Real life mod gta 5
Real life mod gta 5
GTA 5 — Больше реализма (Real Life Mod)
The Elder Scrolls.
Real Life Mod Manager.

Konijima

GTA 5 Real Life Mod for Windows
Play GTA 5 with gritty realism
GTA 5 Real Life Mod is a free-to-use user-created mod for Grand Theft Auto V. This game utility allows players to add various forms of realism into the game, which affects user control and the behavior of AI characters around you. You can force the game into a first-person point-of-view or see your character respond to wounds sustained.
GTA 5 Real Life Mod takes a different approach in applying realism to GTA 5 compared to other, similar mods like GTA Realistic Mod or GTA 5 Realistic Blood and Decals Mod. More than physics and visuals, it alters game mechanics to bring realism to the game.
From weapons to interactions
As far as realism goes, GTA 5 Real Life Mod brings a lot to the large GTA 5 table. By making slight changes, the mod succeeds in adding a more lifelike feel to the game. For example, health regeneration is disabled. Also, when your health drops below 25%, your character starts to slow down and move with custom injury animation. Time also slows down to give that adrenaline rush feel.
Even AI characters are given more common sense in this version. The larger weapon you carry, the farther the cops can spot you and the threat you pose–reflected in the star levels you gain. While you can walk around with a holstered pistol, you now can’t do the same while brandishing an RPG. This actually makes sense as law enforcement elements are more likely to make this distinction in reality.
Still, its approach to realism is more on interactions, and the rest sticks to the original GTA 5 experience. The wounds and bullet physics still remain the same, unlike other mods that create custom textures and decals to simulate more accurate injuries. The same goes for the game physics, such as getting hit by vehicles–giving the sense that an average body is lighter in the game than in real life.
For a more challenging experience
By making your character and the people around you act more naturally, GTA Real Life Mod makes GTA 5 more challenging. From reflecting the damage you’ve sustained by affecting time perception and movement speed to the pedestrians and cops responding to the weapon you currently have equipped, this mod is a great addition to your library together with other “realism mods” for the game.
GAMERS DECIDE
GTA V’s best mods for realistic gameplay.
Released in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V remains one of the top-selling games of all time. Often praised for its stunning visuals, meticulous attention to detail, and massive open world, GTA V also pushed the limits of the seventh generation consoles’ hardware, and despite being one of the eighth generation’s oldest games, still stands among the most impressive games out there. This doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s no room for improvement, though. Below are the best GTA V mods for realism, for when your gaming experience just isn’t realistic enough.
15. Dynamic Hair Growth
Various hairstyles are available for all three playable characters in GTA V, and go long enough without a haircut or a shave and you will notice hair growth. This growth happens at a very slow pace, however, and that’s what this mod is for.
Why Dynamic Hair Growth is fun:
14. Euphoria Ragdoll Overhaul
Ragdoll physics is how video games animate deaths — as in how a character’s body moves in relation to their environment when they die or get injured. This mod improves ragdoll physics in GTA V, so check it out if you’re sick of seeing Michael literally bend over backwards and dislocate approximately 3 joints after merely taking a fall.
Why Euphoria Ragdoll Overhaul is fun:
13. Advanced Fuel Mod
You want realism, sometimes it means adding something that kind of slows down your gaming experience (I’m looking at you, Red Dead Redemption 2). In Grand Theft Auto V, cars technically have infinite fuel, so you never have to worry about your tank getting empty for those long rides from Los Santos to Grapeseed. This mod changes that, and allows for a more realistic driving experience, where you run out of fuel and occasionally have to stop for gas. Yep, you wanted realism, you got it.
Why Advanced Fuel Mod is fun:
12. Premium Deluxe Motorsport
You can drive and own all kinds of vehicles in GTA V, and may procure them via grand theft auto (heh) or buy them with your in-game money. However, vehicles in the game can only be bought via the in-game website with a phone or a computer. The Premium Deluxe Motorsport mod levels up your purchasing experience.
Why Premium Deluxe Motorsport is fun:
11. Better Chases+
With this mod, the way police respond to your character just got a whole lot better. It’s nearly impossible to freeroam in the game and resist the urge to run over a couple peds or maybe knock someone wearing a cap out so you can see their headwear fly off their head, so people who enjoy trying to outrun the police will definitely enjoy this mod.
Why Better Chases+ is fun:
10. Realistic Gun Sounds
Violence and guns are an integral part of any GTA game. In GTA V, however, the sounds firearms produce seem lackluster. This modification provides refined weapon sounds like gunshots and explosions.
Why Realistic Gun Sounds is fun:
9. Improvements in Gore
Speaking of guns and violence, this mod, unlike the previous one, is a visual improvement in the game instead of an auditory one. It’s bad enough you’re going to be shooting a whole lot of people in the game, so why not go the extra mile and make it more disturbing?
Why Improvements in Gore is fun:
8. Realistic Car Damage with Better Deformation Mod
This is a game where damaging and crashing your car is as common as driving itself. This mod is for all those car rides when you’re trying to chase Michael’s stolen boat or when you’re simply trying to get Franklin’s driving stat up by driving against the flow of traffic.
Why Better Deformation Mod is fun:
7. World of Variety
Apart from its main and side missions, Grand Theft Auto V also has various random events in the game like a mugging in an alley or a hitchhiker you can sacrifice to a cult. If that’s still not enough for you, you can spice your gameplay up even further with this mod.
Why World of Variety is fun:
6. Realistic Top Speed and Acceleration Mod
A lot of the cars in Grand Theft Auto V actually drive really slow even at full speed, and this mod is a fix for that.
Why Realistic Top Speed and Acceleration is fun:
5. Open All Interiors
Grand Theft Auto V has no shortage of places to explore, from cityscapes to forests to deserts. Nonetheless, this mod adds to all of that by getting several buildings all over the map to have accessible interiors.
4. Basic Needs
The playable characters of GTA V may all sleep, eat, or drink, but none of that is actually necessary to progress in the game. This mod changes that, and greatly humanizes your characters. They need all that rest and energy after all the shooting, driving, and running they do, anyway.
Why Basic Needs is fun:
3. Real Paramedics Mod
Paramedics were actually useful in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, wherein they actually revived injured pedestrians in the city. Such is not the case in Grand Theft Auto V, and while paramedics can be called via the emergency number on your phone, they don’t actually do anything to mend the injuries of wounded NPCs.
Why Real Paramedics is fun:
2. LA Revo 2.0
The mod likens Los Santos’ in-game details more into its real life equivalent, the bustling city of Los Angeles. There are a lot of stores & establishments in the game that are inaccessible, and brands & advertising in GTA V are often just puns (haha gruppe sechs) and parodies of American consumerism. This mod takes all that and replaces it with real life stores and brands, and while the modded version of the stores & establishments are still inaccessible, it adds a nice environmental touch.
Why LA Revo 2.0 is fun:
1. Natural Vision Evolved
Of course, a list of realism mods just isn’t complete without a graphics upgrade mod. NaturalVision Evolved works extremely well with ray tracing, and introduces changes to the game’s lighting, reflections, ambient colours, textures, etc. It turns the base GTA V game into something that looks like it’s a game about to be released in the future.
Why NaturalVision Evolved is fun:
ГТА 5 мод на реальную жизнь (Real Life Mod)

Real Life Mod — 1.0.2.0

Real Life Mod 2 [BETA 2]
Notes
To everybody, I am alive, I do not do mod for gta 5 anymore. Have lot of work in my personnal life. And this why I didn’t update most of my mods for years. Glad the mods worked for some, sorry for the others who couldn’t get it to work or encountered glitches or crash. Maybe I will mod GTA 6 if it ever come to exist. Take care guys!
Be Wounded:
Disabled Health regeneration, can be re-enabled.
When your Health reach 25% your character slow down and walk with injuries animation, time slow down to 80% and you have this adrenaline rush before you die!
WeaponAreForbidden: Now most of all weapon are forbidden, but the distance cops can see the weapon depend on it’s size and the amount of stars it gives is between 1 to 2 depending the size also. There is a setting to make the cops able to see the weapons you carry. But should only be used with the Pickup mod which let you see the holstered weapons.
OneStarTimeScale: When you are being arrested at 1 star, time slow-down and you can decide to aim with your gun, you will have 8 second of slow motion to kill the coppers.
CarEngineControl: Hold the exit vehicle key a bit longer to stop the engine, otherwise you exit and let the engine running.
FPSOnly: You can force First Person Camera for immersion, you can configure if the camera should be forced for each vehicle type. [On_Foot, On_Bicycle, In_Car, In_Boat, On_MotorBike, In_Plane, In_Helicopter, In_CargoBob]
FPSAimingNoHud: You can disable HUD while aiming, working with sniper overlay too.
OnFootNoRadar: Disable the radar when on foot, the radar will appear once you are fully sitting in a vehicle and the engine’s running.

README.md
July 8, 2022: Due to hostile behavior from Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., owner of Rockstar Games, Inc., I will no longer provide any kind of support or updates for this mod. It’s been an amazing run, with almost 200,000 downloads, my constant technical support to all users for 3 years, and who knows how many additional copies of the game sold for the publisher, all in my free time and donating my personal effort. but Take-Two saw fit to kill it off anyway, along with the comparable gifts that so many other modders made to the player base and thus indirectly to them, because that is the way they operate. Feel free to contact them if you wish to play the game in VR, I’m sure they’ll have an official port coming in the next 20 years or so, and it will have spectacular next-gen graphics 😉
Tired of playing flat games? Check out my latest VR mod for Dark Souls: Remastered, it’s in early access on my Patreon!!
Table of contents
After several experiments, I settled on a solution that I believe is the best compromise between ease of access to the various information fields available on the HUD (such as game hints, ammo, subtitles, and especially the all-important radar) and the necessity in VR to keep the HUD out of the way so that it doesn’t detract from immersion in the game world.
In my implementation, the HUD is semi-transparent, suspended in space about 3 feet in front of your head, and it is:
A notable exception happens when you are aiming, in which case the HUD will become smaller and headlocked, so you’ll always have all the information that you need visible in front of you even when you have to rotate your head quickly to follow enemies.
In the end, if you play sitting on a couch or at your desk, the HUD will always be in front of you, just at the margins of your field of view. If you play in roomscale and you need to turn around, you can reset the HUD position (bringing it again in front of you) anytime you want just by shaking a single no with your head, which will recenter the headset as described in the Recentering your view section below.
Keyboard/mouse, controller, aiming
For my previous VR conversion of No One Lives Forever 2, a game that offered no native gamepad support because it was developed before gamepads became common for gaming PCs, I had to come up with custom bindings for the many controls needed. GTA V is way more advanced in that regard, and it will support basically every kind of controller that you throw at it. I have played every mission and activity from «New game» to 100% completion with all Gold medals, fully in VR, using an Xbox One gamepad. There are no special commands needed for VR, apart from the headshake gesture described below to recenter the headset view. Keyboard and mouse will perhaps feel less immersive (the controller vibration does wonders to make you feel like you’re actually driving on bumpy roads), but they will also allow you to bring the game to completion. Also, many people are having lots of fun using steering wheels with https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/manual-transmission-ikt!!
Oculus Touch controllers (or similar tracked controllers for other systems), however, are NOT supported. There was another mod out there that made them somewhat usable by removing your in-game character’s body, but it’s not something I’m personally interested in doing, for various reasons:
For the same reasons, I went to some effort to implement dominant-eye alignment when rendering the weapon model, so that you can properly aim down the sights as you would in real life. See Advanced tweaking later on for information on how to select your dominant eye (default is the right one).
If this is your first time trying out a mod with head-driven aiming, don’t let yourself be discouraged by detractors: aiming with your gaze becomes completely intuitive in just a few minutes, it can be done equally well if you play standing in roomscale or seated, and it’s way faster and more accurate than aiming with the hand controllers. Again, this is not to say that games built purposely around the Touch system are not fun; they are. However, they do become quite hard on the arms in just a few hours, and as proven by Rockstar’s very own partial port of L.A. Noire, that doesn’t work so well for vast open-world games.
Recentering your view in VR
GTA V has quite a few intense moments; so, especially if you move around a lot in roomscale, you may frequently find yourself needing to recenter the view, in particular to reset the HUD to be in front of your line of sight, or to realign the position tracking with the character model (see also Position tracking below).
You can use the Dash menu by pressing the Oculus button on the controller, or similar overlay menus for other systems; but much more conveniently, you can just briefly shake your head from side to side as if you were saying no. This recentering gesture is always available and recognized, no matter if you’re in a mission, free roaming, in the menus, loading the game, and so on. The movement will become second nature in a short while, and I find it so convenient and have become so accustomed to it that I sometimes catch myself doing it in other games and wondering why it didn’t work 🙂
If you cannot seem to trigger the recentering, follow these instructions:
If you are in a vehicle, and you don’t need to reset the HUD but only to align your character with the direction the vehicle is facing, a convenient shortcut that won’t affect the HUD position is to briefly press the button for looking behind you (defaults to C on the keyboard, or pushing in the right stick on the gamepad).
Release 4 update: Great news for those of you who like to play the story missions in VR: I finally came up with a universal FOV fix that also works in cutscenes! No more in-your-face characters, no more camera zooms, no more world warping when you turn your head!!
In my previous R.E.A.L. mod for the almost forgotten gem that is NOLF2, I was able to offer a lot of options for viewing cutscenes, so they could be enjoyed by all kinds of people, from those who have built sturdy VR legs down to those who immediately get sick as soon as the camera moves.
Edit: This paragraph is no longer very relevant because of the new universal FOV fix, but I’m leaving it here for historical reasons and because it mentions the virtual screen mode, which some people may still want to use. Release 3 of the mod introduced two different viewing modes for cutscenes. I call the first new mode «dynamic stereo». It automatically adapts to the varying camera FOV, so that the old problem where characters in cutscenes were frequently too close to your face for comfort, and looked somewhat flat, is completely eliminated. It also preserves the ability to look around freely, so for most users it should definitely be an improvement, which made me decide to set it as the new default. The only downside is that, when the camera really zooms in, faces will tend to look larger than life, the same as in 3D movies. If even this way of viewing cutscenes is too much for you, please see the Advanced tweaking section below to switch to the second new mode: a static, 2D virtual screen that completely eliminates all issues with motion sickness or vergence, of course at the cost of reduced immersiveness.
Also in Advanced tweaking, you’ll find that there is one option for pitch control that you can modify, and you can even force the FOV, which gets rid of the zoom effect completely but introduces all kinds of artefacts as described in Car wheels in the sky [no longer needed]. In case of panic, just remember that all cutscenes can be skipped after a second or so by pressing A on the controller or the left mouse button.
My advice is, if you tend to get sick during cutscenes, just keep very still and don’t try to follow or to counteract the motion of the camera with your own head. Also, don’t push it: as soon as you start to feel queasy, take a break and don’t try again until you feel completely OK. With these simple tricks, you’ll build your VR legs in no time!
Position tracking, animations, and the player’s body model
With NOLF2 I was able to implement full position tracking because the game provided a way to move the main character model accurately by an arbitrary, precise amount. GTA V does not, or if it does, I couldn’t find out how. However, position tracking is extremely important for immersion: being able to look around obstacles, for example, or doing stuff like leaning forward and looking up at the moon through your windshield when you’re driving around at night, makes the virtual world feel so much more real (R.E.A.L., ha-ha). It makes you feel there. So, position tracking is active by default, although it can be disabled as described in Advanced tweaking.
There’s a caveat though. For the technical reasons that I just mentioned, the offset that you apply to the camera when you move your head in real life does not directly carry over to your character’s head, or body. Actually, if you move around too much while in 1st person, you’ll quickly find out that GTA V’s body model for the player character does not even include a head! Your character’s body ends at the neck with a beheaded stump, and that can be quite disturbing the first few times that you see it. Be advised!
There are also a few circumstances when the game will just take control of the camera, which represents your head, and will make it do whatever it goddamn pleases without heeding your input. That happens for example when you enter a car (as you know, that animation is extra-long if you are committing grand theft auto), when you get thrown from a vehicle, when you slide down a slope, when you roll on the ground, and in other situations of the sort.
All of that can be quite jarring if you haven’t yet fully developed your VR legs. Please follow the advice given in the previous Cutscenes section, and as an even stronger recommendation for in-game animations, don’t try to fight the camera. Just go along for the ride, let it do what it wants to do, perhaps even close your eyes for a few moments if you feel queasy, and simply wait it out.
I see car wheels in the sky, WTF?!
This section is no longer relevant since I managed to come up with a universal FOV fix! I’m leaving it here for historical reasons and just in case anybody is unable to update to Release 4 or later of the mod.
So, even though most of the time I’m able to properly set the camera FOV in a way that allows for correct rendering of all objects, there are situations when I have to forcibly override the field of view during the rendering process itself, which leads to some pop-in at the edges of the image (the game was expecting to draw a narrower portion of the world, so it didn’t load some parts of it in time), and most notably to some objects in the world being drawn at the wrong positions. This includes car wheels, suspended wires, shadows and clouds.
A situation where you’ll frequently experience this problem is if you, uh, interact with a hooker in your car. In that case, just concentrate on what happens inside the car, and never mind the wheels floating around outside 😉 Another occurrence of this may be during cutscenes, but only if you force the zoom override as listed further on in Advanced tweaking.
Advanced tweaking and hotkeys
Release 4 update: It is now possible to modify graphics options without exiting the game, and you can even enable any valid combination of FXAA, MSAA and TXAA! The only thing that still needs to be edited by hand (and kept in sync between settings.xml and commandline.txt ) if you want to change it from my defaults, is the base window resolution. Note that MSAA has a huge impact on performance, so I only recommend it for people who have powerhouse GPUs (see the new More advanced graphics tweaking section for more info).
If you want to customize your graphics options to further tune the game performance to your specific system, with the goal of keeping a steady frame rate while at the same time enjoying the fullest graphical quality, there are a few important facts which you should keep in mind. First of all, the settings given in the following table must always be honored for the mod to work properly:
The mod also assumes that you are running the game with a square resolution (which can normally be set only in windowed mode). The High and Medium template files use 1080×1080, while the Low one starts from 600×600. Mind that this is not the resolution which will be sent to your headset: the mod leverages the internal workings of GTA’s RAGE engine to render the in-game world at a much higher resolution, as specified by the Frame Scaling Mode value. Edit: see the new Resolution tweaking section below for more in-depth information.
Running the game in a square window is very important, because due to the way VR systems manage the two eye buffers, letting the game choose a 4:3 (or even worse its preferred 16:9) aspect ratio would result in lots of wasted pixels, i.e., pixels which would be rendered by the game engine but could never be seen in the headset, causing a big performance loss. You definitely don’t want to do that!
This paragraph is no longer relevant. Since Release 4, all graphics options except for the base window resolution (which can be seen under Settings> Graphics> Resolution ) can be changed from the in-game menus without breaking the mod. Unfortunately this also means that most of the graphics settings cannot be tuned while in game, but must be changed by hand in the Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\settings.xml file after quitting, because although GTA V can work with custom resolutions, it doesn’t seem to remember them when it re-initializes the renderer after non-trivial graphics settings have been modified. In practice, what will happen is that GTA V will reset the resolution to 800×600 any time you make a significant change, and the mod will stop working or behave oddly. So, unless I or some other modder manage to come up with a trick to always force the game to use a custom resolution, what you should do is tweak your graphics settings directly by editing the settings.xml file after you have quit the game, instead of using the menus. Or, perhaps more easily, you can modify the settings from the game menus, which will revert the resolution to 800×600 after you apply them, and then quit the game and edit the settings.xml file to put back the desired square resolution before you launch GTA again.
The R.E.A.L. mod offers some advanced options that you can tweak in real time while playing, by using keyboard shortcuts (hotkeys). The hotkeys are disabled by default, to avoid possible problematic interactions with other mods that use the same shortcuts, and also to guard against apparent quirky behavior of the R.E.A.L. mod if the keys get hit inadvertently during gameplay. To enable the hotkeys, press F11. If you want to turn them back off after making your tweaks (the changed options will remain set until you quit the game) just press F11 again. Note: many people seemed to misunderstand this as a sort of shift key that should be pressed together with the others. That’s not the case. F11 behaves as an on/off button, just like Caps Lock.
Here is the list, with the initial value of each option:
Edit: since Release 3, the defaults for some of those settings can be customized by editing the RealVR.ini file. The mod will not overwrite this file, so even if you tweak the options using the hotkeys, the initial values that you set by manually editing RealVR.ini will be preserved for the next run.
More advanced graphics tweaking
Together, those two things mean that it is now possible to change graphics settings on the fly while in-game, instead of having to edit the settings.xml file manually, which should make finding the perfect compromise between image quality and frame rate much faster and easier than it used to be.
Another new feature of Release 4 is full support for all valid combinations of FXAA, MSAA and TXAA. Now, before you get carried away, there are a few facts that you should keep in mind. FXAA is extremely cheap in terms of performance (it only shaves away a couple of fps) but it doesn’t help a lot with shimmering edges, and it also blurs the image noticeably. MSAA is much better in terms of visual quality, but it has a huge impact on performance: even just setting it to 2x will burn away more than 30% of your frame rate. This drop is not specific to VR or my mod incidentally: see for instance this IGN report from 2015. TXAA looks very good and costs basically nothing, but it only works on NVIDIA cards and in conjunction with MSAA. If you have at least a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, I suggest the combo MSAA 2x + TXAA for extreme quality: you can win back some of the lost frame rate by dropping Post FX to Normal. On top-of-the-line AMD cards, the best-looking usable combo is probably MSAA 2x + FXAA (I’ll need your feedback here, since I cannot test this configuration directly). Do not activate all three on NVIDIA cards (MSAA + TXAA + FXAA) unless you’re looking for some sort of placebo gratification: I checked the draw calls and FXAA is internally disabled whenever TXAA is used, even though it still appears as On in the menu.
Last but not least, Release 4 and later are fully compatible with the latest versions of so-called graphics overhaul mods for GTA V. I have successfully tested NaturalVision Remastered, VisualV, GTA 5 Redux, and M.V.G.A. (Make Visuals Great Again). My personal preference, if you’re interested, goes to M.V.G.A., because it gives the most important improvements that you can get from these modifications (less fog with better draw distance and clarity, photorealistic color palette, darker nights) without being so oversaturated and generally a bit over the top as some of the others, and without having any appreciable impact on frame rate. Redux instead appears to be very buggy, and other modders that I respect said that it’s basically stolen work, so I’d advise against using it, but if you really must, make sure that you enable some form of antialiasing (either FXAA or MSAA) otherwise 1st person will be broken during nighttime, and set Post FX to Normal otherwise cutscenes will look fuzzy and distorted. Also be mindful that the more realistic lighting conditions that all these mods enable, even though they can look astounding in VR, can sometimes mess with gameplay; for example flying at night becomes much harder and frustrating, especially in 1st person, because you can hardly see the terrain.
ReShade is not compatible with the R.E.A.L. mod and probably never will be, because ReShade is designed to operate on the final backbuffer, instead of the high-res internal buffer that gets sent to the headset. So, if you’re installing one of the graphics overhaul mods mentioned in the previous paragraph, skip the optional ReShade installation, otherwise you’ll lose fps just to make the onscreen window nicer.
Even more advanced resolution tweaking
If you are playing with KB/M, and set a base window resolution that is larger than your Windows desktop resolution, you might find your mouse pointer unable to reach all parts of the window, meaning that the menus and some in-game interactions might not work properly. My recommendation in this case is to extend your Windows desktop resolution beyond the limits of your physical monitor, which can be achieved using Dynamic Super Resolution if you have an NVIDIA card, or Virtual Super Resolution if you have an AMD one. I know for a fact that DSR works correctly with GTA V in this context, as I’m using it myself; some feedback would be appreciated from AMD users about VSR.
Fixes included in the R.E.A.L. mod
Here’s an incomplete list of all the stuff that I needed to fix in order to achieve a fully immersive VR environment for GTA V, and to allow playing the game to 100% completion without ever needing to remove the headset (sorry but this list has not been updated since Release 1, see the release changelogs for the latest news):
Please note that except for the troubles with the 1:1 aspect ratio and the menus being cut off to the sides, all the above problems are not bugs with the game per se, but only issues that stemmed from the VR conversion (similarly to what happens when a game meant for a 2D monitor is coaxed, with the help of 3D Vision, into performing stereoscopic rendering). In truth, I’ve found GTA V to be unbelievably stable and bug-free, especially when you consider the huge complexity of its open world.
Also note that when the game is being forced to do something that Rockstar’s original implementation would forbid (like looking all the way down toward your feet, especially while in a car) there might be some artefacts and/or camera twitches. The same can happen in cutscenes, particularly if you’re looking in a different direction than the game expects.
Q. Okay, that was all very nice and technical, but alternate-eye rendering makes me queasy. Can I disable it?
A. You can disable it, but you will lose the 3D effect (as I said, there is currently no way of achieving 90 fps in stereo with GTA V without alternate-eye rendering). See the Advanced tweaking section for instructions.
Q. I can’t control/rotate the camera while doing XXX, and also during mission YYY.
A. The game allows you to perform MANY different actions (walking, running, driving, flying, swimming, shooting, shooting while driving, shooting while being driven around by NPCs, playing sports, etc.), and not all of those situations are consistent about the various ways employed to control where you’re looking, where you’re firing and where you’re going. To complicate matters, mission or activity scripts often use their own, peculiar control schemes. I fixed as many corner cases as I could find while going through every mission/variation and activity, so that with the current version of the mod and the game, you should always be able to control the camera in VR, usually just by looking around with your head and/or using the mouse or right stick on the controller; sometimes, the left stick might be needed; in rare occasions, one of those controls might be disabled (a notable example is when you are shooting from a helicopter as a passenger: I had to disable headlook because it was too erratic due to the specific behavior of the mission script). So, try looking around with your head, using the right stick/mouse, and/or the left stick; if nothing works, please open an issue on GitHub and remember to be very specific about the situation where it happens and any additional mods that you might be using.
Q. I hate shitty mods where you have to aim with your head, I’ll just wait for a proper one that uses motion controllers.
A. Okay.
Q. Smooth turning makes me sick, please add snap turning.
A. At the moment I have no plans to do that, because turning with the mouse or the right stick on the controller is not managed by the mod but by the game itself. Also, I personally find snap turning horrible and immersion-breaking. However, if you are really bothered by smooth turning, you can just play in roomscale and always use your head to look around just like you would in real life; as I mentioned above, through all of the game missions and activities there are only a couple of brief scenes where headlook had to be disabled.
Q. Please make a VR mod for game SuchAndSuch 6, I’ve never programmed in my life but I know it can’t be too hard, I believe it shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours. I can spare a few bucks if you give me your PayPal.
A. This R.E.A.L. mod, as the one I made for No One Lives Forever 2, was a labor of love. Modding GTA V was actually even harder than NOLF2 (to the point of becoming soul-crushing at times), because it took a lot more reverse engineering and trial-and-error, and because the game is so much vaster. I poured all of my free time for almost three months into this project. So no, sorry, I won’t mod your game, although I can do consultancy work if you are a serious developer/studio who wants to port an old or new game to VR, and you have a reasonable budget to allocate to the job.
Q. I am John Bigcheese with Rockstar Games; I just spoke with Eddie Megaboss at Take-Two Interactive and we decided to send a golden plate to your home address for making one of our flagship games so much more beautiful and for all the additional sales that your mod generated. where do you live?
A. Just PM me! But seriously, I made this mod out of passionate love for the game and the magical world it creates. If it pleases you, that makes me happy; if it interferes with your present or future plans for the game, just ask nicely (no need for any C&D, Rottweiler-lawyer stuff) and I will take it down right away.
Q. I’m reckless and I want to feel (well, imagine, perhaps with some help from my USB fan) the wind in my face while I’m driving by setting the camera to «First Person Vehicle Hood», why did you write that I can’t?
A. Actually you can, and it is kind of exhilarating if you have the stomach for it. The only reason why I’m suggesting to leave that setting Off is that you won’t be able to aim by rotating your head while driving and you’ll have to use the mouse or right controller stick instead, which makes several missions much harder.
I am an experienced GTA modder and I wish to contribute, where do I begin?
There are several areas of improvement where the R.E.A.L. mod could really benefit from your input, especially if you know or can find out the answers to these problems:
This R.E.A.L. mod is a clear case of «standing on the shoulders of giants» if there ever was one. None of this would have been possible without the incredible work of many wonderful communities of people.
First of all, a huge THANK YOU to all the people who contributed, directly or indirectly, to the making of the game itself. It is said that more than a thousand persons worked on GTA V, and that development lasted around 6 years. That would amount to 6,000 person-years invested in the making of this breathtaking alternate world, or 6 person-millennia. Even if that figure might be exaggerated, because it’s likely that only a part of those people worked continuously on the game for the whole 6 years, it’s still an astounding achievement. There is probably more detail to be found in the game than any single person can fully appreciate or discover.
Next, kudos to the brilliant community of GTA V modders that found and documented a huge chunk of the secret, inner workings of the game engine and of the mission scripts. Without you to open and light the path, making the game work in VR would never have been possible for anyone except Rockstar themselves.
Last but not least, my warmest thanks to the unbelievable community of Shaderhackers who for so many years have taken games programmed to be viewed on a normal monitor and «fixed» them so they could be enjoyed in perfect stereoscopic 3D using the (now sadly moribund) 3D Vision technology. Without their efforts, culminating in the all-powerful tool that is 3Dmigoto, a complex construction like the R.E.A.L. mod would have been just too much work to undertake for a single developer.
I hope that you have loads of fun playing this.
20 Best Realism Mods For GTA 5 (Ranked)

Thank you from FandomSpot
Few games can claim to be as long-lived as Rockstar’s hyper-famous Grand Theft Auto V.
Something both Skyrim and GTA5 have in common is massive, active modding communities producing content nonstop. And when it comes to replayability, you just can’t beat having thousands of mods at your fingertips for free.
We’ve covered some of the best overall mods, but let’s look into a more specific area: realism in gameplay.
If you want to make this open-world sandbox experience more realistic, take a look at these mods and see what catches your eye.
20. Sitting Mod
Characters in GTA can run, drive, pilot planes, and survive shootouts with the army.
But they can’t sit down and enjoy the moment.
Modders have a lot of experience fixing this specific issue in games, and creator Jedijosh920 was quick to release the Sitting Mod to solve this mistake.
Now you just need to press the E key while next to a bench, and your character will proceed to rest their butt on it. As comfortably as space allows, anyway.
19. Extreme Difficulty Health Realism
While getting shot or otherwise injured in GTA5 is definitely harmful, it’s a lot less gruesome compared to how it would be in real life.
Creator SoB tries to make injuries in GTA5 more lifelike with his Extreme Difficulty Health Realism mod.
Now, different weapons will cause different injuries.
You’ll also start losing strength and speed as you lose health, becoming disoriented. Seems realistic, right?
This will make calling the paramedics more a “need” than a fun little thing you never really do.
18. Real Paramedics
Speaking of calling the paramedics… Have you ever noticed how they seem to only respond to calls for the show of it?
Thanks to Real Paramedics by Jedijosh920, you can make them actually earn their pay, instead of just walking away from injured civilians.
If the injury is bad enough, they’ll even carry their patient back to the ambulance.
Next time you accidentally run over an old lady, stop and take the time to call the paramedics. You’ll have the most immersive car accident you could imagine, all within GTA5.
17. Dismemberment/Gore
But even the paramedics will be entirely at a loss when they come across a slaughter resulting from you trying out the Dismemberment/Gore mod by Jedijosh920.
Instead of a half-assed scream and a bloodied shirt, characters will get visibly wounded and even dismembered by both melee weapons and high-impact firearms.
Whether it’s a machete, a katana, or emptying an AR’s clip into someone’s arm, this mod provides several ways to brutally maim your enemies – just like you would in real life, I suppose.
16. Better Deformation
If you care about making bodily harm more realistic, why not go ahead and make the damage done to cars much more lifelike too?
This mod by Corinarh greatly increases specific in-game stats so that cars will get deformed with much less damage, while also increasing the car’s durability.
What you’re left with is a gradually-deforming car that works, until receiving some truly major damage.
This extra durability is especially noticeable on planes and helicopters, which can now take quite a bit of deformation before blowing up.
15. Fuel Script V
One of the most unrealistic aspects of vanilla is how every car, no matter how or where you obtain it, is always 100% full of gas.
Not to mention, it never runs out. What world is this guy living in?
Creator Sakis25 brings us the Fuel Script V mod, which adds fuel consumption to vehicles in GTA5. The mod also adds a fuel measurement bar over the minimap to keep you posted on your juice situation.
Run out, and you’re going to need a tow truck.
It’s a bit impractical, sure. But one cannot deny that having to stop every few hours for a quick gas refill is as much a fact of life as death and taxes.
14. Realistic Gun Sounds
For a game with so much gun mayhem, firearms in GTA5 don’t sound real to me.
Realistic Gun Sounds is a compilation of mods created by Xenort and some other contributors to improve sounds on revolvers, SMGs, vintage pistols, and everything else under the sun.
Even Tasers got a new sound clip!
Gunfights will sound considerably more realistic, adding to the enjoyment. And adding to the probability of scaring your neighbors late at night.
13. Disarm
Some people need lessons just to learn how to hold a gun.
It stands to reason that most people couldn’t hold onto their weapon if it was glued to their hands… and yet, the NPCs in GTA5 do.
Well, not anymore.
Thanks to modder Jedijosh920, so much as a scrape on their hands or arms will make the average NPC drop their weapon. This allows you to sweep in and take them out swiftly.
This mod is especially recommended for those who’re used to previous GTA installments where disarming was still present without mods.
What a weird thing to leave out…
12. Ambient FX
Besides sounds and gameplay mechanics, a game’s graphics are an essential aspect to improve if you want a more realistic experience.
Graphic updates are huge in GTA5, but this mod takes graphics more towards the realist side of things.
The Ambient FX mod by Dilapidated helps us achieve this by increasing the details in fire, smoke, and smog effects. Guns now emit smoke more naturally whenever you fire them, and smoke trails are visible from blocks away.
Considering it comes at little-to-no performance cost, there’s no reason to skip over this atmospheric mod.
11. Lively World – Traffic Stuff Update
There’s no point in having a sprawling open world if you can’t make it feel alive.
The best way to achieve this is by putting as many random events as possible into the game. You know, keep things exciting.
The Lively World mod pack by Eddim adds several such scenarios all around Los Santos, explicitly focusing on events affecting traffic.
Once installed, drivers will overtake each other, get into arguments, and more.
You’re free to interact with these scenarios or keep going. But whatever you do, you have the choice – and that’s as real as it gets.
10. Open All Interiors
One of my first encounters with software limitations was realizing I couldn’t enter every building in GTA: Vice City.
Luckily, I don’t have to put up with that anymore.
This mod by NewTheft opens every possible interior in Los Santos, adding fully functional doors and even elevators where needed.
It’s great for exploration, and it’ll also make shootouts more dynamic to boot.
9. R*hancer Photorealism Mod
You know how GTA5 screenshots on forums always look like they were taken with a more… realistic graphics engine?
It’s probably thanks to this mod by creator Xilantro, which retouches almost all aspects of GTA5’s visuals to provide an upgraded look.
And a realistic one, at that.
Among other things, it completely reworks the weather. The enhanced rain leaves more detailed puddles, and reflections off wet surfaces are much more realistic.
Another big focus of this mod is providing more natural lighting to Los Santos.
This makes the game look more vivid, and also makes nights darker and more atmospheric.
8. NaturalVision Remastered
Everyone has their tastes when it comes to making a game look better.
If our previous entry didn’t convince you, perhaps NaturalVision Remastered will.
Created by modder Razed, NaturalVision is one of the most ambitious visual overhauls for GTA5.
It’s also one of the most accomplished, making the game look so vivid and intense, you can almost feel the Los Santos sun on your skin.
If you wish to erase the fine line between gaming and reality even further, consider joining Razed’s Patreon and get access to NaturalVision Evolved, the latest version of this mod.
7. Realistic Driving V
It’s not enough to just improve the game’s looks to make it more lifelike. If you’re the kind that likes GTA for the cars and driving, you’ll want Realistic Driving V.
Modder Killatomate created an entirely new physics-based handling system for cars, setting values like weight and center of mass individually on 357 different vehicles.
This mod also gives tires a more realistic grip, depending on the surface.
The result is a simulation that feels coherent and authentic. It’s especially cool for fans of rallying, as the new off-road better simulates real-life sand and dirt.
6. Realism Dispatch Enhancement
If you’re modding GTA5 for more realism, you can’t miss improving the Los Santos Police Department – and frankly, they need it. Badly.
Made by The Realism Team, Realism Dispatch Enhancement is a mix of visual and gameplay improvements related to the police.
It’ll add new types of police personnel, more peacekeeping vehicles, and higher-quality textures – all while increasing performance and stability.
It also adds an entirely new six-star Wanted Level, and brings some tweaks to differentiate the diverse law enforcement agencies you see in Los Santos.
5. Crime and Police Rebalance & Enhancement
Once you’ve got a more appealing police force, you should make them think better, too.
The Crime and Police Rebalance & Enhancement by BobJaneTMart can help you by fixing several simplistic design choices in the police’s AI.
Now instead of magically knowing you just punched an old lady behind a minivan, someone will have to report the incident for them to begin an investigation.
Well, if that “someone” can get to a phone before you catch them.
Better stock up on silencers.
4. Better Chases+
Another mod providing a similar enhancement is Better Chases + by modder Daimian.
Other than requiring a civilian to report your crimes if there are no police nearby, this mod also introduces a gradual suspect ID process that makes the Wanted system feel much more engaging.
You may notice the police no longer repeatedly taser you when you’re already on the ground, too.
I mean, you may be a wanton murderer, but you still have human rights. Well, I think so anyway. This game’s pretty mental at times.
3. World of Variety
Few things are worse for immersion than noticing the same NPCs and cars going by over and over again.
It’s one of the most “gamey” aspects of GTA5 as a whole.
World of Variety seeks to improve this by re-introducing models and other assets from GTA Online into single-player Los Santos.
This lets the system auto-generate a richer array of NPCs, and traffic will look much more diverse as well.
You may even notice a surge in street performers, or be chased by K9 LSPD agents next time you commit a minor crime.
2. Basic Needs Mod Pack
Every game can be a survival game if you’re brave enough.
And if you get the right mods.
This Basic Needs Mod Pack by PlasticTangerine makes the game feel lifelike by having you get hungry and thirsty in-game, just as often as an average person would.
They’ll also need to have fun by drinking alcohol, smoking, driving unsafely, you know fun things to do and relax.
To help you survive daily life, this mod introduces working restaurants, motels, and safe house fridges that’ll take care of your basic needs for a modicum sum of money.
Arguably one of the most realistic mods to try out, and there’s so much to do with it, too.
1. GTA V Redux
The less time you spend modding your game, the more time you spend playing it.
The GTA V Redux mod will give you the best value for your time by overhauling almost every aspect of the base game for a more realistic, and overall more enjoyable, experience.
Visually, it provides significantly upgraded 4K textures that’ll make the game look photorealistic around every corner.
Better color corrections, a bloom effect, and tone mapping are also introduced.
Gameplay-wise, suffice it to say that the police system, weapons system, and even vehicle handling are all as good as they get.
Even ragdoll physics are better!
Really, if you’re going for realism then install GTAV Redux. You won’t regret it.

You and eshenk, brother— glad to have you guys taking care of the day to day re-texturing of the items that don’t get the most attention, but do add to immersion.
Now, as far as adding future food props? How about:
1. Hot Pockets in the frozen food areas.
2. Hellman’s Mayo.
3. Donald Duck Orange Juice (. yes, there actually is a brand! LOL)
4. Old El Paso Refried beans.
5. Pace salsa.
@BatKnight Your recommendations are greatly appreciated and I will look into this eshenk guy and see if maybe he would liek to do a collab!
Realism Dispatch Enhanced
Fuel Script Mod
Better Weapon Ragdoll
Human Needs
Realistic Damage System
Realistic Damage.
Grand Theft Auto!
Be Wounded – отключенная регенерация.
First Person No Hud While Aiming –
First Person Camera Only – режим только от первого лица.
On Foot No Radar –
One Ster Slow Motion Arrest – slow-motion

Real Life Pounder Textures
Real Life Pounder Textures
Life Pounder Textures

gta5-real-mod’s Introduction

For the love of god, how do you do this. I cant find any tutorial on it. Ive got all the programs, photoshop, wip v, ddd converter. When i import it back in it just gives me a blank truck. The image files for the mule are one image of all the truck textures, they are not seperate. I just got it into photoshop, applied the texture to the cola one and left the other textures alone, also did the Hi version as well, and nothing. Any, any help will be appreciated
hi, i am forced to update before open the game

when i open the game next time, everything will be become normal again because of the update.
@Old-Spice I have the same problem as @Toad, I click on «Rebuild» but after the game launched, it downloads the file.
Does it replace the original textures or add because I see the original mule textures and your mule textures?
Is it possible to add more than 6 textures?

INCOMPATIBLE MODS
Felonies Mod [.NET]
Real Time Mod [.NET]
Only Night Mod [.NET]
Bullet Time Mod [.NET]
Weapons Are Scary Mod [.NET]
This mod contains many systems & after time could contain many more.
Each systems are a single mod but they are all-in-one & fully configurable.
Every single system can be turned off completely or even only while a mission is in progress.
SYSTEM ARREST (Under construction)
When you are being arrested by the police forces, you now have the choice of what you want to do, but make a decision quickly, the cops are heavily stressed.
SYSTEM FELONY
This system will force you to drive a little bit more seriously. But still by the law, you are allowed to pass a red traffic light because I can’t do it.
SYSTEM POLICE
This system spawns patrols around, it’s making your life harder, but basically how it should have been in the first place.
SYSTEM REACTION
The law prohibits the wearing of Firearms. People now are more aware of visibly armed people. Guns are scary, people don’t feel good around one since they don’t have one themselves and for the enemies, it kinda make them feels furious.
SYSTEM REFLEXE
This system is adding a slow-motion mode that is automatically activated depending of your situation. For example, if you are in cover and start aiming, the time will go slower than if you wouldn’t have been in cover.
SYSTEM REPUTATION (Under construction)
This system is giving your characters a reputation, the more you do mayhem the more people will recognize you and be scared or even call the cops. But if you help people, your reputation will improve. In the future, their will be random attacked ped that you can help.
SYSTEM TIME
This system is synchronizing the game clock with your system clock, you can also enable Winter season, so from a month to an other month you setup, it will be winter season in the game.
When downloading the mod, you get RealLifeModManager, a program designed to help you setup each of those systems the way you want it.
RealLifeModManager is very informative, it contains all information as of the maximum, minimum and default values of each field also use your internet connection to verify if a new update is available on a server, if it’s the case it will link you to http://RealLifeMod.com so you can download the latest version.
When updating the mod, it is very important to replace all file including the RealLifeModManager program, otherwise incompatibility problems could be caused by changes I would do into the code and settings.
This mod is being developed by me and only me, so please be patient for fixes and updates, you can help by reporting bugs including the details.
I am also very open for new ideas, send me a mail with the idea if you want me to maybe add it to the mod, theirs plenty of room for new systems.
RealLifeMod is virus free, scanned before uploading using Bitdefender.
You should always scan yourself before using something. The checksums are available on the Official Website if you want to verify the integrity of the mod files.
Feel free to make and share video of the mod, you can also upload elsewhere as soon as you credits me and link back to http://RealLifeMod.com, so people can get all information and updates.

GTA V R.E.A.L.: модификация для полного погружения в виртуальную реальность
GTA V теперь можно пройти от первого лица на VR-устройствах: прокатиться на американских горках, врезаться на машине в прохожих, подраться с ними из-за неаккуратного вождения.
Разработка модификации R.E.A.L.
Создатель R.E.A.L.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V».

Real-Life Random Props 1.2
More mods by eshenk:
Real-Life Random Props are going to be an incrementally updated texture pack, which will be complete once all props are converted to real-life counterparts.
This addition brings real-life parasols. Expect to see bean machine, sprunk, e-cola, and Piswatter converted to Starbucks, Sprite, Coca-Cola, and Coors Lite.
Changelog 1.1 Replaces e-cola inflatible triathalon archways at the beach and Sandy shores, with coca-cola version. See last screenshot.
Changelog 1.2 Finally nailed down why these textures would never render in-game thanks to my good friend Leec2202!!Now when you go to say Vespucci promenade or say Del Perro pier, the parasols will correctly display Sprite and coca-cola textures, bean machine parasols will be starbucks, and Pisswasser will be coors light!
Launch OpenIV, and click «edit mode». Follow the path of the enclosed files, and drag and drop to their respective locations. If you use EMF, just drop files into the «LA_Billboard_P1» folder within it.

can you make retexture of garages for michael, franklin and trevor?? like online garages
Any, any help will be appreciated
hi, i am forced to update before open the game
even i successed get into the game with the mod,
when i open the game next time, everything will be become normal again because of the update.
@Old-Spice I have the same problem as @Toad, I click on «Rebuild» but after the game launched, it downloads the file.
Does it replace the original textures or add because I see the original mule textures and your mule textures?

Note: This mod works best when having finer controls like a controller or steering wheel, rather than using the keyboard.
Update 1.01 Hotfix: Criminal Enterprises update. All the cars from this update have been changed.
The Hotfix addresses some cars not being upgradable through LSC. Modding through trainers was still possible. Issue found thanks to Slick Nick
KOWN ISSUE: There is a strange bug with the Freight Trailer. It shares its handling settings with the Army Trailer and the Freight Trailer with the Cutter on top, but it just will not hitch to a truck, even though the others do. This causes the «off shore» path of the Merryweather Heist to fail once the truck with the sub arrives at the Sandy Shores airport.
I’ve been unable to fix this (so far). It’s NOT an issue with the Packer, as other vehicles won’t hitch either. Issue found by dceve
If you want to show your appreciation, you can always buy me a coffee.

ABOUT:
=======
I’ve worked for over 1,300 hours on modifying every single land vehicle in GTA V, including DLC vehicles. I’m trying to find a nice balance between more realistic vehicle behaviour, and a fun/arcade style of driving. I sincerely hope you find this mod enjoyable.

INSTALLATION:
=============
Use OpenIV to replace the handling.meta file in the mods/update/update.rpf/common/data folder. Make a back-up if you want to. That’s it.

GTA Realism 0.9
— Исправлены, добавлены и изменены маршруты передвижения транспортных средств;
— Исправлены баги с пешеходами. Добавлены новые маршруты их следования. В каждом районе будет разное количество людей;
— Животный мир стал разнообразным;
— На заправочных станциях можно к себе в машину прихватить запасное колесо;
— Исправлена проблема с службой ремонта транспортных средств;
Скриншоты World Improvement 30 штук

Steam! Real life mod gta 5July 8, 2022: Due to hostile behavior from Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., owner of Rockstar Games, Inc., I will no longer provide any kind of support or updates for this mod. Feel free to contact them if you wish to play the game in VR, I’m sure they’ll have an official port coming in the next 20 years or so, and it will have spectacular next-gen graphics 😉 Tired of playing flat games? Check out my latest VR mod for Dark Souls: Remastered, it’s in early access on my Patreon!! Table of contents After several experiments, I settled on a solution that I believe is the best compromise between ease of access to the various information fields available on the HUD (such as game hints, ammo, subtitles, and especially the all-important radar) and the necessity in VR to keep the HUD out of the way so that it doesn’t detract from immersion in the game world. In my implementation, the HUD is semi-transparent, suspended in space about 3 feet in front of your head, and it is: A notable exception happens when you are aiming, in which case the HUD will become smaller and headlocked, so you’ll always have all the information that you need visible in front of you even when you have to rotate your head quickly to follow enemies. Keyboard/mouse, controller, aiming For my previous VR conversion of No One Lives Forever 2, a game that offered no native gamepad support because it was developed before gamepads became common for gaming PCs, I had to come up with custom bindings for the many controls needed. There was another mod out there that made them somewhat usable by removing your in-game character’s body, but it’s not something I’m personally interested in doing, for various reasons: For the same reasons, I went to some effort to implement dominant-eye alignment when rendering the weapon model, so that you can properly aim down the sights as you would in real life. Recentering your view in VR GTA V has quite a few intense moments; so, especially if you move around a lot in roomscale, you may frequently find yourself needing to recenter the view, in particular to reset the HUD to be in front of your line of sight, or to realign the position tracking with the character model (see also Position tracking below). The movement will become second nature in a short while, and I find it so convenient and have become so accustomed to it that I sometimes catch myself doing it in other games and wondering why it didn’t work 🙂 If you cannot seem to trigger the recentering, follow these instructions: If you are in a vehicle, and you don’t need to reset the HUD but only to align your character with the direction the vehicle is facing, a convenient shortcut that won’t affect the HUD position is to briefly press the button for looking behind you (defaults to C on the keyboard, or pushing in the right stick on the gamepad). Position tracking, animations, and the player’s body model With NOLF2 I was able to implement full position tracking because the game provided a way to move the main character model accurately by an arbitrary, precise amount. Advanced tweaking and hotkeys Release 4 update: It is now possible to modify graphics options without exiting the game, and you can even enable any valid combination of FXAA, MSAA and TXAA! First of all, the settings given in the following table must always be honored for the mod to work properly: The mod also assumes that you are running the game with a square resolution (which can normally be set only in windowed mode). Here is the list, with the initial value of each option: Edit: since Release 3, the defaults for some of those settings can be customized by editing the RealVR.ini file. The mod will not overwrite this file, so even if you tweak the options using the hotkeys, the initial values that you set by manually editing RealVR.ini will be preserved for the next run. More advanced graphics tweaking Together, those two things mean that it is now possible to change graphics settings on the fly while in-game, instead of having to edit the settings.xml file manually, which should make finding the perfect compromise between image quality and frame rate much faster and easier than it used to be. Even more advanced resolution tweaking If you are playing with KB/M, and set a base window resolution that is larger than your Windows desktop resolution, you might find your mouse pointer unable to reach all parts of the window, meaning that the menus and some in-game interactions might not work properly. Fixes included in the R.E.A.L. mod Here’s an incomplete list of all the stuff that I needed to fix in order to achieve a fully immersive VR environment for GTA V, and to allow playing the game to 100% completion without ever needing to remove the headset (sorry but this list has not been updated since Release 1, see the release changelogs for the latest news): Please note that except for the troubles with the 1:1 aspect ratio and the menus being cut off to the sides, all the above problems are not bugs with the game per se, but only issues that stemmed from the VR conversion (similarly to what happens when a game meant for a 2D monitor is coaxed, with the help of 3D Vision, into performing stereoscopic rendering). Q. I can’t control/rotate the camera while doing XXX, and also during mission YYY. Q. I hate shitty mods where you have to aim with your head, I’ll just wait for a proper one that uses motion controllers. Q. Smooth turning makes me sick, please add snap turning. Q. Please make a VR mod for game SuchAndSuch 6, I’ve never programmed in my life but I know it can’t be too hard, I believe it shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours. I can spare a few bucks if you give me your PayPal. Q. I am John Bigcheese with Rockstar Games; I just spoke with Eddie Megaboss at Take-Two Interactive and we decided to send a golden plate to your home address for making one of our flagship games so much more beautiful and for all the additional sales that your mod generated. where do you live? Q. I’m reckless and I want to feel (well, imagine, perhaps with some help from my USB fan) the wind in my face while I’m driving by setting the camera to «First Person Vehicle Hood», why did you write that I can’t? I am an experienced GTA modder and I wish to contribute, where do I begin? There are several areas of improvement where the R.E.A.L. mod could really benefit from your input, especially if you know or can find out the answers to these problems: This R.E.A.L. mod is a clear case of «standing on the shoulders of giants» if there ever was one. Real Life Mod 1.0.1.2

It offers an injury system with no UI popups, with various weapon types causing some abstracted progressive injuries. Gait/running speed is affected by injury and disorientation from severe injury is simulated. Bandaging/self-care is simulated abstractly— it’s assumed you’ll be applying compression and improvised bandages on bleeding whenever you get a chance. Call paramedics, like in real life. Unlike real life, you won’t have to spend months in physical rehab to get moving again, but you do need an ambulance in cases of major trauma. This mod is incredibly compatible with others, working perfectly with anything which does not affect player health (exception: mods which heal the player generally work). See the pinned comment for recommended modsets to support this playstyle. DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE Armor is limited with an extremely low cap; it’s better than nothing. If you get hurt, you can call paramedics and they will come fix you. Hold still when you do. Be careful not to bump into them when they come, and don’t have weapons out— if you are playing with the modset described in the pastebin in the pinned comment, they will become antagonized if you accidentally bump into them, and if you’re running weapons Are scary (a mod in the pastebin pinned comment), then they will run on sight if you’re holding a weapon. This made my game crash, and when I removed the 4 files it says «no shaders found» and it is still crashing @TedSN See if keep d3d9.dll or similars. d3d11 it not getting deleted @Gavin Rufus You need has GTAV closed to delete. Does this mod affect performance? Very good mod. Everything is brighter and sharper. For me it didn’t effect my frame rate at all. Only performance issue I experienced is that when the game first loads it’s a bit laggy for about a minute, but after that it’s fine. whenever i use this mod my game keeps crashing at the start i want to make a video on how to install it because it’s very easy works fine. looks amazing. thank you. Gracias. How to change enable/disable button? My keyboard doesn’t have numpad :T helpppppp Why when i move my mouse, it’s drop fps on screen, even enable or disable this. Any solutions please? Btw it’s very nice graphic! Is not possible to run this on fivem right? 😁 Amazing How to extract Rockstar Editor clips with using ReShade? PC. Also, you can find FTM download list in his discord. Which can be found at any of his youtube videos! @AvionGaming Ok so, this is what I’ve done thus far. I did choose the right application which was GTAV.exe. On the «DirectX» options I only clicked on DirectX 11 which is the one I use in gta 5 (hope that’s not gonna be a problem) and I did dragged the «TrueRealLifeReshade.ini» in the main directory and left the base one there. all that stuff is done. Now I’m stomped on the game itself. I launched the game and I thought at first that your graphics mod preset was gonna happen automatically but, apparently that didn’t happened. A message prompted me to click the «Home» button to pop up the menu and there’s a shitload of overly complicated tweaking sub-categories in there that I’m afraid to mess with. What I really wanna know is how to active your mod. I kind of quickly surfed thru those sub-categories in that menu looking for the «TrueRealLifeReshade» and couldn’t find it, I don’t know in which sub-category I’m supposed to look into. So now I’m stuck with a potentially excellent graphics mod installed but, with default vanilla reshades. As far as the «FTM download» thing, I clicked on the Resahde.me Discord link, logged in there with my account and took me to their page but I couldn’t find that FTM download list anywhere, all they have is like # fag-and-guides, # help, # code-chat, #virtual-reality and some other unrelated general discussion sub-categories that don’t offer a direct link to the «FTM download list». I did browsed thru their main chat but, there’re no hints in the chat to that link, all there is a whole bunch of people asking questions back and forth and talking about unrelated stuff. Last thing I did, went to youtube in an attempt to find FTM’s channel and couldn’t find his channel either. I typed in FTM and came up with a whole bunch of «FTM» channels that had nothing to do with graphics mods or games, I did come across one called: FTM Graphics but, I don’t think that’s them, I didn’t see any links in any of those videos for the FTM download list. This is that channel I came across in youtube but, I don’t think this is the right one > https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCww7poKw8cxzIhbtTF1SnLQ. I gonna need more information on how to make this graphics mod work. I’m very knowledgable of Redux by now and I know all the aspects of that graphics mod which I’ve being using for the longest but, I don’t think Redux is the best graphic mod out there. I like those images you got in your mod page, that’s why I’m interested on it but, this particular one is totally new to me. Changelog 1.2: Found and converted more Metro signs that belong to other tram stations in South Central (accross from the barber shop near Frank’s first house), and another in Korea Town. Changes phony names like Strawberry to South Central, Pillbox to Bunker Hill, and Puerto Del Sol to Marina Del Ray. Changelog 1.3: Converts metro signs to real-life in the Downtown area next to the construction site. Note: I am aware that there are more Metro stations, and when I found their textures, they will be redone as well. Launch OpenIV, and click «edit mode». Follow the path of the enclosed files, and drag and drop to their respective locations. Release 7Mar 21: GTA V got yet another update, so to keep the mod working you must download the latest Script Hook V from Alexander Blade’s page (http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/) and update the ScriptHookV.dll file that you have in the game folder; the other files in ScriptHookV_1.0.XXXX.Y.zip are unchanged and you don’t need to replace them. This release makes the mod compatible with the latest game update released by Rockstar on Dec 15, 2020 (version 1.0.2189.0, a.k.a. The Cayo Perico Heist update). Please see the README for important instructions on setup and gameplay, especially if this is your first time using the mod. The only file you need to download is GTAV_REAL_mod_by_LukeRoss_r7.rar (be sure to overwrite the old files if you had a previous release installed). Important for Windows Mixed Reality users: Starting from release 5, the mod finally works correctly with WMR headsets! However, due to an issue in Microsoft’s driver for SteamVR, in order to have correct tracking it is mandatory that you enable OpenXR. Since OpenXR support is still sort of experimental, both in my mod and in the world at large, it is not enabled by default because it might break the mod for many other users. You will need to activate it manually by doing two things after extracting the mod and before running the game: Enjoy one of the greatest games ever created, as now you can be inside it! AssetsRelease 6Sep 12 Update: Rockstar is on an update spree, so in order to keep the mod working you should always download the latest Script Hook V from Alexander Blade’s page (http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/) and update the ScriptHookV.dll file that you have in the game folder; the other files in ScriptHookV_1.0.XXXX.Y.zip are unchanged and you don’t need to replace them. This release makes the mod compatible with the latest game update released by Rockstar on Aug 11, 2020 (version 1.0.2060.0). Please see the README for important instructions on setup and gameplay, especially if this is your first time using the mod. The only file you need to download is GTAV_REAL_mod_by_LukeRoss_r6.rar (just overwrite the old files if you had a previous release installed). Important for Windows Mixed Reality users: Starting from release 5, the mod finally works correctly with WMR headsets! However, due to an issue in Microsoft’s driver for SteamVR [ Dec 14 Update: The issue should be fixed as of Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR Beta 1.2.485 ; nope, still broken], in order to have correct tracking it is mandatory that you enable OpenXR. AssetsRelease 5 (WMR at last!)Aug 11: Rockstar updated the game again, and now the mod is broken (very low frame rate). I will make a new release as soon as I can fix all the problems. You can also see #240. Please see the README for important instructions on setup and gameplay, especially if this is your first time using the mod. Starting from this release, the mod should finally work correctly with Windows Mixed Reality headsets! Kudos to Microsoft for making this possible with their OpenXR runtime, and a special thank you to u/TymAtMSFT for pointing me in the right direction. My gratitude also goes to Reddit user u/coru182, who did an amazing job beta testing this new release and tirelessly experimenting and helping me figure out several annoying issues. The only file you need to download is GTAV_REAL_mod_by_LukeRoss_r5.rar (just overwrite the old files if you had a previous release installed). Important for WMR users: At the moment, in order to have correct headset tracking that will allow you to experience the mod the way it was always meant to be played, it is mandatory that you enable OpenXR. Since OpenXR support is still sort of experimental, both in my mod and in the world at large, it is not enabled by default because it might break the mod for many other users. You will have to activate it manually by doing two things after extracting the mod and before running the game: This release also adds a feature that was highly requested by a few players (u/iupvoteevery comes to mind ^_^): gyroscopic stabilization of the first person camera when aboard a vehicle. In other words, your view will no longer tilt as the vehicle you’re in bounces and rolls around you. This mode can be activated using the End hotkey, or setting GyroVehicle = 1 in the RealVR.ini file; be warned that it leads to a somewhat comical effect when driving on highly irregular terrain, and it makes flying planes really weird and unnatural, so it’s not selected by default. Note: the Allow Independent Camera Modes workaround is no longer needed. Enjoy one of the greatest games ever created, as now you can be inside it! AssetsRelease 4IMPORTANT! This release no longer works correctly with the current version of GTA V, even though Google/YouTube stubbornly keep sending people here. Use the current release instead.May 27 Update: Due to the recent game updates pushed by Rockstar and the different version available on the Epic Games Store, in order to make the mod work now you should download the latest Script Hook V from Alexander Blade’s page (http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/) and update the ScriptHookV.dll file; the other files in ScriptHookV_1.0.1868.4.zip are unchanged and you don’t need to replace them. Please see the README for important instructions on setup and gameplay, especially if this is your first time using the mod. So many new features in this release! Full changelog below. But what I believe most people were waiting for. perfect VR in cutscenes! The mod natively supports Oculus and SteamVR headsets. HMD detection is automatic: if you have an Oculus headset connected (with the OVR service running) when you start the game, the mod will use native Oculus rendering; otherwise it will launch in SteamVR mode. WMR and Pimax headsets are still not properly supported; I contacted both Microsoft and Pimax about the issues, and I know that Microsoft is working on them, so let’s hope for good news soon! June 24 Update: Months have gone by and the mod is still unplayable with WMR headsets due to horrible tracking glitches: I made a post on Reddit and hope that Microsoft will give a definitive answer as to whether they are going to fix their driver or not. The only file you need to download is GTAV_REAL_mod_by_LukeRoss_r4.rar (just overwrite the old files if you had a previous release installed). Hotfix 4.1: Some users reported an issue where subtitles and other game messages that appear on the bottom of the screen were cut off on the left side. If you have a SteamVR headset, and you want to use MSAA with the mod, and you are having this problem, please replace the d3d11.dll file from Release 4 with this one. This hotfix has no other changes, so it is not needed if you are not experiencing this specific issue.
