After each Update you usually have to start over, as is the case with this one.

Sorry but the new weapon Dawn doesn’t seem to have a scabbard or the holstered mesh. It glitches out when it’s pulled out (invisible).
The «show holster when drawn» shouldn’t be on when a weapon doesn’t have a scabbard or the holstered mesh.

What should I do if I have MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME ERROR when I want to start this mod? Its happening in lower versions of this mod and i dont know how to fix it. Sorry if my english is bad.

You probably need to download the latest version of that MS package. That’s an odd error though, is your machine old?

o meu está bugado eu acho, já instalei o 4.1 e o 4.2 e o bug é o mesmo, não aparece nenhuma letra na tela, nem no menu nem em lugar nenhum quando eu abro o mod, alguém sabe resolver?

Idk if its some kind of bug, but when i did the varys quest and daenerys arrived, she’s just basically patrolling around sea and doesn’t land.I also couldn’t talk to her.

I would like to know if there are any lists of the possible villages that you can have as a king’s vassal.
For example, being Robb’s vassal, will I always have the Bear Island at first? My question is if is random (among the poorest) or is it always the same.

Also, I’d like to know if i need a surname for my «house» or i can just create a player called ex:»Eddard» and then I can make my own house called «Stark» or I need to be «Eddard Stark» from the player creation ( And I’m really sorry, english is not my 1st language 🙁 )

I think it’s random. First time I play the 4.2 Robb gave me a small village near Barrowtown, then I start a new game and the village was in the east near White Arbour.

Why previous version has almost 2,5 gb and this one has 1,5 gb? Unpacked it’s 3gb vs 4,5 gb xD Is it normal or I miss some folders?

Yeah, I am also curious about this. Was a lot of content removed or was there a lot of useless code/textures/models/sounds that has been finally cut out.

The mod has some lag to it which may freeze game movement for the few seconds. (Downloaded via steam workshop).

Until i find a fix try turning texture quality down to around 80%

#victarion greyjoy says she is a woman, but I edited a saved game and it was corrected.

I am having a couple of major bugs with the end of battles, it is practically unplayable with these bugs.

First, often (like 90% of field battles but it usually works when fighting in a siege) when I finish a battle one of my companions will talk to me, either whining about someone else or saying how much they love someone else it doesn’t matter, and I will not get to loot and I do not get moral or renown or anything for winning. This means I can never loot anything and my morale is always bad. This is the biggest issue and the most unplayable one.

Secondly I am often having 100+ enemies wounded and then when I go to the captured screen there is only exactly one unit of each type available to capture. This is a major downside because I can not get as many people to sell as slaves but it could be way worse since at least I get some.

Finally, I have had some enemy commanders that when defeated just say «I’m busy» and leave. Uh I don’t really care if you’re busy, you’re captured lmao. This is the least bad one since I often don’t capture enemy commanders anyways.

What kind of info do you need. I have the same issue and would love to help.

I think is related to the player conquering Dragon Stone or any castle in the vicinities like the one in the island to the left.
I know this because in one play-through where i left Dragon Stone to Stannis’ faction she was fine and in another one where i conquered the Castle trying to fix the fact where they both get it and it’s strange watching Stannis and Deanerys in the same place owning the same castle

You say her and Stannis own the same location?? This is another bug in itself, though no one else has reported it.

Just started playing 4.3 with no previous versions installed. I’m also experiencing this exact glitch. Can’t interact with her properly and can’t join House Targaryen. She doesn’t appear on the list of lords when asking for their location and she’s just out at sea patrolling. Quests I’ve done so far: finished the North/Nights Watch questline, delivered a letter to Stannis, received a Valyrian sword thanks to Jon, and then finished Vary’s questline. Not sure what else I should be reporting, nothing else seems out of the ordinary.

Don’t have my own kingdom. Dragonstone still belonged to Stannis. Was mostly an enlisted soldier under King Robb. Left his service once I received the first letter regarding his upcoming wedding. Went solo and started finishing Vary’s quest from that point.

I think it has something to do with the day she invade. Tried it many times. I did the varys questline very early with cheats to see the problem. Like early days, like day 1, and she seems to work. Then I waited 200 or more days, and she’s bugged.

I might have to try that. I can possibly import my character on a new save and cheat my way up to that point.

Yeah. seems like it. I hope it gets fixed though. Cause when she arrives early, the Westerlands gets defeated very easy. They’re at war with like 6 or 7 factions.

Do you play on static wars or sandbox? This could be crucial.

when i do it early the targaryen leaders are fine but if i do it alot later its broken too. i play on sandbox anyways

It seems to happen to both. Cause I’ve tried both. Doing the quest late seems to have her bugged.

Seems like finishing the quest early into the game works. Imported my character to a new game and cheated my way through the quest line. Couple of weeks later ingame and she spawned in as a proper NPC.

Also, I’m playing on static wars.

No cheats beyond using character import on myself and one of my companions from a previous version.

I own no fiefs so that appears to make no difference and I have no loyalties to other factions, also worth noting speaking to House Targ vassals I cannot ask them where she is located, she spawns in next to dragonstone, never enters and then sets sail and never lands. When you approach her you have two options, one is to set sail the other is to tell her to surrender which leads to combat where you can only change commander or leave.

She has the tf_female tag, which means she is female. Can you marry Lysa Aryyn?

I’m a big fan of this mod and I’ve been playing warband for many years and this is my far the best mod for warband. But, Ned Stark once said «Everything before the word but is horseshit», and here are some gamebreaking/over-exaggerated bugs I found in 5.3[Don’t know if its releavant anymore since 6.0 is out, but I don’t care]

— Companions who are noble and are promoted to vassals will sometimes not recruit men no matter how many troops, villages, castles and cities I give, e.g Serio Forell was given a castle at the Stormlands and indicted for treason due to not raising any men, he then joined the Reach and again proceeded to not raise an army. This has happened to me since I was at 4.0 with characters likeVal, Dacey Mormont, Ser [Noble Archer guy]/not Anguy.
— What is the use of the injury system, I mean it not a bug but more of an annoying feature that can potentially cripple you at the early game and just jumpscares you during late game. Its a realism feature I get it, but I think the probability for a critical hit to cause an injury is too high.
— What’s up with wild fire why is it so weak, I mean its relatively cheap compared to everything else in the market it has a pretty small blast radius and does little damage to knights.
— The castles are beautifully designed pathfinding’s not, I just bite my tongue every time one douchebag gets stuck on the ladders causing the entire army to halt and get picked off by arrows.
— Unsullied are too expensive
— Valarian swords are too expensive
— The Night’s watch is a joke if you don’t help them twice every month.
— Cities in Essos are unnecessarily huge, causing frame drops during sieges.
— Bringing a Warlord to justice quest is too difficult unless you bring 100 knights of the reach with you
— The castle food store is infinite, then why in bloody hell do you give us hope by showing a false number
— Spies are too expensive for the amount of work they do or the negative relation they bring to your character.
— Lords of destroyed kingdoms will just sit on my towns and never leave, so how the hell am I supposed to talk to them privately.
— The negative honor you get for hiring broken men is ridiculous, how does the entire continent know of my actions, besides only under my command do these men no longer raid caravans or harass villagers, so I’m doing everyone a favor but still its considered dishonorable.
— The faceless men are assassins not soldiers, so why are they for hire in Bravos.
— Tournament maps are ridiculous especially the one from dragonstone. Only maps like Kings landing and Lorath are fun.
— Naval battles are ffffffffffuuuuuuuucccckkkkkkkkkkkeeedddd.
— Bridge battles are buggy.
— Companions that cost more then 15k probably should have some decent armor and shields but don’t.
— Place some ******* bridges in Essos the maze like map is infuriating
— Some lords have 2 wives and some lords have children who are only 3 years younger than their father.
— Mantlets don’t do ****.
— In Naval assaults you can’t bring vassal armies to fight with you.
— A robber knight camp is way too difficult unless you bring the absolute best companions/knights with you.
— Storm’s end has a bug that insta kills you after you enter the castle to kill the last remaining defenders, thus causing you to restart the entire siege then die a second time from Renly using the force to crush you, again restart the siege to finally get taken prisoner by the baddies.

I’ve been playing it since the release. I must say Woah, dude, woah. You have done a great job since the Beta 7. But I keep missing good cavalry units and some lances. But you are on the good way, mate. Keep on it!

Why does is downloading painfully slow? I can download most games within 1-2 hours. This mod will take anywhere from 8-14 apparently.

Hello mate. First you need mount and blade warband installed. Next extract this mod into warbands modules folder. You can then select the mod from the dropdown box from within the spashscreen after starting warband.

Hi, ive downloaded the file, extracted it and copied it into the modules folder. Then when i try to start the game, i select the mod on the launcher and it starts to boot up. However after the taleworlds screen it shows the loading screen for less than a second then goes black and crashes. Ive tried downloading it again and extracting again but same result. Any ideas?

Really really really big update and greatly extended lands! Troops finally have some really cool ****. Beta 8 just needs a fast hotfix.

Suggestions for a hotfix:
*Many vassals still use same(repeatable) flags, some have wrong flags.
*Faces. so many fk up faces. including kingsguard. and especially Essos.
*Few duplicated characters. well at least that’s what characters board shows.
*Female faces almost don’t age. haha. ha.
*One fk female hair texture. could female get at least one more hair texture?
*Can you NOT make Free Folk lame as **** and deafeatable in 40-100 turns?
*House Velaryon needs Drftmark as castle pls. crap castle but castle as castle is. Also their are valyrians, white haired and stuff.

Suggestions for the future:
*Please expand Essos and make some action there.
*Adding a pirate faction in Disputed Land would be great action.
*Can we get valyrian skins?
*Can Freys just fk off Riverlands and be The Freys, for a slaughter?!
*Boltons and their bannermens as a faction too?
*Sellsword companies for hire?
*Better custom flags to choose from?

If your going to report bugs can you please do it correctly? You make no attempt to explain the problems..

The only vassals that use the same flags are the Nights Watch and the Free folk and for good reason.
What faces? pictures please?
Which characters are duplicated?
There are much more than one female hair texture.

Essos will be expanded on in due time.
Valyrian skins are already available.
Sellsword companies are already available for hire in many different ways.

Kay. damn what warband version should I use with this mod? As from what you stated I understand that problem is my and not Beta 8.

Because I have many bugs, many. Like even House Greyjoy use wrong flag. They use Harlaw flag. Beta 7 was like fine and then Beta 8 appeared like really really cool, but bugged. I guess this could be because I use older version of warband. I at least hope so.

im not sure where i should post an issue. Cant seem to access faction specific armory in towns, despite joining the required faction.

you have to have like 60 relations. you can get armor from whatever culture you chose at the beginning

i like this mod but it’s quite unstable. whenever i enter town it crashes by third out of ten.

You can disable the scenic animation, which makes it so that it opens the town menu like native.

Hey Produno, One thing ive noticed about the mod with every new save is the storm lands usually take kings landing right away. The issue it seems to me is that no lords from the west are bothering to go over there to stop the siege. Is it possible to have a few fiefs over on that side of the continent owned by a greater variety of west lords at the start? I think having more lords hanging around the area would do good for defending.

Love the Mod Produno, I seem to crash less now with the optimizations after large battles which is always a plus from me. I’ve noticed something wrong with Chroyane though. Everytime I try to walk around there seems to be invisible walls blocking me as well as part of the grounds/lanscape seems to be missing as well as a bunch of floating objects. I know the city is supposed to be a destroyed ruin but I doubt that’s how it’s supposed the be in game. Keep up the awesome work!

Ok, I play this game through steam. which is probably why I’m having so many problems. I’ve also tried to download this game through this website but it does not let me open it after download. Do I need to download something first. My computer is up-to-date so do I need a program that lets me play this game? Is there some kind to trick to downloading this game or do you just click the download button?

You need a program to un-zip the file like WinRaR or 7-Zip, and then place it in the «Module» folder in the M&B:WB directory.

Go to your game library on steam and «right click» Mount and Blade Warband, click «properties», then «Local Files» tab then the first option which is «Browse Local Files». That is you Mount and blade warband Directory. Now right click on the 3.0 file you downloaded from this side and take the folder that says «A World of Ice and Fire» and place it inside the «Module» folder. after that launch the game and select the mod from the drop down menu.

You really have to mention in item information that arakh can’t be used for blocking. That’s kind of confusing. I’ve thought at least the long one could block. Of course, that thing would be some imbalanced with it’s speed and damege but that’s not really obvious that you can’t block with it.

There’s a lot of melee weapons in this mod, but what about bows? Maybe, some unique bows for Dothraki faction or free cities(i know about the war bow)?

I’m still thinking you have to add an option that would allow to turn off a wounds\scars system and stumbling. Yes, as you’ve said before, it’s realism and prevents reckless charges towards enemy. But i think that kind of realism makes game less interesting. And those who think similarly must have choice to turn it off

And one more thing, once more forgot it. When enlisted, commander’s report gives wrong information about exp required for next promotion. On practice, you need twice amount of it, and even more at higher levels. It’s quite confusing, i’d say.

i can’t open the game it says hlsl-data-handles(9) is not valid then it says hlsl-data-handles(45) is not valid and then i changed from direct x 9 to 7 and those problems disapeared but another one popped out it says unable to open commonRes\ui-server-filter.brf and then the game crash

Are you downloading the Mod through Steam Workshop? I’ve noticed a lot of people have problems with DLing Warband mods from Steam. If so DL it straight from this site and place the mod manually.

Put the DirectX back to 9 and reinstall the latest version of DirectX and see if that works.

When you install the mod are you placing them directly into the game directory and overwriting other files? If so that’s NOT how to install Mount and Blade mods. You place the big folder with all the files into the «Module» folder. Uninstall/Reinstall Warband and then try it that way and see if it works then.
The file path should look like this \Steam\steamapps\common\MountBlade Warband\Modules\A World of Ice and Fire

what about siege problems. try riverrun or the twins. there is an invisible wall in riverrun that blocks the attackers and this middle tower that has 3

4 archers nd attackers can’t reach them. while in the twins, attackers AI are either standing or running in circles unable to attack the wall.. another thing is getting into a fight while camping, each round is like 40

ich attackers with no reinforcements while ur army spawns with the same amount of troops but keeps getting reinforcements till its like 200 vs 40

ich, not to mention hundreds of annoying errors at the start of such battle. my battle size is 250! i may be doing something wrong so feel free to point me to the right direction..

two days ago i was loosing a battle in the north against broken men, so i ran from the field, and moral collapsed.

Then i travel to the brothel in winterfell, trying to raise my moral army.

I found that the lady inside was not wearing a bra, she was half naked. Well, even if it does not bother me, also my young cousins play this mod. I think it is quite an inappropriate content on a game which is freely playable by everyone, and most of all, by young people.

I would like to understad if this happens just to me, or someone else have noticed the same problem. Or, at worst, if it is a programmed change in the game.

The castle that belong to Myr (don’t remember the name right now, the only castle that Myr posesses) is bugged as hell, check it out for the next patch. Do not try to attack that castle leading your troops, they will all spawn underwater and die, and you with them. If you watn to take that castle I recommend using the «Order your troops to assault without you» option. I lost almost all of my army assaulting that castle. Had to rebuild my army and do it that way to conquer it.

I am having a glitch with 8.1. When I try to recruit from villages, i click on volunteer recruit but the game gives a red prompt saying «you start performing hard peasantry work» and when I try to speak to a lord in the field, there is no dialogue chat. only straight up attacking them options. I restarted a new game and still same issue. Please help

can you make a quick fix to increase money reward, escort caravan from dothraki camp to Laniport with 500 paid only is too absurd. the wine, cattle delivery too.

with troop upgrade, port fee like this make the entire guild quest look like a joke

in v8.1 battle map, AI really buggy, Iorder my troop to retreat but instead of going to the nearest exit they run traight across the map and the teleport glitch are all over the place, 59/62 men stuch at the edge of the map

BTW did you do anything to the horse speed, robber knight ride speed 42 horse constantly out run me on speed 48 is not normal at all

I’m keeping the recommended setting but I’m still crashing with a runtime error

Agh, you need to delete font_data in the data folder. I’ll re-upload without it. It causes issues for some people. Though I use it myself to make the ingame text smaller.

You’re full of ****, like the rest of these people.

Come on, you have absolutly no right to say something like that. I’m used to play both, and WOIAF have nice features as brytenwalda, but ACOK have a lot more details from book and easier way to lvl up without having to enlist in any factions. It does also have specials places like SummerHall to explore, and of course, if you’re just a show watcher, you don’t care at all about that, but for a real fan that reads book, it’s great to have those littles things and you can feel all the hard work the author has put into his mod.

So no, this mod is not 10x better than ACOK, both mods are just not the same at all, and you can’t compare it. Saying this kind of things is not fair for Cozur, and it’s not true.

The only thing you can say without telling lies, is that maybe you like this mod more than the other, that doesn’t make any of them better than the other one, unless the world is turning around you.

Hotfix added. You only need to install this if you installed the main file BEFORE this patch was released. I updated the main file with the fixes.

Base attribute needed for inventory management has been changed to strength instead of intelligence.
Adjusted map icon textures. They now look a little more vibrant.
Adjusted many map icon positions and centralised the flags.
Adjusted parts of the campaign map.
Added new banner shaders.
Added More cheat options:

Added rumours from VC to travellers.
Added bards playing poems to ladies from VC.
Updated all whore and religious troop dialogues to stop being able to gain moral over and over, plus some others.

Yes, there are quests, but not that many. We’re already working hard on adding more. But it’s pretty tough for a three-man team.

Hello, there seems to be a problem since I cannot disable the party morale realism thing that requires the party to need rest. Whenever I check the box it just unchecks afterwards. There are a couple problems with other boxes as well. I would play how it is but there doesn’t seem to be any way to rest in Winterfell.

They will be removed for the hotfix. If you cant rest in Winterfell you must have negative relations with the north. Try resting in one of the many special locations, another factions centre or you can make camp anywhere you like.

Thats because you are still injured from the opening sequence. I will probably change it so you re enter the map with full health.

I’ve found the farmstead on the Winter Is Coming quest, however i cannot enter it. My party can enter the area/location however the only option is to leave.

Im the kind of guy that don’t really like to try out unfinished stuff. But i’m too curious on this mod. Acok is a good one. But some stuff don’t really fit well with Game of thrones overall. So i wanna ask, What are your plans for the mod? Are you gonna go do your own «style/vision» of the universe or are you going to try to be as close to the lore as you can?.

What i mean is for an example. Will all houses have their own armor? And by that i mean will the troops have the armors? (This is really important.) Acok for example removed Lannister armors for the Top Tier knights. Which me personally find appalling. They are the Elite they should be seen as the Elite. And another thing is that Acok (i do love it don’t take me wrong) keep changing core stuff every new update. Like removing items. «Because this is my vision of my mod» I read that somewhere. Could be that i just don’t like change, im wierd that way.
But i want to know if you’ll keep being open and not as closed in. (I really hope so). Other than that, great job guys. Keep going, I’ll probably play either way, just wanted to get a foot in and ask since it’s still a beta.

also since cozur ****** most of the westerosi units up in his lastest version so they look hideous, I’d be putting my money in this mod and its future.

Also the lance banners dont animate and the owner or any other dev wont help me out. So I think this mod will have the proper lance banner animations added for battles and whenever you are in taverns etc.

No, you need to start a new game.

You do know it takes a lot more experience to level up troops then it needs to be. It’s really just a hassal at this point.

Not sure if this is where I need to say something as I am new to this but the quest «Bolster the black». I think thats the name of it, doesnt seem to work. I get the quest, but when I go back to Robb Stark, there is no option to get more troops for the wall. What can I do? Running on new 9.9

A World of Ice and Fire 2.0 Release

The 2.0 release of A World of Ice and Fire marks another massive milestone within the production of the modification. A large number of bugs have been fixed, including quite a few long standing ones. A huge number of new items have also been added, these all follow the guidelines set out from the HBO TV series Game of Thrones. A massive thanks to Robertidaniel and all of the backers for allowing this possibility and also a big thanks to Kraggrim who has been working diligently to get all of this complete for this release.

There has been some big changes in this release and one of them I would like to touch upon is the removal of the find item cheat menu. The reasons behind this are simple, it causes bugs, issues and the game to crash. This is a limitation with the sheer size of the mod and the warband engine. Some of you have voiced your concerns of me removing this and I hear you! So I have been trying to add ways to allow the player to acquire all the items in the mod.

One of those ways was always possible. You kill the lord and you acquire his gear. An alternative way, get crowned King of the Seven Kingdoms (or Queen) and send the person in question to serve at The Wall.

A brand new way is to buy gear from the faction blacksmiths in various towns.

Another exciting feature is the ability to only kill White Walkers and Wights with the correct weapon. This was a feature in previous builds but was bugged and did not work correctly. You will be glad to know this is now fixed and the Others are now harder than ever. Also watch out for them giant Wights ;).

Aside from all the code fixes, NafNaf_95 and Moose has been working hard fixing and adding new scenes. NafNaf_95 has managed to fix a huge amount of siege bugs and path finding issues so hopefully 2.0 should now be a much better experience all round.

Again a big thanks to all the supports on patreon and all those that have donated through other means. This allows me to continue working on the mod making it better and allowing me to release updates quicker.

Quests within AWoIaF Modification.

Contents

Main Questline

AWoIaF Mod contains a main Quest line which will be initialized on starting a new game. You can choose to follow this quest or not, though its advised to do so to gain some good experience and a few extra Stags. The main questline currently consists of;

You are tasked to find a farm north of Winterfell (Farmstead) and eliminate the wildling threat there. Slaying the raiding party leader gets you 10 honor, 10 renown and 200 silver stags.

You are tasked deliver a message to the Night’s Watch Lord Commander Jeor Mormont.

Bridges and Bones

You are tasked assist the Night’s Watch host and suppress the wildling invaders at The Bridge of Skulls.

Bolster the Black

You are tasked to return to Robb Stark and argue the Lord Commander’s case for more troops.

You are tasked to return to the Lord Commander and give him Robb Stark’s answer.

The Lands of Always Winter

You must gather a small force and possibly a Valyrian weapon and scout the lands of always winter.

Mutiny at Caster’s Keep

Three weeks after the Lands of always winter quest, Jon Snow sends a letter asking you to meet. You arrive and find out that Jeor Mormont was betrayed and killed in Craster’s Keep. We agree to go there.

Lord Varys’ questline

Lord Varys can be found in the Great keep at King Landing. Here you can initialize his questline which includes 5 tasks;

1. The Messenger

You are tasked to meet up with one of Lord Varys’ agents in Sunspear (Dorne). After receiving the coded message from the agent, you are to return to Lord Varys.

You are tasked follow the Spy who is about to leave King’s Landing to his contact. Capturing the spy is a must. Capturing the spy with his contact results in better rewards. The spy’s contact’s party consists of 5-11 squires.

You are tasked to assemble your own force and destroy the Hedge Knight camp located in the Vicinity of Duskendale (The Westerlands). The Hedge Knight party consists of 18-41 Hedge Knights and 31-56 Sellswords.

You are tasked to train a dozen (12) Skilled Bravos and bring them to Lord Varys. This can be done by recruiting lower tier Bravos troops from villages and training them up and/or by recruiting higher tier Bravos that can sometimes be found in the Bravoos tavern.

You are tasked to meet Lord Varys near the Sept of Baelor to discuss silent matters. From there you will speak with him and the quest will continue accordingly depending on how you reply to the matter.

Beric Dondarion’s questline

To initialize Beric Dondarion’s quest you will need to find him at Hollow Hill. His quests include;

A Lannister always pays his debts

You are tasked to defeat the Lannister raiding party that has been pillaging villages in the vicinity of Hollow Hill. The Lannister raiding party consists of:

14-20 Lannister foot soldiers, 10-12 Lannister Arbalesters, 14-20 Lannister scouts.

The Purge

The dagger Silence is obtained through killing all of the Lannister troops during the opening sequence to the game and thus successfully completing the quest The Purge.

We Take What Is Ours

The quest «We Take What Is Ours» is activated by talking to Rory in the tavern of the town The Arbor. He request your aid getting rid of the Ironborn captain called Dagmer Cleftjaw who is causing problems in the area. If you accept the quest, Dagmer Cleftjaw appears in the tavern of the town of The Arbor. If you talk to Damger Cleftjaw you have an option to intimidate him (if your strength is high enough) or fight him and his warband outside the gates of The Arbor.

Quests through rumours

You Win or You Die

There is a random chance of activating and completing this quest when attacking herds of boars and huge boar will spawn. If you kill the huge boar you will be informed that this is the boar that killed King Robert Baratheon. After you complete the quest, you can go back to King’s Lands and there is an option to turn in the boar for which results in the player receiving stags and a boost in reputation. The huge boar that killed Robert Baratheon can roam as far north as Dukensdale to as far south as Storms End to as far west as Hard’s own. Some players have specifically said they have encountered the huge boar around the Stormslanding area.

Joining the Free Folk

Join the King beyond the wall

You will need to complete this quest if you wish to join the Free Folk.

Location Based Quests

Razing of the Temple of the Bearded Priests

The player can obtain the Valyrian steel glaive Retribution by razing the Temple of the Bearded Priests, defeating the army led by Calypso Eranelar, then selecting the option to execute Calypso Eranelar.

Giant Lair beyond The Wall

Beyond the wall you can find a giant lair and if entered you fight a group of giants.

In the forests near Deepwood Motte there is a wolf den. Upon entering the wolf den you fight a group of dire wolves.

Cave beyond The Wall

Beyond the wall there is Cave in which several Wildlings live. Here you can find obsidian arrows and an obsidian dagger, useful to help defeat wights if you lack Valrian weapons.

Old Valyria

At the crossroads between Saltpans, and Lord Harroway’s Town at The Crossroads Inn (screenshot) you will find Ser Janis Lyren. He will give you a quest to find, and rebuild his ruined castle (this is how you start your own kingdom). To complete the quest, you will need the following:

You will find his Ruined Castle east of Volantis (screenshot). You do NOT need a boat to complete this quest, as you can take a ferry to Essos.

Note: Ser Janis Lyren is NOT a companion, and will die, but he is not needed once you got the quest from him.

Brog Matter’s questline

Bringing a Warlord to Justice

You gain access to Bringing a Warlord of Justice quest sometime after reaching over 1,000 renown through a random map event. You are tasked with defeat the Warlord Brog Matter and his army. This quest is considered end game content and is meant to be challenging so be prepared.

Freeing a Brother

You gain access to Freeing a Brother quest after a set amount of time IF you complete Bringing a Warlord to Justice quest AND chose to spare Brog. In this quest, Brog requests that the player helps him free his brother from a Slaver’s camp. This quest is considered to be end game content and the player should expect a big, epic battle when attacking the Slaver’s camp.

War for Dawn

The War for Dawn quest occurs upon the onset of the White Walker invasion. The objective of the quest is to defeat all the White Walker armies. The player is receives word of the White Walker invasion from a warrior of R’hllor and his warband with a request to aid in opposing the coming struggle. If the player accepts the quest and is R’hllor in religion, the messenger and his warband joins the player.

Here is the patch for V7.0. If you downloaded the full version after this patch was released then you will not be needing this as i updated the main file to include the fixes.

PRODUNO i had a 400 day game on 7.0 and i overwrite these files to my files of 7.0 and now my save doesnt open. i press it to open and the game close with an error message > what do i do to fix this? it takes a lot of time to reah 400 days you know and i really dont want to lose it. i could re download the v. 7.0 and keep my save but you dont even have a link for it anymore only for 7.1. so if you can tell me how to fix this or give me a link to download 7.0 again please

The number of troops did not change between any v7.x version.

First of all, I love the mod I haven’t be so into a game as much as with this mod, but now that I have advance in the game they are some problems that bothers me and wanted to sayed:

1.- When you lost a battle and you have some of the special companions in your party (Kurkelet or Reed Matter) they will be lost forever, because it doesn’t matter if you go to the city that some travelers tell you your companion is at the moment, they will never be there and all the benefits they used to give to the party (or the possibility of maken them lord’s) is gone. I would like to have at least a cheat option to speak with any character in the game so in that way you could «find» them and return to your party

2.- Men, when my fist encounter whith the white walkers toke place, I was expecting a challenge but not a nightmare, that speed of them is INSANE, they run as fast as my horse, my only chance is try to make my trops stay in potition while I shoot arrows on my Dorne horse

3.- When you have enough renown and you decide to talk to one guy at the Dothraki lord place, they will give you 5 Khal Horselords, which are not a extraordinari unit but it is a bit weir, because when they die and you come back later, the guy stay in a permanent state of «hey here you have the troops you wanted» and they give you 0 Khal Horselords

Why does it keeps on crashing!? This «Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error» always pops up every 2-3 times I try to enter any custom settlement both in Westeros and Essos. And the patch doesn’t fix it either.

I’ve seen that the latest version is 7.12, and i’ve been looking for it, but the latest version here at Moddb is 7.11. Is there a place where i can find the v7.12 mod? So, there is this marshal bug where if you get captured as a freelancer in a lord’s army, you get marked as captured forever, and no lords will ever follow you when you are the marshal. They all say the marshal is indisposed. I read from a site that it’s a bug in an older version of Freelancer. Do you happen to use an older version of Freelancer in your mod?

why he game keep crashing me when i fight?
itried everything in the past 3 weeks to try and play this game

u on crack warband?

I decided to join the Freefolk, and I accepted to quest to hunt down a crow patrol and bring their armor to join Mance Rayder, but for some reason no matter how many crow patrols I kill and how much of their armor I take, I can never complete the quest.

Worse, when the quest failed after 30 days (as I was carrying about a dozen sets of crow armor around from their patrols) I couldn’t accept it twice so now it looks like I’m permanently barred from joining the Freefolk.

This is a really cool mod, otherwise. Did I do something wrong or is this a bug?

A World of Ice and Fire v1.3

Here’s a small patch fixing some of the most problematic issues with gameplay. You will need to install the contents over your v1.2 folder. I am happy to say this build should be save game compatible, though I would always recommend starting a new game after any patch.

* Battle continuation added to sieges.
* Expanded the defensive area for the siege of Pyke.
* Changed the way killing lords works;

— If you are at war with the faction of the lord you killed, the relationship loss will be less.

— The relationship differs depending on the reputation of the lord killed.

— You will get a big hit for killing an upstanding lord, but if you kill a debauched lord the hit will be much less.

Fixes

* Joining sea battles when enlisted with a lord will now correctly spawn you in a sea battle.
* Fixed an issue with Golden Company Pikemen weapon skill.
* Fixed an issue with Westerland Pikemen weapon skill.
* Fixed regular sailors not giving ship speed increase but sellsails giving twice as much as they should.
* Your quest log will now update correctly for the lands of always winter quest.
* Small issue fixed with A Lannister always pays his debts quest.
* made a few small changes/fixes to ten towers scene.
* Attempted fix for lords companions being cloned when imprisoned. (requires a new game).
* Fixed issues with hair + beard textures.
* Fixed a small issue with Whitewalker meshes.
* Your own faction should no longer hate you when you kill a lord.

I downloaded 1.2 and updated to 1.3 and i got a Runtime Error know why?

I think if you play with the files, you can reduce the troop cost and upgrade the exp your troops get

They must have not done it properly, I got the WW to invade at around 350 days or 400 day

invaded for me around 4500

What do you mean Install over v1.2? how do I do that?

You download the patch and copy the content in that download over to the v1.2 folder and paste it, so it overwrites whatever files need to be overwritten in the v1.2 folder.

How do you attack a castle? I got made the Marshall of Dorne and I have no option to actually attack enemy castles, just gives me a bunch of useless preparation options while all my troops die of the flu?

For castle/town sieges you have two importants tabs: 1. Prepare Siege 2. Prepare assault.
Prepare siege gives you the opportunity to assess enemy’s defenses / put checkpoints/blockade / sanitation.
Prepare assault gives you two things: build mantelets (reduces vanguard’s death) / clear the ground and prepare for assault. The former is optional but the latter is compulsive to enable the «send the vanguard and lead the troops» options in the «prepare assault» tab.

Therefore, to unlock the possibility to go in «real time battle» and actually taking the castle you have to «clear the ground and prepare» then go back to the «prepare assault» tab and select «send the vanguard and lead your troops»

How i can get the valyrian’s sword??

I Think you have to have around 600 or so renown and have to go to Qohor with the Lands of Always Winter quest active.

Hey, I’ve been playing this mod for a while and it is absolutely one of my favorites! I just had a few questions about upcoming content. Do you plan on adding more «story quests» kind of like the ones at the very beginning of a new game? If so, would these possibly include various events such as the Red Wedding, Petyr Baelish’s rise to power in the Vale, the Targaryen invasion(Dany or Aegon), etc? Also, is there a way to build on the settlement building mechanic? When we build one and upgrade it, not much really happens since the other lords don’t really seem to notice that it exists. It would be cool to see a castle sprouting up as a new power. Lastly, there’s just a few bugs(?) I’ve noticed for example, Sansa and Arya Stark say that their father is Ned even though he’s not in the game. You can still court them but can’t really progress much. Perhaps if Catelyn Stark was their «guardian» and existed like Barbary Dustin or Maege Mormont? I really hope to hear back, this mod and this series is one of my favorite of all time!

Lots of meshes have been modified and optimised by me Kraggrim and Marshal_157.
Updated some Ironborn textures from Kraggrim.
Made raiding parties more aggressive.

Fixed issues with meshes.
Removed excess Whitewalker parties that should not have been there.
Arakhs should now correctly block.
You should now be able to engage all bandit parties.

Does anyone know what time the targaryens invade? Also, can you actually join them as a vassal as the Varys quest says you can?

I found that you can, but I noticed something with the faction armor vendor, I can’t access it, it says I need to be associated with House Targaryen, even though I’m a vassal of house Targaryen..Can this be fixed?

You need to either choose Valyrian on game start, or have high relations with House Targaryen.

This is like this so players cannot hop about to each faction just to buy faction armours.

Another question, is it possible to recruit crownlander troops, because all I could find was Dragonstone recruits. It doesn’t seem possible, but I don’t know?

Anyone has an idea how to kill the white walker party now when you’re the only one being able to deal dmg?

there are some meshes problems on atleast stark and bolton armor. thay become invisible from a certain distance

Will be another hotfix soon.

Ye someone went crazy with the lODs lol, since armours look prettier if each armour piece is its own thing, but then it’s seperate meshes, now someone also tried to make LODS (so lower texture variants of the armour/mesh at long distance) for each individual piece, but they don’t add up. Prolly would’ve been simpler to just do a single LOD for the whole armour, since it’s much lower texture at a distance anyhow.

I can probably run through the resources after work tomorrow and just copy over the 1.2 LODs, really won’t make a difference at a distance and will tie you over till the hotfix.

Hotfix should be tomorrow. The meshes are re-worked, just trying to get a couple more fixes in beforehand 🙂

Could you also give the option to remove weapon breaking? Since my army of Pikemen lose their weapons often so its a bunch of people punching around since they only have one weapon.

I have a new script error occurring with version 2.1. The find new faction script is not working for lords trying to get rid of lords for treason. Tywin Lanister and the prince of Dorn have been trying to banish the same several lords for a while now

I noticed that there is no «find an item» in the cheat menu, is this a bug or a addition to the mod?

Adjusted Dragonstone to stop Ai getting stuck near it.
If the player owns Dragonstone when Dany invades, then she will declare war on the player and siege the castle.

Targaryen lord bug
Unless the Targaryen spawn before around day 150 they may patrol the sea forever. This update ‘should’ fix it but a new game may need to be started.
Please provide feedback if it is working ok for you on a new game.

Looting issues
If you have trouble looting then make sure your companions are not placed at the bottom of your party.
I am still trying to find as fix for this.
