Biography
Rey is the daughter of a non-identical clone of the Emperor Palpatine. The Emperor managed to revive himself in a cloned body, but the imperfect cloned body was not enough, and he needed a new vessel for his soul. His followers attempted to create several other clones, but none of them survived except Rey’s father, and Sidious considered him as his «son». However, Palpatine soon saw his son as a failure because he had no sensitivity to the Force. He intentionally let his son escape Exegol, so he would continue the Palpatine bloodline through natural means, creating a perfect vessel. As Sidious expected, his son married a woman and she gave birth to Rey. [1]
With no intention to continue the Emperor’s legacy, Rey’s father tried to hide with his wife and daughter from Palpatine. Nonetheless, Sidious was later able to track them down. So, when Rey was at the age of 5, her parents decided to sell her to Unkar Plutt on the desert planet Jakku as they attempted to hide the girl from her grandfather. After abandoning Rey on Jakku, the Emperor’s son and his wife were both killed by an assassin that Palpatine had sent to find them. Unaware of her parents’ death, Rey would live on Jakku for many years hoping for them to return. [1]
Growing up on Jakku, Rey became a scavenger to survive while she was still waiting for her family. She was confident that her parents would return to find her, but over the years she also started to fear that they never would. She always remembered a voice that called her «sweetheart» and promised to come back for her, although she never found out who the voice belonged to. She believed that the voice was of one her parents or both, so she clinged to it to reassure herself that they wouldn’t have forgotten about her. [2] [3] [1]
Her life changes when she encounters the Resistance droid BB-8 and the former stormtrooper Finn (FN-2187). Along her way to deliver BB-8 to the Resistance, she also meets and become friends with Han Solo and Chewbacca. Later, she learns about her Force sensitive powers and becomes a Jedi Knight fighting for the Resistance. She is trained in the Force by a reluctant Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and afterwards by his sister, Leia Organa.
When Rey finally discovers the truth about her origins, that she is actually the granddaughter of Sheev Palpatine and that she was abandoned on Jakku because her late parents were trying to hide her from the evil Emperor, she is terrified that she will succumb to the dark side and become like her grandfather. Confronting her fears, Rey battles and manages to defeat the Emperor with the help of Ben Solo. After her grandfather’s demise, she decides to reject her lineage and adopt the Skywalker surname to honor the ones she truly considers as family: her masters (Luke and Leia) and Han Solo that she considers as her parental figures, as well as Ben Solo that is half of her soul and the love of her life.
Romance with Ben Solo
Before The Force Awakens
Rey senses Ben’s rage as he descends into darkness.
Ben Solo and Rey are a dyad in the Force (also called Force dyad), two physically separated individuals that are one in the Force. This kind of bond is rare and one not seen in generations, it was prophesied in ancient times and realized through Ben and Rey. The dyad has the power of life itself, and the two halves are connected across space and time. Therefore, Ben and Rey were connected to each other even before they first met. The Force unites them through this bond to bring them together as fate acting on soulmates that have an intertwined destiny. [4] [5] [6] [7]
Since a very young age, Rey has strange feelings and daydreams, and Ben Solo/Kylo Ren is present in them. [2] In The Rise of Kylo Ren comic, Rey feels cold at the moment Ben is consumed by rage just before killing the leader of the Knights of Ren, «Ren». By killing «Ren», Ben is recognized as the new master of the knights. Thus, Rey is able to sense Ben falling further into darkness, committing the act that would grant him the title of Kylo Ren. [8]
Because of these visions and feelings, Rey recognizes Kylo Ren the first time she sees him on Takodana as the figure she always has seen in her daydreams and nightmares. [2] Ben apparently had the same feelings and visions about her. In The Force Awakens novelization, when Rey uses the Force to pull Anakin’s lightsaber from the snow, Kylo recognizes her stating «It is you.». [2]
The Force Awakens
Kylo kidnaps Rey, bridal carrying her to his ship.
«Forget the droid. We have what we need.«
— Kylo deciding to kidnap Rey on Takodana
When Rey, Han Solo and Finn are on Takodana, Rey is called by Anakin’s lightsaber. She touches the saber and has a Force vision of scenes from the past and future, where she sees Kylo Ren. Afterwards, the First Order arrives, and a battle starts on Takodana. While she is in the woods, Rey sees a shuttle landing nearby and Kylo Ren emerges from it walking into the battlefield. She recognizes him as the man of her daydreams and nightmares. [2]
They meet for the first time when Kylo finds her in the woods while he is searching for the droid that has the map to Luke Skywalker. As she is found by Kylo in the woods, Rey is terrified of him. She attacks him, attempting to shoot him with a blaster as soon as he appears. But Kylo uses the Force to freeze Rey and comes closer, looking her up and down. He senses that there is something different about her, he asks her who she is, and then touches her face as he searches into her mind. [2] Kylo realizes that she has seen the map to Luke and instead of continuing to look for the droid that has it, he decides to kidnap her. He uses the Force to put her to sleep and takes her in his arms, carrying her bridal style to his ship.
Kylo watches Rey waking up in the interrogation room.
When she wakes up, Kylo is kneeling down and watching her in the interrogation room. Rey asks him where they are and is surprised by the unexpected gentleness in his voice when he replies. [2] He greets her saying that she is «his guest» and she expresses her discomfort of being chased by a “creature in a mask”. In response to this, Kylo Ren takes off his helmet, allowing her to see his face and she stares at him surprised to see a normal looking young guy. Rey describes his face as not remarkable but sensitive. She has the impression that Kylo would have even passed as someone she might have met on the streets of the Niima Outpost on Jakku, but with something simmering behind his gaze. [2]
Kylo asks her if it is true that she is just a scavenger, but as he senses her embarrassment, he changes the subject and asks about the map. [2] Kylo Ren’s behavior during Rey’s interrogation is very different from the one he had with the best pilot of the Resistance, Poe Dameron, that was captured before Rey to be interrogated for the map. During Poe’s interrogation, Kylo painfully tortures him to extract the information, showing no mercy. On the other hand, when Rey refuses to tell him anything, he decides to probe her mind, but states that he would prefer to avoid doing it because it would give no pleasure to him. He says that he’ll go as easily as possible, but he will get the map from her. [2] And he tells her not to be afraid because he feels it too.
Rey’s mind intrigues Kylo during the interrogation.
«You are so lonely, so afraid to leave. «
— Kylo uncovering Rey’s feelings during the interrogation
As he touches Rey’s face, he hesitates when he feels something unexpected. [2] Kylo Ren dives into her mind, noticing for the first time how lonely she feels. He also senses how she sees Han Solo (his father) as a parental figure, and he tells Rey that Han would have disappointed her as a father. Kylo then finds something that piques his interest in her mind. He decides to investigate it instead of searching for the map, but he suddenly stops as he encounters a barrier. [2] Simultaneously, Rey is surprised as she feels herself being draw to him, and finds herself inside his mind. Rey manages to turn his mind probe against him, sensing his fear of not being as strong as his grandfather, Darth Vader.
Shocked by her resistance, Kylo seeks his master, Supreme Leader Snoke, for help. In the novelization, Snoke tells Kylo that the reason of his failure is not Rey’s strength but that the compassion he feels for the girl is making him weak. [2] Afterwards, Rey escapes, and while Kylo is pursuing her, he meets Han Solo. Although he is conflicted and struggling with his own feelings upon seeing his father, Kylo ends up following his master’s instructions and murders Han in an attempt to commit himself to the dark side by killing the light inside him.
Kylo in awe after Rey used the Force to pull Anakin’s lightsaber from the snow.
After he kills Han, Rey becomes totally disgusted by him. He finds her and Finn in the forest of Starkiller Base while they are trying to escape, and she calls him a «monster» showing her disgust. When Kylo temporally knocks Rey out, Finn activates Anakin’s lightsaber to fight him. Kylo becomes furious, he demands his grandfather’s lightsaber as he believes it rightfully belongs to him. Kylo defeats Finn and uses the Force to try to pull the lightsaber that fell on the snow, but Rey wakes up and pulls the saber, causing it to fly pass him to her. This time, instead of being angry, he just looks at her completely in awe and murmurs «It is you.». Rey is surprised by his words since he seems to know more about her than she does about herself. [2]
Kylo fights Rey on Starkiller Base and offers to train her.
«You need a teacher! I could show you the ways of the Force!«
— Kylo Ren after cornering Rey on the edge of a rift during their battle
He battles her and initially dominates the fight. At a certain point, he corners her on the edge of a rift but instead of pushing her down, he tells her that she needs training and offers to teach her the ways of the Force, showing that he has no true intent to kill her. This is even more evident in the novelization because when he corners her, he states that he could kill her, but that there is another way, and then he offers to train her. [2] However, this moment of hesitation to finish his opponent gives Rey time to figure out her newfound Force powers, and she encounters her inner strength to fight him back. She attacks and is able to overpower him. Kylo falls on the ground, badly injured and with a large scar on his face. An unidentifiable voice inside Rey’s head (possibly Snoke or Palpatine) tells her to kill him and, as she is dominated by the dark side because of her desire for revenge, she is tempted to do it. [2] But then, as Starkiller Base collapses, a rift opens right between them, separating Rey from Kylo.
The Last Jedi
Rey travels to Ahch-To seeking Luke Skywalker and tries to convince him to fight for the Resistance. However, because of his past failure as a master with his own nephew, Ben Solo, Luke does not wish to leave the island and he determined to die in his exile. When Rey tells him about her newfound Force abilities, he refuses to teach her, saying that he wants the Jedi to end with his death. Despite this, Luke senses something different about Rey and, after some persistence, he agrees to teach her three lessons about the Force. But during the first lesson, Luke becomes terrified of her raw strength in the Force and also because Rey does not hesitate to go to the dark upon being called by the dark side of the island, reminding him of his nephew.
Luke tells Rey his own version of the night Ben turned to the dark side. Ben was his student in his Jedi Temple and, according to Luke, at the night he went to confront his nephew about the darkness within him, Ben turned against him and attacked him. Believing himself as a failure after Ben’s fall, Luke exiled himself on Ahch-To to die. Meanwhile, as he teaches Rey about the Force and tells her about his past mistakes, Luke is unaware that Rey has a connection with his nephew and that she has been communicating with him.
Kylo and Rey are surprised that they can see each other through the Force.
Rey and Kylo look at each other during the first Force bond connection.
«Can you see my surroundings? I can’t see yours. Just you. «
— Kylo during the first Force bond connection
It is revealed that Rey and Kylo have a Force bond, later revealed to be the result of them being a dyad in the Force. This bond connects their minds visually and emotionally across space and time, allowing them to communicate and see each other despite being in different locations. As time passes, their bond grows stronger, also allowing them to touch and transfer objects through the Force. Rey and Kylo’s bond is the only one known that allows physical contact between the bonded pair across great distances, an ability related to them being a dyad.
During the first connections, Rey is surprised and still furious at Kylo for murdering Han Solo. On the other hand, instead of being angry with her for defeating him on Starkiller Base, Kylo seems to be curious and fascinated by their newfound connection. His calmness irritates Rey, that calls him «murderous snake» and a «monster» again. However, as they continue to interact during the Force connections, a closer relationship evolves between them. They find a common sentiment of abandonment because of their past histories with their families, and they start to feel empathy towards each other. Rey tries to understand the man that hides behind the mask of Kylo Ren and the reasons that led to his acts.
Their interactions have hints of growing romantic feelings between them. In the novelization, their feelings and relationship are even more explicit, definitely showing their want to be together. [3] There are also hints that they are attracted to the other: Rey becomes nervous when she sees him shirtless during a Force bond connection; they are seen staring each other’s lips more than once; and they both keep eye contact, gazing intently the other for too long in several scenes.
At a certain point, Rey starts to call him Ben and she’s the only one who Kylo allows it. This is very significant because he hates his birthname for reminding him of the burden of the family legacy imposed on him and the unrealistic expectations people had about him. [9] [8] Additionally, Kylo Ren is known for being temperamental, impatient and emotionally unbalanced. However, whenever he is around Rey, he maintains his composure, being calm and soft-spoken because her presence has a calming effect on him.
One night, Rey argues with Kylo during a connection. She cries and asks him why he killed Han, a father that cleary loved him. Kylo tells Rey he didn’t hate Han and that she is unable to let go of her past even after being abandoned by her parents. During this conversation, Kylo also tells Rey his version about the night he turned to the dark side. According to him, Luke had tried to kill him during his sleep, so he attacked his uncle to defend himself. Rey initially does not believe in Kylo’s version and accuses him of lying. However, incited by this conversation, she decides to look for answers about her parents, so she goes to explore the dark side of the island that previously called to her. She falls into a blowhole, entering a mirror cave. Inside the cave, she sees many versions of herself reflected in the mirrors. She asks the mirror cave to see her parents, but the cave only shows her two shadow figures that merge into one before turning into her own reflection.
After leaving the mirror cave with no answers, Rey is devastated and lonely. She feels the need to talk to someone about the cave, someone that would understand about solitude and loss, and she thinks that the person that would understand her feelings is Kylo. [3] So, when the Force connects them shortly after, she is relieved to see him. She sits beside him inside the hut, and is intrigued on how despite being separated, he seems to be near her, and she considers touching his hand, face and hair. [3] She tells him everything that happened in the cave and he listens intently. Kylo sympathizes with Rey because he also feels abandoned by his family. He becomes emotional, tearing up as she tells him how lonely she is feeling. He tries to comfort her saying that she is not alone, and Rey replies that he is not either.

«And neither are you.«
— Rey and Kylo comforting each other through their Force bond
During this moment of shared loneliness and vulnerability, she offers her hand to him and they touch hands, reaching for each other through their Force bond. When their fingers touch, they are surprised by visions of each other, and Rey is able to feel his internal conflict herself. This convinces Rey that she can help him to turn back to the light side. Suddenly, Luke walks inside the hut and sees them together, clasping hands and staring into each other’s eyes. [3] Luke becomes furious and destroys the hut, interrupting the connection. Luke orders Rey to leave the island, but Rey is also furious and confronts him about his attempt to murder Ben Solo. Luke admits that he was tempted to kill Ben after sensing the darkness within him, but he regretted immediately after igniting his lightsaber. Unfortunately, the damage was already done because Ben had woken up and saw his uncle with the saber activated over his head.
Luke tells Rey that he is convinced that Ben is gone for good. However, after feeling Kylo’s conflict, Rey is convinced of the opposite. She defends Ben, saying that he had still not made his choice during the night Luke went to confront him, and that Luke’s mistake was thinking that he already had. She becomes confident that Ben Solo will be redeemed if she goes to him. But Luke is still not hopeful and tries to warn Rey not to act impulsively. Rey then offers him his father’s saber again for him to fight alongside the Resistance. As Luke still refuses to take the saber, Rey declares that Ben Solo is their last hope to win the war and leaves the island to meet Kylo Ren on the Supremacy, determined to bring him back with her.
Rey tries to convince Kylo that he will change to the light side.
«You don’t have to do this. I feel the conflict in you. It’s tearing you apart. Ben, when we touched hands, I saw your future. Just the shape of it, but solid and clear. You will not bow before Snoke. You’ll turn. I’ll help you, I saw it.«
«I saw something too. Because of what I saw, I know when the moment comes, you’ll be the one to turn. You’ll stand with me. Rey, I saw who your parents are.«
— Kylo and Rey talk about the visions they saw in the elevator of the Supremacy
Kylo smiles at the sight of Rey arriving the Supremacy inside an escape pod. He then teases her about his grandfather’s lightsaber by trying to confiscate the weapon saying that it belongs to him. When Rey tries to provoke him back saying that the saber called to her, not to him, she sees his mouth twitch in the beginning of a smile. [3] In the elevator, Rey tells him that she had seen his future when they touched hands and that she is going to help him change to the light. But Kylo tells her that he saw her past and her parents, and he is convinced that the opposite will happen, and they’ll be together in the dark side. During this conversation, Rey senses many emotions in him through the Force: anger, confusion, pain, loneliness, longing and sorrow. Just before they leave the elevator to meet his master in the throne room, Rey realizes that his churning feelings are also about her, and not just about himself. [3]
Kylo then brings her before his master, Supreme Leader Snoke, who tortures her to get information about Luke Skywalker. During all this process, Kylo watches everything kneeling with his head down, but he directs furious stares at his master when he falsely claims to be the creator of the connections to lead Rey into a trap and also after Snoke is done torturing her. When Rey is being tortured and starts to scream in pain, Kylo looks down, averting his eyes from the scene with a pained look on his face.
Then, Snoke orders Kylo to kill her for being a Jedi. The Supreme Leader senses that his apprentice’s conflict has finally reached a resolve and that Kylo is determined to kill his true enemy, so Snoke is very confident that this enemy is Rey. However, Snoke fails to notice his apprentice disbelief and the disgust he has come to feel for him since Han Solo’s death. In addition to this, Snoke also doesn’t realize that Kylo had developed genuine affection for Rey during their connections. Managing not to show his true feelings, Kylo succeeds in hiding who he actually sees as his true enemy. Kylo defies his master’s order, tricking him, pretending that he is going to kill Rey while simultaneously turning his grandfather’s lightsaber towards his master. Thus, Snoke is surprised when Kylo activates the blue lightsaber that is beside him instead of igniting the one that he is holding and pointing towards Rey.
Rey grabs Kylo’s thigh to support her attacks while they are fighting together against the Elite Praetorian Guards.
Kylo then returns Anakin’s saber to Rey and she looks at him surprised that he saved her life. Kylo and Rey unite forces to defeat Snoke’s Praetorian Guards and while they are fighting back-to-back, Rey not only leans on his back but is also seen grabbing his thigh to support her attacks against the guards. While they are fighting together, Rey senses Kylo’s excitement and hunger. [3] During this confrontation, Kylo is surrounded by his opponents but he stops and looks around to check if Rey is not in trouble when he sees her struggling against one of the guards. Rey manages to defeat all the opponents surrounding her, she turns around and sees a disarmed Kylo being held by a guard. Rey throws Anakin’s lightsaber to him and he finishes the last Praetorian Guard.
After the fight is over, Rey is convinced that he changed sides and immediately asks for his help to save the Resistance fleet. However, despite of his feelings for Rey, Kylo shows no interest in helping the Resistance. Instead, he tells her to let all the old things (including Skywalker, Snoke, the Sith, the Jedi and the rebels) to die to create something new. Then, Kylo holds out his hand and asks her to join him to create a new order and rule the galaxy together.
Kylo asks Rey to join him and rule the galaxy by his side.
As he senses her hesitation, Kylo begs Rey to take his hand.
«I want you to join me. We can rule together and bring a new order to the galaxy.«
«Don’t do this, Ben. Please don’t go this way.«
«You come from nothing. You’re nothing, but not to me. Join me. Please. «
— Kylo asks Rey to join him
While attempting to convince her to join him, Kylo reveals to her what he saw in her mind when they touched hands: Rey’s parents were nobodies that sold her for drinking money, they are dead and buried on Jakku. He then confesses to her that even if she comes from nothing and has no place in history or the galaxy, she does mean something to him. But Rey is heartbroken after Kylo revealed his intention to create a legacy far different from both Luke’s and Snoke’s, letting all the past die. Rey believes that Kylo betrayed the good person she sees in him, and upon realizing that her intentions to turn him had failed, she feels disappointed. She hesitates for a moment but ends up rejecting his hand even after he begs her to take it. She then tries to use the Force to pull Anakin’s lightsaber from him, but Kylo reacts trying to pull it back. The lightsaber breaks in half and they both fall unconscious from the impact.

Rey wakes up first and retrieves both pieces of the broken lightsaber. She then escapes the Supremacy, leaving an unconscious but unharmed Kylo Ren behind as she believes that his fate should be up to the Force and not to her. [3] Upon waking up alone in the throne room and realizing that Rey is gone, Kylo seems very shaken. He is also confused about why Rey didn’t kill him while he was unconscious, and asks himself if she really does care about him. [3] But overall he is very frustrated after being rejected by her. Later, during the Battle of Crait, he even tells Luke that he intends to destroy her along with the rest of the Resistance. However, when they face each other again during a Force bond connection, Rey shuts the Falcon’s door in his face to show her distress, and he only bows down his head, looking even more depressed. Inside the Falcon, when Rey sees Finn with Rose, she seems upset not because of jealousy, she’s saddened that Ben isn’t with them, which is hinted by her looking at the broken lightsaber, holding it tightly in her hands.
The Rise of Skywalker
«I offered you my hand once. You wanted to take it. Why didn’t you?«
«You could’ve killed me. Why didn’t you?«
— Kylo and Rey during the first connection after a year without communicating with each other
One year later, Kylo finds out that Emperor Palpatine is alive on Exegol. Sidious tells him the truth of Rey’s origins after offering him a Sith fleet and power if Kylo kills her to end the Jedi once and for all. Kylo pursues Rey, pretending to have accepted Palpatine’s offer but he actually has other plans in mind. As soon as he is connected with Rey again through their Force bond, Kylo immediately warns Rey that Palpatine is after her life. He then attempts again to convince her to join him. He asks why she rejected his hand on the Supremacy as he sensed that she wanted to take it. He also tells her that he has other plans when she accuses him of serving Palpatine as his new master. He states that he doesn’t want to kill her, instead he tries to find Rey because he wishes to have her with him after turning her to the dark side.
Ruling the galaxy side by side with Rey has become Kylo’s greatest ambition. He recognized the power of their union after they joined forces to defeat Snoke, so he now believes that they would be invincible together. [1] He continues to seek and follow her, repeatedly trying to persuade her to join him in the dark side to defeat Palpatine to acquire his power and throne together.
On the other hand, Rey is still at odds with him, and is irritated by Kylo Ren chasing her around. During their first connection after a year without communicating with each other, she feels the impulse to tell him to kiss a rathtar while he is trying to convince her about the darkness that exists within her, but she also is confused by feelings she doesn’t understand upon hearing her name on his lips. [1] Additionally, Rey has been disturbed by visions of a dark version of herself, and of her and Kylo Ren sitting on the Throne of the Sith together. To make matters worse, the dark side also has been tempting her during moments of anger.
Although he has no wish to kill Rey as he was instructed by the Emperor, at times, Kylo is tempted by the dark side to do so. He realized that Rey has become the light in his life and because she is the one attracting him to the light side, the darkness within him urges him to get rid of her and end his painful internal conflict. [1] However, when meeting Rey on Pasaana, he is surprised upon feeling relief that she is unharmed after he drove his new ship towards her at high speed while he was being dominated by the dark side. In the end, the murderous impulses contradict his deepest desire to have Rey for himself. [1] As she takes his ship down by cutting it with the lightsaber, Rey is also confused about her own feelings when she sees his ship crash landing on the desert, not knowing if she wanted him dead or alive. [1]

Kylo offers his hand to Rey again after finding her on the First Order’s Star Destroyer.
«My mother was the daughter of Vader. Your father was the son of the Emperor. What Palpatine doesn’t know is we’re a dyad in the Force, Rey. Two that are one.«
— Kylo reveals to Rey the truth about her lineage and the nature of their Force bond
Upon encountering Rey again on the First Order’s Star Destroyer, he reveals to her about her Palpatine lineage and that they are a Force dyad, two that are one in the Force, making their connection unique and one not seen in generations. He is enjoying so much to meet her in person that he doesn’t even care about all the destruction and fallen stormtroopers surrounding him since he thinks the First Order’s losses are nothing if he is able to see her again. As he watches her reacting to his revelations, he describes her face as lovely. [1] He offers his hand again, and Rey hesitates as she also has come to believe that they are capable of incredible things together after she recognized that their combined forces killed Snoke. But then the Falcon arrives to rescue Rey, and Kylo becomes frustrated watching her leave. Her rejection stings Kylo, [7] he claims to hate the Falcon, thinking that she would have accepted his hand if the ship had not appeared. At this moment, Rey hated Kylo for reveling her Palpatine lineage, but she was also glad that he told her about their dyad. [1]
After cornering Rey on the Death Star ruins, Kylo tries to prevent her from going to face Palpatine without him when he breaks the Sith wayfinder leading to Exegol that Rey found. They duel, and as they are fighting on the top of the wreckage, they talk into each other’s minds. Kylo states that he knows her, but Rey says that nobody does, and Kylo replies «But I do.». [1] Kylo spends most of the battle just blocking or dodging her attacks, hinting that he has no will to fight and hurt her. Nevertheless, Kylo still dominates the fight until the moment Leia Organa uses the rest of her strength to reach him through the Force, an act that ends up killing her. Sensing his mother’s death, Kylo is paralyzed and drops his lightsaber, becoming defenseless. Rey uses this opportunity to grab his saber and stabs him with his own weapon. Also sensing Leia’s death, Rey is able to let go of the rage she was losing herself into and realizes what she has just done to Kylo in her moment of fury. Upon seeing him broken and vulnerable, Rey realizes that she has no wish to see him die and immediately regrets gravely injuring someone dear to her.
Rey uses the Force to heal Kylo at the cost of a lot of her own life energy.
Kylo surprised after Rey saved his life and confessed her feelings for him.
«I did want to take your hand. Ben’s hand.«
— Rey confesses her feelings to Kylo
She puts a hand on his wound to force heal him. His injuries are mortal, so Rey has to give too much of her life energy to him, but she is willing to die to save him in this moment. [1] This act heals not only the wound she just inflicted but also the scar on his face that she gave him during their first battle. Kylo then looks at her with longing and confusion, not knowing why she saved his life. [1] Rey confesses that she did want to hold his hand, but she wanted Ben’s hand, not Kylo’s. This confirms to him about her romantic feelings but that she would never join Kylo Ren in the dark side. Kylo is surprised by her confession, after she takes off aboard his ship, leaving him alone on the wreckage, he reflects about what he should do next. He is confronted by a vision of his father that encourages him to come back to the light side. He thinks about the ones that always believed in him despite everything: Han Solo, Leia and Rey. Ultimately, Rey’s love along with the pain and guilt that Kylo feels about his parents’ death are the key to turn him back to the light side. After accepting Han’s forgiveness, he decides to throw away his red lightsaber, cutting ties with the dark side and the First Order, and becomes Ben Solo again.
In the meantime, Rey travels to Ahch-To. Losing control of herself and almost killing Kylo on the Death Star ruins is what makes Rey decide to exile herself from the galaxy as Luke once did. She burns the ship that she took from Kylo, thinking that she does not want to fight him ever again. [1] She fears to succumb to the dark side and become like her grandfather. So, she decides to isolate herself from the galaxy and give up of her Jedi path to protect her loved ones, not wishing to harm neither Kylo nor her friends because of her own actions. However, as Rey attempts to throw Anakin’s lightsaber at the fire, Luke’s Force spirit appears before her and gets the saber. Rey sits by the firepit, still exhausted from dueling and giving so much of her energy to heal Kylo. She tells Luke how she almost killed Kylo because she was blind with rage during their duel and that she decided to exile herself. Luke tells her that she saved Kylo’s life despite of what she did, which shows that she has a good heart. [1] Luke encourages her to confront her fears and fight her grandfather, and Rey decides to travel to Exegol to defeat Palpatine.
On the wreckage of the Death Star, after coming back to the light side, Ben is consumed by his desire to save Rey from the Emperor. [1] When Rey goes to confront her grandfather alone, Ben follows the tracking signal she is transmitting to guide the Resistance to Exegol. Upon arriving, he senses that she is in trouble and immediately runs to find her. Just armed with a blaster and the Force, Ben is determined to not let anything stop him from reaching her. [1] Ben runs shooting at the enemies along the way with a blaster until he is surrounded by the Knights of Ren. Meanwhile, the Emperor is trying to persuade Rey to kill him to save her friends that are being attacked by his Sith fleet. Palpatine’s plan is to convince Rey to murder him with hatred, which would allow his spirit to possess her body in the Sith ritual, so she would become his new vessel and assume his place as Empress Palpatine. Desperate to save the Resistance members, Rey accepts to grant her grandfather’s wishes, but then she senses through the bond that Ben Solo has arrived.
Ben gets his grandfather’s lightsaber from Rey through their bond.
When the Force bond connects them, she sees that Ben has come to help her, and she is able to sense how he changed. Rey also senses that their connection is finally right, good, and it feels like coming home. [1] Realizing this, Rey becomes emotional and close to tears. She then tricks Palpatine pretending that she will strike him down, but Anakin’s lightsaber disappears from her hands. Rey had passed the lightsaber to Ben through their bond and he proudly wields his grandfather’s saber to confront the Knights of Ren. Inspired to fight alongside Ben, Rey attacks the Emperor’s Sovereign Protectors that had surrounded her. Even as they fight their enemies in separate locations, Ben and Rey draw strength from each other, and Rey warns him when one of the knights attempts to attack him from behind. [1] After defeating the Knights of Ren, Ben reunites with Rey in the Emperor’s throne room.
Ben and Rey stand together to confront Palpatine.
Upon reuniting, Rey and Ben gaze each other before turning around to confront Palpatine together. But when Sidious sees them together, he finds out that they are a dyad, and the power of their connection is the perfect source of energy to rejuvenate his imperfect cloned body. He starts to drain the energy of their bond, which he states to be as powerful as life itself. As the Emperor rises stronger, Rey and Ben both fall on the ground weakened. To mock and avenge his previous defeat at the hands of Anakin Skywalker, the Emperor holds Ben using the Force and throws him into a pit. Thus, as she regains consciousness, Rey is forced to face Sidious alone. Rey manages to finish Palpatine with the help of the Jedi from the past, but this act also kills her.
Ben hugs Rey’s dead body while mourning her death.
Ben pours all the rest of his life energy into Rey to revive her.
Meanwhile, Ben is badly injured and trying to climb the pit, but he becomes desperate because he is not sensing Rey through their bond anymore. [1] After climbing out of the pit, he crawls and limps his way towards Rey. The vision of her lifeless body causes a pain in his chest much worse than any of the physical wounds he got from the fall. He is devasted as he holds her in his arms, hugging her to himself. Ben regards Rey as the strongest person he ever known, he admires her for saving everyone and helping him to come back to the light. He is unable to accept her death after they finally truly found each other, so he thinks that he wasted his life because of his mistakes. [1] As he is mourning and holding tightly in his arms the dead body of the woman he loves, Ben senses a tiny spark inside her, and he realizes that the Force still had not taken her. Upon noticing this, Ben knows what he has to do, and it is the easiest decision he ever made. With no hesitation, he decides to sacrifice himself to resurrect her, thinking that Rey would’ve done the same for him if she was in his place. [1]
Rey finally holds Ben’s hand as she comes back to life.
Ben and Rey share a passionate kiss.
In an act of genuine selfless love, he puts a hand on her abdomen and starts to pour all the rest of his own life energy into Rey to revive her. As she wakes up in his arms, she covers his hand on her belly with her own, as a sign that she finally accepted to hold his hand. But Ben was expecting Rey’s rejection again. He thinks that he would understand if she decided to leave him behind, to forget about him and to move on with her life. [1] To his surprise, her eyes light up upon seeing him, she smiles and whispers his name, showing that she is actually glad to be with him. They smile and gaze into the other’s eyes, completely in love with each other. Ben’s heart is overwhelmed by emotion as her hand reaches to touch his face, her fingers linger on his cheek, and he is filled with wonder when she leans forward and kisses him passionately. With the kiss, they acknowledge their connection as a dyad and celebrate that they are finally together. [1]
«No one’s ever really gone.«
— Rey is comforted upon hearing Ben’s voice through the Force
However, as they kiss, Rey gets worried when she feels him becoming cold. After having used all his life energy to heal Rey, Ben Solo smiles to her one last time before falling back and disappearing in her arms, his final awareness is of Rey still holding his hand. [1] Ben has no regrets after giving his whole self to Rey and bringing her back to the galaxy, but upon seeing him vanish, Rey stares his empty tunic and becomes desperate. Although she does not want to mourn Kylo Ren, she mourns Ben Solo, wishing she had the opportunity to know him, and feeling that half of her soul was ripped from her. She is devasted that after all the years of loneliness on Jakku, she was part of a bond, a dyad, the whole time and she didn’t know before. The connection had become precious and gave her a incredible sense of oneness, but as it was taken from her, Rey cries missing her other half. [1] But then she hears Ben calling her through the Force. Ben tries to comfort her, assuring that he’ll always be with her. Upon hearing his voice, Rey smiles as she realizes that they will always be together because in some way he is not truly gone. [1]

However, Kendall has an equal amount of romantic feelings for both Lucy and Jo and is soon forced to runaway when both girls spot him. Eventually, Kendall takes advice from his younger sister, Katie, advising him to take a walk to help clear his mind and in doing so, keeps finding signs indicating he should be with Lucy. Due to this, Lucy left the Palm Woods and hasn’t been seen since.

James and Carlos were shocked they had been duped by Lucy, but quickly over it and helped Kendall to prove to Lucy that Big Time Rush truly rocked. By the end of her debut appearence, James and Carlos remained friends with Lucy and managed to prove Big Time Rush to her. Since then, James and Lucy became friends, but James still harboured romantic feelings towards her and soon found himself in another rivalry with Kendall for Lucy when they returned from their world tour in the beginning of the third season. James was angered, revealing he called «dibs» on Lucy and thus believed Kendall held no right to interfere in his attempts to date her.
Lucy found out about the «dibs» rule and became angered, but eventually they managed to reconcile. Eventually, James learned his feelings for Lucy were unrequited upon learning of Kendall and Lucy’s growing romantic feelings for each other and putting his best friends happiness before his own, James began supporting Kendall to be with Lucy. James continued to show his support, even helping Kendall to expose Lucy’s former boyfriend, Beau as a cheater, even dressing as a girl in an effort to expose the truth. Thankfully, Lucy discovered Beau’s true nature and when she began leaving, everyone and James encouraged Kendall into the elevator to be with Lucy, again showing his approval and support. However, Kendall and Lucy’s newfound romantic relationship was immediately broken off when Kendall’s original girlfriend Jo returned and they resumed their romantic relationship, resulting in Kendall and Lucy’s break up and Lucy leaving the Palm Woods.

Biography
The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride
Kovu is the son and youngest child of Zira, the head of a rogue pride that was loyal to Scar. Shortly after being born, Scar deemed Kovu to be his heir, despite not being his son. Sometime after this, Scar’s nephew Simba returned, defeated Scar and banished Zira, Kovu, his siblings Nuka and Vitani, and the rest of Scar’s followers to the Outlands. As a cub, Kovu ran into Simba’s daughter Kiara, since he met her first. Despite being told not to mingle with Outsiders, Kovu and Kiara quickly become friends. But then Simba and Zira arrive and takes their cubs back to their homes. Years later, Kovu and Kiara are now adolescents. Kiara is out on her first solo hunt, while Kovu has been sent to kill Simba. They run into each other just as Kovu’s siblings Nuka and Vitani try to trap Kiara with fire. After saving Kiara’s life, Simba reluctantly lets Kovu join their pride. While among them, Kovu learns that Scar wasn’t the hero his mother had held him up to be. Kovu and Simba bond, but as soon as Kovu earns Simba’s complete trust, Zira and her pride attack. Nuka is killed, which earns Kovu the scorn of his mother, who scratches him across the face, giving him the Scar of his adoptive father.
As Kovu returns, Simba orders his exile under the belief that Kovu was part of a conspiracy. Kiara runs after Kovu, and he talks of running away and starting their own pride, but Kiara tells him that they have to go back and reunite their prides or they will be divided forever. The two arrive back at the Pridelands just as the Pridelanders and Outsiders are fighting and stop their parents from attacking each other, but while Simba and the rival lionesses agree to stop fighting, Zira tried to attack Simba, but Kiara tackles her sending the two lionesses over the edge of the cliff, where Kiara tried to reach Zira, but the evil lioness refuses her help and fell to her death and Simba help Kiara get back to the top of the cliff. The two prides reconciled, Simba, gives Kovu his blessing that one day he can be king alongside Kiara.
The Lion Guard
Kovu guests stars in the Disney Junior series (which takes place after he first meets Kiara and before he saves her from the fire during her first hunt), in the episode Lions of the Outlands. In the episode, it is revealed that the Outsiders had taken over a waterhole from a hyena clan.
He first appears when he comes across Nuka being pinned down by Kion (which he did to protect his hyena friend Jasiri (who is a member of the clan the Outsiders drive out) after Nuka tackled her). Kion at first believes that Kovu is Nuka’s friend before the former corrects him that their brothers. After learning from Jasiri that Kion is Simba’s son and could perhaps convince the king to let the Outsiders return to the Pride Lands (due to being unaware of the reasons behind their exile), Kovu expresses his excitement of perhaps seeing Kiara again. Kion is surprised to hear that Kovu knows his sister, to which Kovu says that it was a while ago, before telling Nuka that they’ve got to take the two to see Zira.
Whilst Zira (after learning about Kion being Simba’s son and leader of The Lion Guard) goes to talk with Kion privately about the Roar of the Elders, she leaves Jasiri with Kovu, Nuka, and Vitani. Nuka tries to attack Jasiri, but Kovu stands in his way (as Zira didn’t want anything bad happening whilst she was gone). Zira soon returns to her children and tells Jasiri that Kion has allowed the Outsiders to keep the waterhole, before ordering the hyena to leave. Kovu then goes with his mother and siblings to Kion, who is surrounded by the other Outsiders. Kovu is confused as he thought Kion was going to convince Simba to let the Outsiders return to the Pride Lands. Zira replies that Kion has sided with the hyenas and that he can’t use the Roar on them as he will lose it like Scar.
Luckily, the rest of The Lion Guard (who were told by Rafiki about Zira’s exile) along with Jasiri arrive to help Kion. After being told by Bunga that Scar lost the Roar due to using it for evil rather against other lions, Kion uses the Roar to blast Zira and the Outsiders to termite mounts. Kovu is able to avoid the blast but runs after his pride when Kion starts to approach him.
Kovu came back in the series finale, «Return to the Pridelands», which took place a short time after The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride. Kovu and Kiara arrived to stop a fight between Kion’s Lion Guard and Vitani’s Lion Guard (which formed in the absence of Kion’s Lion Guard, who had left the Pride Lands to find The Tree of Life). He then revealed to Kion and his friends that Zira had died. Kovu explained everything that happened while Kion and his friends were at the Tree of Life and Simba explained that Kovu and Kiara would be the future rulers of the Pride Lands. Kovu is later seen looking at Mufasa’s spirit in the night sky with his new family and later watches the battle of the Lion Guards between Kion and Vitani to decide which Lion Guard should be the official Lion Guard of the Pride Lands. Kovu’s last appearance is him attending the wedding and coronation of Kion and Rani after Kion decided to give up being leader of The Lion Guard and gave it to Vitani so he could be with Rani at The Tree of Life.

Jinx is an Honorary Titan and former villainess. Prior to joining the Teen Titans, Jinx was a top student of the H.I.V.E. Academy and the leader of the H.I.V.E. Five. She is also the love interest of Kid Flash.
Contents
Character History
Jinx became a former H.I.V.E. Academy student, along withGizmo and Mammoth. Her first mission with her classmates (for which they were dispatched by the H.I.V.E. Headmistress, who had been hired by Slade) was to destroy the Titans. They managed to force the Titans out of their tower, but the Titans came back with Robin and managed to defeat Jinx and her team. At some point, Jinx was associated with both the Junior H.I.V.E. Academy and Dark Way Prep.
Later on, Jinx was involved in a series of bank robberies with Gizmo and Mammoth commissioned by their then-current H.I.V.E. headmaster, Brother Blood, but the Titans planted a tracking device on her while they escaped and had Cyborgenter the H.I.V.E. as a student to infiltrate their organization. Cyborg posed as «Stone» and befriended the villainous trio (though Gizmo became more and more jealous about his standing with Brother Blood). Jinx and Stone developed a crush on each other during this time, though Jinx didn’t know that «Stone» was really Cyborg in disguise.
Soon Cyborg’s identity was revealed, and he brought down the H.I.V.E. Academy. Jinx appeared hurt by Cyborg’s betrayal, but escaped with her friends and formed theH.I.V.E. Five with Gizmo, Mammoth, See-More and Private H.I.V.E. Jinx and the other members of the H.I.V.E. Five briefly engaged the Titans (brainwashed at that time) in combat during a raid on a shopping mall, but just as they were gaining the upper hand in the battle, the entity known as Mother Mae-Eye appeared and defeated them. Later on, after they had defeated Mother Mae-Eye, the Titans tricked Gizmo into taking the pie she was in, and Mother Mae-Eye subsequently brainwashed the H.I.V.E. by feeding them her pie.
Jinx then appeared as the de facto leader of a slightly reorganized H.I.V.E. Five group, consisting of herself, Mammoth, Gizmo, See-More, Billy Numerous, and Kyd Wykkyd. Jinx was apparently the only member of this group who took her criminal career seriously, as the other members all displayed a serious lack of initiative and a remarkably short attention span.
This latest incarnation of the H.I.V.E. Five was foiled during a raid on a museum by the teenage superhero Kid Flash, and in an attempt to improve the group’s standing in the eyes of the Brotherhood of Evil, Jinx attempted to capture Kid Flash and present him to the Brotherhood as a gift. Jinx particularly hoped to win the approval and respect of Madame Rouge, whom she idolized. However, Kid Flash took a liking to Jinx, and during their encounters, he alternately flirted with her and tried to convince her to denounce her life of crime. This annoyed Jinx greatly, but something in Kid Flash’s words struck a chord within her. She later told Kid Flash that it was her power of «bad luck» that made her decide on pursuing a villainous life, since she saw little alternative considering the nature of her powers.
Relationships
Kid Flash
Jinx is the girlfriend of Kid Flash. Their relationship was kind of rocky at first but they are off that road and now really care for each other. In the comics they are shown more romantic. They have been seen on dates to the movies, at the carnival, at the pizza place, and in the park. They help each other when they need it like when Jinx helped Kid Flash all the way to the tower and pleaded with Raven to help him get his powers back. They are opposites. While Jinx has been cursed with bad luck and was barely surviving at a villainess career Kid Flash has lived a normal life until there was an accident and he became Kid Flash the partner of The Flash. Jinx becomes easily jealous when he flirts with other girls. Because of Jinx being a former villainess, she went undercover once to join the Fearsome Five.
When Kid Flash was watching through the monitor he was worried about her and he told the Titans not to hurt her. In Dial H for Hero, Kid Flash called Jinx Slowpoke like how Kid Kold had nicknamed her Lucky. Kid Flash and Jinx are a strong couple in the series, despite only featuring them for a few episodes. They deeply care for each other and they help each other when one is in trouble.
Jinx originally hated Kid Flash when he replaced the stolen necklace in her hand with a rose.

Sanji, born as Vinsmoke Sanji, is the chef of the straw hats pirates, the 3rd son of the Vinsmoke Family and the former prince of Germa kingdom. Aside from his cooking skills, he is also well known for his flirtatious and perverted behaviour towards women. During the Whole Cake Island arc, he became the love interest of Charlotte Pudding.
Contents
Romance
Due to his chivalry and perverted nature, Sanji has developed interest in many women towards the series.
Sanji met Nami during his time as sous-chef in Baratie. He found her attractive and beautiful. He usually flirts with her as he does with every women. Nami often takes advantage of Sanji’s undying devotion to her, ordering him to do her bidding, which Sanji enjoys it. However, she does often get annoyed by his womanizing behaviour during serious moments and doesn’t hesitate to beat him up. An example of this is when Sanji left a note behind for Nami before he boarded the Puffing Tom at Water 7, she was annoyed that the first half of the note was a pointless love letter before Sanji mentioned the more critical details last.
Sanji is always kind and respectful towards her, as he addresses her as «Nami-san», which is reciprocated by Nami, as he is the only one Nami does call by honorifics; addressing him as «Sanji-kun». Not only Nami respects Sanji as better cook, but also respects him for his chivalry, as during the Ennies Lobby arc, despite being defeated by Khalifa, Nami expressed admiration for Sanji’s ethic at refusing to fight women and decided to pay back Kalifa for what she did, showing she has much respect for Sanji and his principles. Nami is also very trusting of Sanji’s strength and is sometimes seen hiding behind him when there is an enemy nearby. Nami is always shocked and distressed whenever Sanji loses a fight and is even prepared to rush to his aid in some battles. In return, Sanji is quite protective of Nami, and doesn’t hesitate to beat anyone who badmouths her, or does pervert things to her, such as Absalom, when he saw her naked, and tried to marry her during the Thriller Bark arc.
Sanji is always the first to volunteer to rescue or help Nami when she is in trouble. Nami will occasionally get emotional over his dashing rescues (like she does with Luffy) as she cried with happiness when Sanji saved her and the crew from Doflamingo and when Sanji returned to save Usopp from Jabra. Nami also gets angry by any of Sanji’s perverted antics or «lovey-dovey» behaviour (especially towards her). When Sanji was temporarily switched into Nami’s body during the Punk Hazard Arc, Nami made sure that he didn’t go too far in his perverted antics. She went as far as to hurt her own body and also placing large fees for peeping and touching her body.
Despite Sanji’s lecherous nature, Nami still cares and has concern for Sanji though she usually refrains from showing it in front of him (knowing what his reaction would be). This care was shown once in Zou when Sanji was unable to return to the crew. When the Big Mom’s pirates tried to take Sanji away for his arranged marriage to Charlotte Pudding, Sanji accepted the proposal by freeing Nami, along with Chopper and Brook. Nami then cried to Luffy, over Sanji’s sacrifice and was the most distraught crew member over his absence, despite the others reassuring her that Sanji would be fine. Nami even defended Sanji from Zoro when he blamed Sanji for leaving the crew at the worst possible time when it was not Sanji’s fault to begin with. Nami didn’t believe Pekoms when he stated that Sanji was connected to Germa 66 (a mythical evil army) but soon understood why Sanji was forced to leave (as Big Mom would likely behead someone close to Sanji). After learning of Sanji’s connection to the Vinsmoke Family and Germa 66, Nami later demanded Luffy to allow her to go with him on the mission to save Sanji, saying she felt partly responsible for his departure.
In the Whole Cake Island Arc, Nami shows she understands Sanji on a personal level as when she encountered his malicious younger brother Yonji, she claimed that (apart from being a pervert) Yonji was nothing like his older brother. Nami was also shocked to hear the infamous history of Sanji’s family from his older sister. When she learned that Sanji turned down Charlotte Pudding, Nami was left in disbelief that Sanji would turn down a woman. Nami was the only one who was not fooled by Brûlée’s clones of Sanji, saying that the «real Sanji» would never hide from them.
When Nami saw Sanji again, she was happy to see him again. As she was overjoyed, she confessed that she had been worried she would never see him again, but her excitement was short-lived as Sanji (reluctantly) tried to get them to leave Whole Cake Island by kicking Luffy away and acted as if he embraced his royal heritage. As he appeared to reject the offer to return, Nami was speechless and heart broken at Sanji’s supposed change in personality. Sanji even went on to insult them because of their peasant status and for coming all this way for him. Nami was shocked to see Sanji continuing to insult them and their dream as he glared at her, and eventually, she was driven to tears when he proceeded to brutally beat Luffy until he lost consciousness. She was even scared when he gave her a vicious glare to silence her (something he never did before).
After the confrontation, a tearful Nami approached Sanji and angrily slapped him across the face while coldly dismissing him, sarcastically bidding him farewell and abandoning the idea of retrieving him. Notably, she also referred to him as just «Sanji» rather than her usual «Sanji-kun», signifying her loss of respect for him, while Sanji is unable to look her in the eye, instead simply walking away after the strike to his cheek. As Sanji rode away in the carriage, Nami cried even more as Luffy’s yells failed to stop Sanji from leaving them. She then even attempted to get Luffy to abandon trying to rescue Sanji. When his crewmates were captured by Big Mom’s forces, Sanji believed he saved their life by agreeing to marry Pudding, until he learns of Pudding’s deception, Big Mom’ s plan to kill him and his family and the fact that Big mom never intended to keep her promise of not hurting his friends with him, as she planned to kill them after the setup wedding.
When Pudding revealed her true nature while she and Luffy were imprisoned, Nami was horrified and begged to be released, though she was unwilling to rip her arm off to escape as Luffy was. After coming to understand the situation, Nami was deeply saddened by Sanji’s troubles and once again becomes determined to rescue him and bring him back to the crew at all costs. When she and the others were finally able to make contact with Sanji, she was relieved to hear that if they helped with Sanji’s problems then he would rejoin. However, while she does tell him that she’ll never forgive him for the despair he put her through, she’s willing to put that aside for the sake of rescuing him, even stating she would bring him back by force. While taking the never forgiving part as a pierce to the heart, Sanji then mistook her claim of putting it aside as a proposal, and returned to his love-struck personality with her.
Sanji saves Nami from falling, and they smile to each other as he carries her in his arms, running away from the wedding.
Despite her promise of never forgiving him, Nami was happy and could not help but smile broadly at him when Sanji caught her in his arms, saving her from hitting the ground after his sister freed her from Smoothie’s grasp, and referred to him as «Sanji-Kun» again. As Sanji carries Nami away from the wedding, even Pudding sees how they are genuinely smiling to each other and becomes jealous. When he returned to the crew officially, Nami (along with Brook and Chopper) gave Sanji a tight hug with tears in her eyes, causing Sanji to get excited and flip out, which caused Nami to evade him when he tried to hug her back several times. Later, when Nami revealed she had Zeus serving her, Sanji became jealous, and angrily told the homie that he was Nami’s servant long before it showed up.
Although she can tend to come off as violent and angry, Nami does genuinely care for, respect, and value Sanji like everyone else in the crew.
Nico Robin
When Sanji met Robin, he became lovestruck with her, and he along with Luffy were the only ones who accepted her in the crew. He treats her the same way he treats Nami, though Robin always remain calm and polite towards him. When Robin told Sanji and Chopper of her intention to leave the crew because of her dark past, Sanji was a bit shocked at this revelation, but later told Chopper that there was something holding her up and a true man always forgives a woman’s lies. After learning of Robin’s true intentions of leaving with CP 9, Sanji became more determined to rescue her, and beated anyone who badmouthed her such as Wanze for calling her evil. After rescuing Robin, Sanji tried to hug her, before being pushed out of the way by Nami and Chopper.
During the battle against Oars in the anime, while the crew attempted the «docking» technique where they all combine, similar to a «Mecha Robot», Sanji realized if Robin performed the «docking», he could possibly see up her skirt. While thinking this, Robin shot him a sharp deadly look.
Viola
«Your eyes back then. They were telling the truth. Even if a million of people doubted you, I will never doubt a woman’s tears!»
Despite being set up, Sanji affirms his faith in Viola.
When exploring the island of Dressrosa, Sanji met a flamenco dancer named Viola who had a grudge on a certain sniper. Naturally, Sanji offers his assistance without hesitation, and becomes immediately infatuated with her beauty. Not long after that, it was revealed that Violet was one of Doflamingo’s underlings, but in spite of being beaten up, Sanji believed that she was serving against her will, and still wanted to help her. She does not believe him at first, but realizes that he is being sincere after she uses her Devil fruit abilities to look into his mind. Having been touched by Sanji’s sincerity and kindness, she eventually betrays her underlings and urges Sanji to leave Dressrosa, using her powers to show him that he fell into a trap. She cried and thanked Sanji for believing in her, despite her being his enemy. Later, she gives him a Den Den Mushi to warn Law, and also gives him a map to get to the hidden SAD factory.
Charlotte Pudding
«Pudding: I have deceived countless people like this.
Sanji, asking Pudding about her twisted personality.
» The wedding was a trap.. And although everything was an act put on by Big Mom pirates. I’m glad that my fiancee was you, Pudding-chan.»
Despite the cruel deception Pudding put him through, Sanji reciprocrated it with his chivalry and kindness.
In order to assassinate The Vinsmoke family and obtain their technology, Big Mom pretended to form an alliance with the family by marrying her daughter; Pudding to their 3rd son; Sanji. Following her mother’s orders, Pudding agreed to take part in the plot by acting as Sanji’s arranged fiancée. When she first met Sanji, she pretended to be in love with him, however, the latter rejected her, since marrying her would separates him from his friends, which shocked Luffy and the others, who were surprised that Sanji would reject an attractive girl such as Pudding. During their second meeting, Sanji and Pudding conversated more about their marriage, where Sanji showed her his swollen face and told her of his horrible past with his family, he even accepted to marry her, as long as her mother doesn’t lay a finger on his friends. Originally, Pudding thought little of Sanji and saw him as nothing more than a pawn. To add insult to the injury, when she took his sister, Reiju in custody, she revealed her third eye and her cruel personality, where she mocked Sanji; imitating his swollen face, calling ugly and unworthy of being a prince, and also revealed her mother’s plan to assassinate his family, unaware that Sanji was eavesdropping on her conversation. Pudding’s betrayal left Sanji heartbroken, crying silently on the rain. Eventually, Sanji reunited with Luffy and the straw hats, and formed an alliance with Gang Bege, to crash the wedding and assassinate Big Mom
Prior to the wedding, while Sanji became aware of her true nature, he struggled to keep his composure due to Pudding’s beauty. When Pudding told Sanji to kiss her in the mouth, Sanji became exited, getting a rocketed nosebleed that led him crashing on the wall, while Pudding became internally disgusted with his perverted behaviour.
During the wedding, Pudding was prepared to kill Sanji. During the exchange of vows, Pudding showed her third eye to Sanji, expecting a shocked reaction from him that would gives her the necessary time to shoot him. However, much to her surprise, Sanji, told her that her third eye is beautiful. Stunned by this comment, Pudding broke down in tears and couldn’t bring herself to shoot Sanji since he is the first person in her life to say something nice about her third eye. Sanji’s compliment made her remember her past childhood, when she had been mocked, bullied by everyone, even her own mother was creeped by her third eye, and advised her daughter to grow out bangs to hide it. After seeing her crying, Sanji realised the truth behind her cruel facade, and didn’t hesitate to save her, when Luffy emerged from the wedding cake, destroying it in the process. Sanji carried her away from the scene, however after they landed, Pudding furiously attempted to shoot Sanji, but fails. Despite finally revealing her nature to Sanji; stating that she deceived countless people like him, Sanji simply asked her if she also had been deceiving and lying to herself the whole time, which caused her to tear up and waver, before being coldly slapped away by her brother Daifuku, for failing in her task. Later, Pudding witnessed Sanji’s kindness once more after seeing him saving Nami from falling heroically, as she looked at them, shocked. After Bege and the Straw Hats escaped, Big Mom developed a craving for the wedding cake. Pudding volunteered to make it with the help of Chiffon, stating that she was insulted by Sanji, and wanted revenge against him. However it is revealed to be a lie, as she told Chiffon the real reason she wants her help wasn’t for her mother, but to save Sanji and his friends; revealing that she had genuinely fallen in love with Sanji due to his kindness and for accepting her for who she is.
After recruiting Chiffon, Pudding decided to recruit Sanji as well, as she remembered that during their first meeting, he taught her how to make sweets. However, after seeing Sanji once again, she became infatuated and lovestruck with him, while trying to tell Sanji about their mission of making a wedding cake, she developed a split personality disorder, between loving and hating him back. She even developed respect towards him, calling him «Sanji-san» in a hilarious and interrupted way. Despite relapsing on her evil personality and speaking badly of him, Sanji pays no mind to it, and remains friendly with her, complimenting her, and even worries about her when she was wrapped on her homie carpet; Rabyian, telling her not to fall, which made her blush and lovestruck. She even became shy around him, always blushing while looking at him.
Pudding’s time around Sanji lead her to develop the same personality as Sanji’s, as she always gets excited and nosebleeds whenever Sanji does something amazing such as complimenting her chef outfit, kicking her brother Oven aside, making a special ingredient that makes a chef faint over its sweetness, and lifting the carriage that carries the chefs and the cake with a single kick. She also developed an admiration for Sanji’s cooking skills and his pride as a cook, when the latter convinced Bege not to sabotage the wedding cake, since his pride as a cook is to feed anyone who feels hungry. After finishing the wedding cake, Pudding took Sanji back to his friends and later back to rescue his friend, Luffy. Sanji thanked Pudding for her help, while Pudding told Sanji while blushing that she wanted to avoid being mistaken for a couple.
Pudding kisses Sanji, and removes the memory of the kiss.
While waiting for Luffy, Sanji decided to part ways with Pudding once Luffy returns back. Sanji thanked her sincerely for her help, but Pudding rejected it, telling him in her mind that she was the one who deceived him and tried to kill him, and that she is the one who should be thankful and apologise for everything she did. Seeing Pudding confused, Sanji remembered his time with Pudding, telling her despite being enemies, and everything that happened between them up until now, nevertheless, Sanji told Pudding that he is glad that she was his fiancée, which left Pudding in tears, touched by his kind-hearted words once again. Pudding asked Sanji for a last request, throwing his cigarette away. She kissed him, affectionally calling him «Jiji» and thanking him for everything, before saying goodbye. Sanji was overjoyed by that as he became lovestruck. However, Pudding used her devil fruit’s ability to erase Sanji’s memory of the kiss, leaving him unaware of her last request, before going away from him. When Big mom’s cravings stopped, the citizens praised Pudding, but she honestly admitted that the credit didn’t belong to her.
After Sanji and the straw hats escaped, Pudding sat in an alley; remembering the moments she spent with Sanji while treasuring the memory of the kiss. Sanji’s departure left Pudding very devastated and deeply heartbroken, as she continued to cry while thinking about Sanji.

The Lion King
Nala is first seen asleep in her mother Sarafina’s arms inside Pride Rock with the rest of the pride when Simba comes to wake his father Mufasa. She is next seen later that day being bathed by Sarafina when Simba arrives, greeting her and wanting her to come with him to a great place. When asked by his mother Sarabi what the place is, Simba says it is around the water hole to which Nala asks what so good about the water hole and Simba says he will show her when they get there. Nala asks Sarafina if she can go with Simba to which Sarafina asks Sarabi what she thinks. Sarabi allows the two cubs to go as long as Zazu goes with them, much to Simba and Nala’s dismay.
As Zazu takes them to the water hole, Simba tells Nala they are actually going to an Elephant Graveyard and plan to get away from Zazu. As they whisper their plan to each other though, Zazu sees them and mistakenly believes they are flirting, happily declaring this works out perfectly due to their betrothal. When they are confused by this, Zazu explains it means they are engaged and will be married one day. This disgusts both cubs, due to finding the idea of marrying their best friend «too weird». When Simba declares he will get rid of his and Nala’s engagement when he is king, he and Nala mock Zazu when he argues with Simba over this. The cubs then enact their plan to lose him, running through several animal herds until they successfully escape after trapping him underneath a rhinoceros. Shortly after getting away, the two cubs celebrate their success until they begin arguing over whose idea it was and get into a play fight. Simba pounces on Nala while letting out a tiny roar, only for her to easily flip him and pin him with a triumphant «Ha!» and a small thump. As Simba stares up at her in shock, Nala chuckles playfully at him, and teases him «Pinned ya» for his loss. Simba pushes her off him, telling her to let him up, and she turns away with a smug satisfied smile, feeling proud of herself for her victory against Simba, only for Simba to pounce her again from behind while she isn’t looking as revenge and send them rolling down a hill. As they tumbled down the hill together, Nala laughs the whole way down until they reach the bottom, with Nala once again flipping Simba while he is on top of her and pinning him in the same position as before. Smirking down at him, Nala rubs her victory in his face, smugly bragging «Pinned ya again«, with Simba only able to bitterly glare up at her in defeat as she taunts him.
They soon realize that they have stumbled right into the Elephant Graveyard during their scuffle. The two cubs begin to explore, but Zazu arrives and tries to get the two to leave as the place is dangerous. But just then, three hyenas named Shenzi, Banzai and Ed appear and try to kill the cubs. During the chase, the cubs climb up a pile of bones but Nala loses her footing and starts to slip down towards Shenzi, calling out to Simba for help. Simba comes back and saves Nala, scratching Shenzi across the face. Eventually the cubs are cornered by the hyenas, but luckily, Mufasa arrives and fights and chases the hyenas away. As Mufasa escorts them out of the elephant graveyard, Nala whispers to Simba that she thought he was very brave. After returning to the Pride Lands, Mufasa asks Zazu to Nala home whilst he has a word with Simba. The following night, Nala along with the rest of the pride are told by Scar that he died along with Mufasa died in a stampede. After this, Scar becomes king and allows the hyenas to come into the Pride Lands.
Young Adult Nala with Simba
Years later, Nala (now a young adult) leaves to find help as Scar due to allowing the hyenas into the Pride Lands, has made food and water stop. She sees a warthog named Pumbaa and tries to hunt him and gives chase into the jungle. Just when Nala is about to attack Pumbaa and his meerkat friend Timon, a young lion comes to Pumbaa’s defense and lunges at her. Nala is surprised by the sudden appearance of another lion, and is tackled to the ground by him and briefly held down before she manages to break free and the two engaged in a brief fight. Nala eventually wins the fight when she is able to flip and pin down the lion, and as she holds him down she glares down at him, practically nose to nose with him, while growling dangerously at him and he looks up helplessly at her. However, the lion says her name, which surprises Nala and makes her get off him, and asks who he is. The lion says he is Simba, which surprises Nala (as she had believed him to have died in the stampede) and is introduced to Timon and Pumbaa who are Simba’s friends and thinks that as Simba is alive, he is the king. As the two of them are left alone, Nala expresses how much she missed Simba and nuzzles against him affectionately, with him nuzzling her back.
The two go into the jungle and soon fall in love. While drinking from an oasis together, Nala notices Simba smiling at her slyly before running off, soon returning swinging on a vine and splashing into the water. As Nala looks over, trying to find him, he emerges directly under her, surprising her by grabbing her around the neck and pulling her in with him. Nala quickly emerges, gasping for air, and immediately gets out, soaking wet and terrified. When Simba comes out next to her though, with a goofy smile and his waterlogged mane covering his face, Nala smirks at him in amusement over his prank and ridiculous appearance, before playfully shoving him back in as revenge and running off. Simba quickly gets out and playfully chases after Nala, with the two running across an open field together before running back into the jungle. Nala lets Simba catch up to her and the two begin to play fight like when they were cubs, standing on two legs and grappling each other happily. While grappling though, Nala trips and falls backwards with Simba on top of her and the two roll down a hill together, holding on to each other as they tumbled on top of each other on their way down. As they reach the bottom though, Simba lands on top of Nala, winning their playful wrestling match and pinning her for the first time in his life. As Simba is chuckling to himself in amusement over finally «beating» Nala, Nala surprises him by giving him an affectionate lick on the cheek as a reward for finally successful pinning her. Simba looks down at her in shock at this, but she just smiles and stares up at him seductively as he lays on top of her, with Simba quickly understanding Nala and smiling back, before they both lean in while staring at each other and hug, embracing their new love as they nuzzle. But despite their love for each other, not long afterwards they get into an argument as Simba does not wish to return to the Pride Lands (due to thinking that he caused Mufasa’s death).
The next day, Nala comes to Timon and Pumbaa asking if they have seen Simba just before Rafiki arrives and tells them that the king has returned, making Nala realize that Simba has gone to reclaim the throne from Scar. Nala along with Timon and Pumbaa follow Simba back to the Pride Lands and vow to help him defeat Scar. Whilst Timon and Pumbaa distract the hyenas, Simba asks Nala to rally the lionesses while he looks for Scar. After gathering the lionesses, Nala along with Sarabi are shocked when Simba claims that he caused Mufasa’s death; but afterwards, Scar admits that he, not Simba, killed Mufasa, causing a battle between the lionesses and hyenas whilst Simba battles Scar and throws him over the edge (similar to Nala).
After Scar’s death, Simba becomes king and Nala becomes queen. Months later, the two watch as Rafiki presents their cub to the animals of the Pride Lands.
The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride
Months later, Simba and Nala (now fully-grown adults) have a daughter named Kiara whom Simba becomes very protective of. When Kiara grows into a young cub and goes off to explore the Pride Lands after being warned to stay away from the Outlands (home of the Outsiders, a pride of lions banished by Simba for being loyal to Scar). Nala assures Simba that she will be fine and goes inside, but Simba goes against her advice and sends Timon and Pumbaa to keep an eye on Kiara.
Later that day, Nala along with Timon, Pumbaa, and some of the pride’s lionesses, join Simba when he goes to find Kiara after she wondered off and finds her at the border between the Pride Lands and the Outlands with a cub named Kovu and watches Simba face off with Kovu’s mother Zira (who is the leader of the Outsiders and Scar’s wife). After telling Zira to take Kovu and leave, Simba picks up Kiara and leaves with Nala, Timon, Pumbaa and the lionesses. After returning to the Pride Lands, Nala goes with the others back to Pride Rock after noticing that Simba wishes to stay behind to have a word with Kiara.
A few years later, Nala along with Simba, see Kiara (now a young adult) off on her first hunt. But like before, Simba sends Timon and Pumbaa to watch her (despite promising Kiara to let her hunt alone). Later, Nala along with Simba go and look for Kiara after Simba saw a fire near where Kiara was hunting (which was started by Zira’s other children Nuka and Vitani). They find her alive and well with another lion whom Kiara reveals to be Kovu who asks to join the Pridelander pride, claiming that he left the Outsiders and is now a rogue (when in fact, he is following Zira’s plan to earn Simba’s trust so Kovu can kill him and take over as king to avenge Scar’s death). Simba is at first reluctant, but Nala reminds him that he owes Kovu Kiara’s life and Zazu confirms this, saying depts must be paid. Simba allows Kovu into the pride, but has him sleep outside Pride Rock.
The following night, Nala finds Simba watching Kiara and Kovu stargazing and says to him that he wants so much to walk the path expected of him and perhaps Kovu does not and encourages Simba to give Kovu a chance before the two leave together to leave their daughter and her friend be.
The next day, Nala is seen at Pride Rock with Kiara and an injured Simba after he was ambushed by Zira and the Outsiders. She and Kiara then witness Simba confront Kovu, after thinking he was part of the ambush and then banishes him from the Pride Lands. While Nala looks on shocked at Simba’s decision, Kiara runs forward and tries to put a stop to the exile, but is stopped by some of the lionesses (who unlike Nala and Kiara, have taken Simba’s side and believe Kovu to be evil). Nala is not present with the other lionesses when Kiara confronts Simba before going into Pride Rock in tears, after telling Simba he will never be Mufasa, before leaving to find Kovu (perhaps going to another part of Pride Rock to leave them be, believing it was not her place to interfere).
Later that night, Nala joins Simba, Timon, Pumbaa, and the rest of the pride when they battle Zira and the Outsiders, where Nala battles and easily defeats Vitani. Just then, Kiara and Kovu arrive and put a stop to the battle and Kiara convinces Vitani and the other Outsiders to rejoin the Pridelanders. However, Zira (still wishing to avenge Scar) says she will never let go of the past when Simba tries to reason with her. She tries to attack Simba, but is knocked off the cliff they are on by Kiara and they fall down the cliff. Nala watches on as Simba climbs down the cliff to reach Kiara and warns him of the fast flowing river below them. After Simba manages to get Kiara (who tried and failed to save Zira) back up the cliff, a relieved Nala hugs her daughter.
Upon returning to Pride Rock, the reunited pride watch, Simba, Nala, and the now-married Kiara and Kovu roar in triumph.

Contents
Biography
Catwoman is often depicted in graphic novels as a cat burglar with an arsenal of exceptional combat skills, ranging from martial arts to basic hand-in-hand combat. When Catwoman peculates, she does not harm pedestrians nor bystanders, although she will defend herself when either the victim of thievery, or Batman, catches her.
Her reasons for committing amoral acts of stealing can vary. Catwoman is an orphan; therefore it was very difficult for her to survive in a hostile community such as Gotham City. Even when she was a young girl, there was evidence that she was a kleptomaniac. The only way to thrive in an environment such as this would be for her to resort to thievery and the latter. However, she was convinced to do it in style. Later on, Wildcat, another former antihero within the Batman franchise, would train her in combat.
Catwoman and Batman are famous for their flirtatious conversations, sometimes even turning legitimately romantic (Hush, 2002-2003). Even when Catwoman is on the chase, she and Batman share a unique ‘cat-and-mouse’ style of chemistry. Batman himself is fully aware of Catwoman’s interest in him, and he also acknowledges his own affectionate feelings towards her. However, his loyalty to the law prevents a romantic relationship between them to prevail.
Catwoman is not the only love interest Batman has. He has also shown interest in Talia Al Ghul, Wonder Woman, Black Canary, and more. In recent years, Zatanna has also shown interest in Batman as well.
Animated Series
Catwoman appears in nearly every form of media that Batman is in. She’s been a recurring character in the 1960s Batman TV series as well as the various cartoons. In each of these incarnations, she’s typically depicted as a villain.
Batman: The Animated Series
Selina Kyle is one of the reccuring characters of the series and is a major love interest for Bruce Wayne/Batman.
The Batman
Selina Kyle appears as Catwoman and a reccuring character of the series. She is also a potential love interest for Bruce Wayne/Batman, but prefers Bruce Wayne’s alter-ego, Batman seeing they are both similar to each other despite being on opposite sides of the law.
Movies
Batman Returns
Selina Kyle played by Michelle Pfieffer
Selina Kyle appears in Batman Returns. She started out as a timid secretary who came across some documents that would discredit her boss Max Shreck, so he pushed her out a window. Selina survived thanks to some supernatural power bestowed upon her by a group of stray cats. When she awakens, she reinvents herself as Catwoman.
Catwoman terrorises Gotham, coming up against Batman. The two develop a budding attraction to each other both in costume and in broad daylight. When Bruce and Selina converse at a masquerade ball, they figure out each others’ identities. Catwoman seeks revenge against Shreck, only for Batman to beg her to stop. Catwoman pushes him away and seemingly kills herself along with Shreck. Its later revealed that she survived.
The Dark Knight Rises
Batman: Gotham By Gaslight
Selina Kyle is the deuteragonist of the film and main love interest of Batman/Bruce Wayne. Unlike her previous incarnations, Selina is not a villain as she instead wishes to find and stop Jack the Ripper from killing innocent young girls and is willing to stand up and speak for women’s rights.
Love Rivals
Talia Al Ghul
Talia has always shown some hostility towards Selina, believing that the world’s greatest detective deserves better than some common thief. After Bruce was presumed dead, the two were able to put aside their differences for awhile in order to combat Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, but both women soon went back to being enemies. Sometime after her father died, Talia became a full-fledged villain while Selina was welcomed into the Bat-Family.
The Joker
The Joker’s obsession with Batman can sometimes manifest as a twisted attraction. When he declares war on Batman’s allies, he also targets Catwoman, stating that her transition from enemy to ally has made Batman soft, while the Joker’s consistent villainy keeps him on his toes. In one future, Selina is the one who finally kills The Joker shortly after her husband Bruce’s death
Katara
Katara is the love interest of Aang in the show Avatar: The Last Airbender.
A 14-year-old (and last) waterbender of the Southern Water Tribe as the others had been captured or killed. She, at first, just sees Aang as a friend, but eventually reciprocates his feelings.
Biography
Born into the diminished Southern Water Tribe to Hakoda and Kya, Katara faced the reality of her tribe’s dwindling strength from an early age. At the time of her birth, forty-five years of repeated Fire Nation invasions intended to capture and imprison the tribe’s waterbenders had left them devoid of benders. The tribe’s defenses would have crumbled under the might of the Fire Nation. However, due to their relative inaccessibility in the South Pole, and the perception they were a non-threat, they were mostly left alone. However, when Katara was a young girl, the Fire Nation again raided the village when charged by Fire Lord Azulon to find and dispose of the last remaining waterbender in the tribe. During the battle, the leader of the raid Yon Rha confronted Katara’s mother, who was taking refuge in the family’s igloo. Seeking shelter with her mother, Katara ran back to her home and interrupted their exchange. Realizing the intentions of Yon Rha, who had demanded Kya tell him the identity of the waterbender, Kya insisted Katara leave, and gave herself up as the last waterbender, lying to protect her daughter. Katara ran to fetch her father, Hakoda, but by the time they returned, Yon Rha had left, and her mother had been killed. The death of their mother had a profound impact on both Katara and Sokka.
Living in a tribe consisting almost entirely of women, children, and the elderly, Katara took care of not only her own family but aided others as well. She developed a protective and motherly personality which she would carry with her for the remainder of her life. Even to her own elder brother, Sokka, she was sometimes seen as a maternal figure. Much later, Katara overheard Sokka admitting to being unable to picture his mother, whose image had been replaced by Katara’s. Katara displayed deep affection for those she traveled with, as well as being fiercely protective whenever danger threatened their safety. The inner strength she had developed in the absence of parental figures aided her in keeping Aang and their friends together through their most difficult experiences. With the absence of a mother figure in the family, Katara soon found herself filling the role left behind by Kya. Katara began to take on many of the domestic responsibilities expected of women of the Southern Water Tribe, despite her young age. Several years later, her father, Chief Hakoda, left to fight in the Hundred Year War with the rest of the men of the Southern Water Tribe. Katara and Sokka were left in the care of their grandmother, Kanna. Though Kanna loved the two and cared deeply for them, Katara was left feeling traumatized and alone.
As the crisis in Yu Dao reached a boiling point, with Earth King Kuei threatening all-out war against the Fire Nation, the couple traveled to the colony in an attempt to evacuate its residents from the incoming dual invasion. Following their trip to Ba Sing Se, Katara revealed to Aang that she no longer supported the Harmony Restoration Movement as she thought about their potential future mixed bloodline, much like the current Morishita family. Confused over what that could mean for them specifically, Katara encouraged Aang to isolate himself from the active battle and think about what forced separation of the nations would mean. While Toph and Sokka questioned the Avatar’s decision to leave, Katara declared her trust in him to make the right decision.
After Aang returned, he engaged the Avatar State and opened a fissure in the ground, which nearly caused Zuko to plummet below and die. After Aang saved the Fire Lord and got out of the state, Katara rushed over and hugged him. After the crisis ended, she smiled as she watched Aang train the Official Avatar Aang Fan Club to become the new Air Acolytes.

The Beast is voiced by Robby Benson in all of his movies and video appearances as well as the Kingdom Hearts series.

Background
Physical Appearance & Personality
In the original tale, the Beast is seen wanting to be kind-hearted for the most part, and gentleman-like, with only an occasional tendency to be hot-tempered. In Disney’s variant of the tale, the Beast originally appeared to be constantly angry, pessimistic and spoiled. As opposed to his original counterpart, the creators gave him a more primal nature to his personality, which truly exploited his character as an untamed animal.
To reflect his early personality in the movie, the Beast is seen shirtless, with ragged, dark gray breeches, and a ragged reddish-colored cape with a golden colored circular-shaped clasp. Despite the actual color of his cape being a dark wine red color, The Beast’s cape is more often referenced to be purple. The reason for this change in color is unknown, although the most likely reason is because the color purple is often associated with royalty. After the Beast saves Belle from a pack of wolves, his dress style changes, reflecting a more refined personality. His dress style becomes more disciplined, and the most referenced form of dress is his ballroom outfit, which consisted of a golden vest over a white dress shirt with a white kerchief, black dress pants trimmed with gold, and a navy blue ballroom tail coat trimmed with gold, worn during the film’s ballroom dance sequence. Upon his reform under his love interest Belle, his personality changes to refined, but naive about the world at the same time.
Supervising animator Glen Keane describes the Beast as «a twenty-one-year-old guy who’s insecure, wants to be loved, wants to love, but has this ugly exterior and has to overcome this.»
According to the commentary from producer Don Hahn, the spell is not just physical but psychological as well. The longer the Beast is under the spell, the more feral he becomes. If Belle had never arrived at the castle, he would’ve eventually stopped speaking, stopped wearing clothing altogether, and would’ve gone to live in the woods. His primary source of food comes from hunting. This also explains the appearance of the West Wing and why he seems to have lost most of his ability to read and use eating utensils.
Design
Chris Sanders is responsible for helping come up with the design of the Beast. He went from insect forms, avian forms and fish forms until he finally got the right design. The Beast is not of any one species of animal, but a chimera, a mixture of several animals. He has the head structure and horns of a buffalo, the arms and body of a bear, the eyebrows of a gorilla, the jaws, teeth, and mane of a lion, the tusks of a wild boar and the legs and tail of a wolf. He also bears resemblance to mythical monsters like the Minotaur or a werewolf. In the original versions, he was described more like a cross between a lion and a mythical animal. He also has blue eyes, the one physical feature that does not change whether he is a beast or a human.
Appearances
Beauty and the Beast
The unnamed prince was a handsome young prince, albeit selfish and spoiled, who lived in a luxurious castle in France and had everything he wanted. One night, on Christmas Eve, his kindness was put to the test when a beggar woman came to the castle and pleaded for shelter from the freezing cold and rain, with a single rose as payment. Repulsed by her appearance, he sneered at the simple but beautiful gift. The woman begs again, and he still refuses. When he shuns the beggar woman for her repulsive appearance again, her ugliness melts away and then reveals her true form as a beautiful and powerful Enchantress.
Seeing her beauty and realizing her power, the Prince tries to apologize. But it is too late, for she has seen in her disguise that there was no love in his heart. As punishment for his cold heart, she turns him into a terrifying beast. She also casts a ghastly curse on the entire castle, transforming it into a dark, foreboding place, its lush green grounds into dark, misty woods, and the good-natured servants into anthropomorphic household objects to reflect their different personalities. Ashamed of his new appearance, the Beast conceals himself inside his castle with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world.
The rose the Enchantress had given him was enchanted and it would bloom until his 21st year. She had told him that if he could learn to love another and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken, but if he failed, he would remain a beast forever.
Years later, when Beast locks Maurice, an old man in the tower as a prisoner for trespassing (not knowing or caring that Maurice was actually allowed inside by the servants for shelter), his daughter, Belle, confronts Beast and pleads with him to let her father go, offering herself as a prisoner instead. The Beast accepts, under the further condition that she remains in the castle forever. He further warns Belle not to go into his chamber, the West Wing. However, she does later on out of curiosity, much to Beast’s fury.
Beast later comes to appreciate Belle when she tends to his wounds after he saves her from the wolves, and strikes up a friendship with her. She then teaches him to become more civilized. Eventually, he falls in love with her, and placing her happiness before his own, he releases her to tend to her sick father (and to make up for his harsh treatment of him).
A lynch mob comes to kill the Beast, led by a rival suitor named Gaston. Gaston eventually finds Beast, and initially, Beast has no will to fight, still in a state of depression from Belle leaving. Just as Gaston is about to lay the finishing blow, Belle returns, calling for Gaston to stop. Upon hearing Belle’s voice, he suddenly stands and fights back with a renewed vigor in knowledge that Belle truly does love him. As the fight continued, Gaston continued to blather about his superficial beliefs that he is Belle’s true love, and the Beast is nothing more than a monster whom Belle would never love. Having had it with Gaston’s arrogance, Beast overpowers him and holds him by the throat over the edge of the castle. Gaston finally drops his pride and begs for mercy, to which Beast initially ignores, but upon realizing that he was turning into everything that represents Gaston himself, instead allows him to walk away, warning him to leave the castle and never return. Reuniting with Belle, he happily embraces her, but is then stabbed in the side by Gaston, who then loses his balance and falls off the castle to his death.
The Beast’s true form, Prince Adam
Belle comes to tend to the Beast’s wounds and tries to reassure him that everything’s going to be fine, but he knows all too well that his time is coming, telling her that he was happy to have a chance at seeing her one last time before succumbing to his wounds. Upon losing him, Belle begs him not to go and cries, admitting that she loves him. Just after the last petal falls from the enchanted rose, shining beams of light falls onto the Beast. The Beast’s body floats in the air and becomes enshrouded by fog as he begins to transform: his fore-paws, hind-paws, and furry head respectively turn back into hands, feet, and a head of the Prince. He then gets up, looks at himself, and turns to Belle, who initially looks at him skeptically before recognizing him by his blue eyes. The Prince and Belle share their first kiss, a kiss of true love, that further breaks additional spell placed on the castle and its inhabitants: the castle is restored to its original, shining state, and all the Prince’s servants, including Lumiere, Cogsworth, and Mrs. Potts, are transformed back into human. The next day, a ball is held to celebrate their victory.
Aladdin
The Beast makes a cameo appearance in Aladdin as one of the Sultan’s toys.
Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas
Unknown to Beast, Belle writes him a special book which he doesn’t see until later on. She also meets Forte later on in a chance meeting. Forte tells her that Beast’s favorite Christmas tradition when he was a child. was the Christmas tree. Belle becomes frustrated, for no tree she has seen on the grounds has been tall enough to hang ornaments. Forte lies to Belle, saying that a perfect tree can be found in the woods beyond the castle. Reluctant to go against Beast’s orders that she never leave the castle, Belle leaves nonetheless in order to find the perfect tree. When Belle does not arrive to see Beast’s Christmas present to her, he begins to suspect that she isn’t there at all. When Mrs. Potts explains that the household cannot find her, Beast becomes enraged. He goes to Forte to ask for advice, and Forte lies to him that Belle has abandoned him. Beast confronts Belle in the woods and saves her in time from drowning, since she fell through thin ice.
Still believing that Belle disobeyed him by leaving the grounds, Beast throws her into the dungeon. But when Forte goads him into destroying the rose to end his suffering, Beast finds Belle’s book in the West Wing and reads it, coming to his senses and realizing that all Belle wants is for him to be happy. Releasing Belle from the dungeon, Beast prepares to join in the Christmas festivities. But Forte doesn’t give up and even goes as far as to attempt to destroy the entire castle with Beethoven’s 5th. Fortunately, Beast finds him in time and destroys his keyboard with Franz Schubert’s Symphony No 8. Losing his balance (and his pipes), Forte falls from the wall he is leaned up against and is silenced forever. Despite his intentions, Beast mourns Forte’s death with Belle comforting him. When the whole castle is turned back into humans, the Prince and Belle give Chip, Mrs. Potts’ son, a book to read, which he loves. As the Prince and Belle come out to the balcony, he gives her something too: a rose.
Belle’s Magical World
In the final entry of the franchise, made up of four segments from a presumably failed television series, Belle teaches the Beast a thing or two about life itself, consideration and manners. He appears only in the first and fourth segments, and in a cameo in the third. In the first part, The Perfect Word, Beast and Belle have a bitter falling out at dinner when the Beast demands that Cogsworth open the windows to cool him down, despite the fact that he is the only one hot and there is a cold wind, and angrily strikes his servant, Webster, a long-tongued dictionary. Despite Lumière and Cogsworth’s please, Beast refuses to apologize for his behavior, until Webster, Crane and LePlume forge a letter of apology from the Beast to Belle. All is settled, until the Beast realizes that it was a forgery. He furiously banishes Webster, Crane and LePlume from the castle, but Belle brings them back from the woods, and the Beast soon learns to forgive them, as their intentions were good.
In the fourth part, The Broken Wing, the Beast loses his temper with Belle again when she brings an injured bird into the castle, as he dislikes birds. As he tries to chase the bird out, however, he falls over on the stairs and hits his head hard, knocking him unconscious and later stripping him of his hatred for birds. However, his selfishness still remains, and he locks the bird in a cage in his room, demanding that it sings for him whenever he demands it. The bird, terrified, refuses, until Belle teaches the Beast that the bird will only sing when happy. The Beast lets the bird out, and learns to consider others before himself.
Earlier on, in the third segment, Mrs. Potts’ Party, the Beast makes several cameos sleeping in his bed in the West Wing. Dialogue between Lumière and Cogsworth shows that he had spent the entire previous night mending leaks in the castle roof, and is still resting. An argument between Lumière and Cogsworth about Mrs. Potts’ favorite flowers lead to them having to hide several bunches of flowers around the Beast’s bed. At one point, the Beast begins to smell one of the flowers and almost wakes up, but it is removed just in time, and he falls asleep again.
House of Mouse
Beast made recurring cameo appearances in the animated series House of Mouse, again voiced by Benson. One of Beast’s most notable appearances is where The Angry Villagers perform the song Let’s Slay the Beast. After the performance ended, Beast (hiding under a table) asks Belle if it’s over. In «Not So Goofy», the Beast was seen struggling to scratch his back until Goofy arrived and scratched it for him. In «The Stolen Cartoons», the Beast turning from his human to beast form was used as a visual reference when Daisy noticed the crowd getting ugly. The Beast was also a secondary guest character in the film Mickey’s Magical Christmas as well as Mickey’s House of Villains where Donald Duck tries to scare him but he scares him back.
Lilo & Stitch
The Beast and Belle were featured in one of the Disney parody trailers for the film. Here, Beast and Belle are having their famous ballroom dance when Stitch was seen above on the chandelier when it suddenly plummets to the ground. The Beast is left looking confused as Belle storms to her room enraged.
The Lion King 1½
The Beast made a cameo appearance at the end of the film in the form of a silhouette alongside Belle and several other Disney characters.
Love Rivals
Gaston
The main antagonist of the film who had an obsessive crush on Belle, although Gaston only cared about Belle for her beauty, believing her to be the best choice for him as a wife purely because she was the most beautiful woman in the village that they lived in. Gaston is basically the polar opposite to the Beast: while Gaston is physically handsome, he’s a total jerk and has no inner beauty while the Beast, who’s obviously not physically handsome, has inner beauty and genuinely cares about Belle for more than just her looks (although the Beast was obviously amazed at how beautiful Belle was). Despite being Gaston’s obviously bad qualities, he wasn’t truly evil in the beginning, as he started off as narcissistic but harmless, but after he tried blackmailing Belle into marrying by threatening to have her father locked up in the local insane asylum (as nobody in town believed him about the Beast’s existence), she still refused to marry him, which finally makes Gaston snap. Belle proved to the villagers that her father was telling truth by using the magic mirror the Beast gave her to show everyone he’s real.
As Belle starts telling the villagers about the Beast, Gaston realizes that Belle has feelings for the Beast. Playing on the fear of the other villagers, Gaston makes them think that the Beast is vicious, man-eating monster and rallies them to form a lynch mob to go and kill the Beast (he also locks Belle and her father in their basement so they stop can’t stop him, but they manage to escape thanks to Chip, who had stowed away in Belle’s bag). During the fight, Gaston continues to taunt the Beast by asking him if he really thought that someone as beautiful as Belle would want to be with someone like the Beast when she had someone like Gaston to be with.
The Beast eventually overpowers Gaston in the fight, and is prepared to kill him, but after seeing Gaston pathetically begging for his life, the Beast regains enough of his humanity to let him go, ordering him to leave. However, when Gaston sees the Beast embracing Belle, his hatred and jealousy arises again, which leads to the hunter’s ultimate downfall. Determined to kill his rival once and for all, Gaston stabs the Beast in the side while dangling precariously from the balcony. The Beast swings him arm backward in pain, causing Gaston to lose his balance and plunge into the deep chasm (presumably to his death).

In order to protect Tiffany, Deeks killed Francis and covered up the murder while giving Tiffany a new identity and life for herself. Later, Deeks became partners with Roger Bates who later went on to become a Lieutenant and they developed a hate-love partnership. However, due to his past with Francis Boyle and overall his personality and differences, Deeks was viewed as an outsider by the police department. Deeks also refuses to speak to even Kensi, despite her best attempts to contact and see him. Eventually, Hetty goes to visit Deeks and questions him if he will be returning to NCIS or if he is leaving the team for good. Hetty needs an answer soon, but Deeks remains unsure of his decision. In order to help Deeks move forward, Hetty brings back Nate to help both Deeks and Sam to resolve and work through their feelings. Deeks goes to see Nate at the boatshade, but finds himself unable to enter and instead goes to the beach. Deeks and Nate share a private talk with Deeks expressing his concerns about himself and fears he maybe going crazy.
Deeks and Kensi parternship has turned into a love story.
However, Nate assures Deeks he is starting to work through his trauma, but needs to sleep in order to help fully recover. Nate soon begins to question Deeks about his relationship with Kensi, pointing out the close partnership/relationship they share and wonders what makes it different compared to Sam and Callen. Deeks’ response to his question is not revealed, although most likely it helps Deeks to realize he will have to once again confront his true feelings for Kensi again someday in the future. Nate reports back to Hetty, informing her Deeks can return to work, but needs some more time to rest and ultimately the decision is up to Deeks to decide if he is ready to return to NCIS. Nate also reveals that Deeks and Kensi have a somewhat complicated, but close relationship and wonder if their closeness is one of the reasons why Deeks hasn’t returned. Later that night, Kensi stops by Deeks’ apartment and after his talk with Nate, Deeks finally sees Kensi again for the first time and allows her into his apartment. Kensi and Deeks enjoy their time together and Deeks finally finds himself getting a goods night’s rest thanks to his reunion with Kensi when she begin describing a movie as he falls asleep. Kensi snuggles next to him and as he falling asleep he whispers It’s a love story, but actually describing his parternship with Kensi.
Deeks resumes his partnership with Kensi.
Eventually, Deeks finally begins to truly recover from his trauma and gathers the courage to finally return to work at NCIS and resumes his place on the team and partnership with Kensi, but is not yet ready to once again confront their romantic feelings for each other. Naturally, Deeks takes it one day at a time and slowly yet surely returns to his fun-loving joking self. Everyone on the team are supportive of Deeks returning to work, but Callen does tough love wanting Deeks to return if he is truly ready. Gradually as the season progresses, Deeks manages to move on from his traumatic experience and accept what happened.
Deeks & Kensi Face Their Feelings
Deeks and Kensi finally confront their romantic feelings for each other.
Half-way through the season, after an undercover operation at a rehab centre, Deeks is finally ready to once again confront his romantic feelings for Kensi and asks her on a date to a romantic restaurant without her knowledge. Kensi is flattered, but doesn’t believe a relationship between them can work due to Deeks’ poor communication skills. Deeks finally faces his true romantic for Kensi, admitting his desire for them to be together. Shortly after, Kensi and Deeks spend an intimate night together, but the next day find themselves awkward and nervous around each other. Everyone on the team notice their odd change in behaviour and immediately realize what happened between Kensi and Deeks.
Kensi doesn’t believe she and Deeks can be together.
During a mission to recover a thumb drive containing classified information, Kensi is taken hostage by one of the shooters and Deeks is unable shoot the man in fear of endangering Kensi’s life, allowing the shooter to escape and ultimately the mission fails. Kensi is furious to the point where she punches Deeks despite his claim he didn’t have a shot. Returning to OSP, Kensi and Deeks talk about what happened, leading them to discuss the new direction their relationship has taken. Deeks wants to make his relationship with Kensi work, but Kensi doesn’t believe they can find a balance between their partnership or the growing romantic relationship between them. Kensi begins to describe their relationship using a metaphor known as «The Frozen Lake». Kensi reveals despite her wish for them to be together, their hearts and emotions will ultimately comprise missions when they are more concerned for the other’s safety and believe this is the sole reason why they can’t be anything more than partners and friends, seeing Deeks can’t control his emotions and put the mission before her safety. Deeks is hurt and soon they are interrupted by the arrival of Eric and they leave to resume the investigation.
Deeks and Kensi finally make progress on their growing romantic relationship.
When the mission resumes, the team encounters a foreign operative known as a Gurkha named Thapa who is also after the thumb drive. OPS decides to include him for the mission and he partners with Deeks as he is the only person who sees the good in him. Deeks and Thapa begin to bond when Thapa gives him helpful advice about his growing relationship with Kensi, but after another attempt for the thumb drive fails with Thapa escaping with it, Deeks blames himself, but finds a way to redeem himself and recover the thumb drive. Previously Deeks informed Thapa of a woman who specialises with fake identification and realising Thapa is taking his advice, decides to resume a former undercover identity to find Thapa and retrieve the thumb drive. Kensi doesn’t approve of the plan and offers Deeks her father’s knife to protect him.
Deeks learns of Kensi’s departure, leaving him disappointed and heartbroken.
In the end the mission is successful with Thapa rescued and the thumb drive recovered. Before leaving to accompany Thapa to the hospital, Kensi having realized her mistake, assures Deeks they will figure out their relationship, leaving Deeks happy that he and Kensi are finally confronting their true feelings once and for all. However, when Deeks returns from the hospital he is heartbroken to learn Kensi is gone and has been reassigned for a classified mission indefinitely, forcing him and Kensi to once again put their impending romantic relationship on hold.
Separation from Kensi
Deeks and Kensi miss each other.
Since Kensi’s departure, Deeks greatly misses her and feels lonely without her by his side, including feeling like a third wheel since everyone has their own partner. Deeks is further upset he is unable to acquire information about where Kensi is or if she is alright. Hetty requests a meeting with him and Deeks confronts her about Kensi’s situation, believing the reason about her reassignment is because of his and Kensi’s relationship and offers to leave NCIS if it will bring Kensi back. Hetty sees how much Deeks cares for Kensi and wishes for her return, but doesn’t grant his request. Deeks continues to miss Kensi and looks at various pictures of them together in order to ease the pain of missing her. In return, Kensi feels the same way, finding herself missing Deeks very much and looks at pictures of them together on her phone. During the Christmas holidays in order to further help Kensi and Deeks with their separation, Hetty provides them both a special Christmas present; a phone allowing them to communicate whenever they miss each other, much to Deeks and Kensi’s shock, delight and happiness.
Deeks continues to miss Kensi throughout the season, but regains a bit of hoping of seeing her again when the team briefly reunites with Kensi and Granger to work on stoping a bombing for a special ceremony when families of native countries become official citizens of the United States. Deeks and Kensi are excited, but both are disappointed when they miss their chances to see each other due to their respective duties, but still find a way to help ease the separation. At one point when Granger returns from Afghanistan for a brief period of time, Deeks tries to convince him to come along back to Afghanistan in attempts to reunite and see Kensi again, but to no avail. Since Kensi’s departure, Deeks begins to work alone, but find himself partnering up with Nell and Nate on separate occasions. During the season, Deeks meets and briefly works together with DEA Agent Talia Del Campo and despite a rocky upstart, they develop a strong connection and ultimately make a good team.
Mission to Afghanistan
Deeks soon begins to grow more worried about Kensi when he is unable to get in contact with her. Eventually, Deeks and the team are brief by Nell, revealing they assigned to go to Afghanistan to rescue Kensi when she has suddenly disappeared. However, before leaving Hetty privately speaks with Sam about Deeks. Due to his personal relationship and romantic feelings for Kensi, Hetty orders Sam if necessary, Deeks must be separated from the mission in order to ensure Kensi’s safe return and to not let Deeks’ emotions get in the way of the finding and retrieving Kensi when they encounter danger.
During the mission to rescue Kensi, the team finally learn the truth about her assignment. Kensi was sent to Afghanistan to assassinate a mysterious person known as The White Ghost who is said to have connections with a dangerous group, Taliban. It’s revealed the White Ghost never existed and instead it was a cover for the CIA to kill Jack Simone a former marine who previously worked for them and used to get important information. However, since Jack had knowledge of classified intel on the CIA and refused to return to the United States, the CIA created the fake identity of The White Ghost and a joint task force with NCIS to kill him to secure CIA knowledge while NCIS was under the ruse of killing Jack due to his supposed connections with the Taliban terrorist group. Knowing Jack in the past, Hetty sent Kensi to try and help Jack escape the CIA’s grasp on him and survive without Kensi’s knowledge as previously 10 years prior, Kensi and Jack were engaged, but broke up when Jack suffered from PTSD and converted to Islam.
The End of the Beginning
Eventually, Kensi finally returns to work at NCIS, but doesn’t immediately resume her partnership with Deeks as Hetty is still concerned about her emotional and physical well being after being torture and meeting Jack again for the first time in years. Hetty decides to keep Kensi and Deeks apart for a little longer and makes Kensi work with Eric in the operation centre to make sure she is truly ready to return to work in the field. Deeks finds himself working together with Nell once again and while he doesn’t have a problem working together with Nell, he strongly wishes to resume his partnership with Kensi after being apart for months and confronts Hetty about the situation. Deeks questions is there more to the situation than what Kensi experienced in Afghanistan, but Hetty doesn’t answer his question. Eventually, Kensi manages to prove herself to Hetty and Deeks is happy to have Kensi and their partnership back.
Deeks begins to reconsider his and Kensi’s potential romantic relationship.
Finally after Kensi has managed to recover and fully resume her place on the team, Kensi and Deeks once again confront their romantic feelings for each other. Deeks attempts to ask Kensi on a date, but find themselves interrogating Angelo, a possibly rouge NCIS Agent and may have turned to the dark side. Kensi and Deeks are sent to interrogate Agent Angelo, but find themselves having difficulty with him and he attempts to manipulate them using their relationship, realizing the romantic feelings they have for each other and tries to convince them their relationship will not work. While Kensi doesn’t let him affect her, Deeks does become affected by Angelo and his thoughts and beliefs about his and Kensi’s relationship. Deeks starts to reconsider his and Kensi’s relationship due to their jobs at NCIS, knowing that agents can’t become romantically involve knowing if the relationship ends badly it will affect them and their capabilities.
Deeks and Kensi remain friends. for now.
Ultimately after interrogating Angelo, Deeks becomes unsure about his and Kensi’s relationship and rethinks after everything they’ve been through together this past season, especially their separation and nearly losing one another on different occasions. Deeks symbolises his uncertainty about his and Kensi being together and returns Kensi’s knife she gave him before she left for Afghanistan, indicating he may not be ready after all for them to be truly together and needs more time. Deeks underwent the alias of Jason Wyver and Kensi played the role of the victim’s girlfriend. Since their first meeting, both Kensi and Deeks were suspicious of each other. Kensi was sceptical of Deeks and his hostility during their first meeting and throughout the investigation her suspicion of him remained. In return Deeks was suspicious of Kensi, having been undercover for months, he realized she was faking her identity and relationship with the victim. Eventually, Kensi and Deeks would meet again when Deeks found Kensi snopping in the victim’s home. Their suspicions of each other increased as Kensi noticed his weapon and Deeks confronted Kensi of her true identity, calling her out on her fake relationship with the victim.
In the second season premiere after the conclusion of his long-term undercover operation, Kensi and Deeks finally become official partners. Kensi and Deeks begin to develop a friendship between and are known to bicker since they are opposites with Deeks being easy-going jokester and Kensi being strict and hard to open up about her feelings and emotions. Deeks has a tendacy to make jokes that Kensi finds annoying and inappropriate and occasionally hits Deeks or twists his arm to teach him a lesson. Deeks is soon recognised as the target of Kensi and the team’s playful teasing towards him, but doesn’t always bother him and instead he joins in the fun.
Gradually throughout the second and third seasons, Kensi and Deeks find themselves developing a strong parternship, working well together and finding they balance each other. Overall, despite Deeks and Kensi’s bickering and Kensi poking fun at Deeks at times, both care very deeply for each other and would trust each other with their lives. Eventually, Kensi and Deeks relationship further grows when slowly yet surely, they both begin to develop romantic feelings for each other, but attempt to hide and ignore their feelings, focusing on the job at hand. Despite Kensi and Deeks trying to ignore their feelings, there have been a few rare occasion when they both acknowledge there is something more between them. However, they don’t further confront their feelings or relationship, possibly to nervous and not wanting others to question their parternship and capabilities due to their feelings and close relationship. Kensi and Deeks continue to try and ignore their feelings and focus on their work, but find themselves on several occasions becoming jealous when the other shows romantic interest for other people. By the end of the third season, Kensi and Deeks’ romantic feelings further grow and they become closer when they go undercover as a married couple, resulting in them sharing their first kiss.

Deeks teases Kensi about the subject of marriage and possibly having children until they are interrupted by Nell and get ready for a new mission. Kensi and Deeks begin working together with CIA Officers, Sabatino and Snyder to lure out Russian criminal, Isaak Sidorov. During this time, both agents confront Kensi and Deeks about their relationship, realising their is something more between them, but both deny their feelings. Before the conclusion of the episode, Deeks answers one of the questions from the magazine and reveals Kensi smells like «Sunshine and Gunpowder», two of his favourite things.

Kensi is awestruck and rides off not commenting on the kiss.
In the fifth season, Kensi and Deeks finally begin to truly confront the romantic feelings they’ve tried to hide and ignore, but find themselves facing obstacles and challenges every time they attempt to confront their true feelings and try to begin a romantic relationship. In the beginning of the season, Sam and Deeks are rescued, but both are left severely traumatised by their torture, especially Deeks in particular. Ultimately, Deeks decides to take a temporary leave of NCIS to work through his trauma and emotions, leaving his relationship with Kensi unsure. Since then, Deeks has been avoiding Kensi to deal with his trauma despite Kensi’s attempts to see and call him. Eventually after a talk with Nate, Deeks finally allows Kensi into his apartment and sees her again for the first time since his temporary leave. Thanks to his and Kensi’s reunion, Deeks is finally beginning to take the first step to help him move forward from his traumatic experience.
Deeks later returns to work for NCIS and resumes his partnership with Kensi, but Deeks and Kensi are not ready to once again confront their true feelings for each other and instead they resume their resume their friendship/partnership. Eventually, once Deeks has fully managed to recover and move on from his traumatic experience, Deeks and Kensi finally begin to confront and come to terms with their true feelings again, resulting in them spending the night together. The following day, Kensi and Deeks finds themselves nervous and awkward around each other, unsure of the new direction of their relationship and soon find themselves calling their partnership into question when Deeks refuses to shoot an armed man when Kensi is caught in a hostage situation.
Kensi reveals her beliefs they can’t be romantically together, believing despite their wish more than anything to be together, their emotions will cloud their judgement on cases, putting their feelings for each other above the mission. Deeks is heartbroken, but eventually Kensi comes to realize her mistake when she has her own experience when her romantic feelings for Deeks nearly cost the team the mission when she runs into danger to save Deeks, putting the case at risk in the process. Due to this, Kensi realizes she and Deeks can’t simply keep ignoring their feelings, but instead truly need to come to terms and properly confront their feelings for each other. However, Kensi and Deeks are heartbroken when find themselves separated from each other when Kensi is forced to leave the team indefinitely for a secret classified mission to Afghanistan. Contents
Biography
Eureka is a pilot of the Nirvash typeZERO. She treats Nirvash not like a mere machine, but as a living being, with consciousness and feelings. She meets Renton when Nirvash crashes on his house and he falls madly in love with her from the moment he sees her.
It is later revealed that she is actually a Coralian in human form, sent by the Scub Coral to understand and communicate with humans. To learn about humans, she was born with no memories, emotions, and common abilities, so she can have more experiences with humans and develop her own human-like personality.
Personality
Prior to meeting Renton, Eureka had little contact with humans beyond the military. This and her being born with literally no memories or personality, she was blunt, aloof, and unemotional. She initially lacked empathy for others and often misunderstood the actions of everyone around her, due to her lack of knowledge on human nature. The only people she trusted were her adopted children and Holland, but after meeting Renton, she grew to accept the rest of the Gekko crew and developed a good relationship with all of them. Through her relationship with Renton, she started to learn several new emotions from love, hate, jealousy, sadness, and so on. She credits Renton for teaching her the true meaning of life and how to love others. She used to be emotionally dependent on Holland, often letting him make all of her decisions and being unable to do anything that went against his orders, even when she knew he was hurting Renton, whom she was starting to fall in love with. Eventually, she learns a bit of independence and she doesn’t need to rely on Holland for everything, even though she becomes a little dependent on Renton. Despite her lack of knowledge on raising children and feeling it is her responsibility to raise them as atonement for killing their families, Eureka really does love the children and treats them as if they were her own, even though she tends to spoil them. However, for the rest of her life, she is plagued with guilt for her past sins and shame for her own identity as a Coralian. Overtime, she goes from a socially awkward and emotionless girl to a brave, compassionate, and kind young woman who is willing to do anything to protect those dear to her and the planet she comes to love. After becoming a mother, Eureka develops an overprotective and loving attitude towards her son and daughter.
Love Interest
Renton Thurston
Eureka first met Renton when she crashed Nirvash into the Thurston Garage and Renton fell in love with her at first sight. However, due to her lack of knowledge on human emotions and nature, she didn’t reciprocate his feelings at first. Once he joins Gekkostate, Eureka develops a friendship with him, finding herself interested in his amusing and good-hearted personality. Their relationship is nearly broken when they have a severe falling out over Eureka rejecting him out of jealousy towards him for supposedly taking her place as Nirvash’s pilot and blaming him for causing the change, which she deemed as painful, in her. Finding it hopeless to get through to Eureka, Renton left and Eureka didn’t find out until several days later, which left her guilt-ridden and sent her into a deep depression, to the point where all she did was cry and mourn. She later left the ship to find him after concluding she wanted to be with him forever and upon reuniting, she told him he was meant to be with her and he reciprocated her feelings. They began a relationship and Eureka quickly fell in love with Renton. Their relationship becomes serious right away, to the point where they contemplated marriage and having a family despite being 14, and take on roles as parents to the kids. They also take their committed relationship serious by risking their lives to travel past the Great Wall and enter into the Promised Land to find a way to unite the humans and Scub Coral. Renton is the one who suggests his and Eureka’s relationship can serve as an example of the two species living together peacefully. However, due to the efforts of Dewey and the military, Eureka almost sacrificed herself to save the planet from the Limit of Questions until Renton, risking his own life, came to find her and they vowed to stay together no matter what, leading them to share their first and second kiss, and their love is able to activate the Second Summer of Love and save the planet. In the process, their names and a heart were carved into the moon. A year later, Eureka married Renton and they became official adoptive parents to the kids. A few years pass before Eureka has two children with Renton, a son named Ao and a daughter named Amber.
Despite still being truly in love with Renton, their marriage was a sad one, starting with the revelation that human-Coralian hybrid children will die in their trapar-invested world. Their daughter, Amber, dies as an infant and they were forced to give their son, Ao, up by having him raised in an alternate universe. In a series of events, Eureka was separated from Renton before giving birth to Ao and left to raise him as she waited for Renton to find them, and she never gave up on reuniting with him again. They are finally reunited at the end of Eureka Seven: AO but were forced to leave their son as he refused to leave the world he grew up in. Despite everything they’ve been through, Eureka insists she doesn’t regret falling in love with Renton and having children with him.
