Now, I’m trying to connect it with VPN and it does connect for 30seconds to 1minute then disconnects and get the same error,

Как Google объясняет сообщение о подозрительном трафике в вашей сети?

В справке Google по адресу: support.google.com/websearch/answer/86640?hl=ru компания Google пишет, что Google считает подозрительным трафиком:

При решении этой проблемы бывает, что проверочное слово или цифры не отображаются (captcha), тогда Google советует перезагрузить роутер, проверить компьютер на наличие вирусов и вредоносного ПО.

Также Google пишет о том, что если подобные сообщения сопровождаются незнакомыми объявлениями, вместо стартовой страницы и появился неизвестный сайт, то скорее всего, на вашем компьютере установлено вредоносное программное обеспечение (ПО).

Решение проблемы подозрительного трафика.

На сайте support.google.com/chrome/answer/6086368 есть инструмент очистки Chrome для Windows. Если вы используете Google Chrome браузер, то скачайте и запустите инструмент для удаления программ от Google.

Приложение сканирует систему и удаляет ПО, которое может помешать работе Chrome. Нажмите «Скачать».

Теперь прочитав Условия предоставления услуг Google Chrome, нажмите «Принять и скачать».

Скачивание началось. Спасибо, что скачали инструмент очистки Chrome.

Запустите инструмент очистки Chrome, он автоматически начнёт поиск вредоносных программ.

Если ничего не будет найдено, то вы увидите это сообщение.

Далее вам предложат сбросить настройки Google Chrome. Нажмите «сбросить», чтобы сбросить и удалить временные и кэшированные данные, такие как файлы cookie, а также содержание и данные сайтов. Только вспомните все свои пароли от соц. сетей и аккаунтов на сайтах, так как их надо будет вводить заново.

В основном достаточно просто подождать пока снимут блокировку с вашего iP адреса и вы вновь сможете пользоваться Google. Просто подождите минут 5-10 и с вас снимут бан.

You aren’t doing anything wrong but Google doesn’t like Tor users and will often block them. You have two options:

Change your circuit and try again an hope that they accept the new exit node.

Use a VPN. You will not have the advantages of Tor, but you will probably be able to access Google services.

When this persists, you can bypass it by clicking the button «New Tor Circuit for this Site». You get a new IP address each time you click the button, eventually one of those IP addresses will work.

I made an extension https://gitlab.torproject.org/lansi90/google-captcha-bypass-extension that deals with this issue transparently. Since I started using it, I do not encounter this issue anymore.

1] Disable Proxy or VPN

In Windows 10, there is an option in the Settings panel, which you can use to setup proxy. If you are getting this error message, you should disable it temporarily and check if the problem remains or not. Has someone experienced the same problem and solved it? Solving the problem with google is not that easy, the american hotline is a computer just reffering to the support-forum and the contact-form, the only phonenumber in germany i could find is also a computer telling me that there is no german-support for problems regarding any google-product. I also found a mail-address support-de@google.com and wrote a short message but all i got was an automatic response saying «emails arriving at this mail-address will not be read because there are too many inquiries».

So i hope someone here can give me a clou what to look and how to fix it.

Then I have to solve a CAPTCHA which I normally get incorrect and then have to solve another one. I don’t have any malware or suspicious plugins. It seems to frequently happen during peak hour, both in Windows and OS X using Firefox.

I think the problem is to do with my ISP using a shared IP for all users. I have filed a support request with Google without any luck.

I have the same problem, usually when i am using Windscribe VPN, it is ok once i turn off VPN. anyway i prefer shopee.. Lazada has so many issues, they denied my RM20 discount for using Citibank credit card, admitted was their system error but wouldn’t issue me voucher for compensation. asked me to try again next time.

Going to Google.com proper and searching «namemesh» provides expected results page.

Whoogle is deployed via Docker on my home network (on a QNAP); the Whoogle search and Google search originate from the same WAN IP, though different LAN IP. So it does not appear to be a simple flag against my WAN IP as my desktop PC can make valid google.com searches.

To be clear, this error occurs with any search query now, not just «namemesh».

I’ve noticed that Google treats non-javascript searches ( gbv=1 ) with more suspicion than regular searches, so that could be the reason why you’re seeing the «unusual traffic» page through Whoogle and not through regular Google searches.

That being said, I have a similar setup and haven’t encountered this yet, except for when I’m on a VPN (in which case I get the same error if I’m using a relatively popular VPN). I’ll try looking into this a bit more though, it’ll become especially pertinent when adding in Tor routing as a feature, as those addresses are universally flagged it seems.

Same here. With docker container on OVH VPS and fresh install. I can’t do any search, it always shows that «. unusual traffic. » and bla bla.
I’ve another web services work in the same VPS with no issues.

Same for me, also on OVH. I don’t get any issues when use the same machine and external IP as a sock proxy

If it returns the same error message, there’s really not much I can do to personally debug this, since that indicates that Google has somehow managed to flag the machine either by its address or some combo of Whoogle request + machine address. Normal google queries would still run fine in this case, but queries through Whoogle might be problematic because of how the User Agent is formed, or the fact that non-js results are being requested, or because there aren’t any google cookies available in the request header, or something else entirely.

Alternatively, it’s possible that Google is specifically blocking search requests matching OVH/Hetzner/etc CIDR blocks. I don’t have any setups on these services, but I don’t have any issues on DigitalOcean, Linode, or Vultr.

If it doesn’t return the same error message, then I’m not sure what the best next step would be. I know this will be an issue with Tor support, since the majority of Tor exit nodes are blocked by Google as well and result in this «unusual traffic» page, but I haven’t thought of a good solution for that either yet.

@benbusby I just want to add that since the day I posted this originally, I have not had an issue; in fact, the issue/error from Google went away within an hour or so of posting.

I’m having the same problem. I tried running the curl command above, and it returns the same error «Our systems have detected unusual traffic. » Bummer. I don’t think it’s a VPN-related issue because I’m on a VPN and my «normal» Google searches are not being blocked. It is admittedly very hard to outwit Google!

I’ve delved a bit deeper and it looks like the curl commands I’ve been running work with ‘http://google.com’ but not with ‘https://google.com’. The http request works even with the spoofed Agent.

I tried changing the request.py to use an http url, but it looks like it still redirects to https, which causes the error. Will test on linode and migrate to my instance there if needed

I am getting the same as @esturniolo when running the curl command on my OVH server.

The funny thing is that I just setup a machine with a visual browser to go through the same IP as my OVH server with OpenVPN, i don’t get the issues. I have tried through OpenVPN with chrome, both with and without user agent set to the same as the curl command, and I also ran the curl command in a terminal. I could never generate the issue.

Alas, it’s still happening, both behind a VPN and with no VPN. The error/rejection page normally has a CAPTCHA on it that is not getting relayed by whoogle. «This page appears when Google automatically detects requests coming from your computer network which appear to be in violation of the Terms of Service. The block will expire shortly after those requests stop. In the meantime, solving the above CAPTCHA will let you continue to use our services.» (I’ve gotten this page, for example, when using Private Internet Access, and Google detects a lot of searches coming from the same PIA IP address. Solving the CAPTCHA effectively whitelists the requests.)

Is it possible to pass the CAPTCHA through whoogle in order to get the request whitelisted?

I’m going to close this issue for now, since I’m not sure if there really is a solution that Whoogle could implement. The CAPTCHA can’t be passed through to Whoogle since CAPTCHAs enforce having the same host as the issuer. I’ll keep thinking about possible solutions as I continue working on the project, but for now it’s not seeming like there is a decent workaround (at least not an obvious one). I’ve encountered the issue a few times in the last month or so, and my solution has just been to destroy/rebuild a server (and get a new IP in the process). With a script this is pretty quick, so it hasn’t bothered me too much, but still annoying nonetheless.

I changed two private VPN`s in different countries. First attempt resulted in the issue. The second config worked in about 10 minutes, then I had the same error, without CAPTCHA. Ordinary gogle search works as it should. So whoogle-search is totally useless for me. It’s a pity!

Thank you for reporting this. Can you elaborate on how those searches were made, and in what small time duration?

I haven’t run into this myself, but while digging into some of the other open issues, I added a new debugging feature along the way to accomplish 2 things:

That let me use that same file over and over again, and I’m wondering if you could try with the latest version published today (v1.2.2) and upload here what that resulting HTML page looks like? It might be possible to detect that ‘unusual traffic’ page directly in the code, and subsequently retry with different configuration options (like userAgent field in the GET request).

I will try to make html output as you want.

When i look at my searches, i google-it a search query 15 times in every 5 seconds for a one minute.
After one minute i’m getting that response from google-it. Google detects me as a robot, so it blocks my searches for 5-6 hours and it puts a captcha resolve. If i pass through captcha, it allows me to search. Unless you dont pass through captcha, your block will keep on.

What is solution?
I found a solution by myself. I made bigger time period between search calls. i changed my time period from 5 seconds to 30 seconds. By this way, google can’t detect you as a robot. But this solution comes with a handicap. Your run time will be 6x larger.

Maybe somehow google-it can detect block mechanizm and pass through captcha by itself.

I was playing around with this limitation a little bit yesterday, using AWS Lambda as the place to perform these searches. My lambda function looks like this:

Suppose Google adds captcha that after X number of queries are made by the same IP address within Y number of seconds. One alternative to increasing the time period is to have the same lambda function like the example I included above, but duplicated across different AWS regions (us-east-1, us-east-2, eu-central-1, eu-west-1, etc). That way, a «master lambda» can accept the large array of search queries as its input, and can assign each search (or subset of searches) to one of the duplicated lambdas which would be performing that search. And if we’re talking about thousands of queries, to the point where it wouldn’t be feasible to perform the searches all at once (even in all the different AWS regions), that would probably require the lambda function to schedule one-time CloudWatch Events cron jobs for each batch of queries. I’m definitely thinking way too much into this, but it’s entertaining!

You may often encounter an error “Our Systems have Detected Unusual Traffic from your Computer Network” while you are running a Google search. The error usually occurs when you are using a proxy or when the requests are being sent too fast. This unusual activity triggers a Google captcha as it thinks that the request are generated by a robot or a potential virus. So, the error an arise if you are using a VPN, if there’s harmful content, changes browser configuration due to 3rd party extensions or due to a congested network connection. While restarting your browser can sometimes fix the issue, mostly it doesn’t. Whatever may be the reason, we have a few possible fixes for you. Let’s see:

Method 1: Stop your VPN Connection

The first method which works is stopping your VPN connection and start using internet without VPN. To stop VPN follow the steps given below.

Step 1: Press the Win + I keys together on your keyboard to open the Settings window.

Step 2: In the Settings app, select Network & Internet.

Step 3: In the next window, go to the left side of the window and select VPN.

Step 4: Now, navigate to the right side and select your active VPN connection.

Click on Disconnect to stop the VPN.

Now, exit the Settings app and try searching on Google. You should not see the error anymore.

Method 2: Disable Your LAN’s Proxy Server

Step 1: Right-click on Start and select Run to launch the Run command box.

Step 2: In the Run command window, type inetcpl.cpl in the search field and hit Enter to open the Internet Properties window.

Step 3: In the Internet Properties window, select the Connections tab and click on the LAN settings button.

Step 4: In the LAN Settings dialogue box, go to the Proxy server section and uncheck the box next to Use a proxy server for your LAN.

Now, go to the Automatic configuration section, check the box next to Automatically detect settings.

Method 3: Reset Browser settings

The 3rd party extensions of your browser can sometimes create complication with the browser settings, thus, generating the error. In such a case, it’s recommended to reset your browser to revert to the original configuration.

How to Reset Mozilla Firefox

Step 1: Open Firefox and navigate to the three parallel lines on the upper right side of the browser.

Click on Help.

Step 2: Next, select Troubleshooting Information.

Step 3: In the Troubleshooting Information window, click on Refresh Firefox option on the right.

Now, restart your Firefox browser and start searching on Google without any error.

How to Reset Google Chrome

Step 1: Launch Chrome and go to the three vertical dots on the upper right side of the browser.

Select Settings.

Step 2: In the Settings window, go to the Advanced section and expand it.

Step 3: Go to the Reset and clean up section and click on Restore settings to their original defaults.

Step 4: In the Reset settings pop up, press the Reset settings button below to confirm the action.

Now, re-launch your Chrome and you should be able to browse Google and carry out searches normally.

How to Reset Microsoft Edge

Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge and click on the three horizontal dots on the extreme upper right corner of the screen.

Select Settings.

Step 2: Now, on the left side of the window, click on Reset settings.

Step 3: Go to the right side of window and click on Restore settings to their default values.

Step 4: In the Reset settings pop up, click on the Reset button to confirm the action.

Once the process is complete, re-launch Edge. Now, go to Google and start your search. You should not encounter the error any further.

Method 4: Uninstall Suspicious Programs

Step 1: Press the Win + R shortcut key on your keyboard to open Run command.

Step 2: In the search box, write appwiz.cpl and press OK to open the Programs & features section in the Control Panel window.

Step 3: Now, on the right side of the window, under the Uninstall or change a program section, go to the problem program.

Right-click on it and select Uninstall.

Now, exit the Control Panel window, launch your browser and continue searching on Google. The error should not show up anymore.

Method 5: Remove all suspicious browser extension

Disable Extensions in Chrome

Step 1: Open Google Chrome and click on three dots (Customize and control Google Chrome).

Select More tools and then select Extensions.

Step 2: In the Chrome Extensions window, go to the extension that may be creating the issue and move the slider to the left to disable the extension.

Now, restart Chrome and start running a Google search. This time, you should not see the error again.

Disable Extensions in Mozilla Firefox

Step 1: Open Mozilla Firefox browser, go to the three lines on the upper right side of the screen and select Add-ons.

Step 2: In the Add-ons window, click on Extensions on the left side of the pane.

Step 3: Now, go to the right side of the pane and go to the extension that you want to disable.

Toggle the slider to the left to turn it off.

Now, close Firefox and then restart. Open Google and you should be able to search normally now, without seeing the error and the Captcha.

Disable Extensions in Microsoft Edge

Step 1: Launch Edge, click on the three dots (Settings and more) and select Extensions.

Step 2: In the Extensions window, go to the right side and under the Installed extensions, turn the slider to the left to disable the problem extension.

Now, restart Microsoft Edge and check if the issue is resolved while searching on Google.

Method 6: Perform the Captcha

If you were indeed carrying out too many Google searches and there’s no other reason, then filling out the Captcha will be an easier way out. Google throws a captcha with the error thinking it’s a robot and filling it out will prove that you are a human and that you are not misusing the internet. Once filled correctly, you are verified and you can then carry out your regular searches as usual.

Method 7: Restart your System and Router

Sometimes simply rebooting your PC and the router can be the quickest solution. So, restart your router and then restart your system to check if the “Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network” error is fixed.

Method 8: Perform a Malware Scan

This should be a must try method because for most Windows errors a malware is the reason. So, if you have a trusted 3rd party antivirus software installed, run a virus scan to detect any harmful software that may be causing the issue. The antivirus tool will then quarantine your PC automatically by removing this malware. You can then restart your PC and start searching Google like before.

From the last 10 days or so I’m getting this error when google searching.

I have to go and click some catpcha in order to proof I’m not a robot.

Then I ran the antivirus (I’m on MacOS), and it was clean.

It is true that I have some 10 or 20 tabs open because I research a lot, but it is normal for any IT person, I don’t see the unsual stuff their system is detecting.

But the last 2 days my company was under heavy cyberattack and I now wonder whether some malware was somehow introduced and this is the reason there is some unusual traffic.

Google says this:

Something that is weird, is that my wife open a lot tabs on her PC and she never gets that message. We both uses Chrome browser and we are on Static Public IP. Very curious to know Why it is popping up just to me.

Exists a way to evade this limitation?

I’m seeing that in the repository you have «Eliminates IP request limitations» should i to do something for the ip limitation?

There is nothing you can do, the only thing you can do to avoid this problem is to change the server’s IP or use a proxy to change your IP.

It is not a problem with this package, the problem comes from google, that you are trying to use its services in an «illegal» way, that’s why it blocks your IP.

First I check in the database if there is a cached translation, if there is not I use this package to translate, in case of error I use Google Cloud Translate.
