The prologue hinted at a serious manhwa, but, surprisingly, the transition into the category of comedy happened rather imperceptibly. And on that front, it’s very satisfying. Oh, and yes, the Protagonist. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a protagonist like that, and such in a manhwa with a “comedy” tag? Now, that’s a great combination. I’ll tell you, and the combination with the artist’s ability to convey emotion is a well-deserved 5 stars. I don’t know how the grading system works here. But this is one of the few works that deserves that rating.

Guideline

It’s H.U.D. game-like screen that is implemented on those Chosen by Ormphlaus to travel to Rathnia. Like it’s name implies, it provides information necessary to its user, and assigns instructions that furthers Ormphlaus’ agenda. Besides providing information, the Guideline increases the user’s basic physical abilities through combat, in a manner similar to Dragons, and permits the instantaneous acquisition of abilities that would otherwise take prolonged training.

Functions [ ]

While not necessarily useful to the user, but when an Otherworlder dies on Rathnia their corpse turns to dust leaving no physical evidence that they existed.

Information [ ]

It shows basic information about People, Animals, Objects or Places. When it comes to places it will show just their Name, while objects will include its name and basic description, but if they’re Artifacts it will include their function, activation word (if necessary) and level requirement, with Animals/Monsters you get their Species and Levels, but people on the other hand will show their Name, Level, Status [2] (Dead/Alive) and Class (if they don’t block it).

When used on oneself the information is more detailed, which includes their Acquired Skills and physical stats (Strength, Health, Recovery, Defense, Vision, Reflex and Agility).

A Warning provided by the Guideline.

Warnings [ ]

When confronted with a strong enemy the Guideline will provide an assessment, based on the user’s abilities and the enemies’, indicating the user’s Survival Rate.

Search [ ]

If the Guideline is provided with a a genetic sample it will be able to track the individual that the sample belongs to, through a simple bar that points towards the target’s whereabouts, without providing a pop-up map or any indicating of the distance to the target. It lasts for about 6 hours.

Suicide [ ]

If the user shows any lack of motivation or desperation the Guideline will provide the option for the user to terminate their own life. So far the result of accepting the option hasn’t been show.

Translation [ ]

It appears as a Skill of the user, so that he can easily converse with the populace of Rathnia.

Quests [ ]

To further the plan of Ormphlaus the Guideline will issue a quest with a clear objective and reward system. It will even advise the user on how to proceed (but nothing really substancial).

Conditioning [ ]

A secret function that lays dormant until the user meets the necessary requirements. It was created to futher Ormphlaus’ plans to have Otherworlders invade Rathnia.

When the user first kills a Rathnian the «Joy of Ormphlaus», a very addictive substance, will be injected to the users bloodstream in correspondance to the difficulty of the murder (1 EXP = 1 mg). The user will receive a pleasurable feeling with the murder, and associate the pleasure with the act, thereby turning the user into a mindless Rathnian-Killer. It works like any drug, meaning the user will suffer through withdrawl symptons if they don’t keep killing Rathnians.

Guideline message if facing an Angel

Angels [ ]

If somehow it’s obstructed from view or affected by external Divinity it will not function, and user will be able to attack the Angel.

Leveling [ ]

The Guideline provides the user with the possibility of improving their abilities through combat awarding experience (EXP) in accordance with the killed enemy (Monsters and Rathnians award EXP, while Otherworlders don’t). Unlike Rathnians, who have to train to increase their natural abilities, Otherworlders, not unlike Dragons, can acquire a bit of their enemy’s Life Force through the Guideline, therefore accelerating their development.

A being’s overall physical capacity is determined through Levels, a singular parameter that assesses one’s Abilities and Skills. Each Level has a EXP threshold, increasingly higher as one’s levels increases, therefore one has to fulfill an EXP requirement to Level Up. Withe each Level Up one’s physical Stats wil increase correspondingly.

Combat Ability [ ]

When the user has earned some EXP and has shown «Fighting Spirit and Survival Determination» this fucntion will activate allowing the user to pick from 4 different classes (Warrior, Magician, Magic Swordman and Spiritualist), but if the user does not have enough ability the Class will not available to the user.

In the case of the Warrior Class further specialization can be achieved depending on the available weapon chosen. The available weapons are a Sword, a Spear, an Axe and a Shield. The one’s that choose Sword are called Swordsman.

Skills [ ]

Unlike Rathnians that have to train to acquire techniques, Otherworlders can acquire Skills, from the Guideline, that mimic those techniques. The Skills are automatic and always executed with precision, needing only the user to will it. Because the user does not have a conscious understaing of the Skill they will be limited by the number of Skills they possess. The most apparent gap that is pointed out is that Otherworldy Mages can only cast the spells that the Guideline provides and can’t perform, or even create, other Spells like Rathnian mages can.

The Skills are unlocked with each Level-Up, and are displayed through a Skill Tree. Choosing a branch will open other ones, with other Skills.
(It’s unknown if selecting a branch will close off the others)

Errors [ ]

In the case of Ryu Han-Bin, when his Guideline was implemented it had an Error, one that caused alot of pain by not allowing him to Level Up from Level 4 to Level 5 and completing the Rocky Mountains Stage. The Error allowed Han-Bin to keep the Stat increase from each Level Up, effectively giving him the tremendous power that he is known for. Another side-effect is that any means of measuring his Level will not detect his abnormal Stats, only detecting that he is a Level 5.

The Error that kept Ryu Han-Bin from leaving the Rocky Mountains.

Another error that was shown was when he wanted to choose a Spear, and the Guideline gave him a Sword.

Misinformation [ ]

Another problem that afflicts Han-Bin is the fact that after 22 years in the Rocky Mountains his Guideline has outdated information about Rathnia, including the names of Places.

Divinity [ ]

When the Guideline is confronted with Divine Power (in the case of Kivye) it will glitch not being able to provide information on the target, and if affected enough it can become «blind» to its surroundings (like when he faced an Angel).

Eric (or Aeric) is the main protagonist of the story. His real name is Ryu Han-Bin, which he had changed to Eric to conceal his identity as an Otherworlder (humans that originate from Earth.) Later, under his disguise as a Valterian Warrior, he calls himself Feladd Bin.

Han-Bin is a human with black hair and pale skin. After spending 22 years fighting in the Tutorial Zone, he grew in height, towering over most people, gaining an extremely toned and muscular body. As the Guideline prevents aging, he has retained his 24-year-old appearance throughout the manhwa thus far.

Although everyone thinking he is indeed a Valterian Warrior, Barolt quickly recognize him as not being one.

After Kivye joins the party, he is show to understand her situation as someone that don’t belong in this world, being the same himself.

He is show in numerous ocassions to have a lack of respecting elders and high authority personal, even if by a misunderstand, this is showed when he breaks the sword in the Elf Festival, almost bury alive the Elf King and fight the Dwarven king.

Superhuman Strength: Han-Bin is one of the strongest characters, even when only using his physical abilities.

[Striking strength : 5 megatons to 8 megatons.(city level)

Lifting strength : 6 megatons to 12 megatons.(city level)]

Superhuman Speed: Han-Bin has been shown to cross short distances in instants.

[Travel speed : around 1800 km/h.]

Regeneration: Though limited, Han-Bin has been shown regenerating from injuries.

Skills [ ]

Han-bin gains the ability to release aura when his friends are threatened by Leonhart in their fight, althrought being clear that he cannot control the aura and end up hurting himself and almost blowing up his body.

After receiving the sword made by the World Tree roots, which absorbs his aura and life force, he start to gain more control of his aura, being able to use it to strengthen his attack and defence. Aura also helps him in damaging things which can’t be done by brute strength. The aura is related to the body, so when he unlocked it he already had an elevated aura.

Techniques [ ]

Due to his sheer strength and lack of skills Han-Bin developed techniques using his physical abilities alone, although none of this are contained in the Skills tab on his guideline.

Then he’s teleported along with thousands of people in front of a God, who gives them a «Guideline», something which allows them to check people’s levels and improve their skills, and tells them they are going to be sent to another world. But before that, they will receive some training.Hanbin is sent alone to a otherworldly mountain to train until he reaches Level 5. There’s just one problem: his «guideline» is malfunctioning, causing his Level to continuously revert to level 1 every time he’s about to reach level 5, trapping Hanbin in an endless cycle of levelling and restarting for YEARS!. On top of that, the enemies keep continuously matching his combat prowess, meaning every single fight he must endure is a life-or-death match, no matter his actual improved combat abilities.

After untold years for this hellish existence, One day Hanbin is unexpectedly let out of his prison only to discover himself in a world that hates and fears him as an ‘Otherworlder’, a summoned being sent by the demon king to ravage the lands and slay the world’s protecting Goddesses, with a long history of violence and bad blood between the Natives and the otherworlders like Hanbin. Forced to keep the truth of his identity secret, Hanbin must now find a way to survive in this strange new world without allowing others to find out his true identity, possibly get revenge on the beings who arbitrarily imprisoned him in a living hell against his will, and return to earth.

There is just one thing that lies in his advantage though- Hanbin’s stats have continuously stacked up over and over every time his level reset, meaning that whilst he’s technically level 5, his actual strength and abilities far dwarf any but the toughest monsters and beings around. Able to kill almost any monsters he meets without serious effort, Hanbin must now make his way in this strange new land and find the best way he can to survive before his immense strength brings him unwanted attention.

I’ll be entirely honest. This chapter had a lot of stuff going on, but the delivery of it and the pacing made it all feel really weak. There wasn’t enough weight given to all the important moments, and it overall felt like it was rushed. I would’ve liked to see more emotion and emphasis from the reveal of that guy being alive and Fellad being an otherworlder. Instead those moments just got glanced over like it was nothing special. It just feels like all the build up to it was wasted. I still like the story so far, this was just somewhat of a let down.

PS: I’m writing this review for Season 1 of the series (First 50 chapters).

The premise of the series: Ryu Han-Bin, ex-military, is chosen and transported into a magical world. Everyone is given a guideline (you can level up, use stats, see skills etc) but his guideline is glitched. So, he spends a long time in the tutorial area because he can’t level up properly. This is why he is super strong.

It was okay in general. I would have quit but I wanted to give it more chance and I 2/5 Stars (%44/100)

PS: I’m writing this review for Season 1 of the series (First 50 chapters).

It was okay in general. I would have quit but I wanted to give it more chance and I managed to finish the 1st season. There are a lot of problems with this one and I won’t continue with the 2nd season. It actually starts out pretty interesting. When we get past the introduction part, the problems start to occur as well. Here are some things that bothered me:

1)The pacing is terrible. It is very slow most of the time. However, sometimes, especially during the fights, it ends so quickly that you don’t even have any time to comprehend. Because the pacing is almost always slow, it gets boring to read and I really forced myself to finish mere 50 chapters.

2)The protagonist is problematic. I love overpowered main characters but there needs to be a balance. Our MC is so strong that even absurdly strong villains are piece of cake for him. So, no matter how brilliant you write the fight scene or draw it, it becomes meaningless because you know the MC will just beat him in 2 hits or something.

Han-Bin’s true level is unknown, but can be estimated based on his stat points.

His lvl 1 stats are (chapter 2) :

During chapter 3 again, after the 22 years timeskip, he’s lvl 4 again, with the same stats. So it is safe to assume he gain the following stats points for each lvl 1-lvl 4 loop :

During chapter 3, his true lvl 4 stats are revealed :

So by dividing 1364 per 4 (Strength bonus stats points / points per loop), or 682 per 2 (Recover bonus stats points / points per loop) or 341 per 1 (Vision bonus stats points / points per loop), it is possible to deduce that Han-Bin endured 341 loops.

Multiplying the number of loops per the number of level gained during a loop, it is possible to deduce his theoretical level gain during his 22 years of looping : 341 * 4 = 1364.

Adding on top of that the base 3 levels he gain ~~before the first~~ on the final loop, Han-Bin theoretically leveled-up 1367 times.

Adding the first time he leveled-up to level 5, he has leveled-up 1368 times.

If we assume every consecutive level required more experience points than the original loop, and therefore the hell dogs were giving experience based on their difficulty rather than their apparent level, then his level is 1369.

We know from chapter 2 that reaching level 3 required 280 exp. If he only gained 280 exp every time he reached level 3, then that would only put him partially towards his actual next level.

This also doesn’t take into account the 54,581,862,560 experience points he needed to exceed level 5.
