuals go, from what I’ve seen.

So anyone hoping this is this is indicator on Valve’s renewed interest in the franchise and possibility of Half-Life 3 in the future, it’s not.

Only to sell their VR headsets and make a quick buck in the process. If VR hadn’t garnered this much interest from people, Valve wouldn’t have bothered with a new title. I remember reading somewhere an article about Gabe saying that it will be years, perhaps another 10-15 years (like the wait from HL2 to Alyx) before game technology evolves enough again to warrant another Half-Life.

This is gold coming from who might possibly be the same people saying «VR is just a gimmick».

Основные особенности новых бета-обновлений включают максимальное увеличение поля зрения с 90 до 110, поддержку сверхшироких разрешений и улучшения интерфейса с масштабированием разрешения. A YouTuber Tyler McVicker has collected some information about the upcoming Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection mod by Filip Victor.

Half-Life 2 is undoubtedly a legendary game. Whether you love Valve or not, whether you enjoy first-person shooters or find them distasteful, there is a huge chance that you played Half-Life 2 at some point in your life. Apparently, some fans love this game so much that they are ready to create huge remasters for it and Valve is not planning to stop them.

A popular YouTuber Tyler McVicker has gathered some information about the upcoming remaster for this beloved game – Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection. According to Tyler, the project is being developed by Filip Victor, a Valve licensee, which means Filip can create games using Source code and Source engine. The upcoming Remaster will be using the version of the Source engine that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive uses. The Remaster will include the original Half-Life 2 and the episodes. Some textures of the game will be replaced or altered. And the most important part is that the game will be released on Steam and will be supported by Steam Workshop, meaning that gamers are free to add their own modifications to the Remaster.

I stated it needed to be vetted as I was just an excessive dyslexic Steam powered forum user / all round nut-case 😉

Rumours of Workshop support sounds amazing because that is a LONG overdue addition that Valve themselves should have added, with mod website and fan made mod managers like «steamTap» in my mind is a waste of «fans» time, such as yourself to implement that which valve could not be bothered to add.

Probably a bit out of scope, but Ray-Tracing.
i know you are full up, but I’ve been watching Ray Tracing, screenspace vs in-engine ray-trace and i’m getting tired of hearing/seeing ♥♥♥♥♥ Raytracing videos, seeing how «screenspace-ray tracing-shader» fails to take into account off-screen geometry, it’s all in-engine for me, and it would be another dream come true to have the first game to implement Global illumination (Half life 2) with bounced lighting at the map compile, ambient and directional lighting stored in lightmap as well as ♥♥♥♥♥ radiosity in the cube-maps. It would be glorious to have all of that «real-time».

I honestly thought it was all a gimmick until I started to play Quake2 RTX and Minecraft, and after growing up alongside from 4-bit graphics to ray traced It’s like a fantasy come true.
I was hoping valve might do something because of the Steamdeck but it looks like it was just UI stuff, and a few bug-fixes.
Major updates falls down to devoted fan projects (again)

Filip has a source engine license so in theory.

The real (REAL) issue is how do you GEL the RTX with the existing lighting.
You see with games without Global Illumination, ray tracing is a massive step up.
But when you see the Marty Mcfly Screen Space shader, it falls flat in «source» because, valve did a good job implementing an approximation of Global Illumination. The textures were already prepped for «bounced» light at the map-bake level (hopefully).
So the Screen-space can only «fix» maps where the lightmaps are super-low resolution otherwise you litterally can’t tell when the mcfly shaders are turned on or off in the source engine games, because they already ♥♥♥♥♥ bounced lighting.

The only «big» change would be the more «exact» shadowing of the props and characters at run-time, and directional ambient occlusion.
But again there are lots of little «hacks» where valve ♥♥♥♥♥ ambient by baking it into props textures when modelling. You’ll see ambient occlusion «shadows» in the corners of say the lockers even if those same lockers don’t project fuzzy shadows on the wall behind them in HL2, but they would in OrangeBox>Portal2>CS:GO if the props were classed as static props and are part of the lightmap bake, (but then you couldn’t move them with the gravity gun.) There are lots of instances in «update», where the static props adds lots of validity to the lighting of the scene.

Which the Counter-Strike version of the engine is several steps up from HL2 in that respect with Cascading Shadow Maps for «sun-light», and better lightmaps, and it probably runs better than a full Ray Traced solution.

but it’s still a dream and it would be super interesting to see comparison between actual ray trace, screen space, and native source Global Illumination, vanilla HL2 and CSGO:HL2

Valve has long been one of the biggest and most beloved developers of our time, creating some of the most popular games that have proven to be favorites even decades later. They’ve also been involved in a lot of community projects, and the latest one includes a Remastered collection of Half-Life 2 and its DLC episodes.

Created by some fan modders, the same team behind the Half-Life 2: Update mod in 2015, Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection recently popped up on SteamDB files. Valve has even reportedly given consent to the team behind it, much like the well received Half-Life 1 remake known as Black Mesa last year.

It’s currently unknown how far along the team is in development, nor what kind of improvements will be made or when the collection will be released. Judging by the work on HL2 Update though, we can expect some major improvements to the graphics like lighting, shadows, textures, bug fixes, and more.

Of course, with the release of Half-Life: Alyx brought the Source 2 engine development tools to modders, so maybe the HL2 Remastered Collection will be made with the updated engine. This is just speculation of course, and it’s also unknown whether this will be another free fan mod like Half Life 2 Update, or whether it will be a paid release/Early Access like Black Mesa.

Half-Life 2 Fan-Made Remaster Seemingly Coming to Steam With Valve’s Permission

A Half-Life 2 fan-made remaster, titled Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection, is seemingly coming to Steam with Valve’s permission.

Listings for the game were spotted on SteamDB as far back as last year, however, the page has been relatively dormant since. According to its Steam DB page, Half-Life 2 Remastered Collection is not being developed by Valve, but instead, by Filip Victor, a modder who developed the Half-Life: Update mod that launched on the Steam store in 2015.

Valve reporter Tyler McVicker added to the speculation surrounding the game in a tweet recently. Mcvicker said that he is «able to confirm» the legitimacy of the project and that it is «being made by the former Half-Life 2: Update team».

The original Half-Life 2: Update mod, released in 2015 on the Steam store, is a 7GB add-on that served up a number of visual enhancements to Half-Life 2 and its two further episodic expansions. The mod itself includes improved lighting effects and more detailed environmental textures. It also looked to rectify a number of bugs that affected the original PC release version.

While it appears that Remastered Collection will include the base game and Episodes 1 and 2, very few other details about the game have been revealed by Filip Victor. However, the modder did address fans in a recent Half-Life 2: Update thread where he said the newest version will put its predecessors «to shame».

Состоялся выход модификации Half-Life 2 Overcharged

Еще в январе 2022 года сообщалось о новом графическом моде для Half-Life 2, который должен был быть выпущен в феврале. И сегодня, немного с запозданием, модификация Half-Life 2 Overcharged вышла и доступна для скачивания.

Half-Life 2 Overcharged — это мод, целью которого является исправление, улучшение и совершенствование многочисленных функций и элементов геймплея классического шутера Valve.

Игроки также могут рассчитывать на измененную боевую логику ИИ, которая сделает врагов немного сильнее. Также были добавлены несколько новых Альянсов, с которыми игроки будут сражаться. Кроме того, есть функция Режим огня и более 300 геймплейных опций.

Также стоит отметить, что Overcharged добавляет динамическое глобальное освещение. Кроме того, он добавляет Bokeh Dof, фильтры цветокоррекции, FXAA, SSAO, Солнечные лучи, улучшенные проецируемые текстуры и улучшенную реализацию шейдера фонарика.

1. Перед установкой желательно отключить антивирус.
2. Смонтировать диск HL2_2017_PLATFORM_DISC.iso в Daemon Tools и установить
игру в любую директорию (путь к папке не должен содержать кириллицы, русских
букв и длинных имен папок. Выберите например: С:\GAMES\HL2 UMC-2017\
3. По желанию смонтировать остальные DVD с модами и установить их
в папку с игрой, указавши её расположение на компьютере.
4. Добавить папку с игрой в исключения вашего антивируса (желательно).
5. Перезагрузить компьютер.
6. Играть.

Если будут наблюдаться где-то лаги или баги, можно попробовать пофиксить их апдейтом Update-3_(For_Mods).exe
Лично я установил этот апдейт сразу, работает всё стабильно.

Для экономии места на жестком диске, сборник можно устанавливать по частям. Для этого:

1). Установите PLATFORM_DISC с играми.
2). После, установите например DVD1 с модами. Когда отыграете все моды на нем, можете
удалить его контент из сборника для того, чтобы выделить место на жестком диске под
следующий DVD. Зайдите в папку Unistall и запустите файл Unistall-DVD1.cmd.
В появившемся окне, подтвердите удаление нажавши «Y» и «Enter» по очереди.
Точно так же, можно проделать и с остальными DVD с модами.

УЧТИТЕ, что удаляя определенный контент-платформу с играми, движками и кешем, вы
удалите и моды которые находятся в его папках.
Чтобы удалить сборник полностью, запустите файл HL2 UMC-2017\Unistall\Unistall-ALL.cmd
и в появившемся окне, подтвердите удаление нажавши «Y» и «Enter» по очереди.

Meanwhile, Gordon Freeman, the man who was at the center of the events that took place shortly before the rise of the Combine, awakens from his stasis and is inserted into a train to City 17 by the mysterious G-man. Gordon is soon brought into a resistance group, and makes a seemingly futile attempt to bring down the Combine and liberate the Earth.

Gordon’s enemies, apart from alien wildlife which found its way to Earth, are mainly Combine forces, which utilize a variety of firearms, gadgets and vehicles. Policemen and foot soldiers work along with helicopters, gunships and gigantic walking machines to hunt him down. To defend himself, Gordon has a range of weapons available: from the iconic crowbar for close-quarter fighting, through pistols and rifles, up to grenades and a rocket launcher. One of the most notable weapons is the gravity gun, with which Gordon can pick up objects, hold them in the gun’s anti-gravity field, then hurl them at the enemy with great force.

Setpieces in the game include co-ordinated assaults on enemy bases, fighting gigantic boss enemies, bringing down aircrafts with the rocket launcher, and others. A few levels require the player to navigate buggy-type vehicles. Some of the more exotic stages involve the player summoning an army of antlions to unleash on unsuspecting foes.

There is no such thing as virus. Be extremely careful before you review things.

That file «uninstall_hl2.exe» is not a trojan. I checked it and realized it’s Okay. And it was tested on my old laptop.

Not sure if i can test this on Windows XP SP2 or Vista.

Important warning: This copy of the DVD has been tampered with.

The game files are dated 2017 instead of 2004 and thus have been edited at some point.

The DVD also has a Trojan (uninstall_hl2.exe) dated 2018. This program does not exist in the original DVD; MSI installers (which the DVD uses) are also uninstallers and thus the added executable is fake.

try using Steam emulator called «SSElauncher» it basically bypasses steam

I have the Valve Complete Pack on Steam and these games have evolved a lot with updates. It’s not a bad thing at all and I still play mainly the Steam version of Half-Life 2, but I wanted an Old Engine version (without all the problems brought by the BitRain sourcemod) to just have that 2004 feel, mind you I wasn’t even born then.

So I found this, which is probably the earliest known version of Hlaf-Life 2, to really give that extra 2004 feel. Played through the whole game in under 2 days with the stuttering, low-res textures, archaic facial animation, nodegraph issues and I didn’t even care. Loved every second of this and even got a functional version of Half-Life Source, which I didn’t think was possible. I have backed the ISO up just about anywhere I could find, because this is a valuable experience. Recommend this to everyone that wants to have the 2004 experience, even setting your resolution to 640×480 and refresh rate to 30Hz.
